you will not be confined forever.

because vastness exists - vastness beyond your comprehension in such a manner that talking about it does not make sense - talking about it is reducing it.

this vastness is not a religion or a deity of any kind, it is not defined by matter or the four forces either - it is simply an accumulation of possibilities in the simplest way my language can define it. and it is everything else.

you are a miracle of "emergence", a beautiful phenomenon that makes many un-alive things become an alive, conscious, special being. and you are, SPECIAL. not because the person typing these words are thinking through empathetic patterns of behavior encoded in their genes because it was naturally selected for, but because you are literally and statistically one-of-a-kind.

and anything you look at is as well.

with you gone, everything would continue existing, but without your consciousness in it.

you wouldn't get to judge beauty or have experiences. i can't say if it matters, because that would be a weird thing to say in terms of humanity's most recent knowledge about the way things are. things matter because we say they do. we arbitrarily (or genetically) choose certain things to be meaningful, like patterns, and others to be not.

you tug at your hair, observe yourself in third person to see how you are seen because you need and deserve love and validation.

at least in my opinion you do.

do you not deserve love, validation, good food, happy memories? why not?

i would say, you're a conscious being. you, with no other extra words attached to this statement, don't matter to the sun, Sirius, the person thinking of water pressure somewhere in the world. that doesn't endow you with anything, but it gives you a choice:

will you look at your surroundings and decide that you don't matter, therefore you are undeserving of basic human necessities; or will you say "you don't get to define the way i see the world." to the "outside" and decide that you do matter, just because you have the ability to carve yourself a mind and a world in which you do.

it is not bending logic. it's just a peaceful kind of rebellion.

it is smiling even though your brain is understimulated for a very, very long time. it is forcing yourself to do the thing you used to love in a depressive episode. it is a conversation with yourself that is ongoing, where you are no longer hateful towards yourself. you are triumphant even in your predicaments because you appreciate the thing that you are. no justifying adjectives needed. the thing that you are.

so the heavens are vast, your neurons too. wherever you look, you can find equal amounts of beauty, pain, ridicule, warmth, absurdity, comfort, ugliness, boredom, worthlessness. because it is your mind that sees.

and you know what, i love you. whether you are conforming, performing, concealing, relaxing... anything. just because.
