Cg Chuuya/Kitten Dazai

This is my first time posting anything Petre, so please tell me what you think.

Dazai was clinging to Chuuya, rubbing his cheek against Chuuya's arm. This did not happen often. Yes, Dazai did regress, often actually, but not like this. Usually, when Dazai regressed, he was age regressed, but this time, Dazai was pet regressed. Right now, he was in the headspace of a kitten.

Chuuya ran his free hand through Dazai's hair as if he was petting him whilst Dazai sighed happily. Chuuya paused, which caused Dazai's eyes to flutter open, looking up at Chuuya, moving his head to the side in a questioning manner.

"Do you want something to eat?" Chuuya asked. Dazai nodded, blinking. "Alright, let's go." Chuuya said, getting up. Dazai whined as Chuuya left him on the couch before Chuuya turned back around to pick him up.

Chuuya carried Dazai into the kitchen. Getting a bowl out, Chuuya filled it with Goldfish. As he made his way back to the couch, he now held the bowl of Goldfish in one hand, and he carried Dazai in the other arm.

Sitting back onto the couch, Chuuya started to feed the Goldfish to Dazai, who purred. Chuuya was a bit surprised by this at first but ignored it so as not to make Dazai uncomfortable and in favour of feeding Dazai more Goldfish until he turned his head away, not wanting to eat any more.

"Okay, okay. You don't have to eat anymore." Chuuya laughed, placing the bowl containing the remaining Goldfish on the table next to the couch. Dazai started to shift around on the couch, restless.

"Are you bored?" Chuuya asked. Dazai meowed in response, which Chuuya knew meant yes as Dazai had two different sounding meows, and one meant no whilst the other meow meant yes.

"Okay, what do you want to do?" Chuuya asked. Dazai didn't respond. He just left Chuuya on the couch, and returned to the room with one of those jingly cat balls that had the bell inside.

Dazai sat on the ground, and started to bat the ball around. He started by rolling the ball over the ground from one hand to the other, but then he started to hit it away from himself, chasing after it, then hitting ot away from himself again, repeating the process.

He did this for quite some time, eventually tiring himself out. He climbed back up onto the couch, curling up next to Chuuya, who started to gently pet Dazai as Dazai started to purr, and slowly drift off to sleep in Chuuya's comforting embrace.

dazai and soft touches. his fingers are like feathers on your skin, ever so lightly brushing over the apple of your cheek as you ramble about your day. he's staring at you with a lovesick smile (one that would surely make kunikida vomit his heart out)(he is happy that dazai has you now though)(he just wishes he didn't have to see it).

he traces your freckles and birthmarks before pushing a strand of hair behind your ear. you're trying really hard to not show him how much of an effect he has on you but it's hard – you keep stumbling over your words and he thinks you're absolutely adorable.

whenever you have a bad headache, he makes you lay down on his lap. he tells you to close your eyes with a whisper and you do. he drags his slender fingers across your nose, massaging the skin so, so gently. he puts just a tad more pressure into the strokes as he moves down from between your furrowed brows. it works. he can see and feel you relax into him, your fingers loosening their grip on the hem of his sweater.

he then focuses solely on your brows. he pushes up and over them, quite literally smoothing away the pain. he listens to your soft breaths, he observes the way the corner of your lips twitch every once in a while. he loves it when you melt into him, when you allow yourself to relax in his hold. he takes pride in being able to make you feel better with the simplest touches.

ok but if we're talking about pre-relationship dazai... he's just a little more reserved. he's holding back. a lot. moving through a crowd, he doesn't hold your hand – he just links your fingers, or maybe even just your pinkies. and it somehow feels even more intimate than actually holding hands. neither of you comment on it though. he's holding onto you so gently, the tug is almost non-existent and it just feels right.

saw a post abt him fidgeting a lot and i haven't stopped thinking about it. he does it with yout hand, too. you're just standing in a line, waiting to order a cup of coffee when you suddenly feel him taking your smaller hand into his. you don't ask, only merely eyeing him quietly. he hums to himself as he holds it; he compares the sizes but his face doesn't change, doesn't show whether he liked the difference or not. he traces the lines on your palm and tries to count them all. he isn't startled when you take a step forward as the line moves up, he just steps alongside you without ever raising his eyes. you let him do his thing.

i also think he likes to twirl a strand of your hair between his fingers a lot. he seems to be doing this very mindlessly aswell. seems. he literally never says anything about it, he just does it.

ALSO!! seemingly random and accidental touches!!!! he hands you a cup of coffee and his fingers brush over yours, he swipes an eyelash from your cheek with a smile, he boops your nose as he teases you. and whenever he passes by you, his hands linger on your waist or on your lower back. he acts like all of these are not intentional, that they just happened but he knows exactly what he's doing. he's just a little touch starved, okay?? but he doesn't really know how to voice it yet:((((((((

OH MY GOSH WAIT I NEED TO JOIN IN ON THE CAT!SKK HEADCANONS!! This time with them both as cats again!

Cat!chuu would be the type to groom cat!Zai anytime they lay together which is almost all the time. Cat!chuu often holds cat!zai down between his paws but cat!zai loves it secretly (This means cat!zai is almost perpetually a little moist oops). Cat!zai grooms cat!chuu a little less but still returns the affection.

More often cat!zai likes to sneak attack cat!chuu. Chuuya is lazing by the window and suddenly Dazai is pouncing on them and then they're running all around the house play fighting. Dazai is also the cat that sleeps all day but gets 3am zoomies.

Okay. You got me. You found me out. The reason I started my ‘Kitten Era’ fic was because I thought of a scene where catzai would get possessed at 3 AM to shout grievances about his day but I was never able to post it because I switched out the layout and I didn’t have anywhere to put it… yet 💀🫶

BUT I LOVE THESE SO MUCH!!! Another catzai and catchuu lover 🤝 🥹

Cat!chuu grooming catzai because he knows catzai is lazy and he won’t do it otherwise making his fur mangy and spikey everywhere. Catzai wants to do everything else BUT take care of himself 😭 Catzai would ABSOLUTELY love being in the clutches of catchuu but he can’t admit that out loud. He likes Chuuya’s rough tongue on his coat combing his fur until it’s glistening and knot free.

My head cannon is catzai is always stalking catchuu to pounce him and wrestle because he has a lot of energy while catchuu is more of the silly cat type - like failing his jumps miserably, or skidding out of control because he has a long coat or knocking over things out of boredom and to see other’s reactions 🐈

I have to pet them all… I NEED TO HUG AND KISS AND GIVE TREATS AND CATNIP AND PLUSH THEIR BEDS EVERY NIGHT AND TUCK EM IN AND AND AND - GAH I LOVE THEM! I love that you also love them too!!! 🥹
