I don't think enough credit is given to Goncharev's score. It's so perfectly married to the visuals, it really adds to the impactfulness.
In the build-up to the infamous clock scene there are the very deliberate and tense piano notes, with only some manner of choral hum in the background. It creates this air of anticipation and dread, and it feels like time is standing still.
And then during the big reveal when we finally see Katya's face it amps up to this controlled cacophony of percussion and an arpeggio similar to the one in the Goncharov theme, except they used some kind of binaural technique that makes it sound infinitely descending. The hum in the background also changes into more of a drone. It is a very unique, uncanny aural experience and perfectly encapsulates the regret and helplessness I imagine Goncharov is feeling in the moment.

Big naturals gandalf permanently changed my neural pathways. I see gandalf with a flat chest and it just feels not right. Like who is this man and why doesn't he have a massive rack.

maybe it's time i actually sell my old gtx 970 since it could still run veilguard. i actually bought that thing to run inquisition. maybe i shouldn't be but i'm positively surprised a decade old gpu is still up for the job. many games have come in the recent years with higher minimum spec demands.
i do wonder if the spec demands will ever plateau. there is only so far you can go with hyperrealism, draw distance and ray tracing before it completely loses its point. but then what do i know about 3d rendering.

what in fresh marvel cinematic universe hell was that dragon age trailer honest to god. the mobile game art style. the fact that we got no indication about plot or gameplay. the "we can be heroes" remix song. i cannot. why did it look like an ad for pepsi.

What do you think about the theory that wind symbolizes lies/deceit in Goncharov? Maybe I'm reading too much into things but I feel like there's validity to it. Every scene where someone tells a lie there's a slight gust of wind. This even happens indoors once at the villa when Katya tells Goncharov that she did not see Mario at the apple orchard. The balcony doors are open though so it's not like the wind is supernatural.
You'll also notice that the apple orchard is a very windy location, as it mostly acts as a backdrop for deception. There are only two scenes at the orchard where it's not windy:
When they bury Ice Pick Joe. There is also no talking or music, so it is an eerily still scene.
When Goncharov and Andrey have their heart-to-heart. This makes me believe that Andrey was being honest, even though the movie leaves it open to interpretation.
What do you guys think? I feel that it's plausible.

a fun mechanic in baldur's gate 3 is that you can make any of the squad romance anyone. also i believe they are all bi so i am in process of making a camp of gay couples.
it is a bit buggy with tracking who has history with who tho and i never know whether a dialogue scene will use the character i'm controlling or default to the protagonist. so might end up a mess, we'll see lol.

i'm already planning my second bg3 character who will just be shoving fistfuls of worms into their brain. they see a worm and won't stop for a minute to think, just into the brain it goes. might be an earthworm, might be a tadpole, who knows, doesn't matter.
