I was watching video on the history of the lesbian pride flag by @strange-aeons. This image came to mind as a sign from god that I must make. It was originally supposed to be trans men and women are real men and women but my mind went else where. This is dedicated to all lesbians, lipstick lesbians, butch lesbians, nonbinary lesbians, trans women, trans women who are also lesbians, trans men and everyone who terfs discriminates against.

Also the characters name is MENACE. All caps. It came to me when I was walking my dogs. They were speaking to me.

I am also tagging some terf tags so this cause some stir. 💕💕💕💕 you aren’t a real feminist if you don’t believe in equal rights for ALL women.

Hey can you burn the tru-lesbian, tru-gay and tru-bisexual flags? They're basically truscum, mpsecphobic and radical exclusionist people with communities that are growing on reddit and i hate them all. Thank you :D

I looked all of those up and can't find flags under those names. Do you mean the laprys lesbian flags and the like?

I actually really hate the demi flag too, and I am, without question, the demi-est demi to ever demi (I'm demiromantic and EXTREMELY demisexual). I just think it's ugly. I am sure that whoever made it, didn't think for a minute that black triangles had any implication at all, but I do also think that it's a valid point (like if it were a pink triangle, no one would protest it had male gay meanings). Maybe a white triangle? (that might mean something too though). I'd like to be a pastel ace flag.

That’s totally fine if you don’t like the flag! In fact, @cockyroaches has made a set of flags which, I believe, are pretty widely accepted as alternatives for demi orientations. As for the triangle, the issue comes from the fact that it is pointing to the right. The inverted triangle (or upside down) is the one that people associate with other meanings, e.g. the lesbian laprys. If the demi flags had a black triangle that was inverted, yeah, that would be an issue. However, it’s not inverted so there’s really not an issue. Please refer to this post for further discussion on why the demi flags really aren’t problematic.

Lesser Known Pride Flags

Since its finally becoming better well known that the Lesbian flag was made by a racist terf, and the one with the axe/laprys is antisemetic I figured I should spread flags that are alternatives/not super well known.

The original Pride flag. I prefer this one as inclusivity was already built in as blue reresents Harmony.

Inclusivity flag (color organized). A slightly more eyepleasing version of our second most popular flag.

This flag was used in São Paulo, Brasil in 2018. The white stripe represents Peace and the full gender spectrum.

This is the new Lesbian flag created online by . The colors represent from top to bottom, loyalty/trust, freedom to love women, trans/nb lesbians, serenity, and pride/love for oneself.

This is the Intersex flag. Not to be conflated with trans identities, it is important to include them and their struggles.

The Sapphic flag. Different than the lesbian flag, the Sapphic flag is also wonderful colorful representation, each color was chosen based on plants and what they stand for.

GOTH TRANS FLAG! TRANS FLAG TOO PASTEL? NOT ANYMORE!

The Gay Pride Tartan. Tartan tends to represent families and clans or areas. This tartan is meant for the LGBT+ family, and is made with parts of the NYC tartan to represent Stonewall, where pride started.

not to be Like That during pride but when it comes to official lesbian flag redesigns im definitely not a fan. Like I get the complaint that the pink lesbian flag used to be the lipstick lesbian flag HOWEVER things often change meaning over time! the alternatives are the laprys flag, with explicit ties to terfs and genetalia, or decently designed flags (imo the all look bad but whatever) that originated this year on tumblr, and will take a very long time to get recognized becus before we can do THAT we actually have to stop redesigning them and pick one?? which will never happen so like i rly don’t know why we’re purposefully delaying the recognition of a widespread lesbian flag
