Not to be a basic-ass bitch but ngl if I was a JRPG protagonist with a dark past I'd forgotten about I'd also put my hands on my head during a scene of heightened tension while I groan and scream out "N-NO...I CAN'T- IT'S ALL...TOO MUCH... AHHHH" as I fall to my knees and can hear my lover from my past life yell "It's time, you need to remember now, my love" before I look up and the camera spins but comes to a halt at my left eye and suddenly all of the sounds in the scene stop and my eye gains more colour before there's a fade to black and then fade back in to me sitting on a chair with a blanket and I thoughtfully say "I remember now. I remember all of it..." and then we transition into a flashback/exposition dump. I'm a bit of a normie when it comes to that
