The Only One I Want
Tumblr media
Part 1
Karina x Fem! Reader
Karina knew she was pretty. She knew she had a chance with everyone, however, she was forever against any romantic relationships ever since she became an idol. Why would she want anyone when all they ever do is love her for her fame and looks? She knew she could never find anyone perfect for her, so she gave up on romance... until she met you
Word Count- 2.8k
Warnings- Mention of men
Week after week Karina was cursed with yet another blind date set up by her company. She would urgently burst into her managers room, promptly falling down onto her knees, hands speedily racing against each other as if she was bound to make a fire, begging to go at least a month without any blind dates.
To her dismay, however, not surprise, her manager would always shake her head firmly. “We need you to do this for us Karina. Do you have any idea how much attention would follow us if Yu Jimin was to find the perfect man?” She would say, and all Karina could do was sigh, walking out of the room with her head hung to her feet.
It was another day in which her company had set up a date once again, this time, they informed her it would be at one of Seoul’s most popular art museums, where she would be meeting the man in about an hour from now.
Karina couldn’t help but dread the upcoming event, knowing that her members got to stay back at the company and practice whatever they wished with their dance instructor, as there was no schedule for them this day.
Karina wished she could be apart of that. She wished she could be in the dance practice room, and she reminisced with the feeling of laughter and sweat filling the air of the unreasonably hot place. It was all she wanted... to spend time with her members doing stupid “idol shit" on her days off.
Yes, she was an idol, not a dating show contestant. Why couldn’t her company see this?
And on top of everything, she had never been fond of dating, as every possible boy she’s met was only ever after her looks, or how much money was in her pockets. “Why don’t I take you home tonight”, she heard almost constantly after every date. It was upsetting to say the least, and as a result, Karina turned down any possible instance in which a boy could waltz their way into her heart. It wasn’t what she wanted. She wanted her members. She wanted to be on stage. She wanted to be in the studio.
Instead, Karina found herself in the back of her managers car, mask almost suffocating her face as her hat floated just above her line of vision. Although she went on many dates, she was always forced to cover her identity, as her manager elucidated how bad it would be if the public was to see their sweetheart being accompanied by a new man every week. They wanted her to find the right one, then she could freely express herself to the public (though she knew it would never happen).
“We’ve almost arrived, make sure you put your glasses on before you step out.” Her manger expressed from the passenger seat, where she responded with a small nod. If her mask was clipped on any tighter, she swore her manger would be able to see her frown seeping through.
Only a minute later, the car pulled to a stop, just beside an almost identical car in the parking lot. Karina stepped out, her glasses now shielding her eyes as the door to the adjacent car rolled open just in front of her.
“It’s nice to finally meet you, Jimin”, a voice could be heard in front of her.
Karina raised her head, gaze connecting with the man in front of her.
Lee Jae Wook, I never thought I would meet him, Karina thought to herself.
Despite the immense amount of meetings her company would assemble, they never would tell Karina which man she would be seeing, and she hated it.
She remembers the time when she had shown up at an excessively fancy restaurant, only to be met with Mark Tuan seated comfortably in the chair ahead of her. Or when Kris Wu sat adequately on the most ugly patterned blanket, with a messy endeavor of a picnic by its side, bottles of alcohol spilling onto the grass, Kris’s attempt at getting Karina drunk and taking her home... god what a terrible date that was.
“Call me Karina”, she said, ignoring the evident hand reaching out, awaiting to be shaken. Karina didn’t like when anyone other then her members, or family, was to call her by her birth name. She believed that only those who knew her personally were given the ability to call her by something so precious, not some random actor practically drooling as he soaked in her presence.
“Yes of course, my apologies”, Jae Wook nodded and extended his arm for the girl to take, and if it wasn’t for Karina’s manager lightly pushing her into the man, she would have smacked his arm down instantly.
With that, the two began into the museum, her arm loosely wrapped around his, and Jae Wook’s excessive amount of cologne being the only thing Karina could smell.
God this is terrible. I need to get home.
“Welcome! It’s a pleasure to have you two joining us today!” An abnormally tall woman greeted them at the entrance. “Call me Ha-Eun! I’ll be your tour guide for today’s visit”, Karina shook her hand with a fake smile plastered onto her face.
“Thank you”, Karina expressed, and followed the woman as she took them through security and into the main hall of the museum. The place was exceptionally beautiful, and Karina was sure that if she were to be accompanied by her members instead of this man, her experience would be one to remember.
But she wasn’t. She was stuck clinging onto the man as they followed the tour guide into the first exhibit, knowingly peering at him as his eyes were trained on the woman’s ass while she walked ahead of them.
In all honestly, Karina couldn’t care less. She could turn the corner and see Jae Wook kissing another woman and she wouldn’t even bat an eye. He could do whatever he wanted, as long as he didn’t bother her. Nevertheless, she knew that was impossible, because as soon as Karina thought he would leave her alone and take in his surroundings instead, he intertwined his fingers with her, and as she tried to pull away, he gave her hand a tug, almost as if he was warning her to not even try.
To say Karina was uncomfortable was an understatement. The two of them followed the tour guide throughout the museum, and all Karina could think about was how sweaty and nasty the man’s hand felt in the grasp of hers.
It has been a half an hour since they began to look around, and as they were stopped in front of a beautiful piece Karina couldn’t help but admire, Jae Wook spoke up.
“I need to use the bathroom, would you mind staying here?” He directs his attention towards Karina.
God yes. I'd be more than happy to. Please leave and never come back, Karina thought.
“Sure.”
The tour guide stepped in front of Jae Wook before he could make his way out.
“I can show you the way! There isn’t one very close to here, it’s a bit of a walk.” She happily spoke, eyes almost unseen as a result of her never-resting smile. It must be tiring having that job, Karina thought, with having to keep a smile on your face without the slightest falter, even in the case of an inconvenience. She could never do that.
“Thank you, I appreciate it”, Jae Wook spoke formally. “I’ll be right back”, he spoke once more, leaning down and planting a dry kiss atop of Karina’s forehead, and she almost gagged.
The two made their way to the nearest bathroom, and there Karina stood, still at the fore of the painting. She couldn’t take her eyes off of it, it was truly beautiful. The way the colors complimented each line, as though the picture could truly come to live. It was remarkable.
Being lost in her own thoughts, Karina failed to notice the woman that walked towards her and stood just about three feet away.
“It’s beautiful isn’t.”
Karina’s ears chirped at the sound of the feminine voice, and she turned her head to glare at whoever had made the comment, however she was immediately met with the side profile of what seemed to be an angel.
Karina had never seen anyone so captivating. The way your gaze was held beautifully on the artwork, where the piece couldn’t even compare to how prepossessing your visuals were. It was like she was at a loss of air, and she had never felt this feeling before. Karina has never been so lost for words, as it was usually the other way around, where the man was to look at Karina like they had never seen anyone as stunning as her.
Now, eyes still trained on your profile, she can understand how these men felt when they claimed to be awestruck.
“...y- yeah”, Karina was still in a trance, making it hard for her to complete a full sentence.
“I always come back to this piece whenever I visit, its magnificent”, you glanced over to her, and before you could meet her gaze, her eyes flashed back to the wall in an instant.
“Um...”, she needed to keep talking to you, so she tried to start up a conversation, where she again was never the one to do so.
“How often do you come here?” Karina asked, this time her eyes on you, and when you turned around to respond, her cheeks began to match the color of your beautifully pink lips.
How could someone be so engaging?
“Usually once a month, its like my happy place”, you allow a small chuckle to escape past your lips, as does Karina.
“That’s really cool”, Karina smiles, her voice wavering as she tried to keep calm, and she continued.
“Do you have any other works that you like?”
Karina watched as your eyes scanned the wall full of beautiful artwork, deciding if there was another that met up to the standard of the one you stood ahead of, however you shake your head.
“I love them all, but this one is my favorite”, you smile and Karina could practically hear her heart skip a beat.
Karina has never felt the feeling of butterflies in her stomach until now. She has never been so captivated by someone’s presence until now. She has never wanted to hold a conversation with a stranger until now. You made her want to do everything at this very moment. Karina wanted to grab your hand and walk you outside just to continue to talk about your love for art. She could listen to you all day.
Could a woman feel this way for a woman? Karina never thought of woman in that type of sense, as she was only ever set up with men her entire live, so it was inevitable that her heart was trained to find attraction towards the gender. Maybe meeting you thirty seconds ago was a sign that her heart could possibly open up to someone. And not just anyone... a woman.
“Want to know why I like this painting so much?” You asked, and began to move a bit closer to her body, still keeping a comfortable distance.
Come closer, Karina thought.
“Why?”
You smiled and leaned in, "because I made it”, you uttered faintly.
And there it was. The exact moment that Karina determined she could truly find romance in somebody. Nobody had ever made Karina feel such a thing, and she thought she might as well die alone, since nobody had ever held her attention. But she was wrong. Here you were, in the flesh, completely ripping the heart of Yu Jimin out of her entire body, unbeknownst to you.
“Are you serious?” That was all Karina could muster out, otherwise she might as well shout to the world that she found the one for her.
“Yeah. It was accepted into the gallery about six months ago. Cool right?”
God you had no idea how many butterflies were roaming the district of Karina insides.
“Y- yeah... that’s amazing”, she smiled and went on. “What’s your name?”
You gave her a warm-hearted smile and pointed over to the painting, where Karina was now faced with sign just bellow the piece.
Y/n Yl/n
How beautiful, was as Karina could think.
“How about you? What’s your name?”
It was natural that you didn’t recognize the woman, as she was dressed in the least revealing clothes there ever was to be, a mask on her face accompanied by the hat she had on in the car, and lastly a pair of circular glasses. She didn’t expect you to know who she was with such a disguise, but she hoped you were to realize once she took her mask and glasses off.
Maybe if Karina showed you who she really was, you would end up being a huge fan, and immediately want to continue talking to her. Nobody could ever pass up on the chance of becoming close with an idol, so it should be the same regarding you, right?
Karina allowed her thoughts to race ahead of herself, and she pulled her mask down, her glasses following.
She saw when it clicked in your mind, that you were being faced with the Karina of Aespa, one of the most famous fourth generation idols there is to be. She felt pride, and for the first time, she was happy someone was to recognize who she was.
Nonetheless, exactly opposite of what Karina had thought would happen, your lips turned upwards into a fair smile, and you nodded your deliberately.
“Ah”, you stated, “Yu Jimin. I’ve seen your face all over.”
Is that it? Is that all you had to say? You’re not going to ask for a picture? Or even bow? Karina was beyond confused, she had never met anyone who would react with such ease.
In addition, Karina noticed that her brain, usually trained to correct anyone that was to call her by her birth name, refused to tell you the name in which she preferred for others to call her. In fact, she found herself preferring you to call her Jimin apposed to Karina. You were already special enough to her.
“So you know who I am?” Karina spoke.
“Doesn’t everybody?” You laughed. “You are even more beautiful in person, it’s surprising.”
Hearing those words come out of your mouth, Karina couldn’t help but bring her mask back up to her face. She couldn’t let you see how flustered you made her. It was dehumanizing.
“Oh... thank you.” She looked anywhere but to you. “You’re beautiful as well.”
You chuckled and looked down just as she did, and if anyone was to take a look over at your interaction, it’s possible they would think the two of you were to not even be associating with each other.
But, before you could thank the girl, your eyes glanced over at a man who was making his way towards Karina, and you recognized him to be the one you had seen her with preceding your approach.
“I think it’s time for me to go now, I believe your boyfriend is here for you.”
Karina’s eyebrows furrowed, her lips frowning at the thought of you leaving so soon, but she turned around to see what you had been referring to, and was met with Jae Wook and the tour guide side by side, making their way towards her.
“No! He’s not my b-” Karina turned around to reassure you, however, her breath hitched, eyes almost even watering as she found that you were instantly gone.
She felt like a child that had lost their parents at a crowded event, searching aimlessly throughout the area, double... triple looking around to see where you might have gone. But it was too late.
Jae Wook had then came up by her side and took her hand, and Karina couldn’t even protest, she was too upset. Her mind was somewhere else at the moment.
She followed Jae Wook, eyes trained on the wooden floor as she thought of you.
She thought about how heavenly your voice was, like music played softly in her ears, and how magnificent your side profile was to look at. She could stare at it all day if she could. She needed to see your face again. She needed to find you.
You were the one for her, she determined it. And she will not leave this museum unless it was hand and hand with you
~

THE SAME PLACE AND DIFFERENT TIME
pairing: kim minji x fem reader
trope: fish out of water! childhood friends! first love! little bit of angst! fluff!
waking up feels weird for y/n again, inside the body of a first year college student, her little young soul is stuck somewhere she doesn't want to be. peeking on the window of her colorless room, it's an ordinary sunday, clear skies with no clouds and her view is blocked by buildings. it's so boring sitting here inside her room, a bed with no presence of a certain person she longs for. there's almost no time for her, the world is too fast and there's always something to look forward for.
but lately, her days have become more boring, it feels like she's starting to lose the meaning of a secret world she used to have as a child. consumed by sadness and boredom, y/n doesn't really know what to do, she's stuck inside her dorm maybe for a few more years?
"no, i shouldn't sulk like this..." y/n mentally sighs as she stands up from her bed and walks towards her study table. she hasn't changed one bit, at least that's what she thinks, she's the same old kid who hates sitting around looking sad, someone who persists through every conflict and is spontaneous.
if minji were to see her again, would she think the same?
y/n have always wondered about that, when she thinks of minji, she starts to miss the tall girl again, like always since she left to study far from her home. y/n at first liked to believe it hasn't been that long, until maybe a few more years passed because she hopes when she comes back, minji would remember her again.
but in reality, it's been more than 2 years, 5 years to be exact... in that amount of time, how many memories did minji make without y/n? how many people did she meet?
how long did she ever think about y/n? when every hour felt like another day without warmth for y/n.
does she care for y/n anymore? the thought is extremely scary, thinking about being forgotten is scary...
y/n sits on her chair, grabbing her laptop as she opens it and looks at an email from her school, after her test, the school announces a break for the students and it's 4 weeks.
enough time to go back to gangwon province and maybe see minji again.
"no!" y/n shakes her head as she buries her face on her palms, the warmth of embarrassment spreads around her face. will she even remember me? y/n thinks to herself as she sighs, stretching her arms to her table and leaning over to it, her fingers touching the small and fuzzy bear figurine that minji have gifted her before, there's a smaller version of it, the baby bear.
back then, there really wasn't a lot to worry about, just when y/n's piano practice starts or when minji needs to go back home. back then, these feelings she had for minji were all just something to laugh about and forget tomorrow, but it turned into something bigger the longer she looks for minji.
times used to be more simple and minji used to be enough for her to reach, maybe she have wished for too much and that dream she had since she was little came true, but now y/n feels lonely.
the girl also comes across her last messages to minji, before everything went radio silent.
"sorry!" as if she have caused minji some trouble again.
"it's okay. message me again when you're free." minji sent her.
"okay!" y/n's reply and she hasn't gotten any free time ever since.
should she really come back? is the biggest question she wants to know right now, before she spends her break rotting on her bed all day long.
luckily, y/n's parents came to the rescue, they've been planning on building a small house in a small town in the province and they wanted to hear her thoughts. that means y/n can have an actual reason to go back...
on her way home in the car, y/n sits behind and listens as her parents converse. "what have our daughter been doing? we missed you so much." y/n's mother pipes in, the girl gives her mother a smile before leaning towards her mother's seat. "a lot actually, i didn't know there's a lot to do in college."
her father's laughs, shaking her head. "you'll get used to it kid, we've been living in the city for 5 years... things will get more rocky in the future." he says, y/n nods and smiles at her father. "i understand." she mutters.
her mother smiles endearingly at the interaction before looking behind her daughter who immediately meets her gaze, "don't you want to see minji?" she asks, y/n raises her brows and purses her lips before leaning back to the backseat and shrugging.
"i actually don't know if i want to..." she admits, sighing before laughing and shaking her head. "it's just that, it's been 5 years." she adds, y/n's father takes a peek at his daughter and looks at his wife before back at the road.
"didn't we talk to her family last week?" he asks, y/n's mother perks up and nods, looking at their daughter, who then gives them both a confused look.
"oh right! we missed the town so much, we decided to build a home again in the same neighborhood." y/n looks at her parents and squints her eyes at them before speaking. "okay? and what did you guys talk about?" the parents look at each other before laughing.
"a lot, about the house, the town, the city, university and you! minji said she misses you." y/n's father say and y/n cannot help the way her eyes widens. "o-oh... really?" she mutters.
her mother nods with a bright smile. "she said, you seem very busy and she was wondering why you weren't with us." y/n fixes her hair and the way she sits, before raising her index finger. "so, what do you guys plan to do there?" she asks.
her father looks straight to the road, occasionally peeking at his daughter from time to time. "well, minji's family owns a small inn, right? we can stay there for a while, talk about what we want our house to look like." he shrugs, y/n nods and gives her parents a small smile.
"i won't mind that. i wish it would look like our old house though." the girl receives nods from her parents and it didn't take them any longer until they finally arrived their old town.
standing in the middle of the street, y/n looks rather... lost? or maybe she is, the day is about to end and y/n starts to hear crickets all over the place. it's as if she's never been in this town, there's so many turns, left and right and it's making her head dizzy.
there weren't that much people too, it's like she's in a ghost town! it's not like this in the city, so bustling and loud, full of life.
and y/n starts to wonder whether she was really from this place, did she really grow up here? why does this place look so unfamiliar? just a few moments ago, y/n walked away from the inn before she could even see minji, wanting to gain enough courage to talk to the tall girl again.
and now here she is, lost in the town, not sure where to go. this moment made y/n realize she's changed, a lot... that maybe she really wasn't the same person she was before. the small y/n would never be lost like this...
still, y/n wants to find her way back home, even if she doesn't know where.
"do you still know this way?" y/n hears someone behind her and she immediately turns her body around to look at the familiar face of her childhood friend.
"m-minji..." she can only mutter, minji laughs and walks towards the girl. "why did you leave? when i went to welcome your family to the inn, you were nowhere." y/n shakes her head and puts a hand on her face and she sighs.
"i just wanted to walk around..." though, it was clearly a lie. minji nods and raises her hand as if to gesture y/n to follow. "let's go back to the inn." minji tells the girl, a very endearing and totally not charming smile on her face.
the girl nods and tucking in lost strands of her hair behind her ear before watching minji walk past her and the girl follows immediately.
minji doesn't look back but she's smiling, it's nerve-wracking, y/n doesn't know what to really say as if the words are stuck in her throat. no motivation to fight for her feelings.
"so, how's the city? i heard many great things come from there." minji starts, looking behind. the girl looks at minji and sees the smile on minji's face, her round eyes and very recognizable lips. y/n looks down with a blush on her cheeks and then back up at minji again as she laughs. "oh it's fine, i grew kind of tired of the noise and how boring the city could be." y/n answers, minji blinks twice before turning to the road again.
as they walk, they see kids frolic around the area, to the park and around some corners of the village. seeing that makes y/n reminisce about the past again, how fun and simple it was, what did change? she wonders.
"wasn't it your dream? you told me before." minji remembers that, but remembering it reminded you that you wanted that dream for your parents, because it's a big thing.
"my parents' actually, but then again, their dreams are mine." y/n sees minji nod, her back turned to y/n again as they walk and finally reach the inn. surprisingly, your parents weren't that upset, very understanding too. "thank god minji was there earlier, we knew she'd pick you up right away." y/n's father walks over to minji and pats her shoulder.
"so happy to see you again kid! i'm sure my daughter is too." minji smiles at y/n's father, nodding her head before looking at y/n, who cannot find a way to avoid the other girl. "that's great to know. have you brought your things up inside your inn already, sir?" she asks, and y/n's parents nod.
"we did! don't worry, by the way we should get going for now. we haven't gotten dinner." y/n's mother waves her hand towards minji and leaves with her husband, y/n stops walking in front of minji and looks at her parents before back at minji.
"thanks... i hope i didn't bother you." she smiles apologetically and fixes her hair, minji feels her heart beating as she looks at the girl. minji shrugs and shakes her palms that are starting to get wet. "nope, it's okay. you should get some rest now."
"okay, see you tomorrow." they stare at each other for a good 3 minutes before y/n looks away and starts walking unusually faster to their inn.
"you left the construction site?" minji asks the girl, who looks up from where she was sitting and stands up, fixing her skirt. minji's eyes went to look at y/n's skirt and immediately, like nothing happened up at y/n's eyes.
"uh huh." she says, nodding her head before laughing sheepishly. "i got bored and yeah, i want to do something else." y/n says, minji nods and puts her hands on the pocket of her pants.
"you haven't changed a bit." minji says, letting out a small chuckle. y/n look up back at her, raising an eyebrow at the tall girl. "what?" she whispers, minji walks behind a bit. "i mean, i don't think you changed at all. you're still the same girl from before." y/n feels her cheeks blaze as she nods, humming.
the playground is empty in the middle of the day, when kids are at school, just like it was before. it's almost as if it was the same place, and yes it was but... it also feels like the same time, y/n doesn't feel like she's grown any older.
yes, minji looked more mature, looked prettier, taller and her hair grew longer and more silky.
"really? i always thought i've changed a lot." y/n tells minji, she receives a smile from the other girl. "well, you looked prettier now. but other than that, you wear the same type of clothes." y/n blinks when minji says that she turned prettier... y/n blinks again and laughs sheepishly, looking down on her skirt.
"ah yeah, i feel more like myself in these." truth to be told, it's more on projection. thinking about how much she's changed mentally is tiring, it's like the life in city left her caged with nothing to do but the same thing. the only way she can relived her past self is by wearing the same clothes she used to wear.
minji looks at y/n's clothes and back the the girl's face. "it's nice. living in the city, i'm surprised you're still hesitant about your looks." minji chuckles and scratches the back of her head, y/n blinks her eyes twice and then away. "i just feel like sometimes i don't feel right in my own clothes."
"you look right, amazing even." minji shrugs before offering her hand to y/n. "it's been so long since i last saw you." minji adds, y/n stretches her arm and opens her hand to hold minji's, the texture of minji's palm never changes, despite all the work she does in their house it's still soft.
"i'm sorry if i couldn't even message you..." y/n says, recalling the times she couldn't make any time to reply or even hit minji up. minji shrugs and caress y/n's hand. "i understand, it's not easy being in college. i hope you're fine though..." y/n smiles at minji and puts another hand on their hands.
"i'm so glad to see you again, it feels so weird..." y/n purses her lips before sighing and speaking again. "it's like i'm going around chasing a bunny, then again i'm lost." minji nods, tilting her head to get a better look of your face.
"some people really don't understand the secret this world has." there's so much to do, so much to eat, so much to say, so many to love and care for. there's not enough time to do everything but the most. y/n looks up at minji as the tall girl speaks. "you told me before right? that happiness are those small things."
at the end of the day, y/n is just a crybaby.
in this bright world full of fantastic things, there's no time to feel bored.
"yeah... and we used to eat cookies, and almost i don't know what i was doing before." y/n laughs, minji looks away. there's a blooming, ticklish, funny feeling inside minji when she's here holding your hands, it's the same giddy feeling while playing stupid games before, the same feeling looking at your face but this feeling was never there for anyone else.
"you used to never think twice, no matter how crucial it is. you also used to get lost a lot too, then i'd look for you." minji says, y/n giggles and brings their hands closer to her chest. "thinking about those stuff, feels like looking at a picture book right?" y/n says, minji nods.
the skies are turning orange, and kids are running towards the playground. maybe the reason the little kid y/n was before didn't get lost because she had minji.
"you used to always get in trouble..." minji laughs and y/n shakes her head, whining. "i was just really annoying!"
it's such a ridiculous story, feels like no one will believe. seeing minji's face again, the patch of mud on the sidewalk and the kids frolicking around in their own world.
"i missed you a lot." minji speaks again, this time her voice sounded more delicate as if she meant every one of her word. it's been so long, days, weeks, months and years have passed but minji still remembers y/n.
the girl looks at minji as if she's about to cry, because those words mean a lot to her. y/n nods, letting go of minji's hand before she steps and wraps her arms around minji. "i missed you too!" y/n sobs, causing minji to laugh.
"come on, are you really just gonna weep like that?" minji teases, y/n buries her head on minji's shoulder, wiping her tears on the taller girl's shirt. "seriously..." y/n whispers.
minji pats y/n's back, an arm around the girl's waist. "ah, it's getting darker." minji mutters, y/n ignores her and sobs again. "i really think of you a lot, when i look at my last message to you... i wish i can do something about it." y/n whispers, her voice cracking every syllable.
"you know i'm not going anywhere, right?" minji whispers back, putting her hand on top of y/n's head. y/n nods, it's not about that. the girl hates the idea of being away from minji again, she's hated that idea but seeing minji again, like this... makes her hate it even more.
minji isn't leaving but minji is also not going to be there always, it's not about whether she's going to leave or not... after all those years, her little silly feelings for minji, turned into something bigger and more serious, when she yearns for minji's warmth that space inside her heart turns more shallow.
maybe, y/n is scared minji might find someone else...
"don't look for anyone else other than me..." y/n whispers, minji widens her eyes as she hears what was said. minji turns her head to take a peek of y/n's face, but all the girl did was bury her face deeper on minji's neck.
"what do you mean?" this is it. this must be really it.
y/n may feel guilty for sounding selfish admitting that she hates the idea that minji will find someone who'll love her too.
"i... i want to be honest, ever since i left i started to miss you more everyday, it feels like it was never gonna end." y/n takes a sharp breath. feeling the way her heart squeezes as if pouring out all the feelings she's harbored for minji on those years they were away from each other.
it feels like she's inside a woods, lost inside the forest with nowhere to go except the only path she can see.
"it was so long... everything feels like it's the same everyday. people around me moved on, went past and never looked back. i couldn't because i feel it too deeply, and i love too much..." y/n pulls away from minji, letting go of the tall girl... that also forced minji to let her hands off of y/n.
"i didn't want to be left alone, i didn't want to think of you with someone else!" y/n sees the way minji looks at her, the tall girl looks at the playground, the kids are all going home.
y/n puts her hand on her face, wiping her stupid tears away.
"i never looked for anyone else but you... i see you on and off on your account, it gives me hope that you're still there. we're stuck on the same memory, i think of you too a lot." minji shrugs as she speaks and reaches for y/n's hand, minji hears y/n trying to suppress her tears.
"y/n? are you serious?" minji chuckles and holds y/n's hand tighter. the girl looked confused, she tucks in strands of stray hair behind her ear. minji sighs. "i take my time to let you know i'm just here for you to lean on to, stupid messages, so short but it's alright because i know you're okay." minji continues, her other hand reaches for y/n's shoulder.
y/n was silent, she looks like she's hesitating but in reality, there's nothing but minji inside her head.
"it's because i like you!" y/n opens her mouth and stares at minji, surprised about what she had said. minji leans her head closer, seeing y/n blink her eyes and lifting her hands to cover her face.
minji hears y/n whine and she holds the girl's shoulders. "hey..."
"i don't why? we only talk through messages and they're not even that long! i've tried to hard to get rid of these feelings but it's not working! you're really the only one i want..." y/n grumbles, her voice is muffled but still audible that it makes minji smile to see how intense the girl's feelings are for her.
"i understand." minji states as she moves her hand to hold y/n's nape, pulling her closer and making the girl take her hands off of her face until their foreheads touch. minji holds y/n's waist with her other hand. "don't ever change, okay? you and your feelings, don't change." minji whispers.
y/n hears the crickets and then maybe her own heartbeat, distracted by the way minji looks at her eyes... it could be the street lamps but minji's eyes looks like she has the whole milky way galaxy in them.
minji laughs as she feels how warm y/n has gotten.
out of nowhere, the tall girl leans to kiss y/n on the lips, not that long but enough for y/n to feel it linger all over her.
the wind blows, but suddenly it's not so cold here anymore.
minji doesn't give y/n any time to react and immediately pulls her in a hug. "dummy. i love you too, okay? you're not alone." minji mutters.
y/n lowers her head, leaning on minji's shoulder and she finds herself diving in deeper in their hug. "gosh, this feels like it's not real..." y/n mutters, minji laughs again and places a kiss on y/n's cheek.
"but it is real, wanna go back to the inn?" minji asks, gently lifting y/n from the ground, causing the girl to shriek and laugh.
and it's fun like that, exploring new feelings and diving in it without thinking much. it's fun basking on its wonderful effects, how amazing love can be or just how unpredictable circumstances are sometimes.
it's another day, y/n feels like she dreams a lot now. she doesn't want to forget her dreams.
when the girl sits up, she opens her eyes and sees how blurry her vision was. the girl rubs her eyes for a few seconds, before opening them again.
she was greeted by the pink walls of her room, exactly the same copy of her childhood room but without the stains of time.
was she dreaming? y/n peeks on her window, a very sunny day with bright skies and clouds all over the blue horizon.
just an ordinary day.
y/n looks on the floor of her room, her shoes with a patch of mud on it.
thankfully, she wasn't dreaming at all.
the door of her room opens, from the shoes, y/n looks up to see minji smiling at her. "hey, it's 11am already." the girl says, y/n smiles and jumps off of her bed, running towards minji and embracing the tall girl in a hug.
"ah! thank you!" y/n rubs her cheek on minji's shoulder, humming. the tall girl looks at her girlfriend, confused. "what happened?" she asks.
y/n shakes her head and laughs. thinking that what if everything was a dream? y/n was scared that once she opens her eyes, minji will be out of reach again. but she's wrong, minji is here.
"nothing, i'm so happy you're here again! and that you wake me up before it gets late." y/n says, minji nods and pats y/n's head, sighing. "ah yeah, come on we have somewhere to go." minji pulls y/n out of her room, their laughter is heard across the corridor as they walk to the dining room.
y/n might have been lost on her way home, maybe it took her too long to find her way back... but she's back! that's all that matters, minji is with her to guide her wherever she goes, just like when they were younger.

“O-oh..” You clear your throat after telling yourself to get it together about a million times. Opening your mouth after what seemed like an eternity, “I uh.. Uncle Minjun? It’s nice to meet you. I’m y/n.” You offer your hand out to the man who was undeniably a splitting image of Yeonjun - just older.
He was dashing and had an air of charisma around him. One would know that being in the real estate business, you need to have some type of charm after all, so you're not too surprised that he owns the biggest housing and commercial property business in Asia. He seemed like the type to be able to sway you easily into buying things without much hesitation.
Also explains why your mom fell for him.
“y/n.. Very nice to meet you finally. I’ve heard nothing but good things about you from your mother, you seem like a very smart lady. And as expected - beautiful too. Surely you have a lot of suitors by now, eh?” He says in a playful manner, as you finally take a seat to join them, right across from Yeonjun.
“Oh, trust me, dad. Soobinnie's all over her.” The male across from you nonchalantly points out, making you cough right as you scoop the clear soup into your mouth.
“Oh? CEO Dongwon's son? Well sounds like he’s a decent man.” Your mother for sure wouldn't pass off the chance to give her two cents, “Why didn’t you tell me this, sweetie? You should invite Soobin here sometime.” She lets out a giddy laugh as you grimace into your soup.
"Well, we’re not an item, Mom. And you know I want to focus on my studies first…”
“It’s rare you hear that nowadays eh? I wish my son would see education the same way as you y/n. Maybe you should teach him a thing or two, huh?” Minjun replies, sipping from his scotch glass and giving Yeonjun a look to which the younger male replies with a sarcastic scowl.
“I’m sure Chaewon’s got that covered.” You take the opportunity to tease back, it was your way of repaying him for bringing Soobin up. “They’re a really cute couple.” You smile the sweetest one you can muster and look over at his dad who seems to suddenly be interested at the mere mention of a girl.
“Well, if you’re serious about dating her, son, stop bringing random girls home. You know the guards see you when you do that, right? It's quite distasteful really.”
Your eyes widen upon learning this little piece of information, he was still bringing girls home, even though he’s dating my friend?  You think to yourself. You could feel Yeonjun’s glare directed at you from across the table, but ultimately decide to avoid it and just eat.
“I-I’ll go get the dessert.” You shoot up from your seat not too long after, wanting to do anything to get you out of that semi-awkward situation.
“I’ll help you y/n!” Yeonjun chimes in, walking behind you and following you into the kitchen- giving you no other choice.
“Ahjumma, can you please take out the cream cake my mom bought this morning? I’ll cut it myself.” You say in a polite tone and a smile to match, watching the older lady walk out back to the refrigerators to go grab it.
You let out an exasperated sigh, leaning back against the expensive Italian marble countertop. “Not even an hour with you and I’m already tired.” You glare at the male.
It’s true, there’s a reason why you never got along with him, as he was always picking on you. But it was more of a welcomed gesture for you because even though it was annoying, you were just glad you are not a part of the population of MOA-U girls who have fallen victim and succumbed to his charms.
“Well, you do know what this means… right y/n?” Yeonjun asks, almost in a teasing tone from what you can pick up.
Soon, his hands lay flat over the countertop, on each side of your hip - effectively trapping you in.
You swallow hard, you’ve never been this close to him before.
Chaewon always had somewhat of a fence around him in school, which is why we’ve never been face-to-face like this. You find yourself taking note of his prominent features- from his black locks, which complimented his hazel eyes, his strong jawline, his raised nose bridge, and even that cute, boyish smile.
“H-huh?” Great, what was that part about being immune to his charms again?
“We’re going to be siblings," He says, arms wrapping around your waist, "..so you’ll see more of me around, most likely.” His smile stretches out even more, and it was like he enjoyed that you were flustered by the mischievous glint in his eyes.
Like a shark being able to smell fear from a few feet away.
"You're... You weirdo." Was all you were able to say, and it took all of your might to push him off of you, and right on time too, as the help finally came back with the cake to save the day.
You leave the kitchen as fast as you could, and even as you briskly walked away, you could feel Yeonjun smirking behind you.
————- ★ -———— . ————- ★ -————
"I don't know how I feel about it, honestly." You say as you plop down on one of the couches in Chaewon's living room after school that day.
"My best friend and my boyfriend becoming step-siblings? Who would have thought..." Chaewon says with a smile, though you couldn't tell if it was a sarcastic smile or one that was of genuine nature.
"I know my mom's been a notorious magnet for rich dudes but I never thought she would end up in the arms of Choi Minjun, tsk. This is driving me nuts." You whine out, pulling at your hair and punching the throw pillow repeatedly.
"You do know there's some business strategy side to this, right unnie?" Minjeong suddenly speaks up. The youngest in your group rarely opened her mouth, which is why all four of you were all ears whenever she decides to give her input on things.
"How so?" You ask, trying to make sense of the situation and guessing where she was going with this statement.
"Mm well... Yeonjun oppa's dad owns a lot of properties, and you guys own a lot of department stores.. So if your companies merge... Then, your mom can expand to more places and oppa's dad will acquire more patrons because of the brand - since your mom does have an insane amount of fans. It will be the merger that everyone in Korea will be talking about."
"Wow.. I never really thought of it that way." You say in a hushed tone, trying to put the pieces together.
"At this rate you'll be richer than all three of us combined. With the exception of Chaewon, of course." Yeji says in a joking manner, her statement causing Chaewon to flip her hair over her shoulder.
You laugh it off, "Ah, well- that's.. that's really not my concern now. All I know is that my mother needs to get her life together.."
"Well look at the bright side y/n, at least you get to look after my baby for me," Chaewon interjects, putting her hand over her chest. "You know, you can report to me and tell me if there are girls who try to flirt with him and all that. You’re basically going to be his younger sister anyways." She points out, nodding her head a few times.
You stay silent, suddenly remembering that one little fact that his dad gave away at dinner.
He was still bringing random girls home at this point.
There was an inner battle in you suddenly - should I say something? Or should I keep it under wraps since their relationship isn’t my business anyway? Something prompts you to go for the latter, not open your mouth and just nod.
You'd rather not be caught in the middle of the drama.
————- ★ -———— . ————- ★ -————
As expected, there was another party that night at Chaewon’s house.
There were indeed perks to being inheritors to future companies: your parents were more often than not, too busy to take note of anyone's whereabouts. Which is why you have the luxury to party whenever you wanted.
Surprisingly, you were actually in the mood to party then. As you’ve managed to down a few shots of soju as well as soju bombs with Yeji.
And not surprisingly, Chaewon was all over Yeonjun that night.
You could feel him staring at you from time to time though. Nevertheless, you don't think much of it- as you’ve always made it a point not to.
He's probably waiting for me to f*ck up or something so he can tattletale on me to my mom next time we have a ‘family’ meal.
“How’s my favorite girl?” Soobin’s voice made its presence known as he wraps his arm around your neck and pulls you into a hug. Your arms instinctively wrap around his torso, and you stay that way for a few minutes.
“Ah- y/n! Before I forget! Remember how you were looking for that limited edition version of that manga we both loved?!” He asks as you pull away from the hug. You, of course, nod quickly.
The two of you have a lot of similarities, and your love for mangas and graphic novels was one of them.
In a swift motion, he then pulls out something from his bag. And lo and behold, in its pristine condition, was the same novel you've been searching high and low for.
“WHAT! NO WAY!!!” You shout over the music, enough to draw attention from the people around you. You envelop him in another excited hug out of gratitude. “I can’t believe you found it?! How did you do it? I had my mom’s assistant look all over for it. Even my grandparents’ staff were searching for it.”
“Ah well, I have my connections. You’re not the only one, y/n.” Soobin winks as soon as you pull away to take the manga and read through the back cover.
The rest of the night was spent with Soobin and a few more soju bottles. And by the end of the night, you were feeling the ugly effects of alcohol.
Cuddled up with him on one side of the couch, with the two of you talking about all the animes you’ve watched the past week. It was pretty fun to have someone with whom you could nerd out, especially in a group of socialites such as the one you both have.
“Ah, you’re remarkable. I can’t believe you like the same things I do.” He said, pinching your nose which causes you to scrunch it upwards.
“y/n...?” He suddenly grows quiet after a few moments of just staring at each other.
“H-huh?” You ask, your forehead creasing in curiosity. Unfortunately, right on time, your vision starts to blur, and the dimmed-out lights in the living room turned party area wasn’t helping. “W-what is it?”
“C-can I k-kiss-- Y-yah.. y/n?! Hey! You ok?!”
That was pretty much the last thing you hear before passing out.
And that was it, your dear old friend alcohol got the better of you, knocking you out on his lap.
————- ★ -———— . ————- ★ -————
“Yeonjun, I don’t understand, you know I can bring her home safely.”
Was I dreaming?
“I know, but I promised her mom I’d take care of her, and that’s what I’ll do so hand her over.” His voice didn’t falter, standing firm to the promise he made to your mom.
W-wait.. I can’t see anything.. I can’t open my eyes. I’m still dizzy,  I can only hear faintly.. Ah, what is happening to me?!..
“Pff, alright, fine Jjunie.. But you better not try any funny business.”
You could feel another pair of strong arms underneath you, cradling you as you shifted. The air is crisp and cold as it brushes through your legs. You were outside.
“Babe! Where are you going?! You can let Soobin handle her and the party’s not over yet.”
That was Chaewon’s voice..
“I have to go Chae, I’ll bring her home first and make sure she’s settled. I’ll see you tomorrow in school hmm?”
————- ★ -———— . ————- ★ -————
You wake up to music, a hummed lullaby of sorts. It was soothing and pleasant to hear. You can feel the soft mattress under your tired body. With how familiar it all felt, you could tell you were in your bed.
Apart from that, you can feel someone stroking your hair.
Your eyelids felt so heavy as you open them, curious to see who it was. But you could barely see, vision still blurry no thanks to the after-effects of alcohol.
Add that, and the fact that it was rather pitch dark around your room- signaling that all the lights were off.
Someone was in your room, that you knew. Because you can hear him and his melodic humming, and whoever it was- he was unmistakably sitting at the edge of your bed next to you.
“O-ow..” You croak out, feeling the throbbing in your head.  Pressing the palm of your hand against your forehead almost immediately, the melodic, soft voice cuts as you note the mattress' weight shift when the person beside you leans in to check on you.
“y/n, don't get up, just get some rest…” That voice, you know who it belongs to, but it took you a while to process it.
Yeonjun’s voice?
Even though you wanted so badly to keep your eyes open and verify if your guess was correct, you've had way too much to drink to keep up.
You couldn’t believe it though. How can someone so rugged and nonchalant about things have such a sweet voice? Plus, the mere idea that he’s here to make sure you're okay- that definitely does not seem like something he’d do.
Or have you had a skewed vision of him this whole time?
Soon after, You feel his lips against your forehead. His soft buds leave a small peck and a tingling sensation on your skin, and you swore your cheeks felt a lot more heated than it was before.
At that point, you weren't sure if it was all a dream. You feel your stomach churn. Was it butterflies? Nah, it must be the soju. You tell yourself.
“Sweet dreams, y/n.” And with that, you drift off into dreamland.

"dad, i really need to go to yunjin's birthday party tonight!"
in the dimly lit living room, a single lamp cast elongated, eerie shadows that seemed to encroach upon them. y/n felt the intensity of her father's anger emanating from him, making the room feel even more oppressive.
summoning her courage, she took a deep breath and persisted, "i understand your concerns, but yunjin is my best friend. this party means the world to her, and i can't imagine not being there."
her father's response was stern and unyielding, his voice laced with frustration. "i've already said no, y/n! you're staying home tonight, and you'll be studying."
downstairs, her father's voice roared like an impending storm, an avalanche of anger and disappointment crashing upon her. y/n's pulse quickened with every word, each syllable a verbal assault on her resolve. his rage clawed at the edges of her sanctuary, a relentless force determined to breach the haven she had painstakingly built.
"dad, please, just listen—" y/n implored, her voice a trembling mix of desperation and hope.
but her father's anger remained unyielding, a relentless tempest that refused to be tamed. "you're not leaving this house tonight, y/n! you hear me?"
tears welled up in y/n's eyes as the crushing weight of her dreams clashed with the unrelenting aggression of her father. with a heavy heart, she turned away, ascending the creaking wooden staircase. each step felt like a reluctant retreat, a painful acknowledgment of the battle she faced, yet her spirit remained unbroken, determined to find a way to break free.
minutes stretched like hours, and just as y/n felt her world closing in, she knew she needed a breath of fresh air. she wiped her tears, her resolve steadying as she walked upstairs to her room. each step was heavy with a mix of frustration and determination.
the memory of her father's voice still lingered as she entered her room, the remnants of his anger casting a shadow over her. the evening sun had now completely disappeared, and the room was enveloped in the soft, cool glow of the moonlight. she sat on the edge of her bed, her heart still racing, her mind a whirlwind of conflicting emotions.
battling the sting of tears, she squeezed her eyes shut, her heart hammering in her chest in sync with the storm that raged outside her room. the silence that followed was deafening, an eerie hush that hung in the air like an unspoken verdict after the tempestuous trial that had just taken place.
as the echoes of her father's rage slowly faded, a muffled tap on her windowpane sliced through the heavy silence, making her jump. her heart raced, the fear of facing another confrontation gripping her. with hesitant steps, y/n approached the window, her breath held in a mixture of trepidation and intrigue.
hesitatingly, she pulled back the curtain, her eyes widening in surprise. "... yunjin?" she breathed, her voice a fragile mix of astonishment and relief as she opened the window.
outside, yunjin's presence was a burst of energy against the encroaching night, her hazel-brown hair adorned with leaves and twigs, an unexpected consequence of her journey to reach y/n. despite the makeshift forest crown, her grin was wide, bordering on awkward, as if she had been caught in the act of some secret adventure.
"hey there," yunjin greeted, her voice carrying a blend of mischief. she swiped at a stray leaf clinging to her hair, her eyes shining with anticipation as she climbed up to the room.
y/n's surprise melted into a mixture of confusion and amusement. "you're... you're at my window?" she stammered, disbelief coloring her words.
yunjin's grin widened, unabashed. "who needs doors when you've got windows, right?" she quipped, her eyes sparkling with a playful glint.
y/n laughed, the tension from earlier melting away with each chuckle. "you're something else, yunjin," she teased, her heart warming at the sight of her friend as she closed the window.
"how else would i make a grand entrance?" yunjin joked, her tone light.
the absurdity of the situation broke the tension that had enveloped the room, a laughter-inducing rupture in the gravity of the moment. y/n found herself chuckling despite herself, a warm sense of familiarity settling in.
"but seriously, how did you even get up here?" y/n asked, her curiosity piqued by the daring feat.
yunjin shrugged, her grin now tinged with a touch of sheepishness. "let's just say i navigated a few trees, a couple of branches, and maybe stumbled a bit. but here i am, unscathed." she brushed a few lingering leaves from her hair, a playful glint in her eyes.
"you're unbelievable, you know that?" y/n sighed, her voice laced with affection. she watched as yunjin patted off the small leaves on her clothes.
yunjin feigned offense, placing a hand over her heart dramatically. "unbelievably charming? i know."
y/n's laughter subsided, her gaze meeting yunjin's in a moment of unspoken connection. "maybe," she replied, a mixture of earnestness and fondness coloring her words.
the room seemed to hold its breath after their laughter subsided, an electric current of emotion buzzing between y/n and yunjin. yunjin's eyes, warm and perceptive, noticed the redness and puffiness of y/n's eyes, the traces of a struggle that was all too familiar.
"hey," yunjin began, her voice gentle, "are you okay? what happened?"
y/n swallowed hard, struggling to find the right words. she hadn't meant for yunjin to see her like this, to witness the cracks in the facade she so often wore. "it's just... family stuff," she mumbled, avoiding yunjin's gaze.
yunjin's expression transformed from concern to something more complex, a mix of emotions that flickered across her face like shadows. "y/n, you can't keep brushing things off like this. if something's wrong, you can talk to me."
y/n's heart ached at the sincerity in yunjin's words. she wished she could share everything, but the weight of her struggles felt too heavy to burden her friend with.
"i know, yunjin," y/n replied softly, her voice tinged with gratitude. "i'm just... dealing with things."
yunjin's eyes bore into y/n's, a silent plea for honesty. "is it because of your dad?"
y/n looked away, her throat tightening. "yeah," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.
a sudden fire ignited in yunjin's eyes, her fists clenching in a mixture of anger and protectiveness. "y/n, no one should make you feel like this. if he's hurting you, i swear i'll—"
y/n's heart swelled at yunjin's fierce loyalty, but she couldn't let her friend bear the burden of her battles. "no, yunjin, it's not like that. i promise."
yunjin's anger faded, replaced by a soft determination. "well, you don't have to go through this alone."
y/n managed a small smile through the tears. "you really care about me, huh?"
yunjin's grin was bittersweet, as if happiness and sadness were warring for dominance on her face. "of course i do, y/n. you mean everything to me."
y/n's heart skipped a beat at yunjin's heartfelt words. there was an intensity in her friend's gaze, a depth of emotion that y/n couldn't quite put her finger on. she felt a rush of warmth, a sense of being cherished that went beyond their usual friendship. but y/n quickly brushed aside the thought, unsure if she was just reading too much into things. after all, yunjin was her best friend, and their connection had always been strong.
"yeah, you're pretty amazing too," y/n replied, a genuine smile tugging at her lips.
yunjin's gaze held a thousand unspoken words as she pulled y/n into a tight embrace. y/n felt the warmth of yunjin's body, the comfort of her presence, and for a moment, everything else faded away. it was as if the world had stopped spinning just for them.
"i'm lucky to have you as my best friend," y/n said, her voice muffled against yunjin's shoulder.
yunjin held her even tighter, her embrace a mixture of happiness and aching sadness that y/n couldn't quite decipher. in that moment, y/n felt the depth of their connection, the way yunjin had been a constant in her life, a source of unwavering strength and comfort.
but as they clung to each other, yunjin's heart carried an unspoken burden. she couldn't help but wonder if y/n would ever truly understand the depth of her feelings, the silent longing she had harbored for so long. in that embrace, yunjin found both solace and a bittersweet ache, a love that remained unvoiced, an unfulfilled wish that danced in the shadow of their friendship.
though, y/n suddenly realized that something important was happening today— it was yunjin's birthday. a mixture of guilt and excitement surged within her, and she gently pulled away from their hug, a small smile playing on her lips.
"wait, yunjin," y/n said softly, her eyes lighting up with realization. she reached under her bed and retrieved a carefully wrapped package, her fingers trembling with a blend of nervousness and anticipation. "...i have something for you."
yunjin's eyes widened with surprise, a delighted curiosity dancing in her gaze. "for me?" she asked, her voice filled with genuine surprise.
y/n nodded, a shy smile gracing her lips as she extended the gift toward yunjin. "yeah. happy birthday, yunjin."
yunjin accepted the gift with a mixture of excitement and gratitude, her fingers carefully unwrapping the paper to reveal a small box beneath. her heart fluttered with a sense of anticipation, and she looked up at y/n with an affectionate smile. "you didn't have to get me anything, you know."
y/n's smile widened, but a hint of mischief danced in her eyes. "oh, but i did. you see, i spent my allowance for the month at that festival we went to last week." she chuckled, her tone light and playful.
yunjin's eyes lit up with understanding and fondness. "ah, so that's why you were so eager to try all those different foods and play all those games."
y/n's cheeks flushed with a sheepish grin. "yeah, guilty as charged. but i wanted to make your birthday special."
with a gentle laugh, yunjin opened the small box to find a delicate crochet pattern inside. her eyes widened in surprise, and she looked at y/n in awe. "is this...?"
y/n nodded, her heart racing with a blend of nervous anticipation and hope. "it's a.... i don't know, crochet guitar keychain. i mean, you love to play guitar and if i had more money i would have bought you a real one but uh... i put it together myself, though it's not flawless, but..."
yunjin's eyes brightened with a mixture of surprise and amusement. "a crochet guitar pattern? that's so uniquely thoughtful, y/n." she chuckled softly, a playful glint in her eyes. "and here i was thinking you were giving me a crash course in musical instruments."
y/n's cheeks flushed with a mixture of embarrassment and amusement. "oh gosh, no. i know you're the one with the guitar skills. i can barely strum a chord."
yunjin's laughter was warm and genuine, a melody that resonated in the room. "well, i appreciate the sentiment, really. i promise i won't hold it against you if my guitar sounds a bit... thread-like."
y/n chuckled and rolled her eyes at the pun, the tension from earlier melting away in the comfort of their easy banter. "i'm just glad you like it. i wanted to give you something meaningful."
yunjin's gaze held a soft intensity as she met y/n's eyes. "you always know how to make things meaningful, y/n. that's one of the things i admire about you."
a flush of warmth spread across y/n's cheeks, her heart fluttering at yunjin's words. "you're making me blush, yunjin."
yunjin's grin was infectious as she reached out to playfully nudge y/n's shoulder. "well, get used to it, because i'll keep saying it if i have to."
y/n rolled her eyes in mock exasperation, though her heart danced with happiness. "you're impossible."
yunjin's laughter filled the room once more, a sound that felt like a soothing melody in the midst of the night. "and you're amazing."
as their laughter subsided, a comfortable silence settled between them, punctuated by the soft rustling of leaves outside the window. y/n glanced at the crochet pattern in yunjin's hands, yunjin's fingers tracing the delicate lines.
"it's not much, yunjin," y/n said, her voice tinged with a mixture of humility and hope. "but i really hoped you'd like it."
yunjin's gaze softened as she looked at y/n. "you have no idea how much this means to me, y/n. it's not about what it is, but about the thought and effort you put into it."
y/n's smile was genuine, a reflection of the warmth she felt inside. "well, then i'm glad i put in the effort."
without warning, yunjin enveloped y/n in a tight hug, a gesture that spoke volumes about her gratitude and affection. "you're the best, you know that?"
y/n's arms instinctively wrapped around yunjin, a rush of contentment flooding her senses. "i'm just happy to see you happy, yunjin."
yunjin's heart swelled with affection as she looked at y/n, her best friend who always managed to surprise her with her thoughtfulness. "it's more than special, y/n. it's perfect."
y/n's cheeks flushed with a mixture of happiness and relief. "you really think so?"
yunjin's response was immediate and sincere. "absolutely. and you know what? i don't need anything else. this is the best birthday gift i've ever received." before y/n could say anything more, yunjin enveloped her in a tight, heartfelt hug. "thank you, y/n. i really, truly love it."
y/n's arms wrapped around yunjin, and she felt a sense of contentment settle within her. "i'm so glad you like it, yunjin."
as the moon's glow continued to weave a tapestry of light and shadows in y/n's room, yunjin's eyes sparkled with a mix of fondness and mischief. "you know, i wish i could stay over, but my parents would probably have a search party out for me by morning."
y/n laughed, the sound a melody that filled the air with a sense of ease. "yeah, you disappearing would probably cause quite a commotion."
yunjin's grin widened. "oh, definitely. i can already imagine the headlines: 'local teen vanishes, blame falls on sneaky friend.'"
y/n playfully rolled her eyes. "and who's the sneaky friend in that scenario?"
yunjin winked. "obviously, it's you. you're the one luring innocent teens into your little lair."
they shared a laugh, the familiarity of their banter a comforting embrace in itself. "well, i promise i won't keep you hostage in my lair," y/n teased. "but before you go, you better promise to bring me some of the amazing food from your birthday party tomorrow."
yunjin's expression turned thoughtful for a moment before she grinned mischievously. "deal. i'll be the delivery girl, and we can have a mini feast at lunch."
y/n's eyes lit up at the idea. "perfect. you know the way to my heart is through food."
yunjin chuckled. "noted. food it is."
y/n's smile turned soft, a mixture of warmth and affection as she looked at her friend. "yunjin, thank you for coming tonight. you made a not-so-great day so much better."
yunjin's eyes gleamed with a warmth that matched y/n's. "and thanks for best birthday gift, seriously."
their smiles held a shared understanding, a testament to the support they offered each other through life's ups and downs. "have a good night, yunjin," y/n said, her voice gentle. y/n's eyes glimmered as she met yunjin's gaze, a touch of sentiment in her smile. "and a final happy birthday, yunjin."
yunjin's heart swelled with gratitude, her emotions bubbling to the surface. "good night, y/n. and remember, if your dad is acting up again..."
yunjin's brow furrowed in concern, but before she could finish her sentence, y/n leaned in and placed a gentle kiss on her cheek. yunjin froze, her eyes widening in surprise, her cheeks turning a shade of pink that was illuminated by the moonlight filtering through the window.
y/n pulled back with a playful grin, her heart racing but her expression casual. "well, you'll know what to do."
yunjin's lips parted as if she wanted to say something, but no words came out. y/n's grin only widened, and she winked before turning to open back te window again, allowing the night breeze to flow into the room.
yunjin's voice was a mixture of flustered and amused as she finally found her words. "you... you're something else, y/n."
y/n laughed softly, her heart dancing with both nerves and satisfaction. "i'll take that as a compliment."
yunjin's gaze held a mix of emotions – surprise, happiness, and a touch of something more. "thank you for tonight, y/n. and for the unexpected second birthday gift."
as y/n watched yunjin prepare to leave through the window, she felt a sense of contentment settle within her. "anytime, yunjin. have a great night, and remember, i'll be eagerly waiting for the food tomorrow."
yunjin's smile was a luminous beam in the moonlight. "you got it. and, y/n..."
y/n raised an eyebrow, her curiosity piqued. "yes?"
yunjin hesitated for a brief moment before her smile returned, brighter than ever. "this little keychain might just be the best birthday gift i've received in my whole life."
y/n's heart skipped a beat at yunjin's words, her mind racing with a mixture of excitement and curiosity. "i'm glad you liked it," she replied, her voice soft.
yunjin's expression held a touch of playfulness as she leaned against the window frame. "oh, trust me, i loved it. though you might have caught me a bit off-guard with that kiss."
a flush of embarrassment warmed y/n's cheeks, but her grin was unapologetic. "consider it a spontaneous bonus."
yunjin's laughter was a music that danced through the night air, and her eyes held a mixture of amusement and affection as she met y/n's gaze. "you're really weird, you know that?"
y/n's grin became a bit mischievous as she gazed at yunjin. "you know, sometimes a bit of spur-of-the-moment action adds some excitement, doesn't it?"
yunjin's smile softened, her gaze holding a lingering warmth. "definitely not."
as they stood by the window, a comfortable silence settled between them, the moonlight casting a gentle glow over their faces. yunjin's mind, though still a bit flustered from the unexpected kiss, was filled with a newfound sense of determination. she couldn't ignore the fluttering feeling in her chest, the way her heart raced in y/n's presence.
she promised herself that in the near future, she would make her own move. she had cherished their friendship for so long, and now, with the added realization of her deeper feelings, yunjin knew it was time to be brave. she would let y/n know, in her own way, that the bond they shared meant more.
as their quiet moment lingered, yunjin finally spoke, her voice a blend of sincerity and anticipation. "y/n, have a wonderful night. and just so you know, if your dad gives you any trouble, don't hesitate to call me."
y/n's gaze held a soft appreciation, her heart warmed by yunjin's unwavering support. "thank you, yunjin. you're the coolest but also the weirdest friend."
before either of them could say more, y/n leaned in and planted a gentle kiss on yunjin's cheek once more. this time, yunjin didn't freeze – she felt a warmth spread from the point of contact, a sensation that lingered even after y/n pulled away.
y/n's grin was playful, her eyes dancing with mischief. "just returning the favor."
yunjin's lips parted as if she wanted to say something, but instead, she found herself lost in the moment, a blend of emotions swirling within her. she finally managed to regain her composure, her voice soft but genuine. "good night, y/n. and thank you, again, for everything."
y/n's smile was a final farewell, a promise of another day to come. "sleep well, yunjin. and happy birthday, once more."
as yunjin disappeared from the windowpane, her heart was a whirlwind of emotions – flustered from the unexpectedness of the evening, but also filled with a hopeful anticipation of what the future might hold. the small, spontaneous kiss might have been an unplanned gift, but it had ignited a spark within her.
with a contented sigh, yunjin carried the memory of that night with her, knowing that her feelings for y/n were something to be cherished and explored, even if it meant stepping into uncharted territory. and as she made her way home, the stars overhead seemed to twinkle with their own sense of excitement, as if the universe itself was rooting for them.
as yunjin walked away from y/n's house, her heart was all over the place. she couldn't help but replay the whole evening in her head like a movie – the surprise kiss, y/n's eyes, and their silly banter. it was like a rom-com but with her and y/n as the lead character.
"i mean, seriously," she mumbled to herself, "who would've thought a little cheek kiss could send my heart into overdrive like this?"
she kicked a pebble along the path, trying to sort out her jumbled thoughts. her feelings for y/n were a mess, like a puzzle missing a few pieces. okay, maybe a lot of pieces. and she had no clue how to put them together.
"love? seriously, yunjin?" she shook her head, feeling a mixture of excitement and anxiety. "you're like the cheesy protagonist in one of those teen dramas, pining after your best friend. classic."
staring up at the stars, yunjin couldn't help but chuckle. "and now i'm having a heart-to-heart with the universe. great, just great."
but as the stars twinkled above, a strange sense of comfort washed over her. it was like they were in on the secret, like they knew something she didn't. or maybe she was just imagining things. who knew?
with a determined grin, she straightened her posture. "well, universe, i guess i'm ready for this mess. whatever it is."
walking home, she couldn't shake the dorky smile that tugged at her lips. she might not have all the answers, but she was ready to figure them out – even if it meant stumbling through a few more awkward moments and heartfelt confessions. after all, that was the messy beauty of falling in love, right?

more under the cut !
“have you heard? the school nerd (name) has a crush on hwang hyunjin!” “omg, really?! where'd you get that info!?” many rumours have already circulated around your academy after you were seen handing out a said love letter to the local popular boy, hwang hyunjin during valentines day, of course you didn't really gave that love letter to him because you liked him, rather it was because you're friend was too much of a coward to personally give it out to him, ordering you to do it for her, which you're still regretting to have accepted.
as you're heading to your next class, you can't help but feel uncomfortable with the fact that litteraly anyone you've walked passed at was staring holes at you, but oh well you much guessed that this is your life now at this stupid academy before you have the confidence on finally standing up to deny the fact that you really didn't like hyunjin, and possibly all men.“i bet hyunjin is (name)'s first crush, i mean i've never really seen her have skinship with anyone really.” “only with the hwang sibling's, especially with hyunjin, she's like basically glued to him—” *slam!* “you shouldn't gossip about untrue rumours about (l/n) with my brother.” that locker door slam silenced halls of spreading rumours about you and hyunjin, by none other then the sister of hyunjin, yeji. you're academic rival. you were a floor away from the scene but you already know that the commotion was caused by her and no one else.
passing by the stairs a familiar voice called you. “(l/n)!” the loud voice echoed troughout the halls of students who we're quickly scurrying away to not get caught with the commotion yeji and you will probably create. But having enough of practically everyone, you didn't stop to argue back at yeji — instead, ignored the call and continued walking and with heavy sounds of heels walking behind you, it was clear that yeji was following you. “so, you like my brother?” yeji said, emphasizing the brother part loudly. most part of you wanted to stop and finally stand up to deny those rumors, but you kept walking, the weight of yeji's words hanging heavy in the air. “oh, so you do, huh? well guess what he doesn't give two shit about you, (l/n)!” yeji continued, the rumors had spread like wildfire, consuming every corner of the academy, and now, even yeji seemed convinced of it's truth, but even if you did like hyunjin, why was she so pressed by it? she's just your academic rival or maybe enemy. it's none of her business to have a care about your love life, maybe she's just doing this to spite you up.
as you reached a quiet corner of the hallway, you finally turned to face her, the frustration evident in your eyes. "no! yeji, i don't like your, stupid brother! okay?!" you asserted, your voice was probably louder than hers earlier. “plus, why are you so pressed about it?!” you continued, but as you we're about to say something again, yeji quickly cut you off. “oh, my foot! sure you don't have a crush on him. and im also sure that you giving that love letter was JUST a friendly act of gesture!” she shouted back at you.
as yeji's words pierced the air, frustration and disbelief surged within you. her accusations felt like daggers, slicing through the fragile peace you had tried to maintain amidst the storm of rumors.
with each shouted word, the tension between you and Yeji escalated, the weight of misunderstanding pressing down upon you like a suffocating blanket. but beneath the anger and frustration, there lingered a flicker of hurt, a pang of betrayal at Yeji's insinuations.
“ugh! no yeji for the nth time. i. don't. have. a. crush. on. your. gosh. darn. brother! that letter wasn't from me! it was from—”
“oh, yeah right! that letter was from your friend, blah blah blah—” “gosh yeji! why can't you just see it!! that letter wasn't from me, it was from my friend, and i don't have a crush or love hyunjin! it's you!! it's you who i have a crush on! okay?!”
yeji's eyes widened in surprise, disbelief coloring her features as your words hung in the air. the silenced hallway only rang quieter, leaving only the echo of your confession between you two. "what? you.. you what me?"

I’m not longer your muse?
Hongjoong x reader
Summary: Overhearing a conversation between Hoonjoong and a girl he was working with, made you to notice a change in their relationship and perhaps the end of yours thinking he likes her more than you.
Tumblr media
Your pov:
When I started dating Hongjoong, I knew that he would be busy most of the time, but what I didn’t know was that he would want to be around even when he was busy. As the relationship progressed, he became more comfortable telling me about his problems and insecurities. He also started to share his work with me. When he was working on a song, he would ask for my opinion, wanting to know what I thought.

When he is stuck on a song, he will ask for my advice. When he wasn’t inspired by writing a song, he would ask if I could accompany him. He called me his muse multiple times and told me he would just look at me or talk to me, and he would immediately get inspired.

Now, lately, I have seen that change. Since he began working with this new girl, he rarely calls me or texts me; he also doesn’t call me to ask if I could visit him at the studio.

I guess he was busy with this new project, and you understood. But as the days passed, I didn’t hear from him. The only way I got any updates on him was from Seonghwa, who would tell me what Hongjoong was up to. I didn’t think anything bad about him spending time with this new girl; I understood it was his job.

But when the song came out, I thought everything would go back to normal, but I was wrong. I mean, he did text back, but his replies were short; he would call just to say good night or to apologize for not being able to talk for longer.

It made me sad because, from what Seonghwa told me, he had more free time; he wasn’t that busy, and again, I didn’t think anything of it.

A few days ago, I had a talk with the boys, and San asked if I could make him one of my special desserts since it’s been a while since I made them anything, and I agreed. I also made them a meal that I knew they would love.

After spending a few hours preparing the delicious food, I packed everything and made my way to the KQ building. I had found Mingi walking in the lobby, so I ran to him. He told me Hongjoong was in the studio and the rest were in the dance practice, so he walked me to the dance practice so I could give him and the boys their food before going to Hongjoong’s studio.

After I give the boys their food, I make my way down to Hongjoong’s studio. I was so excited to see him. It's been a while since we last talked. When I got near his door, I noticed it was cracked open. I could see him sitting and chatting with this new girl, and as I got closer, I could hear what they were talking about.

I wasn’t trying to spice things up for them, but when I heard my name being mentioned, it got me curious, so I stayed silent and heard what they were talking about.

"Yeah, yeah, it’s alright and all, but she doesn’t really understand the music industry like you. I try to teach her, but she just doesn’t understand." Hongjoong said with a sigh.

"Well, you have me if you ever need someone to understand you. I mean, we have been working for a while now, and we understand each other perfectly,” she said as she rubbed his arm.

"Yeah, since I started working with you, I've had a lot of inspiration. It’s like your personality gives me inspiration, a new kind that Y/N doesn’t give me, and this is what I needed,” he replied, laughing.

“I’m so glad we understand each other since we have been working together. I've seen that you kind of like having me around more than your own girlfriend,” she said in a teasing tone.

"Yeah, that’s kind of true with you. I can talk about things she doesn’t understand, and let’s not mention the fact that we have the same interests. I like hanging out with you." Hongjoong said, smiling.

"Hey, we should go out to have dinner again. The new restaurant you took me to last Friday was amazing,” she said excitedly.

"Yeah, of course, let’s finish this up, and we can go there,” he said, getting back to work.

As I listened to them, it made me realize that, in fact, he hasn’t been spending much time with me, always claiming to work late when in reality he’s gone out with me. I also realize that their relationship has changed from being professional to being weary to friendly.

I was so heartbroken hearing him talk about how much better she was at understanding him than me; it broke me and made me feel stupid.

I understand I might not know much about being a music producer or music in general, but I try to understand him and learn from him. I tried so hard to the point where I had to beg Seonghwa to teach me a few things so I could surprise Hongjoong just by having him say that about me.

As I looked at them one last time, I noticed how close she was to him and how he didn’t push her away from him. It hurt me to see them, so I just left. I placed the lunch bag in front of the door, and I walked away, trying to keep my tears from falling.

As I was walking out of the building, I saw the Ateez manager walk up to me and ask if I was leaving so soon. I just smiled at him and walked away. I just wanted to leave as soon as possible.

Once I got one, I broke down crying, thinking about my relationship and whether I was even good enough for Hongjoong. I thought back to our relationship: was I really his muse, like he claimed I was? Is he tired of me? Did he want someone who understood him perfectly? All those questions started to come to mind.

After a few hours of crying, I went to take a shower rather than take a nap. I was tired of crying, and I needed a nap.

The next morning, I got a message from Seonghwa asking if I got to talk to Hongjoong.

Haw💗: Hey, did you get to talk to Hongjoong?

Me: No, he was busy.

Haw💗: Welll you can try again today.  We got off early, so you cancome overr.

Me: I don’t think he will be free. I mean, I guess he’s busy with his new friend.

Haw💗: I’ll convince him to hang out with you don’t worry.

Me: No, it’s okay. I just wish he would want to hang out with me instead of her and own his own account, not having to be asked to...

Haw💗: I swear, he’s kind of stupid sometimes he’ll come around. Don't worry.

Me: I hope that when he does, it’s not too late.

Haw💗: hey! have some faith he can be obvious a times, but he’s a good guy.

Me: If you say so, anyway, I’m going out with my friend, so talk to you later.

Haw💗:Okay, have fun.

Right after I was done texting Seonghwa, I called a friend of mine to see if she wanted to do something, and she agreed. I needed to get my head around Hongjoong, and I knew she would keep me busy.

We had agreed to go to the mall, so she had picked me up, and once we arrived, we went to our favorite stores, and we were having a good time. Then we went to get a bubble, and we got our drinks. I heard a voice that I could recognize anywhere, so I looked for it, and then I found it.

It was Hongjoong and his friend; they were here at the mall, laughing and acting way too friendly. What got me confused was that Seonghwa said that they would be off early and that they would be at the dorms, so why was Hongjoong here?

I was standing there, just looking at him with a hurt and betrayed look on my face. I just understood why he was spending so much time with her instead of me, his girlfriend.

Then I saw him turning around with a smile on his face. He looked up to me, and his smile slowly started to disappear once he saw the expression on my face. I saw him walking my way, but I turned around and called for my friend, telling her it was time to go.

After we had left the mall, my friend dropped me off at my house and left, telling me to call her once I was cool off.

Twenty minutes didn’t pass when I heard a knock at the door, and I immediately knew it was Hongjoong. As much as I didn’t want to open the door, I did because I wanted an explanation. I wanted to know if our relationship was over.

Once I opened the door, I moved aside so he could get in rather than close the door. I watched in silence as he took his coat and shoes off and walked into my living room.

He sat down and gestured for me to do the same, and I did, but on the other side of the couch, not wanting to set him up. The room got quiet, but then he started talking.

"Hey, it’s been a long time. I haven’t seen you in a while,” he said nervously.

“Why are you talking nervously? Had you done something wrong? You only talk like that when you know you're in trouble,” I asked, ignoring what he had said.

"Well, I don’t know what I did; I just know that you're upset with me,” he said, looking at me.

“You got to be fucking kidding me,” I said under my breath.

“So why are you mad? By the way, I got your food. The trout was delicious, and I also like it,” he asked, smiling.

“Is it always going to be about her? If so, please save this bullshit and get out of my place,” I reply, pissed.

“What? What are you talking about?” He asked, confused.

“Every time you started to work with her, everything was about her. All the conversations we had were about her. I asked, raising my voice.

"Wow, calm down. Why are you so mad at her? She did nothing wrong,” he said, defending her.

"See, here we go again. Look, let’s save each other time and end this here. I overheard what you told her. I heard when you told her that she was your new muse and how she understood you better than I did, so if you love her so much, please leave and never come back. You are just hurting me." I said I was trying not to show my pain. Through my voice

“You were there? So you went to leave the food? Why didn’t you walk in?” He asked, surprised.

“San had asked if I could make his favorite dessert, and I thought, Why not make you all some food that will give me the excuse to come see you? But you were already busy and talking badly behind my back, so I just left, and now I want you to live. If you're just going to ignore the problem, please go back to her since she seems to understand you.” I said, getting up from the couch and walking to my bedroom.

After a few seconds, I heard the front door open and close, letting me know he had chosen her. I just sat down on my bed and broke down crying, knowing he actually chose her over me. He chose down; he just met over some, and he knew longer.

After crying for an hour or so, I fell asleep. I didn’t have the energy to do anything. I felt miserable. I felt lost and hopeless, so I just fell asleep.

__

Hongjoong pov:

After I left your place, I walked back to the dorms, and once I walked in, San and Wooyoung came running, asking where I was and if you were with me, but once they saw I was alone, they went back to the living room, and Seonghwa asked if we could talk.

We went to his room, and he closed the door and asked me to sit down, and with a very serious tone, he asked where I was.

“Where were you?" He asked, “Were you with me?" Did you know she wanted to see you for so long?”

“How do you know she did? How much time have you been spending with her?” I asked, annoyed.

“Since you started to ignore her and since she asked me to help her on something,” he answered.

“Why had she wished you to help her? Why can’t she come to me if she needs help?” I asked, pissed.

“She’s been seen that you would rather spend time with your new lady friend instead of her; she also doesn’t have many friends, and she chooses to hang out with me; she also wanted to surprise you, idiot,” he said, rolling his eyes.

“What do you mean surprised me?” I was confused.

“She wanted to show you that she can understand your work and that she can help you when you are stuck on a song. She wanted to show you that she understands the music industry. She came to me for help to surprise you. She came and asked. I said no; I want you to help her, but she needs begging, so I agree." He replied, raising his voice.

“She really begs you to teach her.” I asked in surprise.

"Yes, and right before you got here, she texted me, telling me that she thinks you guys broke up. She told me that she would mess with the boys and me. So tell me, did you really end the relationship with this new girl? Was she worth your relationship? Was she worth hurting? Was she really better than you?" He kept asking as he walked back and forth angrily.

“She thinks we broke up.” I asked Desbelove.

"Yeah, I would too if I were her. You know you could be a better boyfriend if you just paid a little more attention to what she was doing and the effort she tried to put into your relationship. So if you want to fix your relationship, you should go and apologize and tell her how you really feel. And if what you say to your lady friend has any meaning, then just end things with her; she doesn’t deserve all this pain,” Seonghwa said, and he pissed me out of his room.

After talking to Seonghwa, I went to my bedroom and sat down on my bed, and I just thought about everything Seonghwa said. I was so upset with myself that I let myself go, and I became someone I didn’t recognize, and it’s costing me my relationship.

I was thinking of ways to apologize to you, but no matter what, I still think about the way I treated her and how I ignored her to spend time with someone else. I was disgusted by my behavior, and I wish I could have done this differently.

After I just sat down thinking about what I should do, I tried to go to sleep, thinking it was best to work things out tomorrow, but no matter what I did, I couldn’t fall asleep. Guilt was eating me up. I couldn’t stop thinking about how you might be feeling, and the thought of it didn’t let me sleep.

The next day, I woke up before the guys and left the dorms. I went for a walk, then I went to buy a
little stuff to make something to eat for y/n.

Once I got into her apartment, I went to her kitchen as quietly as possible and started to cook her something delicious.

After a few minutes, I heard you walking down the hallway. Then I saw her right behind me, and I was kind of scared to face her just to have her kick me out, but then she started talking in a low voice.

“What’s all this? What are you doing here? I thought we ended things,” she asked.

"Well, I thought I could make you something more delicious to eat than we could talk about last night, if that’s okay with you,” I asked nervously.

“You better have a good excuse because I’m so ready to end everything. I’m not going to be anyone’s joke,” she replied as she sat down on the kitchen table.

“I promise I’ll try to fix everything. I’ll do everything I need to fix my mistakes,” I said in a low tone.

After I was done cooking, I placed everything on the table and sat down across from you. As she was eating quietly, I was scared to do or say anything, so I just looked down at my lap.

I was coming up with ways to fix my relationship. I really didn’t want to lose you, and that scared me. She has been the best thing that has happened to me, and I’m afraid to lose her because I know that without her, I’ll be a mess.

Ever since we started dating, she has been there to help me every step of the way. She helps me a lot with so many things, one of them being the boys. They love her so much that they respect her and obey her more than me.

After she was done eating, I cleaned up as she went to sit on the couch. I was so nervous. I hoped she could forgive me. I hoped I didn’t mess it up too much.

Once I was done cleaning, I went to sit on the couch with you. I was nervous still, but I had to get this over with, so I started to talk.

“I’m sorry for how I have been acting. I haven’t been the best boyfriend, and I have been ignoring it. I’m so sorry. I wish I could have acted differently." not looking at her in the eye.

“Am I no longer your muse?” She asked sadly, “I mean, I heard what you told her that she gives you a new kind of inspiration that I don’t give you, and that to me, it seems that I’m no longer your muse, the one you needed.”

“I was stupid to say anything like that at first, but knowing that I might lose you that I might lose the one that made way days better scares me. Your all I need, your all I think about, and you help me when I need help with my music.” I said, finally looking at her.

“But I didn’t understand you the way you would like. I tried my best to do so, but I just failed to understand your world,” she said as some tears fell from her eyes. “You know, ignoring me really hurt me. I thought I was going to lose you to her. I thought you didn't love me any more.”

"No, baby, you are and forever will be my muse. You are the reason why I’m always working. You always encourage me to do my best. I can’t ever replace you with everything I want and need,” I said, smiling softly. “I'm sorry for ignoring you. I was acting stupid, and I didn't know what I was doing. I didn't think I would make you feel this way.”

“Did you ever think of ending our relationship to be with her? Do you actually have more things in common with her than with me?” She asked, unsure.

“Yes and no.” I replied in a chuckle, “We do share the same musical interests and a few other things, but I have more things in common with you, like our sense of humor and stuff we like to do in our free time.”

“I mean, yeah, but is that enough for you? Are you okay with me not understanding you one hundred percent?” she said, smiling.

"Yeah, it doesn't bother me; it actually gives me a reason to teach you new things. Baby, I'm so sorry. I need you. I can’t imagine being without you. I want to go back, like before. Have you in the studio, and be my little helper.” I said, putting y/n into my chest.

“I don't know. Convince me, and I might,” she said, smiling up at me.

“I’m sure I came up with something in the meantime. I heard from some that you beg him to teach you a thing or two about music. Is that true?” I asked, teasing

“I’m going to kill Hwa; he promises not to say anything, but he rats me out to you,” she said, blushing.

“You know, that’s kind of cute and sweet of you to try to surprise me, but don’t go to him or any of the boys; I get jealous, and don’t make food for the boys only for me,” I said, whining.

“How can I say no to the boys, especially Sannie? He looks so cute with his cute puffy cheeks and that cute voice he makes. It’s hard for me to say no to them,” she said, giggling.

"Baby, I promise not to ever ignore you. No for another girl, not for nothing; your all I need and want. I’m sorry for my actions. Because of that, I almost lost you. I can’t afford to lose you, and from now on, I will not talk to her or hang out with her unless I really have to, but I’ll make sure you're there as well." I said, kissing the top of her head.

As we sat on the couch, hugging each other, I couldn’t help but think that I could have lost her. I could have lost the only person who made my bad days good and who was there to support me, my little muse. I can’t believe she forgives me now. I won’t ever make the same mistake again. I can’t afford to lose her, not when she has done so much for me. I will make sure to show her how much I love and appreciate her.
~~~
I hope you guys enjoyed it and sorry if it was bad :(
Riled Up (San x Reader)
Tumblr media
Gif Credits
Genre: Smut Word Count: 1k Member: San | Group: Ateez Content Warning(s): Good ol’ dirty smut, porn what plot Author’s Note: Guess who found an old fic stashed away from 2020 :]
Stripping off your jacket, you sent a glare to San as he had been teasing you all throughout your company dinner. You thought it’d be nice to bring him as your plus one to introduce to your coworkers for the creepy older ones to stop hitting on you, but that backfired as he wouldn't stop trying to get in between your thighs all night.
You had to fake a cough three times, almost actually spewing back up whatever you ate in order to keep your lover at bay to make sure you guys didn’t get caught. Needless to say, your closest coworkers got worried and kept more of an eye on you as the night progressed on. You stood up quickly and walked to the washroom quickly before anybody could utter a word. Splashing water on yourself, you looked at the mirror and shook the dirty thoughts out of your head.
Secretly though, you knew that both you and San enjoyed it. Your thoughts came to a halt as you heard the door open as he strolled up to you. He pressed himself against you on the wall, clashing his lips onto yours in a needy manner.
“Sannie,” you whimpered, knowing that you had to get back before it seemed suspicious.
He held his ground, grinding his hard-on from his pants onto your core. You managed to finally get him off of you before letting out a sigh.
“Can’t we just finish this dinner before you get all needy?”
He crossed his arms whilst raising an eyebrow.
“Thought you liked it baby, but I suppose,” he replied suggestively.
Quickening your pace, you rounded the corner and sat back down at the table, apologizing and reassuring everyone that you were all right. Unbeknownst to your lover, your panties had soaked through and onto your nice dress pants.
***
You huffed as you sent another glare to him as he was stripping off his top after you both somehow made it home in one piece. You couldn’t stay mad at him though, you needed him as much as he needed you.
He turned quickly as he gently pushed you on the bed, letting his legs straddle yours and immediately, you could feel how aroused he was.
“Mmf San, you really had to do that huh?” you mumbled as he began to plant kisses on your cheek, trailing to your lips.
He placed his lips on yours as he began to grind down on your heated core. Letting a finger trail down to your folds, he didn’t even have to slip into your panties to find out how wet you were.
“Is this all cause of me love?” he teased, smirking at you knowing how irritated you were at him. You didn’t reply but instead, bucked your hips up to feel more of his fingers.
“I knew you’d secretly enjoy it baby, feel what you did to me?” he cooed even further, letting his cock twitch on your soaked panties.
You let out a small moan before he stripped off the rest of his garments and slid your soiled panties down. Aligning himself at your folds, he let his sex rub around your slick before sliding in without any trouble. You let him bottom out, feeling the familiar feeling of him inside of you.
“Mmm San, can’t stay mad at you forever, you feel-- hnng too good,” you wavered. He let his hand caresses your face as he planted kisses on your neck.
“That’s right baby, that’s it,” he breathed out.
You start to rock your hips, needing more friction before you felt his cock twitching and he stilled. It took you off guard.
“Um San…?” you questioned before you looked up, his face was flushed and he avoided your gaze the more your walls clamped around him.
He let himself slide out before he could be more stimulated as he looked down in shame.
“Sorry um, kinda got carried away,” he muttered in a low tone. You looked up at him as he was staring at your wet core. Still in need for friction, you clenched around nothing but started to feel his release and your arousal mix and drip out of you.
“Please let me-- make it up to you,” he stuttered.
As guilty as he felt, he couldn’t deny how hot you looked, still being needy with his release dripping out of you. And you as well, wanted to admit that it was hot. The thought itself was already enough to almost bring his cock back to life, still dripping with his own cum.
“It’s okay Sannie, that was kinda hot,” you admitted, leaning up to give him a kiss on his nose. His eyes still glued to your hole saw his release drip out of you as you shifted. He snaked a hand to his member, gently pumping it as he pressed his lips onto yours again.
“Let me finish what I started,” he mumbled lustfully. He panted as his length grew again, ready for a second round.
“Mm please fill me San, I need you so bad,” you pleaded, walls clenching again in need of friction.
He placed his sensitive length and ghosted over your folds, feeling the sticky aftermath that had just occurred. He let it slide back in, pushing in his cum back into you. That thought was enough to get him riled up again. Needing more, he started to quicken his pace, the overstimulation catching up with him in the process.
“Sannie-- nngh-- feels-- so damn-- good,” you uttered out while you let your fingers stimulate your nipples.
“Are you close baby?” he asked breathlessly. You moaned, taking it as a sign that he was close too and let your walls spasm over his twitching length.
“I’m almost… there,” you whimpered as you rocked your hips quickly, letting yourself clamp over his member and ride out your high.
He stilled inside of you again, shooting his hot seed within your walls. You opened your arms up and wrapped it around him, pulling him down onto you.
“Thank you for not leaving me hanging,” you smiled, planting a kiss on his forehead.
“Does that mean you aren’t mad at me anymore?” he chuckled.
“We’ll see about that, looks like you punished yourself because you got yourself too worked up over dinner,” you smirked.
“Would it be punishment if I enjoyed it? I loved seeing you so needy. C’mon let’s take a shower now before we get any stickier.”
chasing that feeling by tomorrow x together
Tumblr media
if it wasn’t for the giddiness you felt bubbling inside you, you wouldn’t have believed in the turn of events the last few days brought.
Tumblr media
it was the last day before christmas holiday in the school where you taught english. the day was slowly moving towards a cool yet pleasant evening, with kids scurrying around to bid goodbye to teachers and friends before heading home, and faculty members stopping by a bit longer to chat before the long awaited break.
snow had started to coat the streets of seoul a couple of hours prior to your exit from the premise of the building. a smile crept over your face, as you enjoyed the feeling of the cold flakes gently landing on your skin, making your way to the metro station to head home.
after that, it was a flurry of events: chan had visited your apartment (thanks to the spare key you gave him) and left a small envelope on the console table near the door; it contained train tickets for a small skiing location in the gangwon-do prefecture, along with a tiny note handwritten by him.
“hey pookie! the guys and i have rented a cabin in this small village for the holidays, come join us! and no, we don’t accept a negative answer ♡ i’ll pick you up at the station”
you had just enough time to change into more comfortable clothes, pack a suitcase with warm clothes and your skiing gear, grab the presents for the boys and off you were towards the train station!
Tumblr media
you and chan had a bit of something going on, it was clear to everyone. the fine line between friendship and romance had started to get more and more blurred, with both of you making clear moves and statements that made it obvious you were in love with one another — despite not having confessed yet.
it was easy, considering you were both big on physical affection; hugs, naps together, holding hands whenever, soft kisses placed over cheeks or foreheads, tons and tons of cuddling… the kids were almost exhausted of hearing you say that you were just friends. friends didn’t behave like that and didn’t look at each other like that.
they were just hoping that the amounts of mistletoe hanging around the cabin and the festive atmosphere would give you the final push.
Tumblr media
the 25th was a very sunny day, the majority of which was spent outside in the snow — whether skiing, snowboarding or simply chilling together.
then, after dinner, you all gathered on the carpet to exchange gifts, a warm glow coming from the lit fireplace. unsurprisingly, you and chan were sitting one next to the other, his arm lazily draped around your waist, while your hand would occasionally come to rest over his thigh.
while the other kids were busy opening the matching sweaters you’d gotten them (and throwing a tantrum over who wore it better), you took the chance to give chan his very own christmas present.
it was a small box, and just from the outside he realised it must have come from a very expensive jewellery brand. he sent you a glare, to which you replied by sticking out your tongue.
the black ribbon came off together with the lid, revealing the equally dark inside of the package. resting on a velvety cushion was a silver dog tag, engraved on both sides. the first thing chris noticed was how it perfectly matched the style of his chain bracelet. then, the quote on the front caught his attention: together forever, never apart; maybe in distance, but never at heart. the back also had something etched on it — the korean names of his friends.
his eyes shot up to meet yours, and you swore they were almost glossy.
“i don’t even know what to say… it’s just perfect.”
then he lifted you up from the floor and put you on his lap, hugging you tightly. you returned the hug immediately, your arms going around his neck.
“you don’t have to say anything. just know that the sentence speaks the truth and you are so, so loved.”
his grip tightened even more around your mid and you smiled in the crook of his neck, placing a gentle kiss there. he found himself willing to chase the feeling of your lips, although he knew it was not the moment.
“put it on for me, please?”
Tumblr media
later that night (or was it the wee hours of the morning?), well past the time everyone had gone to bed, chan found himself in the kitchen, trying to make a hot chocolate. he regretted not wearing a shirt over the short, grey sweats he used to sleep the second some hot milk droplets landed on his chest.
“you should be more careful when cooking, mister bang.”
he jolted in surprise, and you couldn’t hide the giggles that left your mouth.
he was about to retort, but when he turned around and saw you wearing his very oversized hoodie over your definitely-not-wintery pyjamas, the words died in his throat.
“do you want some hot chocolate?”
the way your eyes lit up pulled a chuckle out of him, and he went to grab a second cup from the shelf. while he had his back turned to you, you went and hugged him from behind, your arms snaking around his waist and resting on his abs.
“thank you for inviting me here. i don’t think i’ve ever had this much fun over the holidays.”
one of his hands came over your own, giving it a gentle squeeze.
“hey, don’t mention it! that’s what… friends are for, right?”
you felt a slight tinge of weariness in his voice, and you couldn’t help the small pang of disappointment in your chest.
“right, friends…”
a relatively comfortable silence fell over the small kitchen of the cabin. while chris finished preparing the beverage, you stayed glued to his back. you could feel his warm skin, the way his muscles moved with every action, the faint sound of a song he was humming.
chocolate now safely poured inside the mugs, the boy turned around.
“wait here a second for me, yeah?”
without even waiting for an answer, he lifted you up and sat you on the counter; then he disappeared in the living room, where faint lights from the christmas tree created shadows over the walls.
he came back a few moments later, a small box in his hand. it was very similar to the one you presented him a few hours earlier.
“i know i should’ve given this to you before, but i didn’t want the guys to make fun of me.”
he laughed while coming closer, and you instinctively parted your legs to allow him to stand right in front of you. the dog tag caught on the dim kitchen light. you smiled.
he started humming a tune again, probably to ease the nerves. you recognized it as chasing that feeling by txt.
you couldn’t contain the giddiness bubbling inside you while carefully unpacking the present. the white box contained a bracelet, whose very thin chain matched that of the necklace you’d gifted him, and the small charm dangling from it was of two hands making a pinky promise.
wordlessly, yet with a warm smile across your features, you moved your arm in front of chris, the bracelet in your other hand. while he was hard at work at unclasping it and wrapping it around your wrist, you caught a glimpse of the two words etched on the back.
“… is it a confession?”
“only if you want it to be.”
the smiles on both of your faces were already enough of an answer, yet the moment needed something more.
one of his hands cupped your cheek, while one of yours gently took a hold of the dog tag.
chris stopped one millimetre away from your lips, still giving you the chance to turn down both his confession and the kiss.
“na sungmyeonga, come and kiss me, i just keep on chasing that feeling.”
with a slight tug on the necklace his soft lips landed on yours.
it was a sweet kiss, all smiles and giggles. your hands came over his wrists while both of his were now holding your face.
and boy, did you both chase each other’s feelings with your mutual pining!
the next morning, no one was surprised to find the both of you sleeping on the couch, necklace and bracelet on full display. apparently, the smiles on your faces were enough for everyone to know that you finally belonged to one another.
Karaoke Nights
Tumblr media
Yunjin x Fem! Reader
Already stressed from all of the busy work Yunjin was required to do for her album promotion, she seeks an escape at a Karaoke bar she habitually visits, not expecting to find the possible love of her life
Warnings- Cannabis usage, swearing, sexual content, mention of alcohol
Word Count- 3.4k
Yunjin’s eyes began to lower as her face contorted into a lazy smile, hair spread messily on the floor as she stared up at the spotted ceiling above, almost convinced that it had been spinning nearly two seconds ago.
The idol brought her blunt back up to her parted lips, inwardly inhaling as she closed her eyes and subsequently sighed out the smoke, where she no later felt the ease of the cannabis flow towards her head.
It was a busy day for Yunijn, to say the least, and it was an evident need for Yunjin to come home to a newly rolled blunt sitting beside her ashtray. During promotions, it was always hectic, and Yunjin knew she could never get herself through such a busy schedule without smoking at least three times a week.
She initially quit just before she debuted, seeing it as a distraction and could possibly ruin her chances at fulfilling her idealistic dreams. Nevertheless, maybe a distraction is just what she needed, so just when the promotions began for their first mini-album, Yunjin picked up her habits once again.
Her members knew about her imperfect ways of coping with her stress levels, and did their best to handle her situation to the best of their ability, whether it be spending their time with her in her dorm as a way of keeping her mind off of things such as weed and alcohol (but mostly weed). Kazuha even offered to get Yunjin special help from one of her family members, claiming they were an addiction therapist and helped immensely with drug users in the past.
“It’s not an addiction, it’s just a divertissement”, Yunjin would claim, half attempting to convince her member and half trying to convince herself.
Maybe it was a dependency, but Yunin couldn’t care less. As long as it wasn’t effecting her work during the day, she could get as high as she liked at night.
And that is what she was, as high as she liked herself to be.
“I’m going out”, Yunjin claimed as she stood up, not realizing that there was nobody surrounding her in the room, and she had just formally spoken to herself. The idol laughed out loud for her mistake before she slides her shirt on, that had previously occupied the floor, and makes her way to the living room, noticing her leader playing an intense game of monopoly with the youngest of the group.
“Hi”, Yunjin smiles widely, eyes crescent as she patted her leader on the head.
“Oh hello Ms. Huh, I smell a little something on you”, Chaewon smiles after she sniffs her members hand, smacking it away after doing so.
“I wonder what it is”, Yunjin smirks.
“Why don’t you go take a shower and clean yourself up”, Chaewon suggests as she rolls the two dice ahead of her onto the board, pumping her first in the air when she came to realize she had rolled doubles.
“Actually, I was going to go out”, Yunjin claims, already walking towards the front entry door.
“Um, to where? Dressed like that?”
“Can I come with?” Eunchae exhorts cheerfully.
“Just to walk around the city, and no you can not come, my little cutie”, Yunjin imitates a frowny face before throwing her car keys up in the air and reaching to grab them, however failing to do so as it comes crashing onto the hardwood floor.
“Whoops”, Yunjin laughs at her antics and picks them up, “tried to be cool there.”
Chaewon huffs air out of her nostrils, shaking her head and laughing at how stupid her member looked at the moment. Her eyes half open and her outfit seeming more for a club than a casual stroll through the city.
Yunjin already knew where she was going. She had the familiar directions set in her mind as she drove down the shaded road, adjacent to a local bar she frequented.
As Yunjin parked her car towards the back of the building, so no cameras could secretly take shots of where she’s been, she began to make her entrance through the back door.
“Yunjin, what’s up?” The owner happily greeted her at the sight of the idol, holding his hand out naturally for a fist bump.
“How’s it going Diego?" Yunjin spoke to the man, kindly returning his fist bump.
The idol took in the sight of the karaoke bar, neon lights illuminating the interior, decorations accompanying the graffitied walls, and the many booths aligned symmetrically, where she could faintly hear the sounds of voices inside the rooms.
Yunjin would often come here when dealing with her stress levels reaching to the point of anxiety. She found this place to be an escape, where the owner allowed her the same private booth each time, leaving the girl alone, free of charge, as she would keep herself entertained in the room with the sounds of her obnoxious singing and the horrific stench of her half-finished blunt.
“It is open?” Yunjin questions, silently imploring that nobody had selfishly taken the only thing that could keep her alive.
“You know it”, Diego smirks, leading the way to the booth just down the hall, searching his pockets for the keys before he later opens the wooden door for the girl.
“You’re the best, I love you”, Yunjin offers one more fist bump before Diego shuts the door and leaves the woman at her peace.
Admiring the sight of the familiar room, Yunjin sighs in relief to herself for finally arriving at her peace. She hadn’t came to this place in some time, probably about a month already, as she was too busy with her promotions for her groups newly released album, and found no time in her schedule to fit her own activities in.
Yunjin finds herself seated on the singular couch, hands reaching out as she skillfully rolled a new blunt for herself, not that she needed it at the moment given how high she already was, but depending on how long she stays at the place, she may need a backup.
“Perfect”, Yunjin smiles, where she later grabs the remote to the TV ahead of her and scrolls through the potential songs she could sing. She clicks her tongue with each lyric video she passes over, already haven done them during her previous visits, and throws her head back when she realizes that she’s too high to even come up with a song to sing, and all the songs appearing on the home screen she’s sang already.
Just when Yunjin is about to attempt to regain her focus on the music she wants to sing, trying desperately to reach her sober self so she could experience some fun for the night, her head raises at the sound of the wooden door to the booth opening. Just before she could yell at the person to get out, not wanting any fans, or random customers, to ruin her only time to herself, she catches a glimpse of the most alluring girl entering the room, where she noticed the girls eyes catch Yunjin's before she retraces her steps, backing up and muttering an apology, saying something along the lines of not knowing the booth was occupied.
Although Yunjin thought she would want any person to back off and leave her to be by herself, she didn’t want such a pretty girl (or maybe she was only average, and Yunjin was just high and horny) to slip through her fingers that quickly.
“Hey wait!” Yunjin announces, not giving her mind enough time to think through what she wanted to say.
She sees you turn around, hand still on the doorknob, and a hopeful look adorning your expression.
“Do you want to stay?” Yunjin questions, and if someone was to guess whether she was sober or high based on that sentence, they would unquestionably guess that she hadn’t touched a single ounce of cannabis in her life.
“Oh um”, you turn to look outside, seeing if the idol was really talking to you.
You knew who the girl was. You had seen her all over posters throughout your city, noticing her groups songs playing endlessly at specific places you would stop by at, whether it be a coffee shop, a thrift store, or whatever place you would occupy yourself with.
Huh Yunjin was insanely famous, especially where you are, and anyone could pick out the idols features in a room full of people. You had always been a fan of the groups music, having a few of their songs added to your playlist, but you didn’t know much about the members, or what their personalities were like.
Certainly, you had not expected one of the members to be alone inside the booth you had been recently going to, an escape for you to get your mind off of things such as uni or work.
“Are you ok with that?” You ask gently, not wanting to push any boundaries.
“I wouldn’t have asked if I wasn’t”, Yunjin states, and she knew she would have been much nicer, and a lot less rude, if she weren’t intoxicated at the moment. Unfortunately, her words flew off of her tongue before she could give herself the chance to determine if it was something alright to say.
“Oh”, you looked around once again, “sure.”
“Ok”, Yunjin smiles and pats the seat beside her, “I was trying to think of something to sing but I couldn’t, have anything in mind?”
You waltz your way over to the couch, comfortably taking the open spot next to the idol, immediately sensing the smell of weed infiltrate your nose, and you found yourself less surprised than you should have been, deeming it inevitable for an idol that endures so much pressure to naturally resort to drugs as a coping mechanism.
Yunjin noticed when the smell of weed came to you, and she picked up the blunt and brought it to you, offering you a hit wordlessly.
“Oh”, you waved your hands before her, “I don’t usually smoke.”
Yunjin keeps the blunt in front of you, as if she was refusing your decline.
“You don’t usually?” She asks.
You nod your head, furrowing your eyebrows at what she was trying to get at.
“So does that means you have before, if you don’t usually do it?”
She keeps the blunt in her grasp, ready for when you change your mind. Yunjin wanted you to be high with her. You were so ethereal, that being this high in front of you was utterly embarrassing to the idol, so if you were to smoke a little yourself, you would at least be in the same state as her.
“I guess yeah, I just don’t do it too often. Only at like parties or with friends. Or maybe for a special occasion”
Yunjin scoots closer to you, her leg now brushing against yours.
“Well, you’re with me... so you can say it’s a special occasion”, Yunjin holds the blunt now closer to you, hoping you give in and eventually take it for yourself.
“Why is that so special?” You question, possibly flirting if you were to look at it in such a way.
“Is it not special to be in a private room with the Huh Yunjin?”
Yunjin wants to crack you. She wants you to give in to her charm, fall to your knees and do anything she wants. If she were sober, she knows damn well she would have already flirted her way into pinning you up against the wall, hand half way up your thigh while the other was attached to your neck. But, being in this state, Yunjin needs to choose her words wisely, cautiously get you to the point of desperation.
“Why don’t you show me why it’s so special?” You lean closer, face inches apart from hers. You could tell she was as high as a kite, her eyes barely open as she glares at you with such desire. You could tell she was into you already, being the only reason behind your confidence. Or you possibly were overthinking it, and maybe she was just a natural flirter when she was on some sort of drug. Technically, you didn’t know if she was into you, but you chose to play the hand you were delt.
Yunjin, seeing how close your face was, takes it as a sign to do what she is about to do, and she leans in closer to you, her lips now inches away from yours, and just before she can connect them, you instantly pull away with a smirk, turning your attention to the tv.
“I know what song to do”, you state proudly, noticing in the corner of your eye Yunjin’s hand running through her hair in frustration and shame.
You stand up, typing in “Hypnosis”, a newly released song by Ive, and as you hit play, Yunjin tugs you back down onto the couch smoothly.
“At least take a hit first”, Yunjin brings the blunt up to her face, sealing the end with her lips, inhaling the smoke, and before you could protest, Yunjin grabs you by the back of your neck and pulls you in. You know what she is trying to do, and in all honesty, it aroused you, so you open your lips slightly and allow her to blow the smoke into your mouth, her top lip just barely grazing yours.
You felt a rush of excitement flow throughout your body, a response to not only the weed, but the proximity in which you were in with the idol. Her hand doesn’t leave the back of your neck, and as you release the smoke to float lifelessly in the air, your eyes open and connect with Yunjin’s.
“Another”, you state, and Yunjin wastes no time in bringing the blunt to her lips once again, this time taking an even longer hit than before.
You close your eyes and take in the smoke, the same elation from before redeeming itself once again. Your eyes begin to get heavy, settling to the same height as Yunjin’s, and you smile when the euphoria of the high knocks into your senses.
“Another.”
Yunjin does it once again, her hand never leaving the back of your neck, and after all the hits you’ve taken, the lust floating in the air finally catches onto you, and you feel yourself becoming desperate for the girl in front of you.
Yunjin can confidently say she has been desperate this entire time, throbbing as she blew the smoke into your lips and practically drooling in anticipation each time you made eye contact with you.
You were probably the prettiest, hottest, and sexiest girl she had ever seen, without a doubt, and even the weed can’t fog her mind into thinking so.
As Yunjin stares into your eyes, your expression matching hers, she feels as if she can’t hold it anymore, like she’s going to burst if she doesn’t have you at this exact moment.
The blunt is long forgotten on the table, knowingly being placed there, unbeknownst to you. However, you later find out the blunt is no longer in Yunjin’s hand when she brings her right hand up to your chin, her fingers holding the bottom while her thumb hovers over your lips.
You open your mouth slightly, seeing how close her thumb is, and Yunjin slowly brings her finger past your lips and into your mouth. You clasp your lips around her thumb, not breaking eye contact with the idol, and nor did she, staring into your eyes with evident and pure lust.
“Your the sexiest woman I’ve ever seen”, Yunjin mutters seductively.
“How sexy Yunjin?” You smirk after her thumb is released from your lips, now placed upon your cheek. You can guarantee yourself that if it wasn’t for the weed you had previously taken, you would have most definitely been on the ground by now, deceased by how flustered the woman made you.
Yunjin rubs the back of your neck with her other hand, “You want to know?”
“Tell me”, you respond, your attention now placed on Yunjin’s lips, as was hers.
“You’re so sexy, that all I’ve been able to think about the whole time you've been here, was how bad I need to be between your legs.”
If you weren’t already an aroused mess, that comment completely guaranteed how bad you needed this woman. How bad you wanted to taste her lips, and hear her speak to you so sexily while she was under you.
“All I can think about right now is how much I want to taste your lips”, you respond, and that’s what ignites Yunjin.
The idol leans in towards your lips, slowly connecting them to hers, smirking as she hears you moan into the kiss, anticipating for it to happen already. You grab onto her waist, opening your mouth to give her more access before she skillfully slips her tongue past your lips. You do the same, tongue brushing against hers as your hands roam her revealed waist.
Yunjin pulls you onto her lap, allowing you to straddle her while she brings one hand on your waist, guiding you to begin grinding on her. You do just that, allowing another moan to flow easily off your tongue when her lips detach from yours and move to your neck, Yunjin’s tongue running up and down your newly formed hickeys.
The music in the background has already shuffled to a few new songs, and you notice the one that began playing was Yunjin’s very own song, “Unforgiven”.
You giggle when you realize what was playing, and Yunjin breaks away from your neck to see what you were laughing at, instantly noticing the background music.
“You know this song?” You ask sarcastically, and Yunjin pecks your lips before saying she might know a little of it.
You laugh seeing Yunjin’s hurt expression when you climb off of her lap, looking as if she were a boy who’s balls had just been left blue. You reach across the table ahead of you and grab one of the microphones, putting it up to your swollen lips before you begin to obnoxiously sing along with the vocals originating from the tv.
“If you sing this song with me I’ll let you take me home”, you state with a sly wink, already walking over to her to hand her the disregarded microphone.
Yunjin roles her eyes, smiling shyly at how cute you were before she takes the microphone out of your hand, walking towards your figure, wrapping one arm around you as she sings her part of the song.
The two of you continue to sing the rest of the song, and a few more that follow along after it, and Yunjin had so much fun she almost forgot the time, and the gift of being able to take you home.
“Shit”, Yunjin states, and she releases herself from your hold before rushing over to her phone, hoping the time wouldn’t completely blow her away.
“Fuck Chaewon’s going to kill me!” Yunjin shouts, setting aside the sweaty microphone and swiftly throwing her jacket on.
“We have to go”, Yunjin states in a hurry, and your heart rather flutters at the thought of her truly taking you to her place, giving you the time of your life.
You grab your things from the couch with Yunjin still tugging on your hand, and the two of you erupt into a fit of laughter as you rush out of the building, hands still intertwining while you make your way into the car.
“My lady”, Yunjin jokes, holding the car door open for you with her arm extending out in one swift motion.
You giggle at her silly manner, leaning towards her and pecking the idols lips before you take your seat in her car.
While Yunjin feels the rush of heat rise to her cheeks, she shakes her head at the thought of how lucky she was to find a girl like you at such an unexpected time.
And the two of you still have the whole night ahead of you.
TAKING MY TIME
pairing: pham hanni x fem! reader
trope: strangers to lovers! fluff! slowburn!
the orientation hall is filled of students around your age, crowded and filled with chatters among students and classmates. you sat alone in the corner as you wait for the orientation to end, it's smart really, how you genuinely thought walking away from your classmates and picking a seat away from them was a good idea. good thing you brought a notebook and had the motivation to listen and list down notes of what was needed before the assigned work for students was announced.
the next thing after the announcement is the list of students at every department in the city hall, it could be anywhere, it was random and you could be grouped with people who you didn't know.
that wasn't the worst part, you were capable, it didn't matter what the people around you couldn't and could do; it only mattered to you that you are able to do a lot. the thing is this is a requirement to complete the school year, working on a department as a trainee to gain experience, spending hours to complete the given time and getting nothing in return but a certificate...
so you had no choice, it would have been nice to work on a tech company but you didn't want to spend 8 days in front of your computer and then 2 days of staring at the thin air and having to pay a lot of money just for the experience.
the easiest way was the hard way.
there are different departments around the city, it could be the department for the agriculture, department of the fire and safety management and more, but the worst of them all had to be the council for the children and the traffic department.
well, working on an office and taking care of kids isn't as bad as walking on mountains and rice fields or standing in the middle of the road while it's blazing hot.
you just weren't fond of kids.
being assigned for the council for the welfare of children leads you straight to a local kindergarten around the city and that means you'll have to teach and take care of kids.
you have nieces, yes; but you never took initiative to take care of them. you've been a sole hater of kids, at least that's what you claim to be. you didn't know how to work your way in it if you ever got assigned in that department.
on the other side of the orientation hall, is a girl who hopes to be assigned at the council for the welfare of children.
pham hanni.
she's excited, she looked forward for this new experience. yes, it's tough, it's going to be very hard but wouldn't it be worth it? she thinks so.
as the orientation continues, hanni made sure to list everything that was needed, no time to wait and just sit there, she needs to be assigned at the kindergarten department.
"is everything crystal clear students?" the principal asks, looking at the students ahead of him as he stands in front. in unison, the students answer: "yes, sir."
the screen in front of the hall shows lists of departments, the principal prepares to announce the group of students working together.
you expect that there would be 10 of you but no, as the third department was announced, you instantly freeze on your seat.
"council for the welfare of children, pham hanni and jeon y/n." the principal requires students to stand up when their names are mentioned, you immediately scramble to stand up, hearing snickers behind and just on the other side is another girl.
"okay who's pham hanni? raise your hand." the principal says, the short girl raises her hand with a huge smile on her face. you turn your head to look at her, you couldn't make out her face as she had her back facing you.
"how about jeon y/n." you raise your hand reluctantly, the principal nods and hanni turns to look at you, before you immediately sit down.
"so those are the people you'll work with, pham and jeon will be immediately deployed in the city's kindergarten to teach and help kids. remember to print out forms and checklists and place them in a brown envelope."
it wasn't supposed to be this bad, you stand in front of the school's office as the adviser allowed you to use the photocopy machine for the forms you'll need.
you didn't notice hanni behind you, approaching. "uhm hey." she says, you look behind and see her, holding two daily time records in her hands.
"uh, hi... can i do something for you..?" you ask her, she smiles and awkwardly looks around the office as she hands you a daily time record. "i had an extra one of this so, i was planning to give it to you." she says, you slowly take it from her and place it on the table, not really putting out that much of an expression as you nod.
"thanks..." you only say before busying yourself with the machine again. hanni sighs and laughs sheepishly, embarrassed by your lack of enthusiasm for her presence. "you're printing our forms already?" she asks, you nod and continue to face the printing machine.
"yes, ms. kim allowed me." hanni blinks her eyes and remembers that you two are required to get your parental consent signed by a law firm office for a notary and she decides if she can ask you to come with her,
"uh, you want to come with me? get the notary for our parental consent..." in all honesty, hanni was taking this whole work immersion requirement seriously, like she's actually getting a job. she wants to get to know you and get comfortable with each other even if the real work is just 5 days.
after that, you don't have to talk to her again.
yet you try to entertain her so she won't get her feelings hurt. "okay." you say as you face her and put the papers in the brown envelope with her and your name on it.
you both stand outside the law firm office, waiting for your papers to be signed by the lawyer. hanni peeks at your every now and then and regrets it when she sees you looking back at her.
but she can't help herself but just look at you, cautious whether you're bothered by her.
"hey, you're parental consent is ready." you tell her as she shoots up and looks at you. "w-what?" she asks, you stare at her, emotionless. "your paper is ready." you tell her, hanni immediately takes her pouch and grabs her money as she enters the office to pay for the notary service.
you follow next and take yours before making your way before her back to school to pass the paper to the adviser.
"aren't you excited?" hanni asks as she walks behind you, you look just a bit behind and back to the front. "not really." you answer her, hanni nods and figures you're probably not a big fan of school requirements.
you feel bad at your lack of enthusiasm, but it's just how you are. "how about you?" you ask, hanni's face lightens as she hears you ask about her. "yes! i really want to work at a daycare or kindergarten as a teacher, don't you think kids are great?" hanni says, you shrug at her question.
"not fond of them. but you do you, they'll probably like you a lot." you tell her as you stop walking to let hanni catch up. hanni looks at you as she smiles and nods her head. "i hope so." she says as she walks beside you.
first day.
the first day is as bad as you knew it is gonna be, you wake up early in the morning and forget to make lunch, you make your way to a local convenience store to buy a half-ass double cheese pepperoni sandwich and run to catch up to the bus on the daycare department.
entering the office, you look like you didn't get enough sleep. hanni watches as you walk inside and place your bag on the floor and immediately eat your sandwich with your brows furrowed and eyes still closed.
"y/n? are you okay?" she asks, you take deep breath and look up at her and sigh. "yeah, i'm okay." you tell her and even before she says something, she gets cut off by the supervisor who asks her to come see the kids.
meanwhile you're left in the office with a stack of paper to arrange and nametag designs to work at.
hanni's assigned job is simple, just entertain the kids... the supervisor and teachers obviously prefer her over you and they like the job she's doing. and here you are, dumped with papers to work at, with two hours of sleep catching up to school and no lunch packed.
hanni enters the office again as the kids are back to listening to their teacher, she sees your slumped figure, printing and designing nametags.
"it's lunch already, have you brought yours?" you sigh as you hear her voice and look at her. "no, i didn't pack anything. i'll buy after this." hanni grimaces when she sees the pile of paper in the desk and the time, you're not gonna make it on time with all the stack of paper they gave you.
"but lunch is about to finish, are you sure you can make it on time?" she asks. "yeah, i can if you give me some space." you tell her without even sparing her a glance, hanni looks away and sits at her assigned desk, watching you work.
hanni sees the door open and it's the supervisor. "oh pham! the kids are about to go home, what about saying goodbye to them?" they say as they look at hanni who smiles at them. "yeah i will! just waiting for the teacher to signal me." she says.
the supervisor looks at you and takes a peek at your work. "seems like you're not finished yet." they say and you try your best not to click your tongue in annoyance. "what do you say pham? we can eat lunch at the cafeteria." the supervisor offers but hanni shakes her head and looks at you. "i'm okay here." the supervisor nods and leaves the office.
it's clear you aren't in your best mood, about to finish as hanni waits.
"you can leave you know?" you tell her as you continue to arrange files. hanni shakes her head. "but, i want to eat lunch with you." you chuckle, not looking at her direction. "i can't i'm eating outside." you say, hanni watches as you finish and brush yourself and leaving the office.
hanni sighs as she looks at your now empty desk, and puts the lunch she made in your desk before going to the cafeteria to eat lunch with the supervisor. she knew it's a bit late now and you're probably not going to be allowed to eat outside so she leaves her lunch to your desk incase you come back.
turns out, hanni was right. you stand in the empty office, starving and your pride's about to wear down, now you feel guilty for pushing hanni away and you can't help but rub your temple before sitting down and sighing.
"why am i such an asshole..?" you mutter to yourself before eating the food and thanking hanni in the back of your mind.
after your shift with hanni was done, hanni checks up on you to see if the lunchbox is in your desk, it wasn't there and hanni has no idea where it went, she's starting to think someone else took it from your desk.
the day ends with hanni the backseat of their car, looking out to the window wondering where you are.
second day
hanni doesn't sense any difference on you as you sat on your desk and did your usual work, the kids' class hasn't started yet and hanni cannot find the courage to walk up to you and ask about your day, you seem occupied in your own little world.
hanni sighs as she leaves the office and proceeds to do the work assigned to her, leaving you alone in the office.
after a while, it's lunch again, your were able to finish half of your work in time and when hanni is about to leave and eat lunch in the cafeteria, you make your way to her desk with the lunchbox from yesterday, placing it on her desk.
"is that..?" hanni trails as she looks up at you from the chair she was sitting on, you take a deep breath as you nod. "yeah, it's your lunchbox." you mutter as you watch hanni take the lunchbox and notice that it has a significant weight on it, hanni watches as you make your way out of the office but before you open the door, she calls out to you.
"y/n! where are you going?" hanni asks, looking at the lunchbox in her hands. you look at hanni and raise your eyebrows. "canteen, i'll eat lunch." hanni walks up to you and smiles. "let's eat lunch together."
you can't understand why you feel this way, you sat across hanni on the table and stare at your lunch while hanni is eating hers, you've eaten a good amount of it and as you sat, you can't help letting your mind wander of until hanni notices.
"what's up y/n?" she asks, you look at her and blink your eyes before shaking your head. "nothing..." you mutter.
luckily, your assigned work was finished sooner than you expected and you got the chance to watch hanni help the teacher inside the classroom, being able to see hanni's mature and loving personality, you can't help but notice how well the kids get along with her, you can sense that they'd get attached to her really quick.
after hanni was finished, you agree to accompany her to the bus stop, wherein she'll be picked up by her dad and you'll take the bus.
"so... you made the lunch?" she asks, you stare at the road, seeing the vehicles pass by and you nod. "yes." you woke up early to cook the lunch, which you usually never do, it's a weird routine and you can't get yourself used to it.
hanni smiles as she shrugs. "it's good, i didn't know you could cook." she laugh and it brought you to smile as well. "rarely." you comment and hanni nods.
it was awkward until you see her father pulling up and hanni bids goodbye before getting inside the car.
third day
as hanni waits for your arrival, she can't help but think that you only have two days left with her, the day hasn't even started and she's already sad thinking she probably won't see you often after those five days.
it's an ordinary day, aside from the humid air, hanni can't help but notice your awfully cheerful behavior.
"uhm, good morning y/n!" hanni greets you and sees the smile in your face when you look at her, hanni feels her cheeks warm up and she tries her best to maintain eye contact as you nod your head. "hey, good morning." you tell her as you take a seat, hanni notices that you're bringing a lunchbox, you're own lunchbox.
hanni can't help but smile as the day went on.
it's the usual, there's nothing new as you sat on your desk and did office work while hanni is taking care of the kids and helping the teacher, she's made a name for herself amongst department employees. they all like her.
and you're just there. it's not like it matters to you, you're all cool doing your own thing in your own word. today is a good day, after a long time of waiting, you got your results for your college entrance the same time you arrived home yesterday.
hanni is so ready to ask about why you're so happy.
lunch came, you and hanni decide to go to the same place at the canteen where you are now bringing your own food you cooked yourself. hanni doesn't know how to not look at you, every second, she finds herself stealing glances or just staring.
you don't even notice until hanni speaks.
"uhm, hey you look so happy today... mind if i ask you why?" she says, you raise your brows at her and nod. "yeah." you shrug, it's weird. usually when someone asks you why you're like this, like that, you get annoyed but... with hanni it's different.
"you look so happy today, i mean it's not like you aren't everyday but you look extra bright." hanni laughs under her breath and looks at you, you continue to eat your food as you nod. "uh yeah, i passed my entrance exam and i'm getting my priority program." you tell her, hanni blinks her eyes and is in shock.
well you're smart but she didn't think you'd be able secure a slot before everyone does.
"where?" she asks.
"seoul national university." hanni opens her lips, she's surprised, amazed.
"you're smart, smart." she laughs. you shrug and smile, and hanni feels something funny inside her stomach. "thanks."
as hanni sits in the backseat of their car, she can't help but picture your smile, it's just... so nice to see. hanni sighs and puts her hands on her face before sighing deeply, causing her parents to check if she's fine.
fourth day
after three days, you manage to finish all the papers and work assigned to you, and you were left with nothing anymore. hanni watches as you sit on your desk, tweaking on your laptop and you look bored.
hanni still has to take care of kids and she wonders what you'll be doing in the next day, last day.
she sighs and walks out of the office and she's surprised to see no teacher in the desk, she looks around and walks back to the office to ask the supervisor. "uhm, where's ms. kim?" hanni asks with a smile, the supervisor looks around and sighs.
"oh i forgot to tell you, she's absent for today and tomorrow. sick leave." hanni nods and slowly turns away to look at you as you stare at the window of the office. hanni blinks her eyes and looks at the supervisor again.
"should me and y/n teach together?" she asks, the supervisor looks up from their phone and shrugs. "do as you please."
"ah! no... hanni, i can't teach." you mutter as hanni pulls you out of the office to the classroom and looks at you with a smile. "come on! it's okay, the kids need someone to teach them and it's going to be okay..." hanni looks at you with a smile, relaxing her shoulders.
both of you stand in front of the classroom and you look at the door before shifting your eyes to hanni and sighing. "alright." hanni cheers and hugs you, wrapping her arms around you as she rests her chin on your shoulder.
"uh..." you mutter as you tap her lower back, hanni lets go and laughs sheepishly. "sorry, i'm just so glad..." you nod and open the door for her.
hanni passes a lesson plan to you as she gives you a reassuring smile, making her way in front of the class and telling them to lower down their voice. "everyone! hey, ms. kim is not present today so... for the mean time me and my friend will teach you all today." hanni looks at you as she smiles brightly, you feel tense as every kid looks at you.
"uhm, good morning everyone." you awkwardly wave your hand at them, hanni walks over to you and takes your hand to the front and introduces you. "everyone, this is jeon y/n. she's my super smart friend and she's teaching us math today."
you nod and try to put out an awkward smile, which worked, miraculously.
during the time with the kids, everything felt natural, you slowly feel the tension inside you easing away as you talk to kids. it's weird, how hanni's presence not only comforts kids but you too, a girl the same age as her. you learn not to take things so seriously, finding the right way to talk to kids, it feels different, weird...
hanni packs up her things with a huge smile on her face, she can't even wipe it off even with you staring at her, you exit with her and to the entrance of the building, a storm shows up.
it's raging and violent, the rain is loud as it pours down the cold pavement.
you bring out an umbrella and notice the dark skies, you look at hanni as she stares at the skies, it's raining and she didn't bring any umbrella. you stare at your umbrella before offering it to her. "here, you can use mine." you tell her, hanni looks at you and shakes her head.
"no y/n, i can't just take it when you're gonna be stranded here." she tells you, you can't refute what she said, it's true, you're seriously gonna be stuck here if you insist in letting her go first.
so instead, you pull the umbrella out and reach for her hand. "let's go." hanni doesn't hesitate as she takes your hand and run off to the bus stop wherein her parents were waiting inside their car. hanni lets go of your hand and smiles at you before she offers you a ride home. "let's go, my dad can drive you to your house." you laugh and shake your head.
"it's okay, i'll wait for the bus." you notice the hesitance on hanni's face as her parents wait.
"seriously, it's okay... go now." you tell her as you give her a smile and hanni hears her mother calling out for her before she hurriedly got inside the car.
as the car accelerates, hanni peeks through the window of the backseat to see if you're doing okay.
without realizing, she comes home still thinking about you.
fifth day
"ugh... now i have to make my portfolio in less than a week, i have to catch up to lectures..." hanni sighs as she slumps on her desk, the door opens and you come in, carrying your lunch that you made. hanni looks up and notices the calm expression on your face, she can't but smile.
"uhm, hey." hanni calls out to you, you turn to look at her and smile. "hi, good morning." you simply mutter before turning to work on your portfolio, hanni smiles and leans on her palms, her elbows are propped on the surface of her desk.
hanni looks towards the door of the office and to you. "hey, are you ready to teach again?" she asks, you look at her and nod. "yeah, i think i'm ready." you answer as you close your laptop and look at hanni who smiles brightly stands up.
"okay? then let's go."
"ms. jeon!" you look at the kid who called your name and crouch to his level. you raise your brows at him. "hm? is there something you need help at?" you mutter, he looks at you and grins, you don't exactly know what's on his mind as he looks at hanni.
"do you call ms. pham hanni or honey?"
you stare at the kid as his other classmate snicker, with no idea what's so funny about it, you shrug... they both sound the same so, how will you know the difference?
hanni shakes her head as she laughs and leans on the kid's seat. "hey knock it off, ms. jeon is about to go back to the office." hanni says as she smiles at the kid, feeling her cheeks redden.
you look at her and speak. "they're the same thing." you tell the kid, causing his classmates to all shout in surprise, they were screaming and cheering. hanni looks at you with wide eyes and red face. you shrug as you pick up the kids' papers and leave hanni standing and flustered.
the kids are having their recess and they seem to be enjoying, you watch as one particular kid struggles to peel his oranges and walk up to him to help him peel his oranges but as you do so, hanni takes one of the oranges and only peels half of it before she gives it to the kid for him to peel the rest.
you look at her for a brief moment and she look back at you, there's an awkward silence as you peel off another orange and she stops you midway.
"uhm..." you look at her hand around you wrist and hanni smiles at your before letting you go.
"just leave half of it to peel himself, he'll learn." hanni shrugs and smiles at you, you do as she says and place the half peeled orange on top of the kid's lunch box and watch as he peels the one hanni peeled for him until there is no orange peeling left.
hanni looks at you and sees the way your eyes look at the kid. "when you give a man a fish, he has a meal for the day. if you teach a man how to fish, he gets a meal everyday. you get it?" hanni smiles at you and you can't help but smile back as you nod.
"i do." you mutter, hanni giggles and tucks strands of hair behind her ear.
hanni looks at her phone after she finished eating her lunch, five days in and she hasn't asked you about your socials, it's like she's totally missed out a lot even when you look like the type to have a dead social media account.
hanni looks up to see you eating and begins to wonder if she can ask for your number in order to contact you.
"uhm, y/n?" she asks as she sees you finishing up. you look up to hanni and raise your eyebrows at her.
"can i ask for your number?" she gives you an awkward smile, in return, you stare at her and take her phone as you type in your phone number.
hanni looks at your contact number and smile to herself, she looks up at you as she sees you standing up. "i'll message you later, just for you know? for the portfolio..." hanni mutters as she stands up and follows you to the office.
the kids all look sad finding out this will be the last day of hanni and you working together, hanni comforts the kids by promising to come back every now and them for the kids. she crouches to their level and says her goodbye, while you stand behind hanni and waving your hands lightly.
hanni slumps her shoulder when the classroom door closes and you look at her, knowing she's sadden that she won't come here again tomorrow. you walk up to her and place a hand on her shoulder.
"they really liked you, hanni." you say, from your observation by how sad the kids were knowing that hanni won't be back as soon as possible, hanni smiles at you.
"aren't they cute? i wish i can stay longer." she says, you nod and bring your hand down. "i know you do. let's go home." you tell her as you give her a small smile and walk towards the office, hanni nods and follows.
the walk to the bus stop is silent, hanni wishes she can be here for a little longer, talk to you about more stuff more than school, but she can't even find the perfect topic.
you see hanni in a trance, staring far away and you can't help but laugh. "hey, you know it's not the end of the world now, right?" you stop in front of the bus stop, her parents aren't here yet.
hanni looks at you and laughs, embarrassed by how emotional she can get.
"sorry, it's cause... i still want to do a lot more stuff." hanni says, she sighs. you nod and look ahead. "yeah, i know. it's not over yet, maybe next time let's talk about it and visit." hanni looks at you as you speak, she blushes and laughs.
"i guess you're right."
maybe it really isn't the end of everything, rather it was just the beginning, it's too early for her to slump and be sad about things that are just the start of everything, there's so many things to look forward for.
hanni is thankful that whatever sort of destiny brought her to you, maybe she's more than thankful that she can look back again and smile at the trivial things.
as hanni gets inside their car, she can't help but look back at you, seeing the way you look at the car as she waves her hand goodbye to you. the drive home feels like a path to hanni's realization that maybe she must have been in love or fallen in love, that has to be it.
she doesn't know where or when but she knows, surely, she knows to whom these feelings are for.
HYUNWOO X FEM READER: GYM PHOTO (short)
Tumblr media
SHORT! Word Count: 848
TWS: Masturbation, mentions of: kissing, sex, and oral sex (fem receiving).
PRONOUNS USED: NONE
Plot: After your boyfriend Hyunwoo sends you a picture of himself at the gym you get so turned on that you begin touching yourself to the thought of him, not even stopping when he walks in on you.
All it took was one mirror picture of Hyunwoo at the gym, his shirt was slightly wet and sticking to his skin from sweat the same sweat that dripped down his temples and arms. You said you’d only look at the picture one more time, that you were only trying to get a good look at what he looks like at the gym, but you quickly found yourself analyzing every droplet of sweat, every vein that pressed against his skin, the wrinkles of his shirt, and a slight bulge that pressed against his unforgivingly thin sweatpants. You didn’t even notice your body getting hotter or your breathing getting heavier until you felt your hand sliding down your body, you hadn’t even realized that you began touching yourself until your hand was already struggling to get underneath the band of your pants. When you finally came to and stopped looking at the picture, you considered for a second how immoral it would be to touch yourself to such a wholesome picture; after all, he’s only at the gym. So as you unbuttoned your pants and shoved them down messily you bit your lip in shame, and with your phone in one hand you slipped your other into your underwear.
At first, you were only teasing yourself, testing the waters by slipping your middle finger in between your folds as you stared at his forearms, you could feel yourself becoming warmer by the second, and with every caress, you were getting wetter. It didn’t take long for you to begin massaging slow circles onto your clit as you trailed your eyes up to his neck, swallowing as your mouth became dry at the sight of little droplets of sweat trickling down his body, you had never felt so thirsty so quickly. As you touched yourself you started imagining how he’d look above you, sweat dripping down his entire body as he locked eyes with you and thrusted into you with enough force to knock the air out of your lungs. So lost in your lust for Hyunwoo you began imagining licking the sweat from his body without even an ounce of shame left, vividly imagining the way your tongue would cool down his warm body and how he’d praise you for being such a desperate slut for him.
You softly cursed under your breath as you felt a chill slowly creep up your spine, your pussy throbbed at every movement of your finger and as you trailed your eyes up to his face your eyebrows furrowed and you licked your lips as you thought of kissing him, you can almost feel them, so soft and warm, the feeling of them like pillows against your body and his tongue so hot in your mouth or trailing up your body. You wished that you could reach through the phone and feel him, pervertedly run your hands across his body as he kissed you and explored your body with his veiny hands, you wanted to reach right through the screen and pull him into your bed, you couldn’t even put into words what you’d do to him or what you’d let him do to you if you could. Thinking of how badly you wanted to be seated on his perfect face, how his lips would feel against your pussy, his soft breaths blowing against the wetness and his hands pressed into your plush thighs as they tremble beside his head.
You felt like you had never wanted anything as badly as you wanted him at that moment alone like you could live a thousand years over and never want anything more than you wanted Hyunwoo in that single second. You had been teasing yourself for so long that over thirty minutes had passed, by then you were looking at videos and pictures of him that fans would thirst over, touching yourself to those as you waited for him to send another picture or video of him at the gym. But in the midst of your waiting you heard the door open, knowing that no one else had the key to your house but Hyunwoo you found yourself panting in excitement, you didn’t know that he’d be coming over or that he’d be cutting his gym session short today but you couldn’t care less. You wanted him to walk right into that room, strip down and fuck you into that mattress like he hated you, so as he opened the door and stood in the doorway you didn’t stop touching yourself as you looked at him, a four-second video of him replaying in the background as he eyed you for a second with his face quickly turning red.
“I missed you.” Was all you were able to get out before he snatched the hoodie off his body and walked towards the bed, he wasn’t going to waste a second thought about why you were touching yourself to videos of him or why you didn’t just call him if you wanted him this bad then he’d happily give you exactly what you’ve been craving.
amidst the bustling cityscape of seoul, y/n, an inquisitive traveller from jeju, stumbles upon an art gallery.
✩ word count. ~3k words
their first encounter was serendipitous, as if the universe itself conspired to bring them together. y/n stood before wonyoung's painting, her eyes locked onto the colors that seemed to whisper untold secrets.
with a nervous yet determined heart, wonyoung approached, her voice barely above a whisper as she introduced herself as the artist. "hey, um— i'm wonyoung—the artist behind this painting. is there anything you'd... like to ask about this painting? or some feedback would be nice!"
y/n's smile was like sunlight breaking through storm clouds, illuminating her face with a warmth that sent shivers down wonyoung's spine. "wonyoung, what a beautiful name," y/n replied, her voice soft and melodic. "your art speaks to me on a level i can't quite explain. it's as if each brushstroke holds a piece of your soul."
wonyoung blushed, feeling a mixture of bashfulness and exhilaration. "thank you," she stammered. "your words mean so much to me! i-i put a lot of emotion into my art, and to know that it resonates with someone else... is the greatest compliment."
y/n extended her hand, a gesture of friendship that felt like an invitation into her world. "i'm y/n. i'm new to this city from jeju and i came to this gallery looking for something that could speak to my soul. i think i found it in your art."
as they shook hands, an electrifying connection surged through wonyoung's fingertips, leaving her breathless with anticipation. she couldn't shake the feeling that their meeting was no mere coincidence, but a tapestry woven by the hands of fate itself. the bustling gallery around them faded into a mere blur as they delved into a passionate discussion about art, life, and the inexplicable forces that intertwined their paths.
y/n's eyes, like pools of liquid amber, held wonyoung captive, drawing her deeper into their depths. each word that flowed from y/n's lips was a symphony, each laugh a melody that resonated within wonyoung's soul. she hung onto every syllable, cherishing the way y/n's voice danced in the air, a sweet serenade that intoxicated her senses.
days turned into weeks, and weeks into months, as their friendship blossomed amidst the city's backdrop. wonyoung found herself yearning for the stolen moments, the stolen glances that held a world of unspoken longing. she reveled in the small gestures—a brush of their hands as they walked side by side, a lingering touch that sent shivers down her spine.
but as the days stretched into a delicate tapestry of shared experiences, wonyoung couldn't help but feel the weight of unrequited love settle upon her shoulders. the tenderness in y/n's gaze, the warmth in her smile—it was a language that wonyoung longed to decipher, a love that she yearned to be reciprocated.
in the quiet corners of her heart, wonyoung weaved dreams of what could be. she imagined stolen kisses beneath the moonlit sky, whispered promises in the hushed sanctuary of their shared secrets. she envisioned a future where their worlds would collide, their lives intertwined like brushstrokes on a canvas.
the seasons danced on, their footsteps echoing in tandem with the rhythm of wonyoung's heart. spring blossomed, painting the city with hues of pastel dreams, while autumn whispered secrets of change in the crisp air. through it all, wonyoung remained by y/n's side, a silent witness to the ebbs and flows of their intertwined lives.
'twas a cool autumn evening, as the leaves rustled underfoot, y/n and wonyoung found themselves strolling along the riverbank. the water shimmered like liquid silver under the moon's tender gaze, mirroring the shimmer of unspoken emotions that swirled between them.
y/n leaned against the railing, her eyes fixed on the horizon. "isn't it beautiful, wonyoung?" she spoke, her voice carrying a hint of wonder. wonyoung continued in staring at the oblivious woman. "it is," wonyoung replied softly, her heart fluttering like a thousand butterflies in her chest.
as they strolled along the cobblestone path, wonyoung's heart beat a frenzied rhythm, her every word and touch infused with unspoken longing. "y/n... there's something i've been wanting to tell you," wonyoung ventured, her voice trembling with vulnerability.
y/n turned toward her, eyes brimming with curiosity. "what is it, wonyoung-ie?" she asked, her tone a gentle caress against wonyoung's fragile heart.
summoning her courage, wonyoung whispered, "these stolen moments we share... they mean more to me than i can express. you've become the compass that guides my every step, the light that illuminates the darkest corners of my soul."
a gentle breeze carried her words, intermingling with the symphony of rustling leaves. y/n's smile remained soft, the flicker of recognition barely registering in her eyes. "wonyoung, you're such an incredible friend. i treasure our bond more than you know," y/n replied, her words painting a painful melody that echoed within wonyoung's chest.
yet hope, a cruel mistress, refused to relinquish its grip on wonyoung's heart. she convinced herself that y/n's response held a glimmer of reciprocation, a silent invitation into the depths of an affair woven with stolen glances and moments of intimacy.
their encounters became clandestine meetings, hidden from prying eyes, their shared secrets whispered in the sanctity of moonlit gardens. wonyoung, her heart awash with both joy and torment, surrendered herself to the rapture of their stolen kisses, cherishing each stolen touch as if it were the last drop of an elixir she craved.
but in the shadows of their affair, y/n remained oblivious to the depth of wonyoung's love. her affectionate gestures, once interpreted as signs of reciprocation, became tainted with the innocence of friendship, blurring the boundaries between what was real and what wonyoung desperately wished to be.
wonyoung sat in her studio, surrounded by the remnants of her artistic endeavors. the room was filled with the scent of paint and the soft strains of music that mingled with her thoughts. she brushed a streak of vibrant red onto the canvas, her movements betraying the turmoil within her.
yunjin, her wise and caring friend, entered the room, her presence offering a fleeting solace. she glanced at wonyoung's creation, a mix of vibrant colors and raw emotion.
she raised an eyebrow, a knowing smile tugging at her lips. "hey there, picasso. pouring your heart out on the canvas again?"
Wonyoung offered a half-smile, appreciating Yunjin's attempt at making the atmosphere more lighter. "more like trying to make sense of the chaos inside," she replied, her voice tinged with vulnerability.
yunjin settled down on a nearby stool, her eyes filled with concern. "you've been a little distant lately. is everything okay?" wonyoung took a deep breath, but remained silent. "... it's about that y/n girl again, huh?"
Wonyoung took a deep breath, hesitating before she spoke her truth. "It's Y/N. I can't stop thinking about her, Yunjin. Every time she smiles at me or brushes against my hand, it's like fireworks exploding in my heart. I want to tell her how I feel, but I'm scared of what might happen."
yunjin leaned forward, her expression serious yet understanding. "look, wonyoung-ah, i get that love can be a rollercoaster of emotions. but before you go pouring your heart out, consider if you're ready for the consequences. what if things change between you two?"
wonyoung sighed, her gaze fixed on her trembling hands. "i know it's a risk, but i can't keep this bottled up any longer. it's eating me alive."
yunjin reached out, placing a reassuring hand on wonyoung's shoulder. "i'm not saying you shouldn't go for it, but just be prepared for any outcome. and remember, your friendship is precious. you don't want to lose that."
wonyoung nodded, appreciating yunjin's straightforward advice. "you're right. i just wish i could know what she feels without putting our friendship on the line."
yunjin reached out, placing a reassuring hand on wonyoung's shoulder. "i'm not saying you shouldn't go for it, but just be prepared for any outcome. and remember, your friendship is precious. you don't want to lose that."
wonyoung nodded, appreciating yunjin's straightforward advice. "you're right. i just wish i could know what she feels without putting our friendship on the line."
wonyoung nodded, her heart heavy with the weight of unspoken desires. she watched as yunjin left the studio, leaving her alone with her thoughts. the silence enveloped her, and she found herself drawn to the canvas that stood before her—a painting of y/n.
the colors on the canvas danced with an ethereal grace, capturing the essence of y/n's spirit. wonyoung had poured her heart into every stroke, every brush of paint. in the painting, y/n's eyes were pools of stardust, a captivating glimpse into the universe she hid within. her lips curved into a soft smile that held a thousand untold stories. wonyoung had painstakingly spun the stars on her fingernails, each one a testament to the boundless dreams she saw in y/n's eyes. yet, despite the beauty she had immortalized on the canvas, it couldn't bring her the happiness she yearned for.
days turned into weeks, and wonyoung found herself lost in the depths of her emotions, yearning for a love that existed only in the fragments of her dreams. every stolen glance, every brush of their hands became a lifeline, fueling the fire that consumed her heart. but y/n remained blissfully unaware of the tempest brewing within wonyoung's soul, her gestures of friendship shrouded in innocence.
one evening, as the sun painted the sky in hues of fiery orange, wonyoung's phone buzzed, interrupting the solitude of her studio. a message from y/n flickered on the screen, inviting her to meet at their favorite cafe. hope surged within wonyoung's chest, intermingled with an undercurrent of nervous anticipation. little did she know that fate had prepared a cruel twist in the tale.
arriving at the cafe, the air crackled with a mixture of warmth and tension. wonyoung's heart pounded against her ribcage, its erratic rhythm echoing the storm raging within her. she spotted y/n, a vision of serenity amidst the bustling crowd, her smile a flicker of sunlight breaking through the clouds.
"hey," y/n greeted softly, her eyes holding a myriad of emotions as they met wonyoung's gaze.
wonyoung returned the greeting, her voice trembling slightly. "hey. what did you want to talk about?"
y/n's gaze flickered, her fingers nervously tracing the rim of her coffee cup. "i've been doing a lot of thinking, wonyoung. and i think it's time we stop... this."
wonyoung's breath caught in her throat, her world spiraling into chaos. she fought to steady herself, clinging to the last vestiges of hope. "stop what?"
y/n's eyes filled with regret, the weight of her words pressing heavily upon them. "our affair. i care about you deeply, but i can't ignore the fact that there's someone else in my life now."
time seemed to stand still as wonyoung's heart shattered into a million fractured pieces. the colors of the cafe faded, leaving behind a monochrome reality. she forced a smile, her voice strained as she tried to mask the devastation that threatened to consume her.
"someone else?" wonyoung repeated, her voice barely above a whisper, as if afraid to acknowledge the truth.
y/n nodded, her gaze shifting to the floor. "his name is yunhan. we've been spending time together, and i think it's time to give our relationship a chance."
wonyoung's eyes burned, but she refused to let the tears fall. she clenched her fists, the pain radiating through her like a searing flame. it felt as if the world had conspired against her, weaving a tapestry of longing and heartbreak.
"i'm sorry," y/n murmured, her hand reaching out hesitantly, only to be met with wonyoung's withdrawal. "i never meant to hurt you."
wonyoung forced a smile, her voice tinged with a mixture of acceptance and resignation. "it's not your fault, y/n. we... can't force ourselves to love or not love someone.."
as the café's ambiance whispered tales of love and loss, wonyoung felt a silent plea escape her lips, carried away by the currents of time. she knew she had to release the hold on her unrequited love, to let it drift away like a leaf on the wind. it was a bittersweet acceptance, for in surrendering her heart, she set herself free from the chains of longing, even as the ache lingered deep within her soul.
the days that followed y/n's revelation were etched with a sorrow that clung to wonyoung's every breath. the weight of her unrequited love bore down upon her like an invisible burden, suffocating the vibrant hues of her existence. the unfinished painting of y/n, a testament to the fractured fragments of their temporary affair, seemed to mock her from its perch upon the easel.
one evening, in the depths of her despair, wonyoung stood before the painting, her hands trembling with a mixture of anguish and rage. the colors that once whispered secrets of love now appeared to taunt her, their vibrant dance a cruel reminder of the shattered dreams that lay in ruins. she contemplated tearing the canvas apart, obliterating the memories that held her captive. yet, in the end, she couldn't bring herself to do it. the painting held too much sentimental value, encapsulating a chapter of her life she couldn't entirely let go of.
with a sigh that echoed with resignation, wonyoung picked up her brush and faced the canvas. as her strokes danced across the surface, she poured her heartache into every brushstroke, the raw emotion bleeding onto the space. it was an act of defiance, a silent rebellion against the pain that threatened to consume her. she channeled her sorrow into art, using the colors as a language to express what words couldn't convey.
her fingers traced the contours of y/n's face, a mixture of sadness and longing clouding her eyes. "why couldn't you see how much i loved you?" she whispered, her voice carrying the weight of unspoken words and shattered dreams.
years passed, and wonyoung's perseverance bore fruit. the painting, born from the depths of her despair, gained recognition in the art world. its haunting beauty touched the souls of those who beheld it, a silent testament to the pain and longing embedded within its layers. wonyoung's name became synonymous with a tragic love story, her art an expression of the human experience.
one fateful day, amidst the hallowed halls of a museum, wonyoung found herself drawn to an ethereal presence. her gaze fell upon a child, their innocent eyes fixed upon the painting that had become her legacy. the child's fascination mirrored her own, a reflection of the profound connection art had the power to forge.
wonyoung's heart skipped a beat as her eyes fell upon the child. in that fleeting moment, she saw the ghost of y/n in the innocent gaze of the young girl. a bittersweet smile adorned wonyoung's lips as she nodded in understanding.
lost in a moment of bittersweet contemplation, wonyoung's reverie was interrupted by the child's mother, her voice tinged with worry. "haerin, where are you?" she called out, searching the vast space.
startled, wonyoung turned to face the source of the voice, and in that instant, time seemed to stand still. standing before her was y/n, a ghost from the past, now adorned with the grace of motherhood. their eyes locked, the unspoken words of their shared history hanging heavy in the air.
"mommy! mommy! look! this painting looks like you!" little haerin pointed at wonyoung's painting as y/n carried the small girl.
in that poignant reunion, the weight of their unfulfilled love reverberated through the silence. wonyoung's heart trembled, torn between the joy of seeing y/n once more and the painful reminder of what they could never have.
y/n approached, her voice tender and filled with regret. "wonyoung, it's been so long," she murmured, her eyes brimming with emotions left unsaid.
wonyoung's voice quivered, her heartache blending with a fragile glimmer of hope. "yes, it has. i never thought i'd see you again."
y/n's gaze shifted to the painting, her expression a wistful mix of nostalgia and sorrow. "your art has touched so many lives, wonyoung. it's a testament to the beauty that exists within your soul."
wonyoung's heart tightened at y/n's words, her voice heavy with unspoken pain. "do you know, y/n? this painting... it's you."
y/n's eyes widened, disbelief and longing flickering within them. "me? but... how?"
wonyoung's voice quivered, laden with the weight of unrequited love. "every stroke, every color... they are fragments of memories, of the love that bloomed within my heart. you were my muse, my inspiration. and yet, you never knew."
tears welled in y/n's eyes as she reached out to touch the canvas, as if trying to grasp the intangible emotions that permeated the artwork. "i never realized... i never knew."
wonyoung's heart shattered into a thousand pieces, her voice filled with aching vulnerability. "i wanted to tell you, to show you how much you meant to me. but fear held me back, and our paths diverged. now, all i have left are these brushstrokes, a portrait of a love that was never spoken."
y/n's voice quivered with a mixture of sadness and resignation. "wonyoung, i wish things could have been different. but life has its own way of guiding us. i've found happiness in a different path, one that doesn't intertwine with yours."
wonyoung's tears mingled with the colors of her masterpiece as she whispered, "i'm glad... i'm glad you've found happiness, even if it's not with me."
the weight of their unspoken emotions hung heavily in the air, the gallery a silent witness to the tragedy of their unfulfilled love. time seemed to stand still as they stood there, caught between the echoes of what could have been and the reality of their separate lives.
with a trembling breath, wonyoung turned away, her heart splintered but resolute. the pain of letting go mingled with the knowledge that their paths were meant to diverge, like two shooting stars blazing across the night sky before fading into obscurity.
Your phone rang.
You grabbed your phone to see who it is. When you saw Heeseung's name you immediately answered the call with a big smile.
"Hello Hee!"
You said. You usually call Heeseung "Hee" because it's what you gave as his nickname and he didn't complain about it. Usually he finds it cute when you call him that
"Hello Y/n Im free today so... do you wanna hang out??"
"Sure!"
Y/n responded with a really happy tone. You were so excited you're gonna meet him again! It's been so long since you guys have last hang out.
Its one of the things you loved about him. He always make sure he has time for you.
Not to mention that you loved him for a very, very long time.
You just have no courage to say it to him.
"Great! Meet me at ___ cafe on 2pm!" Then he hung up
You quickly got up and starts looking for clothes that is for your liking today.
Time skip!
You arrived at the cafe then you patiently waited for Heeseung.
Not a long time after you've arrived, you heard a familiar voice calling you.
"Y/n!"
It was Heeseung. He was so gorgeous in his outfit that you blinked twice to check if it is real or not
After that, you guys went in the café. Grabbed some coffees and had fun hanging out.
It was so fun! You guys went to the beautiful places in the city and enjoyed every single seconds of it!
When it was time to go home, you decided that it was finally gonna be today. The day where you will confess your love.
"Hmm?" He replied
"I wanna say something.." y/n said with a nervous tone
"You can tell me everything Y/n" Heeseung said.
"I-I like you Heeseung! I loved you for a long time!" Y/n said.
Just as Heeseung was about to say something, You interrupted immediately.
"Please think about it really well!" Then you ran away towards your direction to your house before he could even say something
That night. You can't sleep that well. Your overthinking self has taken over.
The next day
"Y/n someone wants to talk to you at the rooftop." One of your classmates said. Who could it be? You asked to yourself
When you got to the rooftop, you're shocked to see him. The one and only Heeseung.
But why did he want to talk to you? Is it because of yesterday?
You got closer to him.
"You.. wanted to talk to me?" Y/n asked
"Yes.. I've thinked about it. About what you said yesterday y/n.."He replied
"Then?" You asked once again
"I like you too y/n. I wanna be with you" He said
"Hee.."
Words cannot explain how happy you are right now so you just ran to him and gave him a hug.
"Stop being so dramatic Y/n" Heeseung giggled
"So does this mean we are a couple now?" Asked by Heeseung
"Yes!" You replied.
