Goose Game Board. Made in India, Gujarat, late 16th century. Medium is ebony, ebonized wood, ivory, horn and gold wire.
“This Game of the Goose or Goose game board seems to be the oldest survival of a game firstly mentioned in Italy in 1480 … It is thought to be the prototype for many of the commercial European racing board games of recent centuries. The inlay technique of the present board is associated with 16th century Gujarat in North India following a printed Italian design.”

points’ing a pauldron & rondel directly onto a knit sweater, like a demented mad man. Like a twisted fucking cycle path. Truly sickening, is nothing sacred to him??

saw the post with Vasco and Machete vibe checking a bubble and was curious if they'd actually be similar sizes as dogs?
I'd been picturing Machete as a small trembling terrier and Vasco as a long leggy bloodhound
They're pretty equally matched I think, I'd say roughly 70 cm (or 28 inches) at the withers. Their breeds are fictional, but physically their closest irl counterparts would be Ibizan hound and Porcelaine. Both fairly large hunting dogs.

I took her to the Vet for a check up/fecal test and yeah she did have worms :) and then when I got home my neighbor called and said her owners where posting on nextdoor looking for her, so thankfully she wasn't one of the byb dumped dogs but i still think it's weird to have left a malamute puppy outside in the Texas heat with fleas and worms while you're at work all day.. we found her early in the morning and they weren't home and posting about her missing till nearly 12am.
anyway we gave her back to her owners after the vet... hope not to see her running around in the streets again because this is the 2nd or 3rd time shes been seen running around the neighborhood. unreal.

Jufly prompt #27 - Nest
Both shortwing and broadwing mares prepare raised nests on which they incubate their eggs. They often do so deep in dense forests for both safety and for food within easy reach. A shortwing will lay but one egg. Broadwings lay clutches of 5 or so.
