It felt nothing like the push that had driven them to Sundari. There was a Presence. A second sun, like Tatooine's, was burning down on them.

“What is that?” Jango breathed, looking up like he could see through the layers of the Keep to the sky.

“Ba'—” Obi-Wan stopped, a flicker of grief passing through the bond before it was gone. “That is a jetii who wants to be noticed.”

A Star Wars ficlet for @duckprintspress' May Trope Mayhem, about an unnamed Mandalorian and their Force-sensitive foundling! 1.5k words, G, no warnings. Can be seen as a sequel to the Obi-Wan ficlet I wrote for the Stowaway prompt, but also works as a standalone - you can imagine whichever force sensitive kid and mando you like best :)

The foundling was a strange adiik. Much too well spoken for one so young, and with a strange mixture of Mando'a, accented with a mix of Kalevala, Sundari and Concord Dawn; Basic, and some languages the senshaad had never heard the sound of before.

An ik'aad this small shouldn't speak in full sentences in four or more languages, that was strange for a human, wasn't it? Then again, maybe not so human, it's not like they had a scanner on their ship to check. Perhaps that would be the mystery solved, then... But the verd couldn't think of a near-human or really even any species at all that would fit all of the youngling's oddities.

It wasn't just the skill with languages, or the fact that the ad'ika had made their way to them all on their lonesome without getting into trouble or even just getting lost... There were other strange happenings as well.

It took them a while to realize that the adiik was heavily ka'ra-touched - they didn't display any of the usual signs.

Coming from a large clan with many younglings, they had seen a number of ka'ra-touched ade in their life. In their clan, the ade were supervised more heavily so any outbursts wouldn't put them or anyone else in danger, and the surroundings would be child-proofed in special ways, with beskar reinforcing if necessary. Those ade who seemed to be negatively affected by the force would be helped by beskar blockings on their own person, those who were fine were left largely on their own devices until they were old enough to find someone to train what skills they had, be that as a goran, a verd or senshaad, a vhett or any kind of trader or artisan. If they wanted to learn to use their ka'ra powers for their trade, someone would be found to reach them.

Perhaps the system wasn't perfect, but at least they didn't cut off their younglings from the ka'ra and the Manda entirely when they proved troublesome, or chucked them onto some kind of Force sects. In their travels, the senshaad had seen it all - and from the looks of it, this adiik had seen the worst kind of reaction to their powers.

Perhaps that was the reason for their strange control - a trauma, that kept their ka'ra trapped inside?

Because - they didn't make things float uncontrollably, or rattle the furniture with nightmares, short out electronic or magnetic devices, complain of nightmares or get lost in daydreams... No, at first they in fact seemed like an ad that wasn't touched by the ka'ra at all, which made the strange happenings all the stranger.

At first these things didn't seem connected to the adiik. Things that had been broken the day before suddenly being fixed, leaving the senshaad to wonder whether they had only dreamed the incident. The course of the ship changing when they weren't looking, when no-one had been around - except for the adiik, but surely a tiny little ad couldn't have reprogrammed the hyperjump? They didn't even consider the possibility. At their destination, they found the parts they sought for a much better price than expected at their usual source... and later, they heard that at their original destination a collision had occurred that they would have crashed right into. They called it a gift from the Manda and tried to shrug it off.

They weren't quite able to shrug off the next incidents...

When pirates intercepted the ship on their way further away from the core, blaster bolds just wouldn't hit the senshaad and the ad, and they were able to defeat the pirates with little trouble despite the overwhelming numbers of their opponents. Weren't jetiise and dar'jetiise supposedly able to defend from blaster fire in some way? And while the ikaad was much too young to have had jetii training, perhaps it was something intrinsic to ka'ra-touched ade, some sort of survival instinct. Whatever happened - the senshaad knew it hadn't been them, so it could have only been the foundling - an ad who, to their knowledge, had displayed no ka'ra touched behavior whatsoever until then.

Maybe they weren't so strong in the Force, or maybe those powers could be charged like a battery and then used up, and the adiik had used everything up when fleeing from their dar'buire, had then saved up again until the fight? Oh, they really needed to contact the goran soon, or anyone who knew more about the ka'ra...

Then, at a pit stop on a rural little planet, a giant fucking creature with more teeth than anything else was about to charge at them when it suddenly froze, tugged tail and turned around, beating a hasty retreat. And sure, maybe the beast had had a run-in with a Mando'ad before and remembered them to be too hard to be tasty and liable to cause injury besides, but that still didn't warrant this kind of reaction. And there was no-one else there that could have scared it off - no-one except for the adiik, who stared in the direction of the beast with a fierce, almost glazed expression as they forced the beast into submission.

The senshaad couldn't kid themselves into believing that their foundling wasn't very strong in the ka'ra, after that.

From then on, they started to pay more attention to their new ad, and saw how they interacted with the world around them in a way that was just a bit strange.

It was the little things that clued the senshaad in, made them realize that the adiik must be star-touched.

They seemed to see things that weren't there, their eyes moving past a person to something just beside or behind them. Sometimes they wouldn't register a question directed their way at all, and other times they would answer before the words had been spoken aloud.

The senshaad didn't have many toys on the ship at first, not having planned to adopt just yet, and so they let the adiik play with some of the not so dangerous tools for ship or armor repairs instead. Quite often, the foundling would lose interest in a piece just before the senshaad would have had to ask the ad for it because they needed it for their work...

The ikaad also shied away from seemingly innocuous objects and places - innocuous only until the senshaad remembered that silver spoon had been part of his haul from a pirate's bounty, and the marketplace the ad refused to put a foot on had been the place of a massacre just weeks before. When they asked the ad about the spoon, they replied without pause that it had belonged to a slaver before coming into their possession. They did not ask the ad how they knew it, at this point the reason was all too clear, and it wasn't like the ad would even know what the ka'ra or the Manda even was. Then again... Perhaps they did know, like they knew so many things an adiik should have no knowledge of. Like the distance between certain stars, and the components of explosives, and that they needed to replace a part of their armor soon if they didn't want to become vulnerable in a spot that could be lethal if injured.

They had to admit they were unsettled, if just a little, and asking themselves how the other buire did it, with adike so different to themselves. Then again, perhaps they could not have answered them. After all, the foundling was so very different from anyone they had ever met, ka'ra- touched or not.

Still, giving the ad up was not an option, and not just because it would go against their honor and Mando'ad. The little one was much too copik'la to even think of sending them away, with their bright eyes and inquisitive mind. Even if their eyes were almost too bright, their questions too intelligent for one so young... The ad'ika was mando'karla, was sure to have a wonderful future as Mando'ad, a future as bright as their strange, watchful eyes.

Mando'a is a gender neutral language, and as the pilot thinks in Mando'a and doesn't trouble themselves with finding out a toddler's gender identity, I've been using they/them for both of them for this fic, tho obviously it's in English with just a couple words in Mando'a, else most of you couldn't read it and frankly I'd also have trouble writing it xD

Jaster, Myles, and Feemor duking it out after Savage snitched on Obi and Jango for having foundlings:

It's probably my own fault for reading star wars fic. But I got inspired by a fic where myles and Jango hire Obi-Wan for a night to do the horizontal tango and that spirals into obi getting pregnant and having their kids and becoming their rid riduur. But it's unfinished but awesome. Great fic.

Then I started thinking, so what if Obi-Wan didn't have to sell his own body but plays the sabbac tables and Myles the pantoran mandalorian catches him and propositions him like, hey, see my friend over there (pointing to a disguised jango), yeah we're looking for a hot, smart guy like you to spend a night with us. What do you think?

And at first, Obi-Wan is like... dude I'm not a prostitute. (He needs money though, he is considering it).

But then myles goes: oh no no no I know, we're not trying to buy you, we just want to have fun, and in exchange you'll get like, whatever you want. Except an assassination or whatever. But like food, credits, medicine, that kind of thing.

And Obi-Wan agrees. He sleeps with them, gets a bunch of extra credits. Loses his virginity (he's 20, Jango and Myles are 33 and 30 respectively). Gets knocked up but doesn't know it yet. The usual.

He skedaddles out of town with Satine, who he's protecting. But then Death Watch is on his ass again and he has to fight them off. And guess who's been watching him??? Right the two dudes who fucked him a little while back.

So then Obi-Wan gets invited back to keldabe with Satine. And he finds out that, guess what, those dudes he fucked, yeah, they're the mand'alor and riduur. Whoops.

But at least the mand'alor's father Jaster (who is alive but retired in this, don't ask why just roll with it) really likes him and so do Jango's sisters Arla and Astra. And Obi-Wan finds himself navigating this entire shit show of mandalorian politics, family dynamics, a polyamorous relationship, and force knows what else gets thrown his way.

And anyway, that's what I'm working on.

Anywayyy! Here's another happy ending starwars au but this time in the form of Jaster Lives!! (Even though Jaster isn't pictured. But he's alive guys-)

I can only be normal about Jango Fett for so long guys. And for the past...months and I do mean MONTHS him, Silas and Myles have plagued me??? They won't let me leave.

These three just make me so ill oh my god you don't understand. There's barely anything in cannon (actually I don't even think it's cannon anymore but I also stopped carrying about cannon so) but I love them. There's so much that there could be! "I'll follow Jango and no one else" like I'm sorry? That level of devotion??? Also Jango actively loosing it when Myles dies ??? As a final straw? Silas dying words begging Dooku not to tell Jango if his betrayal? It's all awful and I love it so much it hurts so good?

Too bad this is a happy ending au so they're all FINE. The designs depicted are actually much more concepts of an au, than they are an actual au? Like there are several au's of mine that branch off of Jaster living and these designs specifically. So take that as you will. I do want to make a more in depth post going over their designs but for now here we are. (Also Silas is supposed to have a burn mark on his upper arm and in just forgot smh)

You may also notice this is sorta Silas centric and you'd be correct because THERE'S ZERO FANART OF HIM??? LIKE AT ALL??? okay maybe there is but I haven't found it and that's upsetting cause I love him. And yes I did give him long hair. It was supposed to be just a smidge longer than his original length but actually the more I drew it the longer it got and I'm okay with it.

Anyway I have been...rambling for way too long about these three of you read through all of that I- thank you? It's not out of my system though so like...if you want more...

Oh I forgot that they're all very gay for each other btw. If that wasn't obvious? They all kiss. They're all three boyfriends.

I love any and all the pictures of their relationships with one another tbh! Whether they're all platonic, one's third wheeling, queer platonic, brotherly love, etc. I just want them to all be happy together okay?

“Here, let me,” Myles sank down next to him and snagged a hand. Obi-Wan raised an eyebrow in question. The next second he let out a groan of delight. Myles’ fingers were karking magical. Aches were chased away under deft movements. He was suddenly glad the training yard had emptied out so it was just the two of them. He didn’t need any of the other Mandalorians knowing that he had a weakness for massages. Well, that and they certainly didn't need to know the type of noises he could make.

R - “Ready to go?” he asks Boba, standing up from the pilot’s seat. (the mind-numbing fear of being left alone again (he’s not alone any more), Star Wars)

and this is... an answer for sure LMAO

so this is one of my older jangobi AUs (kinda) that I was working on before I fell out of the SW fandom (and now I'm back, which is a warning to everyone).

Boba found a way to bring his dad back to life, and of course mr daddy issues jumped on that! Except he got flung back in time, ten years after Jango's death. He and Jango have no memory of the time between when Jango remembers dying, and the present.

Jango does what comes naturally, and bolts to have weird feelings about things he doesn't want to have weird feelings about.

He goes to the Outer Rim and finds the least-connected planet he possibly can. Good place to hide out and pretend he has nothing to do with all that clone shit. Because apparently, shit's gone down ever since he died??? Who'd've thunk it.

This least-connected planet he finds is Tatooine. He pretends to be a widowed drifter who paid for passage offworld and was abandoned by the pilot, now penniless and searching for work to support his son. He runs into Owen Lars, who feels bad about the whole deal and offers them room and board while they figure out a way to get back on track.

Obi-Wan Kenobi comes back from the events of the Kenobi show to see Jango Fett back from the dead and living on the Lars homestead and helping to babysit little Luke.

Obi-Wan promptly freaks out and tries to convince Owen to get rid of this dangerous criminal who tried to kill him.

Owen thinks that Jango is just Some Dude who's been trying to do his best, and is not impressed with Obi-Wan's dramatic behaviour. Jango has been helping with the farm and growing plants and keeping an eye on Luke (and Boba is a great friend for Luke since they both love ships and tinkering). Obi-Wan is not allowed to scare off the best hired help Owen's ever had!!! Shoo with your nonsense!!! Shoo!!!

So clealy the logical thing for Obi-Wan to do is stalk Jango all over the place and then have a bit of a crisis over the fact that Jango does in fact appear to be Some Dude. (Boba is up to all sorts of hijinks in the background, in the meantime. Kid loves trouble.)

Anyway I don't have anything written past that point but somehow my plotting/outline got me to a point where... well...

Apparently the endgame is Jango/Obi-Wan/Owen/Beru, possibly with Cody in there as well, which I'm sure will be a brand new tag on AO3 🤣

Quite a lot of things happen in this fic and I honestly can't explain what I'm doing with most of them. But it sure will be a ride if I ever finish it!

After some conjecture about how large a forge it must have taken to make a door and columns of pure beskar, and also how common it had been that such a wealth of the metal was used in construction, Styhl fitted their fingers to the handle hidden in the artwork. “Now, with this style of door mechanism, if it still worked, you'd just give a tug here and—” Styhl gave a hard yank, and yelped as the door slid seamlessly open and they fell through. Jango bit his lip, trying not to laugh aloud.

Does anyone know the fic where Obi-wan is a parent, and he gets employment as a weaver by a Mandalorian who later adopts him. Jango goes to the shop to buy a kute, meets Obi/Ben, forgets, and keeps going back. Obi/Ben's kid is cute too, and Jango is absolutely in love. there was even a little song about weaving and fish that Obi/Ben sang to his kid.

The wonderous @rhokitten put me the straight this one, thank deities! Here I was thinking Obi was parenting Luke or Anakin and dating Jango, but Obi-wan was the baby! It's Myles who's the parent and Jango's partner, Obi/Ben is a cuttie toddler.
