Not to be That Guy but like.
Am I the only one that can't stop thinking about how Tianlang-Jun says about Luo Binghe that he pretends to be cold-hearted like his mother. The hint of fondness there, the heartache in that utterance.
Like it drives me absolutely insane. Imagining her putting on a front of strength, cold and driven and unrelenting. Why does TLJ say that about her. Did she secretly look for solutions that meant reconciling with demons instead of hurting them when her sect wasn't looking? (I wonder this because I feel like his weird fondness for SQQ would lowkey track if it's connected to the woman he once loved.) Did he mean that she was tasked with basically assassinating him and she fell in love with him instead (re: failed step one)? Did he mean that she was fond and doting in her own way (e.g. conceding he was attractive, paying for his exploits and humoring him)? Did he mean that, like LBH, she thought that power would be the thing to protect her--and that it was disguising a person who was deeply and privately wounded? All four????? I don't need sleep I need a n s w e r s
Did she know about the Huanhua Palace Master's skeevy ass intentions before she met TLJ? Or did those only come to significant light after she fell in love with TLJ? Is that why she never anticipated that level of betrayal, because initially she had no intention of being with anyone romantically? And HHPM just assumed she would be under his thumb forever?? Was she furious at her own indiscretion or did she try to use the pregnancy as a bargaining chip, a way to try to stop the immortals of Cang Qiong Mountain from attacking TLJ (plus the bonus of marriage entrapment no takesies backsies this is where LBH gets it from)? Did she try to use that claim on her to dissuade HHPM from his covetous advances, framing herself as tainted so that she could finally escape? Did she dream of a life by TLJ's side, far away from Cang Qiong Mountain?
Like. Literally every single permutation of what this could mean guts me to hell. Do you ever just cry about tianxi because I--[loud bawling noises]

if you title this you could post the first few chapters already!!! (for the wip ask game lol)
WIP Ask Game! tw: abuse implied
But Christian isn’t looking at her face. His gaze is currently fixed on Satine’s wrist where—Satine notices as if in slow motion and with a lurch of her stomach—the sleeve of her coat has ridden up and a nasty purple bruise is on full display. Unable to adjust her sleeve with her hands full of coffee cups, Satine rotates her arm but it’s too late; the damage has been done.
“Are you alright?” Christian asks, reaching for her arm. His touch is as warm as Satine remembers but she flinches back from it as if it’s scalding hot.
“I’m fine.”
“I’m sorry, did I hurt you?” Christian asks, searching her eyes.
“Not at all,” Satine hastens to reassure him, realizing too late that she probably should have taken that excuse when it was offered to her, that flinching away from something that didn't hurt is suspicious while flinching away from something that did is reasonable. “Nothing to worry about,” Satine tries next, “just one of the hazards of live theatre. The show has a lot of lifts and I bruise easily. You’ll see tonight—the dancing is incredible,” Satine says, trying to get him back on topic of opening night.

just wrote part of a reply on it and honestly i think this sunday is a perfect time to discuss lucifers own "concealing the truth to keep you safe" plot with his brothers has honestly gone too far over the years. like, not just with the lengths he would go to keep it (ie locking belphie up in the attic and lying to everyone about it) but also just how far he will go to keep it. to his brothers, lucifers seen primarily as a rather cold and ruthless figure, he is the one to tell them off when they go wrong but never always lets his guard down with them, pushes himself further into a parental role but falls short in that position because he refuses to give the same levels of trust back to them. because that is the extent of his pride, in a sense. he carries his own burdens and refuses to let his brothers see the cost he takes to make that. he won't tell them of his deal with diavolo, he won't tell them when the work gets too much and he gets exhausting, because he fools himself into believing that they will prefer to see him as this figure they can depend on because he is nothing short of perfect, when what they also want is for him to know he can trust them in the same vain, that this coldness isn't the way to build on what they know.
belphegor and satan are the worstl in this instance, and while mammon has picked up on it ... its only when lucifer really falls in love and begins to trust his partner does he learn to trust his brothers in turn.

Don't check up on people from your past. Delete old messages/texts/emails. Move on and live your life. They aren't in your life anymore for a reason.
