She had been trying some dresses for a small hangout you two had planned. You almost drooled at the sight of her when she wore a slim Raven-colored dress, which sharpened her curves and even included a slit. How could you not stare? It was like a goddess standing right before your very own eyes. She walked towards you, showing off the dress.

“How does it look?” she questioned, raising a brow.

Her breath was practically in your face from how she leaned down with parted lips. Your eyes moved down to her plush mouth, it was hard to peel your eyes away from them. Unfortunately, you had spoken without thinking...

“..Mommy..” it was a small slip-up, not meant to be heard by anyone's ears.

It caught her off guard, widened eyes staring back at you. You were panicking so hard, biting your lip as if you were prepared to be yelled at. But that event never came and instead, Nemuri laughed. It was a minute after, she wiped a tear away from her eye from how hard she was laughing.

A smile left on her face as she looked down at you, leaning over again.

“Awe, I'll be your mommy then.” The hero teased, crawling on top of you with a now cocky smirk.

“That’ll be the only thing you will address me by tonight.”

Your plans are now long forgotten.

Just finished Ep 16 of The Midnight Romance in Hagwon and my heart was so full I felt like crying. Quiet as the drama seemed sometimes with all its unfinished conversations, half-lit scenes and slow lingering shots, I honestly wish it had four more episodes because I wanted to follow these characters around some more. (Not just the leads either, I'm a charter member of the Pyo Sang Seob Fan Club now and I need to know where he ends up!)

Anyway, I'm not sure MRiH is going to be compelling or even interesting to a lot of avid k-drama viewers, especially since the romance (while very much present and relevant to the story) was by no means the main focus as the English title would suggest. But it was gorgeous and thoughtful and made an impression on me in the same way as My Mister or My Liberation Notes did, while feeling even more realistic and immersive than those. I'm glad Wi Ha Joon took on this project, because I would probably have missed out on one of my all-time favorite dramas otherwise.

(Also, somebody please give Kim Song-Il another chance to play a significant recurring character instead of just a bit part, because this drama showed he really deserves it!)
