Not a chiptune shipper, but could I suggest Chip warming queen up when the air is cold because he just radiates heat (before the spider arc)

Or Queen putting there hat on Chip and it falling over his eyes

Up on deck on a brisker kinda windy day and theyre both doing idle work,, maybe chip's checking ropes and queens patching clothes or sails or something. And despite their coat and layers the cold is cutting right through to queen cause their clothes are more designed to be unique and pretty than they are for keeping them warm.

and queen is Shivering but doesnt want to go below decks yet cause its nice being out here with chip this doesnt happen often he has captains duties all the time why would she willingly give up the rare moment?

but chip notices her shivering and he just puts the ropes he was checking down and opens his arms and goes "queen, c'mere"

and queens bewildered cause for all of chips touchy-ness he almost never accepts hugs and now he's here offering one unprompted? Queen's just Blinking at him.

But Chip gestures again almost impatiently like "i can fuckin' see you shivering from over here, man. get over here."

and damn like fuck is queens gonna turn down a chip hug when hes offering so he lets himself flop into chips arms and chip pulls him in closer to his chest and tucks him in close.

And queen feels the tattoos along chips arms and chest start to heat up even more than chip's already high natural body heat and its so warm. and the quiet crackle of the magical flames flickering is so so soothing.

chip rearranges his hold so that queens arms and hands are free. "there you go, now you can still sew and your hands wont be so shaky."

but queen has honestly completely forgotten what they were even working on because their face is so bright red and their brain has bluescreened because of the implication that chip intends to just continue to hold them to keep them warm and holy shit-

as for the other idea imagine them being silly and queen steals chips hat and plops their hat on his head instead and puts chips captain hat on their own and their hats looks so silly on each other that queen is giggling and chips petulant whining of "queen you cant just go around stealing pirates hats like that-!" breaks off into laughter as well.

Crown ascending: Gillion

Gillion fucked up, he went against direct orders from the elders and attacked someone at a gala and now... Well this was his punishment. Or it's more correct to say this was Gillion's last chance to prove himself to the elders and get into their good graces again.

In a deal with the Ferins and that kingdom, Gillion will be handed over under the guise of being Chips guard. When in actuality Gillion is meant to kill Chip, as a statement to the oversea to not underestimate the undersea since it's said that heirs of the Midnight Rose Kingdom have... Innate magical power that rivals that of the Undersea.

Gillion has been trained his whole life to kill oversea dwellers, and yet he feels like he can't do it. He can't go through with it. Because despite being sent here with such a horrible mission, this place is where he has felt the most joy and genuine happiness and comradery in.... Since as far back as he can remember-

He won't lie and say that chip isn't annoying.. because he is. Especially in the beginning. Running away and leaving Gillion to chase him through those old abandoned streets, following chips laughter.

Or how right after the ceremony where he was given to them, which the prince wasn't present for, Gillion was sent to meet the prince at his personal study. Instead gillion finds a boy in rag like clothes picking up, the boy says his name is Chip, and that he's a servants son.

Gillion asks for help finding the prince, which makes chip laugh so hard he nearly cries, before showing gillion the secret servant passageways and eventually around the whole castle before they bump into Lizzie.

And Gillion finds out he's been with the prince the whole time. When he turns to look at chip again, he's ran off again

Gillion has his work cut out for him that's for sure

JRWI RIPTIDE SPOILERS BELOW THE CUT (EP 53 ONWARDS)

okay joe iconis but why did you write the vagabond about gillion tidestrider?????

this is way less put together and very rambly so apologies for that

ITS LITERALLY JUST POST BANISHMENT PRE CHIP GILL IF THAT MAKES ANY SENSE. (its not just bc it mentions destiny but hey that helps yk)

The song starts out slow as Gill is slowly coming to terms with the fact that he feels like a bad person and how he feels deserving of his fate due to his actions. (I also like to the idea of the "formerly blonde hair" referencing some sort of crown or status symbol slowly fading or smthn?? idk idk) At the same time he is struggling to come to terms with it hence "i guess i'm what you'd call a vagabond" Even he is unsure of who he is anymore as he has now been made to feel like a bad person. After this line the song begins to pick up as Gill slowly gets more and more angry with himself and the world around him for his situation.

Here Gill is floating in the water left with nothing but his own thoughts. He decides to put his faith in destiny and put a smile on his face to pretend like he's okay. Mans is fully in denial. He tries to convince himself in the chorus that he doesn't need the elder's approval to feel like a good person and that he will be okay without their guidance.

This bit is also like gill eventually distracting himself and trying to move on but every time he looks at his sword the memories just flood back to him leading into the chorus.

This last chorus slows down quite a lot whereas the previous ones were more upbeat and angry. This coincides with gill finally coming to the realisation that he doesn't really know what to do with himself now that he's out of the undersea and that the elder's gave him direction. But now he's been left to figure out the world on his own and just wants someone to take him in and help him hence why he was so quick to trust Chip even after being taught about humans from the elders. Gill has also now at this point fully accepted his fate in the title of "The Vagabond"
