Love For Sale is a random idea I had after I started re-watching Hollywood on Netflix. And it's a mystery story that involves our new boi Tim Rockford! I kind of wanted to do a reluctant allies story with him where he's forced to solve a case with someone. And I figured why not pair him up with a Hollywood Starlet who has been involved in a recent disappearance/murder case.

I don't believe there's a person on earth who can watch Veronica Lake in I Married A Witch and not be struck by how gorgeous she is. She had that youthful wonder about her that almost every Hollywood starlet was trying to achieve. Her hairstyle (peekaboo bangs) became an iconic Hollywood style after she popularized it, and made her signature look all the more suggestive. Also, witches are tumblrs favorite!

You’ve definitely seen Bugs Bunny dressed up like her, so I think if she’s being honored in such a way she’s very cool.

Rambling about fic writing

So I’m thinking and I really wanna write a crossover fic.

But of course I want to throw a few universes into one crossover.

I like Persona 5 a lot. I have sunk 200+ hours into Persona 5 Royal, and I’m still not done (my inner completionist would start screaming if I didn’t comb through every inch of the game as much as possible).

So of course I found a glorious Miraculous Ladybug and Persona 5 crossover and immediately my brain was like. I need more of this.

I need to MAKE more of this.

Speaking of which if you’re a miraculous ladybug fan and a persona 5 fan read this:

It is a really good Miraculous Ladybug and Persona 5 crossover and has prompted me to desire to write my own.

But of course my brain was like ‘Forget just Miraculous Ladybug, I can add more to this’

Which is how I’m now facing down writing a KR, P5, Miraculous, MLPEG, and RWBY crossover. 

Because I’m insane. 

Granted my defense for this is:

Look I just want to see KITT, Sunset Shimmer, Marinette Dupain-cheng and Ruby Rose as Phantom Thieves BARE MINIMUM

And some of you might be like.

To which I reply.

Admittedly at the moment I really only have how KR and Miraculous will get crossovered into P5 (they’ll all just coexist in the same world cause those three they’re still set in basic earth at their core. Just with... their own shenanigans that can still play nice with each other... mostly)

Plus I also just love the Miraculouses and I would in turn like to see the thieves using the miraculous.

Why do I need KITT involved? Because I love my talking car okay!

The thieves and Marinette could use a semi-adult confidant in their corner. 

But mostly for talking car shenanigans.

This was mostly just posted because I need either people to be like ‘Jet, no’

In which I will write it out of spite XD because the idea for the first palace in this crossover is too good. And even if everyone’s like ‘why do you do this’

I need it out of my brain.

Decided to give it a quick once-over with a couple more instrument lines and some editing after listening to the original theme again. Granted, I only listened to it once... two days ago... after I first posted the original. So it’s still very much just my mental impressions of the theme, rather than me trying to completely remake it.

All I really added was my own twist on the double-beat bassline that runs alongside the rapid bassline, and the higher chords and a quick downard creeping pseudo-arpeggio. I think it ended up a little more digital sounding than the original, which wasn’t originally what I was going for. But since my style seems to be all about blending digital and analog, I guess I can’t really say I’m surprised.

Come to think of it, since most of my memories of this song were from when I first saw it in middle school, that was before I really had much experience with polyphony of any kind. My school district only had choir and band, and I played violin. No band instruments. So I joined choir just to be able to do something with music, but I didn’t have a chance to play in anything resembling an ensemble until high school. And even then, it wasn’t school related. It was a local youth orchestra that only met once a week. So I didn’t really get a chance to learn how to listen to and feel polyphonic music until after this show. That might explain why I didn’t remember some of the extra musical parts, I just didn’t know how to properly listen for and categorize them when I heard them at the time.
