VA Native Fish Hunting - 20
Tumblr media
So apparently I started recording my fish hunts two years ago this month and it seems appropriate that I hit a neat milestone in entry number 20 (not counting interludes)! And as kind of a neat coincidence, I had an eventful hunt with a few new species to share! Hope you enjoy :)
Tumblr media
The tide was high today and the beach was gone (frown!) so I was unclear what luck I'd actually have hunting fishes. I've been to this location before and had a good idea of what I was likely to find here. What I had not found before were Bluespotted Sunfish (Enneacanthus gloriosus) here! This little guy was dead and floating right at my start point - both a good sign and a bummer at the same time. What I thought was neat was this sunfish, unlike literally every other one I had found in VA, was in a basic pH river rather than an acidic bog. Makes me wonder what little offshoots I can explore with a kayak.
Tumblr media
Another fish I haven't found here were Banded Killifish (Fundulus diaphanus) like this beautiful fellow above! Among my favorite NANFs for home keeping (or in general), this guy was iridescent gold and blue, bright breeding colors for this species. I let him go - hopefully the ladies will appreciate his "near death encounter" with a massive beast (i.e. me) and living to tell the tale!
Tumblr media
Last time I came here, the most plentiful fish I caught, by far (like, 50-to-1) were Eastern Mosquitofish. This time? The most common catch were these Spottail Shiners (Notropis hudsonius), one of our small native minnows. Though they max out at 6 inches, 3 inches is much more common, and most of what I caught were about 1 to 1.5 inches. Probably only hatched earlier this year.
Tumblr media
One net swipe here! A couple of fish, a couple of snails. Who can argue?
Tumblr media
I caught maybe 3 or 4 of these Tesselated Darters (Etheostoma olmstedi) at this location - I love love LOVE the two I have in my tank at home and wouldn't mind more at some point, but I wasn't looking to keep any fish today, so they got to swim back home. But let me reiterate that anybody who keeps a North American biotope tank would do well to look into the Etheostoma genus of Darters!
Tumblr media
It took me a few swipes to finally catch a female Banded Killifish, which as you can see do look significantly different from the breeding colored males. Still great aquarium fish for sure.
Tumblr media
Though I only saw a handful of live ones, I saw a ton of shells for these Chinese Mystery Snails (Cipangopaludina chinensis), an invasive critter that has overpopulated in the area. How exactly one shell got wedged (very hard by the way!) into another shell is beyond me.
Tumblr media
As I was swiping my net, I felt a crawling up my arm that gave me the willies (tick season does that to me) but very pleasantly it was NOT a tick and was instead this Blue Dasher (Pachydiplax longipennis). He was trying to dry his wings out it seemed - probably recently emerged - and was very happy to pose for some pictures. I set him on a tree stem and he went upon his way.
Tumblr media
Another first for me was this Toebiter (Belostoma flumineum), carrying eggs on its back! Very cool animal, but given their terrible bite (they ARE called Toebiters after all), I wasn't willing to handle it for a photo op. So. Into the plastic container it went for a few quick snaps!
Tumblr media
What I actually came here for today was some Hydrilla (Hydrilla verticillata), another invasive species local to the area. But I'm looking to add some variety to my 55 gallon plant selection, and I figured it was worth a try. If it doesn't work, well, then at least I removed some invasives from the area.

ROUND TWO
CAPTAIN AHAB from MOBY DICK vs DENAHI from BROTHER BEAR
Tumblr media
PROPAGANDA:
CAPTAIN AHAB - "He wants to wrong a whale that has wronged him. And what is the best way to do that if you are a mid 19th century whaler? Whale him of course :) (and kill both of you and the entire crew of your ship in the process because such a quest could never end in any other way)" "That old man is batshit insane." "AHAB: Assigned Hater At Birth."
DENAHI - "Before the plot of the movie, Denahi is shown to work with his two brothers as fishermen for their community. He rows his kayak among the megafauna and killer whales of Northern Canada and Alaska to fish during the annual salmon run. Denahi is a natural at kayaking, fishes alongside the animal kingdom in nature, makes his own tools (spears, nets, and baskets), and when his brother doesn't tie up the salmon basket like Denahi asked, and naturally a bear destroys the basket, Denahi goes after Kenai and the bear to avenge his missing brothers and fish."

Camp Bullhorn AU
It’s your average summer camp, but with the usual twists and turns and delinquents.
Aka the entire student body of Bullworth.
This is sort of based off a novel called Feral Youth that is written by many different authors.
Also implanting aspects from Scooby Doo Camp Scare cause that movie SLAPS.
Plus some silly goofy things from Percy Jackson and the Olympians
The prefects are head counselors.
Crabblesnitch owns the camp and Ms. Danvers is the co owner.
The rest of the staff are ambassadors, they’re the ones who teach stuff like arts and crafts, kayaking, basic survival, first aid, etc.
Cliques are cabins.
Each cabin is represented by an animal.
Preps - Swans
Greasers - Coyotes
Jocks - Mooses
Nerds - Lizards
Bullies - Bobcats
Townies - Bass
Non clique students and female students are separated in respective cabins.
Camp activities include horseback riding, canoeing, fishing, kayaking, capture the flag, arts and crafts, archery, hiking, water skiing, zip-lining, swimming, paintball, and hiking.
Seth and Seymour ride around in a golf cart.
Seth drives and he does it very recklessly.
Max usually directs camp activities like capture the flag, paintball, and zip lining.
Karl is usually helping with campfire hour and the amphitheater.
Seymour does cabin checks, paperwork, directs horseback riding, and occasionally helps Max with zip-lines.
Seth directly disciplines campers and can really choose any punishment but killing them or kicking them out of camp.
Pete is a lifeguard and helps out with activities that revolve around the water.
They have an outdoor amphitheater.
They also have blackberry and strawberry fields.
They also have a basketball court and a volleyball net set up.
The lake has sand around it, it looks like a beach, the lake is also pretty damn big.
We all know why Jimmy’s here his parents don’t wanna fuck with him for three months.
Gary’s here cause he can’t leave jimmy tf alone.
Pete is here cause he works here.
Zoe is here and so is Bif cause they’re a care package.
Capture the flag is an event that indicates which cabin doesn’t have to do their chores for a week.
Which ever team loses has to take up the winner’s chores.
Same rules apply for paintball.
Usually it’s greasers, bullies, and townies against the preps, nerds, and jocks.
Justin is the on responsible for the prep and jock alliance.
Sometimes they switch up the alliance cause of bribery or fights.
They used to have ultimate frisbee but it got too competitive.
This camp had to ban Uno.
The conflict here would rely less on monsters and killers and more on the campers and counselors.
Cause the ambassadors and owners ain’t shit.
Excluding Mr. Galloway and Ms. Philips.
Sometimes Neil too.
I’m still thinking out the general plot but I got a place to start so hopefully I can turn this into a series or a one shot typa deal.

“Inupiaq Women” - dg nanouk okpik
She paddles and streams her kayak up Kobuck River. At daybreak, she passes the salt flats into   the glass water; she skims for cod and chum,          hand over oar,            hand over oar, ripples tightening the drawstring on her parka. A taffeta of cold air hits her cheeks; they are sun- wind chapped, a sign of Inupiaq women subsisting for their young families. In body, in Inuit, she thrives on the bleakest ecstatic love. Here on her knees, in her seal skin buoyant boat, her duties of her village complete, she knows her place among the caribou women. She knows her children with their earphones on, while playing video games, will not follow her in the knowledge of ice, dressing a caribou, preparing dry-fish, jarring jellies, dip netting hooligans, purse netting whitefish, tracking and setting traps for marmot, squirrels, arctic fox and wolverines. She thinks of the children, hand over oar; they will stay at the village, carve for cleaving water with Inupiat hands.

Blog 01: My relationship with nature
Hi everyone, my name is Lea, and I am in my third year of Biological Science with a minor in Zoology. This first post is about my relationship with nature and how it has developed.
I have always felt I had a strong connection with nature and animals. I care deeply for the environment and the conservation of plants and wildlife. My love for nature all began at my cottage. My grandparents bought land along the water in a small town called St. Anicet, Quebec, on Lake St. Francois in their mid-30s. My grandpa had built a small cottage for our family to visit. I have lived a better half of my life at the cottage, every summer, every school break, every chance I had. At a very young age, my grandfather had taught all the kids how to fish and drive the boat and my cousins, and I were always free to go out onto the lake and discover what it had to offer.
I have so many unforgettable memories of kayaking with my older sister and little cousins across the lake to the many islands the lake provided. We always brought butterfly nets and insect kits with tiny magnifying glasses and caught bugs and frogs all day. We would also take the little fishing boat, go to different areas of the lake, and compare the size and type of fish we had caught. One of my favourite activities was going out on the canals, just off the lake, and simply looking at the white lilies (Nymphaea odorata) floating on the water.
The freedom to explore granted by my family helped me lean into my interest in nature. Going out and discovering different aspects of the lake on my own allowed me to observe the biodiversity and wildlife present. I grew up in Ottawa, specifically the Kanata area, a quiet suburb 20 minutes from the downtown core. Growing up in the suburbs felt significantly limiting in terms of being in touch with nature. My only relationship with nature was provided when my parents would drive outside of the suburbs to visit the different NCC parks and trails. These nature trails were not accessible to me growing up as they were too far to walk or bike, and I had to rely on my parents to drive. I believe that living in the suburbs definitely limited my connection, but having a cottage to visit was indeed an escape.
My current relationship with nature has developed over the years, from relying on my parents to take me to various nature trails to having the freedom to explore my interests on my own. As I have grown older, I have been able to do my own thing and visit new ecosystems. I enjoy going on hikes with my friends, and our favourite spot is definitely the Eagles Nest Lookout in Calabogie, just outside of Ottawa. I believe that I have given myself “a sense of place” because exploring on my own has improved my relationship with nature and allowed me to expand my interests.
Here are a few photos of me at my cottage & my favourite hiking spot :)

Still can’t figure what plot you want? Couple rings always help make any plot interesting! If that’s too cheesy, then you can have promises made to each other. Who doesn’t love a good old fashion confession about their undying love by a beautiful scene? I love you goes a long way!
If you want to surprise everyone and throw us in for a loop: Try a proposing plot. We love to see them! Even juicier? A rejected proposal. Doesn’t have to mean that they’re breaking up! Just maybe not now?
We can’t wait to see what you guys come up with! Have fun! We realize we still have a while left to go before the trip comes up, but we wanted to try something new! Also, sorry this got out of hand, lol. We tried our best to be as detailed as possible to give everyone plenty of options.

Summer Activities to Take Advantage of at the Beach
We all want to make the most of summer, and what better way to do that than by spending some time at the beach? Whether you’re a beach bum or a sun-seeker, there are plenty of activities for you to try this summer. Here are five ideas for activities that will make the most of your time at the beach.
Kayaking: Kayaking is a great way to explore different parts of the beach that may not be easily accessible from land. It also provides a unique view since you’ll be in the water as opposed to on land. Plus, it’s great exercise if you get tired of laying in the sand all day!
Beach Volleyball: Beach volleyball is an iconic summer activity and it's perfect for getting your friends together for some friendly competition. The best part? You don't need any special equipment other than a net and some balls! It's easy to set up and even easier to play – so grab your friends and get ready to hit the sand!
Standup Paddle boarding (SUP): If you’re looking for something new and exciting, standup paddle boarding (SUP) is definitely worth trying out. Not only is it physically challenging, but it also offers stunning views when done in open waters like oceans or lakes. If you're feeling adventurous, why not take a SUP yoga class? It'll give you a chance to get your body moving while enjoying nature around you!
Boating: Boating is one of those activities that can be as relaxed or as wild as you want it to be – depending on what type of boat you choose! Spend an afternoon leisurely sailing around or rent out a speedboat for an adrenaline-filled ride on the waves – whatever floats your boat! And if fishing isn't your thing, just bring some snacks and drinks aboard and enjoy a sunset cruise with friends or family instead!
Beach Bonfire & S'mores: Nothing quite screams “summer night” like gathering around a bonfire with friends while roasting marshmallows over an open flame. Of course, don’t forget about making s'mores too – they’re always welcome additions to any bonfire! Plus, this activity won't cost much either; all you need are sticks, firewood, marshmallows, graham crackers, chocolate bars – voilà instant fun times with friends!
As we move into warmer weather months here in Canada it's important that we take advantage of our beautiful coastlines before winter comes back around again. So gather up your favorite people and head down to your local beach this summer - there's no better time than now for exploring new activities outdoors! From kayaking and standup paddle boarding (SUP) to beach volleyball and bonfires - there are plenty of ways for humans young and old alike to soak up some sun this season while having lots of fun along the way too! Enjoy yourselves out there folks - happy summering everyone!! : )

Character Intro: Eurus (Kingdom of Ichor)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nicknames- Lord of the East Wind by the people of Olympius
Rainman by his brothers
Mr. Moss by Apollo & Aphrodite
Age- 18 (immortal)
Location- Elis, Olympius
Personality- Out of all his brothers, Eurus is more comfortable being behind the scenes. He's independent, sensitive, soft spoken, and considerate of other people's feelings. He loves being outdoors. He's currently single.
Being the god of autumn & the east wind, he has many abilities. He can fly due to his large dark green wings. He also has the ability of phytokinesis (the power to control leaves), limited aerokinesis, limited hydrokinesis, lightning redirection, and the ability to create & control rainstorms. He can also shapeshift into a pegasus as well as communicate with them.
Eurus lives in a secluded cabin house deep in the forests of Elis. Inside, there's a continuous cool breeze blowing & there's lots of leather furniture. Dark shades of blue, green, brown, and gray are major colors.
He's the youngest of his brothers and doesn't like being treated like the baby of the group. Eurus is definitely closer to Boreas (god of the north wind), as he visits him often in the Underworld. One of his greatest wishes is for Bo & Notus (god of the south wind) to be closer again. Eurus has a decent relationship with his mother Eváeros (goddess of air & the zodiacs), despite him knowing that she has a tendency to play favorites among the brothers. He especially likes when she flies over for a visit, bringing with her the delicious and airy lemon souffle!
Aside from his brothers, he doesn't have much of a relationship with the others in the pantheon. He's friendly enough with Deipneus (god of cooking & breadmaking); loves his chicken teriyaki sandwich!, Pothos (god of longing & yearning), Melpomene (Mel) (muse of tragedy), Dionysus (god of wine), Hymenaeus (Naeus) (god of weddings), Urso (god of bears), Dike (goddess of justice), Aeolus (god of wind), Ekecheiria (Keke) (goddess of truce & armistice), Tithonus (god of insects), Carpo (goddess of autumn & fruits); loves her pumpkin bread recipe, sometimes Artemis (goddess of the hunt & moon), & even Gelos (god of laughter).
His go-to drink is an americano. He also likes green iced tea, beer, and ginger ale. His usuals from The Roasted Bean include a large roast coffee (two creams, two sugars) & a medium chocolate mocha.
His favorite treat is chocolate fudge brownie ice cream.
His favorite breakfast food is belgian waffles (topped with a pear based maple syrup). Another thing he likes to do is make a "sandwich"- scrambled eggs (with ham & onions), hash browns, and sausage gravy sandwiched between two belgian waffles. It's a big hit with his brothers!
For work, Eurus models for Platinum Alchemy as well as ViVoTrack. He also endorses Strengthify water.
He's had one serious relationship- with Chelone (goddess of tortoises). He also had a former crush on Britomartis (goddess of mountains, hunting, & fishing nets) as well as a crush on Palaestra (goddess of wrestling).
He's the only one that Zeph's been completely honest with regarding his relationship with Iris. Eurus feels like he should stop stringing her along, giving her false hope.
His favorite meal is beef & broccoli with lo mein noodles. He also enjoys white rice with a grilled chicken and kale salad (drizzled in cucumber basil dressing) & steak with garlic roasted potatoes. He also likes the veggie burger meal from Olympic Chef.
In his free time, Eurus enjoys camping. He sometimes visits New Olympus to camp out in the Celestial Woods (because he gets to spot all the constellations). He also enjoys archery, football (soccer), hiking, mountain climbing, kayaking, hunting, lacrosse, reading, painting (mostly landscapes), & even knitting.
"There are rare moments when you notice the earth breathing alongside you."

Accessories for Kayak Fishing
There are various items to consider if you're going kayak fishing. These kayak fishing gear are not only useful, but they can also help you catch more fish. Rod holders, tackle boxes, and other storage solutions for your equipment can be purchased, according to Aaron Petras. A paddle holder is one of the most crucial of these accessories, as it keeps your rod secure and tidy. Rod holders are crucial kayak fishing gear that you should bring with you on your excursion.
Another wonderful tool to consider is a GPS fish finder. It allows you to fish in deeper waters more effectively. It may be effortlessly coupled with your smartphone or tablet thanks to its transducer and wireless functionality. Waterproof fish finders can be utilized from the shore, ice, or even a float tube. Many of these items are inexpensive, making them an excellent addition to any kayak fishing accessories collection. These fish finders are available from a variety of manufacturers.
Rods, floats, rigs, hooks, and lines are some of the most crucial kayak fishing gear. The sort of water you fish in will influence the fishing equipment you require. A kayak designed for a flat, calm lake or ocean should be large enough to comfortably fit all of your gear and accessories. Also, conforming to Aaron Petras, you'll need a kayak anchor for your fishing trip. It's crucial to measure the dimensions of the water where you'll be paddling so you know you'll be able to anchor your boat.
A landing net is another kayak item that you might wish to explore. A landing net, such as the Frabill folding, telescopic net, helps keep fish safe and dry. They're also useful for holding all of the extra gear you'll need for kayak fishing. If you plan on fishing for large fish, you'll need this gear. If you're on a tight budget, however, a more basic kayak with a lower price tag might be the way to go.
If you're new to kayak fishing, a personal flotation device (PFD) or a vest is a must-have. The majority of PFDs are large, unpleasant, and inconvenient. Fortunately, Astral's Ronny Life Jacket PFD is lightweight and comfortable, and it comes with a number of features. It not only shields your skin from the sun, but it also gives an extra layer of defense to your head and neck.
Pedal drives are available on the market if you don't want to deal with batteries. These motors send power to a pair of fins using rotary pedals. This enables you to paddle further without having to use your arms. You can also cast without paddling with pedal drives. This is a great alternative for those who don't have a lot of time to devote to upkeep. While engines are more convenient, paddles and a paddle are still required.
If you have a sit-on-top kayak, you can plug the scupper holes to keep the water out while fishing. You can buy a scupper valve to help you paddle in warmer weather in addition to closing the scupper holes. If you don't want to be splashed, a scupper plug or scupper valve will keep water out of the cockpit and off the deck.
Another important kayak fishing item is a decent yak cooler. A cooler, unlike a regular kayak cooler, will keep your drinks and sandwiches cold while you fish. Choosing the correct kayak cooler is critical for a pleasant journey. Soggy sandwiches and lukewarm drinks will be served in a "traditional" cooler. Choose an Igloo 25 Qt BMX cooler for a more portable cooler. It's not too big and doesn't take up a lot of room.
If you're new to kayak fishing, a seat and rudder are essential pieces of gear. These kayak fishing equipment can keep you safe and have fun on the water. For added comfort, the seat and floor pads are adjustable and padded. Aaron Petras believes that a solid rudder will aid in steering through tight gaps and provide good forward control. If you don't feel like pedaling, there's always the motor option, which is a nice addition.
A motor is also required. A center-mounted electric motor is common in kayaks with motors. While this is the simplest option, it does limit storage capacity. If you're on a tight budget, however, a kayak without a motor is an option. You may even attach a fish finder, a camera, and other fishing gear to the board's edges. You'll be more productive for longer once you've become used to your kayak fishing gadgets.

Ahhh, what?! I'm sure your jokes don't suck! And... if they do, then we would be in the same boat. :(
Hmmm as for a funny story.... I once had a small child walk up to me and ask if she could wash her hands. I said "yes but... why?" And she said "they are sticky." Annnd I asked why again... "well, the syrup in my pockets." Now, I'm panicked. What syrup?! We have not ate pancakes. "...What syrup? Like... loose syrup??" I joke, thinking of course it's not loose syrup.
No.
No, this kid just had loose syrup in her pockets.
I used to play a game called imaginary friends with one of my friends. We made up a BUNCH of "friends" that we played with and told eaxhother about. However I never really believed in the friends we made up together.
Do you like camping? Do you prefer the city or the country? Annnd what is the weirdest pet you've ever had? (Mine is either the time I brought a stink bug into the house and tried to convince my parents to let me keep it, or a lobster.)
- 🌻
LOOSE SYRUP??? JUST RIGHT IN THE POCKETS???
I really like camping! Used to go all the time when I was little, but haven't in a while now. And we'd always make sure to go fishing during the trips too, which I loved!
I definitely like the country better! I live in a city, but everything around us is really pretty farm and blm land. Evening drives out there are the best!
Weirdest pet... I used to keep "pet" bugs when I was little. Like katydids, moths, and boxelder bugs! I would keep em in a little bug net cage thing for a day and then release them!
OH WAIT! I had chickens when I was little too! They were fun :)
You had a lobster?! I need to know more
Have you ever been kayaking? And do you like reptiles?

VA Native Fish Hunting - 22
Tumblr media
Today was a good lesson in things not needing to be exciting to be pleasant. I drove down a back road where I remembered hearing about water access - only to find the access was about 20 feet of mud and rocks. There wasn't even a good place to launch a kayak without getting scraped up. But I still spent a half hour plus there dipping around. My minnow traps came up empty but I managed to get a few neat finds.
Tumblr media
In my very first dip I went a little too low and ended up unearthing some rocks - stuck to it was this fella. I wasn't sure what he was at first, but looking through the pictures later it was pretty clear this was a Skilletfish (Gobiesox strumosus), who despite the scientific name aren't related closely at all to true Gobies. Little 2-3 inch long fish, these inoffensive guys are hard to spot even when you are looking for them. But still - a cool fish and a first for me.
Tumblr media
The most common fish here were Mummichogs (Fundulus heteroclitus), which is unsurprising given how populous they are in this river. Even then I only caught maybe 4 or 5 of them. The lack of plant life here to use as shelter really makes it hard for them to avoid the bigger predators we have the in the area, such as White Perches.
Tumblr media
Blue Crabs (Callinectes sapidus) are definitely an iconic species in this area, but sadly they are getting harder to find. Even in the years where they are sparse, there's no shortage of crab traps in the area for people looking to make a buck. I really wish we'd put a moratorium on them for a year or two, I think it would help. Regardless. This little dude was maybe 3.5 inches across the carapace and was a good find.
Tumblr media
The most populous invertebrate I caught, by FAR, were these Glass Shrimps (Palaemonetes spp. - probably P. pugio, maybe P. varians). It would be conservative to say I caught over 1 or 2 hundred while I was there with my dumpy little fishing nets. At close to 2 inches long, these guys were chunky little dudes too! I chose this picture to upload because you could cleary see the difference between the berried (right, female) and non-berried (left, presuming male) shrimps. Look at those long whiskers!
Tumblr media
Also part of why I left early were the jellyfish, which have been bad this year around here. I avoided the ones near the surface easily enough, but the water was murky and I caught a handful of them near the bottom of the riverbed. Thankfully I was wearing boots, but even then I wasn't interested in potentially harming these guys, so I made like a tree and got out of there.

A Sailing Catamaran Is The Best Vehicle To Mount Your La Paz Beach Tours
La Paz is a great beach resort destination but unlike other beach destination it is not claustrophobic. La Paz has several beaches of world mention and they are unspoiled by human invasion as it has been recognized by UNESCO as an environmentally fragile ecosystem.
La Paz has some of the most breathtakingly beautiful beaches within easy reach. Balandra Beach is noted for its unblemished aqua marine water and pristine white sands.
The beach always tops the charts and it is made up of 7 different beaches. You can take a bus, car or taxi to reach Balandra as it is situated in the North of La Paz and is within 30 minutes of travel.
The Balandra Bay is shallow and sand dunes in the middle of water make it easy to walk in the water and reach the next beach. A Sailing catamaran charter is the right vehicle to reach the beach and rest of the La Paz coastline.
A catamaran is the right transport because of the shallow water beach and you can always sue the onboard dinghy or kayak to reach the shores.
Environment protected Balandra Beach
The environment of Balandra Beach is magical as its Desert Mountains seamlessly merge in to the turquoise blue waters of the sea of Cortez.
It is spectacular sight for a beach as its appearance is rare and the ecosystem is heavenly. Luxury catamaran cruise is best suited for the trip because it is double hulled and is more stable in shallow water.
It is protected area and you will hardly find any commercialization in the area, excepting for a parking lot. You can take a kayak and sail through the mangrove and secret coves.
You can also book a catamaran to travel to Espiritu Santo where you can swim with huge mammals such as whale sharks, giant turtles, flying mantas, dolphins and large schools of colorful coral reef fishes.
You can snorkel to swim with sea lions as they are harmless and may even try to communicate with you.
Ultra luxury Baja Cat for La Paz sailing tour
The yacht measuring 60-feet has spacious deck where the layout is filled with cushion, pillows, moveable chairs, and nets over the water to enjoy the real feel of ocean.
The La Paz sailing catamaran charters can accommodate 10 plus guest and provide them with world class luxury features such as air-conditioned cabins, sleeping salons, private bathrooms, showers, free Wi-Fi, onboard open bar, huge variety of snacks, drinks, beers, and sodas  etc are mandatory during travel. a luxury catamaran cruise is the perfect travel plan in the sea of Cortez because it is fast and safe.
Experienced captain, chef, deckhand and a hostess together control the traveling and the tour and ensure that you enjoy the best La Paz tourism experience.

Prologue
It was a dark and stormy evening. There weren’t many people around, so the atmosphere was eerie. I remember walking through a cobbled path near the village on the hill; the one path the villagers told me not to go on. But I couldn’t care.
I am an adventurer, my parents said so. They took me to countless voyages and made me witness so many people and monsters alike being slain on their ship. I will not be deterred by some stupid villager warning.
They could know about this area more than you do, you know. A tiny voice in my head whispered.
I heed it no attention. I was arrogant and foolish. The only gratification I would get was only from proving I am better, more brave. The greater the conquest, the better of a conqueror I am. How truly naive I was.
As I walked down the path, I couldn’t help but to remember all those voyages so many years ago. It was like my life flashed before my eyes; scary and beautiful.
“Metra, look! I caught a fish with my bare hands!” I yelled at Metra who was standing near the kayak. She smiled and waved her hands, and then continued talking to Petra. Metra and Petra are very amazing, you see. They have this large ship, The Marksman. Petra said that at one point, he took down a sea dragon with one of Marksman’s arrows. I believe him.
I ran to where Metra was standing. With the fish in my tiny hands, I struggled to keep my balance.
“Steady there little privateer. Wouldn’t want you to fall and lose the fishy now, do we?” Petra said as he took the animal from my hands.
“This is quite the large fish. How did you catch it with your hands?” Petra asked with a smile on his face.
“Oh, well Danderion helped me! He set up the net and then BOOM! Fishy was there. And then I took it with my hands!” I answered eagerly. Surely if I was the one who pulled it out of the water, then I’m the one who caught the fish, right?
Metra laughed out loud and picked me up before saying, “It’s not your achievement if Danderion is the one who set the trap for you. Next time, set it up yourself. Who knows? You might get a bigger fishy!”
When the last of the flashback ends, I was way ahead of the end of the pathway. Ruins stood before me, large slabs of stones which looked like a shade of their former glory. Runes of a language I had not yet spoken was etched on top of a throne-like chair. There was a faint glow from each of the runes — it felt like they were trying to speak to me.
Suddenly, the storm got heavier. The winds picked up their pace and felt like they were racing each other. I kept looking at the runes and noticed that one of them shone brighter than the rest.
Mindlessly walking towards the throne-like chair, I kept trying to convince myself that this was not wrong.
So why does it feel like I don’t belong? What is this place? What was it supposed to be? What was it before it was these ruins?
I climbed the chair and reached out to the shining rune in the center. There was a crack on the stone from where the rune shone. Inside it, a stone. Or at least that was what I presumed. It looked like it was part of a bigger stone that was cut into multiple pieces.
“What are you?” I asked to the stone. “What is your purpose? Why are you here? What is this place?”
The stone seemed to twinkle in response. I turned it around on my palms in hopes of an answer, but there was none.
Disappointed, I turned my back from the chair hoping that I would see the cobbled pathway.
If there was nothing here, why would you lead me here you Gods forsaken sea?
I cursed under my breath and made my way back towards the pathway, only to find the pathway gone.
“Aeress, daughter of Matilde and Diony, twin-sister of Eris. We have been waiting for you.” A voice from behind me spoke.
I turned around swiftly and drew my arrow only to find the space empty.
“Show yourself!” I yelled into the rain.
“Flattered be not, girl. You can not see me now, yet very soon we will meet. I shall wait until the day you come to me. I have been needing an apparentice for some time, now.” The voice spoke again. Gods, how hard is she yelling if I can hear her clearly through the storm?
“I’m not yelling, you foolish girl. I just told you, you cannot see me. I am standing right here,” The voice sounded near at this point. I ran towards the throne and drew my arrow towards where I was standing earlier.
“I will not ask again, show yourself now and I will spare you,” I spoke again, quieter this time. I was certain she could hear me even if I whisper.
The voice laughed, it was smooth and husky. The voice of an old woman. It sounded like the voice of Danderion. But that can’t be. Danderion is dead. I saw her die right before my eyes. I burned her corpse. So who is this?
“You ask so many questions, and yet none of them are the right one. As I have said, we will meet again. Until then, take care of the amulet for me. I will come to collect it soon.”
“Come back here!” I screamed.
And then opened my eyes. Eris is towering over me, shaking my body into oblivion. Panic is clear as day in his eyes as he said, “Ressie! What was that? Why were you screaming?”
His hands kept still on my shoulders as I blink once. Twice. Right, the dream.
“No, it was just some stupid dream. I’ll be fine,” I said, shrugging him off. Eris knows that I have been having these nightmares for about three months now. Ever since we embarked on this voyage, I have lost count on how many nights I spent on the docks simply because I woke up too often from these nightmares.
I sit up from the bed, away from a worried Eris. “I’m fine, Eris, you can go back to sleep now,” I say to him as I put on my nightrobe.
“The screaming, Res, it was louder than the nights before. Are you sure you’re okay?” He asked with a frown etched to his face.
“Yes, Eris. Now go back to sleep,” I sternly said to him. I walk out of my room below the docks and head upstairs. I feel like I need some air.
Eris was right. I’m not even sure that I’m okay. There was some eerie feeling that I can’t quite shake off. Before this, the dreams usually come in parts. Like a puzzle that I need to solve.
Parts. The stone! What was that stone? Why did I pick it up?
Because the stone smells like danger and you get off on danger, you idiot. A small voice in my head tells me. Which would be correct. I’m sure if the situation was real I would do exactly the same thing.
I suddenly feel something in my pocket as I’m staring into the vast sea. Yelena probably snuck in a hand-rolled cigarette earlier when we were talking. Eager from the thought, I reach into my pocket only to find something hard and cold brushing my hand.
No. No way that was real. I pull the thing out of my pocket, and Gods be damned.
It’s the same stone from my dream.
