“There is hardly anywhere the Empire is not these days. What if something happens to one of us? To both of us? What if you go out on a mission for Vos and you are killed or”—
“It’s us, brown eyes. And it’s me. I’d like to see the Empire try to keep me down.”
“Then what if one day I wake up and I cannot remember you? Or the girls?”
“Then we’ll help you remember all over again. All of us.”
“But what if”—
“You were having that nightmare about Tantiss, weren’t you?”
“Yes. I…don’t want to…go back to being….”
“Listen, Tech Ninety-Nine Genoa: you are never going back to that ever again. I promise.”
For the day five prompt of ND Tech Week. I’m thinking it takes Tech a little while to get back home, and a little while longer to figure out who he really is. He still has some rough days, and worries in ways he didn’t before. Whatever happened to him, and whatever he did afterwards, was something he couldn’t control—and it kept him away for so much longer than he wanted. Still, every once in while it hits him how much they lost, and how much they got back, and in spite of everything he thinks he must be the luckiest man in the galaxy to have come out the other side. After all, better late than dead. As Phee always says. (Or did that one time.)
'Is this like an Alice in Wonderland thing?' Leo called out, paddling towards Sensei and trying not to swallow water as he moved. 'Did you cry all these tears?'
'The mindscape does love a good metaphor.' Sensei called back, and he sounded fucking wrecked.
old dead bones that don't get theirs (death wish sidefic by @remedyturtles) was written to kill me, specifically, personally, actually. i still think about it Constantly
If no one's gonna make robot yuri out of the Cecil and Donald genderbends, then I'll do it myself
While Donna is as efficient as her male counterpart, she tends to be overzealous. That results in situations where she comes back looking alarmingly injured - not that it matters, because it's really just superficial nicks and cuts that Cecil can patch up herself with bandages and makeup.
No need to get the tech department involved. She can manage this just fine. Mind your business.

I took @sunshinetomioka's werewolf Guill headcanon and ran with it btw, credit to it
Time, it took us
To where the water was
That's what the water gave me
I've noticed that this is the second promotional/concept art with Peanut and water
Water evokes both birth and death ("That's what the water gave me" as in water gives us life but can also take it away / "Water of the Womb")
fitting with the overarching theme of death and rebirth of the game!
On the song by florence + the machine:
the irony of water which gives life now taking your life away (apparently a reference to Virginia Woolf's death by drowning)
The painting is Ophelia by John Everett Millais. It depicts the character Ophelia's death in the Shakespeare play Hamlet. The way his hands are placed outwards seem similar. Maybe that's deliberate? I've literally never read hamlet so I can't draw any connections here. If you've read/seen hamlet, please let us know your thoughts. (btw you have a very big brain)
this is just what I found on google search of Ophelia's character.
plus "Deception shatters Innocence" tagline of the game.
