I know you’re a cat person but I’m curious. What’s your opinion on other types of pets, like dogs, birds, lizards, and ferrets?

I like snakes best, after cats. They're graceful, beautiful, and make wonderful and sometimes deadly jewelry.

Dogs are all very well, though they require rather more attention than I am often able to give.

Birds, it depends on the type. As pets, I'm fond of pigeons, ravens, and crows. Firebirds are rare, but would be quite interesting.

Lizards also depend highly on the type. I know less about them, as I've never had one. Hypothetically I suppose I'm not opposed.

Ferrets are quite sweet, they can get along quite well with cats. One of my cats, my Midnight, raised two baby ferrets as her own when she had her kittens. It took me several days to realize there were two kittens fewer than I'd initially thought.

Hi Aaravos! Do you think people in power should make decisions for others about things they know absolutely nothing about?

No.

Generally one would expect those in power to do at least a little research, attempt to make the best decisions for their people. Not all do-- certain rulers I once knew were blinded by their own power and prejudice and made some ill-advised decisions, to the detriment of their people.

Others, of whom I heard tell although I did not know them personally, made decisions out of a misguided nobility. Viren told me of his late king, who once chose to help those in need in another kingdom although it meant his people would suffer. Of course, being king, he would not share in their suffering....

A poor decision, I must say. When one is in a position of power, one must protect one's people even at cost to others. That is why you are given power over others: they trust you to consider every factor, and choose the path that ensures their safety, health, and happiness.

A leader who cannot or will not do that is a poor leader indeed.
