I'm not saying that Shisui should be a world class assassin who gets hired to take out the son of President(?) Minato and ends up being, for the first time ever, successfully stopped by bodyguard kakashi so Shisui's reputation takes a huge blow so he has to finish the job and fix it, he brings intelligence expert Itachi and (??? Idk) poisoner Genma on side to help (genma gets paired up with security guard Raidou! Tenzo is in this AU somewhere lol) And they go head to head with Naruto's bodyguards, successfully snatching the kid, only to find that the same people have also kidnapped Sasuke... So shisui goes to kakashi, cue sexy fistfight in the rain, and they agree to team up together against the baddies and shisui snaps a lotta necks with his thighs and kakashi is like 'i am disturbed for finding you hot' and shisui is like 'luckily i like disturbed men' and they win, they make out, and shisui, in a flawless three piece suit, walks right into the bad guy/clients office and threatens him. Three weeks later, Mr bad guy is dead in a horrible accident. No one doubts that it was shisui... The end!

I think Marcille Kakashi fits best if we really wanna play off that "star student turned you're worst nightmare" angle, hes my favorite rising star prodigy who tried to run too far and too fast and crashed and burned for it

Also just Chimera Obito, cmon, come on. If nothing else, I am now committed to seeing Uchiha as chimeras, it's fun

Mad Mage Madara and ruler of the golden kingdom Izuna fits alarmingly well actually, both for the roles and like, narratively from multiple angles. Madara going mad bc of his brothers death, him turning Obito into a monster, his general monstrousness coming from a place of love. It works scarily well

Maybe Tobirama can take the role of that Yaad has, cursed to be immortal and lord of the golden country hidden within the dungeon in Izuna's absence. Madara visits him sometimes and insists it'll all be ok once Izuna is back as Tobirama calls him insane to his face

Anyways; back to the party.

So Marcille Kakashi and Falin Obito. Rin has to be on their team for obvious reasons, but I reeeeally wanna see Itachi, Shisui and Tenzo on it too bc I'm such a sucker for Team Ro.

Alternativley tho, if we make Kakashi an elf, what if we have Team Ro kind of take the place of the Canaries, and say Kakashi was once part of it but bc reasons eventually left and did his own thing? ANBU/ROOT -> Canaries pipeline or smthn idk

(I just want to see team ro somewhere around)

Anyways, Kakashi turning to black magic to save Obito, only inadvertedly managing to make him into a monster, both of them effectively dragging eachother down more and more and further and futher in their unwillingness to let eachother go.

I bet it'd do awful things to Kakashi's guilt complexe too, that'd be fun

Doing smthn fun, let Hashirama be a ghost wandering around trying to talk Madara down from his usual bullshit, but confined to the lower floors or else he risks losing himself. Now let him posess Tenzo bc they have similar magic and let it give him a cool plant magic power up, and also let this mean he can now move between floors as long as he stays inside of Tenzo. Maybe he can help guide them through the dungeon

Let Madara see Obito or Itachi for the first time and realize that his family somehow continued to exist outside of the dungeon walls, and let him feel smthn about it. Let him call him turning Obito into a chimera as something like love, something like welcoming him home, and let him try to offer Itachi something similar.

Love me Mercilessly Kakashi x f!Oc Chapter 34 It's been a long Season through... word count: 9k tw: mentions of anxiety/Ptsd [previous chapters on Ao3] A New Year means new beginnings. Akami, Kakashi and Sasuke struggle to see a future while they’re so consumed by their pasts. But maybe its enough to just be in the present...

So long as Kakashi was in the Village he’d spent 3 days out of each week with Akami and Sasuke. Usually twice during the work week and once on the weekend. They’d have dinner at their house or his place, Kakashi would meet them at the training ground or help spar in the backyard, and sometimes he would pick Akami up from Shushu-ya when she went out with Shikaku and Inoichi to walk her home. Every so often they’d only see him in the mornings, he’d bring coffee and taiyaki and walk them to school and work respectively.

Sasuke thought he would hate Kakashi being around so much, but to his surprise he didn’t mind. Kakashi used to be nervous around him; he wasn't much now unless Sasuke got him good. And though he wouldn’t admit it, he enjoyed their little back and forth. Before he’d say something rude and Kakashi would shut right up, but now that he was used to him Kakashi’d fire back. 

For instance the other day Kakashi was draped across the couch reading his dirty old man books so Sasuke marched up to the arm rest, stuck his nose in the air and said, “If I didn’t see you hanging off of Kami-chan’s arm everyday I’d think that book was your only friend.” 

Kakashi glanced over the top of the book in question to see Sasuke peel a prideful eye open and then returned his attention to his favorite characters to say “Well if I didn’t see you attend the academy everyday, I’d think you were really a miserable old man.” Sasuke didn’t have a comeback, so he harrumphed at Kakashi and stomped back into the kitchen to hide his small smile. He liked to see what Kakashi had to say. 

He liked when Kakashi cooked and he liked when he played board games with them, three people was infinitely more fun than two. Sasuke didn’tlike watching Kakashi kiss or cuddle or hold hands with his Kami-chan, it’s not that they did it often but once was more than enough. However he did quite like seeing Kami-chan so happy. And what he liked most of all was that he got to be a part of her life, he was included and he didn’t feel like an outsider or a ‘third wheel’ like he had heard Tenzo say. 

He did like that Kakashi had a ton of stories about Kami-chan, most of which he’d never heard before. Some about how cool she was, others more embarrassing. Like the time Kakashi had found a ‘love letter’ from her and Shisui. 

Shisui and Akami were 13 at the time it was written—they had just started dating—so the letter was beyond embarrassing. Kakashi didn’t think it should have been called a letter given the horrible way it read, it was more like school children passing notes back and forth. And he didn’t doubt that was exactly what they had done—only in between missions instead of in a classroom. Though he had been 16 when he found it and already well versed in romance thanks to Jiraiya's novels, so his standards were a bit higher.

Kakashi had gone over to Kami’s to pick up the kunai pouch he left behind. She was on guard duty but she told him where she’d left it and said it was fine he let himself in to retrieve it. So Kakashi came in through her window and headed to the desk in her bedroom. There it was sitting beside her own, when he picked up his pouch he knocked over hers. It was empty save for a couple battered kunai, crumbs from a soldier pill or two and a folded piece of paper. 

Naturally Kakashi unfolded it. 

He waited on the front steps of her apartment building for when she and Tenzo would return from Guard duty. It seemed fate was on his side as well because Shisui and Itachi were strolling over to meet them. 

Kakashi’s shit eating grin was barely contained by his mask. 

Once they all were within ear shot he stood up straight, laid a hand to his chest and read as loudly and as eloquently as he could. 

“-‘Dear Akami, Do you mean it when you say you love me? Because I do, I mean it down to my heart and soul. ~Love Shi’

-‘Dear Shi, Yes, I mean it, I wouldn’t say it if I didn’t. I love you. ~Love Kami’.”

Kakashi picked his head up from the note when he felt Akami’s eyes flash a vicious shade of yellow from across the street. He laughed to himself and read the next line, written with blue ink in Shisui’s steady hand. 

“-‘But will you love me when I’m mad or sad? Are you ready to be there for me if I need to cry or something? I feel like I can do things with you that I can’t do in front of anyone else, I can be me’.” 

Kakashi read trying to catch his breath. Akami started chasing him around the block. “Hatake! I will gut you! Give it back!” she screamed, as he looped back towards the others. 

He laughed maniacally and continued,  

“-‘Yes, I am ready to be there, I will always be there unless I’m eating chicken yakitori’.” “- ‘So chicken is more important than me?’.”

Kakashi ran around the tree in the front of the fire escape ready to utter the last line when Akami swung down from a tree branch and drove both her heels into his chest and sent him toppling over onto his stomach with a constricted grunt. But Kakashi was persistent and he scrambled in the dirt to grab the letter before she sat on him.  

“- ‘Only chicken yakitori, and only when I’m hungry. But if not, you are the only thing that matters to me.’ Akami signed her last note with a heart.`` Kakashi added giggling with glee. 

Akami destroyed the note and the others sat on the stoop and watched as she beat the crap out of him. 

Sasuke had to hold in his laughter the entire time, it was extra funny to see how angry Akami got as Kakashi retold the story. He swore he could see a vein forming over her temple every time Kakashi’s eyes squinted in delight. But by the end of the story, when Kakashi said the black eye he had for over a week was well worth it Sauske couldn’t hold back and he erupted into a fit of giggles. Which was exacerbated when Akami reluctantly smiled and shoved his face with her hand pushing him back against the couch cushions. But those little giggles were contagious and when he bounced back off the couch and clutched his tummy to laugh even harder they both joined him.

Eldrick yokai aesthetic, Uchiha merfolk have TEEF and hallucinogenic poison on his spines and his EYES do something wonky to the brain and oh yes yes yes Tenzo is a biologist/botanist studying kelp forests and he meets and starts making tentative friends with Shisui only for Orochimaru, his supervisor, to find out and catch the "find of a century!" And their boss, Danzo, wants to experiment on Shisui and Shisui is devastated and betrayed and the merfolk are freaking out thinking that he's dead and Itachi almost kills Tenzo before Tenzo manages to explain that he never meant for any of this to happen and Tenzo breaks into the lab and saves him only to get shot and Shisui magically turns him into a mer as well and they live happily ever after :3 somehow Kakashi helps Tenzo in this btw only to reveal at the end that he's actually some kind of selkie who shed his pelt to investigate the land? Anyhow, he follows Tenzo into the water and immediately clashes (in a UST way) with Shisui's overprotective and furious big brother Obito (maybe Obito is scarred from nets/harpoons and so the merfolk are forbidden from going near the surface but Shisui loves to speed around with the dolphins and otters because he's a speed junkie and he is also stupidly curious??? Oh the ideas)
