I stared season 2 of My Hero with my nephew today, like two episodes, and I half mentioned that Iida and Uraraka were for sure going to wind up married some day, and my nephew disagreed with me.

So I think, “Oh cause the show actually builds her up to be with Deku, right?”

To which my nephew’s like, “No, I’m pretty sure he and Bakugo are going to end up together at some point.”

And that’s where that conversation ended because I was so physically stunned by my 11 year old nephew picking up on Bakugo’s very unsubtle gay panic crush on Izuku that I actually didn’t remember to ask him why he didn’t think Iida and Uraraka are literally the cutest pairing.

Whats your opinion on other ship? ones like kiribaku, tododeku, izuchoko , todobaku, ect manly other popular ships?

Hi, here’s a brief rundown on my thoughts regarding the more popular ships in MHA 😊. Again, these are my opinions, so if you disagree, that’s fine.

Any Katsuki ship is one I dislike because I dislike Katsuki and the other person in question deserves so much better. Same goes for all Eraserhead and Hitoshi ships.

I don’t have any strong feelings for IzuOcha. It’s cute and as far as Shonan canon shipping goes it’s one of the better ones by far but that’s really all I feel about it.

TodoDeku is definitely my favorite gay pairing in MHA. I think the two definitely have great chemistry and would work well.

TodoMomo isn’t really my cup of tea. Feels like your typical hot guy x hot girl ship.

DenkiJirou has too much sibling energy vibes for me to ship them. Ironically Denki’s my second favorite MHA character and Kyouka’s my third, so you think I’d ship it, but I don’t.

MomoJirou kinda feels empty to me. They work more as friends to me than as a couple.

KiriMina’s cute. I like the whole childhood friends aspect they got going on. I don’t particularly ship it but it’s cute.

IzuTsuyu’s another cute one. Again, I don’t have any strong feelings towards it, but it’s cute.

Mashirao/Tooru is just filler ship to me. Lazy, uninspired, and just outright boring. Tooru’s my favorite MHA character so I’m especially picky about her ships 😂.

IidaDeku I see more as friends. That’s pretty much it.

IidaOcha I can see working, but that’s really it on my thoughts on them.

IzuToga’s my favorite villainXhero ship. Something about two victims of the world they live in joining up despite being on opposite sides speaks to me.

TogaOcha doesn’t really work for me just because Ochako seems a little too different from Himiko for their union to make sense.

KendoMomo is meh. I don’t ship it. That’s really all I got to say.

I think I saw you reblog some Iidaocha (Tenya Iida/Ochako Uraraka) art a little while ago and it just so happens to be my OTP. So, mind sharing some reasons to ship Iidaocha with the rest of your followers and get this ship the respect it deserves?

I'm not really a hardcore IidaOcha shipper so forgive me if I don't have a lot of reasons but

- nerd and sweet partner trope

- strong shortie and supportive buff nerd. She practically decimates Bakugou in training and Iida's on the sidelines cheering loudly. He loves his strong girlfriend!!!

- they'd be really good at encouraging each other. they already are!

- rich partner x broke partner. that dynamic is full of sweet moments, learning each other's lifestyle and comedy too

- gym dates (because ocha wants to get stronger and save money, so she uses UA's facilities as much as possible. iida doesn't mind at all) but also fancy dinner dates (at iida's insistance because he loves treating his girlfriend and watching her marvel over the food and restaurant)

- iida doesn't mind the gym dates but when they first started dating he was like "don't dates usually include candle lit dinners and steak and violins?" and he still goes along with her because he loves how pumped she gets (also she can really overdo it sometimes so he tries to steer her in the right direction)

- I would say maybe the money aspect BUT I also feel like Iida would try and pay for things sometimes and she'd be like "no I'm gonna pay for it with my own money!!😤" so he wholeheartedly encourages her in her work and studying and yes she'll let him pay for necessary things that are needed immediately (and the odd date where he takes her some place fancy "because you deserve it!"). She always gives him a big kiss after that and Iida's pretty much No Thoughts Head Empty for the rest of the night after those days

- of course they go on park dates and stuff like that, but 1a find it funny that some days they will come back in gym clothes, sweaty and ready to collapse, and others they will come back in fancy clothes and cute blushes. The duality

- comedy couple. both are sweet, but also ridiculous. if you read their texts, more often than not you will see ones with !!! and !!!!! in them, because they love each other so much

- ocha is >:D and iida is B□

- height difference!! hell yeah!! ochako having to lean up to kiss him! iida having to bend down to kiss her! lovely

- glasses stuff. ocha can be found, sometimes, wearing his glasses. she's just being goofy but iida keeps sighing and telling her to take them off or she'll mess up her eyes. she then ends up propping the glasses up on her head, which pushes her hair back and makes her look goofy but also pretty and iida can't stop looking at her

- oh and also, glasses smooches. usually its fine but sometimes iida's glasses will steam up from kissing or ochako bumps into them, and sometimes the glasses end up half falling off his face. ocha asked once if he'd consider wearing his contacts outside of work and iida said he'd probably feel out of sorts wearing them, saying he doesn't mind them but really prefers glasses. still, he keeps the contacts in one day and ochako REALLY CAN'T STOP LOOKING AT HIM and his pretty eyes. he looks very handsome and she can't help but squeal when he looks at her

"you look like a bad boy!!" "i do?" he asks with sort of a smile since this is having such an effect on her. But her embarrassment and nervousness get to a point where she can't even kiss him before falling into nervous giggles and hiding her hot red face. so, alas, the glasses go back on, for ocha's sake more than iida (he got kinda worried about her after the 50th time of ocha collapsing to the floor in a heap of embarrassment and overwhelming stutters)

its okay though. they get around it one way or another and it makes iida laugh so, it's a bonus in ocha's book

- i also find it funny because one attempted to kill someone, THEE stain of all people. literally buff nerd x sweet/strong partner but the nerd tried to kill someone. that's very funny to me

- are you kidding me, they are a Force To Be Reckoned With. iida's super strong and SUPER fast, and people look at ocha like she's a soft marshmallow who can ONLY float things and clear debris, not a menacing bone in her body - but she fuckin takes them down and performs her Gun Head Martial Arts and iida is head over heels for it

- look i like Sweet Partner Admiring Strong Tall Partner but what about Strong Tall Partner Admiring Short Sweet And Strong Partner? They were made for that!!

- listen okay Ocha deserves to be hyped up by her super strong boyfriend

- she'd probably love iida's parents. marvel at their richness. iida shows her all the hero costumes throughout the family and he's all proud and happy and she's all happy cuz he's happy and it's really sweet

- though I think the families would clash just a bit. i mean, rich family vs down-to-earth working class parents? there's gonna be something there. they mostly get along but they do argue now and again. so thats smthg for comedy and drama. "but mama, i love him/her!!😤" you know?

- i feel there's like. some hurt/comfort in their dynamic too? like iida learning ocha lived on her own during early first year and admiring her for that strength and bravery but finding out she didn't even eat most of the time and just like. making sure she eats as much as she can now. he's always making sure that she eats breakfast lunch and dinner. he just keeps his eye on her, yknow? and if there are times when he notices her stomach grumbling and she ignores it, or notices she hasn't eaten yet, he's always placing oranges next to her or mochi or an actual meal and gently telling her to eat. she gives excuses sometimes, saying she's "gone longer without food before so this is fine" (its not fine ocha) and he softly chides her, encouraging her again. she always eats on the second nudge

- iida having some stuff about his brother and ocha comforting him over that. maybe there's a point where he fails to do smthg and brings up The Deeper Meaning - "am I worthy of the name Ingenium?" - and. yeah. ocha comforts him, reminds him of what he can do, how proud she is of him etc

- also, the muffler stuff. how ironic that iida would chide someone over overworking themselves but he's basically pulling himself apart in order to get stronger, and he sees no fault in that. ocha sees that and reminds him he is already strong, he is already amazing, he is already a hero

More like scenarios I think ejxjskdk but still. I can definitely see the potential in shipping them! There's a lot of cute awkward moments but also they would support each other so much! AND you have room for hurt and comfort too. Can't go wrong with their dynamic, really

Oh my God, thanks for sending an ask in! No one's actually done that before when I've reblogged ask games and stuff, so uhh, here we go! And since you said unexpected virigin, this might get a little NSFW.

So I am 20 miles deep in MHA Hell and while I absolutely love Tododeku, I do not give my favorite ship enough attention so this is actually going to be for Iidaocha: Tenya Iida/Ochako Uraraka.

Now, I think Ochako might be a bit of the jealous type. She isn't fond of Toga after all, especially with her catching on to her crush on Izuku. So Ochako is probably glad when those feelings fizzle out and she's no longer distracted by them. She can focus on being a good Hero and making her dream come true.

She starts working out more with Iida too, since even though their fighting styles are very different, she thought it would be useful to work on her speed and just generally increase her build, kinda like Iida is. It's a lot more fun than she expected and they get closer.

When one day, who should visit UA but Iida's dear friend from middle school. Someone who Iida hugs more easily than he hugs her. Someone who has bigger boobs than Ochako and is curvier than Ochako and all around prettier than Ochako. Someone who has soft hands that hold Iida's so easily, while Iida only ever holds her beat up and calloused hands if he's pulling her up off the ground, or bringing her back down to earth.

Suddenly her jealousy comes back with a vengeance and she hates this because no! Damnit no! She does not have time for romance and she can not let some hot childhood friend of Iida's distract her!

It doesn't help when this hot childhood friend catches on to Ochako's jealousy and teases her about it too!

"Tenya-chan and I have known each other for a long time. In fact, we used to take baths together when we were 4."

"We've been to the beach so many times and every time Tenya-chan only grows more handsome."

"I was so happy when Tenya-chan started wearing an undercut, it made it so much easier to massage his head when we... hehehe."

It's bad enough that Ochako has to deal with this bitch draping herself all over Iida while he doesn't even bat an eye at, even though he'll lecture Todoroki and Midoriya about public displays of affection. Now Ochako knows that Iida and her have been intimate together and he's most likely unavailable. Ochako thought that would make her less angry, but no, now she's extra miffed and sad!

Ochako is more than happy when that bitch finally leaves UA.

But now she's stuck with heat in her cheeks and in her core any time she thinks about Iida and how he's almost definitely had sex with this girl. The tension even starts effecting their training.

After Ochako sends herself catapulting through the sky for the 4th time and Iida catches her, he has them take a break and talk about what's wrong.

Ochako denies that anything is wrong of course. But she does try to subtly ask questions about Iida's childhood friend.

Iida does explain a bit more about her. They were quite close as children and many people thought they were dating one another in middle school. Even their parents would joke about their engagement and would make wedding arrangements and she would teasingly call Iida her fiance when they would be teased for dating.

Ochako is going to snap.

Then Iida reveals that he was actually the first person she came out to as a lesbian.

Cue Ochako's shock and her shouting about how that girl made Ochako think that she and Iida had sex.

Cue Iida going on a lecture about how that is incredibly inappropriate especially when they weren't even graduated from high school yet.

Ochako is beyond humiliated and accidentally reveals that she was jealous of how close Iida and his friend were. And Iida starts blushing because he's shocked that Ochako was so effected by his friend's plan to help Iida confess to the girl he likes.

Ochako tries to back pedal and save their friendship while not dying inside and Iida reveals that uhh... Ochako is the girl he likes.

Cue confessions, talking about boundaries and when their wedding is held roughly 10 years later, that best friend of Tenya's is their best woman and happy endings all around.

bakujirou, minaiida, & iidaocha 💜

Bakujirou - I like the ship, but I could not pull off writing it. I doubt I can capture the vibes this ship gives off. I could try, but it would probably be more 'miss' than 'hit'.

MinaIida - I'd probably have a better chance at writing this ship better because one, it's a rarepair. I have a knack for writing rarepairs apparently. Not often, but a couple of times I've been told. Two, these characters are kinda easy for me to write, so I could probably write these two.

IidaOcha - Like with MinaIida, I could for similar reasons. It's not a rarepair from what I'm aware of, but regardless, their dynamic and personalities could be fun for me work with.

Midoriya considered himself a pretty brave guy. He’d fought several villains, and had quite honestly come pretty close to killing some of them. 

That being said, he also had a weakness for attractive people. And Shoto Todoroki was a very attractive person.

“Ask him out,” they said, Midoriya thought bitterly as he threw an unconfident glance back at Iida and Uraraka. “It’ll be fine,” they said. Fine my ass, this is stressful.

Todoroki forehead creased as the green-haired boy approached him. “Midoriya are you okay?”

“Yeah of course!” Midoriya all but shouted, going ramrod straight “Why wouldn’t I be? Everything’s fine!”

“You don’t look fine,” Todoroki remarked. “you look like you’re about to pass out.”

“Yeah, that seems about right,” Midoriya admitted, visibly deflating. “I’ve, uh, I’ve gotta tell you something. O-or ask you something actually.”

“What is it?”

“Wanna like- I mean, if you’re not busy... we could get lunch? Or even just coffee if you don’t have a lot of time?”

Todoroki blinked. Whatever he had expected Midoriya to ask, that wasn’t it. “Sure.”

“You don’t have to- wait, really?”

“Yeah. My father’s trying to spend time with me,” the heterochromic boy said slowly, his face twisting into a disgusted expression at the thought. “I told him I had plans, but that wasn’t necessarily true. I’ve got plenty of time for lunch.”

Midoriya grinned shakily, glee starting to spread throughout his body. “That’s great! Is Saturday okay?”

“Sure. There’s a soba place near my home I go pretty often. I could take you there?”

“Yeah! Let’s do it!”

While the boys chatted and planned, Uraraka peaked around the hall to watch them. “Ooh, I think it’s going well! I knew it’d all be okay!”

“Uraraka, we shouldn’t spy!” Iida placed a firm hand on her shoulder and swiveled her away from the corner. “I’m happy for them, but they deserve their privacy! We should’ve left the moment Midoriya walked up to him!”

“I know, I know,” Uraraka sighed heavily. “Man, I wish I had a date. It’d be nice to have someone care that much.”

Iida cleared his throat, readjusting his glasses in an attempt to hide the slight blush working it’s way to his face. “A-as I told Midoriya, while you should feel free to follow your desires, a student’s top priority-”

“-is academics, yeah, yeah. You’re a broken record, aren’t you Iida?” The brunette lightly teased, elbowing her friend playfully. “I can dream though, right?”

Todoroki and Midoriya passed the two, still deep in conversation. Iida’s eyes followed them, taking in Midoriya’s excited air and Todoroki’s rare smile. He glanced back to Uraraka, who was also watching the pair, a small sad smile crossing her face.

Iida allowed himself his own smile, which he quickly smothered when the girl glanced back up at him. 

Maybe you won’t have to dream for long.

i was kinda excited like “ok I can do this” until I got to ‘other than krbk’

SO LIKE...the only other ship I’m actively pretty into is (1) iidaocha! I don’t read a lot of fic or anything and it’s kinda a rare pair (like I get why but their canon moments are really cute) so I don’t see a ton of art but I like them a lot, I like that iida’s seriousness unintentionally makes uraraka laugh

honestly as a big Lesbian And Lover Of Women I should be more into ships with the girls but I’m really not that invested? i think bc none of their relationships are really explored in canon beyonds “here are some high school girls being a big friend group uwu uwu because they’re the only 6 girls in a class of 20 uwu uwu”. they’re good in theory but I can’t place a solid dynamic to most of them? I really like (2) minajirou (obviously lol) and (3) ochamina in theory! i think they’re sweet and I would/consider writing them

even though I wouldn’t consider myself an active shipper or really look for content ofc I think (4) kirideku is cute too!

other than that....hhmph...I really am not a big shipper :/ i will say though i think todobaku can be really funny when people play on that angle (them being crazily unadjusted socially) instead of just making it kinda steamy, so, that would be five!

Hmmm... a rarepair. I think I could work with this one. I like giving rarepairs a try and this one, I kinda like thinking about it. It's kind of funny this is the third ship I got ask with Iida involved with a pink girl. The classic blue boy/pink girl trope!

Anyways, I think this ship could be a fun one. I haven't seen any art or fics for it, like at all, but I'm not against trying it out myself. Their personalities are so different, but there's just that appeal of a quirky person paired with a not-so-quirky person that I like.
