Post-reunion, the Revenge is docked for business, and Black Pete is in the local pub telling anyone who’ll listen about the time he survived being marooned.

The thing is, Pete’s been telling this story for months while they were all working at Spanish Jackie’s. Each time, he embellishes a little more. Now, Black Pete claims they were stranded for several weeks, endured brutal rain and sun, that he himself considered cannibalism but he endured by gnawing the leather of his own shoes, that he actually got the rescue boat (and Stede) by swimming through shark-and-eel-and-jellyfish infested waters—it just goes on.

His crew, having had to listen to this nonsense for over three months, is groaning and interjecting, trying to correct Pete when he gets out of hand.

Then Izzy, halfway to drunk at the bar, declares it’s ALL true. He should know! He’s the one that marooned them!

The crowd loses their minds. The Izzy Hands just confirmed this dude starved for weeks on a desert island before single-handedly rescuing his crew from certain death. Black Pete is over the moon. There’ll be no living with him after this.
