If you talk about how untrustworthy Tanya is in the beginning she’d be upset with you and distance herself so just wait until ur closer with her/have tangible evidence

But if you do catch her with her mask down she’d be hasty to put it back up

I think what I've learned from posts today in the Ghosts tag is that many of us in the fandom are autistic or neurodivergent and relating to different characters that we share our differing autistic traits with, which is pretty cool, whether or not the depictions were intended to be autistic or not.

It's explains why Mary and Robin are, personally, my two favorite ghosts for example. Mary's different ways of explaining herself that sound like nonsense to others around her, the way she visualises and remembers things in vivid and kind of dream like ways ("dandies and wenches all floating about, wine out of their ears"), the humming and the VERY strong reaction to injustice or things being unfair, and struggling to find her voice, her struggle with confidence and made to feel guilty, and so much more is just so me. The fact that Katy is also autistic makes this even more appreciated.

With Robin, it's how he hyperfixates on certain topics and loves gaining knowledge of certain things while others he won't hold back on saying he's not into which can come across as rude or blunt to neurotypicals but it's just us being honest and stating what we enjoy and what bores us. The way the world sees him as one thing when, once they take the time to listen and get to know him, he's actually something else entirely, and far more insightful and empathetic than he gives off. Also Robin constantly stroking the bit of fur on his front reminds me of how I stim by rubbing the softest parts of my outfit or often the inside of my pocket.

Fem Roberta (definitely named Roberta) (also the middle Katie McGrath pic is the fc) is the kinda the biggest lesbian bait ever. Non-dutiful eldest daughter set to inherit storms end but she does NAWT give a shit she wants to go play around in the Vale with fem Ned and drink and whore etc etc. Rides and fights like a man and even wears men’s armor but still dresses and (sometimes) acts like a noble lady when the situation calls for it. She’s not a tomboy who chafes at nobility she’s a rowdy noble girl who LOVES her status she loves excess. Charismatic girl who managed to get men to follow her into war to get back Fem Ned’s little brother even though she loves him like a prize. And she loves the idea of being connected to Ned more than that. But other than her homoerotic obsession with her best friend and she is totally and completely heterosexual 👍🏻

Fem Stannis (Stana? Castana?) is kinda so Eva Green do we see the vision people. She’s a flop daughter who dresses like a utilitarian, very little room in her looks for comfort. Internalized misogyny for days bc she thinks if she were a son she could be so much better than her sister is. She’s kinda like if Cersei slayed a little less. When Roberta dies she can’t garner any support bc even though they were both women, her elder sister was always more persuasive and well liked, which is half the reason she became queen. So now she’s behind her bastard nephew and nieces who aren’t even related to her in the line of succession (let’s pretend masc Cersei and fem Jamie swapped the kids or smthn idk 😭). And her new red witch is not doing favors for the people who think magic = dark and womanly and evil. She’s such a flop and gay for the older pirate lady who saved her life and she can never do anything right ily girl

And Fem Renly/Rena/Renia is kinda the baddest bitch in the seven kingdoms. She’s even prettier than Roberta was at her age, and just as charismatic, and far more agreeable, acting more like a “proper” lady. Though she rides as well as her eldest sister, and even took up the sword too, wanting to be a warrior queen when she was little. Her fits always go crazy, a fourth of the treasury at storms end is set aside for her favorite green enameling and gold accessories. She’s kinda the star of court and thinks Roberta has gotten lazy and Stana has too much of a stick up her ass to be a good queen. Ofc in true Baratheon fashion she has a gay who worships her like a god, her trusted lady-knight Lora Tyrell, who gives her the support of her house before she unfortunately gets merked. Rip queen I wish you could’ve been mean on the internet

Finished drawing my character designs/ line up of the Light Fingers Crew to formalize my drawing of them

Overview/ Design talk under the cut if anyone is interested in that sort of thing

For all the designs I used the art given for them in the game as a starting point and then went from there. For all but Hephaesta of course that means using a non character specific art. I also wanted all the colors to sort of fit together so where i would have done more vibrant stuff and i strayed away from that.

Clara and Her Sister

Putting the discussion for these two together, as their designs recieved similar thoughts because they are identical twins. ('She is wearing the Fading Music-Hall Singer's face, which seems rude.')

The basic art of the bohemian faction is used to depict the sisters.

So this was my basic starting point for the visual design. I ended up diving further into research into bohemian fashion, which of course lead to me reading up on the history of the term and the connection to the Romani people. According to wikipedia, the word comes from the french term 'bohémien', which was the word for the Romani people.

This of course put a complex spin when i looked into the clothing used in the time, as theres a question between cultural appropriation and cultural appreciation, and one I don't have the full understanding for.

Nevertheless i did take some inspirtation for the clothing here, Clara with having her hair loose and down and looser clothing, the singer with the hair scarf and the necklace among some inspirations.

Inbetween the two I imagine the singers appearance to be more reserved then Clarabelle's. For one, my interpretation of the singer is as someone who uses her singing as a backdrop for sneaking and gathering information (per her role as a 'contact' of the player). The other being that we are told Clara's title is the 'eccentric opera singer' to me implies a grander sense of creatativity and wilder clothing. In less stressful times I imagine her wearing brighter clashing colours and skirts with patterns on them and jewlery (which i intend to draw at a later time when i get better at adding patterns to clothes lol).

We also know the two of them are 'not young' so i attempted to not make them appear so.

Hephaesta

Heph is of course the one character of the group with a personalized art, which i used as the base for my design.

Hephaesta is supposed to be a large figure, as she is a strongwoman, and is described as towering over even jasper and frank. So of course I had to make her tall compared to the others of the group.

And of course i can't go without bringing up Katie Sandwina (again), a real strongwomen of the time who serves as a great inspiration both in body type and height.

What a woman huh.

Dr Vaughan

The Campaigner template art was the one used to depict her when you first speak to her and was a starting point here.

To me i always pictured her as a fairly older women given her experience and amount of time she's been researching. Clearly someone with a lot of exprience. And also i just vibe with it.

I kept her outfit simple, as i dont figure her as someone to put too much into the latest fashion given her focus on her work. I took the green from the art to use as her skirt to tie in that colour. I also looked up some photos of female doctors of the time and that partially influenced my art direction here.

Obliging Silverer

I debated including him or not given that you only have him as part of the team if you use the light fingers exclusive option to access the parabolan basecamp. But given the fact that he literaly dies defending the camp, I think its only fair that he gets included.

i just had a bit of fun with the design as there wasnt too much to restrict off. I dont draw a lot of characters with mustaches depsite them being a thing of the time, so I figured this was a good excuse as any. I kept with some orange colours within his colour scheme for further callbacks to parabola and his work.

Also hey did you know that people of an ashkenazi background can also have red hair? Fun fact heh.

Hazbin Hotel Episode 2: Live Reaction

I'm so tired and we're just on the second episode!

I just realized Keekee basically does nothing so far. But it's just the first two episodes. I'll let it slide.

Charlie panicking over the extermination being 6 months. Understandable. Valentino sending awful messages to Angel Dust? Concerning.

Why did the line quality change-

Why are the sinners so freaked out about it now? I mean I get that it's just been a 6 month set back. Does this mean they weren't as freaked out during the previous exterminations?

Sir Pentious shows up. Cool. The hole he blew in the wall looks like a heart. Alastor has shadow powers. That's neat.

What the hell did they do to the voices of the Egg Boys.

The cut off is funny and it's just the VVVs.

Maybe the real hell was the capitalism we made along the way. So Voxtech has hypnotech? That's new.

The animation of Vox standing looks a bit weird.

Vox's powers seem cool. Also this is not an insult to the VA of Leo from ROTTMNT but he kinda sounds like him. But way deeper. WHY IS VELVETTE BRITISH.

At least Velvette sounds older and more professional. Vox just looks like all the other skinny twinky men in suits Vivziepop designs.

Ohhh, so Vox has electricity and hypno powers. Cool!

I kinda like Vox now. I like his voice and personality. He has a sass about him. I just hate how he swears so much like the rest of the cast.

Velvette looks cool. Also to whoever designed the animal demons holding her outfits, I am in love. These designs speak so much more about what they're supposed to be rather than the "Vaggie being a moth" or "Katie Killjoy being a Mantis". I specifically like the purple goat demon.

The music sounds pretty cool and funky.

Velvet has transforming powers? Or teleportation powers?

Why does the script make everyone swear so much. "Now fuck off, now shoo" could've been "Now buzz off, now shoo" because of electricity and buzzing. You guys get it?

Oh, Valentino has moth guards? Vox's mouth blends in too much with his screen. It would look more clear if they just brightened it up a bit or darkened it more instead of making it look grayer.

Angel Dust has been reduced to nothing more than a puppet for sex jokes.

They recruit Sir Pentious to spy on the hotel. Vaggie attacks him.

"It's nice to have someone interested for once" Why is Angel Dust sad about this. Charlie's kinda right?

She gives a tour of the hotel to Sir Pentious and they do the roleplay scene. I get the foreshadowed by new comer plot they're going for but... THIS IS JUST THE SECOND EPISODE. MOST PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW ENOUGH ABOUT THESE CHARACTERS OTHER THAN THE FAN BASE THAT'S BEEN AROUND THEM FOR 4-5 YEARS.

Angel Dust doesn't have enough development for the people to get how he feels. Also I understand the toxic relationship thing they're doing with Valentino and Angel Dust but the whiplash is just ehhh. I appreciate that they're trying to do this but they just need more time to make people understand the characters and their dynamics.

They're really rushing it huh. It feels like they're just catering the series towards fans.

Like they give the fans the tools needed to make deep stories when it should be giving the fans deep stories for them to make their own small stories.

The lighting quality just comes and goes.

Sir Pentious places a camera in the room and is dumb enough to leave the door open and leave it in plain sight. At least hide it?!

Sir Pentious insults Angel Dust by calling him a "whore bug" and Angel just goes wild on him. This insult doesn't even sound real. If you want to draw blood, sink the blade deeper. That insult was just a mere glide.

Sir Pentious has hypnosis powers apparently.

Vox calls Pentious out for doing a bad job and just insults him like a highschool bully and we expect to feel sorry for Sir Pentious.

I'm sorry, Sir Pentious has just been introduced this episode. How are new comers supposed to feel sorry for him when they just met him a minutes ago.

Every Hazbin Hotel episode is 23 minutes but it feels like an hour.

Another song. I'm skipping through it. Also this Nifty and bad boy thing seems a bit strange. And the way they make her act like a child? Seems a bit suspicous or am I just nit picky.

Hi there, thank you so much! I'm a character designer so I don't really work on sequences-- that's the work of story artists, although sometimes us designers are brought in for help with cleanup or doing layouts for keys.

From season 1 of Nocturne (since that's the one I can talk about) I think I had the most fun designing Erszebet's gown and Mizrak's outfit-- they're right in my wheelhouse of fantasy/historic/architectural and sexy monk knight so I was very stoked exploring both of those

the squip is a nanocomputer in the form of a pill that you swallow and after that it helps control your brain and make you a more socially adept person. it projects a visible form into the vision of the person with that specific squip, kind of like a hallucination

He's a quantum nanotechnology CPU. The quantum computer in the pill will travel through your blood until it implants in your brain and it tells you what to do. It's preprogrammed. It's amazing. Speaks to you directly. You behave as it's appraising. Helps you act correctly.

His main purpose is to help his host be their ideal self, but unfortunately for some reason or other, it involves world domination. He's a manipulative bastard but hot DAMN he looks amazing the whole time, especially the broadway version (in my opinion). Broadway Squip has it all. A stupid lil hoodie outfit in the beginning, a cool long white coat with circuit patterns during a halloween party, and a final emo all-black outfit for the final showdown. Speaking of halloween parties, he isn't above having fun a lil as he manipulates his host into ruining his relationship with his friends! He looked like he was genuinely having fun dancing at the party. I love this bastard. Oh and i've been using he/him pronouns but he's canonically agender. We like to have fun with their pronouns.
