River monster!Eddie is obsessed with collecting little trinkets, and you can’t tell me otherwise. That man monster is literally like fuckin Ariel collecting her thingamabobs. And every time he finds some cool new trinket or doo-dad that’s been carelessly discarded on the river banks, Eddie cleans it up with the flower water to make it look real nice, then, after he makes you come on his cock (or his tongue, or both), he gives you a second to catch your breath and get your bearings before grabbing his newest trinket(s) from his pile and brandishing them before you like a little kid proudly showing their mom the tooth they just pulled out. He’s like a dragon with his hoard of gold, he’s super possessive of his trinkets, but he also really likes showing them off to you and Wayne. Sometimes, if he finds something he thinks you’ll like, he’ll give it to you as a gift, but most of the time, Eddie likes to keep his cool finds for himself.

I know you mentioned that he has an old radio that you helped him fix up, but what other lil bits and bobs and trinkets and doo-dads do you think that water-logged, lil mossy gremlin has stored in his super secret cave/river dwelling/alcove???

Also, do you think that, when Eddie’s not around/paying attention, Wayne purposely “leaves” stuff on the river banks that he thinks Eddie will like just so that Eddie can find them and add them to his growing collection?? Like maybe he even rubs a bunch of moss and sand and dirt on them to get his own scent off the items so that Eddie won’t know that Wayne was the one who discarded them (because, if he knew, he’d either just try to give it back to Wayne or simply not take it at all)???

Alright so as an overarching warning for the whole fic, this Eddie is a monster (obviously) so he’s going to have some macabre things in his trove. He eats people on occasion, like a gator would.

I mentioned the gold fillings but that’s because they’re shiny. I imagine if anyone had jewelry on them he’d keep that too, the unnatural shine and shape of them draws him in every time. He’s got a clutch of them that you maybe find and come to some…realizations. He’s got crushed up cans and interesting rocks. He hangs onto his sheds sometimes if they were particularly hard to get off and he gives you one, a large scale from his spine.

Because of what Wayne is, and y’all don’t know what that is yet sorry, he’s for sure leaving things for Eddie. Literally from trinkets to food and at first Eddie doesn’t want to take it because he’s cautious of Wayne. After they’re friendly I think Eddie looks forward to it actually. Maybe he’s got a sweet tooth and Wayne figures it out, leaves a pie or something one day and watches Eddie just devour it.

Romantic or Platonic ideas for how different pasta/proxies would gift? example; Reader wakes up and there is a shoebox next to their bed with a bunch of shiny thingamabobs&do-dads& shinies inside. Alternatively; a neatly wrapped, beautifully bowed box is waiting placed neatly on their made bed. inside is something like a dead bird or severed finger. Gifting varies, and I wanna see who's the 'best' and 'worst' in your ideas

Jeff - okay uh. He’s not great, but he tries. Will probably get you things you need or something really dumb and silly. The typa guy to either gift the most expensive and top tier hunting knife you’ve ever seen or a sock puppet.

BEN - could be worse- he probably gifts games for you to play with him, or makes a silly lil package full of foods, drinks and trinkets he knows you’d like. Is also the type of guy to buy you matching bracelets or a silly pair of socks

Toby - cardboard box full of strange trinkets and thinks like pine cones and little stick men he’s made from branches and leaves out in the forest. Either that, or a baby raccoon he adopted (kidnapped) while outside. It doesn’t seem like much, but he’s genuinely put a lot of thought into it and will be over the moon if you like it 😭

EJ - possibly the best on this list. Will go all out, observing and asking about things you like and then looking everywhere to try and find the highest quality and best version of said product: once he’s found it, he’ll wrap it up as neatly as you could ever imagine with a little bow and a romantic (or sweet, if you want platonic) note attached. Wont even mention it, he likes doing things for people he cares for. He won’t even do it exclusively on holidays, if you’ve helped him out or been especially nice to him then he’ll get you a gift as payment.

Tim - not bad, actually. Will probably get something you’ve specifically said you needed or wanted, and will do some pretty good gift wrapping. If ur super close though, he’ll probably be a bit like ej and go all out. He also doesn’t exclusively gift on holidays, I think he’s also one to pay people back in gifts because he’s not great with words or physical affection:

Brian - smooth as shit. Literally you won’t even say what you like/want but he knows you so well that he doesn’t even have to ask- easily finds the thing you’ve wanted more than anything else, and wraps it up all nice and cute with a note. If you bring it up you’ll get that charming smile and a quick quip of “knew you’d like it.” He’s so silly I love him

Sally - now, because she’s a kiddo, she can’t do much spending of money. I mean she can if she wants to and if she asks one of the older residents like Tim, Brian, toby, yk. But if she doesn’t, then she’ll draw a really cute picture (coloured in, too) of everyone and with you with something like a crown on your head and “best big brother/sister/sibling ever :D” and god damn it you will put it on your wall.

Since some people don’t seem to know a goddamn thing about us aromantic folks, I figured I’d maybe put together a lil thingamabob based on AUREA’s 2020 Census.

Per most queer censuses, topics concerning violence, sexual violence, conversion therapy, various forms of abuse, and more.

Firstly, we’re a diverse people. I’d love for people to see and understand that.

We have trouble coming out of the closet just like any other queer person. Less than 13% of us are fully out about being aromantic. Even when we can tell some people about our romantic orientation, many people in our lives are still genuinely dangerous to come out to.

We experience erasure, conversion therapy, violence meant to “cure” and “fix” us, are suibaited, are kicked out by our parents, discriminated against by medical professionals, called insane for our orientation, are harassed at work for being queer.

We experience many kinds of attraction which may or may not lead to us loving people, even if that form of love is different, presents differently, or is otherwise not amatonormative.

el, however, was not having that. she laughed him off, tossing one of her travel-size perfumes into her bag. “it’s just a night out, matt. just karen and i. you know, girl’s night.”

“consider,” matt offered- and it was moments like this el marvelled at just how extraordinary he was, at how he seemed to be looking directly at her even though she knew he wasn’t. “you’ve never really been on a one-on-one girl’s night. i don’t want you putting yourself in any bad situations.”

he did have a point- this was one of the downsides of her heavily-sheltered childhood, of a life inseparable from the forceful, guiding hand of extreme orthodox catholicism. on the other hand, however, matt had given her metaphorical ammo by his own doing.

“good thing the devil of hell’s kitchen himself taught me self-defense,” she smirked, and she leaned down to kiss him as he sat. “i won’t be gone long. just do what you normally do when i go somewhere.” 

“play a record,” he answered with a shrug. “lie on the couch. miss you.” 

el just laughed, planting one more kiss on his cheek before she stood up. “i’ll tell foggy to give you a call. i think you’ll survive.” she turned around and started for the door. “love you!”

“love you,” he called back. “be safe, eliette,” he teased. when she looked back to smirk at him, he had the widest, proudest grin on his face- the undeniable mark of a man who thought he was hilarious, whether or not the woman in question agreed.  “i’ll try,” she retorted. “i’d just hate it if daredevil had to come to my rescue, you know?”

I am not currently reading any of them bc I listened to so many audiobooks in a row I needed a brain break and for the past few days have only been listening to music, then transferred to podcasts bc I fully forgot abt these books. I shall give them my attention while melting molten glass later this week

current obsession: Spiderverse and lampworking (the aforementioned melting molten glass) which is one of my jobs at the moment!!!! ANYWAYS. im writing this at 2am and I HAVE A 500 EVENT IDEA LMAOO- so i know my requests have been closed for a while and i wanted to open them again, but i thought that wouldve been “boring” compared to my other events, SO I ADDED A LITTLE BIT OF... ✨SPICE✨ AND MADE IT SHOPPING THEMED & A WEEKLONG THINGAMABOB

BASICALLY requests are open for both scenarios and drabbles!! ill pick 7 (if there are that many BAHAHAH) and write a 500 word drabble!! (500 for 500 followers ahah ahaha)

those 7 drabbles/scenarios will be finished asap and queued for a week straight (week of the 18th), so it'll be an entire week with one posted piece of writing a day!

I’ve been writing this way for a long time and usually just putting ADT/Adulttale/etc. or a disclaimer in the beginning but I got tired of doing that and figured a blanket statement at the VERY TOP OF MY BLOG would be a better idea

so this is just a lil announcement both to update y’all that I’ve fixed my header and also if it was at all unclear, any canon character who’s a child has been AGED UP for romantic stuff, because I don’t write romantic stuff with kids
