Carl Jung said, 'One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.' . . Taking the step towards consciousness, reveals what has lain dormant, what is hidden and without acknowledgement. At times this may be our darkness, our anger, resentment.. our rejection of the love around us. By bringing conscious awareness to these thoughts and feelings, we can begin to explore their origin and their significance in our life. Through this self investigation, we can reach a point of light, enlightenment even, by facing our inner truth; by living with integrity and love. . It takes courage to embark on this journey, this process of self awareness and taking responsibility for our feelings and thoughts can liberate the stagnation that has contributed to keeping us a safe distance from love, empathy, compassion, joy... living life with light. . We are both shadow and light. This is what teaches us about our self, our desires, our dreams.. our hopes. Happy birthday (one day late!) to beloved Fonda!💕💫 Fonda is a Dream Work and Spiritual Direction practitioner at TLC, and helps run our Jungian Dream Group in Frankfort at TLC and at The Haden Institute in North Carolina (where Fonda, Mary Frank, Joseph and Emaline all got their Dream Work Certifications!).
