What fucks me up about Neds death is he didn't have any reason to be there. Duck and Aubrey were fated or whatever to go to Sylvain and get wrapped up in all this but Ned just happened to see barclay in the forest, accidentally hit the gate with his car that night, anything had changed and Ned would have lived because he never would have met Aubrey and Duck. He wouldn't have died thinking everyone hated him. But then Ned wouldn't have been loved. There'd be no Statue of Ned, no "Last Episode of Saturday Night Dead" playing, Aubrey and Ned wouldn't have found a family in each other. Im gonna be sick about this arc. Ned Chicane the character ever.

I'm not sure if it's just me, but I love the family troupe everyone just gets thrown into in Reverse: 1999.

Sotheby and Sonetto? Younger sister and older sister.

Druvis and Vertin? Aunt and niece.

Regulus? The Aunt that isn't actually part of the family biologically but everyone's just accepted her.

It's not just with the main story either, it's very obvious that Tooth Fairy plays the more responsible, parental role throughout the entire story of Green Lake.

She and Z are obviously divorced and sharing split custody over their 5 and/or more children.

I've realized that there's this specific type of found family that I adore where it's just this one extremely concerning kid going around doing all this dangerous and reckless stuff and just summoning all these parental figures to them who all end up so stressed out and going "Kid, kid no. Go get some sleep, take care of yourself. Please, I can't keep doing this. Please just stop."

Ch209 (p3), Offers and lies

The remaining circus members are just as clueless as he is -- actually more clueless -- so he sets off to find answers. Somehow, he figures out that Smile must be "Ciel Phantomhive", who sometimes works with Scotland Yard. I consider this an interesting hole in the story, and fans might be tempted to fill that in....

Anyway, it's too soon to think the rest of the first tier are dead, so he's holding out for getting to the bottom of this, finding them again, and finally being accepted as a true member of their family.

Snake doesn't want to believe they are kidnappers, but he knows they are up to no good. These conflicting thoughts and feelings are like snakes, as they "writhed and tangled" inside his mind.

Even after our earl tells him what the circus is secretly up to, Snake hopes to be reunited with the ones he was closest to. He wants them to atone for their mistakes but then live in peace and happiness.

He sees joining the Phantomhive household as his best bet for finding them, especially since our earl lies about their whereabouts/fates. They are dead, but our earl claims he's still searching for them.

Life with the Phantomhives definitely has its perks, in the meantime. Gaining a basic education, not being gawked at by spectators, great food, and so on.

Of course, there's the incident on the ship, with the rude ladies, but our earl and Sebastian both work to build up his self confidence and self esteem.

He enjoys being with the Phantomhive household, and he might see them becoming his family. Despite this, Snake still misses the circus troupe and longs to be with them again.

Thanks to Doll being reanimated as a Bizarre Doll, Snake's hopes have come true, just not as expected.

okay okay listen to me LISTEN TO ME. they start doing this whole family skit thing as an acting exercise (Itaru as the dad, Citron as the mom, Tsuzuru Sakuya and Masumi as the kids (in age order), Chikage as the grampa when he shows up) and yes okay it's a silly bit but they ARE a family, okay, they take it very seriously, they all have some level of issue surrounding family but they have EACH OTHER now, i BELIEVE they and everyone around them describe themselves as a family unit but i don't have the energy to fact check that. hell tsuzuru wrote a play for them all that was specifically ABOUT making a little found family unit. they're so good. fuck.

Yandere Illumi x reader- Halloween?

tw: kidnapping, slight misogyny, this is kind of fluffy, ooc, illumi is a warning right off the bat

”Dear?” You blink, almost unsure of what your seeing. The fever dream feeling is swatted away when illumi placed a gentle tap on your shoulder

“Is something wrong? Feeling unwell?” He puts down the incredibly detailed carved pumpkin on the ground “I was told many people do these things” he was, unsurprisingly, not dressed up as anything

The fake decorations and (seemingly) fake blood on the ground was certainly familiar but yet it felt like you were in a completely different world

“As much as I frown upon indulging in childish traditions, I thought you may appreciate just a bit of the strange holiday” you try not to focus on the underlying insult and implication. “T-Thank you” it was a lesson that you learned early on, just thank him and smile, maybe you can survive your lifestyle ever since you were taken if you could just remember to thank him and smile

“Would you like to watch a horror movie, I asked milluki which he recommended” that wasn’t a good sign that milluki was involved in this process but it was slightly redeemed when you didn’t see any suggestive looking films in the pile on the end table, you smiled at the comfortable couch

The movie plays, and illumi begins quietly pointing out inaccuracies every once in a while. Causing a few giggles to slip past your lips at both the movie and his overly-surgical approach to the silly animations

When the screen turns back, your barely awake, so before you can even attempt to get up;he carries you bridle style to your silky bed covered in neatly folded bed blankts

He places the pumpkin in the room with a tea light in it, you peek an eye open to see the design once more while looking rather straight ahead

then you close your eye, and grab illumis arm to cling to it. You might hate him tomorrow, but it was fun playing pretend until your next annual indulgence
