Match #6 Gauntlet For The Global Force Gold Final - Winner Receives 100 Karatbars of Global Force Gold!
Tumblr media
"Slapnuts" Shane Haste vs. Allie Katch - Shane Haste seemed to be delighting in inflicting pain on Allie Katch. Haste brought Allie to the apron, lifted her into fireman's carry position, and then chokeslammed her from the apron to the floor. As Haste went back into the ring, he didn't see actor Paul Walter Hauser appear in the crowd and pass Allie his 2023 Critics' Choice Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Movie or Mini-series. Allie pulled herself up to the apron, but when Haste moved in for the kill she cracked him over the head with the Critics' Choice Award. Allie got the stunned Haste up for a piledriver and made the cover to win the Gauntlet For The Global Force Gold! Winner: Allie Katch
- As the bell rung,  Jeff Jarrett was already in the ring. Jarrett got on the microphone and congratulated Allie, who was still quite out of it and could only get up to her knees, and said he respected her tenacity and wanted to hand deliver her 1000 Karatbars of Global Force Gold. Jarrett said he's not sure if Allie looked up the exchange rate, but that those 1000 Karatbars are currently worth somewhere in the neighborhood of 2.7 cents. Jarrett said he was feeling generous tonight and will happily round that up to an even three cents and smashed a guitar of Allie's head. Jarrett placed a penny over each of Allie's eyes and one in the middle of her forehead. Jarrett then called out Effy for their main event re-match right now.
Match #7 Jarrett vs. Effy II
Tumblr media
Jeff Jarrett vs. Effy - Jarrett and Effy brawled through the Pico Union Project and back into the ring where Effy appeared to have the upper hand. Effy hit the TKO on Jarrett and then locked in his camel clutch style dragon sleeper. Jarrett fought for the ropes but was trapped in the center of the ring. Effy would finally have his revenge, that is if Sonjay Dutt hadn't passed his pencil to Jeff Jarrett and Jarrett didn't stab it into the thigh of Effy. Now free, Jarrett smashed a guitar over Effy's head and gave him The Stroke with the guitar still around Effy's head...but Effy kicked out at two! Jarrett laid another guitar in the middle of the ring and gave Effy The Stroke face first into the guitar, which shattered on impact, and made the cover and got the three count.   Winner: Jeff Jarrett

MLW Fusion 160 Recap/Review
Another week, another MLW Fusion episode. Like I said last time, I have high hopes here because I don’t care that much for either person in what I assume is the main event, but let’s hope it’s got some fun stuff.
We start with the same Richard Holliday ad. Here comes Mads Krugger. He’s billed at over 7 feet tall. I don’t buy it. He’s tall, but c’mon. Backstage, Mance got a guitar, a gift from Conrad Thompson. Again, he’s the king of improv as he tells a fly in the building to go away. Anyways, david allan coe signed it, apparently. Don’t know him. Oh, he was at the 1987 great american bash? Alright.
Before Mance gets in the ring, Mads goes after him. They do a few chops. Mance grabs something wooden from the crowd and tries to use it on Mance, but it doesn’t do much. Mance is hit with a mexican flag. Mance goes over the crowd barrier and Mads follows. Mance hits Mads with a chair, but not a normal wrestling chair, a plastic sorta one. Mance has a drum and hits it over Mads and drums it.
Mads hits Mance into the ringpost. Mads grabs a few doors. After ads, Mads is beating down Mance. Mance is now busted open. Mads drives a screwdriver into Mance’s head. They make it to the ring. Mance hits Mads with a proper wrestling chair, but Mads no sells it. Another hit and he’s down to a knee. Mance charges at him and throws it, but Mads dodges and powerslams him through two chairs. Looks a bit shit to be honest.
Mads goes for a cannonball but hits the door. Mance hits the door over Mads’ head, but Mads again no sells and spears him through another door. Mads sets up a table, but Mance hits an eyepoke and throws him through the table for the win.
I didn’t expect Mance to win to be honest. The match was alright. The brawling style fit them both, I think. Mads is a bit slow and I think he no sells too much, so I’m not really a fan. Mance does a promo. He gets a chocolate milk chant going.
--
Someone is here as a santa asking for donations with microman. Someone tells him to get outta here and microman walks away. The guy trying to get money’s name is MSL apparently? Juicy Finau does a promo. Someone interviews Taya.
Alex Kane does a promo. He says that everyone chants Bomaye. He’s not taking applications for the Bomaye Fight Club. He’s doing a “Peach State Prize Fight”. If you can last 5 minutes with Alex Kane, you get money. I didn’t talk about what they said in the promos because not a lot was said.
Bomaye enter the ring with a couple of hype men. Alex is stealing more shit from Eddie Edwards, this time a jacket. D3 is here to face Alex Kane. Why does this man have a titty window? Apparently D3 was on Italy’s got talent. Goddamn Kane does some wild release suplex idek what to call it. Sorry, I forgot to call the match, but it’s a squash, obviously. Kane is just suplexing this guy over and over and gets the standing on the guy pin. I forgot that Kane is like a modernTaz in the ring. Would love to see more of this guy. Shit, give him tag titles with another Bomaye member. Davey comes out and Myron, who was on commentary, joins the brawl.
Shun Skywalker does a promo. It’s mostly in japanese and doesn’t have any subtitles but he says he’ll be in philadelphia. EJ Nduka does a promo. He says he’s as strong as the diamonds he rocks. Apparently he helped Hammerstone fend off ninjas? But yeah he’s coming after the title, etc etc. Not a bad promo, just nothing special.
Same hype video for Davey Boy Jr. Microman is at a bar with some guys, one in a mask and they toast. Hammerstone does a promo. I kind of tuned out to be honest. He’s talking about how EJ is a fake or something but Hammerstone will put him to the test. Again it wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t gripping. They’ll have a last man standing on the first Fusion of 2023. I hope it won’t be as boring as the falls count anywhere match, I don’t think Hammerstone thrives in those environments.
--
Anyways, now for the main. They play the canadian and mexican national anthems? I thought Taya would attack Flammer during the mexican anthem for heat, but nope. Gotta fill time, I guess. They lock up, but break away quickly. Flammer gets whipped to the ropes and hits a huricanrana but gets armdragged.
Flammer gets sorta suplexed? Taya shakes her tits for the front row. I’m not joking, she legit does that. The trailer for the evil baby movie plays again. After ads,Flammer hits a dropkick and then a tope. She and Taya then brawl on the outside for a bit before returning to the ring. They trade strikes.
Flammer hits a superkick and gets a headscissors submission on Flammer, but Taya slams her on the turnbuckle. Taya hits kicks and a clothesline, then a slow blue thunder bomb for a two. Flammer hits a shotgun dropkick for a two count. More strikes. Taya hits a spear for two. Then a sitout powerbomb for another two. Flammer hits a destroyer for a two. Flammer misses a kick, but hits one for a two. Taya hits the road to valhalla for the win.
As I said, I'm not a fan of either of the two, so as expected the match wasn't for me, but it was fine. I don't think it was a particularly strong episode and again, I think they tried filling time in weird ways, but it was an alright episode. The Davey/Bomaye and EJ/Hammerstone stories were progressed and I enjoyed seeing Alex Kane in action. I think next week is a recap episode, so I'll probably skip it. Until next time.
