While the Rockets Ride

Let's lean out of the window a bit for a change, and get our heads out of the safe places and the meanwhile somewhat stale air of familiarity, and in with the fresh air of the new, and hopefully also the unexpected, so that we can breathe a little more freely and also better. But we better keep our feet on the ground, because after all nobody wants to fall out of the window.

A little, one would think, this could have happened to Gene in the 80s, because at that time he has also stood with the toes now and then in the 70s (1). There, however, it was less about exploratory urge, but rather about old junk boxes full of spare parts, which are not exactly rarely mentioned here as I have just realized, and from which Gene (2) obviously liked to help himself. Sometimes more, but also sometimes actually less obviously, as in this case. Nevertheless, the 80's have represented an extreme pole in this respect, when it was a matter of settling annoying obligations concerning Kiss.

Besides, this time Gene must have got a little bit lost in the said spare parts boxes, because he got the one of Ace. Whether on purpose or not, it remains to be seen, this works with Kiss more like in a swingers club anyway. So let's dedicate ourselves to While the City Sleeps and Rocket Ride, while watching the stars and enjoying the fresh night sky air. That fits quite nicely (3).

Side Notes:

(1) Paul not exactly inferior, but Paul was mainly putting his energy into Kiss, and Gene on the other hand, well.

I love Dawnshard so much! Rysn's fantasy discord server for paraplegic ladies. Rushu being such a glorious ADHD nerd at all times. The wisdom under the Lopen's goofiness when he talks to Talik and Rysn about their shared experiences of being othered by the Alethi and the able-bodied, respectively. Rysn and Cord both independently having conversations with people where they talked about discovering that they wanted risk and adventure. (👀 please Mr. Sanderson, let them sail around the world together and kiss!!) Rysn crying because Vstim called her a friend. Cord being ready to trick and/or fight any god who comes for Rysn when they've only been friends for like a day. Chiri-Chiri making tiny, adorable roars to protect Rysn. When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail, and when your hammer is trade negotiation, you sit down across from a guy who's 300 cremlings in a trench coat and make a sales pitch for not killing you.

Got my button and pins junk box from @shiftythrifting. Honestly, I was blown away by how many pins came inside. Can't wait to rock some of these at work. Hopefully, funds pick up in the next few months cause I'd love to get another junk box, whether it be pins again or something else. Also loved the unicorn one, so it got its own picture.

what items are typically in your horse trinket bundles? I'm thinking of ordering and I want to get a feel for it

Horse junk box? They've always got at least 1-2 Breyer's plus other horse toys, plush, & figurines. You also get a random mix of stickers, keychains, pins, magnets, patches, and other small horse related items. Sometimes we find Bellasara cards for them too! The mix varies depending on what we run into in the wild.

i like to imagine engineer is a prodigy since they were young when it comes to fixing things or technology related (if possible) then became one of the youngest and talented engineer at a young age, as tike went on they grew into a maiden that everyone has thirst over

You’re actually very spot on with my rendition of the Engineer. Shes pretty young and already super famous (only about 25 or so) and she’s already a millionaire who’s well known in the Android industry for her genius designs and repairs. Aside from the HSR women simping over her, people in general simp for her and can’t help but be drawn to her wherever she goes 😅

A young woman who’s rich and extremely smart? She’s pretty much the hottest bachlorette on the market right now. Every party or gathering you’re invited to that’s hosted by high executives, have you be the center of attention. Not like you enjoy it though, the Engineer would prefer spending her nights holed up in her mansion and tinkering with machinery while a dumb show plays in the background <33

honestly I encourage everyone to get comfortable opening up their electronics. game consoles. computers. phones. keyboards. headphones. whatever. like obviously don't start with the most difficult thing to open up and don't just mindlessly pop open something and lose all the screws and don't do it while its on. but get comfortable looking inside your stuff yourself

its not hard to open up most electronics that don't have an apple logo on them (and even a lot of those are easier than you'd think) and it DOES NOT VOID YOUR WARRANTY.

Companies will try to scare you from learning how to care for your own stuff because they get money that way. Warranty stickers are technically illegal in the US but just isn't enforced, and a company can't actually void your warranty if you repair something yourself, so long as you don't break something else in the process.

like I look at threads all the time where people express fear about just opening up a console and looking at the internals to see which version they have but don't be! its easy, its safe, its free! get comfortable with your electronics and learn how to clean and repair stuff yourself, it isn't scary, companies just want you to think it is!
