Much more seriously I am sick and tired of Red Hood being used as the “I am the distraction” for Batman, for the Bat Family, even going so far as to kill him for a page because they have a portable Lazarus pit serum anyway.

And instead of being angry, hurt, after being brainwashed and willing to “kill him for his father Bruce Wayne's mission” he passively accepts everything. Easily.

I swear it seems angrier Nightwing these years than Jason-

This is not just for the last story arc, but it is in the last few years. A great character they don't know how to use.

How I would love to have even an ounce of the luck of the Daredevil character, who has amazing story arcs.

Of course all this is my personal opinion, from an incredible romantic of the character

"Jason keeps making comments about his death and it's whiny" this "Jason is always talking about his death" that... Jason is always thinking about his death. Because that's what trauma is, being trapped in the moment, reliving it again and again and again. Children with PTSD/CPTSD sometimes do this thing where they play games when they recreate their trauma, and the explanatory hypothesis is that they're trying to fix it in a way. Adults with PTSD/CPTSD tend to find themselves at risk in similar situations. Being trapped in a time loop of the worst moments of your life and trying to stop something that's already happened, begging to be saved even if it's too late, lashing out to defend yourself after the fight is over. And I know the confrontation in UTRH is complex and about a lot of things, especially about Jason and Batman and Bruce, but also I can't help thinking, this reads a lot like trauma reenactment. And Bruce's response... Let's just assume it didn't really help.

So, yeah. Jason talks about his death a lot. Jason is still in that warehouse, in that coffin, still being tortured and dying and buried alive. Jason is still calling for help.

can I say that this is the only thing I can call lazy writing in the whole story arc? I REALLY DON'T LIKE IT. Because it's one thing to have Lazarus fluid that maybe you use it as a “defibrillator” when you look dead. Or maybe the Bat-Family does a fake death to counter Zur. We have seen that it is possible to fake a slowing of the heart, and after all, we are in a comic book. But, what the fuck? This reviving fluid is the only thing that makes no sense because one of the main factors of the Pit is that if you're dead it doesn't bring you back to life. (Jason woke up in the coffin and he was alive. But catatonic. Therefore Talia brought him into the Lazarus Pit). Then it's too easy to have little portable serums that revive you. Let's forget about every random death that can happen, SO MUCH THEY HAVE THE FLUID THAT BRINGS YOU BACK TO LIFE. Come on… I find this so bad. And the fact that Jason agrees to DIE????

Black Lantern Jason.

After reading Darkest Night, I can't help but think that the black ring might have chosen Jason. Imagine 15-year-old Jason, through pain and tears, fighting his way to freedom after months on the brink of death. Voices around him whisper to him that he is not worthy of life, that all this is wrong. But that doesn't stop him.

When he finally leaves the grave, something glows right before his eyes. The Ring of Black Lanterns chose him, who touched the edge, who wanted not to wake up in his grave, a child.

His eyes are burning, his whole body is on fire.

For the first time he feels the bony hands of death so close and for the first time it doesn’t hurt so much.

Perhaps all this led him here? At this moment, somewhere all the lanterns felt that a new black lantern had appeared.
