After lunch, Renee talked about cases with Billy. She was in the early weeks of pregnancy and her work routine was pretty much the same! Renee asked if she was allowed access to the Strangerville archives to read about. At times, she thinks about Veronica and Strangerville. There were too many unanswered questions about the dangerous place and she wonders if she will ever see Veronica again. "I'll check with the director, I don't see why not," Billy replied.

hmmmmmm i have mixed feelings about the coloring on this one. i wasn’t sure how to combine the cheery bright pink-ness of the cafe with the darkness of bowser’s castle. but the more i worked on it the more ok i felt about it i guess? the black text boxes helped with the overall mood i think. figuring out this comic stuff one baby step at a time 😌

still gonna try my best to work on this as quickly as i can. coloring these pages is actually a nice stress-relief for me once i come home from work haha

I bought Dredge Art Book and decided to do a study based on their Fish Species Notebook :>

I absolutely adore this artstyle, Idk what it's called by the mix of 3D and 2D feel is honestly so good

here's some content from the Artbook itself too! I can't wait to study more of it when my finals are over

I think this requires a strong fundamental of lighting and shadows, and also face planes? Im not used to drawing without lineart so this is going to be interesting

here's a short gif i made for the process of coloring the crab

im not sure if this is how it works? xD But i basically drew a rough outline of the crab first, making sure the line is really thin, I also opted to use the straight line tool for that 3D look (and also I don't trust my hand to draw straight lines lol) Then I color in the legs, claws and the shell, I basically use a base color first, then alpha lock it to layer the different shade of colors in Lastly I add the shadows and disable the lineart layer and voila

I plan to do a few more fishes when Im free, so expect more of these haha

hey this is so random but im visiting kl for a few days with friends do u have any recommendations for cool art places, museums, mamak stalls !! (nw if u dont or dont want to, have a great day boss)

- national textiles museum in the city centre has my heart, but muzium negara is also lovely

- nasi kandar rasmeena on jalan bangsar is excellent mamak, seriously so good

- laksa kg baru on jalan raja alang in chow kit is 🙏🏽 dayang sarawak corner on jalan suasa in sungai besi is also excellent

- feeka coffee in bukit bintang is great if you want a nice sit down place with food. marmalade in bangsar village 2 is lovely for brunch but expensive. for coffee chains i like coffee bean and tea leaf & old town coffee (the latter is malaysian-owned)

- for art galleries: galeri prima, ur-mu, wei-ling, ilham, and arthouse gallery museum are all nice to visit, check what they have on when you're coming

- if you like art supplies, art friend in the gardens mall at midvalley is the best art supply shop i've found in kl so far.

- typo at pavilion klcc is a great stationery shop, they have other storefronts elsewhere too

- czip+ by cziplee on jalan telawi 3 is also an awesome art supply and stationery shop, they have another location in bangsar village 2 they opened recently but the one on jalan telawi 3 is bigger

- kinokuniya at pavilion klcc is a massive 2 storey bookstore, books in many languages (english, japanese, and local ones), tons of stationery as well as manga and comics. the manga and comics section alone is bigger than some bookstores i've been in. you could spend all day walking around in here

- for night markets, petaling street is the obvious one but if you want one that's less touristy check out the pudu glutton street night market or the one in chow kit kampung baru. lots of awesome food but less tourists n souvenir shops

Woke up at 5 am to go to school?(Dont lie you know he wakes up early af to get work done)

Drink Tea!(Look at the love in his eyes guys. He looks so peaceful looking at that cup of tea It has helped him like coffee has helped me during finals week)

Someone would ask him why he likes it and hed go on a long tangent about aroma and taste and the type of tea leaves used.(Hes so weird I love him)

I bet he has a special pot and cups for it. As in traditional Tea sets. He is having none of that electronic tea making devices.

He definitely prefers tea brewed by the pot, he thinks the tea tastes much better traditional style(No one thinks it tastes any different but this is one topic that akashi will fight tooth and nail for so everyone just agrees as he stares them down)

I sometimes wonder whether he brews the tea himself or does the chef do it. I think that he brews the tea by himself 1. Because it just doesnt taste the same when other people make it(The only one who can brew my tea is me)

2.He used to help his mother brew tea when she was still alive and its one of his most cherished memories so making the tea reminds him of her okay enough dont make yourself cry.

Hes like the Uncle Iroh of KnB but like a high schooler. That said:
