sohee has always been a pretty baby. everyone always told her parents so. no one had ever seen a baby more beautiful and sweet-natured, they said. she was perfect. on a whim when she was just about to turn 2, her mother entered her in a beautiful baby contest run by a famous childcare brand looking to find their next baby models. her win set her on an unexpected path of billboards and fame, the citizens of korea all knowing her name and cooing over her image before she could even form full sentences. she kept modeling and appearing in commercials throughout her childhood. she was a darling sensation in the late 90s and early 2000s, even brands like samsung sought her out for advertisements. she first realized her dream of becoming an idol when was around 5 and she had to perform a rendition of a children’s song for one of her commercials. it was her biggest hit, the catchy jingle and her cute little face boosting the company’s sales ten-fold. 

she kept modeling and acting in commercials for years, but as she got older, she began to book less and less. she was still pretty, they said, but she was losing that same toddler charm she once had. when she was 9 years old, she and her parents were approached by a scout from mgc entertainment, the company of one of the highest-selling girl groups of the time. her parents were a little hesitant, not only ready to be done with the industry they had been sucked into so suddenly, but believing sohee was too young to be a trainee. the scout was convincing enough though, telling her parents that they wanted to make her the next boa. sohee begged and begged for them to let her join, and after a week or so of consideration, finally agreed. she did an obligatory audition but was immediately accepted, the company seeking her out for her visuals and her already hefty resume as a child model. 

she enjoyed her training at first, happy that she spent her days learning to sing and dance with other kids her age. that was until one of the dance instructors began giving her special treatment. he always gave her praise in front of the class despite berating other kids, he would give her special lessons in his own studio, and eventually he began making advances on her. she didn’t understand it at first. she liked being his favorite, even though some of her friends began to turn on her because of it. she liked being praised and encouraged. but often times she was self-conscious of the way he would put his hands on her while guiding her movements, or his tone of voice when he would speak to her when they were alone. 

it got to the point where one day, she begged and begged her mom to let her stay home from practice and quit being a trainee. concerned for her daughter after her initial excitement, she eventually got the truth out of sohee and was enraged. her parents immediately took the issue to the company, but they informed them that they had signed exclusive 5-year contracts with them, including nda clauses. the company threatened the family with legal action if they continued to speak on the issue or if they pulled sohee out of the training program. unable to risk the costs, they reluctantly sent sohee back to the program. they warned her to stay away from the teacher as much as she could, but to tell no one else about the issue.

the next day after class, the teacher pulled her aside and told her that she would never make it in the industry if she couldn’t handle special treatment. that he was only helping her to reach her dreams and that every girl who had ever made it as a star had been in her position. she kept attending his lessons after that.

she was always torn. she still had a deep love for performing. she got lost in a dance or a song, relishing in the way she felt strong and impenetrable when she was on the stage. but she was slowly becoming more isolated, and the instructor made her feel wrong for wanting to chase this dream. in the 5th year of her training, the final year of her dreaded contract, one day she arrived to the studios where she had spent years practicing and found them entirely abandoned. it turns out that the company had been under investigation for fraud, money laundering, and csam related crimes for the past few months. suddenly everything that she had been working for, that she had been suffering for, disappeared before her very eyes.

it took years for her to get over the crushing loss of her dream and even begin to heal from the trauma she had experienced. 3 years after the disappearance of mgc entertainment, just after her 16th birthday, another scout approached her on the street on behalf of rainbow entertainment. she denied her at first, struggling to even hold a conversation as anxiety rubbed raw at her throat, but she took her card, if only to get away quicker. but the longer she considered it, the more she was reminded of what her dream had meant to her. her parents were hesitant at first, not quick to forget the way she was torn apart when this dream did not work out before, bit after seeing her renewed determination, they agreed. but not before hiring a lawyer to sit in on any contract signing.

she found a new life while training at rbe, a renewed passion for what she had longed for before. she still struggled with symptoms of ptsd at times, but she had found a strong support system in her friends, especially seolah who she had quickly found solace in. she was overcome with joy on their debut day, hardly unable to stop crying as her dream finally came to reality after everything she had gone through to get there.

Cutie pie (Nuer & Syn): Primeiro carinha por quem Junhua se interessou, com @rjabez veio primeiro a implicância, depois partiu para os flertes e aí seguiram para o caminho do relacionamento completamente inexperiente, sendo um completo desastre desde o primeiro beijo desajeitado até a primeira vez que tiveram juntos com dente batendo, câimbra na perna na hora errada, entre outras coisas que só tornaram a relação ainda mais especial. Não estão mais juntos, mas as lembranças são boas e a relação entre eles também continua sendo tranquila.

Our beloved Summer (Kook Yeonsoo & Choi Woong): Primeira menina por quem Junhua se interessou, foram meio obrigados a conviver e desde então eles passaram a se suportarem, só que cada vez que se conheciam, mais ficavam próximos e o romance acabou acontecendo naturalmente, rolando até pedido de namoro em cenas clichês, com a chuva caindo e ele usando a própria blusa como um tipo de proteção. Não que ele tenha tanto tempo livre, mas acabou acontecendo, não deu certo, e em algum momento a relação apenas acabou, ao menos acredita que foi em bom termos, ainda que não tenham conversado sobre isso em nenhum momento.

Bed friend (King & Uea): Sexo sem compromisso, nada além disso, possuem até algumas regrinhas que começaram a seguir apenas para que não ultrapassem algumas linhas limite daquela relação. O acordo entre eles é apenas pela satisfação, se sentem bem fazendo isso e esperam continuar enquanto puderem, se vão seguir para algo além disso?! Não se sabe.

Cha (Roy Kim & Seo Inho): Em algum momento da vida deles, tiveram interesse pela mesma pessoa e isso desencadeou uma relação antagônica que se mantém até hoje, mesmo que não tenham mais esse interesse em comum. A implicância nunca foi resolvida, então eles que lidem com os sentimentos contraditórios que surgem quando estão no mesmo ambiente.

A situação em qual Jooyoung nascera não fora comum e nada amistosa: uma traição. A criança fora fruto de um relacionamento inicialmente feliz, ainda que nada comum, mas que também deixou algumas marcas. Seu pai, conhecido como um tão aclamado cirurgião com uma carreira sólida no exterior, outrora até cuidava do filho, ao menos no primeiro ano de sua vida. O distanciamento que se estabeleceu entre os pais fora apenas uma consequência e um aviso prévio para o fim do — conturbado — relacionamento. Inicialmente era a falta de tempo, depois algumas brigas, até que o progenitor passasse a não dormir mais em casa. O garoto não havia chegado nem aos dois anos quando os papéis foram assinados; a mãe passando a se virar para cuidar do pequeno como podia, tendo a ajuda apenas da contribuição financeira que o médico não se negou a disponibilizar.

Algum tempo depois, mais especificamente quando o jovem Lee completava seus três anos de idade, o garoto que mal conseguia entender alguma coisa agora estava para ganhar um irmão caçula. A surpresa não poderia ser maior, ainda que não fosse negativa. Joo sentia-se feliz pela mãe, não era muito bom em demonstrar mesmo sendo tão novo, mas sentia que as coisas seriam mais animadas com a chegada do novo irmãozinho. O pai do mais velho dos irmãos se dispôs a ajudar também na criação do menor batizado como Jookyung, o que tirou um peso e tanto das costas da genitora, pelo menos até que os filhos estivessem bem encaminhados em sua educação. Ainda que Younha, a mãe dos dois meninos, soubesse que era errado, não poderia simplesmente expor quem era o pai da segunda criança, a mulher dizia ter os seus motivos. Tal fato não mudava em nada o amor que ambos recebiam.

O crescimento de ambos tinha tudo para correr de forma pacífica, isso se o relacionamento de Jooyoung e a mãe não tivesse ruído anos mais tarde. Por muito tempo o primogênito se sentiu responsável pelo seu irmão mais novo, mas quando notou que a mulher estava jogando todas as responsabilidades em suas costas, acabou por se revoltar e foi aí que sua vida começou a desandar. O irmão mais novo também fora obrigado a amadurecer mais cedo o que refletiu e muito na aparência e no comportamento do mesmo.

Jooyoung, ao entrar na High School, se encontrou mais recluso, abdicando das diversões para estudar em classes mais avançadas, se adiantando também em suas grades. Porém, não ficou de fora da onda de bullying, as crianças conseguiam ser mesmo más quando queriam. O rapaz reagiu a tudo aquilo da pior forma possível, além de não querer preocupar seu irmão menor com o seu estado, também não queria que ninguém se intrometesse em seus problemas.

Com o passar do tempo, o jovem ainda não demonstrava interesse por nada em específico, fazendo com que o mesmo acabasse se enturmando com outros daqueles jovens de futuro meio incerto. Mesmo sem rumo, foi no meio de sua confusão que Jooyoung foi descobrindo mais sobre si mesmo e sua sexualidade. Neste meio tempo a mãe voltou a se relacionar e o desenvolver do sentimento parecia crescer rapidamente, o que também preocupava o primogênito, mas não o fazia desejar intervir de alguma forma. Como esperado a mulher se casou novamente com o novo parceiro, um bom homem com raízes coreanas e que nutria amor pelas crianças da nova esposa como se fossem suas próprias. Jookyung, o caçula, ainda estava na escola, mas diferente do irmão mais velho, se tratava de uma pessoa de personalidade totalmente brilhante. Jooyoung acreditava que o irmão poderia se sair muito melhor e ser criança por muito mais tempo, bem diferente do que ocorreu consigo.

As descobertas do Lee não cessaram em sua adolescência e a curiosidade e afinidade sem igual por seu prazer pessoal fizeram com que o coreano investisse no que possuía certo conhecimento: prazer humano e moda. Colocou o capital que detinha em uma franquia de “lojas do prazer”, um acervo íntimo onde as pessoas poderiam encontrar diversidade, diversão e amor. Junto de seu sócio poderia administrar de longe. Dentro da sua loja também existia um espaço para acessórios e roupas, que também refletiam muito dos gostos de Joo.

but i also thought for a bit about the other zb1 members and which kdrama male lead they'd be and i already have a few of them!!

so first of all the lil cutie park gunwook. HE IS LITERALLY THE LOVE CHILD OF HAN SEOJUN AND LEE SUHO don't tell me i'm wrong because i am RIGHT. he looks super intimidating and acts so confident just like han seojun but soon enough we find out both of them are just cute boys that deserve all the love in the world💔💔 and like suho, gunwook is academically smart and comes off as intimidating but he's just a lil awkward that's all.

the second candidate is kim taerae as this bro from while you were sleeping i forgot his name. BUT i just thought of it while on the toilet and everybody knows toilet thoughts are superior. like both of them are super attractive but they're also kind of losers (affectionate 🫶). idk but taerae just fits his vibe SO MUCH i swear!! i can see him doing whatever the male lead did in the show. the awkward things AND the brave/badass things 😽

and then we have your bias as kang chul from w two worlds. they're both the main characters from their shows and. idk. hanbin just fits the vibe toooooo much. he would be SO cool as an agent or whatever tf kang chul was but yeah millionaire hanbin, rlly smexy🤧 he cared so much for his friends and family, it's just. ugh. perfect.

and lastly, the last member is jiwoong but it's probably not as accurate. kang taemoo. IKIK ricky "young and rich tall and handsome" and all that blah blah but jiwoong just fits so much as well???? i can literally see him go "you know what my credit card and my love for you have in common? they both have no limit" and then send a wink your way. taemoo was flirty but unintentionally, jiwoong would do it intentionally 😪 also we know that taemoo was for the boys and the girls (he and his manager......... 🤨) and we know what jiwoong was doing before lol.

yeah that was all i could think of. i kind of think hao could be lee suho while gunwook would be han seojun but yeah gunwook fits the both of them ate the same time a lil too much. i haven't watched enough kdramas to assign all members a male lead sadly☹️
