It's 4am and I just woke up from a scary looping dream about how a cyborg race takes us over and decides we all need to die, but instead of just watching silly comfort videos to put me to sleep I instead chose to read about the insanity that is barnacles which of course led me to parasitic barnacles and of course that led me to learning about the crab hacker barnacle and how it's just a collection of tendrils inside of a crab body with a reproduction organ on the outside and the males are just a collection of sperm creation cells in the sac and what freaks me out is that this thing is basically a crustacean that's turned itself into a horrifying fungus and I feel like this is forbidden knowledge and that my life is forever changed for having learned or knowing it.

Anyway my attempts at going back to sleep are going great and I am not at all learning of what probably inspires Yames to make his video games and haha also barnacle geese are called that because idiots in the old UK thought they were born from the goose barnacle (no relation).

What even are barnacles????? We just don't know.

So anyway, I’ve been drawing a lot of Hisuian Typhlosion lately.....

Can I just say how refreshing it is to see someone as in the public spotlight and as pop culturally popular as Markiplier is, going some extra lengths for gender representation? And I don’t mean the constant ability of him and his team to always use gender-neutral terms and wording when handling the viewer character (which most likely was an organic necessity, so someone could insert themselves and feel included, regardless of race or gender), but also just...

The fact that Warfstache has almost always said ‘and of course all other configuration of being’ along with ladies and gentlemen.

The fact that the the characters refer to the viewer/DA/Captain as handsome and/or beautiful

That Wug gets misgendered and when corrected, Mark genuinely apologizes.

That Lady is played by an opening queer non-binary actor (and that they are the ones who stick up for Wug’s pronouns)

That the head engineer is referred to as he/they

That Ethan looks positively gorgeous as an enby alien in the bg.

That Mark went so far as to include the gender correction of MatPat from Heist in the bloopers.

Heck just the fact that Mark himself sees the canonically gender-neutral viewer and thinks about and then finally does take them out on a date.

There’s just a lot of little details to that that are just... they make me smile. you don’t see a lot of it in mainstream media, but you see it here, and Mark reaches enough people that its a positive and subtle nod to just constantly say ‘hey i see you guys too, youre a part of this story too.’ Actions speak louder than words, and when it comes to Mark’s creative projects, it’s 100% heard.

Wait, Damien has the lowest amount of views in a Mark project? THIS IS TRAGIC.

EVERYONE GO WATCH DAMIEN IT RULES in both storytelling, some cool creepy art, and honestly the Actor Damien convo is so iconic

Also we’re thinking of posting our thoughts about how Space so far and YN in it parallel Damien’s journey in DAMIEN as well

Because I think Mark has such a soft spot in his heart for Damien (as do we all) so to know that so many less people have watched Damien, a real labor of love and one of my favorite things Mark's collabed with a studio with, it's just very sad. People should really watch it!! It's what my entire comic is really based on (that and some other things Mark has said too haha). BUT YEAH. GO WATCH DAMIEN. DONT FORGET ABOUT IT PLEASE
