SO! their relationship is sort of split up into two major phases. the pre- and post-betrayal.

pre-betrayal they were friends, good friends actually! puffy was one of the first people she met on the server and gave her a tour [purpled did earlier but it was kinda shit so she offered lol] puffy also introduced her to the egg by taking her to it directly, although they made sure to get hazmat suits

after that they were friends! not super close but they hung out occasionally. then came the banquet. hannah, sam, foolish, and puffy all got together to plan to take them down. sam was suspicious of hannah bc of her previous entanglements with the egg but puffy had nothing but full trust, relying on previous encounters

im not actually sure if puffy knew the extent of what was happening between with hannah and the egg im going to have to rewatch the vods. i think its likely she knew but believed she got away just like puffy and sam had. which is a defining trait of puffy. shes very self-assured and struggles to change opinion / see she was wrong. so when she believed hannah was safe and trustworthy. she BELEIVED.

so when the betrayal happened it was absolutely crushing. in an instant she saw a close ally not only turn against them but also assist in the murder of her son.

[interesting note is that when hannah betrays her quote directly talks to puffy. she does say sam who shes arguably closer to or address everyone. though if im remembering correctly its bc right before she says that puffy says 'hannah how could you!' but im choosing to believe that she just felt bad <3]

so after that any semblance of a good relationship was just crushed into the ground. puffy actively distrusts bad and ant bc they were infected. but hannah who was not only infected AND betrayed her? its bitter and shes hurt and stubborn as hell. she shattered her trust and they can never come back from that

so for some headcannons [under the cut cause this is getting long lol]:

-puffy is the kind of person to find annoyance in everything she does. a 'look at that bitch over there. eating crackers..' type if you will

-hannah tried to explain that she had no choice bc she was literally dying and she does feel bad. puffy is stubborn and. not that she doesnt believe her but its like shed just keep insisting that she CHOSE to betray them [comparing hannahs experiences to her own though its not correct]

-hannah would not back down though and it would dissolve into a screaming match and now shes bitter and angry as well. thats where i think the 'you were the one who introduced me to the egg' thing would come from. yelled during a heated fight which would genuinely hurt puffys feelings and just lead to both being angrier

-they would avoid eachother as much as possible for a period before they begin acting very petty with eachother

-hannah had apologized to foolish and they had become friends again. which pissed puffy tf off

-they would probably do a malicious prank war [puffy leaving spiders in her house [hannah is deathly afraid of them] and hannah stealing / burning her items]

-puffy would probably start it and initially be much more passionate. then hannah fights back hard

-hannah i think would switch between disliking and wanting to annoy her to not caring [bc other issues have come up]

-after loosing her wings hannah would get burnt out by their rivalery and maybe even begin to blame herself which then she gets to have a #healing arc with tina

-after that theres two ways i can really see there relationship going

a. drift apart, hannah moves on and decides she doesnt need to stick in the past. because of the reciprocation puffy also moves on. they never talk anything out and their relationship fizzles out like that

b. hannahs having a breakdown and puffy feels bad and they have a little bit of a feelings jam. after which they change into being a kismesissitude. for those who never read homestuck its one of four of the alien romances. it essentially boils down to ppl who hate eachother so much that they makeout but dont actively harm / kill and theres some begruding respect. you can read more abt it HERE.

version a is more realistic imo bc i truly believe puffy is just too stubborn but also i think them being kismesis' and just annoying eachother [sort of similar to bad and foolish] is fun

so yea! thats basically how i view them rn of course ill probably develop things in the future

but essentially:

friends -> allies / trusted -> betrayal -> BIG fight -> period of bitter anger [possibly even true hatred] -> malicious enemies -> healing arc -> actual worsties

Annoyingly I lost the files when my PC crashed and burned whilst I was away for those 5 weeks

first off i must preface this with the usual: statistically, i have not really seen the majority of his videos. i only subscribed in late 2020, and had been skirting youtube recommending his channel to me for 18 months before that (i was absolutely terrified of him despite having watched many hours of SMPE streams [and before that, mcm clips]. i think i was more afraid of hypixel tbh. i was still learning the vanilla game at that point for crying out loud.). Last spring i planned on backwatching everything i'd missed in a semblance of order, but then he privated half of his uploads, so i never got around to it because i would have done it Wrong. So, for what i Have seen:

firstly i agree so much with MCU 36k and MCM wk10. comfort vid/vods for sure. ive seen those many, many times!!

there was a period of time where i was utterly obsessed with the tnt video. id watch it several times a week and like, liveblog it on discord every time. same with the original 2 VR vids, the red festival, and the 1mil sub special vid but to a lesser degree.

of course ive seen the potato war, but ive also sat down for the 2 or so hours it takes to watch the entire skyblock series back to front. a highlight from this series is fastest man in skyblock, tho its been a bit since ive seen it.

the tree, free history lesson, youtube sent me a thing, mccp21, and the smpe villager stream are all great.

as for DSMP, i have rewatched nothing goes wrong and green festival/doomsday multiple times. nothing goes wrong has given me some of the strongest brainrot about any media since i saw cars (2006) in theatres when i was 7. i was literally uncontrollably shaking during both. bravo, minecraft man!

ok, i just looked, i cant list all of the dsmp streams as some more of my favs because i Will. the moving stream, the turtle stream... the egg,,, the first prison breakout... yeah.

i had such a sixth sense for technostreams. when he didnt announce stuff i would get this Feeling. so id pop into discord and say 'technos prob gonna stream friday' and then id be right, every damn time. it was uncanny.

i havent sat down to watch any of his stuff in a few months now, but i suspect ill get back to it soon, maybe by years-end. i started backwatching all of his MCM and MCC perspectives sometime last winter, ive got to finish those also.

when you write fics do you characterise by memory or go back and rewatch a bunch of stuff? or do you just write away and not really worry about it?

I actually have a lot to say on this, so my response is under the cut :)

Characterization is a huge thing for me, especially because it’s a fic. There are pre-established characters that I am attempting to replicate, both in mannerisms and dialect.

There are some characters I can replicate better than others, just because I’ve been following their character longer and have a better idea of their thought processes and overall characterization. In these cases, I put the character in the situation I’m writing about, envisioning what they’d respond or how they would carry themselves. Writing these characters comes more naturally to me, and I rarely have to rewatch content featuring that character simply because I can more or less replicate them from memory.

Dialogue is the trickiest for me to do, just because everybody has their own particular way of speaking, from their vocabulary to filler words, and all of this varies depending on the person they are speaking to! However, I did find this post, which I have used as reference many times!

With characters I either don’t follow, for whatever reason that may be, I rewatch a lot of content that features them. Specifically content that features them interacting with the character I am writing about, so I can see their mannerisms when they are around that person in particular. I make note of their mannerisms and the natural quirks in their speech, looking for the most notable so that I can attempt to replicate them. In these cases, I do everything I can to avoid writing dialogue that features them, simply because I wouldn’t want it to feel to ooc.

But I know that a few hours of watching vods isn’t enough for me to fully understand the character, so I’m likely to never write a fic starring a character I know very little of.

So yeah! That’s the basic rundown of how I do characterization! :D i hope Ive been doing the c’s justice…

Hi, so ive seen you post about this minceraft roleplay thingy (?) (I actually have no idea if it is soley that there was some talk about acting being good in the last video and it confused me even more) and was wondering what the hell is the plot? Like what is it about? Ive skimmed some posts and they are always very wild and now the curiosity got the better of me. Also I think it ended? At least some posts sounded like it did ^^;

i assume you mean generation loss, because that's basically been all i've been reblogging the last few days.

it is not minecraft roleplay (but i can see where the confusion is coming from bc the creator, ranboo was first known for his mcrp on the dream smp)

generation loss is a livestreamed horror series created by twitch streamer ranboo "ranboolive" the beloved. they're really cool, funny as fuck and stream a lot of different indie horror and story games! (and minecraft, when it's time for him to lose another mincraft championship lmao. L)

anyway, the first part of genloss aired in three shows last week: on wednesday, friday and sunday. really messed up my sleep schedule due to time zones, but oh god it was worth it. of course the vods would've waited for me, but there was ✨audience participation✨ during the streams and i was not going to miss that. and also ranboo had been talking about this project and hyping it up for almost 2 years. so yeah.

and holy shit they delivered. tbf i was really perplexed when it started out all sillygoofy, but the slow descent into horror, the realization of what was truly going on, hit like a ton of bricks. that tone shift was pulled off So well omg.

the plot / premise / whatever is as follows: (fictional) media corporation showfall media is premiering a new type of liveshow with audience participation! there is a Hero, who the audience has to guide through different rooms and puzzles that pay hommage to old point-and-click escape room games and the saw movies among other things. and it is hilarious! however, something seems to be wrong with the transmission, it glitches out at times and the characters act strange. the fourth wall seems more fragile with each passing minute of the show.

ranboo and their crew made a really cool meta commentary on what it is like to be a "content creator" (god i hate that word sm). if you share your life online, where exatly is the line between "show" and "reality"? are your decisions really your own? what happens to you when the show ends?

he got quite a few of his fellow streamers and friends to star on the show, and even though i'm only tangentially familiar w most of them, the points genloss was making came across. everything that "ruined the immersion" was very much intentional. like, ranboo was 16/17ish when they started on yt and twitch, and they're 19 now. that is BONKERS to me. i'm so fucking proud of this guy, he made a really cool, impactful thing and i hope there'll be more of this series.

okay i rambled a Lot. hopefully that clears up some stuff! if you want to watch the show, the vods of all three shows are available on twitch.tv/ranboolive and also on yt on the ranboovods channel. it's about 6 hours total :D triggerwarnings include gore, unreality, probably some more i cant remember right now, just a lot of psychological horror fuckery.

Okie so one of my current interests is a game called five nights at Freddy’s(fnaf)!! I’ve liked this game series for a long time, it’s honestly one of the longest fandoms that I’ve been in!! Plus fnaf has also been a thing that I’ve liked for so long, I honestly don’t think that I’ll ever stop loving it cause it’s basically apart of my childhood and it’s still something that I love. But anyways, recently a teaser trailer for the movie came out and oh my godddd!!! It looks so good, I’m so bloody excited for the movie!! It’s been in the works for so long and now that we got a teaser trailer AND it’s coming out this year?! AAAHHHHHHH I’m kicking and screaming!!! And and, today a gameplay trailer was released for the new fnaf security breach dlc called ruin and ohhhhhhhh it looks so good as well!!! The design and atmosphere of the game is great, I can’t wait when it comes out so that I can watch gameplay of it!!! And and, I might be able to play it too since my older brother is gonna buy it when it comes out so yayyyyy!!

Okie okie, so my next interest is another video which is Resident Evil 4 remake(re4 remake) and ohhhhhhhh it’s such a bloody pretty game!! The graphics and gameplay is amazingggg!! And and the characters are so pretty too!! My favorite characters from the game are Leon, Ashely, and Luis- and you can call me a simp but I would gladly marry those three because god damn do they look so so pretty and beautiful!! I’m not too far into the game since I’m only watching two friends stream and play it but I’m currently rewatching their stream vods to refresh my memory. But ahhhhhhh the game is so gorgeous and everything about it is so great!! Asmskachkasjkwchajl and and the merchant in re4 remake, aaahhhhhhhh- I like wanna be his friend so bad!! I wanna give him a big ol’ hug each time I see him!! Currently I can’t play it since it’s on the newer gen consoles but whenever I can I’ll definitely 100% play it!!

Finally, my last current interest is an anime called Trigun!! I only recently got into it but ohhhh myyyy godddd does that anime have a grip on me!! The only reason I got into it was because I kept seeing a bunch of TikTok edits of the reboot version of the show which is called Trigun Stampede(I’ll refer to it as TriStamp) so I caved in and I started to watch it and I don’t regret my decision. I was not disappointed!! I loved the characters, the animation, the story- I just loved everything about it!! Then after I finished watching TriStamp a few weeks later I decided why not and I watched the og Trigun. And ohhhhhh myyyyy goddddd, my love for the show grew ten times more!! It was the same show and the same characters but just something about it was so different!!! I just loved it so much!! And and I also watch the movie as well(called Trigun: Badlands Rumble) because I just needed more content!! I’m genuinely so hooked with this anime, the brain rot I have of it is unreal. I recently got two funko pops of my two favorite characters from the anime and I plan to get the rest of the characters but I like wanna get more merch lol xddd Last weekend I saw two figures of two characters from Trigun, I didn’t get them and I regret not buying them but hopefully this weekend me and my brothers will go to the same mall and hopefully, hopefully they’ll still be there that way I can buy them!! There’s also gonna be a TriStamp figure and I want it so baddddd, and and there’s a Trigun and Trigun Maximum deluxe edition manga!! Shubsjjcknskhwkmkfnrk I wanna buy that tooooo!! I’m hoping I’ll be able to get both of these things sometime in the future(maybe even for Christmas but I doubt it.) but ahhhhhh just- the brain rot I have is unbelievable and this show just lives rent free in my mind rn
