Which NHL players would be most wanted?

As a huge hockey fan myself, this has been something I have been waiting for. Off the top of my head I can think of Mathew Barzal, Kristopher Letang, Mitchell Marner, Kaapo Kakko, Ethan Bear, TJ Oshie, Andreas Athanasiou, K’andre Miller, Seth Jones, Chris Kreider, Colton Parayko, Darnell Nurse, Pierre-Oliver Joseph, Nick Suzuki, Jacob Bryson, Pierre-Luc Dubois, Quinn Hughes, Auston Matthews, Nathan Mackinnon and just so many more. A/N: I had to postpone my other writings in favor of writing this. I am not sorry. @nhlandotherimagines​ here, my dear friend. Happy reading everyone!

I stir, feeling an unfamiliar weight on my chest. I raise my arms reflexively, my eyelashes twitching against my cheeks, as I open my eyes.

“No.“ A dragged out disagreement is mumbled against the fabric of my T-shirt. Voice deep and raspy.

Looking down, I notice Kaapo lying on my breasts with his arms wrapped around my waist and his legs intertwined with mine. I relax back into the mattress and a small smile makes its way to my lips. Raising my left hand, I start playing with his blonde hair. Scratching his scalp and getting out the knots with my fingers.

“Good?“

He hums, nuzzling his cheek to my chest. Eyes closed and a content expression taking over his face. He looks so good like this. Zero pressure, zero responsibilities. Just resting in a warm bed with his personal human teddy bear.

I run the palm of my free hand down the nape of his neck and to his bare shoulders. His hold around me tightening. With the tips of my fingers I rub the soft skin of his backside in mindless patterns.

I remember when he decided to ditch his pajamas T-shirt for the very first time. Trying to act as if it wasn’t a big deal for him. Shedding the negligible piece of clothing in my presence, was his way of saying: “I trust you and I am comfortable around you enough, to be myself.” As insignificant as it may seem, the gesture meant a lot to me. And it still does. I would hate it, if he ever felt insecure about himself around me. He has no reason to. I try to remind him of that with subtle gestures and words spoken with tenderness every passing day.

Running my fingers up and down his spine, I can feel the goosebumps raising on his pale skin. His arms flexing. My hand travels up, stroking the side of his face with the back of my fingers. His calm breathing, the only sound I can focus on. He is so pretty and warm. I wish we could stay like this for eternity.

Looking back, we did come a long way. A very bumpy and rough one at times. Times, when I thought I would give up. On everything. On him, on me, on us. On relationships all together. Talking about emotions was never easy for either of us, but somehow we made it work. It took a couple of tries to figure out what proper communication in a healthy relationship actually looks like. Tries that brought us a rather larger amount of pain. Yet we made our way back together. Despite all the difficulties and troublesome periods we ended up in each other’s arms.

Cradling his face in my palm, I stroke his cheek with my thumb. He hums, pressing to my palm. I let out a content sight, his golden locks falling between my fingers. I smile happily. Then a soft murmur leaves his red lips.

“What?“ I ask as I brush a strand of hair out of his face.

Slowly, he opens his eyes. His arms leave my body in favor of stretching out. My arms falling to my sides. The soft sheets caressing my skin. He then places his chin on my stomach and reaches for both of my hands. One of them he places in his hair and I grin. His arm circling back to wrap around my frame again. With his other hand, still grabbing mine, he interlocks our fingers and lets our hands fall back onto the bed. He looks up, blue eyes looking into mine.

“I love you.“
