trying to get rid of my yarn stash hhh

just making a bunch of leg/armwarmers from scraps and yarns i don't have enough of for anything else

(time to buy more yarn then? hhhh not yet)

Swatched some stretchy cast-ons and bind-offs for 1x1 ribbing for a pair of leg warmers:

Left to right, top to bottom:

Alternating German twisted CO, sewn BO.

Double-tail long-tail CO (should have done alternating but didn't think of it), super stretchy crochet BO (basically Jeny's surprisingly stretchy BO but done with a crochet hook).

Latvian CO, Latvian BO.

Bulgarian CO, Kitchener/Italian BO.

I suspect I will go with swatch #4: the cast-on is pretty, and the bind off doesn't flare.

Switched up my mittens project for something a little different. The mittens really were far too large, so I ripped out the increases and started some leg warmers instead. Obsessed with the color palette and excited to see the color work come to life.

Leg warmers for my mother in law. This has to be one of the prettiest yarns I've used 😍

It's inspired by a Finnish chocolate called geisha made by Fazer.

Once upon a time I was going to knit myself some mittens. For reasons well ignored the mittens were far to large... so I switched up my game plan and made some leg warmers instead!

how’s knitting going???

GOOD i finished the body of my sweater & it’s so comfy & cute!!! just gotta knit the sleeves & i’ll be done…had a setback today tho i’ve been using a wikihow article 2 learn how 2 knit this sweater & so far it hasn’t led me wrong but i followed the measurements it suggested for the sleeves & the first one i knitted turned out way too small…waste of like 5 hours….gonna try 2 wing it tomorrow & see if i can use a different method 2 make ones that turn out better <3
