Not So Berry: Pink Gen
This is a series where I build a home for each generation of the Not So Berry Challenge by lilsimsie. Next up is Generation Pink!
You grew up poor and are living paycheck to paycheck working in the business career just as your parents did. You long to write romance novels but are too afraid to quit your steady job to follow your dreams. You’re very practical and you know the chances of making it as a writer are slim, so you stay working at your nine to five. As an adult you finally decide to pursue your dreams. You’re a hopeless romantic, but your unflirty nature makes it nearly impossible to find love.
This Mediterranean villa is meant for a wellness-loving writer looking for a career (and location) change. 3 bedroom, 2 bath home with office, garden plot, and pool. It’s located in Tartosa for maximum romantic inspiration.
Fun fact: this is the second pink not-so-berry home I’ve made. The first one is still up on my gallery (with the same name) and is an English cottage in Hendford-on-Bagley. But when My Wedding Stories was announced, I knew I had to have our unflirty, romance novel writer live in Tartosa.
Lot Type: Residential
3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathroom
Lot Size: 30x20
Lot Price: §101,795
Find on the gallery HERE. Search for #emilyrosesims or use my EA ID @emilyrosesims

SIMS 4 WISHLIST, THOUGHTS AND WHAT NOT...
Since a new pack and what not could be arriving soon... I just have a few thoughts on what I would like to see or wish that could happen for the future...
MAPS (INSPIRED BY)
SINGAPORE
I would like to see maps/locations inspired by Singapore (one of the best places to visit, google pics to see what i mean) everything about it is traditional and modern. However, its basically (if it ever comes to the game) a San Myshuno 2.0. Think of one section is all housing (real estate is crazy expensive there), the other section is all apartments, each floor is more upgraded than the next until you reached a penthouse. Festivals play a part and are missing for the most part. I didnt know there were events that can be held in Sulani. Imagine Jazz festivals or introduce more events inspired by Indian, Malay, Chinese holidays.
ITALY OR GREECE
Aesthetically, Italy is stunning. To put more focus its islands and what not. Imagine living on a large coastal mountain island. Every house is colored and land is small so it focuses on minimal living or vacation spots and another part is more of a winery villa or mansion inspired. Since this is an Italian inspired map, I would like a Wine, cheese making or a luxury goods (shoes and bags) activity or career focused on it and maybe the astronomer or historian career can be introduced. Since its near bodies of water, beaches are included and sight seeing locations.
CHROMATICA (HEAR ME OUT)
I'm a Monster/ Gaga stan. I believe a Futuristic map is bound to happen and I don't want it to look like the one in former Sims games. But imagine a Chromatica inspired world. The fashion isnt the usual clean white or cool colored clothes but more dystopian vaporwave punk/club kid or even a modern traditional type clothing. I mean they did a Katy Perry pack back then and it was the Teenage Dream Era. This could be a time they introduce cyborg hybrids as an occult. More outlandish furniture/build items. Maps for this place would be a section of a desert area that gives a vibe of Stupid Love & 911 M/V, a city area ala Rain on Me M/V, with Sixam lighting. Who know's this could be a rabbit hole/ secret map type map?
PACKS
As of the Sims 4, I want a sports/hobbies related pack, I want my Sims to play Tennis, Volleyball or even boxing with another Sim. Making toys, remember that? Also, something that always bothers me, the wedding system. I swear to God, the guests are stupid. Only mods can make them stay still.
Also, a lot of people believe that werewolves are coming and maybe fairies. I'm ok with that but I'm on the fence on getting Vampires pack so I won't hold my breathe for Werewolves unless it has a feature/ maps that I like. Like I said prior, I'd like a Cyborg human hybrid type of occult sims. Not a robot and whatever. Anything new would be something good for me not like that Star Wars pack. Can a royalty Sim be something? idk. hehehehe.
Careers. I'd like them to bring back from careers of the past, X-TREME career, Slacker, Circus, Law, Adventurer, Counter culture, Dance, architecture, private investigator and I don't mind if some of it becomes a freelance career.
I guess that's what I've been thinking for a while. That's just some things that I like.

Historical Italian villa
Hi, my fellow simmers! ♡
Today I’m sharing with you a historical Italian villa. It's highly inspired by the 17th-century Italian villa called Villa Rosa aka palazzo L that I've found on Pinterest. Originally this villa was huge but I made it smaller since I was inspired by the front of the Villa Rosa and I wanted it to be in the center of attention.
It's built in Tartosa (The Sims 4 My wedding stories) on a 40x30 lot and it's made for a family of three and their battler. It has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.

Rome: Day 3
For Day 3, we wanted something that would be a little more chill sandwiched in between two days of 4 hour tours (Vatican on Day 1 and Colosseum on Day 2), so we decided to walk to the Pantheon and Piazza Navona which fortunately was only 15 minutes away from our apartment!
Breakfast
So, one thing to know is that Italian (and maybe European in general?) restaurants don’t really open until around noon. So if you’re a breakfast person, like me, you need to get yourself some eggs at the grocery store, or find one of the few cafes that are open! We ate around the corner from our apartment, at a cafe called Bar Frattina. There is a hotel right next to where we are staying, so a lot of out-of-towners were at the cafe as well. I had a chocolate muffin, which honestly was mostly a dessert, and my sister had a croissant, both with cappuccinos. Overall, it was pretty good for a light breakfast!
Pantheon & Piazza Navona
Tumblr media
Then we walked over to the Pantheon which is such a strangely huge building in the middle of seemingly normal streets. We were following the Google Maps directions (which reminds me to do a side note about our cell plan), and we practically just ran into it all of a sudden. I feel like Rome can basically be described like that -- pick any direction to walk in and you’ll eventually hit at least one amazing monument. I really can’t get over it, so I’m gonna keep saying it.
The building itself is nothing else but an old temple now turned church, so it’s just one (obviously massive) room. So for this, unless you really want to go in depth about everything inside, I wouldn’t recommend getting a tour guide, unless maybe it’s part of a bigger walking tour. Also, admission is free! However, since it is a sacred church now, they do ask that people try to keep quiet -- a lot of the famous sites in Rome are actually considered sacred, so it’s important to keep an eye out for signs that as for silence or restrict photography / videography out of respect. I really enjoyed the visit, though again, it was pretty quick.
Then we walked over to Piazza Navona -- if you can, visit all the piazzas that you see on the map, they are beautiful plazas usually with huge fountains and statues.
Side Note: GoogleFi
Ok, so side note. Speaking of Google Maps, my sister and I had originally been planning to buy SIM cards for our phones at the airport when we arrived in Rome. But at our layover in New York, we actually saw GoogleFi SIM cards in a vending machine! Google sells the cards for $10 each (with which you get a $10 credit on your cell plan), and you can choose whatever plan you’d like! There is an unlimited everything plan, but we figured it was overkill. My sister and I signed up for a group plan that was $17 per person for unlimited calls / texts, and $10 per gigabyte of data that you use, basically a pay as you go plan. Trust me, you definitely don’t need as much data as you think you do -- by the end of this trip, we’ll probably in total have only used about 3 GB together. And that’s with me using the maps ALL the time and obsessively playing Pokemon GO for a few of the days (gotta catch ‘em all amirite). With the $10 credit each of us got, it will probably end up being only about $30 per person! The only thing to note is that you DO need to set it up in the US before using it internationally, which I’ll admit was a stressful 30 minutes of us frantically tapping through setup before boarding our flight to Rome. But, now I have a SIM card that I can activate any time I need service overseas! Highly recommend!!! Ok side none over.
Lunch & Gelato
Tumblr media
My sister was like obsessively asking about risotto, so I found a place near Piazza Navona that had risotto on the menu for lunch. It was called Mimi e Coco, and let me tell you. I am so glad I found it, because it was honestly the best pasta I have ever had. The restaurant itself was super tiny and cozy, but also beautifully decorated and very classy! I ordered the ravioli with ricotta and spinach, and my sister (obviously) got risotto with mushrooms. I basically licked my plate clean because it was so so delicious. I honestly have nothing more to say except that we’ll probably go back another time before we leave.
After that, we slowly made our way back to the apartment, and stopped for gelato at a place called Giolitti. It seems to be a pretty popular tourist attraction, with a giant neon sign outside. It was great! I ordered chocolate and tiramisu (do you see a trend here) and my sister got chocolate and coffee. We both powered through and finished but were about to explode afterwards, but worth.
Tumblr media
Villa Borghese (Round 2)
Our afternoon walk was back to Villa Borghese to show our parents the park and also see it in the day time! (NGL it was a little sketch at night.) We walked through the whole park and got to see a few scenic areas, like the Temple of Aesculapius which was at a beautiful lake pictured below! There were also a few musicians playing live classical and pop music, which was a wonderful touch as we spent time in the park. We also noticed that there was a Globe Theatre as well, where they perform Shakespeare every week, though we unfortunately couldn’t see it since it only runs in the Summer and Fall months. It seemed like an awesome thing to do, if you are visiting from around June to October.
Tumblr media
All in all, a great Day 3!
