i think, fundamentally, all of them would try to reassure you somehow, like in their own way.

minseok: he would keep his hand attached to yours under the table, caressing your knuckles to make you feel less nervous. he would also ask his parents to go easy on you, as he knows how shy you can be.

junmyeon: whenever his parents aren't looking, he would lean in and whisper how well you're doing, besides giving you a kiss or two on your cheek. when you have to talk to his parents, answering questions or just being polite, junmyeon has the biggest smile on his face.

yixing: he lets his parents know that you're shy beforehand, so they won't pressure you in any type of way. he rarely presents a girlfriend to his parents, so when he does they know it's because that person means a lot to yixing - and the last thing he wants is for his parents to go all "are you the future mother of our grandchildren?" on you.

baekhyun: he tries to comfort you through physical touch as well, either is by resting a hand on your thigh or just being really, really close to you. he speaks about his mom with such love, i really think she might be a great person who can tell when someone's getting shy, so you can also count on her to make you feel better.

jongdae: his smiles are the only thing you need to know you're doing fine. like junmyeon, he would take his time to tell you to not worry, that his parents are loving you - which they truly were. he would also laugh a little bit harder at your jokes, just to make you win extra points with his parents.

chanyeol: i mean, have you seen him? have you seen his sister and mom? there's no way that family is making you feel uncomfortable. in fact, if chanyeol lets them know in advance that you're shy, his mom might even suggest you meet yoora first, and then her and his dad. but through it all, chanyeol has an arm around your shoulders and fingers brushing your arm.

kyungsoo: he can be quite shy himself, so he would ask his parents to please, just play it cool. he doesn't touch you or whatever, but he does give you little smiles from time to time. he also doesn't let his parents try any trick on you, which means that if any of them asks you something that might make you uncomfortable, he's more than ready to just say "mom/dad, don't". he respects your boundaries.

jongin: he tells you a million times that there's no reason for you to be that shy around his mom and sisters. having their approval over you means a lot to jongin, so he does everything he can to make you comfortable and talkative towards his family - he might even ask his mom to tell you embarrassing stories from his childhood, so you'll laugh and maybe loosen yourself a little bit.

sehun: similar to jongin, but their parents will tell you embarrassing stories about him on their own. he makes sure you're okay every minute, silently asking you if you wanna go home. he loves you to the point that, if you regret marking that dinner with his parents, he'll just excuse the two of you and mark it again in the future.

Jongdae loved to cuddle you, but he also knew whenever you weren’t in the mood for affection too. You never wanted to hurt his feelings by pushing him away, but once you were feeling better, he would be straight back over to you.

He worried about you a lot as the days passed and your bump got bigger and bigger. Jongdae took on more and more responsibility in order to make life easier for you, from big tasks around the house, to even the smallest of things like picking up your phone charger when you needed it so you didn’t have to bend down and grab it.

There were never any complaints from Jongdae whenever you were experiencing cravings, he was always more than happy to help you out and settle your cravings down too. As your due date approached, the nerves definitely began to kick in slowly for you both. The two of you spent even the weeks prior to your due date making sure that everything was organised so that you had less things to worry about when the time came. Jongdae was quite an optimistic person most of the time, and so whenever he felt himself getting nervous, he’d always remind himself of the end goal, and your baby coming into the world. There were times when he had worries and would think of the bad things that were coming your way, but all of that was far outweighed by the knowledge that once all of that passed, he’d be able to call himself a dad.

Whenever the two of you had news, or a new scan photo from an appointment, both sets of parents were the first to see them and bask in your excitement together. Actions spoke louder than words for Jongdae, and so he’d often come home with a few of your favourite things to try and cheer you up whenever you had a particularly rough day. He’d always show you that he paid attention by buying the things that you liked, silently letting you know that he loved you.

There were moments when Jongdae would find himself unintentionally getting jealous of you because you always got to be around the bump, whilst he had to go to work or do something. That jealousy wouldn’t last for long though, because as soon as he saw you in pain, he was glad that you were the one carrying the bump, as you were much stronger than he was to deal with pregnancy and the bad times that came with it.

He’d often lose track of time whenever your baby was kicking as Jongdae settled beside your bump. You’d be fast asleep above him whilst he kept feeling around for little bumps, often staying awake right through until his alarm went off the following morning, leaving him absolutely exhausted at the studio the next day.

Jongdae was incredibly supportive of you during your labour, making sure that he never left your side. His hand was yours whenever you needed to hold onto it, and if you needed to scream at him and tell him that you hated him for getting you pregnant, then he’d let you too. He knew more than anything that you needed him to help you get through labour, even if sometimes it was a bit unpleasant for him too.

Although Jongdaw wasn’t massive on being around sick, he knew that he needed to ignore how he felt about people being sick and focus on being there for you instead. It was by far one of his least favourite moments in pregnancy, but when he felt bad about it, he’d always remind himself once again of the outcome.

He wanted to prove to you how strong he was when it came to your nursery, Jongdae built every last thing so that he could look back over it proudly, and also secretly brag to others that his baby’s room was built by him only.

After you gave birth, Jongdae was incredibly protective of the two of you for the first few days. As with whilst you had your bump, he barely let you do anything, doing even the simplest of tasks that you needed doing so that you could recover and not put your body under too much strain until you were feeling better again.

His mind doesn’t always correlate that your baby really is just inside of your bump, and so the scan photos are much more of a ‘pinch me’ moment for him, reminding him just how real everything is.

Jongdae refused to throw away your test once you’d taken it, keeping it in the bathroom so that he could always take a look at it and remind himself that you really were pregnant until your bump began to show.

He made sure that he was at every single one of your appointments, as well as taking the time after them to take you out for food and look after you.

Neither of you were big on having too many visitors whilst you settled in at home, both of you were keen on keeping things lowkey and intimate between you and the closest members of your families for a little while.

Junmyeon

This sweet man would listen so intently as you explain to him your identity and pronouns. Once you've said everything you planned to say, the first thing he would ask would be "How would you like me to refer to you in public?" He would be very careful not to out you if you weren't ready for your identity to be common knowledge. He would find his groove pretty quickly, and he'd remind you every now and then to correct him if he makes a mistake.

Minseok

Even if you don't get emotional telling him, he would get emotional. The first thing he says is "Thank you for trusting me with this." He would feel so grateful that you want to share this part of yourself with him. He'd likely have a lot of questions, and he wouldn't be shy about asking them. He wants to make sure he's representing you the way you want and need to be represented.

Yixing

He would be so proud of you for taking this step. The first thing he'd do is kiss your forehead. He may be a little confused about how specific your gender identity is or is not, but he would be so willing to learn. He would practice referring to you the way you've asked him to with his staff. The first few months, he would make a lot of mistakes, but he would correct himself before anyone else could 100% of the time.

Baekhyun

As you tell him how you feel and identify, he'd be holding your hand. You would have his full attention. He wouldn't interrupt you a single time. Once you've finished talking, he would give you the biggest smile and say "You're amazing. I love you." He probably wouldn't have any questions until he found himself in a situation where he didn't quite know what to say. If you weren't there to speak for yourself, he would try to navigate the conversation back to what he does know and he'd make mental notes to talk to you about what he could have done better.

Jongdae

Jongdae's eyebrows would be upturned in concentration as you tell him what's been on your mind. He would nod as you share your experience and make affirming noises. When you finish talking, he would take a minute to think carefully about what to say. He would put a hand on your shoulder and smile, "You're one of the best people I know. Thanks for sharing this with me." He may be a bit slow to ask questions because he's not always sure how to phrase what he wants to ask, and he never wants to offend you. The first question he asks you is "If someone misgenders you, is it okay for me to correct them?"

Chanyeol

Like Minseok, Chanyeol get's emotional when you come out to him. He has an extremely soft heart and the first thing he would ask is if it hurt you when he called you gendered adjectives. He loves to compliment you and he would work so hard to make sure that he does it in an affirming way. He would give you a big hug, sniffling a little because he's overwhelmed by how much you must trust him to have this talk with him.

Kyungsoo

His glasses would slide down his nose while you're talking to him and he wouldn't even move to push them back up. He's listening so intently to what you have to say. His response would sound deceptively simple, "Thank you." But in that phrase would be a world of meaning. His thoughtful way of speaking means that he would never misgender you, and if you're okay with it, he would very gently correct others when they did. He would be incredibly supportive, even if he doesn't always know how to express that verbally. His actions are affirming.

Jongin

When you tell him that you need to talk to him, he'd get a little anxious. He'd want to hold your hand while you're explaining things to him. He's empathetic and well attuned to how you feel, so if you're nervous, he'll rub soothing circles into the back of your hand. If you're excited, he'll smile and squeeze your hand in affirmation. His first question would be "Would you prefer me to call you my partner?" He wouldn't think to ask if it's okay to correct those that misgender you, he would just react immediately. So if that's something that bothers you, you would need to express that to him. He'd listen and correct his mistake immediately.

Sehun

He was actually expecting your talk with him. He didn't know specifically how you would identify, but he knew that you were thinking on some things. He gave you the space to figure it out. So when you came out to him, he would smile and pat your knee and say, "You're really amazing." He would kiss your cheek and ask you what changes you would like him to make. Sehun would find himself getting annoyed with those that misgender you, and would have a hard time holding back if he felt it was intentional.
