♋cancers and rage♋

i just did a workout because i had way too much energy today and now im exhausted so im gonna talk abt sumn im very passionate abt while i sit on the floor and recover 😮‍💨

a pretty big observation ive made since ive been into astrology and more specifically since ive been basically reinventing it in my head is that cancers, especially cancer risings/cancer mars, have a VERY misunderstood relationship with anger.

most people ive seen have said something along the lines of cancers are crybabies and they tend to cry when they're angry or just skip anger altogether and go to the depression side of things

personally, im a cancer rising with mars conjunct my ascendant (and ofc saturn in my 1st 💞💞) and i have NEVER found this to be the case, and other cancer risings i know don't follow those stereotypes either

in my experience, imagine a combination of aries energy and capricorn energy, THAT'S what cancers embody when it comes to emotion, especially rage.

i've written an entire newsletter on this and made a whole instagram post for it over at @bluedashercrafts (they're not on tumblr yet but the link takes u to their instagram!!) so i have indeed thought very in depth about this 😮‍💨

cancers can blow up like aries, but they can hold a grudge like capricorn- and if you're me and you have saturn in your 1st (in fixed fire btw 😮‍💨), you'll lean more towards the capricorn side of things in any emotion.

i personally have a massive tendency to bottle up the pain (andrageandfearthatifeeltHEPAINANDR-) until im in a safe environment to get it out (aka being alone with my earbuds in and music blasting) OR until i can't hold it in anymore and the steam gets so high pressured that it blows the lid off the fucking pot- that's when i gotta run away and isolate myself and do a workout ASAP otherwise i will likely hurt myself because there's just So Much Energy

i wanna bring a couple other examples to the table so you get a better idea of what im talkin abt here-

if you're a korn enjoyer like me, you'll know the My Gift To You - Woodstock '99 performance. well the first time i saw that and it got to the "I HATE YOU- CAN'T YOU FEEL TEH PAAIN-" part, my fucking jaw dropped and i almost cried because i could not believe that i was seeing someone else exhibit the same like- Pure Unbridled Rage that i experience all the time- the kind of visceral emotion that literally makes you flail around on stage and then bang the microphone against it like 3+ times because you're trying to come back to reality like jonathan davis was-

THAT is the level I'm talking about- that is the level that is very specific to cancer placements, specifically cancer risings and cancer mars (and his mars is in a cancer degree of scorpio, so there you go)

another more well-known example would be Markiplier! if you've seen his rage game playthroughs, you'll know he throws chairs and mouses and just generally gets pissed to an ungodly extent- he's a cancer rising with his venus and sun in cancer and his mars in leo.

cancers are NOT the signs that break down crying when they experience anger, they are the ones that feel their blood boil more than aries does.

for another good example, my best friend has his mars and venus both in aries, but he's another cancer rising- whenever he gets angry, he gets VERY angry, but he doesn't have the saturn influence that i do, so his anger is much more aries-like (short fuse, louder about it and it doesn't last as long- his is more like the classic interpretation of anger issues), whereas mine is MUCH more capricorn-like (LONG fuse, WAY quieter about it but god forbid it gets loud, and it Can last a very long time)

now you might wanna ask me "why the hell do you keep saying aries and capricorn specifically", well i just explained that im not gonna lie BUT-

cancers are very aries-like because they're the CARDINAL water sign, and cardinal signs are basically just fire-coded whatever element they are- (aries is double fire, capricorn is fire-coded earth, libra is fire-coded air, and cancer is fire-coded water)

and with aries being the fire-coded fire sign, it's essentially capricorn is aries-coded earth- THAT'S why cancers can be VERY similar to aries.

as for capricorn, cancers are the sister sign to capricorn, so they'll share similar traits despite being on opposite sides of the wheel. PLUS, where fire burns itself out very quickly, water doesn't really dry out very quickly especially if there's a lot of it.

this is really just part 1 when it comes to my reinvention of cancers- ill cover their relationship with sex as opposed to scorpios in another post because i really wanna delve more into that BUT!!!

COMING HOME !

coming home was definitely weird. i’ve been away at school for 3 years, and things are so different now. my friends were still back in virginia. my old friends from ohio all had moved on with their lives. hell, one of my good friends from highschool is married with a baby. the hardest part though, my family and i weren’t as close anymore. more specifically my twin brother, tyler. sure, i saw him during the holidays or the random times i came home. but he was occupied with his own life. starting a band, meeting his now fiancé jenna. we were so close growing up. time changes things, it was hard to be so close when we were so far away.

some of my old friends were attending this halloween party. i decided to tag along, meet some new people. see my friends again. i was dressed up as draculara from monster high, i had the wig and all. the party was fun at first, me and my friends all took cute silly pictures and danced around to whatever pop song was blasting on the speakers. we probably looked like goofballs, but it was so much fun. eventually, my friends & i parted ways. they all found different places at the party. leaving me awkwardly standing by the drink table. as i was about to leave a guy came up to me.

“why’d you copy my costume?”, the guy spoke. he was dressed up as a vampire. i could tell he was joking by the grin that grew on his face once he saw my shocked expression.

“i don’t know man.. you just inspired me.”, i laughed softly. the guy looked relieved i went on with the joke rather than cursing him out.

“it’s okay you look 10 times better than me.”, he chuckled slightly. i learned his name was josh. and who knew josh would change my life. we eventually left the party & ate at some random diner and talked forEVER. i learned he plays drums in a band, he really likes aliens and rock music. we had so much in common. and we continued talking for a few weeks. to which led to our relationship. josh was so amazing. he’d let me wear his t-shirts all the time, take me out on random fun adventures. if we weren’t sleeping over, he’d call me every night. and text in the morning. josh would even try to give me drum lessons. which would only end in us making out. josh was the most amazing guy on the planet.

however, josh would disagree with my opinion. to him, the best guy on the planet was his best friend, tyler. josh ADORED tyler. and from what josh told me, he seemed pretty cool. our schedules finally lined up, and josh was taking me to finally meet tyler for lunch. and he was ecstatic.

“i can’t believe my two favorite people are going to be in the same room!”, josh smiled, opening the car door for me to get out.

“you’re so cute.”, i gave him a quick hug. resting my head on his chest for a second. then we walked in the restaurant. it was a cute little place with rustic farm decor surrounding it. i was admiring the decor before josh spoke,

“tyler, this is my girlfriend y/n.”, my face dropped when i saw tyler. it was MY twin brother tyler. i know we weren’t identical twins but did josh never notice the similarities? we were both unsure how to approach the situation.

“uh.. do you guys know each other. is she like your ex or something?”, josh asked picking up on the tension.

“worse, she’s my sister.”, tyler finally spoke. i let out a breathy exhale. the mood instantly dropped. the whole table was quiet the rest of the afternoon. josh would try his best to make conversation. and i engaged, but tyler was silent. i had no idea why he was so tense. sure, it’s awkward. but i didn’t understand why he seemed so upset.

finally, we finished up but as we were walking out, tyler pulled me aside.

“are you seriously dating him y/n?”, tyler asked. the most he’s said all afternoon.

“yeah..?”, i said hesitantly, unsure what he was getting at. tyler scoffed and looked away before speaking again.

“you could’ve picked ANYONE ELSE Y/N.. instead you pick MY best friend.”

“it wasn’t intentional.”, i was shocked by tyler’s behavior. i didn’t expect him to react to everything like this.

“right yeah you didn’t know, because YOU can never do no wrong. perfect y/-“

“shut the hell up tyler!”, i shouted. i had enough of his behavior. this was all coming out of no where, and it was unjustified.

“you’re the one who had to take away MY best friend. i haven’t seen him in weeks thanks to you!”, tyler yelled right back. i chuckled dryly.

“you know, you can be such an asshole tyler. grow. up.”, and with that i walked back to the car, not even bothering to wait for josh to open up the door for me like he normally does. i was so frustrated, i didn’t understand why tyler was so mad about the situation. it was all emotionally draining. the ride back was silent, as josh pulled into my apartment complex he finally broke the silence.

“i’m really sorry y/n.”, josh said sincerely. i took a deep breath. it wasn’t josh’s fault for tyler’s actions. i was still angry, and a little upset josh never put two and two together.

“how did you not know josh?”, i snapped. it wasn’t intentional. but i was feeling so many different emotions right now, none of them good. as josh scrambled up an answer, i was already slamming the car door.

of course, the next day i was having dinner with my parents.. and tyler. josh texted me per usual. he felt really guilty about everything. i know it was never his intentions to hurt anyone. if anything, he was so happy for his two favorite people to see each other. he really was clueless. i was going to go over to his place.. right after i survive this dinner date. it was fine at first. my parents and i making small talk. tyler was quiet. only shooting daggers my way every so often. but those were easy to ignore.

“so what have you been up to this week?”, my mom asked cheerfully.

“yeah besides sleeping with my best friend.”, tyler chimed in. i rolled my eyes.

“i didn’t know my boyfriend was your best friend.”, i replied. before i could finish replying to our mom, tyler spoke up again.

“why couldn’t you date anyone else?”

“why do you care so much?”

“because you’re ruining things y/n!”, tyler raised his voice. which earned parental glares from both of our parents.

“maybe josh doesn’t like you as much as you think tyler!”, i yelled back. tyler’s face dropped. even i was surprised by what i said. i know that was a messed up thing to say. i guess it hurt more than i realized because tyler stormed up and out of the house. i didn’t even bother to listen to my parents lectures, i ran out of the house to apologize to tyler.

“tyler listen i-“

“break up with him.”, tyler cut me off.

“what?”, i exclaimed. now this was crazy.

“things have been so different since you guys got together.. and especially since now i know he’s dating MY sister. it makes things complicated.”, tyler looked at me. my eyes were filled with tears. josh was so amazing, he has such a good heart. and he treated me so well. i couldn’t imagine hurting him. but tyler was my brother. i didn’t want to let him down.

“i’m sorry y/n.”, i walked away and got in my car. this wasn’t fair. i didn’t understand why’d i have to sacrifice my boyfriend to get my brother back. none of this made sense. nonetheless, i drove to josh’s house. unsure on what i was going to say to him.

Those who were there when the old texts were written might remember a little toon I animated for a cakestation animation contest. Well this is the curtain call! The final one was announced and I decided to participate. For most, the deadline was the 17th. But because of my schedule I only had until the 15th. So here's the deal. I FAILED. Completely didn't even animate the prompt oops. Truth is, I did end up with some cool segments and maybe something of a concept/pitch? Its about this guy named Icarus who goes on a WACKY adventure!!! Keep in mind this is literally not finished so do not expect the world, just thought I'd share what work I did get done. Interjection 1: Here, Icarus would have crashed into a soldier before starting this big blast of choreography! Interjection 2: Exploding the cannon would have created a big biggg hole for icarus to jump into. They would find themselves in a hallway where a SUPER AXE SOLDIER would try once more to stop them. Interjection 3: After taking out that brainiac, Icarus would land one final drop kick sending him flying out of the hall and into the bomb room. There the PROMPT WOULD FINALLY BE MET. Icarus walks forward slowly before realizing !!! the person who started the nuke timer is HIS FUTURE SELF??? They would have absolutely boxed, but I ran out of time. Only have a few quick exchanges. Conclusion- So yeah, nothing much. I really appreciate you taking the time to watch! Expect more (and finished) cartoons in the future.

Look, the music from My School President hooked me, I watched the concert, and then found so many amazing Thai artists from there. Proxie is one of them.

10. 5 Seconds of Summer - Teeth

The art teacher at the kindergarten I taught at loved this song. Every time we had to stay late to do prep work, we'd blast it at full volume. I think it has also been used as a fan edit favourite for almost every single romantic pairing ever.

HIIII <3 Ive been sooo good actually! this years been treating me v well :3

I started dating my lovely partner and traveling a lot more to see them (were long distance but only by about 5 hours, just enough to be annoyingly hard to see eachother) and Im sooo happy. I never thought I would fall in love again and its a way different relationship than Ive ever had before but its been absolutely lovely, they are the cutest ever and make me feel so special and bring even more joy to my already good life every day ^--^

I also got a job in the past few months! Im a barista at a local small business coffee shop and I couldnt love it more <3 Im such good friends with my coworkers and adored by my bosses and its really really helped with healing that pandemic anxiety/alienation and made me feel competent again LMAO

I started getting more active in my main fandom and got a bit of a following there so I logged into that account on mobile instead of this one so its sooo much harder to be casually as active on this blog but I MISSS ITTTT I miss u and all my lovely mutuals here we all had such a blast :(( I wish tumblr mobile would let you switch between mains easily I want to have my current hyperfixation and my old mutuals too BOOOO </3 how have u been how has 2023 been treating u so far!!

Friend B: i will never have anything negative to say about her. shes literally in the top three list of people i love. shes the reason im still here. shes my day oner frfr. im so glad she pointed out my bag that one day two years ago, because idk where i’d be if i wasnt her friend. being friends with her has brought me so many other people, so much of my personal development, and in general shes just amazing. not to mention shes so pretty. she makes school actually bearable. in the morning i’ll be pissed off about waking up and she’ll pick a crane fly off the wall or smth and my mood is immediately lifted. i love her with my whole heart

Friend C: oh boy where do i start

the main subject of this rant blog. every other rant on this blog is about him. i will admit that there was a time i liked him. but that was before we even knew each other. it all started going wrong when we became friends.

i admired them because in my eyes they seemed cool. we shared similar “alternative” interests, and they had so many stories to share. but now? i wish i could stop myself from being their friend. i hate their guts, i admit that, but maybe theres a different universe out there where i could like them. where they didnt hug me non consensually, or verbally attacked me as a “joke” (because of how much they love me 🥺), or made sexual jokes about me, or would ask repeatedly for things instead of accepting i said no, or lied pathologically, or did anything of the sort. but thats not this universe, and so in this one i can have and express that i dont like them and theyre a terrible human being. i hope you burn, but i also used to like you.

Friend D: i admired them alongside C. ironic how admiring people from afar caused them to be terrible people. i hadnt noticed D’s red flags until a couple weeks ago, where i was properly educated, and now im pissed off. theyre scum to me. not in degrading way, theyre a genuine terrible human being. which is such a pity since they seemed like such a reasonable person. did not seem like the typa person to do these typa things (i have a rant here explaining). oh well, ill live. i barely talked to them anyways. theyll stick to thinking theyre not the problem, and ill stick to ranting about them in my tumblr posts.

Friend E: blast from the past wowoowowowowowiw

i was close to them like last year summer, but dropped them ages ago this year. i had my reasons, and obviously made sure that i told them my reasons instead of just leaving because i knew that was the right thing. tbh? idr what half of those reasons were. im sure most were reasonable, but also i was extremely petty back then. nowadays i dont rlly care for them. im neutral. like if they chatted to me i would be fine with it and chat back, but i dont wanna be their friend. and its fine because they understand that and dont wanna be mine either. its the first breakup (friend breakup) ive had that ends with communication instead of leaving on read.

Friend F: yippee some positive sprinkle in yo life! i dont talk to her often but shes so cool and admirable as a human being and generally really bubbly and fun. shes the reason i ever found out im autistic! which thank you for that. they dropped D for their mental health and that’s soooo admirable and respectable of them. i admire them from afar and wish we talked more. even if we arent in the same friend group anymore, i still think theyre neat!

sorry for responding to this late Aki T^T been busy these days n my activity on tumblr hasn't been the greatest cause i've moved to ao3 - but I hope you're doing well 🤍  I have to be dedicated tbh - i'm in one of the top institutes n everyone here is amazing in their own feat plus competition for getting the best grade. Only on getting the best grade can you move to another better institution to study, so getting the best out of what you can get. it's sad, yes but that's how the world works n there's nothing a person can do abt it except play by the rules :< I'm glad that you had a blast for your birthday n i wish many more bright days to come even if it's nearly 3 months into the year (there's still 9 more to go) <3

One year in the rearview mirror

On September 12th 2021 I posted my very first k-pop fic. With the encouragement and editing help of my favorite writer @worldsover “Castle of A Thousand Spiders” became the start of my official Tumblr writing career. A journey which has been an absolute blast from the start and my chance to meet lot’s of talented, like-minded k-pop fans. 

Let’s take a short look back (I promise I won’t make this as long as I had planned out in my head. You all have other things to do in your lives xD)

Okay, to be honest, you now tapped the “Read more” line and I, uhm, have no clue what to do now. Like, do I just talk about my accomplishments? My development? Numbers and stats? All those amazing writers, editors, friends I met and made along the way? Do I just give big shout outs to you, the reader, who made this possible? Do I just post the BIG fic I have (almost) ready for you?

1) YEAAAAAHHHHHH LEONA WOOOOOO Love all of your leona fics, they are so, so good!!! Silly lion man, love him. you write him super well too!!!!! (also tumblr how dare you not give me a notif. /lh) Honestly your leona fics are what got me to actually like his character in the first place- i mean i liked him in book 2 (just not as much as i do now-) but idk they way some of the fandom portrays him- y e a h. 2) Enstars. ive had “come on baby america” stuck im my head for around 5 days now (thanks to my friends on discord- thanks a lot roblox hq.) To be completely honest ive never really been a big fan of rhythm games- at least before twst (i know it’s technically not a rhythm game but like. come on. its 1/3 rhythm game) But i’ve gotten slightly better at rhythm like things thanks to twst so looking forward to enstars!!! also cant wait to get attached to the characters, i know like literally nothing about them-

3) Yes okay thanks for pointing out the crossed out demon on Yu’s intro sheet!! Both of his parents are demons, (mother((Emiriko)) is a water demon, basically demons specifically adapted to living both on water and on land. father((Luka)) is a fire demon, adapted to living in lava and extremely hot places.) so it doesn’t really make sense for him not to be one. Instead, he uses potions (specifically made to not leave a magic scent/residue on the user) To hide his demon appearance, mainly his horns and tail, since its harder to hide those, however said potions do hide the rest of his demon features really well! (fangs, ears((which are normally like small elf ears and tipped in dark gray and black.)), etc.) i could talk all day about my boy, but for now im just gonna leave you with this.

(leona fic goes brr)

1 - I'M GLAD YOU ENJOYED THE LEONA FIC !! it was also such a blast for me to write >:DD and that's...that's actually really touching :')) i'm kinda surprised that you fell for leona because of my fics and ahh saying that makes it sound unreal again-

but i can understand why some ppl choose to portray leona as someone who's just plain mean and lazy. bc that's exactly how he comes off. even after his overblot, he doesn't quite get the same wake up call that the others got. he didn't get the scolding like riddle, he didn't get the fact that his friends would always be there like azul did, and he most certainly didn't get the same emotional release that jamil. chapter 2's writing isn't the best twst writing out there, so it's easy to dismiss his character as just what he appears as. his flashback does give us some background on why he puts up such a mean and lazy front despite having potential, but well...some creators might prefer for him just to be that. i'm not here to critique them on how they portray him but it does make me kinda :') when i see that ppl don't like leona as much bc of stuff they've read around the fandom or bc they judge him too quick. n e ways enough abt leona we alr know how whipped i am for him-

hi it's been a while since ive posted some hcs bc uni has been kicking my a$$! luckily i only have a few papers to tidy up and im done. here r some hcs for each obey me character that ive accumulated over the past few months wink wonk

most are random but some constants you'll find are what i think they smell like, languages they can speak (other than their native (demon/angel) and eng/jp), and music tastes !

lucifer

i have a strong feeling that he showers twice a day: in the morning after waking up and at night before going to bed

his cologne is probably the type that will last in an elevator for like a week after he uses it once. i dont think this mf ever smells like anything other than his cologne

has a secret folder on his phone of semi-nudes and other scandalous pics from when he felt sexy at the time omg

aside from demon language/eng/jp he can speak french and knows latin

listens to classical stuff yea but he also listens to diavolos mixtapes (re: diavolo's section)

not a fan of sweets but will eat sweet things when craving

really bland sense of humor...borderline cringey 😭✋🏻

mammon

has gone to google images and searched for "inspirational quotes tumblr" "gold aesthetic tumblr" & "relatable crush post tumblr" then reposts it onto his socials or just taps thru them and giggles bc he relates

his cologne doesnt last as long as lucifers and probably smells common. he has to reapply a lot but it's a people pleasing smell. it's cheaper hence the constant reapplying

he probably does have an expensive bottle but is the type to totally overspray...eek

he is canonically a car guy 🥲 and probably tells the one in his room good morning & good night + kisses the hood every once in a while. has tons of car magazines

he doesnt really speak other languages but has attempted to learn spanish before

listens to whatever is on the radio. doesnt rly stan anyone but he eventually will listen to mc's playlist and mc's playlist ONLY

lurks on mc's socials ALL THE TIMEEEE like he will rewatch ur stories and scroll thru ur feed and overanalyze ur tweets/rts or blog posts. if ur mc isnt the type to use sns much he still googles ur name all the damn time just to find any sites u might be on fjdjdjdjskks

probably streams on whatever youtube or twitch devildom site equivalent there is, but only has like 40 or so followers. which he is okay with!

until he sees someone else who gets more attention than him. then the envy starts kicking in bad. especially if they suck 🧍🏻‍♀️

classic gamer boy smell. you know, sweat, tears, must, and (sometimes) axe deodorant. lucifer has to do a scent check before he goes out to any event & lets him use his cologne. how sweet!

kpop stan!! more girl groups than anything and his ults are probably GIRLS GENERATION, wonder girls, twice, loona, & red velvet

cried when ioi disbanded and refused to leave his room. the only thing u could hear was downpour on loop at full blast

as for languages he too knows french, spanish, italian, etc. in general, if it's a romance language he knows it!

smells like ur typical athlete with undertones of wet wipes. he carries them around bc he likes to clean his hands before he eats & is prepared for when theres no sink nearby

he can drive and he drives really well. no rough turns, parallel parks perfectly, and never has problems with merging

driving with beel is probably really soothing. left hand is steering the other is gripping ur thigh 😫

dont think hes really fluent in any other language but hes probably semi fluent in korean because levi wanted beel to help him out

luke is probably learning german bc of simeon, though he'd like to learn more of the dead languages just for fun

Solarpunk Warrior!

While Cutie Honey was the first Warrior, the sub-category was codified by Sailor Moon. These girls transform to fight, from stopping local punks to saving the world.

Often times found in color-coded teams, Warrior Magical Girls tend to have a specific brand of power, be it heart, singing, or sword. They almost always have a weapon, although that term is used loosely since it ranges from bow to bell. Outfits tend to be more complicated than those in other genres, but some of that may be more based on the eras of popularity and advancement in art techniques than ideal designs, although some girls don’t change their outfit at all.

Solarpunk, the architecture & fashion aesthetic, somewhere between Art Nouveau and Afrofuturism, an idealized future where society blends nature with modern convenience for ultimate sustainability. Solar panels and stained glass, grass walls and accessible architecture. More inspiration below the cut.

I’m only looking for a visual character design, something as simple as a single fullish-body picture, but you are more than welcome to go as wild as you want with trinkets, backstory, information, alt outfits, all that good stuff. Also I say girl but girl boy nb other as long as it’s a magical humanoid gender be damned, thumbs up. (Also nothing 18+ please. Your characters can be, just not your art for this)

How about a girl whose outfit doesn’t change when she fights with the magical weapon she summons, but does have a mark on her back that sprouts stained glass wings?
