Jungkook keeps his music low, humming along as he fixes the mood lamp on the coffee table. All day he’s busied himself with laundry, washing your clothing, his, and everything for his son.

Piles and piles of folded clothing sit all around him. Multiple trips to his son’s bedroom to put everything away by size and color have occupied most of his night. He’d taken extra care with the denim jacket he’d bought recently, one that matched his own. You’d giggled when he’d shown you a black leather jacket similar to his, informing him that Mini-Me would outgrow it faster than he thought. Jungkook simply smiled, pulling out six more identical jackets in various sizes. 

You had gone to bed hours ago, but Jungkook could hear you rolling from side to side, grunting as you tried to get comfortable. Blackjack had peeped his head over his bed, looking toward the bedroom before staring at Jungkook with those dark, brooding eyes. Jungkook swears Blackjack still has it out for him after the couch incident.

Jungkook had helped you pack your hospital bag earlier, deciding to wash everything in your home just in case your baby arrived sooner than expected. You were so close to your due date, more than ready to meet your son and hopefully be able to lie down comfortably as well.

At the moment, Jungkook had a pile of his Calvin Klein boxers in his laundry basket. All brand new, but all washed before he wore them. You never know what clothing has been through before wearing it right off the rack or right out of a package. Besides, he liked his clothing smelling good, and he enjoyed doing laundry, so it wasn’t a big deal for him. In fact, the reason he was washing his new underwear was that his had mysteriously disappeared or had popped back up with tiny holes that matched Blackjack’s little teeth. You say it’s all circumstantial evidence, but Blackjack seems to yap every time Jungkook takes his underwear out of the laundry basket. Suspicious.

After folding his underwear and socks, he places everything back into the basket to carry to your bedroom. He’s quiet as he puts it away, the room illuminated by the glow of the lamp on the nightstand. He does his best to hurry, but as he shuts the last drawer, you’re calling his name.

“Yeah, baby?” he asks as he sets the basket aside and jogs to your side, his eyes immediately scoping out any signs of distress.

“I can’t sleep,” you groan as you sit up, pillows supporting your back. “He won’t stop moving.”

Jungkook smiles softly. His hand rests on your rounded belly as he coos. “Go to sleep, Mini-Me.”

You laugh when there’s a kick in response. Probably wasn’t the best idea to call Jungkook over, but you’re tired and hopeful he’ll be able to settle your son. Jungkook is not one to give up easily. He climbs into bed beside you, scooting close to your stomach as he talks to your child. His hand rubs gentle circles into your skin, singing softly when he notes your eyes close and your breathing evens out.

“I can’t wait to meet you, little one. You’re going to be so cute,” Jungkook whispers, his hair falling over his eyes as he kisses your stomach. Smiling, Jungkook carefully settles into his side of the bed. He’s been apprehensive about his son’s arrival. He’s never held a baby before. He worries he’ll drop his son or perhaps his son won’t like him, and he’ll cry any time he holds him.

Jungkook read several books, took notes, and even practiced installing the car seat and taking it out just to do it again. He wants to be the perfect dad and wants Mini-Me to be so loved and never want for anything.

Some nights, his thoughts keep him awake until the birds are chirping and the sun is rising, streaming through the cracks in the curtains. You always assure him, kiss him until his worries turn minuscule, and as the days fly by and the due date hangs over his head, the nervousness grows. He knows you’ll be amazing. How could you not be? 

“Jungkook,” your soft voice startles him as your hand reaches for his. 

“Yes?” he asks in response, his tongue feeling like lead.

“Are you okay?” you ask gently, knowing that his thoughts are probably running rampant with worry. 

“I will be,” Jungkook answers honestly as he scoots closer to you. 

“He’ll love you, Koo. There’s no way he won’t,” you grin. “He kicks every time he hears your voice. More so when you sing to him.”

Jungkook feels reassured, nodding as he blinks the tears from his eyes.

“Come on,” you encourage Jungkook. “Let’s get some sleep before Mini-Me gets here. We’ll need it.”

“Goodnight, baby,” Jungkook kisses your cheek. “Goodnight, Mini-Me. Sleep tight.”

Studying your scantily-clad body in the mirror, you wandered how much muscle mass you had lost in the past 3 days that you hadn't gone to the gym. The whir of partying with your friends and hanging out with Jungkook had completely made you forget about your sessions at the gym. It was difficult to divide your time around them since your friends still thought of Jungkook as Jaegguk. You let out a small sigh before pulling on Jungkook's t-shirt that hung off one shoulder and a pair of loose shorts.

"Hey," Jungkook came up from behind you, kissing your head before looking at you through the mirror, "Are you done changing? I wanna watch Tototro again."

"But I wanna watch Ponyo." You pursed your lips in a frowned-pout as you watch his face scrunch into a smile.

"But you watched Ponyo last week... please... I wanna see the big bunny?" He pleaded, lightly pulling at your pinky to drag you to his bed to start the movie.

You let out a comically dramatic sigh before crawling into his bed, not missing the small smirk that enveloped his face as he crawled into next to you. After ensuring the two of you were fully covered by his comforter, he enveloped his arms around you as he started the movie.

You comfortably situated yourself on his chest as you did so many times before, tilting your head the slightest to watch the large bunny spirit.

"The house is so clean." You commented, a habit you had developed while watching movies after the many nights with Jungkook's unceasing comments. "I wonder why they're cleaning it again."

"The house hasn't been used in decades." You could hear the slight horror in Jungkook's voice at the thought, "It should be crawling with dust and dirt."

As if he predicted it -which he had since you two watched the movie 3 weeks ago- the traveling soot started to emerge from the shadows.

"They're kind of cute though." Jungkook commented.

"Just like your moles."

"Huh?" You looked up at Jungkook to meet his furrowed brows, "Did you just say my moles look like traveling soot?"

"No." You giggled slightly at his apparent confusion, "I said they're cute." Seeing as he wasn't convinced by the skeptic look on his face you shook your head in amusement, "You know that saying about your moles and your past life?"

Jungkook's confusion didn't fade, "You mean that thing about the marks on your body being traces of how you were killed?"

"Yah!" You smacked his thigh through the sheets playfully, "You know that's not what I mean."

"Hopefully not since I got moles all over my face." He laughed, "So, what about the moles on my face and my past life?"

"They say that the moles on your face are where your lover used to kiss you the most in your past life." You turned in his lap to face him before gently tracing his face with your forefinger, "So your past lover kissed you here-" you traced his cheek "here-" his nose "and here" underneath his lip.

He watched you carefully with fascination as you continued to point the ones out on his jaw, his neck and collarbone before he gently took you finger in his hand. Jungkook tilted his head as his doe eyes narrowed in on the planes of your face, "You don't have any moles on your face."

"Perhaps this is my first life."

"Then it's mine too."

"But you-"

"Ah." Jungkook interrupted before his face bloomed in delight, "I found one."

"Where?" You tried to follow his gaze before you let out a small gasp as he pressed his lips on the juncture between your neck and shoulders.

"Here." He whispered before pressing a kiss on your exposed shoulder, "and here." Then he pressed a kiss to your lips.

"I don't think I have one there." You muttered once he pulled away.

"You will." Jungkook insisted, "In your next life."

"Why?"

"Because I'll kiss you there so many times, that it'll leave kiss stains."

Your lips slightly curved up into a smirk as you watched Jungkook's cheeks redden by his own statement, "Is that so?" You leaned in to him, "Then I guess I'll have to leave some for your next life too." You pressed a kiss to his forehead, "But I want to go over this one" his cheek "this one" his nose "and this one" below his lip.

"W-why?" Jungkook whispered as he cupped the side of your face, looking up at you from his lap.

"Because even if we weren't together in our last life, I wanna make sure the kiss stains in your next life were all from me."

His lips curved up into a smile, and his thumb caressed your chin before he pulled you into a kiss that would leave stains for the next few centuries.

a/n: okay so it's almost 3am rn but my sleeping schedule is very messed up and i wanted to write sooooo bad you have no idea. plus this is the first time in months i actually like something i write for bts? idk i was hating everything that came out of my fingers as i typed out my ideas lol. so... yeah, i'm pretty satisfied with how this turned out, i'd be happy to hear your thoughts on it! and i hope you enjoy~

Pulling your boyfriend's sweatshirt down enough for it to cover just below your thighs after having thrown it over your head, you turned around, not being able to fight the smile that had covered your face at the sight of Jeongguk already tucked into bed.

The sudden storm that day had hit just as the two of you were done with your last class, and, with neither of you having brought an umbrella, it was a matter of seconds for the two of you to be absolutely soaked as you made your way to the bus stop and then walked the rest of the path to his apartment. Well, he had ended up way more soaked than you, as he had made you wear his jacket right before getting off the bus, claiming he was always warmer than you and he would not have you catch a cold under his watch.

So, the second you made it back to his shared place with Joon —his roommate not being home as it was oh so usual by now—, the two of you had headed towards the bathroom so you could take a hot shower that would bring some heat back to your bodies. Later getting some more heat from the hot soup and ramyeon you had made for dinner.

And with the sky being pitch black as the evening set, and the thunder's noise making its way into the apartment, the two of you had decided to call it a night.

"Come here already" he cutely whined as you stood there.

Resting his back against the headboard, Jeongguk opened his arms for you to go over him and rest against his chest, earning a small giggle from you as you wasted no time to do just that — a contented sigh abandoning your lips when his warm arms wrapped around your body and somehow managed to tuck you into bed next to him.

"You wanna keep watching Start-Up?" he proposed, planting a soft kiss to your temple as he grabbed the TV remote just in case. "Or would you like to sleep instead?"

You shrugged, making yourself more comfortable on his chest. "It's kinda early to sleep…" your fingers trailed up the fabric of his sweatshirt. "But I'm too lazy to pay attention to a drama right now".

Jeongguk snorted at your confession. "So we just stay here like this?"

"Mhm…" you nodded, feeling calm as the silence took over and you heard the rain outside. "We can just… talk".

"Okay," he agreed, swiftly sliding down the mattress so he could fully lay his back on it. "What do you wanna talk about?"

"Your day?" you wondered, now tenderly playing with his long fingers after having made yourself comfortable half on top of him. "Tell me about your day".

"I literally told you all about it when we were on the bus back home" he chuckled.

You bit your lip. He was right. But then again, you could literally listen to him tell the same story over and over and you would still be just as immersed as the first time.

"Why don't you tell me about your day?" he teased, knowing well enough the answer to that.

"I already told you all about it on our way back home".

Jeongguk couldn't help but giggle at your soft, defeated words — his familiar lips once again pressing against your skin, only now it was to the corner of your mouth.

Smiling blissfully at his tender show of affection, you turned your face enough for his mouth to now press on yours. Only a brief yet slow kiss being all you needed to feel your heart speed up like crazy.

Before he could lean in to steal yet another kiss from your anticipating lips, however, your eyes caught a glimpse of the book laying on his nightstand. Jeongguk wasn't the kind to read, at least not if it didn't have to do with college, which is why you found yourself frowning and catching him by surprise when you leaned over him so you could get a hold of the book.

"Greek mythology?" you questioned, finding your way back on his chest as you slid through the pages. 

"Uh, yeah…" he cleared his throat. "Joon hyung is always talking about it and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about".

Oh, so it was Joon's. That made sense.

"And? Is it worth all the hype?"

"I've only made it to the sixth page..." he shamefully admitted, earning a throaty laugh from you. "Yah, don't laugh. I'm trying here".

"I know, I know. Sorry, bun" you amusedly apologized, planting a kiss to his jaw. "If it makes you feel any better, I know nothing about it either".

"I know," his head rested against yours. "Otherwise you would never shut up about it".

Just like that, he had managed to get himself hit by the book he was so hardly trying to finish — the one you were holding in your very hands. "I bet I know more about it than you do".

"Do you now, petal?" he smiled, hand roaming under the fabric covering your body and pulling you to him by your waist.

"I do, bun" you answered quite despectively. "I know about Zeus, and Poseidon…"

"That's it?" your boyfriend couldn't help the teasing bunny smile that had just parted his lips.

"Morpheus?" you added, confidence lacking from miles away.

"You got me there" he admitted.

"See?" your palm pressed to his chest. "I know more than you".

"You literally only said three of their names and that was it".

"I know about Zeus splitting up people, too!"

"Zeus what?!" Jeongguk's eyes opened wide as ever.

"Ha! You didn't know about that!" you tauntingly stuck your tongue out to him.

"Obviously not," his eyebrows furrowed in clear disturb. "So he, like… Physically split them up?"

"I'm not sure?" you admitted. "The myth says that us humans were apparently created with, like, four arms and four legs… and two heads?"

Jeongguk's lips tightened in disgust.

"No, wait! Not two heads. One head with two faces. That's it".

"Doesn't make it any better…"

"Shh, just keep listening" you tenderly traced your thumb over his bottom lip for him to get the memo. "So yeah, we were created like that and Zeus was afraid we'd be too powerful… so he split us in half. That way all of us have another half that we're condemned to look for the rest of our lives".

Jeongguk stayed silent for a couple of seconds, taking in that story he was only now hearing of, and then looking at you with one of the most pure eyes you had ever seen on him.

"So we all have another half?" he asked, moving his body closer to you and leaning in just enough for his lips to brush on yours as he spoke.

You nodded. 

"And we're like, doomed to spend our entire lives looking for them?"

"Mhm…"

His lips curved up into a smile, and his thumb caressed your chin. "And even then it only took me seventeen years to find mine".

Your heart hurt in the best way possible at the sound of his whispered words — in the most beautiful way it had ever done.

"And then five more until I made you mine".

You smiled against his plump lips as they ever so gently sucked on your bottom one. It was truly unreal how happy he made you.

With your hand cupping his cheek a good couple of seconds after his tongue had slipped into your mouth to massage your own, you kept him still as you faintly pulled away.

"According to the myth, you didn't make me yours. You got together with me" you teasingly pointed out, hot breath tickling his mouth.

Jeongguk chuckled, tightening his hold around your waist as he hovered you and said in between kisses, "And then I made you mine".

"That is not how the story goes" you squinted at him.

"I like this version more…"

Rolling your eyes in amusement, you found yourself looking up at him in pure adoration — arms loosely wrapping around his neck after he had softly rested his forehead on yours. "You really believe I'm your other half, though?"

"Of course," he replied with no hesitation. "You're everything I'm not. Exactly what was taken from me".

"What if what was taken from you was more of the same?" you tilted your head.

Although your tone had been teasing, he was quick to shake his head no.

"Then I don't want it," he faintly bumped his nose on yours. "Either you're my other half or I am choosing you over my other half".

"Kinda feel bad for your other half" your overdramatic words were followed by a disappointed shake of your head.

"Don't," he chuckled, stealing a small peck from you. "I'm pretty sure it's you, petal".

"Cheesy" you smiled, entangling your fingers in the hair at the back of his head.

"What, are you saying you don't think I'm your other half?" Jeongguk raised a daring eyebrow.

"Oh, I know you are" your lips pressed briefly to his. "Only my other half would secretly give me flowers for an entire year and then not confess".

"I thought we were over that" he whined, letting his forehead fall to your shoulder as you laughed loudly.

"I'm never letting you live that down" you chuckled, planting a kiss to the side of his head and wrapping both your arms and legs around his body. "But it's okay now, because as my other half you still managed to make me yours years later".

Jeongguk smiled, pleased. "So you're saying I made you mine?"

"Mhm…" you nodded, allowing him to make himself comfortable on your chest. "And I made you my flower daddy".

Just like that, his previous smug smile had been erased.

"Of course out of all the other halves in the world I got the only one who would come up with that".
