i avoided choosing an ambition in fallen london until yesterday because i didn't know what to pick. My fav storylets so far mostly helped leveling shadowy/persuasive/watchful but i still decided to go for the nemesis ambition.

The intoxicated poet is now on a quest for revenge.

Okay though, it’s canon that Bradward Boimler can teach the Kridge borg queen empathy and kindness so i think the ideal way to save earth and starfleet in general in STP is to call up Boimler wherever he may be and mail him to the queen’s ship and tell him to get on with it. 

The holo program was supposed to be impossible to beat and he did it, and i have Faith this not natural purple-ette can pull this off again.

Week 8/53: February 17th - February 23rd 2020 | Reunited w Alex & Chaitali!

This week I had my first official shift at the new Presotea location and it was so weird !!!!! I don’t know where anything is???? BIG RIP I MISS O*KRIDGE ALRDY. I had to cover for my clinic coworker on Tuesday, which resulted in me working six days this week lol. I don’t know how I used to do this every week but okay.......... I was so tired. On Tuesday, I met up with Chaitali and Alex after work! Finally saw them again after almost two years T^T It was so nice to catch up~~~ visit again soon pls. Kind of unlucky that the one week they visit is the one week I had to work everyday lmao the universe doesn’t want me to have friends I guess. Anyway, we decided to go eat bbq at Dolpan and we got the beef & pork sampler (large size) with some lettuce and rice on the side hehehe. It was really yum!!!! Meat quality A+.

For Sundate, Linda and I went to Nare Korean Kitchen in Burnaby for their ~fancy~ Korean food LMAO. We got our food and we were both like ???? this is not what I thought it would look like??? LMFAO. It was plated beautifully lmao like Gordon Ramsay is shaking. I had their spicy black bean noodle and it was decently yum!! LOL. Linda’s kimchi fried rice was A+ though! Heheh. We went out late this day so we didn’t do much after dinner except explore a random community centre LMFAOOOO sdjsajkdg 😂It got dark when we met up so no outfit pics this week RIPPPP I AM BEHIND MY GOAL AGAIN !!!!!! FUCK WINTER GIMME SPRING N SUMMER NOW!!!! It’s almost Daylight Savings which means our suffering ends soon. :^)

Is it that time already? Time to tell the tale. The tale I want to tell is ghost story. The chowder society love to tell ghost stories to scare the wits out of one and another. They soon find themselves in their own ghost story. The sins of the past and old phantoms emerge....... What I loved about this movie was the gothic horror aspect. It feels like it should a great ghost story. The practical effects are brilliant. I love how they look, they look gruesome, slimy and horrifying. Thats why they are great. The actors are brilliant. Each have their own twist and turns. With stand out performances expecially John Houseman and Alice Kridge. Alice in particular as she is both seductive and sinister. Not all of the plot points hit fully and it was a slower start but regardless this is a great ghost story to watch I am giving this a 7.5/10 Viewer beware ........ Mid-Senior Level Initiatives

After working closely with the Mid-Senior Level (MSL) Steering Committee as well as the MSL Colleague Network planning team, I am very excited to announce that we are offering our first programs!  On Friday March 24th we are hosting the MSL Colleague Network lunch and then later that afternoon we are hosting a career advancement session.  Both programs will occur at Babson College and we would like to thank Caitlin Capozzi for all of her help in being our on-site planner.

MSL Colleague Network

Thirty-three MSL professionals from the region signed up to participate in the MSL Colleague Network, and they will meet their matches at a kickoff lunch meeting from noon to 2:00pm on Friday, March 24th. This lunch is free for participants thanks to generous support from the Region I Advisory Board. For those MSL professionals who didn’t respond to our survey in time to participate, we’re hoping to open the program back up in the fall to new members.  We are launching this Network as a pilot program and are excited that so many professionals are interested.

Career Advancement Session for the MSL Professional

This program will take place from 2:30pm to 4:30pm at Babson College on Friday, March 24th; there is no charge to participants but registration is required by clicking here.  An optional social will occur afterwards in the pub on campus.  (Please note that the registration link also includes information about the lunchtime program for the MSL Colleague Network but this program is limited to those MSL professionals who completed the Colleague Network survey by the end of January.)

We’ll be exploring what career advancement means for the MSL professional. As a mid-senior level professional, we’ll explore topics such as:

What should your resume look like?

How do you handle a dual-career search?

Should you use a search firm?

How do you approach an internal position posting?

How can you maximize an Interim position?

Do you need a terminal degree?

Join us for a two-hour program that will feature Ellen Heffernan from the Spelman & Johnson search firm as well as colleagues from the region who have relevant stories to share: Rae-Anne Butera from Olin College of Engineering, Rich DeCapua from Boston College, Beth Devonshire from U Mass Boston, and Ali Hicks from New England Institute of Technology.

What is a Mid-Senior Level Professional?

If you are not sure if you are an MSL professional, we generally define it as someone who has been in the field for a minimum of 10 years post-graduate school, though many members of our cohort have been in the field for 20+ years.  MSL professionals are not the SSAO or the “number two” but are usually somewhere in between the senior level and the newer mid-level professionals.
