Who are some characters that you think should've survived the killing games and why?
//Well, here’s how I’d put it.
//For Danganronpa 1, I think Taka should have survived instead of Hiro. Despite my complaints, everyone who survived in DR1 can stay except for Hiro for all I care. Despite my individual problems with Hina, Toko and Byakuya, all of them redeemed after they became stronger characters overtime. But Taka has probably the worst emotional arc out of every character that has one, since he becomes depressed over Mondo’s death, transformes into whatever the fuck Kiyondo/Ishida was supposed to be, and the FUCKING DIED. He deserved better
//Game 2′s surviving group are MOSTLY fine, and I wouldn’t change it much. If I had to pick one character to live to the end, it’s an odd choice, but I would say Ibuki. I know that sounds like a bad idea, given that Ibuki’s personality would really break away the tension in the game’s final moments (something that Hajime, Akane, Sonia, Kazuichi and Fuyuhiko as a group play really well to, which is why I think they’re a pretty solid final group) but bare in mind that every game already has one “comedic” character make it to the end (Hiro, Akane and Himiko) and also keep in mind that Ibuki is CRIMINALLY undervalued in that game. She doesn’t do a SINGLE plot-relevant thing throughout the entire time she’s alive for, and then she dies one of the shittiest deaths that the series has put out. She’s also one of the few Danganronpa comic-relief characters who are ACTUALLY funny, and consistently at that. And I don’t really see the ending of DR2 being much different with her there, even despite all this.
//Game 3, as in V3, I would say Ryoma, which I know most people in the fanbase agree with, since a vast majority of V3 rewrite fics have Ryoma survive (ITMLFY and TPS for example) He has so much potential for a good arc, but once again suffers from the age old problem of NOT getting one because it gets cut off by his death. While I do believe the order of events of Case 2 in V3 did make sense in the grand scheme of things, that doesn’t stop me from feeling a tad let down by them. Ryoma could have been something man.
//In case it wasn’t already obvious, I hate pretty much every member of the DR3 cast save Seiko, and I think she should have gotten out in the end instead of going out the way she did. I needn’t elaborate.
//As for the Another games, for Another 1, I would love to have seen Kanata survive for basically the same reason as Ibuki and Taka. She’s easily one of the best members of that game’s cast, and dies a crappy death that kinda shouldn’t have happened. I mean, looking at that game’s third case, Kinji had already killed Kakeru, and didn’t need to murder Kanata afterwards. There was no risk of her being a witness since she was unconscious, and not only that, but her death was brutal as well. She also deserved better.
//And for Another 2, while I would say it’s my second least favourite group of survivor’s, I don’t like any of the SDRA2 characters enough to claim that one or the other should have survived. If we’re going on which character I think didn’t deserve the end that they got and had the potential to be really strong later on, then my verdict goes to Hibiki. As sad as it is to say, Hibiki is TERRIBLY written. She doesn’t contribute a single thing for the vast majority of the game, playing second fiddle to fucking Kanade throughout the entire thing, and then dies in an execution that she shouldn’t have even been part of. The idea of having twin sisters in a DR game is interesting, but it’s horrifically wasted on the Otonokoji’s, when only one of them, the vastly more terrible of the two, is the one who gets all the attention from the fans.

Big Brother: DVHS (Part 1)
As a pretty big Big Brother fan, I was hyped to see this simulator, and like DVHS ITMLFY, this is going to be in a couple parts, since it’s pretty long. This is also made with the most basic template, not any specific season, so there aren’t any twists or anything. Please lmk if you want me to use a specific season’s format if you want to see this again! Enjoy!
Week one:
The alliances are 1) Fujimoto and Saito, which is incredibly interesting to see right off the bat, 2) Ikeda and Aoyama, 3) Yoshida, Sasaki, Maeda and Hamasaki, which I also find very interesting 4) Yoshida, Sasaki and Hamasaki as girlpower I guess lol. We all know how girls alliances tend to go, but if it’s just the three, I’m interested to see how that goes.
With the final three in the Wipe Out HOH comp being Oshiro, Yoshida and Abe, Abe ends up winning the HOH and putting Camila and Yasu on the block. They don’t seem like huge targets at all- unless you consider that they both would probably have amazing social games.
Playing in Veto alongside Abe, Camila and Yasu are Ikeda (Houseguest’s Choice for Abe), Miyuki (Camila’s pick) and Maeda (Yasu’s pick). Ikeda ends up winning the BB Galaxy Veto comp, and Ikeda then decides not to use the Power of Veto. Again, I think of the social games of both Camila and Yasu, though I’ll be kinda sad if Camila is voted out first.
Random events: Fujimoto accidentally breaks an item he borrowed from Yasu; Ikeda isolates himself due to the stress of the game; and Saito invents a new game. Which seems completely unlike her but is hilarious nonetheless.
Votes to evict Yasu: Sasaki (she would NEVER), Maeda, Fujimoto, Nakamura, Ikeda, Rikimaru, Hamasaki
Votes to evict Camila: Oshiro, Yoshida, Saito, Miyuki (SHE ALSO WOULD NEVER), Aoyama (okay he would), Matsumoto
And by a vote of 7 to 6, Yasu is evicted. Which I think makes some sense, because as I said, her social game would be UNPARALLELED. If she won any comps through the game, she would be unbeatable.
Week two:
The only change to the previous alliances is that Hamasaki leaves the alliance of her, Yoshida and Sasaki.
The final three in Big Brother BBQ are Fujimoto, Hamasaki and Ikeda (quite the trio lol). Fujimoto ends up winning the HOH, and puts up Ikeda and Oshiro. I think Ikeda might’ve put himself as a target because of his Veto win and isolation, y’know?
As for Veto, there’s Saito (Fujimoto’s Houseguest’s Choice), Abe (Ikeda’s) and Matsumoto (Oshiro’s). I feel like Abe or Matsumoto would change the noms. And, completing a win streak of two Vetos, Ikeda wins Super Veto! Which he then uses on himself. As a replacement nominee, Fujimoto chooses Nakamura, who I also feel would have a strong social game.
Random events: Fujimoto has a public emotional breakdown from the pressure of the game (poor guy), Hamasaki and Miyuki have a heated argument, Abe flips Miyuki’s mattress for some unspecified reason, and Ikeda keeps isolating himself.
Votes to evict Nakamura: Camila (expected), Sasaki, Maeda, Saito, Matsumoto
Votes to evict Oshiro: Yoshida (unexpected), Abe (also unexpected), Ikeda, Rikimaru, Miyuki, Aoyama, Hamasaki
And by a vote of 7 to 5, Oshiro is evicted. I think in this case, Nakamura’s charm works for him in saving him, especially since he was a replacement nominee. I wonder if he was a failed backdoor plan? Would the simulation tell me if that was it? Anyway
Week three:
The final three of Majority Rules are the former alliance members, Yoshida, Sasaki and Hamasaki. Hamasaki wins this HOH, interesting since she’s the one no longer in that alliance of three, though she’s still in the alliance with those two and Maeda. That said, she puts up Miyuki and Ikeda. Miyuki makes sense, since there was that argument last week, and Ikeda likely for the same reasons as last week. Though I guess I feel bad for him being on the block two weeks in a row.
Veto is played by those three in addition to Rikimaru (Hamasaki’s), Sasaki (Miyuki’s) and Aoyama (Ikeda). Ikeda keeps having good picks, since he and Aoyama are aligned. And in Keeping Up with the Jonses, Aoyama wins the PoV and, unsurprisingly, uses it on Ikeda. Hamasaki then puts Abe up as his replacement.
Random events: Fujimoto accidentally makes an inappropriate comment in conversation (jeez he can’t catch a break), Yoshida finds Miyuki creepy and tells everyone else, Matsumoto and Nakamura bond, and Rikimaru attempts to blame and call out Miyuki for certain actions in the house and how she deserves to leave. Wow, this is feeling a lot like early this season /hj but also seems like something Rikimaru would do tbh.
Votes to evict Miyuki: Yoshida, Sasaki, Nakamura, Saito, Ikeda, Rikimaru, Aoyama
Votes to evict Abe: Camila (yeah keep ur gf), Maeda, Fujimoto, Matsumoto
And by a vote of 7 to 4, this game really likes the number 7, Miyuki is evicted and my heart is broken. I think maybe her argument with Hamasaki kicked this off, plus Rikimaru and Yoshida piling on in addition to Miyuki being unable to win the PoV. Sorry ;-;
Week four:
In the Steel Cage Match HOH comp, Ikeda, Abe and Sasaki are the final three, with Ikeda taking the win. Honestly, with him isolating himself and with his PoV wins, I’m interested to see how this goes for him after this week. He puts up Fujimoto and Hamasaki, which makes a ton of sense given the last two weeks.
In the Veto, playing are Aoyama (Ikeda’s Houseguest’s Choice), Camila (Hamasaki’s) and Matsumoto (Fujimoto’s). And in High and Dry, Hamasaki wins the PoV and obviously uses the PoV on herself. As a replacement, Ikeda puts up Nakamura. I guess the guy’s a popular backdoor attempt? Or something.
Random events: Hamasaki flips Abe’s mattress, again for unspecified reasons, and Yoshida makes an effort to improve relationships in the house even though she probably destroyed a few last week.
Votes to evict Nakamura: Yoshida, Abe (that tracks), Aoyama, Matsumoto, Hamasaki
Votes to evict Fujimoto: Camila (unexpected lol), Sasaki, Maeda, Saito, Rikimaru
This is a vote of 5 to 5, with Ikeda voting to evict Fujimoto. No surprise there; it’s likely revenge for Fujimoto putting him up week two.
Week five:
Since Fujimoto was evicted, the first alliance (him and Saito) is now no more.
The final three in Houseguest Soup are Yoshida, Abe and Sasaki, with Yoshida winning this one. Which, reading the description, seems to check out. She decides to put up Ikeda and Camila, both of which seem to check out as well.
For PoV, Saito (Yoshida’s), Maeda (Ikeda’s) and Hamasaki (Camila’s Houseguest’s Choice) play in OTEV the Absent-Minded Alien and Yoshida ends up winning. Fittingly, she doesn’t use the veto.
Random events: y’know what Rikimaru did to Miyuki two weeks ago? Yeah, Maeda does that to Ikeda.
Votes to evict Ikeda: Sasaki, Maeda, Saito, Hamasaki
Votes to evict Camila: Abe (oof lol), Nakamura, Rikimaru, Aoyama, Matsumoto
And by a vote of 5 to 4, Camila is evicted. Jeez she’s had a rough last couple of weeks and I think this means she didn’t make it to jury, unfortunately. But she wasn’t very strong with comps (at all), and she probably didn’t have too strong of a social game, and she wasn’t in alliances either.
Part two coming soon!
