As a Jensen fan, I can confirm there are plenty of Jensen blogs discussing all kinds of things. But if you only follow or check tags, then you're probably only going to find people who tag things "jensen ackles". Looking at my dash, a lot of people use different tags for their Jensen content (eg "ja" or in-jokes) or they don't tag their posts at all.

Plus, as a multishipper, I also follow a lot of Jensen-leaning destiel blogs who talk about Jensen a lot, and if you hate destiel, like most people on this side of the fandom do, you'll probably never follow or even see those either.

Your data is skewed if you only go by tags and the stereotype is definitely wrong, in my experience. No "super secret jensen blogs" required to see that, just a bigger, more varied fandom bubble.

Well, now that's just confusing. If you don't tag fun/positive Jensen stuff as Jensen Ackles, how are others supposed to find it through all the objectifying posts? How else am I (or that anon, since I mentioned I don't follow Jensen's tags), supposed to find decent Jensen blogs without using the tags? Seems odd to me. Maybe they should start tagging more stuff so that the extreme fans don't take over the tag.

Cons are very lucrative and many of them go by a script. So yeah, a lot of public J/M interaction is for show. And work-related. Now Jensen saying Destiel doesn't exist is absolutely true. He meant that lol. But he still has a job to do and conventions are part of that. Unfortunately, throwing an occasional bone to insane people to keep them from lashing out via death threats and homophobia accusations (that almost messed up his image) is part of that job.

When he showed him his underwear he was in the middle of a breakdown after seeing hellers accusing him for months and months after he said destiel does not exist during a con. Then after this, they got trending, let's show JA some love!! Fuck psychopaths. Messed his head up to the point of having a breakdown.

So anything positive in regard to cockles or destiel coming from Jensen is "pretentious" or "coerced" but all the negative things are him speaking his truth? And cons are scripted? That must be a lot of work ,

Its funny to me that some are speculating the "friend" Misha is talking about on the podcast is JA when he's gotten more vocal about politics and social issues over th last few years, openly supports the queer community and has a production company that has representation as one of its tenets, all the other positive strides he's made, plus how he and M and DA are close and have done political stuff together, is really confusing me why some people's minds are going to him instead of the obvious.

i have an unpopular opinion. maybe we should stop asking about deancas to any of the guys since every possible answer will create a chaos in this fandom. maybe if the fandom is not open to hear different opinions about the topic they should stop asking about it. and maybe, just maybe, jensen knows his character that he played for 15 years way better than us and knows what he is doing. i’m so tired of seeing JA or misha - but especially jensen - receive hate just because they sometimes don’t say what people want to hear. i would rather have them stay silent and not debate destiel than create a whole chaos and battle within the fandom. and also maybe don’t ask about character dynamics to an actor who is nowhere involved with the dynamic (jared). sorry for my rant, i’m just so tired of seeing JA receive hate and i’m so tired of the drama 😑

I agree. Being in this fandom is exhausting, like a rollercoaster. When there's something positive, this fandom is amazing, I think of the Deancas wedding, or the recent Dee's post promoting Misha's book. Everybody shares and creates memes and art and reblogs and comments and chat and the positivity feedback is amazing.

The problem is that that also happens when something negative happens. The negativity feedback drains everybody's energy and it's like a resonance chamber where the grief grows and grows leading to hate.

And it happens in every side of the fandom. One day Jensen is "Heller king", the next day he's an "homophobe". Today he's "Wincest king", tomorrow he's a "poisonous snake". People need to chill out, take a break from SM, and if you are afraid of being disappointed and let down once again, then don't ask questions about your ship or whatever it's your fan fixation.

It's been only almost a year since the finale. Let Jensen and Misha take a break, and maybe in a few years they'll come to terms with an answer, maybe not the one everybody wants, but the one everybody would agree and feel satisfied.

Does anyone else get really anxious over something they have no control over? I'm specifically talking about the reaction to the Supernatural finale.

Tldr; Everyone's reaction to the finale is making me feel guilty and anxious for liking it, mostly cause people are being dicks.

(Warning I'm a bit blunt, and a bit of a dick here)I'm gonna do my usual point form, this is just based on what I've seen and I wanna try seeing if getting off my chest makes me feel better.

1. Reviews-So, I watched the finale the Friday after it aired, and if you read my review you'll know I enjoyed it. I mean, sure it felt a little rushed, and let's not talk about old man Sam's wig but I overall liked it. So, I went looking for fanart, other people's views, and possible fanfiction. You know, like the civil people we all are. Imagine my surprise when 90% of EVERYTHING I saw was "it was shit", "deactivate your account", "fire the writer". This is where my anxiety started, and it's been making me feel sick. So this is an attempt to clear my head and stop ranting to my parents.

2. Cast opinion- Now going into it, I was under the impression all the cast and crew were on bored with it but I recently saw that Ackles was "uneasy" about it. And to me that's sad, he spent 15 years on it. Alot of people have been using this interview to back their hate of the episode, but he didn't say what he didn't like about it. From what I've seen of their relationship with the writers, if it was a huge thing, I'm sure there would've been a compromise. I've also seen people saying Misha didn't like it, but I don't see that. At the very least he was able to enjoy the acting, but I don't think he would've watched it with his kids if he didn't like it.

3. Ackles's interview-In line with the Ackles thing, I've seen people say Kripke Gaslit him, and they MADE him do the ending. But from what I remember when I read the interview, alot of what he said was paraphrased. So it may not have gone down exactly like that. He also says he's still proud of it (I think I read that right). I'll link the original interview in this post.

4.Be nice-And if he really didn't like it, okay. If he really hates it, okay. But that is no excuse for everyone else to act like whiny children. Explain why you didn't like it, phrase it politely. So what If Destiel didn't go canon, or Sam's wife wasn't confirmed to be Eileen, maybe your favorite character wasn't there. But this jas always been about the love of the brothers, not their relationships, and they made this in the middle of a damn quarantine.

5.Your opinion-You're welcome to feel however you want about the episode, and I know the anxiety it's causing me is my own problem. I'm not... can't say that cause it's not entirely true. I'm not saying people's opinions, and people's dislike, are causing me anxiety, it's how they're showing it. You can't look up Supernatural without being bombarded by hate, much less open a comment section. I've been going through and leaving positive comments on some supernatural cw posts.

6. Almost forgot- If you really didn't like the ending, stop whining and write your own. That's something Supernatural has always been open to. Dean literally says, in fan fiction, "I have my version, you have yours." When Maeve asks if it's good even though it doesn't match how he sees it.

Anyways, like I said, this was more for me.

So, let's try being a little positive. Reblog or comment with something you liked OR a polite negative review with what made you dislike it. Dick's will not be tolerated, don't be the reason I have to figure out how to delete comments.

Note: It's not the first time I've been anxious over something I can't control, it happens quite a bit when there's a mass negative reaction to something I liked. But this is the worst it's ever been, it's never made me feel nauseous before. Although the nausea could also be cause I haven't been eating or sleeping right...

Hey! It's me with the "confession" sorry to use you like a sound board. I used to be someone who was really active in both the Destiel fandom and on your blog, but sometime at the beginning of last year i started reading fic and interacting with another fandom i started to really like, in doing so though my brain started to convince me that because i haven't read a fic or interacted with anything super that, i hated it, and the people i so often spoke with. Covid hit not long after, that combined with other things made me spiral...Hard. i had to take a step back, to realize this borderline obsession i had was ruining my mental health, as well as my enjoyment of fandom and fic in general. When super was announcing its final i cried, when the final episode aired even more so. But, strangely, i wasn't as bothered as i was convincing myself to be, in a way it set my mindset free. At the beginning of this year i was able to finally start reading fics and enjoying other fandoms! Able to start having fun where previous it was just stress. I'm able to flow between spaces like water and I've never been happier. We also got a pair of rescue kittens last month! I love them very much and seeing them grow makes me genuinely happy, and now i can join them. I'm sorry to do this on anon and for this message in general but as someone who actually helped me get here i thought you should know, seven years of super was enough, four years of your blog was not, but it's time for me to go. Thank you for everything, good luck on your book! I know you'll do great. Ek sien jou weer, ja? Totsiens.

ahh anon i totally understand <3 ive been stepping back from spn a lot lately too, so i get it - and not just because it's ended - for me fandom has become less of a positive space (not anybody's fault, it's just how i've been treating it etc) and i really commend you being able to realize you needed to take a few steps back. i'll very much miss you around but completely understand and hope that life brings you a lot of joy and light!! don't be afraid to pop back in and say hi every now and again if you want to ;)

The Profund Bond "in pause" and the low grace

There were two things about episode 1 that caught my attention bc I couldn't figured out what was going on there. One is the appearance of Nick and the other is Cas low grace.

I just gonna analyze the second one.... Bc the first one needs a little more information.

The profund bond as an energy link between Dean and Cas's souls

Ok... Maybe this sounds a little crazy, but I wanted to imagine this energy loop between them. And they feed each other with this energy (love, faith, hope, etc) They're connected trough this profund bond all the time.

And the most blantant example of this was this scene...

How deep and unbreakable is this bond, that make me think about a "pause" when they are apart from each other by possession or death.

This "energy" is paused when they are apart, or maybe absent, and this could be translated to the detriment of grace in Cas. Affecting his power. Is not all the cause of it, but i truly believe is a big part, huge part, of the cause. And it would explain what we are seeing this season.

Ok again, Destiel is not all the explanation for this, but it plays a very important role.

Remember how depressed was Cas when he lost Dean as a demon? And nobody knew where he was?

Ok, you could say that here Cas was low of grace for other reasons, he was like becoming a human. But that wasn't all the explanation. Even with his grace drained, or using other's angel grace, he could be just a human. But why is he dying? Why is he in this shape? It has no sense! Loosing the grace doesn't mean the angel must die. So, he was low of grace but also, he was with the bond in pause. I mean, he didn't know where Dean was, and how he said in this gif (please, try to not be distracted by Misha in that position... 🤣) But yes... He misses Dean, Dean longing, Dean's energy, Dean's bond, Dean's soul. That shows us how deep is their connection.

Now, in this season, the first episode showed us this points:

Cas didn't notice the amount of demons in the bar.

He was beaten up as if he wasn't an angel.

He couldn't heal himself, and he didn't heal Jack and Sam.

Why the writers would show us with details that Jack and Sam still were wounded and hurted? Even Sam used a cold bottle to lowered the inflammation on his forehead in front of Cas! I mean... With an angel in the bunker and everybody is hurt?? It has no sense more than Cas is low in grace again, bc the bond is in pause again. He lost Dean again!

These are specific details written by Dabb so that the audience will see that Cas is weakened in grace.

You could say:

But when Metatron took his grace, he recovered just half of it, and never was the same. He was loosing grace since then.

But pals... We were awared that any angel can regenerate his grace! Is written! Why Cas wouldn't do that too?

And you could say too:

But now Heaven is with lack of angel, so they are with energetic crisis.

But guys... Why is Jo still healing people? Is she different from Cas? No. Cas should have the same faculties than she has. Still he doesn't... So what is happening with our Cas?

The only explanation is a Destiel one, again subtext my friends, but is so blantant...

And we have a lot of examples coming from Dean in absence of Cas... Should I explain to you?

Looking desperately for his angel in Purgatory, or when He was possessed by Lucifer, or when he was out for a couple of days... And when he was dead... Well...

And then this scene to conclude...

Wow, just wow... I was shocked. Look how emotional and human is Cas. He's speaking Dean's word to encourage Jack and encourage himself. If this isn't love... Then what?

So yes... Love is their weakness... But is also their strength. A lesson that both of them will have to learn (maybe in this season?? Please yes! 🙏🙏)

I kinda thought Jensen played it beautifully today. All he had to do was 'show' his underwear and be all over the place there by missing to have to answer any ? On mixtapes or any destiel questions, wrapping up with a very public J2 hug. Maybe not as drunk as we assume. Very in control our JA.

You could be on to something.  

I’ve gotten a lot of Ask-messages about Jensen being drunk at Jibcon and that has got me thinking ..... Everybody thought Jensen was hammered with liquid courage and there was even a twitter poll asking if Danielle is to be blamed for encouraging Jensen to drink.  But what if Jensen wasn’t really drunk and this is Jensen’s way of controlling everybody by keeping them on edge and off kilter?  Jensen doesn’t act this way in any of the Creation conventions or other events.  A lot of Jared/Jensen fans kind of dread the Rome convention because either Jared gets hurt (brokenish shoulder) or something terrible happens (his sister-in-law nearly died, then he nearly died), or Jensen acts very out of character.  We are so used to Jensen being a consummate professional that his OOC behavior at Jibcon leaves more than a few fans shook. 

Misha was unusually subdued, for him. In my opinion Jensen was asserting his alpha dog position.  Normally Misha doesn’t give a shit but unlike their last year’s panel when Jensen was checked out, Jensen did a 180 this year and dominated their panel and kept Misha off balance.  A lot of things didn’t go Misha’s way in the last 11 months (or even in the last 5 years) and in front of the unpredictable Jensen, Misha kept things closer to the vest.

Okay! So we're always getting "Jensen doesn't like Destiel and said it wasn't real one time years ago" thrown in our faces by bitter no-lifes who can't just let other people enjoy things. So I thought it'd be fun to compile a list of all the times Jensen talked positively about Dean and Cas's relationship!

Right now it's just a list of things I remember from being in this fandom since 2011. Eventually I will add links to sources, video sources wherever possible. Watch this space!

Talking about Dean and Cas's reunion and how he hopes we'll get to see it someday. It would be a big hug and then "can we talk about that good-bye a little bit?"

DESTIEL AND COCKLES RANT

THIS IS A RANT ON ALL THINGS DESTIEL AND COCKLES

PS. I do not know how to make gifs and or use photos yet so feel free to add yours

I have said this before and I will say it again. I have been in this fandom for a month and I ship Destiel and Cockles anyone who has a problem with this then move along and/or if you are an anti and read this, keep your hateful comments to yourself.

That being said, I have read about almost all ships in the fandom but mostly Destiel, Cockles, Wincest, and J2. Through all the reading and discovery, I still have to say I ship Cockles and Destiel more than ever before. However, I have seen some things from the antis that did not sit well with me.

This is going to be a long post so brace yourself and it is mostly about the hate the antis (anti-cockles, anti-wives , and anti-Destiel Shippers spread). Also this is a rant so don’t mind me,

ON DESTIEL

The hate on Destiel is massive. Mostly this is from Bronlies who hate Cas like he is the anti-Christ, and the Wincest shippers.

Now I am not trying to rain on anyone’s parade but come on. Cas is Dean’s best friend. Whether you ship them romantically or not, it is canon that Cas Dean’s best friend. We have seen time and again how miserable Dean is every time Cas dies. Dea has also expressly stated that Cas is his best friend and even said they are better together; all three of them including Sam. He has called him his family. So why the hate? Chuck himself has said that he has rebuilt Cas more times than anyone.

Now, people who believe that it is better to ship Sam and Dean who are literally blood brother but it is not okay to ship Dean and Cas what is wrong with you? Is it okay for someone to fuck their brother and/or be in love with them? I mean come on.

Before I was even a shipper, I always looked forward to episodes that Cas was in. He brought a different dynamic to the show in a positive way. Yes, I love the brothers but Cas is just deifferent and all the sass he brings makes the show, at least to me 10 times better. Sue me.

People saying that JA would never be comfortable with Destine because he is a Christian. I mean, he can call Chuck a dick, call angels dicks, make deals with demons and all other unchristian things but kissing another man is where he draws the line? If he was such a Christian, why does he let another man straddle him on stage or want to kill God?

Someone once said that JA supports wincest. I saw the video and I get what he said is that whatever floats your boat or something like that. So why is it so hard for him when it comes to Destiel? I don’t understand this man. He is a paradox.

 ON COCKLES

I have seen antis, mostly those who ship J2 throw shade at MC saying that JA doesn’t like him, he just tolerates him and everything they do is for PR. I have not once seen anyone say that JP doesn’t like MC. You know why? I believe they view MC as a threat to their J2 ship.

So I stumbledupon this antis blog who had a whole analysis (much like am doing here) on why JA cannot be a couple. Here are some that I remember from the top of my head:

1.     That JA said that he thinks Matt Bomer is attractive.

2.     That JA moved to Austin to be live next to JP.

3.     That JA and MC have nothing in common being that JA plays golf and sings etc and that MC does woodwork, writes poetry and bicycle touring.

4.     That JA is with JP hence no. 2.

5.     That JA does not curse on stage but MC does.

6.     That MC does not take acting seriously but JA does.

Now now now. This beats logic. All the above things I beg to differ with not because I am cockles shipper but it is just common sense.

Being with someone or rather being in love with someone does not mean any of the above things have to be true. Hear me out.

1.     On finding Matt Bomer attractive. I have many celebrity crushes, there are also ordinary people that I find attractive. But then again, I have a boyfriend, who I am in love with; I have been with for six years. But he looks nothing like my celebrity crushes or the ordinary people I find attractive. Does that mean I am not in love with him? No. It means I have eyes and I can appreciate beauty and have a few fantasies but I chose to be with him because I love him. He also has other people he finds attractive that look nothing like me, does that mean he does not love me? I mean come on.

 Oh the most hilarious thing is that the anti said you cannot compare Matt to MC since Matt is way attractive. I mean come on; they may not look alike but they both have dark hair, blue eyes. Seriously people! And MC is so handsome and adorable at the same time. Sometimes I feel like he looks better than JA and JP. Sue me.

 2.     On JA moving to Austin. Lol. This means that he went to live next to his best friend. I mean come on. I have moved to live next to my best friend (bff) who is married. Does that mean I am in love with her? Hell no! But I feel safer knowing that she is there for me.

Also people need to understand, MC and JA could be involved romantically or not (pick your poison) but you don’t need to be next to your lover to love them or be in a relationship with them. Lond distance relationships anyone? They have families and kids and other priorities. Just because you are in a relationship with someone does not necessarily mean you live together or evn in the same area. Distance makes the heart grow fonder and also they are where they are now because of other priorities in their lives. So, living together or in the same town doesn’t make you more or less in love.

3.     On the issue of common interests. This made me laugh so hard. I mean comeon, People who are together do not need to share any interests. The diversity of their interests is probably what attracted them to each other. Also how can you say a poet and a singer have nothing in common? They are artists. MC can write poems that JA can sing. Oh also remember that video MC’s friend DM posted on Twitter where they did the whole bicycle touring in Germany? Uh huh? JA seemed to be interested in that a lot. So..

4.     I could say a lot about JA being with Jp. This J2 being married and their wives being beards is the weirdest thing I have ever seen. Seriously, J2 tinhats have gone ahead to hate of D’s posts and call her names. Telling her to stop pretending that she is JA. It is laughable and not in a nice way, really. Can they just stop? Before I became a cockles shipper I watched J2 videos where they interact be it cons, red carpet moments or even gag reels. It is just different. All I see are two bros; one that is really playful like a little puppy and the other one trying to be the big brother. As for JA and MC, it is different, there are things that JA is comfortable when Mc does that he is not comfortable when JP does them. Neck kisses for a start.

Also most of the J2 tinhats evidence about J2 being real is rarely backed up by visual evidence and if there is any, it is usually from years ago. I am not hating on antis, just stating facts.

6.     On Mc not taking acting seriously. Yeah I can guess why he doesn’t. It is not his only priority unlike JA who has chosen it as a career path. From what I have seen, MC’s priorities include making the world a better place through charities, politics, and oh, he is also a writer. Oh so forgive him if he is not obsessed with acting. Besides JA says that he likes how he acts as Cas because it is not like anything he has seen from other guest stars that have come on the show. I mean not being serious about something does not mean that you are not good at it. Would he have lasted 11 seasons if he was not good at what he does?

There was also hate that JA is only around MC for PR and he actually hates him. There were some photos and gifs so the apparent hate. So, if he cannot stand him, why is there so much evidence of JA going to MC to give some love, Neck kisses, intimate IG posts, face caresses, ass smacks, calling him his baby dadfy, heart eyes, even when they don’t know that they are being filmed?

Also why is it during the Vegascon 2020 all JA did was bring up MC unnecessarily even when no one, absolutely nobody asked him to. Come on! stop the bs and admit that Cockles is the realest ship in the history of ships!!

ON THE WIVES

I swear bitches be crazy. How can you just hat someone for literally nothing? This is mostly from J2 tinhats at other J2 stans who do not ship J2 together romantically. I mean…comeon. You do not need to be a stan for the wives just because they are married to J2 but please stop with the madness.

I recently saw someone comment on various JA posts on IG asking why he is lying to the fans that he is with D when he is with JP. So many rude things have been said about the wives especially D that it breaks my heart.

Seiously? People have gone ahead even to say that she is with JA’s friend SC and that the twins are not JA’s they are SC’s since D and SC are ‘always’ hanging out together. My question is, so D is not supposed to hang out with their friends? And for Chuck’s sake, everyone can see that the twins especially the boy (idk their names, sorry) looks like JA’s twin. I mean come on people.

I believe that they hate D because she says how much she loves MC and that Cas is her favorite character and that they are also bitter that JA chose her and not them. Just my opinion, but what do I know. On JP and G. I don’t know much about them mostly because I do not follow either of them of IG or elsewhere but I have seen hate on G as well.

The antis have gone ahead to say that when JA said that he was hanging out with SC writing songs, that he was lying and that nothing was happening he was just trying to dampen the rumours. MY TWO CENTS ON COCKLES

I know JA gives off mixed actions about MC. But I think it is to confuse people like us, shippers.  He does’t want to too out there so he tries so hard to be mean with his words. But his actions tell a different story. I mean, who gets a boner when their friend straddles them on stage and then goes ahead to post that chest to chest selfie on IG. That is the gayest thing I have ever seen.

Sharing clothes? I mean friends do share clothes but if it is like a daily thing. More than 20 articles of clothing exchanged between each other on various occasions even when they are apart does not make sense to me. And to make matters worse, JA does not deny it. One even had a tag on it. Lol. We are not children, we can see what is going on.

Truth is, JA could post a video of him balls deep in MC and the antis could say that somehow MC manipulated JA to post it for PR.

I could write about this forever but the truth is JA loves MC, and D and V know that they love each other. All their friends know including JP and other castmates. I believe they know it is more than just friends and the antis can’t stand it because they also know it to be true.
