Out of all the ships to happen in dont starve, why have I never seen wickerbottom x Wanda?

other than just being a simple wlw ship, its two old people who both share a mutual understanding of everything in the world (even if one is kinda forgetful with it). You got the simple librarian and her time traveling girlfriend. Wickerbottom is just reading a book in her tent and Wanda appears after disappearing for two days to warn her about the sad ending. She’s forgetter why it was sad, but she’s willing to sit with wicker to find out.

Wickerbottom going down her mechanical study ark, even if she only knows a little she’s more than willing to research so she can help Wanda out when she can. When Wanda does stay they both have book reading sessions like old people and just sit and read quietly together. I feel like Wickerbottom would kinda guid Wanda through the process of being old, willing to give a expert back massage for her aching new old bones.

They would absolutely slow dance. Wait till the whole camp has gone to bed and just hold each other around the fire. Sometimes they wouldn’t even dance, Wickerbottom would just hold Wanda close wondering when it would next be time for her to disappear. In the morning Wanda would always bring her a cup of coffee, either piping hot or stone cold, depending on what Wanda was doing before she remembered to make it. Wickerbottom sort of leans into Wanda when they sit together, she reads while the other tinkers, occasionally voicing her notes to which Wickerbottom would mumble a response to if needed.

Wanda comes back after a rather long day of escaping time. First destination is Wickerbottom’s tent, she knows for a fact she’s waiting for her to come back. She flips onto the bed, right next to the other woman who’s still reading. They snuggle up close, no hellos or good nights need o be said. Wickerbottom’s spare hand goes to softly stroke the woman beside her as she begins reading quietly aloud, allowing a background noise for Wanda to fall to.

Just old people in love. Or well, half old person. I headcannon wicker is 70 and base Wanda is in her later 50s and then fluctuates to around the 60-70 range. I could be completely wrong with this but let me dream
