Deze boom is op 6 september 1898 geplant ter ere van de kroning van koningin Wilhelmina. Wilhelmina zou 50 jaar regeren over Nederland. In The Netherlands it’s a long tradition to plant a tree, preferably a lime tree, in honor of a new monarch. This tree was planted in 1898 when queen Wilhelmina was crowned.
