Small fgo rant please look away
I have never hated a fictional character more than I do Oberon at this moment.
Tumblr media
Why? He came home right?
WRONG!! I dragged him home out of pure spite - that's the 330 pity right there, him appearing at the very last slot is just salt in the wound.
Never in my entire life did I think I'd EVER do an fgo pity - 330 sounded like a ridiculous amount to save up but turns out that was exactly how much untapped resources my account had (I like to leave free quests and milestone rewards alone as emergency funds and that's exactly what happened here)
This reminds me why I left fgo 2.5 years ago, I want to quit again already. Only reason I bothered getting Oberon (and Koyanskaya) was to enable my favorite, Ereshkigal, my wife, love of my life, to be viable again in speedier buster comps. I would do anything for her and that's what I'll chalk this travesty to. My saving grace is the fact I haven't spent a dime on this game at least.
Seriously, fuck Oberon.

Author’s Notes: Possibly OOC behaviour? I’ve done my best to stick by Canon as much as I can, but given I’m a newer player, I don’t know the relationship between Kafka and Silver Wolf or the characters individually as well I’d like to. Though I did do my best, please be aware that I may have taken some creative liberties in their characterisation and inner thoughts regarding each other. Also I am aware that this may just be 5.5k words of nonsensical BS but I haven’t written proper fanfiction in a hot minute so take it with a grain of salt. Not so much of a reader/canon thing and more like a reader AND canon thing currently. Perhaps that will change in future works, who’s to say? Oh yeah this is a SAGAU.
Warnings: Canonical In-game violence, references and descriptions of dissociation via player-induced body possession, references to drug use (one sentence), yandere tones if you squint really hard (shes a slowburner ya’ll), and a single swear word :3
Tumblr media
Beyond the mind, within your body.
Description: Unaware that your presence has been made apparent to the eccentric duo during your first run through of Honkai Star Rail, you happily indulge yourself in the immersive (tutorial) world before your eyes. Kafka and Silver Wolf attempt to adjust to the feeling it brings, which leaves their minds constantly switching between distrust and euphoria, and all the things in between.
Word Count: 5.5k
Hoyoverse’s newest game hadn’t seemed much to your liking when you’d first heard the announcement. For one thing, you weren’t particularly pleased with the constant stream of ‘HONKAI STAR RAIL - PLAY NOW’ interrupting your YouTube doom-scrolling every other ad; Not to mention, you weren’t very keen on the gacha aspect.
Within your small circle of friends, you’d been known to cave easily when attractive anime characters were involved and you weren’t planning on another hyperfiction to solidify your position as the group’s resident simp. That being said, with such a title swaying above your head like a shiny silver dagger, you’d held a metaphorical death grip on your wallet, solemnly swearing that you’d keep your distance from the game for as long you were able.
Ultimately that so-called iron will of yours didn’t last so much as a year, as just seven months after its release a simple character trailer was enough to break your steadfast resilience. Well, it wasn’t ‘simple’, if you were being honest with yourself- It was a brilliantly unique masterpiece, tailored to the exact essence and spirit of his character. You were sure Argenti wouldn’t be released for a good while, so you decided to pick up the game and grind what you could before his arrival.
That was your plan at least. Your friend had warned you a few months prior (Though admittedly, you hadn’t been paying much attention at the time.) that the download and installation would take an exhaustingly long time. Well, it was better than Genshin Impact had been- but still, you were getting bored and subsequently decided to fetch yourself something to drink in the meantime.
With your back turned to the loading screen, you waltzed out of your bedroom with little care in the world- oblivious to the ominous glowing cracks slowly sprawling across the screen of your device.
As you returned a few moments later, you found that it had finally finished installing! You’d certainly waited long enough. Sure, it wasn’t as soul-sucking as Genshin had been but your patience wasn't that of a saint’s either. With a renewed sense of anticipation, you hit start and breezed through the usual terms and conditions without reading anything and let out a sigh at the beautiful change in scenery.
It perhaps wasn't the smartest idea to skip it completely- but you had spent so long waiting already that you weren’t going to bother wasting time reading a document filled with dolled-up words you could barely pronounce.
✄————————————————
Herta’s Space Station’s defences hadn't been particularly difficult to slip past surprisingly, though Kafka didn’t recall any mention of difficulty regarding entry in Elio’s script, so she supposed the lack of security wasn’t of any particular importance.
Despite the calm confidence that usually accompanied her on these little operations, Kafka couldn’t shake the strange feeling of being watched. It wasn’t the usual sort of lingering gaze or sharpened stare, but a vague pulsating heartbeat that faded in and out, as though blinking through blurry vision.
Needless to say, she kept her guard up. Playing none the wiser and bowing mid-air to the tempo of a rather graceful tune. She forced her shoulders to relax and gently swayed her body, controlling her every little move with practised ease- even as that strange pulsating presence slowly sped up and stroked the fires of an oncoming headache- as the elevator descended to the station’s ‘ground’ floor.
(You remained none the wiser to her sudden awareness, the rapidly changing scenes flashing past your eyes far too quickly to pick up on a single, brief second of stillness in her body.)
A sudden explosion reverberates across the station's cold, metallic body and brings Kafka’s impromptu air-violin session to a screeching halt. Simultaneously, that presence settles over her body like a thick blanket of fog. That ‘gaze’ she had felt becoming so vivid she could feel its weight pressing down on her tongue.
She has little time to process the feeling before the usual blueish glow of Silver Wolf’s communications screen flickers into existence before her very eyes.
“... Seems I came at a bad time.”
“No, No – I think you couldn’t’ve timed it better. Twenty-three-fourty-seven-fifteen system time. Very punctual, Kafka.” Silver Wolf almost sounds impressed, though Kafka suspects she’s only trying to butter her up so she’ll let the girl go off task again. Perhaps, under different circumstances, she would have been kind enough to allow it, but with the nature of their current mission and this inexplicable presence, Kafka doesn't find herself in a very generous mood.
Kafka merely hums in response and ignores the empty praise.
“Elio always tells the exact future. So What’s with the explosion just now? Was that part of his script?” Silver Wolf picks up on her cue to focus without any fuss.
“Twenty-three-four-four-fifty-nine system time: The pulses from the explosion cause a massive breakdown from the master control system.”
Pulses. Perhaps it’s linked to the feeling curling itself around her senses?
“You did that?” Kafka doubts that Silver Wolf would waste effort on something so minor.
“No, the antimatter legion did it. They completely invaded the space station two system hours ago.” She whistles in response and glances down the glass panelling to the approaching ground floor. A small group… annoying, but manageable.
“Alright, so do we need to fight the legion?”
“Dunno, Elio didn’t say anything about it, so it doesn’t matter.” Hmm. Silver Wolf made a good point.
“Got it. So from now on, I'll be in charge of this operation.” She feels that tingle of a smirk reach the corner of her mouth, and smiles a little wider in anticipation.
“Copy. Can you let me have some fun this time? Our last few operations turned out to be pretty dull.” Kafka lets out a playful hum as she ponders over her colleague’s request with faux consideration. She can practically hear Silver Wolf’s stifled groan in the second of silence that passes.
“...Sorry~ I’m afraid there’s not much I can do for you- our task this time is just to ‘place’ the target properly.”
Her choice of words is careful, though not enough to cause any alert in potential eavesdroppers. The feeling still hasn’t left.
“But if you wanna go look for some fun yourself, I won’t stop you.”
“I mean… after all…” she chuckles lightly as the blue hologram blips out of her vision, and reaches for the holsters tucked into her lower back. “After all…” Kafka readjusts her footing just in time to watch the elevator’s doors slide open, the sound of metal dragging against metal pinching at her ears.
“Elio didn’t put it in the script… Why would it matter?”
Just as the impact from her gunshots flitters across her skin, Kafka feels her mind being pulled back to the edge of her skull.
The group of voidrangers in front of her feel distant and smudged, the sockets of her eyes creating a blurred tunnel of vision that refuse adjust no matter how much she tries to blink it away. Their dark forms bleed into black speckles that crowd her already limited vision until she’s staring directly into the singed edges of the universe.
Kafka’s body… is no longer hers to command.
✄————————————————
She returns to her mind with startling swiftness. Her memories of the brief battle suddenly bubbling up as though pushing themselves through a thick soup of aether. She feels disconnected from the memory but can at least recall that she’d lost control of her body before blacking out.
She attempts to think back on that burnt, golden memory but is stopped by a sudden wave of nausea. She opts to set that aside for another time and refocus on the operation. Elio had not mentioned this happening anywhere in the script- so either this had no significance or…
Still, those Voidrangers hadn’t proved to be much trouble- in fact, they’d been less of an annoyance than she had prepared for. Either she’d been far more ruthless than intended or the antimatter legion had lost its touch.
“When did the anti-matter legion become so weak?” She asks out loud.
“I could only attract this much. Did you really want the entire legion to come here?” Silver Wolf speaks in feigned annoyance, her usual behaviour.
She hadn’t even realised. Kafka chooses not to mention anything for the moment, instead opting to subtly gauge the extent of control this presence… or rather... Entity, seems to have over her.
“This lot won’t be able to slow down the Astral Express crew.” Silver Wolf sighs in response on the other end of the device.
“Relax, a doomsday beast is also here.”
As she approaches one of the station’s automatic doors, Kafka feels it slip back into her body as if wearing her like a coat. Its influence feels… less heavy than it previously had been a few moments ago.  At the very least she remains conscious this time; A strange lightness in her feet as she feels herself stealth towards a lone voidranger lounging about the area.
Her movements come to her now like instinct, striking down enemies with admittedly far more efficiency than she was naturally capable of. If it weren’t for her body being strung along like a puppet against her will, she’d almost be grateful for the power and resiliency it granted her.
Kafka has barely had her fill before a euphoric sense of power seems to swell up all at once; Killer instinct pumping through her veins like a well-oiled machine.
Ahh. Now this… this particular feeling wasn’t so bad.
Truthfully she’d liked to have toyed with this one a bit longer, but she knew all too well that it wouldn't manage to survive her next attack. She chatters to no one in particular, the ecstasy in her mind clouding whatever decorum she would have usually displayed.
“Good times never last… time to say bye.”
“Ah- She’s so cool…”
Kafka tenses up at the stranger’s voice, just as the swirling dark mass in front of her collapses into itself.
She sheathes her sword and adjusts her gloves, ignoring the voidranger approaching her from behind. Just before its darkened claws reach her, Silver Wolf’s ability activates no more than a hands-width from her shoulder blades.
“Cleaning up other people’s mess isn’t in my job description… y’know Kafka?” Silver Wolf huffs out, but her voice has no real bite in it. Was it her? She wasn’t usually one to doubt herself, but that fog of exhilaration certainly could have played with her mind.
“Yeah, yeah. Where did you send it Silver Wolf?”
Kafka turns in time to hear the gooey pop of the silver-haired girl’s bubblegum as she hops to her feet. She isn’t sure if it's Strawberry or Grape, but the artificial sweetness and scent of no-fruit-in-particular is so strong it actually grounds her mind for a moment.
She sighs for no real reason, but it brings her relief regardless.
Oh.
She hadn’t realised how bad her headache was.
“Some random Co-ordinates, not important.” She avoids Kafka’s gaze for a reason she couldn’t care to name before taking on an adorably defiant stance, her hands placed at her hips as though it would help her short stature in any way.
“You care about where that voidranger ended up?” She doesn’t. But she’d rather think about that than, well… She didn’t know what to call it at this point. But it was distracting and she needed to focus on literally anything else for the sake of what sanity she had left.
Though some could argue that she wasn’t sane at all- which was only half true because most people’s definition of sanity varied greatly from her own.
Oh, Silver Wolf was still blinking up at her expectantly.
“Of course not- I’m just amazed at this fancy technique of yours, as usual.” she smiles down at her colleague, who only rolls her eyes in response. To the girl’s credit, she’d been dealing with Kafka’s empty flattery for quite a long time.
“Just a little trick of tampering with the data of reality, I wouldn't call it fancy.” Kafka smiles a little wider, following behind as Silver Wolf strolls down the hallway. Her tells were always so obvious.
“What were you looking at just now? Let me see.” Silver Wolf huffs a bit as she settles herself onto a desk and faces her.
“Herta’s toys,” she begins in an almost mocking tone
“A catalogue featuring the space station’s collection of rare items.” Her fingers briefly tug on the white fluff of her jacket as she speaks “They’ve got quite a looot of interesting gadgets~”
Kafka’s previous interest (however feigned it may have been) dies down a little at the prospect of these ‘gadgets’ but nonetheless she indulges Silver Wolf’s unspoken desire to share what information she’d dug up.
“Like what?”
“There’s this gun, it can rate any creature within its crosshair as a score from 0 to 100.”
“... Doesn't sound very interesting.” Her brows pinch together and her mouth stretches into a thin line of clear disappointment. Not one to be disheartened so easily, Silver Wolf continues on
“Aren’t you curious how much you would score? I kinda wanna know mine.”
So this is what she’d been hinting at since earlier. Kafka crosses her arms and takes on the tone of an exasperated mother having finally given up after being nagged at for far, far longer than the reality of it.
“Fine. I guess we can swing by and play with it, if it’s not too far. What’s our destination?” She redirects Silver Wolf’s distractable attention onto their current objective with practised ease.
Hmm.
She feels a little cold for some reason… and those watchful eyes haven't left during the entirety of their conversation. Kafka’s guard raises a little further than before.
Her colleague’s eyes flit down to a small blue hologram, her fingers swiping past various screens until arriving at what Kafka could only presume was a list of directions given to her by Elio.
“Go down the corridor, behind the door… ooon the left. There’s a room where some kind of rare item is stored.”
Kafka feels the entity strongly now, she stares just beyond Silver Wolf’s shoulders where it feels most concentrated. The feeling she is met with is a dense smouldering hotness. It’s like melting iron dripping down her throat and burning it in the process. It feels almost itchy.
She redirects her gaze back to Silver Wolf far quicker than she’d intended to and resists the urge to scratch at her throat.
“So that’s where the Stellaron is?” Kafka is somewhat relieved when the feeling seems to simmer down. She once again debates speaking on the sensation during the slightest lull in their conversation but when Silverwolf turns her head back to face her, she finds the girl’s gaze to be much sharper than before.
“That's where we can find out where the Stellaron is.”
Kafka immediately knows that Silverwolf has finally caught on to this feeling and says nothing as she readies herself for the next half of their mission. Almost instantly, she feels the presence shift and roll over her shoulders, like a cat stretching out its limbs.
It's languid and smooth and she feels her tense- She had been tense this whole time?- muscles slowly relax until she finally feels that usual calm focus she’s so intimately familiar with. She hadn’t realised the extent of how cold she’d felt when it had stepped- strange, it feels like a person?-  away.
Kafka decides that her feelings towards this... Being- She isn’t totally sure if it feels sapient, but it certainly has some form of will… That much she can tell- are mixed, to say the least. She wonders one more why Elio hadn’t mentioned anything about something so foreign and strange but sets the thought aside and refocuses on the task at hand.
She locks eyes with Silverwolf briefly, and just as she thought, Silverwolf is most definitely aware of it at this point.
“The central area of the space station is up ahead. There’ll be loads of Legion Void rangers there.” Silver Wolf hops to her feet and saunters toward the door’s control panel. A bit too casual to be natural, but it doesn't cause the feeling to stir, so she says nothing.
“Okay.” Kafka breathes out.
Then that feeling of puppeteering seems to stitch itself into her mind once more, albeit in a much more faded sense- it feels more like muscle memory than it does being pulled from her own body. She allows it to pull her along and lead her toward whatever it wants. As her fingers glide over the room’s control panels and her heels click against the cold steel of the station, she feels that fog of exhilaration settle over her again- that almost euphoric surge of strength from earlier suddenly vivid and fresh in her mind.
Silverwolf seems to feel the building strength in her own body too, as she quickens her pace when they turn the corner to find themselves at the back of a particularly strong-looking voidranger. She huffs out in bemusement and half-heartedly mutters out some encouragement to her colleague.
“May as well kill them all.”
Not needing much more encouragement than that, Silverwolf leaps forward with as much grace as her short form can allow her and drags her digitally enhanced blade across the muscles and sinew of its chest. She leaps back beside Kafka as it staggers on its feet and tries to regain its footing. Kafka’s arm pulls itself up, gun in hand, and fires out a cascade of bullets that each burrow and pierce into its flesh.
“This… seems a lot easier than it should be.” Silverwolf comments under her breath quietly.
“Well, let’s count our blessings–” Kafka is cut off as her arm is singed by the blast of the voidranger’s fire canon.
“Tch. Didn’t hurt.”
Silverwolf pulls out her holographic system at such speed that Kafka feels the static waft across her skin.
“Hmph, still. This combat needs optimising.” Just as the creature aims its weapon once more, it’s hit with a blast pulled from the loosened strands of reality itself.
“At that speed? Too slow!”
Kafka almost feels sorry for it, as she watches its body disintegrate while collapsing into itself.
Unfortunately, the girls are not left with time to bask in their victory- Silver Wolf lets out a small yelp- the entity has left its place on Kafka’s shoulders and draped itself over her companion it  would seem. Her short colleague adjusts to the sensation of its guiding hand far better than she had, if her losing conscious was anything to go by.
Kafka follows behind silently, eyes trained intently on the girl in front of her for any indication of danger.
“Hold it. Someone.. Or something is up ahead.” she warns quietly, arm extended out to her side like a makeshift barrier. They both come to a sudden halt as the entity violently rips itself from their bodies and settles just beyond their skin.
Goosebumps this time.
The cold seems to get worse and worse each time it separates from them… well, her. Silver Wolf grits her teeth. Kafka notes the tiny pearl of sweat rolling down the side of her face. Still a shock to the system then.
“Looks like we’re the ones getting ambushed.”
“...But they’re the ones getting besieged.”
✄————————————————
The game has felt pretty cool so far, and you quite like this Kafka woman. You don’t recall her being part of the main cast your friend had rambled about however many months ago it was, but you hoped you’d get to see a lot more of her.
Her design was really nice- though strangely familiar?- and her voice was pretty too! Silver Wolf was alright, but she hadn’t really caught your interest so far, so you werent sure what to make of her yet.
They did seem to be close though, but less like friends and more like tired workmates who’d been stuck in the same dead end job for a decade- that is to say, it definitely felt like they were used to dealing with each other’s nonsense.
Were they a ship? You could see it. Ah, another battle, sweet!
The combat system Star Rail used wasnt particularly innovative or anything, but it’s playstyle was strangely addictive- especially the Ult animations! Kafka’s especially had you nearly squealing with how badass it was. Did the MC have a cool one too? You could hardly wait to see.
✄————————————————
The mood is light despite the circumstances, they both feel a sense of safety and confidence while the presence pulls them along, as though leading them in a dance. The Voidranger’s movements stand out like a pindrop in an empty room. Predictable, and delectably so.
Silver Wolf barks out a short, quick laugh- a taunting thing that aggravates the musclehead stomping around in front of her- before decapitating the creature in a single, swift move.
“You took the bait, just like that?” Her jubilance is cut short by an attack from her blindspot, it isnt fatal- hell it barely counts as a battle wound- but its enough to flip her mood in the opposite direction. “Tch.”
Kafka laughs lightly at her, amused with her momentary lapse in spacial awareness. Silver Wolf scoffs and scowls lightly at her. Really, like she hadn’t gotten hit before?
Just as she opens her mouth to hurl a barely-an-insult-but-im-still-annoyed-with-you comment towards the magenta haired woman next to her, Kafka’s aura shifts somewhat. Time seems to slow down for a second as Silver Wolf watches the woman’s pupils dilate in slow motion.
Had she appeared like this? When that wave of energy had swelled within her?
She receives no answer to her unvoiced question, and instead hears Kafka’s voice ring through out her ears.
“That breathing sensation. Remember it.” Silver Wolf gulps in a breath of blood-scented air and breathes out a sickly, golden-sweet taste. As Kafka’s bullets rain down upon the bodies of their would-be-ambushers she can't help but feel pure ecstasy in the moment. Truly…if this was a drug she’d be hooked like a fish to water.
Even just being near it is enough to cloud her mind.
“Alright, now that that’s over with…” Silver Wolf’s body relaxes significantly as Kafka speaks, the strength of whatever had possessed them slowing dripping out from their bodies like tree sap. She feels like she just got a massage.
“I could get used to that.” She isn’t sure who she’s talking to, but it feels appropriate to voice. Kafka ignores her and spins her around to face the door, and Silver Wolf seems to go into auto pilot as she unlocks the control panel blocking their path, stepping lightly as her taller colleague gently pushes her forward without a word.
The monitoring room is completley empty. Nothing but the quiet beeping of a few monitors and the rustling of swaying leaves, courtesy of the air conditioning unit humming softly above them.
“Huh. not a single soul here. Impressive evacuation work. Did herta organise it herself?” Kafka seems mildly impressed- and entirely unaffected by the sensation Silver Wolf is still trying to shake from her skin.
“According to the access history, she hasnt logged in her for over six months. The evacuation was directed by the acting lead researcher - a girl named Asta.”
“Doesn’t ring a bell. Oh, right. Elio said we wouldn’t run into herta. It seems she really isnt here.” Though something else definitely was, but Silver Wolf supposed they weren’t going to be making any conversation on that topic.
She sighs, and scrolls through her holograms nonchalantly.
“Elio’s Script doesnt include any info about the location of the stellaron. Which means in the future he foresees…”
“... we would find the stellaron in a non-physical way?” Kafka crosses her arms, easily having picked up on her train of thought and already dipping her metaphorical toes into several different plans of action. She was always efficient like that. Silver Wolf strolls over to the water cooler and pours herself a cold cup. She gestures to Kafka who only shakes her head in response.
“This space station is packed with extraordinary objects, I wouldnt be surprised if theres one that can make it happen.” She takes a long sip, the cooling sensation bringing relief to her sweltering body. The combat efficiency was nice, but she was left feeling like an overheating graphics disk everytime it took control of her. She idles on a page in her hologram briefly before continuing on her scroll-fest.
“Hiding something extraordinary with something extraordinary… this is pretty Herta. I assume you know what to do? I mean, You’ve been reading that cataogue for a while?” Ah. Perseptive as ever, Kafka never changes. She ignores the heat building in her ears at the prospect of being caught slacking-off, and bins the styrofoam cup as she turns to the older woman.
“Hmph. I’ve got all the clues we need. The only piece missing is a simple trick- maybe this entity thats been stringing us along could lend a hand? After all, it doesnt have a physical form.”
(You didn’t expect them to involve the player like this! What an awesome storytelling device, and it would hopefully grant a lot more player agency too! Hoyoverse had truly out done themselves this time. Feeling a surge of excitement at being learning you’ll be able to lend a helping hand ‘directly’, you decide that Silver Wolf is also really cool.)
Kafka says nothing in response, only staring down at Silver Wolf in consideration.
“Why dont we have it help us investigate the terminals around here, that item we’re looking for may be inside.” The magenta haired woman only sighs, internally cursing the girl’s lack of caution. Though… she couldnt deny that it had only been helping them so far.
“Alright, lets give it the spotlight.”
“Oh god, I hope I don’t fuck this up…” Kafka stills. The same voice from before. So it can speak? She tucks the information away in her mind for later.
She watches it guide her along the messily arranged desks and flickering monitors. Stopping at a memory storage cart- which is, of course, missing its memory. Not useful for her current objective, but it at least told her that whatever it was could see the same things she could.
“...I cant see the memory storage for this terminal.” Her body shifts slightly.
“This is the monitoring room, the must have deleted the records and made a run for it. Classic.” Silver Wolf is still scrolling through the holographic catalogue, idling against a desk in the middle of the room. She doesn’t look up, even as Kafka is strung along past her towards a monitor on the other side of the room.
“You don’t seem to be very affected by it? Its control over you, I mean.”
“And you? You seemed a little weary earlier.”
“I wouldn’t say that. It’s just new, thats all.”
Kafka’s hand reaches out to flick through various active surveillance cameras, interesting but ultimately fruitless.
“Hmmm… I can see the whole space station on the surveillance screen. But not the Stellaron.” Silver Wolf scoffs indignantly behind her, she almost sounds offended.
“Even if you could it’d be a trap. Herta doesn’t display her collections.” She turns to her hologram once more.
“This thing isnt very good with investigating, is it?”
Kafka expects some form of insulted rage to squeak in her mind’s ear, but she hears nothing. Though faintly she imagines a rather adorable ‘Hey! I’m trying my best!’ echoing in her skull.
Kafka staves off the sudden urge to get defensive in response and clamps her mouth shut.
Silver Wolf sighs at her lack of response and shifts onto her feet.
“Make your way over here then. There’s no point in trying to search like this.”
“So? Got a master plan? I’m all ears.”
Kafka’s tone takes on a slightly irritated edge, for a reason she herself doesn’t quite understand. If Silver Wolf picked up on it, she chooses not to say anything and instead gestures to the warping static of the holographic screens lining the walls of the office.
“Its a matter of hacking the surveillance system directly.” She says matter-of-factly, smirking playfully as her iconic vandalism plasters itself onto every screen in sight.
“Aha, I see. Herta’s collections aren’t in the system so anything unaffected should be our target.”
Their heads are guided to turn and face the back of a lone monitor by the main desk. Ah. that one then. As they both stroll over to investigate, Kafka feels a strange sense of pride bubble in the back of her mind. Not for Silver Wolf’s accomplishment- that much would be expected from the shorter girl- but for the entity curling along the edge of her mind. What exactly she was supposed to be proud of she couldnt tell, but the feeling was pleasant regardless.
Silver Wolf slips into a chair and slides forward to the desk, cracking her knuckles and wiggling her fingers as she readies herself for some data mining.
“Crude, simple, but effective. Look, found it.” The computer’s cursor circles a line of code tauntingly. Kafka doesn’t understand what any of the values mean.
“Item number two-eleven, ‘Blind Spot’ : a simple light-deflecting field. It allows an object in its field to pass unnoticed, but if a different item ceases to be obvious, the object gets revealed.”
She isn’t sure which set of numbers.. Or letters? That item is supposed be, but it does seem like a very… uncomplicated form of security for someone like Herta.
“So, Herta the genius… hides her collection with something as simple as this?”
“the simplest method is the hardest to spot, isnt that our motto?”
“Huh? How is that simple?” Kafka nearly chokes on her saliva while trying to hold back a bark of laughter and wonders why she’d kept her guard up for this thing. She follows Silver Wolf towards the glitching hole in the wall and sighs bemusedly.
“The data suggests its just an ordinary hologram. But it has an added layer… “ Silver Wolf eyes the frayed edges of the hologram cautiously, despite the confidence in her voice.
“Lets take a look. Dont worry, this place wont be our grave.” The girl only puffs her cheeks and steps forward, ignoring Kafka’s words of comfort completely. Well, she’d expected that much at least.
As she follows behind, her vision melts into a stark change of scenery.
The bright, ethereal glow of the Stellaron coating the walls of the closed off room in a golden-blue light. A strange combination, but one that was all too familiar; the everchanging strands of reality warping and stretching around itself, as the Stellaron sat patiently- sealed away- in the center of the room. Such an otherworldly treasure was exactly what all Stellaron hunters across the universe strove for. Though admittedly it was a mere front for their true purpose, a fact that Kafka was intimately aware of.
Their true goal would see this stellaron- sealed away, courtesy of Herta- to another use. Once said seal was removed by Silver Wolf, all Kafka would need to do was take hold of it and place it inside that vessel.
It had been laying in wait for this exact occasion…Kafka smiles fondly at the memory of it. Silver Wolf makes a small noise of surprise, catching her attention. She steps over towards the girl and the control panel, asking a question without speaking.
“It has its own security system… I guess even for herta, a Stellaron is no ordinary rarity.” Silver Wolf sounds genuinely surprised at this fact, though Kafka feels this was a rather likely outcome.
“Can you get it?”
“Of course, even the genius Herta cant compete with me when it comes to hacking.”
“Good. Then I’ll also count on you for the preparation of the receptacle.” Not to mention, she was quite sure this being wouldn’t be able to provide much help if Silver Wolf couldn’t figure it out herself. Speak of the devil, she feels the entity waft away like smoke in the wind and settle in the air around them as she lifts the Stellaron from its prison. She turns to her Silver haired companion and unspoken words flicker between their eyes.
This is Kafka’s decision.
Or perhaps it isn’t, she corrects herself over the distant sound of Silver Wolf’s voice.
When it enters her body, it no longer feels like being puppeteered or controlled.
She recalls that first feeling of possession, and the bleeding darkness making way for glowing golden edges of a burnt milky way. Her mind is dipped like an apple into the thick syruppy taste of synethesia. The amber eyes of the vessel- piercing into her soul and leaving her tongue sizzling in an almost addictive sort of pain- briefly flash open before collapsing to the floor in Kafka’s arms.
The Stellaron has found its place. And something else entirely has made its home there too.
(What an amazing tutorial and intro! You get the feeling you’ll be playing this game for a very long while!)

hi, lately I have been thinking how long MLQC is gonna be on air, like, will I feel empty if suddenly my time, money and effort goes into nothing? makes me feels like I'm in nonstop running. what are your thoughts about it, the game will still last some years?
hello! you and i both know i don’t have an absolute/ definite answer to your question haha, so whatever i say in response, please do take it with a grain of salt :>
firstly, the answer will vary depending on which server you’re playing on. regarding the CN i.e., the og server, looking at all the events that are already on the calendar, it’s safe to say lovepro will definitely keep updating for a long time. even if papergames decides to end the main story at some point, they can still continue with the dating verse content, given that there’s been more than enough elements and foundations put in place in the past six years + paper has the money to keep the game running for as long as there’s demand in their market (just look at their crazy marketing for Love and Deepspace, the game’s not even been out for a month yet LOL). and the demand for lovepro will surely run for a couple more years down the road. after all, it’s no small feat being in the market for 6+ years and still having a secured spot in the CN big 4 otome games despite all the shiny new contenders that are constantly being released.
as for the global server aka MLQC, i won’t sugar-coat things. and honestly, the continuous revenue drop does worry me sometimes (coming from someone who logs into her global account only during events due to completionist complex lmao). it’s absolutely crazy to think how the global server lost its players almost overnight due to that fiasco. it’s really a shame, though, b/c despite as much grudge as i have against Elex, i must admit they seem to be trying pretty hard recently and unfortunately the efforts do go unnoticed. also that’s why i encourage people to spend on the game within their comfort limit, however little it may be.
and as for if you’d feel empty if it all suddenly goes into nothing — of course, i can’t tell you how to feel/ react. as for my personal feelings on the matter, while i do plan out my spending habits since i’m still a student and i’m not gonna gacha all my hard-earned money away LOL, but i don’t consider spending (or investing time for that matter) on something that’s made me happy or something i enjoyed a waste. think of it as something similar to buying movie tickets (which only have one time usage) or guilty midnight snack takeouts (a spur of the moment thing) – as long as you know your limits and have made peace with yourself, it’s easier to have the load off of your mind haha~ (*´∀`*)💕

One More Night:
Tumblr media
Note: one shot is also available on Wattpad under my account Kairadiaries for those who prefer it.
Warning: violence / character death / blood / gun use / bullet wounds / language
Pair: javi x f!character
Summary: you're hired for a job at the embassy with Javi, but make one life threatening mistake.
••••
"I think..I think he's dead."
"You think?" Javier scowled with a tilted head and furrowed brows.
You made a massive fuck up.
You were supposed to interview the guy. Gacha, you think was his name, use your trust worthy interview voice with a pen and paper copying everything down. Keep it low key, beat around the bush and read from the card of questions the ambassador approved. But no. No. You knew you blew it once the man perked up in his seat. You asked your own unapproved question, must have been a little too specific, considering the man threw himself from the balcony, punching a dent into the hood of Javier's truck.
You observed the body in silence, unsure of what to say to Javier. You only shy away from him and his intimidating demeanor. You'd never get used to it that's for sure. Though, right now what you're worried about was the ambassador. Javier had stuck his neck out for you and argued with the woman to give this opportunity to you. You were a newly surfaced interviewer, unseen and unknown. He'd insisted on using you and it was a foolproof plan until you blew it.
"We are so fucked." Javier raised his voice, rolling the disfigured body on its back. The sound of broken glass made your face scrunch up as tears threatened to fall.
"We're going to have to call for back up, and inform the ambassador."
"What – what will she do?" Jav couldn't tear his eyes from the body and it's disturbing angle.
"Who knows, y/n. We'll be in the doghouse that's for fucking sure. All I asked was for you to follow the questions, the approved questions." That's when he ripped his eyes from the body, glaring at you.
"I – I..I'm sorry." You whispered as your cheeks began to salt with tears. He only shook his head, instructing you to divert the crowd of civilians that amassed on the sidewalk, while he made a few phone calls.
The heat on its own weighed you down, though you found it strenuous to breathe from the massive blame pressing against your shoulders.
____
"Does someone want to tell me what the fuck happened?" You had almost jumped. The walls rattled from her anger. Javi hadn't looked at you once since you both returned. He sat beside you, playing with the flawed fabric of his tie. Forgiveness wouldn't be in the cards for you if he lost his job.
"Well?" She urged.
"I-I just wanted to do what was asked. I never meant for this to happen. I'm sorry."
"We run this Embassy on a tight leash, y/n. We are being scrutinized, not only by Escobar, but the entire country itself. Our missteps affect us all, and many are interested to see just how far we'll go to get to the other side of this case and today will reflect incredibly poorly on us. Gacha? Off fucking limits in the cartel. In any other circumstance this would be a break through, but right now? Not. Fucking. Good. For any of us. Through the public eye this will be an onslaught or organized trickery on an innocent man."
The ambassador takes a seat, fingers massaging the exhaustion in her eyes. " Y/n what were you thinking?"
Your cheeks are feverish, "I don't know." You admit. You intend to speak out more, but your tongue is frozen, and Javi chimes in. "So what do we do, what's the plan here?"
"We do nothing, agent. We leave it in the hands of the narcos. As far as the public is concerned, the man was indeed innocent, with no ties to the cartel. Just a rich investor. If Escobar makes a move, we'll be free to hit him again. As for the innocent man that will be entirely unlike."
You sit motionlessly, head down, and out of the conversation.
The Ambassador blows out a breath of air as if it was the first time she's breathed over the course of this conversation. "Every agent will be on alert. An order should be released later today. In the meantime, you should head home before I change my mind about holding onto your badges for a little while. Lock down your apartment, close all the shades, and keep the lights off. Hell, book a hotel room if you want, either way, I'll send some men to keep a close perimeter. Just take the rest of the week off."
"What about Murphy?" Javi's partner, of course. The two are inseparable. A true brotherly relationship.
"He'll be just fine in his own. Paperwork shouldn't be a burden for him. Your main concern is keeping y/n out of sight. Your door could be beaten down at any instant with the flash of a gun barrel to her head."
You should be worried about that last part, except a kick of relief washes through you at the fact that Murphy, on his own, would be safe for the rest of this week.
You take this opportunity of silence to pull out your recorder and notepad from the interview, placing it on the wooden desk. You drop your wrists quickly, hoping to hide their tremor. "From the interview," you mumbled as she grabs both, flipping through your pages.
"You're dismissed," she answers, speaking to both of you, eyes still glued to the ink.
____
"I should have never brought you into this." Javier shares. The car ride home had been silent, until now, with twenty minutes still to go.
"It's not like I meant to, Javier. Surely you know that?" He lights a cigarette, steering the car with his knee for a moment or two. You always hated that.
"Of course, I know that. I'm not.. angry with you, y/n." He says, cigarette between his teeth.
"Right." You lean on your elbow, staring out the car window. You don't believe him, not with the way he reacted this morning. Though, you think on how else he could react. Give you comfort? Reassuring words, cooing that it's not your fault? No. Javier wouldn't. Not with something that was this important because it is your fault.
"I mean I was, but.." he pauses. You feel his gaze before a warm palm squeezes the pillowy flesh of your thigh. "Hey," he calls. You turn, drawn to the delightful change in his voice, and the scent of his cigarette. "I was angry, of course, I was. But I understand, y/n. You saw an opportunity to get more Intel, even if it was premature. It doesn't matter because you were thinking like me."
You could see the warmth radiating from his brown eyes. The aviators are unable to neutralize such fervency. You nod at him, sliding your hand onto his, locking it against your thigh.
"I mean, did we nearly lose our jobs? Probably. Are you number one on Escobars kill list? Probably. Is it my fault? Probably." He shrugs, taking a puff from his cigarette.
"I'm the one that fucked up, not you? You stuck your neck out for me, got me a job at the embassy and I just...I fucked up." You couldn't think of any other way to put it. You fucked up. It's as simple as that. You wouldn't allow Javi to to blame himself.
"Okay, well how about we don't play the finger pointing game and just eat some dinner, yeah?"
Javier pulls the car into a concealed parking spot, different from your usual spot. He grabbed your bag from the backseat, stepping out the car and circling to the other side to you.
It, for some reason, brought you back.
You thought of the night you met Javi. It was a nice dinner, your friend Connie, Steve's wife, had invited you. You sat across from her, Steve sat beside her, and Javier was in the chair next to you, absolutely grilling you. You couldn't remember quite what it was about, but you remember the wrath you felt. Vexation was clearly his strong suit. You couldn't tell if he was being playful or straight up just being a dick. Either way, you had a bad taste in your mouth after being around him.
It was almost enough to keep you from learning just how creative and brave he was.
Steve had eventually told you the stories of how vigorous his plans were.
Raids we're successful because of Javi and its what makes him one of the best in the embassy to this day.
You couldn't help but ask yourself ..
Did you ruin that?
Make him look like a fool in love? Make him look soft?
A large hand waved in your face. "Where'd you go, huh?"
You blinked twice, eyes back in focus, finding his focusing back on you.
"Just lost in thought, I guess." You tucked a red wavy strand of hair behind your ear and he leans in giving you a sweet kiss, helping you out of the truck.
____
"Do you have any sevens?"
"Go fish, pretty girl."
It was past midnight in Colombia, yet the streets were loud with pride.
Javier and you downed a bottle of wine and a box of cookies baked and gifted to you from Connie. You made an effort to sleep after dinner, was even enticed by Javi, but your mind was too loud and your bed was frigid. A little too cold to be ordinary. It was a bizarre feeling and awfully foreign, leaving you with an uneasy sensation. Javi sensed it of course, and toted you off into to the living room, making sure to gather his fortuitous deck of playing cards and the bottle of red wine that was currently hollow. He even found blankets and gave his word to stay up and play cards until you were exhausted.
You whined, snatching yet another card. Who knew Javi would beat you at a damned child's game. He had a pompous smirk on his face while observing you.
You merely giggled as your cheeks reddened with color from his watch.
You worshiped witnessing Javi like this. So..homely. His hair is unkept and fluffy, a remarkable compliment to his brown eyes. He wore a black nightshirt and pajama pants. He was soothed, and his guard was down. His customary harsh and strong-arm articulation, reduced to a delicate sculpture. You could just paint the breathtaking portrait in your head; a life with Javier, a family with him. It was a beautiful romance and one that'd be ultimately conceivable.
"What's going on in that head of yours?" He says.
You smile, "Just lost in thought." You answer. His lips stretch into a sweet smile. One of the great secrets of Javier Peña; his striking smile.
"Do you remember, back in Texas last year when we were having dinner with my mother?"
He nods. "On her farm, right? The Fourth of July?"
"Yes. And she wouldn't be quiet about the nights her and I spent together, playing cards and drinking chocolate milk." You giggle at the thought. "I don't think I understood what it meant for her until now. I mean, I was just a kid and was happy to be there with her, but she needed it. A time to just get away from what troubled her. To get away from her mistakes and be with somebody she cherished." You glanced at Javier.
"I thought this would be a promising diversion. We both made mistakes today and I just, I didn't want you to crumble. I'm so sorry, y/n for dragging you into this mess. I wasn't thinking like I should have. I knew the risks, and.."
"No no no, this was my decision." You grab his jaw and draw his gaze back to yours. "My choice. Okay? I'm the one, that after two years of watching you work, disobeyed direct orders. I should have been smarter than I was." His eyes are unsure but yours are opposing. Your strong gaze turns to mush, knowing he'd never be okay with this. Instead of words, you just lean in communicating with a kiss.
It's strange to you how much a person can enable you to forget your troubles. You were caught in this endearing moment with him and obviously, he was too, because once an intense grief, scalding and unbearable, shot through your shoulder, a flip had quickly switched in Javier's expression as he pulled back and it terrified you.
Really terrified you.
Everything, from that moment on, began to move fast.
I guess that's what happens when you're about to possibly die.
You remember the blood pouring from your shoulder, keeling over onto the floor in agony. Javier's eyes are in an unreachable rage and sorrow as he grabs you as gently as possible, pulling you behind the couch. Your body was in shock, the bullet surely hitting something essential in your shoulder from the portion of blood you were losing. Javier, shifting you so your back is to him examines for an exit wound. You barely hear the agonizing scream you release. "I know, pretty girl, I know!"He enunciated. Finding exactly what he was looking for, Javi fit your head in his lap. It was evident there was nowhere else to go unless we both wanted to be punctured with bullets. As the bullets continued to fly, each bang deafening you by the second, Javier moved fast, grabbing his gun from the coffee table. You dared to look down, finding Javiers blood-stained shirt, finding your wound and it's a gruesome attribute.
With mastery, he aims with unstable hands up over the couch directly into enemies' sight. Speaking of sight, yours begins to spin, and you sense the loss of strength in your limbs as you pull at his shirt, giving into the darkness.
In your unconscious state, Jav had run out of bullets quicker than you could even speak the word. After all it was just him against a crew of men that had a hell of a lot more cover and yet a handful were put down with ease. It's then that the ambassador's men show, along with Steve. Connie sprints to your side and remains there. With both Javier and Connie keeping pressure on your wound they bitterly waited for a medic.
Javier hadn't known what to do.
So he pleaded.
Not only to you but to the gods above for another day with you, another night with you. He had implored, with your blood on his hands and shirt. He had prayed for one more night, knowing damn well he wouldn't get one as you took your final breath leaving him with a shattered universe and an immense arch of vindication.

@void-botanist I'm making a whole new post on my main so I don't hijack your writeblr but re: salmon leap it's perfectly okay that there's no salmon in it because Cú Chulainn is in Puzzle and Dragons, one of my favorite video games ever, and now I get to infodump about it. For context PAD is a gacha game (sorry) where you match orbs on the board to attack monsters and.. that's the entire game they only just added story dungeons like a couple years ago but I like it a lot. It's like if bejeweled had bigger numbers and let you move the jewels anywhere you wanted. And the music and weapon designs are really cool.
(disclaimer: I don't play PAD consistently anymore and I'm kinda behind on the meta, and I've never used Cú Chulainn on a team, so take all of this with a grain of salt)
So this is card #1209, Wolf Hero, Ignis Cú Chulainn. 1209 sounds like a lot but this game has been around since like.. 2012, and idk when this card dropped but it's likely pretty close to ten years.
Tumblr media
(source)
There are a lot of different evos but I'm just going with this one for now. I doubt it's historically accurate, this game just pulls deities from a lot of different mythologies and does whatever the hell it wants with them. But it does look cool!
It's a wood/fire attribute, which means it deals wood (PAD version of grass type in Pokémon) and fire damage. Since fire is its second attribute it usually doesn't deal as much fire damage.
Tumblr media
So these are its current awoken skills. Those are basically like passive skills that deal extra damage, change how the board looks, etc. for example the one with the 7 and the red arrow makes it so that if you get 7 combos or more, that card gets a damage boost. The more of those 7c skills a card has, the more that effect is multiplied. So having 3 of them on one card is pretty cool. I don't think 1209 is the strongest card at all but it's gotten a lotttt of buffs since it first dropped; the entire game is subject to a lot of power creep so the devs are constantly adapting old cards to fit the new meta.
The blue squares are a different type of awoken skill called a latent awakening, and if I explained every detail I'd be here all day but basically they increase how much damage 1209 does against certain types of monsters. It doesn't have all of those latents at once but I could pick a few to give to it if I wanted.
So now I'd like to take a look at a different Cú Chulainn Evo that I have actually used, #3919, Gáe Bulg. The huge jump in numbers is because this card was added like years after 1209.
Tumblr media
(source)
Tbh I don't remember which team I used this card on, it's been years, but I can tell you how to use it. This is a special type of evo called an assist (or inherit). Basically that means that you don't put the card on a team as its own unit. Instead you attach it to a different card, and the main card "inherits" this card's awoken skills, its active skill (which is basically when you press a button and then something cool happens like a stat boost or changing the attributes of the orbs of the board), and a fraction of its stats IF the inherit and the main card share an attribute. 3919 is just a wood attribute, so based on that alone it'd be best on a wood attribute card if you want that stat boost. But you can also look at the awoken and active skills to make sure:
Tumblr media
Active skill: Unlock all orbs; Change Heal, Jammer, Poison, Mortal Poison, and Bomb orbs to Wood orbs
(source)
To be clear, this set of awoken skills is kinda weak by 2024 meta standards if you're trying to beat mid-level to endgame dungeons and there are plenty of better cards you can use. 3919 hasn't been hit by the power creep beam. But let's pretend that it's 2016-ish and this is a really powerful card still lol. So starting with the awoken skills, the sword and shield one just tells you that all the following skills can be used by the main card as well. There are 2 enhanced wood orb awokens. Each orb deals a set amount of damage on its own, but when it's enhanced that damage is multiplied by a small amount. The one with the fire attribute symbol on the shield makes that fire attribute types against you deal slightly less damage. And the sword just boosts that card's overall attack a little bit. Finally the active creates more wood orbs, which goes well with the orb enhance awokens. Basically, this is the kind of card you'd want on a team that mostly deals wood attribute damage.
I don't really have a conclusion for this, I could spend an hour talking about these cards alone because this game is so dense lol. But yeah, that's the kinda info you'd take into account if you were building a team. I left a lot of details out but if people ask I'm always happy to explain. Tentatively pinging @vacantgodling and @wayfarer-orca , because y'all both like this game iirc and would maybe enjoy seeing it on the dash

Limbus Tamers
The limbus brainrot is terminal and digimon has been worming its way back so why not combine the two together. I’m not the biggest Digimon nerd (mainly watched some Adventure, 02 and Tamers and played Digimon world 3 and Cybersleuth) so I’ve been using Wikimon to help with the evolution lines, while  yes I could just mix and max anything I tried to use Digimon that actually evolve into one another.
I may do another one with Dante, Charon and Vergilius plus any Sinner I want revisit. So onward to my dubious picks!
Tumblr media
For Yi Sang I chose this line mostly for his desire to have wings and his association with crows. Plus Yatagaramon is cool.
Tumblr media
For Faust I focused on her witch imagery, what with her base E.G.O. giving her a broom and her codename being Walpurgisnacht, and her vast knowledge with Impmon being a stand in for Mephistopheles (I know Mephismon exist I already had settled on witchmon and needed a rookie). AncientWisemon could have gone to Yi Sang since he invented the mirror we use to pull the gacha but it still have that sorcerer vibe.
Tumblr media
For La Creatura I settled for the Guilmon line mostly because Gallantmon/Dukemon, being a Royal Knight, fitted with her knightly delusions and also because I remember Guilmon going feral at some points in Tamers. Plus if we go for Dark Digivolutions, when Don completely snaps she could go down the Megidramon (or even ChaosDukemon) route similarly to Takato.
Tumblr media
I hesitated a bit with Ryoshu so I ended doing both ideas: I kinda cobbled this one together trying to concile her ties to fire (her E.G.O inflict burn, the “cooking” of the Kebab and that one picture of her burning everything using as her steed) and art with Etemon being a singer and Piedmon being a clown (and circus artist in general).  Plus the Dark Master have throwing knives/swords.
Tumblr media
This one was more was more based on her swordplay and the fact she’s ... ok maybe not “honourable” but she’d rather not do it the “coward’s way”, she straight up refused to disguise herself during the casino heist and wanted to face the Shi assassin head on in Canto IV. So Musyamon popped into my mind and then went up the evo line to try and keep the samurai/ronin theme and Kunemon is here because I couldn’t use Kotemon as it doesn’t digivolve into Musyamon.
Tumblr media
Mr Salt got the Andromon line because he’s very robotic at times, a cog in the machine if you will, plus he is a tank of a man so Guardromon fits well. Also I thought it would be funny if somehow the machine Digimon ended up being more prone to make judgements than its human partner.
Tumblr media
I didn’t know where to go with Hong Lu, I tried with the Devas and little more with Lopmon’s line then I saw QueenChessmon and went “Chess is pastime for hoity-toity rich folk and Hong Lu is a rich boy” and went from there. Not really satisfied but it just clicked in the moment. ... If Hong Lu is playing some 5d chess with us I SWEAR TO -
Tumblr media
Another double feature with the other sinner with double seats privilege ... this was completely incidental. This one is based on the brutish side of Heathcliff though Ogremon can be cunning as can our angry british. Titamon is also connected to revenge (specifically against the Olympos XII) so it fits as well. I know Rebellimon doesn’t digivolve to Titamon but fuck it ! I didn’t want Digitamamon on here and that’s the only exception I made, I just wanted to keep mean green demon all the way.
Tumblr media
This one came frame from a flash about Telepole Heathcliff and since He’s a bastard I couldn’t him give a regular Gabumon.
Tumblr media
I just had to give Fishmael a Whamon because of Moby Dick. As for the rest: I picked Gomamon because I thought it’d be funny to have a laid back partner with how rigid she can be; Dolphmon to transition between Gomamon and Whamon and Plesiomon because it’s a traditional Mega for Gomamon alongside Vikemon.
Tumblr media
I must admit being stumped and just going “Waifumon go !”. Might revisit her with a more fitting line sometime.
Tumblr media
For Sinclair at first I wanted to give him an avian line then stumbled upon Tsukaimon digivolving into Pidmon and went “time to go the angel route” as a spin on Patamon. Outside of MagnaAngemon (and Angewomon for that matter) I tried not to use Adventure/02 digimon. I picked Dominimon but hesitated between it, ClavisAngemon and SlashAngemon.
Tumblr media
For Outism I first wanted to have an Olympos XII member then wondered whether or not there was a trojan horse digimon, Lo and behold there was ! As for the rest I worked my way down : Cherrymon being a duplicitous tree (he tried to manipulate Yamato during the Dark Master arc) fit Outis being suspicious, kiwimon is kind of a filler pick and Alraumon is a fake Palmon.
Tumblr media
Finally for Gregor I picked the Wormmon line though with some changes. I chose Snimon instead of Stingmon to harken to G Corp Gregor and while there’s a roachmon I felt it was too on the nose. As for Bloomlordmon I hesitated with going with GranKuwagamon or HeraclesKabuterimon but leaned more on this one mainly to distance a bit from bugs since Gregor has two plant based E.G.O.
That should be it for now.

A Mermaid’s Tale - Part 2 - Official Patch Notes
All text and images except for the Crimson Coral Cookie unlock screen were obtained from the official CRK Discord Server. GIFs from that server’s posted patch notes are not present here because Tumblr will not accept GIFs bigger than 10 MB, and they just happened to be bigger than that. My personal notes/comments will be displayed using this indentation format as normal.
Greetings from the Kingdom team!
Let’s take a look at the list of new features coming with the August 30 update.
Please note that there will be other fixes and adjustments to improve your Kingdom experience as well.
You can find the detailed list of changes, additions, and fixes in the patch notes published on the day of the update.
WHAT’S NEW
■ NEW SPECIAL EPISODE: A MERMAID’S TALE PT.2
- The second half of the Special Episode, A Mermaid’s Tale, has been added.
· Dive into the underwater tales to find out what happens to the kingdom of Tearcrown, unlock new Collection entries, and earn rewards!
Tumblr media
- The Tower of Frozen Waves has been added.
· After clearing A Mermaid’s Tale, Pt.2, you can climb up the Tower of Frozen Waves along with Peppermint Cookie and Sorbet Shark Cookie!
- The Tower of Frozen Waves consists of 100 floors, ranging from battle and running stages to treasure chests.
- You can unlock additional stories by clearing certain stages. Climb up the tower and earn various rewards, including Life Jewel of Choice Chests, titles, and more!
Editor’s Note: The idea of 100 floors in the Tower of Frozen Waves was actually something that can be traced as far back as Cookie Run LINE. The inclusion of Peppermint Cookie and Sorbet Shark Cookie in this tagline references a similar story from the “Tower of Frozen Waves” event that originally aired in OvenBreak in July 2020; the last update before the launch of Season 5 and the Lost City of Sugarteara story and Breakout Main Episode, where they alongside Captain Ice Cookie and Pirate Cookie climbed the tower to unlock its secrets.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
■ [SUPER EPIC] CRIMSON CORAL COOKIE
Editor’s Note: There’s no new Epic Cookie this time. Crimson Coral Cookie is the only new playable Cookie this half-update. As such, Peppermint Cookie remains the only new Epic Cookie this entire update, and their special gacha banner will remain as is while Crimson Coral Cookie’s Legion Gacha is live.
Tumblr media
- Crimson Coral Cookie is a Defense Cookie that uses the skill, ‘Somber Affection.’
- Skill description: Crimson Coral Cookie's sisters will lend their powers to the crimson spear, piercing enemies and dealing damage. Afterwards, Crimson Coral Cookie will cast an HP Shield to the 2 allies with the highest ATK (excluding herself) equal to a portion of her Water-type Skill damage. If Crimson Coral Cookie is the only Cookie in the front line, she and her allies will gain the Coral Armor buff. Additionally, her Coral Armor's size and weight will reduce the effect of Knockback and Flying. When Crimson Coral Cookie is using her skill, she is not affected by ATK SPD changes and will become resistant to interrupting effects.
- You can now pull Crimson Coral Cookie and her Soulstones in the Legion Gacha.
- Collect or purchase Coral Tear Droplets and use them in the Legion Gacha.
- In the Legion Gacha, you can get Coral Tear Shards instead of Mileage Points.
- You will receive the same number of Coral Tear Shards for pulling Cookies and Soulstones regardless of the Cookies’ Ascension status.
- Once you have collected a certain number of Coral Tear Shards, you will be guaranteed to meet Crimson Coral Cookie.
- If you already have fully ascended Crimson Coral Cookie or have enough Soulstones to fully ascend her, you’ll receive a Super Epic Cookie of Choice Chest instead.
- After the end of the event, all remaining Coral Tear Shards will be converted to Mileage Points and delivered to your mailbox.
- Crimson Coral Cookie will also be able to equip Sea Salt Toppings.
■ [GUEST] GEM MERMAID COOKIES
Tumblr media
- 3 Gem Mermaid Cookies are now available.
· [GUEST] Aquamarine Cookie
· [GUEST] Gold Citrine Cookie
· [GUEST] Mystic Opal Cookie
- GUEST Cookies cannot participate in Kingdom Activities and aren’t available for battles or upgrades.
Editor’s Note: They essentially share the same exclusivity and status as the 20 Disney Cookies from the Disney collaboration from Summer 2022. They’ll roam around your kingdom and can interact with their own special decorations, as well as your own Cookies. What you CAN’T do with them is have them produce stuff in your economy/production buildings, send them out on a Bear Jelly Balloon, or prepare them for battle through any kind of upgrades available for other playable Cookies. Unlike the BTS Cookies, they also can’t be added to your battle team, since they’re not set to fight unlike their more experienced sisters White Pearl Cookie and Crimson Coral Cookie. Also… where’s Frilled Jellyfish Cookie? She’s not here!
- Welcome the Gem Mermaid Cookies to the Kingdom through the Gem Mermaids & Iridescent Shells event!
- In the ‘Gem Mermaids & Iridescent Shells’ event, you can select one of the 5 shells to meet a Gem Mermaid Cookie or earn a different reward.
- When you open an Iridescent Shell 30 times, you will be guaranteed to meet one of the three Cookies whom you haven’t met yet.
- If you have already met all the Gem Mermaid Cookies, you’ll receive 1,000 Coral Tear Droplets if you meet a Gem Mermaid Cookie.
- You can open one free shell each day in the Gem Mermaids & Iridescent Shells event. Purchase Sea Foam Gems from the shop using Crystals to open more shells.
Editor’s Commentary & Painful Math To Prove A Point: You need 10 Sea Foam Gems to open a shell. Conveniently, you can buy packs of 10 Sea Foam Gems for 300 Crystals, although you can only buy 2 packs per day and claim 1 freebie before the counter resets. Assuming you meet all 3 Gem Mermaids through the 30th pity drop, this endeavor would be worth 27,000 Crystals worth of pulls before factoring in freebies. But because you only have about 26 days for this event, you’d be limited to 900 Crystals’ worth of pulls a day including freebies. If you log in all 26 days, spend 600 Crystals on pulls daily, and claim your daily freebie worth 300 Crystals, you’d accumulate 23,400 Crystals’ worth of pulling from this gacha. After discounting the equivalent Crystal cost stemming from freebies, you’ll soon calculate that assuming you log in and spend 600 Crystals on this daily, you’ll need to have spent 15,600 Crystals total on this gacha over the course of this event. Of course, all of this math stems from the assumption that you’ll meet a Gem Mermaid off the 30th pity guarantee drop every time. If you happen to roll the low percentage that gives you a Gem Mermaid, that will save you time, needed effort, needed persistence, and a lot of Crystals. Although… these Sea Foam Gem bundles can be earned by watching an ad instead of paying 300 Crystals. This doesn’t affect the total number of F2P pulls you can pool from, but it saves you a few Crystals for other things.
30 pulls needed for pity drop x 300 Crystals per pull = 9,000 Crystals’ worth of pulls for a Gem Mermaid in pity (including the freebies)
9,000 Crystals’ worth of pulls for a Gem Mermaid in pity (including the freebies) / 900 Crystals’ worth of free pulls possible in a day (including freebies) = 10 Days of persistent Crystal spending to get a Gem Mermaid through the pity drop
9,000 Crystals’ worth of pulls per pity drop x 3 Gem Mermaids = 27,000 Crystals’ total worth in pulls for all 3 Gem Mermaids in pity (including the freebies)
300 Crystals’ worth per daily freebie x 26 days in the event = 7,800 Crystals’ worth of daily freebies available
900 Crystals’ worth in daily freebies & Crystal spending x 26 days in the event = 23,400 Crystals’ worth of F2P pulls possible
23,400 Crystals’ worth of F2P pulls possible - 7,800 Crystals’ worth of daily freebies available = 15,600 Crystals required in total across this entire event to claim every F2P pull
23,400 Crystals’ worth of F2P pulls possible / 300 Crystals per pull = 78 possible F2P pulls
78 possible F2P pulls / 30 pulls needed for pity drop = 2.6 possible F2P pity pulls
TLDR: Meeting 2/3 Gem Mermaids as a F2P is essentially guaranteed if you log in and claim all 3 possible F2P pulls and spend 600 Crystals on this daily, even if you have to rely on the 30th pity drop, in which there are 2 possible as a F2P within this timeframe on every 10th day. Meeting the 3rd one will require you to eventually roll for a Mermaid, but not one you already met, as this gets you 1,000 Coral Tear Droplets and achieves nothing. The pity counter doesn’t appear to reset if you meet one through a lucky roll, so pulling and meeting a new Mermaid before your 2nd pity drop (your 60th overall pull) will guarantee the 3rd Mermaid in the 2nd pity. If you watch ads to pull, you can save your 300 to 600 daily Crystal spending for other things.
- After the end of the event, all remaining Sea Foam Gems will be converted to Coins and delivered to your mailbox.
■ SUPER MAYHEM: TEARCROWN
Tumblr media
- A new season of Super Mayhem begins in the underwater Tearcrown kingdom!
- Just like in the previous seasons, you need to set up three teams with five Cookies on each team (a total of 15 Cookies).
- Your Team 1 will battle the opponent’s Team 1, and your Team 2 will fight the opponent’s Team 2 afterwards. The player with the most victories will win.
- Cookies participating in the Super Mayhem will receive a battle buff.
· Cookies boosted to Lv.60
· Cookie Skill Levels boosted to Lv.60
· Topping bonus effects will not activate: the main effect will be applied, but the bonus effects unlocked by reaching +6, +9, +12 will not.
- Every round in the Super Mayhem, the Torrents of the Sea effect and Aqua Shield will activate.
① Torrents of the Sea
- The Torrents of the Sea effect is charged by skill activations from both teams. Once the waves are charged enough, the Torrents of the Sea effect will automatically trigger.
- Torrents of the Sea will sweep away the Cookie from the opponent team with the lowest HP percentage, permanently incapacitating them.
② Aqua Shield
· The Aqua Shield will protect a Cookie from the Torrents of the Sea once.
· One random Cookie will receive the Aqua Shield at the beginning of a battle.
- Reach the Master tier in Super Mayhem to obtain the ‘Spirit of Blue Waves’ statue design.
- Rewards and tiers for the Super Mayhem have been updated.
· Season rewards and the number of required Trophies for the Master to Grandmaster tiers have been adjusted.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
- Once you reach a certain tier, the team info of your opponents will be hidden.
· On tiers Crystal 3 – Diamond 2, the third Cookie and Treasures of the second and third teams will be hidden.
· On tiers Diamond 1 – Master 3, the third and fourth Cookie and Treasures of the second and third teams will be hidden.
· On tiers Master 2 – Grandmaster 1, players’ Kingdom names and profile pictures will be displayed randomly; their Power will be displayed in hundred-thousands and millions only, along with the first three numbers of their Trophy counts.
■ HALL OF ENCOUNTER: A MERMAID’S TALE
Tumblr media
- The Hall of Encounter has been updated. You can now find Crimson Coral Cookie in the Hall.
■ NEW DECOR
- ‘Shimmering Coral Throne’ is now available in the Tropical Island theme.
Editor’s Note: This decoration will cost you 24,000 Rainbow Pearls to buy if you’re not planning on buying the associated package in the shop. It’s about as expensive as the other Legendary Cookie decorations, so it’s fair. Just keep trading in the Trade Harbor and play in events, and you’ll soon find out that you saved enough to buy it. You can have the 3 Guest Gem Mermaids, Crimson Coral Cookie, and Black Pearl Cookie interact with it all at once!
ADDITIONS, CHANGES & IMPROVEMENTS
■ Heroic Torches will now stack up to 99,999 instead of 9,999 in the Storage.
■ Stage effect icons on the battle preparation screen have been grouped into a single list

i NEED to grip and shake you like a salt and pepper shaker tumblr user somehowmags cause im so insane about rook i need to talk about him I MISS HIM SO MUCH RHAHSHSGSGDYSHSHAHSHH but this cookie hits so im not gonna talk about him now. also im really hyped for the possibility of a book 8 wherein there's a grim overblot and they explore yuu's arc and their role in twisted wonderland, their backstory, mickeys involvement, and what lies ahead for them. i just can't grasp that twisted wonderland might end after book 7 because you can't do that to me. you can't end my mental illness :/ drop more lore like it's a pumpkin in MY enclosure. i intended for my twst mc to be based off alice liddell in American McGee's Alice but canon yuu takes such a big backseat in the overall story i have to think my thunk so much about my own mc's respective role in the lore and ongoing story and it hurts. the curse of needing to have a girlboss mc
WAUBLBLGLGLBLBGLGBL <- me being shaken like a salt and pepper shaker
HONESTLY I DON'T THINK THEY'LL END IT AFTER BOOK 7!!! they've set up rsa and that upcoming tournament between the two schools already, and we still don't know what the monster in the beginning that looks like grim is, and we still don't know what mickey's deal is! (everytime i remember that mickey mouse is in this game i have to sit down and put my head in my hands for a lil bit. what the fuck man. it feels more jarring than him being in kingdom hearts for some reason asdkljhjalsdf) storywise, there's still a lot to get to! also, i get the feeling that they'll want to show the twst versions of the disney princesses as well which i personally would be very excited to see and also maybe even the fourth year students!
and on the cynical side of things...gacha games are really popular right now, and i think disney will milk the cash cow for all its worth for as long as they can. sure, twst isn't as popular as, like, genshin impact, but its still fairly popular in its own right, and im sure theyre making a pretty penny off of it. and what keeps people coming back is story and character. (granted, im sure it would get more popular and therefore more profitable if they'd just fucking release it in more regions but. well. im not being paid to advise disney on shit lmao. if i was we would already be able to buy those 60 dollar jumbo plushies in the us and i would have a gazillion of them) but also story heavy mobile games tend to run for a long time anyways- like, fire emblem heroes came out in 2017 (holy shit that came out in 2017????) and it's STILL releasing its story. basically do not underestimate corporate greed
but in the interest of not being a total hater i also trust in yana toboso's writing here. for the problems that i have with her (and by problems i mean whatever criticisms i had from the last time i read black butler in like 2018 aklsjdffhalksdhldfhk) she is a good writer and black butler has been continually published since. holy shit i just checked wikipedia its literally been published since 2006 LMAO THAT'S WILD so i don't think the story will be running out for a while!

do u have any tips for making job stuff bearable?
crabsolutely! disclaimer this is coming from a cs/stats major so your mileage may vary. another disclaimer I’m 22 and have mostly just done internships so take it with a grain of salt. this is also for white collar because when i wasn't working an office job i almost got fired for getting in fights with my boss
Applying
experience rejection. this is obvious and it sucks but know you will be rejected like 97% of the time before you get to the interview stage. it isnt personal, think of it like a gacha. for my 2021 internship i applied to nearly 100 places, got 3 interviews, 2 of which resulted in offers.
do a little bit of job searching every day instead of doing it all at once. turn on notifications on linkedin with filters for the type of job you are looking for
fuckkkk cover letters. only do a cover letter if you really want a job and/or think you have a good shot. imo the time it takes to write a cover letter is not worth it, you're better off filling out more applications with that time. also they are psychological torture.
Speaking of things that are more worth your time than cover letters, tailor your resume to jobs. It will drive you crazy if you do it every time so only do it for select jobs
If a recruiter contacts you GO FOR THAT JOB. see if they can put in a referral for you or give your resume priority. This will significantly boost your chances of getting an interview
BIG ONE: if you're a woman or minority look for programs or job listings targeted for that group. these often have less applications so your chances are better. often times these will also be more accommodating for your diverse needs. my first big internship was through a company's autism spectrum program and it was great.
Apply for unpaid, even if you don't want to do them. Use them for valuable interview practice.
Interviewing (this is what I’m really good at)
Make a list of talking points you want to hit in the interview, and look for opportunities to get them in. This will help give you structure
Start learning the common interview questions for your field. prepare answers for them.
RESEARCH THE COMPANY. know what they do. the most common question is “why do you want to work for x”
Smile and be enthusiastic. This sounds dumb but it helps with making a positive impression
Prepare questions for your interviewer, it shows interest and will help you know if the job is a good fit for you
Calm yourself down in whatever way is most effective for you. Remember this isn’t life or death
Plan for a little treat after your interview. It is surprising how much this helps get you through it
Working the actual job
1. Get on good terms with your boss. I learned this the hard way. fake interest in his affinity for hiking or whatever
2. Keep expectations low. Say you’ll get something done in a much longer time than it would take (but not so long they think you are an idiot). If you have a ton of time, discreetly goof off before you turn your task in so the expectations don’t get too high. Don’t follow this task if you want to move up quickly but its great for internships. This is my work-life balance.
3. Befriend your coworkers, especially the more experienced ones. They will have valuable advice
4. If you start getting really sick of the job, immediately start looking for another one. This may suck if you arent, like me, addicted to linkedin but its better than a job sucking your soul out
5. Get over your fear of emails whats the deal with people being afraid of emails here
6. Keep a goal in mind at all times, weather it be just doing well at what you are doing, getting a promotion, or going to another company. Keep in mind that you are gaining relevant experience
7. keep your resume updated for when opportunities arise so you don’t have to feel stressed about it later
Hope this helps and sorry it took so long I forgor that i saved it as a draft haha

ye… you know as a person who always chooses to play with male main charas, I think shitty male customization is unavoidable, bc, ya know….. men in real life don’t have much of a choice when it comes to choosing their outfits LMAOOOOOO
like I remember being in ZARA (I think?) and one huge part of the shop was full of clothes for women, with huge variety of colors, forms and patterns, and then the other (much smaller) part of store was full of male clothes…… it was like, literally the same 10 things copy pasted and some of them have had different colors LOL
sadly men fashion is very… limited, I guess? esp if we are gonna compare to what women have… so I think in a lot of games with customization it’s nearly impossible to give male characters a lot of variants, I suppose…
it have reminded me of the time when I was still playing Line Play (basically dress up gacha), and at first, there was two different types of gacha depending on if you have had male avatar or female (mine was male), but a little time later after I’ve joined they practically stoped making outfits that were exclusively for male characters (of at least looked somewhat masculine), stoped making two kinds of clothes for the same outfit banners, and then they just got rid of “gendered” separation… and you might think it’s good, but no… they basically did it bc they stopped creating shit for male avatars, but bc they didn’t want to lose the money, creators were like “….instead coming up with new cool fits for men, let’s just let them wear fits for women….” and sometimes it was fine (I see nothing wrong with male avatar wearing something cute or a skirt LOL), but sometimes outfits LITERALLY came with boobs, so, you know…
and bc the whole game was dependent on outfit gacha, even if you wanted this ONE “masculine” costume from this one new gacha that have like, 18 feminine pieces of clothes and 2 masculine pieces of clothes (like a two piece suit, for example)…. good luck with that LMFAOOOOO bc not only there was a high chance of getting shit ton of dupes, but at some point practically all “male” attires acquired “super rare” status……..
sorry, that was a lot of salt for nothing, but what I am saying is that it sucks that male characters always get shittier customization, but I guess it just works the same way as in reality…
On one hand I agree, its hard for men in a traditional sense to have as much clothing as typically feminine clothing... but on the other hand with other various gacha titles... Genshin most prominently for me. Those games are fully made to get people to buy their characters... and those boys are dripped the fuck out (with a few exceptions... Albedo..)! They manage to make each male character stand out even with the limitations that they can only wear pants or shorts.
Tumblr media
So while I do think men TECHNICALLY have a more limited 'acceptable' wardrobe (which is usually limited to the style and length of pants and sleeves) in the hands of the right people thats still a lot to work with.
Also that game you were talking about that didnt even adjust the clothes for a more typically masculine body... thats so fucking cheap LMAO
Gamefreak in particular is SO damn rigid with fashion... honestly it shouldnt have been surprising Galars fashion was weak as fuck- customization or otherwise.... considering the Gym leaders are wearing lame ass sports uniforms... and now we got these lame ass MCs who have no individuality...
Its particularly weird for the MC in Pokemon to be so lame because they usually show up in the cartoon.... you really gonna have that MC next to Ash and not give them a half way decent outfit?
CHOICES.

god what I wouldn't give for Namco to just reboot Crestoria. not this crossover-less manga that skipped half the story and altered major aspects of its own original cast. the story the way it was, with legacy characters deeply intertwined with the plot to the point that they were handled just like original characters.
I don't hate the manga but I'm very aggravated with it. I keep seeing people mention it's doing poorly and like... yeah??? this is taking a vague concept from the game that players loved the story and cast of and mashing it into a speedrun of "how many scenes from different chapters can we stick into a single manga chapter/manga arc". at first, I understood needing to remove crossover stuff for an original manga... but now it's at the point where they've completely changed whole storylines for its own original cast.
if any of y'all have seen some of my tags on my Cresty reblogs, you know I'm as stupid and just as silly a girl as one can get about Vicious. I'd have to say he's probably in a tie as my second place favorite overall character in the franchise.
so idk, watching the game turn into this empty shell of what I loved is hella painful lol. I want the game back with the full cast, legacy characters included, and I want to know all their roles and how they'd continue to be incorporated into the story. so many plots got left behind. Milla and Kasque, Milla and Velvet, Lloyd's group, Stahn and Leon, Barbatos, Yuri, Emil, Julius, Cless and Kanata, Asch... and that's obviously not everything but yeah (some of them I could argue never legitimately needed to show up again due to having their plot relevance completed more or less but could show up again just as Kanata's friends like Reid and Veigue).
I mean of course I'd love to play the game again for what it was, but it's the story and characters (legacy included) that kept me going even when the gameplay started to stagnate (which was probably a cost issue if I had to guess). the voice acting and music had a big part in it too.
there's no particular direction for this post; I just needed to vent about my frustrations with Crestoria's fate LOL. at this point if the already not great manga fails, they probably really will give up on it because it's "failed" twice (and to my knowledge it's entirely not the player base's fault it failed and in part had to do with JP players no longer funding the game after a huge refund scandal). I don't think they'd want to make a console game or anime out of it at that point or turn the game back on.
see, like, if they turned the game back on (if they even still had the code for it idk how that works with online service games shutting down), I wouldn't even mind entirely if they'd deleted player data (which at this point I imagine they would have). like I'd be bummed but... I'd go through it all again and wait for content I already knew if it meant new stuff was coming after. YEAH THAT'S HOW DESPERATE I AM.
anyway putting vicious crestoria in a gacha game was a sin and you can take that as a pun or not but it rly was a sin of them to put smth that great (also not a pun but it can be) and amazing in the confines of a gacha game that they ended up pulling the plug on after a year and a half anyway.
salt for dinner, folks!
my problem is that i love cresty too much and now im hurtin' for it.

hello tumblr I've been searching for this extremely niche game for years and all i have to go off of if this character with an extremely broad name
okay so for the past 2-3 years now I've been looking for this mobile game that i played when i was either like 10 or 11 years old on my spare time. problem is that i assumed the game EOS'ed because i can no longer find it on the google play store. and to rub salt on the wound. i do not know the name of the game, I only know an extremely vague details of a character I believe is called "Mint" and that she was a maid. this obviously doesnt narrow down my search by a lot.
I managed to only jot down just a few notes to help try and find out who this even is.
• first of all she's a maid with a short bob that's a little spiky (think sakuya from touhou minus the braids) and had red eyes
• she's a maid so she's wearing a maid dress. it's actually quite modest and if i recall its either ankle length or knee length. cant recall any footwear
• as the game is an anime gacha from the 2010s she's part of the whole yandere troupe (my bad) and becuase of that her eyes glow in some of the sprites. I'm not sure about this part exactly the details are still fuzzy.
• the game itself i believe was a fantasy rpg game available on mobile games. if i recall the game itself was entirely 2D and the art style used cell shading
I drew a little pic of her based on what i could remember. sorry i drew it on my phone at midnight so its elementary but yeah
Tumblr media
this probably is not going to work but if anyone can help me find mint so i can at least sleep peacefully at night again. it's been literal years. would take this to reddit but i do not knkw how to use the website and kind of intimidated by it but i will go there if necessary.

Ooh thanks! (Had to resend since I was gonna help with a wiki link but tumblr said nah not allowed)
A romantic reading like what you did is fine :) His name is Wanderer aka man of Many Names ™️ he was one of my favorites since the launch of the game. Very good and deep character, must protecc ⚔️
Looking forward to that Floyd fic 👀👀👀 he was my first favorite twin then that shifted, then back to Floyd, now I’m stuck between the two of them lol (“both, both is good” ™️)
I definitely don’t have a thing for intelligent or tragic gremlins pssss no of course not…..
🪼
Oof, I feel ya; I just love all of the fish mafia dearly, even though they are shady bastards. Currently, though Floyd is my fav since he was the only SSR that I have from them; awful Gacha luck. And for the Floyd fic it'll be on my writing blog; da-birb-writes-sometimes.
I am familiar with Wanderer *proceeds to sing Bohemian Rhapsody while shuffling /hj* Lemme see what I can do for ya, 🪼. And don't worry about links, I'm used to hunting down info.
Content Warning; spiders... again, touching on past trauma (Wanderer 100%, but also possibly you? You don't have to disclose that info btw)
Their Energy
Spider; this is more so a vibe than the actual card's meaning. I know of the lore, so the spider with its web and the strings attached feels correct given his past. He may also feel like he's trapped between what he knows and what remains to come to the surface. A creator.
What They Are In Need Of
Starfish; they need to realize what they want and put aside what others expect from them. They need positive friends and realize their inner beauty. They may feel empty when out of balance
The Vibe of the Relationship
Ten of Cups Reversed (Julnar the Sea Born); Letting go of dysfunctional family, leaving behind a broken home, of instability, conflict and neglect. I know this fits Wanderer TOO well, but this could also apply to you; again, take that with a grain of salt.
Strengths in the Relationship
Six of Swords Reversed (Danae and Perseus); Letting go of feeling trapped, of instability, abuse, and of unresolved issues. By leaving the past behind, a calm and promising future lies ahead. This could relate to Ten of Cups (R).
Needs Working On
Three of Cups Reversed (Apsara); Letting go of overindulgence, disintegrating bonds, gossip and isolation. Once those are overcome, the "good time" as the card puts it, will come.
Again, I see a lot of healing for both of you. It may be rocky at times, but once you realize what the past traumas are, the future would be bright. Please take him to therapy, please.
Unrelated, but I'm curious if you're a water sign or have any major water sign placements? Since the Suit of Cups and water-fixed cards have shown up a lot in your readings. It could just be me overthinking it though... Pisces? [bad at guessing people's signs]
Cards Under Cut cuz apparently spiders like you (sorry for the camera quality)

♡ Happy Birthday to The Leech Brothers! Congratulations to those who got the birthday cards they wanted, good luck to those who are still trying to bring them home and... my condolences to the newer players who want all four birthday cards... you will be missed 😔♡

So naturally, when the second beans day event came around and i wanted floyd, i thought, well the other two were kind to me so SURELY floyd will be as well, right?? HE MADE ME GO TO PITY. THIS CUTE SLIMY BITCH MADE ME GO TO PITY--- The despair i felt that day, still stings... ♡
♡ The moral of this story? Im never trusting a single fish from this dorm ever again 🗿 ♡
