Together — Simon "Ghost" Riley x Reader
Tumblr media
"In another life, I'd have the privilege of meeting you under different circumstances." His words were comforting as the cold started taking over your bodies, his gloved hand holding yours.
"In every single life, I'll be looking for you, Simon." His name was never sweeter than when it came out of your mouth. Simon was cursed, Simon lived a never-endind nightmare both as a civilian and as a soldier, but right now? Simon was the luckiest man alive, holding his loved one's hand as life began to slip away from them.
"I'll always look for you, love." His voice was weak, yet oddly calm for someone in his situation. They were separated from their group and badly wounded, yet as he began to accept this was their end, realization hit him. For once in his life, he felt deserving of something. All those thoughts about not even deserving to survive after his family was murdered seemed to be pushed to the back of his head. You didn't deserve this. Simon didn't deserve this, and there's no way in hell Ghost is going to give up. He's a fighter, for fuck's sake.
"Stray?" His gaze drifts down to her, taking in the way she's looking at him, the way she's looking at him like he's worth something, like he deserves the world, yet Simon doesn't want whatever the world has to offer.
"Hm?" Came your soft hum, throat sore from screaming into the comms after the mission failed and you were separated from Price and Gaz. It hurt, yet you didn't know what exactly it was. It was a stinging feeling all over that gave you shaky hands. It made you want to throw up, to claw on your skin until you could find what exactly was wrong, and to rip it out of your body once and for all. To be able to feel your body again, to be able to open your eyes without flinching at the harsh light, to be able to hear your own thoughts.
"I just want you to hold me." Ghost replied softly, groaning as he used all the strength he had left to help you up by the waist, making sure you could get on your feet before he leaned on the wall for support, soft groans and pained growls leaving his lips as he limped alongside you. "Don't let go."
Despite all the pain he's suffered, all his struggles and trauma, this moment feels different— it's like a release, a way to soothe the chaos his broken mind faces daily. He'd rather die fighting alongside you than fight alone. Within you, you're holding him together. You hold his heart, his pain and struggles, his mind, his soul.
"What has two legs and bleeds?" He asked out of nowhere, deep voice strained by his pain as he walked alongside you, holding you close. You were about to protest before you remember why he's doing that— he's trying to keep you awake, and he's trying to ease the tension and fear by joking around. Though this is commonly done by SAS soldiers, it's comical to see The Ghost doing it too, so you decide to entertain him.
"What?" You ask softly, a small grin on your face as you prepare for the shitty joke.
"Half a dog." He answers swiftly. Though you can't see his face due to the balaclava, you can see the slight shift on the mouth part of his mask, his eyes twinkling as they narrow slightly. He's clearly fighting off a grin, yet the dumb joke makes you laugh. You don't know if it's the blood loss making you delirious, or if the joke is actually that funny. Probably the blood loss.
"That was awful." You say, yet you're still giggling about the stupid joke. You both manage to make it out of the building, looking around at all the destruction caused by the enemy. No hostiles appeared to be near, luckily.
"Ghost, Stray, do you copy?" The comms break you both out of your daze as you stare at each other, immediately fumbling for the radio.
"Yes, sir." Ghost replies to Price, his deep voice now more professional as he requested medevac. For once in his life, Ghost felt human. Almost dying, yet more alive than ever. Maybe all his torture was finally worth it in the end, maybe for once in his life, he'd be able to have something nice. Something to call his. His hand reaches down to gently hold yours, squeezing it softly. I love you.

Yandere Smiling Critters x male child reader[pt. 2]
Requests from Tumblr and Wattpad—!, but not really
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Minus the fact I didn't include you being turned)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
—☆You are a human in this
Sadly, you couldn’t stay here forever.
You are home now. Adopted. You did spend your time at Playcare for a couple of years though, everybody knew you, everybody in Playcare that is. The critters and kids knew you, the staff knew you, Miss Delight knew you.
So you had a mark on the place when it was time for you to leave. To get your own house. You were happy to get a home, but sad you had to leave your friends behind.
Maybe you could revisit this place again. Come back. But you couldn’t.
Something happened.
8/8/1995
You don’t know what happened that day, but you guess it was something pretty bad. It caused the whole company to shut down. You no longer saw any commercials of the toys.
Rumors were spread around, maybe somebody died, maybe a toy hurt somebody, maybe.. Maybe an experiment happened.
Anyways. There was a letter. A letter in the mail, something that related to your old home. Find the flower?
.
.
.
Sure. Why not, you were seventeen, you can handle yourself.
Which is something you shouldn’t have ever thought, after what you’ve been through.
It’s been scary. You haven’t died yet, but death has wanted to shake your hand a few times.
You almost bumped your head on a metal pipe while passing through a dark hallway, nearly broke your leg because you wanted to jump off a platform, wanting things to go by faster.
You’ve been chased through vents, and ended up at a dead end. You didn’t know what to do. You almost got shredded. But, were spared.
“.. Huggy?” He stared at you, maybe he recognizes you, even after all these years.
He didn’t kill you. He let you down on the second level of the metal stairways with his arm, and went back to where he originally was.
Then you were solving puzzles, with a particular doll following after you.
But the doll got snatched up, by a spider. Mommy Long Legs. She did remember you, you were the one who wasn’t so good at the games..(for the sake of your life in this story)
But she thought you left her to die, so she still forced you to play the three games. The first game has Bunzo! He was hesitant to kill you, you were the kindest kid to him when you lived here.
And for the first time, you actually beat the game! He was so proud of you! He wasn’t proud of his unfortunate fate in the future, but at least he didn’t need to kill you.
Then the small Huggies. They also remembered you, so they were sparing you. You also beat that game! They were happy, letting out tiny purrs at your success.
Then Pj— Wait. Since when were you so good at these games? The last I checked, you failed every single one of them! Fine. I’ll just sabotage the game for you, to make sure you never leave.
You could see Pj coming out of his pug-a-pillar hole, and you were sweating a little. Hopefully he remembered you too.
He did, once he saw you he stopped in his crawling tracks, taking a pause. He missed your younger adorable face when he gave you a small bump on your back, signifying that the ‘game’ was over.
But he unpaused at the start of the music playing.
You escaped. Out of there. That’s fine. I could just chase you myself
Three chases. You got chased THREE times. How desperate was she to kill you?!
You were putting the blue hand on the scanner, when you heard Mommy’s quick steps towards you.
You looked behind you— Eyes widening from her abrupt appearance. For the fourth time.
The door opened! And.. Mommy got killed, by you, by your hands.
A hand crept out from the thin crevice of a metal door. It took Mommy’s left over body, to wherever. You didn’t know what it was. Where it took her. But thanked god(or not, depends on your thoughts) at the fact that you weren’t Mommy at this moment.
Now you are somewhere. The train crashed, and you could feel the back of your shirt being picked up. You were sliding down a pipe, into somewhere.
You don’t know where it was, but you needed to get out, fast.
Doing some parkour, you looked around, and saw a long tail(plus paws) crawling up inside a vent.
“... Catnap?”
You went through some doors, and ended up seeing where the crashed train was. Going somewhere, you could see the recognizable entrance you went to at age 5. The way to Playcare.
You could hear the sounds of steps. Hurrying up you went inside the much smaller train compared to the one you were originally in.
“My name is Elliot Ludwig.”
Hm. Those words you could remember.
“When you look around at the world today,” You repeated after him.
“what one thing do you think it needs more of?”
“Playcare!”
Even at seventeen years, you were still mesmerized by what was shown.
You looked down, and could see 3— no. Five creatures walking or crawling around, resembling the Smiling Critters.
“Oh.”
Some of the critters could hear Elliot’s voice continue about Playcare, eyeing the moving train.
They saw your shadowed figure. Not knowing who you were. But a light is shown on your face.
Bubba, Dogday, Kickin, Hoppy, and Bobby saw your face. You’re back?
No. They must be seeing things. You were gone. Away from them.
But Dogday could recognize those eyes. Your skin, your curiosity, your hair(if your hair changed colors, or texture after growing up, then.. Yea, he still remembered you).
“Angel?” (Even if you didn’t really save him, he’s going to call you Angel. Because I needed a nickname for you. Y’know, because I can’t list every single name of the people who’re reading this?)
The other critters heard his whisper. … Maybe it was you.
The train stopped. But you were kind of scared, were they like Huggy or Mommy? Were they going to chase you down?
“Ah shit.”
‘Language.’ Dogday thought, dogs have good hearing y’know!
You were trying to find a way for two possible outcomes of being down here.
A) Try to make the train go back if the critters try to kill you
Or
B) Somehow reminisce in meeting your old friends
B sounded a lot more better than A.
And.. B did happen!
The 5 critters went over to the train, while you were standing there. Waiting for whatever will happen to you.
Dogday crawled over to you, it was you! Your scent!
He gave you the biggest hug while his tail wagged(really fast, it’s kind of crazy).
He was still fluffy even after these 10 years.
“Angel I missed you so much—!”
You were trying to hug him back, but a little too scared because of the critters staring into your soul.
Dogday noticed their silence and spoke up—
“Guys! This is Angel!! You don’t recognize him??”
Silence.
“THE ONE WHO WAS HIDING BEHIND PICKY..??”
“OHH”
“YOU’RE BACK?!?”
“I was thinking that it was him but I wasn’t sure…”
“ANGEL!?!?!?”
You were escorted out of the train, and were greeted by a bunch of animals pawing at you.
You couldn’t get a word in!
Picky, Crafty and Catnap came over, hearing all of the excited animal noises.
Now you were crowded by a bunch of animals. You were so tiny compared to them, so they had to be gentle.
So much noises were going on that even the smaller critters came over to see the commotion.
You were back home!
Now you can’t leave.

“He’s just a friend!” Yn finally snaps, voice getting louder and thicker in frustration.
Mick, who’s at the other side of the room, arms crossed, and face twisted in a frown, scoffs at her words just like he’s been doing the past few minutes they have been fighting.
“Yeah, but at this point, so am I to everyone who knows us,” his remark makes her heart clench.
She loved him, she was sure of that even though they had been together for less than a couple of months. They had known each other for over a year. They were friends before becoming lovers. So his harsh words and his lack of demonstrating hurt hit her differently.
Fighting with someone who won’t match your screams can be slightly worse than fighting with someone who will. Mick had his voice even the whole time, lips pursed, eyes hard. His cheeks flushed from the alcohol, and his stance wide, but other than that, he did not cave, did not scream, or point a finger at her.
“And what do you want me to do Mick? You wanted me to make out with you in front of everyone so they could record and we could wake up being the news headlines tomorrow morning? You more than anyone know how the media can be pushy, how they can break beautiful things.”
“Guess sometimes you don’t need them to break it, those beautiful things will break themselves,” he retorted, walking past her and to the door.
“Where are you going?” Yn asked, tears gathering in her eyes.
“I don’t know, it doesn’t matter to you.”
And just like that, he gave his back to her.
Her sweet, loving, patient boyfriend turned around and stormed off the room as if he was done. As if their relationship was done for.
She loved being Toto’s daughter. Loved being a Wolff, and all the things that came with it, except how her dad’s fame would play out in her life. She wouldn’t mind the constant travel, something she really liked as a kid. She wouldn’t mind the constant questions about her dad and F1, and driver X and Y. She wouldn’t mind the cameras whenever she went to the paddock. Now, she hated how her name affected her relationship. Fair enough, she doesn’t know how she would meet Mick if she weren’t a Wolff. You can never guess destiny, maybe in another life she would have worked in F1 and they would’ve met. But the fact was, she hated how she had to keep their relationship a secret at least for a bit before telling her dad. He had a rule about not dating drivers, but who was she to resist ocean-blue eyes and a dazzling smile?
When Yn started dating Mick they agreed to keep it under wraps until a month or so.
But now it’s been six months, and though Mick had suggested they talk to Toto and Susie, Yn was a bit taken aback. She was postponing the confrontation.
She hated how he stormed off. Hated the feeling of being left behind. It felt like he didn’t want to put effort into fighting with her, as if he was done with the relationship.
Ordering from the app, Yn took a cab to her Dad’s house, and though she tried to keep herself together, the second he opened the door wearing his flannel pajamas, she couldn’t help but sob and hug him.
Toto frowned in confusion but held his daughter, closing the door behind them.
Susie, sitting on the couch, got up, “Oh, baby, what happened?” Her soft tone made Yn cry harder. She clutched her dad and Toto shared a look of worry with his wife.
“Am I gonna be alright?” she whispered against the soft material of Toto’s pajamas.
“You will, baby, you will.” He compromised even though he had no idea of what was happening. Yn was still his baby in his head, he would move the world if it meant making her happy. So he kissed the side of her head, and asked: “Now, you wanna tell me what happened or want me to tuck you in bed?” Yn was similar to Torger in a lot of things, one of them being how she needed to sit on her feelings before talking about them. He knew it, but he always gave her the space to choose, either talk about it as soon as it happened if by any means she wanted a change, or simply wait for her to come around.
“Bed,” she mumbled.
She got a kiss on her forehead from Susie and shared a small teary smile with the oldest Wolff, before following her dad to her childhood bedroom. The decorations still intact, everything the way she left it.
She took off her shoes and coat, and lay in bed, letting Toto drap the comforter over her body and adjust the heather.
“Dad,” she calls with the smallest voice, yet he catches it. It’s like when you become a parent you get some superpowers, you get to hear better so whenever your kid cries from a different room, baby monitor or not, you’re able to pick it. Another thing is that you become good at telling whenever they’re lying or hiding something, that’s why when Yn apologizes and tells him it’s about her secret boyfriend, he’s not mad. A bit hurt that she waited to tell him, but not mad.
“Did he do something?”
Yn shakes her head, “It’s just regular couple stuff, I guess.”
“You came here crying, that shouldn’t be regular couple stuff, Hase.”
This time she nods her head, “It’s our first major fight…I didn’t know what to do, or where to go.”
“I’m glad you came home,” he stated simply, kissing her forehead. “Now get some rest, we’ll be here for breakfast in the morning, ja?”
She agrees, turning on her side and closing her eyes just as Toto turns off the lights and closes the door. Her childhood bedroom used to be the safest and comfiest place and whenever she got there it wouldn’t take more than ten minutes for her to fall asleep, yet it still took her a couple of hours, crying hours, before she finally drifted to sleep.
In the morning, Yn woke up to the fresh smell of breakfast and a weird car noise so close that she opened her eyes to discover Jack setting up a whole Grand Prix on her bedroom floor while waiting for her to wake up. The image of her youngest brother pushing cars around made her smile.
“So, is this der Großer Preis von Österreich?” she asked, and Jack gasped, faking a scare with her waking state, but was quick to jump into her bed, hugging his sister.
“It’s my version of the Austrian Grand Prix, in this one we win!”
“What makes you think that we won’t win in real life?” she arches her brow, knowing all too well how smart her baby brother is.
“We don’t have the best car in the grid, but we do have the best drivers, so…maybe we can root really hard and get it?”
“That’s how I like to see it!” They share a high five.
“We also have the best team principal, you know?”
“Yeah!!”
She chuckles.
“Now, let’s get some food in, shall we?”
Jack eagerly nods, running to the door, but stopping in his tracks just when he reaches the door handle, “Maybe you should…” he points to his face. “You look kinda funny…like a panda.”
“Oh-!” Yn smacks her face after looking at her white pillow case now dotted with dried mascara. “Thank you, Jackie. I’m on it.”
“I’ll wait for you,” he states, turning to his toys and sitting on her carpet again.
She smiles. Though there was a big age gap between them, they had always been close, and Yn missed her little brother every second they spent apart.
She washed her face, changed into more comfy clothes, and gave Jack a piggyback ride to the kitchen where Susie and Toto were just finishing setting up the table.
“Morning!!” Jack greeted loudly making Yn wince with how close he was to her ear. Toto chuckled, taking him in his arms and kissing his smooth cheeks.
“How’d you sleep, honey?” Susie asked Yn after she got a kiss from her dad and he left carrying Jack and a big jar of OJ.
“Ok, I guess…Do you happen to know how to take mascara stains from a pillowcase?” Yn asked, eyes cast down, voice laced with a bit of embarrassment that was quickly pushed aside by the older who hugged her close.
Deep down what she really wanted to ask was: can someone die from a broken heart? What does one do when they have no idea what’s going on? Can you go blind from crying so hard? Was she exaggerating? Did Mick have a shitty night as well? Were they going to be alright?
“I’ll get it sorted for you, how do we feel about some Apfelradln like the old times? They used to cure your pouty lips when you were a kid.”
“They would sure sweeten a bit of my mood,” Yn confesses with a small grin, and they walk with linked arms to the breakfast table.
It’s loud and boisterous, full of smiles and giggles. It feels good to be home, even though there’s a nagging deep down in her heart, a longing. Breakfasts with Mick used to be a mix of things, sometimes full of laughs, other times just the crunching noises and smacks of kisses against any available piece of skin from the other.
Susie pulled her from her thoughts, dropping some of her favorite Austrian breakfast on her plate, and Yn smiled, digging into the sweet food.
When Toto and Susie left to get some things sorted for the Race that Weekend Yn stayed with Jack to get distracted. She knew she would most likely run into Mick had she decided to join her parents, and the hurt was still too raw to put a finger on it now. Maybe she would call him later, and see if he would answer. For now, she got busy with Disney movies playing in the background while she and her little brother put some Lego figures together which proved to be a terrific distraction.
“Did you get into the sim earlier than scheduled?” Toto asked when Mick entered the garage, big bags under his eyes and no sign of his trademark sweet smile.
The Schumacher shook his head, “Nah, just couldn’t get much sleep last night.”
“Did something happen?”
“Love happened,” he mumbles, walking to one of the rooms to drop his things there, not before grumbling on the way about how hard relationships were.
Susie who was beside Toto shared a knowing look. The arched brows and darting eyes silently get to the same conclusion.
“Do you really think…?” Toto finally voices and his wife shrugs, biting her lips.
“Maybe. They’re good friends…maybe they’ve been more and we failed to see it.”
Toto sighs, moving the headphones that are on the desk.
“Please, don’t smash it,” she jokes, and he pinches the bridge of his nose.
“She’s our baby.”
“She’s twenty-three, Liebe.”
“Ja, but still…”
“If you asked me to choose someone in the Paddock, it would be Mick. You’ve been working with him for a while now, we both know he’s a good guy.”
“That’s the problem!” He points and Susie arches her brows in confusion, “I’m supposed to hate my baby’s boyfriend, or give him a hard time, but I actually like that blond Ken doll, ugh.”
Susie burst into laughter, and Toto can’t help but let the smallest grin grace his features.
“She’s everything,”
“He’s not just Ken, and you know it, Torger.”
“Well, to me he’s just Ken. She’s my everything, and he’s just Ken.”
They share a look, before Mick walks back and sits on one of the computers across from them, fingers quickly typing on the keyboards.
“You sure you’re ok, kid?” Toto asks and Mick nods.
“What do you think of dinner at ours tonight, Mick?”
The German seems surprised with the invitation but is quick to recover. He scratches his neck and then nods, “I would like that, thank you.”
Susie kisses Toto’s cheek and gives Mick’s shoulder a small squeeze before leaving to do her thing.
Later that day, when the doorbell rang and Toto called for Yn and Jack, motioning for his daughter to open the door, she wasn’t expecting to face her boyfriend with two simple yet pretty bouquets in hand and a wine bottle in the other.
“I-...I thought you may be with your best friend,” his voice is like a whisper, almost as if he was talking to himself, but Yn caught it. She was used to his traits.
“Nope, I came straight to my parents.”
And just when he opened his mouth to say something, Jack came barreling into his legs, “Mick!!!”
“Heya, Jackie! How’s it going, buddy?”
“I’m good! I missed you. It’s been forever since we played games!”
“I know, I’ve been a bit busy, sorry,” the blonde made a face and messed Jackie’s hair, before looking up again only to find Susie at the door as well.
“You’re just in time, Mick.”
“Did you invite him?” Yn asked, confused.
“We sure did.”
“These are for you, and for you,” he gives the flowers to Susie and then to Yn who takes a step back when her body involuntarily leans towards him for a hug.
“Thank you, Schumi,” Susie kissed his cheek and opened the door wider for the German to get in.
He greeted Toto in the kitchen and helped finish setting the table. On the way home Toto and Susie discussed if the invitation was truly a good idea, if Yn would be mad, or if there would be any tension in the room, but as it happens, things were good. Mick was used to the Wolffs, he felt comfortable around them, and there wasn’t space for awkward silence, not with Jack around, or when Austrian dishes were involved because Toto would proudly explain the detail and story behind everything as if the name wouldn’t do it justice.
“I’m sorry I stormed off,” Mick hesitated for a second. They were doing the dishes while Susie and Toto got Jack ready to bed, and finished some of the chores around the house. And though Mick had a feeling about the whole arrangement, Yn was sure that her parents had set it up. She knew them all too well. “I know how much you hate when people walk off while you’re talking, and I know how you hate to sleep angry. I’m sorry if it seemed as if I was pressuring you into telling your parents about us, I think I’m just…I love you and I wanted to share this with everyone, but I forgot to consider your saying in this.”
She shook her head, trying to keep her tears at bay. It was the first time he said he loved her. Upon seeing the tears finally streaming down her cheeks, Mick dried his hands on the towel and stopped them just before they reached her lips. She smiled this time, and more tears gathered on his fingers. Mick dipped his head and kissed them away.
“I love you too. I’m sorry I didn’t consider your side as well,” she admitted, threading her fingers on the nape of his neck and enjoying the feeling of his soft strands against her skin.
He smiled, but it didn’t last long because their lips found one another in a kiss that tasted like salty happy tears and forgiveness. She missed his warmth and he missed her softness.
“We should tell my parents now, you know. Since we’re already here.”
“You sure?”
“Yeah, they invited you to dinner after I got home crying, they probably pierced everything together.”
Mick chuckled and pecked her lips again before turning back to the dishes. Once they were done and walked to the living room with dessert plates in their hands, Toto shared a knowing look with his daughter. Yn sat beside Mick on the smallest couch, and they both looked like two teenagers about to confess they passed the curfew and skipped class both in the same week.
Susie smiled.
“I…we have something to tell you guys,” Yn stated, shaking her legs up and down on the sofa, and she would probably go round and round before getting to the point, so her boyfriend ripped the bandage.
“We’re dating.”
“We were going to tell you guys, we just…were waiting for the right time and…”
“It’s ok, love,” Susie reassured.
“It is?” Yn asked.
“Yeah, but I won’t forget you got home crying last night,” Toto huffed, crossing his arms and looking at Mick whose eyes grew two sizes bigger.
“That whole thing was exactly about telling you guys,” Yn started, telling them how everything started and how she was afraid of their reactions. Her parents listened attentively, Toto would eye Mick every once in a while, to which Susie would grip his thigh even though she knew he was just messing with the German.
“Alright, it’s fine by me, but we still have to talk, young Schumi.”
“Of course, Toto.”
“It’s Sir from now on,” he stated and Mick opened his mouth looking for the right words, but settling only for a quick nod and a “Yes, Sir” which caused Susie and Yn to laugh, knowing the oldest Wolff long enough to catch when he was messing with someone.
“It’s a joke, kid. Welcome to the family,” he got up, and shared a quick hug with the youngest, but not before adding, “But I hope to God she doesn’t come home crying again, or else…”
“It won’t happen again.”
“What are you whispering to each other?” Yn intervened.
“Nothing,” Mick was quick to answer.
“I’m just telling him how happy I am to have him in the family now, right?”
They would eventually talk more, but for now, both were satisfied where things stood. Mick was happy to have the Wolffs' blessing somehow and to share with his own family about his relationship, and Toto was relieved his daughter wasn’t dating a driver from a different team.

Did you care?- König
Tumblr media
Part 1 is here
F!Reader, angst, no happy ending, cheating
"König!" you laugh, the waves of the warm summer ocean crashing against you. His family had invited you with them that summer, the first girl he ever brought home. He never told you that though. "Oh my Liebling." he laughs with you, taking you deeper into the ocean. It was then that he knew how strong love can be. Hours later, as you chased his little nieces and nephew along the shore, his family told him something he still remembers.
The accident, that is when you knew he still cared. At the age of 37, that is when he became a father to a woman he never loved. A car crash and stitches, that is what brought you to him. A father and a boyfriend, never to marry anyone else that isn't you, that is what made him a coward to his girlfriend's family. "R/N, König has gotten into a car accident." his mother called you around 2 am, her voice so tired and filled with fear. You dropped everything, including the late-night dinner you were having with your then-partner.
"Love, where are you going?" he questioned you. "A friend needs me, she...she broke up with her boyfriend and she needs me." The first of many lies you told to keep him safe. You didn't cheat but you lied to visit the guy you will always love. As you drove to the hospital, tears ran down your face. It was fear, regret and shame. "Hallo, ich muss einen Patienten finden-"
"R/N." his mother came rushing to you, tears on her face. You hugged her and walked with her to the waiting area. His father was there as well, you hugged him too and after minutes of breaks and cries, the story lay in your hands. The mother of his child ran away with his kid, he begged and cried for her to return. She lost their kid, got arrested and after a week of looking, he heard his child was found. One drunk driver, that is all it took to have you sit there, holding the hand of his forlorn mother. His child was under the custody of the police and he was in a grey room.
"You think you'll ever end up marrying me, R/N?" he looked over at you as you hung up decorations for Christmas. "I don't see myself ever marrying and there are times I fear of it. Just know this, I know I am meant for someone." He nods and keeps the ring in his pocket tucked away. "Yeah." was all he answered. You looked at him as he looked away at some decoration.
"For you, that is who I am meant for. I don't want a ring, a dress or a ceremony, I want this, this life you and I already have." you wished to say but those words never came out. Month after month you gave him clear clues that you wanted to be the one he lived with, old and grey.
You didn't even notice when his parents had gone to his room. You sat and stared at the white wall. The two years and a half that you spent trying to forget him all come crashing down. One phone call from his mother and you were there at his disposal. Many ask, what parts of life flash before someone as they near their possible death? For him it was you. The day at the beach, Christmas, the drunk karaoke, silly argument over movies. "Harry and Sally stayed together!" you protested. "Mein Liebling, Harry and Sally are two of the people I know will not make it to old age together. It was a kiss, maybe Sally left after that."
The one thing that he knew flashed before his eyes was the conversation at the beach years ago. Once you were let into his room, you sat by his bed. Parents out in the hallways, you held his hand. Fear was to die alone but this image was the current fear. Tears ran down your face, it didn't matter that he cheated years ago, that you two hadn't spoken since but what mattered was him now. You stoked his hair and kissed his forehead with trembling lips. Before, you couldn't stand him, but he was in this world alive and that brought you tranquillity. The thought of him no longer in it, that was the fear. Who cared if he moved on, he was alive, healthy and happy.
The muse to the blues you whistled, the kiss he gave you on the mysterious bruise, the cliche dance in the kitchen at midnight, and now you sit there, looking at his scarred face. You whispered for only him to hear, "That evening in December, when you were going to propose, I would've said yes, I was meant for someone, remember?" You stood up and walked out of the room. "R/N, will you stay?" His father asks. "I'm sorry, I have to meet someone early in the morning but keep me updated." You kissed his father's cheek and hugged his mother.
Meanwhile, König lay in that bed, eyes teary as he heard your confession. The ring he wanted to give you was on a chain that hung by his neck. Always to be by his heart. "Liebling." he whispers. "I want to marry you, over and over again." That is a promise two young lovers made.
"When we get old, you and I better retell the story of us," you say as you lay in the green grass. "And I will tell it to you every night," König spoke softly. "Every night," he holds your hand. "I will always tell you the story of how I met the greatest thing in my life." He smiles and sighs happily, "And I'll make you fall in love with me all over again." He meant every word, he wanted the spark of love between them to never die, for them to always be in love. "I'll always fall in love with you as if it was the first time, every single time." He cared, more than you'll ever know.
"You never let her go, my son." his mother sternly says. He sighs and looks over at you, his youngest niece hung by his arms, his nephew chasing you both. The giggles from the children and your laughter, yeah, he wants that life with you. "You think she'll want to?" he asks his parents. "If not today or in a year, I know she will." He looks at the ring and nods. "When I marry her, can you both please not give a long speech?" This caused his parents to laugh and nod a little.
Maybe the movies and all the news articles are right, in some universe, you and him are together. And in that universe, he has his three kids, a wife and the picket fence to his home. A home with you, two hearts that beat for the other. He cares.

Better Off in New York | Luke Hughes
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary: it’s been eight months since you left New Jersey, how exactly have you both been dealing with the move? Well let’s find out.
request: yes/no
warnings: none.
word count: 1.36k
authors note: thank you all so much for the love and support that you guys gave the first part of this mini series! This was a bit of a different thing to what I usually write, but don’t worry the next chapter in this is back to ‘normal’. In the requests for the next parts of this series a few people suggested that she moved to a different team so that’s why she’s gone to the Islanders.
previous part | next part
Tumblr media
You didn't need him.
At least that's what you told yourself. You reminded yourself of that as the notification of him liking your graduation post came through. You told yourself that when you turned down the job offer from the Devils. You even had to repeat that to yourself as you said goodbye to the garden state.
Thankfully though the move was fairly short as it was to New York. The islanders had offered you a job and despite the fact that they were a rival team, staying with the Devils was not worth the way that Luke had treated you.
The final straw was when he met your friends at the bar the night the Devils season had ended and he had proceeded to tell one of them how he would rather die a virgin than have sex with you.
Sure you knew that not everyone in life was going to like you, some might not even put up with you. But to go as far as saying that you weren't even someone he'd consider recreating with if you two were the last people on earth felt a bit much even for you.
You were grateful for the fact that you didn't have to face him for a day more as it was that next morning you went to the Devils to say goodbye and called the Islanders in the hopes that they still had that job offer.
Jack assumed that his brother had something to do with your departure but he never asked so you never told him.
It had been eight months since you moved to New York and you loved every single minute of it. The guys on the team were great and Mat had even gone as far as to help you settle in by offering you a tour from someone who was practically a local. You knew you shouldn't say this but as much as you tried to push the young Hughes boy out of your mind by being around the Barzal one instead, it was simply no use.
During your late night trips to his favourite pizza restaurant your mind would always betray you. As you would sit there listening to Mat going on about something, your mind would wander to Luke.
The lengths you reached to stop your mind were endless. Everything from the rubber band on your wrist to digging your nails into your palms. Eventually you gave up and let the thoughts of the curly haired boy consume you.
You wondered what he was doing, if he was happier now that you were gone, if there was maybe a part of him that missed you even a sliver of how much you missed him.
Truth be told, Luke got the shock of his life when the season started and you weren’t there. Yes he thought it was weird that you hadn’t been around all summer but the boy just chalked that down to you being home with your family. He couldn’t believe it when Jack told him that you had actually left. What hurt him more though was the fact that you had disappeared off of the face of his earth. You had blocked him on everything, going as far as to restrict his name from all social media’s. Luke knew that he shouldn’t have been surprised when each member of the team but himself had gotten a handwritten letter from you where you said a proper goodbye to them. It was a total slap in the face though when he walked into what was once your cubicle in the office that had now been taken over by some shy junior that you had actually convinced to take the job.
The first night that Luke spent in his apartment alone, he stared at ceiling silently replaying the moments of the relationship that you had built with him. Luke had to admit that he knew he had been cruel to you.
The hockey player pushed your buttons because he knew that he could. Just like how children bugged the people that they had crushes on. When you began to send him back the insults that he sent you, it was taken as a challenge. So Luke would slowly chip away at your mental state, he didn’t know that it was what he was hitting but you weren’t entirely sure that he would have cared if you told the hockey player the truth. But as he went thought back to how your responses changed throughout the two months of knowing you Luke came to terms with the fact that you had been falling back into a shell that simply nobody knew were possible. That bitter pill that he was being forced to swallow made Luke realise one thing: that his comments had gone too far.
He had considered creating a burner account to see what you had been up to but that idea was no longer necessary after Ellen let it slip at dinner.
The four had been eating dinner at Jacks favourite restaurant in New York when she asked why the older Hughes boy didn’t invite you.
For Luke it was embarrassing as he why you would have been there. It wasn’t because he wanted to be rude or snarky like he usually was, the defensemen just thought that New York was a pretty random place for you to be.
The younger Hughes boy swore that you hated big cities and that it was the reason why you never came along during the team roadtrips.
Somehow what hurt the most was having to learn from Nico that you had joined the Islanders. You had sent the Swissman a selfie of you drinking some tea that he had gotten you and as the Devils captain showed it to his younger teammate Luke’s eyes couldn’t help but go wide at the thought of you being at another team.
The idea of other players getting to see you smile every single day made him jealous, it truly is funny how people can change.
However his pride was too full to let him seek you out. Yes he had found your number whilst snooping around on Jacks phone but Luke hadn’t let himself fall that far down that particular rabbit hole.
There was one time that he did almost phone you. He had dialled the number in and everything even pressing the call button. Just like Luke expected you answered on the second ring.
It was late at night as you let out a yawn “hello?” Your voice was quiet as the time was quickly reaching the witching hour.
Luke couldn’t say a word, he wanted to but his lips were stuck together. It was like his brain just decided to switch off in the very moment that you answered your phone. It wasn’t like he could exactly start the phone call up with ‘remember how I used to be a dick to you? Well sorry.’
But before he could muster up the courage to say hi, you had already hung up.
The reason why he wanted to call you was because he wanted to yell at you. Not for anything that you had intentionally done though, Luke wanted you to know the impact you had on his life. The hockey player needed you to understand that even if you weren’t in his life, you had created a space for yourself in his heart.
So that was why Luke called, hoping that it would help him process the fact that he had accidentally called another girl by your name whilst in bed.
The moment was not one of his finest so it was no surprise that it had shaken the boy up.
Lacking the confidence to improve on the failed phone call Luke let out a sigh.
He rubbed his face with his hands as it dawned on him, he was going to have to wait until the Devils played the Islanders for him to see your face again.
Luke only hoped that it wasn’t too late.
The boy was going to have to pray that you hadn’t found a guy that you called yours.

I don't like the Found Family trope.
There, did I get your attention? It's true, but the question is, why is Guardians of the Galaxy still one of my favorite stories in any medium ever?
Something really clicked for me with the ending of Vol. 3 (spoilers ahead, natch). The team broke up and that kind of development is usually heartbreaking, because we love the team, they love each other, now that they've found each other why should they ever part ways?
The answer is that they're a family, and that's what families do. Growing up means leaving the parents who raised you and finding a path of your own, maybe to someday continue the cycle with kids of your own, but never losing what you got from your first family. Those people, who you can't choose, will always be a part of you.
Each of the Guardians, aside from Drax, had their childhoods interrupted by traumatic events. They didn't get to finish growing up naturally, and that loss hounded them all their lives. When they found each other they began to heal, but here's what I didn't realize until the end of the trilogy: the family that they found with each other wasn't the kind that you make when you grow up. It's the kind that you grow out of.
From the beginning, Peter has shown signs of "Peter Pan Syndrome," acting like a little boy even though he's highly skilled, courageous, and compassionate. His maturity gradually began to show through, but one quirk that kept coming up was his refusal to return to Earth. No good reason for it except that he couldn't bear the reminder of his mother and he was ashamed to face his grandfather. He can handle it now because his life with the Guardians gave him the stability he needed to become a true adult.
Gamora's new incarnation doesn't need the Guardians because she found the Ravagers instead. We don't know much about them but I expect that what they did for Yondu, they'll do for her too. In the meantime, Nebula's had a few good years of being loved and now she can follow the footsteps of the Gamora who was lost, aside from falling for Peter, because that's unlikely to ever work again.
Groot's been the most fortunate, not having his youth cut short or taking any serious trauma since he sprouted. Eventually he may want to strike out on his own, but until then it's good that he can stick with Rocket.
Mantis seemed more aware than anyone of their internal struggles, including her own. Which is appropriate, her being an empath and all. She really made the boldest possible move, going it alone, and I'm proud of her. Hoping she'll make an appearance in The Marvels or something else before reuniting with Peter and/or the Guardians.
Drax is a special case and the one who I thought was most likely to die, since it seemed like his arc was all wrapped up: he had his childhood before we met him and it was his adulthood that was ripped away from him. Revenge was his entire deal and Ronan and Thanos are dead now, so what's left for Drax? Well, it turns out revenge doesn't have to be his entire deal and now I'm embarrassed I ever thought otherwise.
Rocket...oh, Rocket. We always knew that he was something other than what nature had intended, and that was on top of the nonstop physical and emotional abuse, but now it turns out he already lost the only three people who put anything good into his sad little life. Since there was nothing to salvage from his upbringing, he was the one who needed the Guardians the most, so he's the only founding member to stay. But no mistake, it matters that he's staying as the leader. He's not alone, but he's not under anyone's control, either. He knows who is now and he knows his worth.
The "don't call me a raccoon" running joke always bothered me a little but I never dreamed it would have a payoff like it did in Vol. 3. Rocket claiming his full name is much more than a nod to his comic origins. It's his understanding of where he began and the injustice that was done to him, his acceptance that he wasn't at fault for the deaths of his first companions and that he does deserve to be loved by the Guardians.
That's the foundation that lets everyone part ways without having to ask each other if this means their relationships are over. As far as I've seen, no other found family in fiction has reached this point - the team is generally the endgame, and if someone leaves, things will never be the same again.
In a real family, a good one, when someone leaves we celebrate. Congratulations on your first apartment. Good luck at college. Blessings on your union. Just remember, you can always come home again. Our arms are open for you.

Bobby and Roier die together in the midst of a robot uprising 1,678 years after Bobby was born and seven galaxies away. They stop the revolution from happening a thousand years before its time, but at what cost?
Two hours later, Roier sits in another man’s clothes holding Jaiden’s hand as they watch Bobby’s body float peacefully into a black hole. They’re side-by-side sitting in the TARDIS’ doorway, and the universe, for once, is completely still.
“I’m sorry,” Roier croaks, not for the first time. But he’s still surprised by the sound of his own voice, he doesn’t know whose voice it is yet.
Jaiden shakes her head. Tearfully, she leans her head onto Roier’s shoulder.
“Nah,” she says. “Don’t be. He was a hero.”
“He was stupid. I told him not to follow me, and- ugh!”
Roier groans and throws his head back in frustration. God. Damnit!!
Jaiden sniffs. “Don’t be a dick. He saved an entire planet.”
“Yes, and? He still died.”
“So did you, so. So stop moping, okay? Look at him.”
She reaches up with her free hand and guides Roier’s head until it’s facing front again. They watch together as Bobby sinks into the event horizon, and it’s kind of nice, isn’t it? He’s frozen, now. Eternal. You can’t see past the event horizon of a black hole, there’s kinda just nothing beyond it. Just Bobby forever.
Dead.
“I’m looking,” Roier says, words all smushed together by Jaiden smushing his cheeks. “Maybe we should’ve done an actual funeral.”
“This is a funeral. He asked for it, and we gave it to him.”
It’s true. When Roier and Jaiden first met their little stowaway, Bobby hijacked the TARDIS’ controls and steered them towards the nearest black hole just so he could try and kill it. Even after giving up on that whole thing, he insisted that he’d get to fight a black hole one day. He might’ve been a kid, but he was gonna grow up eventually!!
Well. Look at how that turned out, hah.
Roier lets out a quiet laugh through his nose and averts his eyes.
The life of a Time Lord is a lonely one. Being immortal is one thing, but having your entire DNA structure and personality changed every time you die is another. Keeping friends is hard, and keeping them alive is harder.
(Roier curls his left hand into a fist.)
Humans are social creatures, though, and Roier loves them. Sure, he might be a freaky time-traveling alien, but humans are kinda like intergalactic cockroaches, and they can actually cook decent meals, and they were the first creatures in their galaxy to discover the concept of love, so Roier can’t not take them with him when they want to see the stars.
“I want to go home,” Jaiden quietly says.
Roier lets out a breath and nods. “Okay.”
Neither of them moves. They watch their dead son circle the black hole he’s always dreamed of killing, and they cry, and this is it, isn’t it? The end of an era. No more Familioier because Bobby is dead and the Roier that Jaiden met and knew and loved died with him and was replaced with some goofy dude with a new face and new voice and blegh. No wonder she wants to go home, her son is dead and her best friend was replaced with a stranger.
Still. It was nice when it lasted.
-
So Jaiden goes home. Roier drops her off five minutes from when he first picked her up almost a year ago. He even managed to get her in the right city, hell yeah! (Apparently he’s good at driving now, go figure?)
She hugs Roier and makes him promise to come and get her only when she calls him, and she’ll know if he does some time travel bullshit to get her before he’s ready, because she just knows him like that. She’s his best friend, and she’s the best human he’s ever known.
They hug one more time outside of the TARDIS, and then Roier is alone again.
He slips back into the TARDIS and closes the door behind him. He leans against the wall next to it and looks down at his ring and idly rubs it with his thumb.
“Goddamnit,” he mutters.
Time Lords have 12 ‘lives’ before they die. They change each time, both physically and mentally. It’s some metaphysical biochemical bullshit Roier doesn’t care too much about, but. But he’s on life number 12 now. One more death, and they might even get to see each other in the cosmic abyss. He can introduce him to Bobby, wouldn’t that be nice?
…Nah! He isn’t dead! Sure, he might’ve disappeared during the War, but so did, like, half of the planet, and most of those Time Lords have turned up. Some haven’t, but most have! What’s to say he isn’t any different? He’s probably in jail or something, wouldn’t that be crazy?
Roier smiles to himself. Hell yeah, prison time? Time for prison? He’s only got an infinite number of prisons in an infinite number of galaxies in an infinite number of years to dig through, easy!
He’s halfway to the TARDIS’ controls when he hears it: a quick, panicked-sounding knock-knock-knock on the TARDIS’ doors. Which should not be happening, the TARDIS is literally another dimension stuck inside a box, it’s soundproof! What the fuck!
Hesitantly, Roier goes to the door. His hand hovers over the handle until he hears another round of knocking. Then, he swings the door open to see… a guy.
A very surprised-looking guy. Human, probably, though you can never be too sure these days. Green shirt, messy hair, slight beard, chain necklace leading under his shirt. Nice-looking, if not kinda super visibly terrified out of his mind.
Roier’s son has been dead for an hour and a half. He still hasn’t gotten a chance to see what he looks like now- for all he knows, he could be, like, ugly, ew. His best friend has left him to grieve all by himself because she needed to grieve by herself, and he is starting to get just a little bit annoyed by, like. Everything.
Still, he tries to smile when he asks, “Hello? Can I help you?”
“Um,” says the guy, “hi. Sorry to bother you. But… help?”
Giving Roier absolutely no time to think about it, the man ducks under Roier’s arm and runs into the TARDIS, and he only halfway gasps when he sees the whole pocket dimension inside.
Roier briefly wonders, ‘what the fuck?’
And then he sees what this guy was clearly running from: a bipedal robotic polar bear thing easily the size of a horse running towards Roier and the TARDIS with a gun pulled.
Ah.
Roier closes the door and listens as the bear shoots his beloved spaceship. (Piece of shit…!)
That’ll do it.

BASIL (OMORI) — A complete (for now) analysis
spoilers under the cut !! ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
Tumblr media
BASIL is actually more nuanced than the game makes him out to be, and has hid his emotions far before KEL has, and is as tragic, if not more tragic, as AUBREY is.
HIS CHILDHOOD (^_^)
Let’s start off before he met the friend group. As POLLY says in-game, his parents left him when he was a toddler, with his grandmother being the only one there for him. She also does note that she’s only ever seen them once.
Tumblr media
…This is obviously something that affected BASIL’s life a lot. Being left with only one person—an old one at that. She cares, yes, but the thing is, we don’t know how she was like. All we get is old art, old concepts, but even then, it’s how SUNNY sees her. Maybe she was pretty strict, maybe she was someone that was lax but when upset, her punishments would be severe, traumatizing, even. Even then, despite the fact that he’s left with someone that cares for him, it’s still pretty bad. Why? Because he would realize that she isn’t his parent. That his grandmother isn’t his parent. And that realization hurts. He’s left to wonder why his parents left him. Why his parents abandoned, and neglected him. Why he seemed unwanted compared to others. Was it because they found him to be weak? Was it because they hated him? Was it because they had no time for him? We never know, and he really never did, either. It does not help that canon implies that there was no communication from him to his parents either.
This can actually cause children to feel like an alien. To feel like they are abnormal in comparison to others. To feel like they aren’t human. To feel that they can’t “connect” with society. They don’t know how to interact “properly” with people, because they can’t relate to other’s experiences. Because they have not experienced interacting much with people. Because they don’t know how to relate, they don’t interact much easily. Because they don’t know how to relate, their speech and manner of expression may not be up to standard. They don't know what a “parent’s love” is, a “mother’s love”, or what “love” is in general, because they weren’t exposed to that. This is, most probably, the case with BASIL. Even though he has a grandmother, it’s not really enough. It’s not enough, because it’s not his parents, it’s not the ones who gave birth to him. It’s not the ones who others would say “would love you unconditionally”. It’s not the ones who others would say “would love you the most”.
Considering that it’s his grandmother, BASIL might’ve actually had to tend to himself and mature faster than anyone did. His grandmother is old, and old people do have quite a lot of complications to deal with. Even if they’re healthy, they’re a bit fragile. He might’ve had to run errands for her, do house chores for her, and stuff like that. A grandmother isn’t the most reliable parental figure, because they could fall ill at any moment, they could die at any moment. He probably knows this, actually. If you take the hunter thing as canon, this does kind of add to the… y’know since he does have to see carcasses. We also don’t know if she’s actually nice. We don’t know if she was a good grandmother, we don’t know if she was a bad one either.
… Anyways. All that combined probably makes you think that BASIL would turn out to be a really sad and depressed kid. As in, something like post-incident SUNNY. But… surprisingly, he’s not. He’s happy, smiling, and if you look at the pre-incident art, more than SUNNY (although, SUNNY states that he doesn’t really like to smile in the traditional sense. BASIL sees right through him though, and knows if he’s smiling or not.). He’s smiling more than SUNNY, which admittedly, makes no sense if you take it as something that indicates “Oh!!! BASIL is happier than SUNNY and SUNNY pre-incident is traumatized!!!!” when you consider both of their childhoods. Which brings us to the next point…
THE INSIDE (PRE-INCIDENT) ( T_T)\(^-^ )
While not specifically expressed in canon (SUNNY and OMORI aren’t reliable narrators and their views won’t always be accurate), it is pretty implied that he hides feelings. Probably the most obvious indicators of that would be the fact that he vents to SUNNY, and the existence of STRANGER (who is implied to be the parts of BASIL that Sunny finds “unpleasant” while also being a positive figure and guide to him. Not to say that he dislikes BASIL, but he pretty much has this black and white view when it comes to the world because yeah, he’s young and has experienced a lot less pre-incident) and some parts of BLACKSPACE.
He probably has hid more feelings than the game lets on. Maybe he thinks of himself as “inhuman” and feels “strange” compared to everyone because he can’t relate that well to their experiences with their parents and peers, and uses smiling and laughing as a way to cope and/or cover that. Maybe he thinks of himself as “less”, that sometimes, he feels empty, sad, and even angry, and that’s why he acts the way he does. He involves himself in the activities of the friend group, because he’s so scared of being left alone again. To avoid being forgotten and abandoned, he helps everyone and tries to be the reliable friend everyone needs. Maybe because he’s never been able to make a lot of human interaction, he is the way he is. Maybe, he even exaggerated some of his emotions, for a lack of a better word. He wants to get “in” to the moment, truly feel it for what it is, which leads to his emotions being a mix of genuine and a mix of a slight exaggeration. He feels joy and does feel genuinely happy, but he exaggerates it at times. To him, it will all be but a fleeting moment, and when time comes, the friend group will collapse. He values his relationships with the friend group more than anyone, because to him, they are his true family. He takes photos of them, because he’s afraid to lose them.
Tumblr media
They say, “opposites attract”, correct? Then perhaps the reason why BASIL hangs out more with SUNNY, is because he is the very opposite to him, by technicality. SUNNY isn’t physically expressive with his emotions. SUNNY doesn’t smile, neither does he laugh a lot, but unlike him, But at the same time, SUNNY isn’t empty. SUNNY is so full of life. He is full of dreams, imagination, often good and fantastical. SUNNY has been around people who love and trust him his entire childhood, while BASIL hasn’t. SUNNY has been loved and cherished by everyone his entire childhood, but BASIL hasn’t. BASIL wasn’t as loved and cherished by everyone as SUNNY was. SUNNY had many people care for him before the friend group, while BASIL didn’t. SUNNY experienced parental love, but BASIL didn’t, and will never experience it. In his eyes, SUNNY is perfect, because he experienced what he cannot. Because he is loved by everyone. Because he is cherished, and treasured. He is what BASIL cannot be, and will not ever be. He is the “good person” he wishes to be, yet cannot be.
With that being said, BASIL probably does have trust and abandonment issues that he hid as well. His photo album can be a sign of that. Abandonment issues, caused by his parents leaving and the fact that his grandmother can fall ill / die at any moment, and trust issues caused by the abandonment issues. The photo album is also described as a collection of “things he is afraid to lose”.
He is also implied to be depressed and/or suicidal in a certain incident which will be addressed in the next section
“THE INCIDENT” ∑(゚Д゚)
The incident is a major part of the OMORI story. It is the very thing that serves as the catalyst for all the events ingame. As for this section of the analysis, it will attempt to give a reason—but not excuse—as to why BASIL did what, and what it may imply when it comes to his character. As well as clearing common misconceptions on why a character did certain things and why the misconception is incorrect.
The question “Why did BASIL hang MARI?” is a question asked by a lot of people. The answer to that is… quite simple, and that is because he didn’t want SUNNY to get in trouble, and hated by everyone. “But he could’ve called the ambulance!!! Or even his parents!!!” That is true, but consider, he was in a stressful situation, and he didn’t even know what to do, as witnessing a death of a friend caused by another friend is a hard thing to take. This and the fact that the police and medical services in OMORI FARAWAY seem quite incompetent and/or lacking, considering how AUBREY was able to get away scot-free while having a bat with nails on it. Also, him hanging MARI does also implies that he knows how to tie a noose. While that can be excused as something that comes from gardening, the thing is that. he knows that it’s for suicide, which also in turn, implies that he knows how to commit it. Which is concerning, especially when you take into consideration that he’s a 12 year old, and that it’s pretty rare for a 12 year old to know that back in the time OMORI is implied to have taken place in. The internet also didn’t exist back then, which makes it pretty impossible for Basil to know what suicide is and how to do it unless he planned to do it himself.
A common yet popular misconception in the fandom is that he is the one who scribbled up the photo album, and to that I say, “No, he wasn’t.” It was SUNNY. SUNNY was the one who scribbled up the photos, and BASIL just took the blame so that he wouldn’t get in trouble and be hated by everyone. BASIL actually says that it was SUNNY in an earlier version of the dialogue before the BASIL fight. (SUNNY even takes a step back when the rest of the gang (minus BASIL) hugs AUBREY! Which is an indicator of at least something.
Tumblr media
Another common yet popular misconception is that this is the only reason why BASIL is depressed/sad and that after the game, he’ll go back to being happy again, and to that I say, nope. Absolutely not. It’s not the only reason why BASIL is like that. Even if he healed from the trauma the incident has caused, a lot of his issues are still left unaddressed. The feelings from his grandmother dying, the worsened abandonment and trust issues, the strong yet not acknowledged and repressed feelings from AUBREY bullying him, the feelings from SUNNY leaving him, the feelings from… pretty much everyone leaving him are still there. Him also being suicidal and scared yet again to reunite, because he feels like it will dissolve even faster than before. He’s also still scared that they hate him, and even if they say they don’t, he feels like they’re lying and inside, they hate him and want him to die.
…Also, the incident is not completely BASIL’s fault. He wasn’t the reason why SUNNY shut himself in his room and became a shut-in / hikikomori. And while yes, his SOMETHING is in the shape of hanged MARI, SUNNY became a shut-in / hikikomori due to the guilt of killing Mari, and not because of BASIL hanging her. It’s not BASIL’s fault that SUNNY became a shut-in and that the group fell apart, because the group would’ve fallen apart anyway. It’s just that it’s no longer only SUNNY’s fault that the group did. And even if the hanging didn’t happen, the majority of the group wouldn’t be mature enough to understand the situation fully. We, as the players/readers understand it, because we have almost all of the pieces of the puzzle, but they won’t.
POST-INCIDENT, FARAWAY SECTION (¬_¬)
Before I’d like to start off this segment, what the fandom fails to acknowledge most of the time is that BASIL is 16. He’s not a crybaby. He’s not scared of everything. He’s not a scaredy-cat. Most of those assumptions come from the fandom’s inability to recognize that BASIL has suffered as much as SUNNY and AUBREY have. He is as pained and hurt as them. He was hurt and in pain because of them, too.
The first time we see BASIL, we see him asking for his photo album, but getting bullied and getting told “no” instead. This makes a pretty bad first impression to younger fans and illiterate fans, and because of that, he is often watered down into this “uwu coward soft boy who cries a lot”, which he isn’t. He may seem like it, but he isn’t. The second time we see BASIL, he is at the old hangout spot, and calling for help. This… actually does imply a lot of things, one of them being suicide. He might’ve came there to die in a place where he missed, to look at the place one last time before he would commit suicide, but he was stopped by the hooligans. which most likely bullied him (even though they say they didn’t). And the last time, the sleepover, he either kills himself, or stabs SUNNY in the eye due to hallucinations and stress.
The BASIL we see here, in Faraway, is a more broken version of BASIL. He still acts and hides feelings—or at least tries. It’s not as effective as before. One thing I’d like to point out is the fact that we never really actually see BASIL do anything connected to his past interests. While yes, his photo album being missing may be a part of it, he doesn’t really take photos anymore. We don’t see him taking care of his flowers, either. Maybe he could’ve lost interest in it, as a result of the incident. One POLLY line actually does say that he stopped taking care of his flowers completely at some point before the game.
Tumblr media
BASIL probably doesn’t eat much. We don’t see BASIL eat the food in the time SUNNY and KEL were in his house. POLLY does state that he’s been going to the bathroom a lot, too.
Tumblr media
That aside, let’s get deeper into it. BASIL, in faraway, is most likely at the lowest point of his life. He had to see his friends leave him one by one (even KEL! even HERO!), and have one bullying him. He no longer has an outlet for his extremely bottled up emotions. He doesn’t have anyone, and his grandmother fell ill as well. POLLY is also paid to be there for him too, which means she doesn’t really count as someone he has. She isn’t close to him, either. She isn’t as close to him as the fandom makes her out to be. She cares, yes. But she isn’t close to BASIL at all. She does say it as well
Tumblr media
The reason behind why BASIL stabbed SUNNY’s eye was because he was hallucinating, and not because he actually wanted to stab SUNNY. He stabbed SUNNY’s eye because he thought his eye was a part of SOMETHING (that… he is implied to hallucinate heavier for whatever reason), and not SUNNY. Although, it’s not completely all because of that, it’s a key part of it. His repressed anger and hatred, him being genuinely upset, as well as his desire to protect SUNNY from SOMETHING—a thing that he genuinely and wholeheartedly believes is real and something that exists in reality—is also a part of it too. This part does not mean that BASIL put his selfish desires first, this does not mean that BASIL puts his desire to keep his best friend above SUNNY’s safety. This doesn’t mean that he’s only concerned with what SUNNY can do for him and not concerned with what is best for him. BASIL was going through a breakdown, so a lot of the things he says are in this confused state where he doesn’t know what he’s feeling, what is really happening, and isn’t thinking clearly. BASIL is not doing all this with a clear head and mind. Both the safety of SUNNY and not wanting SUNNY to leave are both on the forefront of his mind, it’s just that, because of the overwhelming stress and the fact that his thoughts aren’t that clear, his method and way of protecting SUNNY is a bit “confusing”. He cares, he cares for SUNNY’s safety, but in this context, the “normal” way of caring doesn’t apply, because the situation isn’t really normal to begin with. The part where he states that he’ll end both of their pains (by murder-suicide) is most likely out of stress, because his situation is extremely stressful, and it’s sad that nobody recognizes it.
He also does use toxic positivity, saying “Everything will be okay…” even if it won’t. It’s just… less recognized.
POST-INCIDENT RELATIONSHIPS & WHAT LIES BEYOND (・・?)
BASIL, post-incident, probably also does have a lot of hidden feelings as well. This time, feelings like anger and even hatred towards his friends, an intense and deeper emptiness, and a lot more worsened negative feelings are added to it.
BASIL still thinks of himself as “weird” compared to everyone else in the friend group, especially after the incident. He feels inhuman, even worse now because if people knew what he did, he knows that they would think of him as a monster and someone unforgivable. He knows now that what he did could be considered inhuman, and feels regret for it. His problems have been intensified, his mental health took a nosedive, and so much more.
With that being said, deep down, maybe he did resent SUNNY. For leaving him when they promised that they would be there for each other. For leaving for 4 years and making him bear the brunt of the judgment. For leaving him when he needed help the most. For leaving him and letting him take fault for something he did (blacking out the photos). But he can’t help but still love him through all of that, whether you take it platonically or romantically. They are tied by a string of fate, they will find each other no matter what, and will try to forgive themselves and each other. The path to recovery is laid with hardships, and complicated feelings. BASIL and SUNNY are each other’s weakness, but each other’s reasons for going on. SUNNY’s desire to save HEADSPACE BASIL that carried on to the FARAWAY BASIL, and BASIL’s desire to see SUNNY again, if only for a while. It is not only KEL who helped SUNNY stay alive, but BASIL as well. Even if BASIL thinks that he’s too far gone to be found, if he’s someone who cannot be helped anymore, SUNNY still tries to help him. SUNNY wants to help him. It is not BASIL that forces him to, but SUNNY’s own desire. BASIL doesn’t force him to, he asks him to, but not force him. SUNNY is doing it on his own accord, because he wants to help BASIL. BASIL understands SUNNY, and SUNNY understands BASIL, both on a much deeper level than anyone else. They have hurt each other, yes, but everyone in the group has hurt each other at some point. They are each other’s triggers, but they are also each other’s sources of comfort. They are why they were able to face and accept the truth of the accident and incident. It is because of each other that SUNNY was able to accept that MARI died, and that SUNNY was the one who was at fault when it comes to MARI’s death and the accident. Even if SUNNY lost his eye because of BASIL, it is also because of BASIL that he was able to remember and face the truth of the accident and incident.
Now, to AUBREY, deep down, he probably resents her too, possibly much more than SUNNY. One thing that I’d like to mention is that bullying is, in fact, a form of abuse. I’m not calling AUBREY an abuser, but she did do fucked up things. She was a horrible person, but she wasn’t evil. He’s not calm because he understands, he’s calm because he thinks the one at fault. He thinks he deserves it. He understands, yes, but that’s not why he’s calm. He’s calm because he genuinely thinks there’s something wrong with him, and that he’s the one who needs to adjust. People who get bullied tend to think that there’s something wrong with them, that they have to be the one to adjust, especially if said person was close to you before it. Some don’t realize it’s bullying either until they reflect and think more about it, especially if they were once a friend, or a family member. Technically, what she did Is abuse, since bullying is considered abuse. It doesn’t matter if it was verbal abuse at first, it still counts as it. Verbal bullying is STILL bullying, and it is also still abuse. It’s a pretty gray area when it comes to AUBREY, because I don’t want to be too harsh and call her an abuser, but yeah. In terms of forgiveness, words and feelings don’t matter without actions, much like how actions don’t matter much without the words, which is why AUBREY does need to be treated a bit harsher by the fandom, since the bullying isn’t something you should brush off when it comes to analyzing BASIL’s character. Forgiveness from BASIL will take a long time, it’s going to be a rocky road for them to be even comfortable with each other, for BASIL to not flinch every time AUBREY tries to get close. To not feel uncomfortable whenever she even gets close. Which is not a thing that is acknowledged when it comes to BASIL.
Onto KEL. I think it’s pretty clear that KEL and BASIL haven’t interacted much before the 3 days left. KEL even acts surprised about BASIL being there, with this line.
Tumblr media
While there isn’t much to say about them, BASIL might’ve resented him too, just not as much as SUNNY and especially AUBREY. KEL left him too, even if KEL mentioned that they wouldn’t really respond, it doesn’t stop BASIL from feeling that way. Maybe he would’ve resented the fact that he seemed to prioritize SUNNY over him, maybe he would’ve felt like he was less important to the eyes of KEL. And while yes, this may not make sense to us players/viewers because we know why KEL is knocking, BASIL doesn’t know. The mind is both rational and irrational, after all. Even if another person feels something, it does not stop someone from feeling, well, another thing. BASIL most likely doesn’t know if he should resent him or not, he knows that it might be because SUNNY’s house is marked “for sale”, but he wishes the same effort was spent for him, as well. He might’ve felt like KEL prioritized him the least, he might of thought that KEL sees him as “less”. Keep in mind, his feelings and thoughts are not necessarily true, so these aren’t facts. KEL does care, but it doesn’t stop BASIL from feeling like that. (Just thought I had to make that clear because some people might take this wrongly)
BASIL and HERO… There isn’t much to say about this segment. While it’s understandable that HERO left because of college, sometimes he does resent him for leaving like everyone else. He resents all of them for leaving, some even more because of certain factors or actions. But…
BASIL still loves all his friends. He does. He cherishes them all, but he can’t help but feel that way towards all of them. He can’t help it. He feels disgusted for feeling that way towards all of them, he feels disgusted for feeling negatively, but he can’t help but still feel it. No matter how much he tries to tell himself he doesn’t deserve to feel like that towards his friends, to think negatively of them, he will always feel these things deep down.
POST-TRUTH REVEAL FEELINGS AND POST-GAME SPECULATIONS (´ー`)
Post game, a lot of BASIL’s problems go unsolved. He isn’t exactly portrayed to have reconciled with the rest. While yes, you can take the “Let’s make new memories together, okay?” line as BASIL wanting to make new memories with his friends, it’s DREAM BASIL that says that, and he, despite looking like FARAWAY BASIL, isn’t BASIL himself, so that isn’t reliable. His grandmother, his only source of comfort for those 4 years also dies, leaving him with someone who he isn’t sure he can trust due to her being there because of a job, and obligation. All that combined does just feel like instead of getting better, his problems will just fester into something worse. He’s basically alone as well. Even more so due to the reactions to the truth. SUNNY left yet again, he took the brunt of the reactions, he isn’t close to the friend group, he is still suicidal. POLLY isn’t someone who is a mother figure to BASIL. She isn’t even close to him. He doesn’t even feel comfortable with her.
… That’s not saying that the friend group won’t try to get closer to him again, because yeah, they do have a chance to try to get closer to him, it’s just that BASIL’s issues and problems go unresolved because he probably won’t open up to them for a while, or even open up to them at all. His problems still aren’t solved, either. Yeah, sure, he might admit some things, but they won’t be the closest anymore. It’ll probably take a very long time for BASIL to even warm up to them again. Might even take 2 years. Maybe he even tries to be more like himself pre-incident because he perceives it as a way for him to be redeemed in their eyes, but because of that, he hurts himself even more. He wants to be himself around everyone, but maybe he feels that “himself” isn’t who they want.
This part is mostly just speculation, although it is something that should be acknowledged more. His problems are still there, and even if you give him therapy, his problems will still be there, therapy is not something that solves your problems, it helps you until you can deal with it. It is not something that will magically make you emotionally intelligent, but more of something that helps you identify emotions better.
CONCLUSION ☆彡
Overall, I think BASIL is the character least talked about in this much depth, and often mischaracterized along with HERO and MARI. Many people fail to recognize that he’s also as tragic as SUNNY AND AUBREY are. Many people fail to recognize that his issues go far beyond the incident as well. Not a lot of people recognize that SUNNY’s issues and trauma isn’t worse than BASIL

Y/N always found themselves sitting at Lily’s bedside, reading her favourite book. A small smile on both of their faces, since Lily’s mother had left the two once they found out the severity of her illness, Y/N was there with her everyday.
Everyday, they passed a red head who always disappeared into the room down the hall. Sitting beside her sister who had severe liver disease, although the blonde had never done any form of drugs or alcohol abuse, she was dealt a bad hand.
“So, the doctor said I can take you out for some fresh air today.” Y/N told Lily who beamed. “Of course it will only be to the hospital gardens but it is out of this room.”
“Thank you O’Pa.” Lily spoke as she looked at Y/N.
“You have nothing to thank me for.” They told her as they helped her get her coat on.
“You’re always here.” She started. “Everyday, you even do your work here too.”
“I would do anything for you.” They told her. “You’re the most important person in my life and I don’t know how I will cope once you leave me.”
“I’ll never truly leave you O’Pa.” She told them softly. A smile on both of their faces. They helped her get situated in the wheelchair, placing her fluffy blanket over her lap to help keep her warm.
Once the two sat side by side in the garden, Lily’s smile faltered as she thought deeply.
“Do you think mom will miss me?” She asked them as they sighed. Not really knowing where their ex was, even though they weren’t yet divorced, they only thought of Lily.
“Yeah.” They answered unsurely. “I’d like to think she wouldn’t be completely heartless, but she doesn’t deserve for you to think about her, not when she abandoned you.”
“She left you too.” She pointed out as they nodded.
“She did.” They spoke thoughtfully. “But the reason she left allowed me to truly see the person she is, and I don’t want someone like that around my sweet girl.”
“Do you think they’ll find me a liver?” Lena asked as she and Nat walked through the gardens.
“Maybe.” She whispered, although she was unsure, she wanted Yelena to have a little bit of hope. “I believe they will.”
“I don’t want to die.” She whispered, a tear escaping her eye as Nat was quick to wipe it away.
“You’re not going to die.” She told her firmly. “I am not ready to lose my little sister.” Nat’s eyes soon caught sight of the tired parent who sat beside their teenage daughter, a sad smile on her face as she could see the pain in their eyes, even as they smiled and laughed.
That evening, the two escaped to the canteen, both Lena and Lily were sleeping and the adults were in need of a coffee.
“Hi.” Nat greeted them as she stood beside them in the que.
“Hey.” They gave her a small smile.
“I saw you earlier, was that your sister?” She questioned as they chuckled.
“No, Lily is my daughter.” They told her as they walked back through the corridors. “My wife and I had her when we were in school, the marriage was the most stupid decision I ever made but Lily is everything to me.”
“Where is your wife?” Nat questioned as they chuckled lightly.
“You're very nosey for a stranger.” They teased as she nodded with a giggle.
“Well, I spend pretty much all of my time here, so I need some form of adult conversation.” She answered truthfully. “My baby sister has severe liver failure.”
“I’m so sorry to hear that.” They whispered as she nodded. “I guess it is lonely being here all of the time. I usually work from home but I brought my work here with me. Lily has a degenerative heart condition and has been on the list for the better part of a decade.”
“I’m sorry to hear that.” She spoke tenderly as they shook their head.
“She’s not afraid.” Y/N whispered as they stopped outside of Lily’s room. “She knows that the likelihood of her getting a new heart within the next few months is extremely slim. So she’s made peace with it, and I guess I have to make peace with it too.”
“But it’s good to have hope.” Nat told them as they sighed.
“I did have hope, for many years I had hope but day by day, I started to lose it.” They looked up at Nat. “I’ve lost hope that she will get better, but I know that she won’t be in pain. She will be free of her pain.”
Both Y/N and Nat had spent most of their days together, even taking the two girls out to the garden. There was only a couple of years of age difference between the two of them, so they had got on like a house on fire.
What they never thought would happen would be that she would start to deteriorate rapidly through the night.
“I’m sorry.” The doctor spoke after giving their prognosis.
“Wouldn’t a transplant work?” They questioned urgently as the doctor shook his head.
“Her heart is barely beating, she is barely holding on.” He told them.
“There must be something you can do to give us more time.” They pleaded as Lily tried to call out to them. “I’m not ready. I’m not ready.”
“O’pa.” She called as loud as she could. “You’ll be fine.” They shook their head as they looked away, allowing the tears to fall freely. “How do we know if I am a match for Yelena?” She asked him as Y/N turned to look at her.
“You are a match.” He answered her. “But she isn’t at the top of the list.”
“What if I want to give my liver to her.” She told him. “Isn’t there some sort of waver that I can sign?”
“Yes.” He said as Y/N sighed before he turned to face them. “But I need your permission.”
“She has my permission.” They stated shakily. “If this is what she wants to do then I will sign whenever I need to.”
“Thank you O’Pa.” She smiled as the doctor left the room, soon returning to her with papers to sign.
As the days went by, Y/N never left her side, afraid that every second could be her last second.
“Promise me you will find happiness O’Pa.” She rasped out as they nodded, holding her hand.
“I promise.” They smiled tearily. “I love you so much Lily.”
“I love you too O’Pa.” Lily smiled before smirking. “Lena’s sister is pretty and single.”
“Lily. I am not looking for a relationship.” They told her.
“Maybe a friend then, you could use one.” She told them as they nodded.
“Maybe.” They whispered as she took a deep breath.
“I’m tired.” She told them as they gave her a tight lipped smile, tears filling their eyes.
“Sleep sweetheart.” They ran their hand through her hair, humming the lullaby she had always loved since she was a baby. Time felt as though it had frozen as they waited for the machines to beep constantly before stopping. Once the doctor had entered the room, muting the monitor before calling time of death. Y/N cried silently as they kissed her forehead one last time. Soon getting up and leaving the room for a moment as they prepared her for organ donation. Racing against time as they hooked her up to a bypass to remove the available organs.
“Y/N?” Nat questioned as she approached Y/N, a coffee in her hand. “No.” She whispered as they just nodded.
“She’s gone.” They spoke barely above a whisper. “The only person I had is gone. I have nothing left.”
“I’m so sorry.” Nat rested her hand on their back as they leaned forward.
“I’m going to be sick.” They started to run towards the bathroom, hurling themselves into an empty stall and vomiting the contents from their stomach. They collapsed to the floor beside the toilet, sobbing as they hugged their legs.
“Y/N!” Natasha ran to them, hugging them as they cried. “Is there someone I can call?”
“Pietro.” They whispered. “He’s been my best friend for years.” They handed her their phone after unlocking it. She soon found Pietro’s contact in the phone and dialed it.
“Hey Y/N/N.” He spoke as he answered the phone.
“Hi, is this Pietro?” Nat spoke.
“Yeah, where’s Y/N?” He questioned.
“They’re at the hospital, it’s bad.” Nat told him.
“It’s Lily isn’t it.” He spoke as a mere observation.
“Yeah.” She whispered. “They need you, Pietro, or someone.”
“I’m on my way.” He told her as soon as he hung up, heading straight from work to the hospital.
“He’s on his way.” Nat told them as they nodded.
“Thank you.” They whispered as they looked up at her. “How’s Lena?” They asked as they got to their feet.
“She is in surgery.” Nat told them. “They finally found a liver.” She watched their expression through the mirror. “It was Lily’s.”
“It was what she wanted.” They told her, a sad smile on her face. “She knew she was dying, she had known for years. She was ready.”
Y/N had soon accepted their daughter’s death, slowly moving forward with their life as she wanted. Returning to their apartment and work, slowly getting everything back to normal.
Of course, their ex never showed up, even after they had sent her a simple text, explaining the whole situation. She still never came to say goodbye to their daughter.
“Hey.” They heard a familiar voice as they waited in line at the coffee shop.
“Nat, hi.” They smiled at her. “How are you and Lena?”
“We are both great.” She beamed as she joined their side. “She is now cleared from the hospital.”
“That’s great to hear.” They beamed as Nat smiled.
“How have you been? I wanted to try and reach out to you sooner but.” She started as they shook their head with a small smile.
“That’s ok, and I have been coping.” They told her. “It’s slowly getting easier to get up as each day comes but I still miss her.” The two soon ordered their coffees and sat down at a table outside. Nat watched as Y/N lit up a cigarette. “But being back in the office has made it all bearable.”
“That’s great.” She smiled proudly at their progress.
“A friend of mine is hosting a barbecue this Saturday, would you and Lena like to join me?” They asked her as she smiled shyly.
“Yeah, Lena would love it too.” She answered them as they smiled.
“Great, here is my number, text me your address and I’ll pick you both up.” They told her as they handed her a card before getting up with their coffee in their hand. “I have to get back to the office. I’ll see you both on Saturday.” Nat waved goodbye as she watched them walk away through the crowded streets, a smile on her face as she watched them disappear.
“Do you think this is a good idea?” Wanda asked Y/N as they joined her and Vis for dinner. “Lily gave her liver to her sister.”
“I know.” They nodded. “But I just feel at ease with her, at the hospital, she was my only friend.”
“I’m sorry.” Wanda whispered as Y/N shook their head no.
“Wanda, you have the twins to think about, Pietro has work and Mon is pregnant. I didn’t expect any of you to put your lives on hold for me.” They told her confidently. “But Nat was a friend to me during the hardest time of my life.”
“I just don’t want you to get hurt.” She told them as they kissed her head.
“I know.” They smiled before helping her set the table. Everyone tried to make them feel as normal as possible.
“Y/N.” Vis spoke up as they all sat at the table. “I found her, Sharon.”
“Yeah?” They questioned curiously.
“I still have the divorce papers you had written up and signed, ready to send to her.” He informed them as they nodded.
“Send them.” They told him. “I am ready to cut all ties with her.”
“I will be sure to deliver them myself.” Vision told them as they nodded, a small smile on their face as everyone sat down, eating dinner as normal as can be.
The day of Wanda’s barbecue came around and Y/N was nervous about picking up Nat and Lena, bringing them to meet their family you may as well say.
“Hey.” They greeted as Nat answered the door. “Are you both ready?”
“Yeah, Lena’s just getting her bag.” Nat told them with a smile. Once the three of them were situated in the car, Y/N started the journey to Wanda’s. Nat was bouncing her leg up and down nervously as Lena listened to her music through her headphones.
“It’s going to be ok Nat.” Y/N reassured her, giving her knee a squeeze.
“I know I shouldn’t be nervous because it isn’t like we’re in a relationship.” She thought she said something wrong as Y/N’s smile faltered. “Not that being with you would be a bad thing because quite frankly, I would consider myself lucky if I was with you.”
“It’s ok Nat.” They smiled. “Although Wanda may be the tough one to convince, she is like a sister. Her, Pietro and I grew up together. She was the one who helped me adjust to helping Lily even though she had the twins.”
“She sounds special.” Nat whispered as Y/N nodded.
“She really is.” They confirmed as they soon pulled up in Wanda’s driveway. Helping both Lena and Nat out of the car before leading them up to the door, letting themselves in and heading straight to the yard, Pietro manning the grill, the twins running around as Wanda conversed with Monica.
“Y/N!” The twins ran straight towards them, running straight into their arms, catching the attention of the three adults.
“Hey mini Maximoffs.” Y/N beamed as they hugged the two of them.
“Y/N.” Monica smiled as she greeted them with a hug, soon followed by Wanda.
“This is Natasha and Yelena.” They introduced the two as Monica smiled, introducing herself before she decided to help the twins with something.
“Hi.” Nat squeaked out as she shook Wanda’s hand, holding her firm gaze with a smile on her face.
“It’s so nice to meet you.” Wanda smiled as she looked between the two sisters. “Thank you for looking out for this one when we couldn’t.”
“Wanda.” Y/N groaned. “I.” They started before Wanda cut them off.
“She was still the one who helped you through it more than the rest of us, and Lily would be thankful for this woman.” She told them firmly as Y/N nodded, giving Wanda another side hug before disappearing to help Pietro. “So, what is your relationship with Y/N?” Wanda asked as she and Nat disappeared inside to prepare the salad.
“I don’t really know what we are.” Nat spoke honestly. “We’re friends I guess but is it wrong to want more?”
“No.” Wanda smiled at her. “It’s never wrong to want more than you get.” She turned to look at Nat who was watching them talk with Yelena. “I watched them go through heartbreak, three times in their life.” Nat listened to her words intently. “I watched their life slowly slip away when they received Lily’s diagnosis, then when their ex left the two of them, and thirdly only months ago. Lily was the best thing that they had in their life and how they remained by her side everyday up until the very end. It shows me just how strong they truly are and they need someone to remind them of that, especially when they get sucked back into the darkness.” She looked at Nat. “Maybe that person could be you, you could be their light in the darkness.”
“So, what is it with you and my sister?” Lena questioned as Y/N sat beside her.
“We’re friends.” They started as they soon heard some commotion from the house. Getting up and heading straight inside to see the woman they never wanted to see again.
“Y/N, can we at least talk about this.” She asked as she held up the divorce papers.
“They need to be signed by you and then I can be free of you.” They told her bluntly.
“Can we at least work this out?” She asked as she pointed between the two of them. “It’s what Lily would want.”
“You have no right to say her name!” They growled as they stepped closer to her. “She was my daughter! Not yours because you ran away as soon as it got real. You abandoned her when she needed us both.” They took a deep breath as tears formed in their eyes. “Do you want to know what she asked me before she died? She wondered if you would miss her! Even though she hadn’t seen you in years, she still had good thoughts about you, and I never had the heart to tell her the truth about you being a fucking coward.” They took a deep breath as everyone listened. “So do me one favor and sign those god damn papers because I don’t want to be married to you. I haven’t for years because I lost hope that you would come home years ago. Hell, I was stupid to hold onto that hope that you would return.”
“Y/N?” She tried again shakily.
“JUST FUCKING SIGN THEM!!” They yelled as they stepped closer. “I WANT OUT!!!! SO JUST SIGN THEM!!”
“Sharon, I suggest you sign them and leave.” Wanda told her firmly as Pietro held Y/N back against the wall, allowing them to calm down. Sharon looked over their broken state, seeing that the Y/N she knew was gone, she no longer knew who they were.
“Ok.” She whispered as Wanda handed her a pen, watching over her as she signed them before leaving.
“Are you ok?” Wanda asked them as they looked in her eyes.
“I’m so sorry Wanda. I never wanted to lose myself. Not in your home.” They whispered as she shook her head.
“It’s perfectly understandable.” She told them before pulling them in for a hug.
The drive back to Natasha’s apartment was silent, once they had pulled up, they walked the two of them to the door. Lena gave a quick wave before disappearing to her room, leaving Nat and Y/N alone.
“I’m sorry about earlier.” They told her. “Neither you or Lena should have witnessed that.”
“It’s ok Y/N.” She told them as she took their hand in hers, they looked at their hands together and it felt right. “I understand why.”
“But it was disrespectful.” They pressed on.
“I can see how Lily was so caring and mature for her age.” Nat whispered as Y/N’s eyes snapped to hers.
“Lily.” They nodded as they took their hand away from hers. “I have to go.” They told her, walking away towards the elevator, Nat closed the door, leaning against it as Y/N made it all the way to their car. “Fuck.”
With that, they ran inside the building and up the stairs, running as fast as they could before knocking frantically on the door.
“Y/N?” Nat spoke confused, only to be cut off by them cupping her face and kissing her passionately. “What?”
“I needed to do that.” They whispered. “I don’t know where or when I started falling for you but I have and I made a promise.” They told her as their foreheads pressed together. “I promised Lily and I intend to keep that promise.”
“What was the promise?” She asked softly.
“To find happiness again.” They told her. “And that’s how I feel when I am around you, I feel free to feel how I feel.” They sighed as they looked in her eyes. “I am free to find myself again.”
“When you do find yourself, then take me on a date.” She told them as they nodded. “But not until your divorce is finalised and you know who you are again.”
“I will.” They nodded before kissing her once more, walking away with a wide smile on their face. Finally free to feel more than just pain and grief.
@natsbraids was it better and happier than my others? ;)

Hi there!
So, I recently had been reading your Gawtin stuff and read the original and just thought what if it was reversed(but she still has Qui'oky) like he could be the one who found the almost dead human that seemed so thin and was covered on bruises, maybe she was a slave or she was captured who knows.
You don't have to do this if you don't want too! I hope you have a good day/night!!!
:D
What If...?

The chain left no room for freedom. It pressed firmly against your skin. Welts and dark bruises rose under the thick, unbreakable band that encased your throat. No matter how many times you complained, it fell to deaf ears. If the creature had ears to beginning with. You whined and looked around the area. Not a sign of life in the vicinity.
Wherever the beast has gone didn’t offer you relief. Your hand ran along the chains linked together. They were attached to a stake deep in the ground. You’ve gnawed, twisted, and pulled at the metal but they’ve barely even groaned at the many attempts you’ve conducted.
Nothing worked to damage the metal.
This time, you hoped it would come back with something for you to eat. It had been three days since it returned with food.
With a groan, you stumbled to your feet and walked to the end of the chain. It was a short leash that didn’t offer a lot to move around with. Though, your fighting spirit had decreased each day you’ve been trapped at this horrible camp ground, you weren’t going to lie down and give up.
Skulls of human lined one area, seven in total. More were decorated the trees. Either a deterrent from you escaping or others to turn tail and run. Or else they’ll end up just like the pearly white skulls and bones that hung from branches. A warning you took carefully.
Especially after the first time the beast found you trying to escape.
Hours of digging through compacted dirt and root filled grounds still hadn’t reached to the end of the stake. You hadn’t heard the silent steps until a foot connected to your stomach. The strength behind it combined with the short leash had you fly through the air for a short period. Then, the chain caught you at the end and slammed you into the ground. The fact your neck hadn’t snapped from how hard the band dug into your skin was a miracle…
Or this beast didn’t want you dead just yet.
Was it just playing with its food? You shuttered and scanned the area again.
Nothing.
That didn’t ease the tension building inside of your chest. You stepped to the end of your leash and looked over at the items that are outreach.
Everything you needed to kill it, sitting over by where it likes to rest. Teasing you. Right there. Knives. Even a spear that you could launch into its chest and watch it die. It deserved with all the torture it made you endure since it captured you.
From the day cycles, you speculated it had been around two, maybe three months. Three fucking months of this bullshit. Barely enough food to keep you even afloat and alive. Water was a once a day thing. It knew you were needy for at least water. It gave you a bag of it for five minutes before ripping it away. Each time, you begged for a sip more.
It never gave you that relief.
You groaned and tugged at the collar ensnared around your throat when it sliced against old and knew cuts. They’ve never had a chance to fully heal as the sharp ends continuous pressed into your fragile skin.
The beast never cared or batted an eye at your cried and pleads to loosen it. Actually, it wasn’t originally this tight. As punishment and probably to shut you up, the creature took out a link on the collar and reclosed it. The entire time, you fought against it while it sat perched on your back. But, you’ve learned since day one that it could kill you with little effort.
A punishment that further diminished your chances of escape. Yet, with how much weight you’ve lost, the collar isn’t dangerously pressed to your arteries or the column of your throat anymore. Maybe two fingers could uncomfortably slip between your skin and the harsh metal.
As you stood there, your gaze fixed on the weapons so close yet so far away, you smacked your crack lips together. There was nothing you could do with what time the beast gave you to dig again. That was your only option to escape. To get this stupid collar off and snatch one of the many knives out on display.
None of the sticks around you were strong enough to even bend the metal without snapping, crumbling away. You huffed then sat down at the base of a tree and leaned against the bark. Pieces poked into your back but you didn’t care enough to move.
That became a reminder you were still alive.
After time, your mind grew numb from the lack of stimulation. You stared blanket at the pine needle covered floor and waited. That was all you do.
Something heavy landed in your lap and jolted from the desolate field of your brain. Your head snapped up to find the unfortunately familiar form of the strange dark brown form in front of you. It scoffed and marched away.
Your eyes drifted down to find the bag of water in your lap. Desperation clawed at your throat. You scrambled to untie the knot that kept it close and began to chug the liquid down. A couple of times, you had to break off and gasp for a single breath before going in for more. This was only a once a day thing.
This time, you were able to down the whole thing before it came back over and grabbed it back. It rolled its dark eyes and sneered down at you with its horrifying face.
Clicks sounded its throat. “If you gave me access to water everyday, I wouldn’t do that every time,” you snarked it and glared dangerously. It stiffened and bent at the waist to get into your face. You didn’t back down. Either to end it all or piss it off, you didn’t know what end goal you were wanting.
The horrible breath rolled over your face, nearly making you gag at the smell. Rotten death.
A massive hand ensnared your throat and easily lifted up your body from the ground. Your feet kicked out and struck its legs but didn’t cause any damage enough to get it to let go.
Instead, it seemed to encourage it as its hand tightened. A deadly snarled rolled off of its hidden tongue and straight into your face. As much as you should’ve been shaking in your boots, you kept complete eye contact with the beast and bared your own teeth at it. It darkened its facial features and shoved you flush with the tree behind you.
An sound of terror was cut off. The whites of your eyes evident. The only thing you could do was stare up at the creature as it leaned and opened up its four fangs.
Death was closing in fast.
A piercing scream scratched at your throat. You wormed around and did everything in your power to escape. It wasn’t enough.
In a blink of an eye, an arrow stuck its way through the head of the beast. Somehow, some way, you doubled your efforts at the troubling sight before you.
The beast stayed on its feet and held you firm to the tree. Yet, as the seconds ticked by, the grip it held on you began to fall away. Then, the beast collapsed at your feet and nearly dragged you down with it. You fell down to your knees and gawked at the dead humanoid figure before you. Another scream tearing at your vocal cords.
Familiar but not, clicks and grunts vocalized to your right. It dragged your attention and pulled you from your scrambled thoughts.
Olive green but half the size of the beast that was just killed before you stood at the edge of the camp. It had a metal, silver mask attached to the bottom of its face. You recognized the shape of the head. This thing was a smaller version of the beast at your knees. You inhaled sharply and picked up yourself from the ground to sprint away.
Heat pressed to your back at the first away from the half-sized beast. You frozen on the spot then slowly tipped up your head.
Though it was only the underside, you saw familiar features and knew instantly to run. This thing towered over you like a redwood to a pine tree. Your feet were acting faster then your brain could catch up. They took a good ten feet from the larger creature before you snapped back and landed roughly on your back. All the air in your lungs knocked, causing you to gasp with a cry.
The collar sliced a deeper cut into your throat. Thick, liquid of crimson dribbled down from the newly added wound in your stupor. You cried at the wound and sat up while attempting to feel at the cut.
You weren’t given much time to collect yourself when a heavy shadow fell over your battled form. Your eyes snapped up within a second to find the same frame of the massive beast. A whimper surged pass your lips. You scrambled backwards but this was the end of your leash. There was no escape. You were to meet your end.
Metal bit into the back of your fragile neck. Your chest heaved with each inhale and exhale, consuming all the air around you. But the beast didn’t move.
Off to your right, the miniature creature bounced over to the tower creature and stood at its side. By the looks of it, the olive-green figure was a young version of these creatures.
Young and full of life, it wavered side to side. But the larger one gave a single snarl that instantly had it tensing up. The little one bowed its head with submission and stood like a statue now.
Their attention returned your trembling form. The dark, dirty mint colored creature took a single step forward and crowded into your space more than before. You sobbed harder and struggled more against your bindings, but they barely even croaked under the strain. It crouched down and grasped the base of your collar. Your hand shot out and ensnared its wrist, but your fingers didn’t even touch the other tips.
It tugged you towards itself. A scream ripping from your lungs as you kicked and squirmed. The thing didn’t struggled. Its other hand was brought forward and grabbed at your collar.
A click sounded. You fell to the ground.
Fresh air brushed against blood and sweat slicked skin of your neck. Instantly, your hand reached up and brushed the dark bruises and cuts that lined your throat. Pain surged forward at the touch. But the collar was gone.
Your jaw slackened while gazing upon the figure leaning far into your space. Half of the fear that filled your veins washed away. Was this a trick? Or trading one monster for another? Unknowns you had no clue on which one was worse. The only thing you could do for the moment was watch and wait for the thing to either move on or act.
An attack never came.
The beast reached out with mindful movements and ran rough fingertips along the wound that incircles your throat. You believed it could feel the thundering beat of your heart like a bird’s wings in takeoff.
There was a moment of stillness t that caused your heart rate to skyrocket even higher. Then, the fingers fell away. Its elbow rested on its thunderous thigh while it peered down at you with eyes that never blinked.
“Thank you,” you whispered in the quiet night air to your savior. You prayed it could understand your words and take the appreciation so it did not end you here and now.
“You are free.” Words tumbled from the creature’s alien mouth. In such a state of shock of ready, you couldn’t react much more than blinking in silence.
It stayed sat on its haunches while looking at you expectingly. When you did not move, it spoke again. “You are free.” Repeated.
Behind it, the younger creature stepped closer and peered over its bigger companions shoulder. Its eyes a cyan but dark with the little light, not even from the moon. It chittered. The one before you grunted sharply. The small figure backed off with a roll of its eyes. Was this a parent and child combo? Their behavior to one another resembled it.
The lumbering giant grunted again. A scaly palm was offered to you in the low light. “Take.” You find its eyes again. They were dark but you saw the purple that colored them.
In the middle of nowhere, surrounded by what had to be miles upon miles of forest, your chances of survival were slim to none. A fact well known and prominent in your mind.
Yet, while you gaze upon this figure and possibly child, you didn’t know where that life would lead you. Though, you know it was better chances than what the forest would offer. Your eyes flickered down to its massive palm once before coming to a decision.
Your hand fell into its own, easily engulfed. The creature gave a short grunt and pulled you to your wobbly legs. A nodded was given to you and the child. Then, it turned on its heel and began to carve path through the forest. The smaller one gave you a look that you didn’t understand and bounced after its possibly parent.
Last in line, you stumbled after the duo.

—Radiant You—
➶➶ Fem!reader x Toji Fushiguro
Tumblr media
➶➶ I love you so.
a/n: I don't know what this is but anyways.
Tumblr media
Toji Fushiguro was a romantic, everything changed when his one and only love, the mother to his son, the reason he smiled everyday, vanished like nothing from his life. Leaving like a cold breeze, as the leaves started falling, as his life was slowly crumbling. Leaving behind her only son with her lover when she left.
Megumi needed motherly love, someone who will love him the way he does. For him he decides to marry once again. Unknowingly it was you that came into his life, his childhood friend, that he forgot but you didn't. Because he was the one you loved all along in your past.
'I loved this man, he was tall and muscular, I liked to run my hands through the soft hair of his. Even though it was when we were younger. I still remember how he cried, big gobbles of shiny tears started to pour from his eyes while he tried to keep up the stern look on his face, when he tripped over his leg and cut his lips, that didn't seem like it would fade when healed. I didn't bother helping him, for some reason I knew he wouldn't like that. And tripped myself intentionally when he turned my way to see me lying on my face on the ground as he laughed like he didn't trip in the first place. Getting myself up, we were both laughing at the end. I wonder if he remember this too? Maybe he doesn't.'
Even looking at him fills your heart with warmth you craved from him. Everything changed when he moved away but you were still hooked on him, wondering how this feeling would fade away soon, It did not. Maybe it was fate how it led both of you to this situation.
Tumblr media
“You need to marry her, Toji” the rough, worn out voice from old age told him in an admitting manner while the old man looked up to meet his gaze
“Just because my wife died doesnt mean I have to marry again.” The muscular man said, trying to fight back for himself. He didn't want this.
“I'll manage by myself” he added.
“Megumi’s turning 2, you know? He needs a mother.” The old man said while looking down. Toji didn't have anything to say to that. He knew Megumi needed a mom, he needed to understand the love of the parents, unlike him. Megumi deserves it.
The geezer tapped Toji’s shoulder in an assuring way and left him there. The big house felt like it was the loneliest it ever was when the elderly man left. Lost in thoughts, silence all around him.
He made his decision, For Megumi.
As he was walking back to his room, his mind was occupied with so many things about how he will make all of this work. He couldn't see himself with another woman other than her. He couldn't do this to her. He came to a stop when his mind was screaming that this wasn't the right thing. But in a corner of his mind, the darkness that will wrap around his son, scared him. He would do anything for him. After all he is his blessing. His Megumi.
When he reached his room, he saw Megumi playing with his toys. He was also biting one of those small racing cars, quickly bending down to pick Megumi up, Toji took the car away from his small but strong grasp. Megumi looked at his father before his eyes filled with tears while holding himself back from crying.
Toji closed his eyes, his brows furrowing, his forehead bumping gently to his son’s while he held him closer to him as he whispered softly, “Im sorry, Gumi.”
Tumblr media
“I'm here!!!!” Shoko barged inside your room, yelling, while you were halfway through the make up. The make-up artists gave her a look when she startled them including you.
She rubbed the back of her head as she bowed at them. She tiptoed to your side and started talking, “Aren't you excited??, It's finally your marriage!” she squealed like she was the one getting married.
“I thought you were going to die alone” she joked while she threw her head back and laughed. You couldn't help but chuckle looking at her.
The thought of being with your long lost love was like a dream come true for you. Like the true love that was meant to be, like in fairy tales and novels. It was a fuzzy feeling that bubbled up inside your chest.
You had heard about the death of Toji’s late wife. Which left you devastated, because you knew how much he loved her. The last time you saw him was with her. With the brightest smile plastered on his face. When he left to be with her, he was the happiest he ever was.
'He was always hard on himself. Trying to learn better, do better, be the first at everything by himself. I was only a friend to him, but now i don't know if i was even a friend. When she appeared in his life. She read him better than I could ever do. To him, she was a whole book written only for him, I was a mere chapter in his life. Which was left unread.'
You thought he was better off without you interfering in his life. After all, you couldn't even tell him about how you actually felt. You didn't want to take her place, it wasn't supposed to be like this. This didn't feel right, He loved her. Not you.
The smile that was visible on your face slowly faded when you remembered what it was like back then.
“You okay?” Shoko asked you, which snapped you back to reality. The smile coming back to your face as you nodded at her.
“Are you nervous? Of course you are! I would be if i were you!” She scoffed, and let herself lay down on the couch beside her. Shoko was that one friend you needed your whole life. Who lit up your world just with their presence.
The make-up was done and you were finally ready for the marriage, physically, but mentally you weren't so sure. She was right, the thought of facing Toji again makes you nervous and tipsy. It was only some days before your marriage that you understood that he had a 3 year old son named Megumi. You weren't surprised that he had a son but right now you were looking forward to seeing the little guy more than his father.
Tumblr media
You were already so nervous and your heart was beating fast as you took each step forward. When the drapes opened, as the light spilled towards you, revealing the man you were expecting to see, the same dark eyes just like how you remember, looked up and stared at you. With the black suit that fit him well, the smooth black hair falling over his eyes, the same scar on his lips took you back to your childhood. As you looked down to see, the baby boy who was holding the finger of his father so tightly as he looked at you in wonder, his eyes widening.
He looked so much like him, you thought as you got closer and closer to him. To your new life and world.
You saw a woman taking Megumi away from Toji, he was calm, just like his father. Toji stretched his hand towards you and you took it, holding the dress up to step up on the platform.
As the ceremony went smoothly, you still couldn't shake the thought of how his lips freezed before he kissed you and the feeling of the ring on your finger felt too foreign and strange. You stood close to him, both of you standing still as both of your families did the talking.
Someone handed Megumi back to Toji. He picked him up, Megumi’s eyes were on you, asking who this woman was? You found yourself looking up at him, it was too hard to ignore him that you ended up smiling and waving at him. Megumi waved back quickly, that gesture made your heart flutter because of how cute he was. Toji quickly noticed you staring, raising an eyebrow when he looked at you. Not knowing what to do, you smiled falteringly.
He let Megumi down and Toji nodded at him when he looked up at his father like he needed to say something before he came up to you. You sat down on your knees, looking at him, you smiled. Maybe he was afraid, afterall you are a stranger to him.
Toji did the same and sat down beside you, “It's okay buddy, come here.” he assured his son, Megumi came up to his dad, when you stretched your palm up to him, he hesitated but he took it. When he did, your eyes widened and you shook his small hand, a faint smile appeared on Toji, as you mumbled some sweet things to Megumi but it disappeared just the way it appeared.
Everything happened fast you would say, Megumi was still afraid to get closer to you, he hid behind his dad, peeping at you through his legs, but when you noticed him, he would go back to hiding. He would grab onto the fabric of the cloth his dad is wearing and follow him wherever he goes and eventually Toji will pick him up.
After the long day of marriage, the day was ending. Handful of flowers and gifts on both of your hands, praises all around you while the two of you nodded and smiled.
He was the one who was riding the car, you assumed you were finally entering his life, as his wife. If you were your younger self at this moment, you would've passed away already but right now, you couldn't even understand what you were feeling.
You could see Megumi sitting inside the baby car seat, dozing off. He looked adorable while his eyes blinked slowly, almost falling asleep.
Toji took a turn and pulled over and exited the car, he looked around his pocket for the keys and opened the door of the house and came back to open the trunk of the car and carried some of the gifts inside the house as you got outside and closed the car’s door.
You wanted to help Toji with the stuff but you didn't want to leave Megumi alone, you picked him up gently as he was fast asleep to notice who picked him up. You held him closer to your chest and walked inside the house.
Toji eyed you as you came inside with his son clinging on to you. He quickly put the stuff down and appeared in front of you and said,
“I'll tuck him into bed” he hurriedly took his son from your hands and mumbled something under his breath that you couldn't make out but you nodded anyway. After the whole marriage, since the moment you met him again, this was the first time he talked to you after all these years.
As you were standing and looking around, Toji came back, walking up to you. He suddenly started talking now,
“This marriage was for Megumi. Only for him.” he admitted.
“I know that was sudden but, I hope you understand.” he said as he avoided eye contact with you. You nodded again, not knowing what to say. What were you expecting in the first place anyway?
Toji wanted a mother for Megumi, not a wife.
'Of course, he still loves her. I would’ve loved her too if i was him.'
He introduced you to the things that happen in the house and about Megumi, most of the conversation was awkward and broken.
Your first relationship, first marriage, you realised you were back to the person who you once were in your past. With the same person who caused you so much trouble and happiness.

Jon & Sansa | Winter in my Heart
youtube
I am simply obsessed with these 2. All the Metas and Fan Fiction from you beautiful kindred souls makes me feel so alive! I appreciate each and everyone of you. @istumpysk and @esther-dot @starwarsprincess1986 @sherlokiness @stormcloudrising , you guys give me LIFE with your Metas.
I'm more of a book fan because the show did these characters no justice. We all know WHY. I hope you guys are ok with me posting all these sappy videos. Im sort of new to Tumblr, and I love it here. When I heard about the Kit and Sofie movie set at the time of "war of the roses" I became even more obsessed with Jon and Sansa.
They are obviously giving it away with this movie and trying to get the "Anti's" to get comfortable with the fact that these 2 are inevitable. Before Sansa appeared at Castle Black and even before the show begin I always wondered what the deal was with these 2. It just didn't make any sense, or as someone else put it: "Jon and Sansa are the LOUDEST SILENCE". I ALWAYS had that feeling that the girl in grey would be her. There isn't a single doubt in my mind.
I think something horrible will go down in the Vale and the Blackfish will help Sansa some sort of way to get to Jon. I read many Metas where they say Jon will come back from the dead a mindless beast, and he will have no POV. That's just impossible. Our main character/HERO a mute stuck in a wolf.
First of all I don't think Jon is dead AT ALL. I believe he is hanging on by a string due to blood loss and shock and possibly in a coma like Bran was at the beginning of the series. He will warg Ghost and find out many things about himself through Ghost while his friends (the wildings) nurse him back to life. Though VAL is not one of my favorite characters, some say she is a healer. That could be good for Jon.
Melsandra will probably burn Shrinee anyway because she thinks Stannis is dead. I also think Jon was drugged before the stabbings. The way he spoke of clumsily trying to retrieve LongClaw, and he just gave me a weird vibe. I DO NOT TRUST Satin guys. I know everyone loves him but if Jon were drugged, Satin always provided the drinks. Maybe I'm reaching too far, but that's just my gut feeling. Satin is Judas.
Cerci Lannister had plans on taking Jon off the Chess Board as well, so there is no telling if she orchestrated the whole thing or not. Whatever happens, it's gonna be real UGLY when Jon wakes up. Jon Snow as we knew him is definitely DEAD and died in the snow. The real BEAST is what we will have left of Jon. He will make the Hound look like a little poodle dog.
I do also believe he will be in those woods as Ghost while Sansa is being chased by Ramsay's hounds. He will definitely kill them all including whomever is with the dogs. There was a passage in the books if I remember correctly how when Ghost was a pup, and he was eating. A dog approached to try and steal his prize. Jon said the Dog was much bigger than Ghost, but all Ghost had to do was look at her and she ran away. Ghost got right back to his prize.
I've always wondered if that was a foreshadowing for Ghost fighting the hounds. Another thing, WHERE do Ghost go when Jon wonders of his whereabouts? Well, I'm almost done here Jonsa family. I hope I'm not boring you guys to death with this long book of a post I am writing.
I DO believe Sansa is the Girl in Grey and I'll die by that. I also think that after Ghost!Jon saves her, Brianne and Jamie or Brianne and Company will get her to Castle Black. The dying horse in my opinion is not a real Horse. It could be a person. We've already had the real dying horse with Alyas. Sansa doesn't have to be dressed in Grey either because so many other things links her to Grey.
I remember she had a green cloak in Kings Landing that belonged to the hound and if I'm not mistaken she also got on the boat with LF with that cloak on. Where is it? I do not know.
Anyway, Sansa will arrive at Castle Black shortly after Jon wakes up from his coma (refuse to believe he died and actual death) People will SAY he rose from the dead as they did Sansa when she left Kings Landing. It will be a myth, but people will believe it. Jon will NOT be the same. I believe he will have all of his memories which preserved in Ghost but he will become "THE BEAST" After he has "killed the boy." He would have tapped into his powers and possibly converse with Bran and Bloodraven.
Jon will probably forget what happened in the woods and in his wolf dreams but he will have the shock of his life to see Sansa Stark of ALL people come through those gates. She's come to the end of the world to seek HIM out. He will realize it was the wrong sister he almost got murdered behind.
Everyone will fear him at Castle Black. He will be a cold blooded killer with no humanity left until she walks through those gates. It's a craving Jon had (to see her again) but he kept that to himself. We know this from Ygritte, Alays and Val. He was looking for Sansa in all these women, and now the real deal stands right before him.
I'm not saying it's going to be an easy journey, but she will be the ONLY ONE to calm the beast. Jon will protect her of course (or steal her) but he will be mean to Sansa at first. He will eventually fall madly in love with her and vice versa. She will sing to him, annoy him, anger him, pacify him and Jon won't know what hit him.
They will fall in love because of what they both endured. Jon will be OVER protective of Sansa in the books, possibly locking her up in a tower like Stannis has Val, but this time there is a real princess in the tower that Jon WANTS to steal. I know I've reached my limits here. I am sorry for rambling or any errors, I'm just so happy to have ran across you fine people. If I didn't tag someone is because I don't remember the names and I'm still fairly new on Tumblr.
You guys are the BEST!

Frankie and f!reader are in a long term relationship, no kids. He has been home and decommissioned for a while and is really enjoying civie life. Reader keeps him happy in the bedroom and well fed and stuffed with his favorite foods in the kitchen. Over time, the guys begin to notice Frankie is getting a fuller frame/bigger belly (cloths fitting not the same) and Frankie notices that reader really likes the extra Frankie she has on her hands now. Maybe he’s a little self conscious at first, but begins to enjoy his new figure.
this is so cuteeeee also I made this longer than I meant too lol

warnings: insecurity from frankie
Tumblr media
The first thing Frankie noticed as he got ready for guys night was that his jeans were too tight. The effort it took to get them buttoned was more than usual and he didn't even need a belt.
He didn't think much of it. Until he got to the bar and the boys got a few drinks in. With loosened inhibitions it was Santi who brought it up first.
"Civilian life treating you well Cat?" He pokes Frankie's stomach and the group laughs. Frankie swats his hand away and swear at him.
"Jealous Pope? I got a loving girlfriend and you got what? An empty apartment?" He shoots back. No malice in his words as everyone laughs it off.
"Her cooking is to die for, I don't blame you for putting on a few pounds."
The conversation moves on after that but that stuck with Frankie for the rest of the night. Had he been gaining weight? I mean yeah but not that much right? As he gets home he takes off his shirt and jeans and climbs into bed next to you. His arm wrapping around your waist and you snuggle into him half asleep. He drifts asleep, head filled with thoughts about you.
It's too early when he wakes up.
The sun peaking through the curtains shines directly into his eyes. To his dismay you're already gone. The clattering of pans from downstairs signals that you aren't far though. He groans as he stretches his arms and gets out of bed.
Heading into the bathroom he gets a good look at himself in the mirror. The fleeting conversation with pope still lingering in the back of his mind.
Standing to the side he pokes at his stomach. He holds his arms, and he sees what everyone else apparently sees. He's not as fit as he used to be.
When he was in Delta Force he worked out and ate less. It's been years since he served and now he's just contractor. Sure its not easy work but its not the same.
If Santi noticed this then there's no way you didn't. Why haven't you said anything? Frankie wants to be his best for you and this, this isn't his best. Throwing on a shirt and some sweatpants he heads downstairs. The smell of waffles fills the kitchens and Frankie can't help but drool. He loves waffles.
"Hey there baby." You say happily as you slide a plate of waffles with whipped cream over to him.
"Made your favorite." Your always so sweet to him. There's not a day goes by that Frankie isn't thankful for you in his life. His stomach rumbles but he looks down and grimaces.
"Thank you sweetheart but I have to pass today." He hates the way your face falls as he slides the plate back to you.
"Why don't you eat this and I'll clean up." He walks over and squeezes your hips gently before shooing you out of the kitchen.
You're left confused as you watch him clean the dishes. He loves your waffles, he never turns them down.
"So...I was thinking that we could finally try that snickerdoodle cookie recipe my grandma gave me." You offer, knowing how much he loves those cookies. He nods but it's what he says next that sets off alarm bells in your head.
"Sure, but I was thinking of heading to the gym today so can we do it after?" Now, you have nothing against Frankie going to the gym but he hasn't gone in years. Plus he denies morning waffles? Somethings wrong. Walking over you shut off the faucet and cross your arms.
"Alright what's wrong?" He shakes his head and waves you off.
"Nothing's wrong. Just felt like going to the gym."
"Francisco Morales do not lie to me." He shivers at the sound of his full name. Your intense stare refuses to break and he folds. Sighing he runs his fingers through his hair and looks down.
"I'm out of shape. I don't look the same as before." It makes you angry to hear him talk about himself like that.
"You mean when you were eating rations and putting your body through hell?" You counter and he looks to argue but you don't let him.
"Frankie baby, I love you. I love seeing you happy and relaxed. If that means you put on some extra weight then who cares." You cup his face and pull him into a sweet kiss.
"Got it?" Frankie smiles, covering your hands with his own. How did he get so lucky? He just needs you to take away any negative thoughts in his head.
"I love you." He mumbles as he pecks your lips. His stomach rumbles louder this time and it makes you giggle. You pick up the plate and hand it to him.
"Besides Frank, you look sexy in sweatpants."

.:. A Ghost's Embrace .:.
Tumblr media
Even though the rest of Task Force 141 understood that you were in fact with Simon, the two of you never displayed any affection in public. Feelings were dangerous and a liability in your line of work, having that information slip into an enemy's hand was a death sentence. And even though you and Simon had this agreement, he couldn't help but want to show everyone you're his, especially when Konig found comfort in your presence and would always be by your side. And it certainly didn't help when Price had paired you and Konig up for several upcoming missions. Ghost said nothing at the announcement, but his death glare was obvious.
The mission was successful, but not without civilian casualties and bloody injuries. An enemy had come up from behind you through the window, so you pushed yourself backward and out, the two of you tumbling down the roof. The plan was to use him as a cushion for your fall, the plan didn't involve him getting impaled on a steel rod and you barely able to move in time. The sharp protrusion sliced through your side like a hot knife. The gash was deep and the blood wouldn’t stop pouring, causing your vision to go blurry and dizzy. König grabbed your vest and pulled you to the side behind a concrete cover. Labored breaths left your lips. From all the screams the Austrian had heard in his military past, yours was the most heartbreaking when he secured the tourniquet around your midriff to keep you from bleeding out. Soap and Ghost showed up at the last minute to dispense the rest of the enemy soldiers, Ghost kneeling beside you.
»Simon,« he could see the fear in your eyes, he could hear it in your voice. »I don’t wanna die, Simon.«
»You won’t, sweetheart.«
The doctors in the Los Vaqueros infirmary worked tirelessly on your wound, making sure to keep you alive and stable, but you hadn’t woken up in a week, which was beginning to worry them and your teammates. And even though Ghost didn’t show his worry, he was internally panicking. He needed you in his life. You were the only sane part of his insane lifestyle, he couldn’t lose you.
You wake up attached to a machine that monitors your heartbeat. It shows a slight increase in speed as you wake up from your neverending slumber but quickly goes back to its regular rhythm. The hospital room is crude in design, you assume you’re in some army base hospital rather than an actual hospital. Your side is stitched and bandaged, and you can’t even feel the pain, but that must be due to the painkillers in your system. They make the room spin slightly as you stare at the ceiling. You wonder how long you’ve been out cold, are the others still here, or did they continue their lives and missions like nothing happened.
The door opens and reveals a woman in a white coat, her long brown hair tied in a high ponytail. Her eyes connect with yours and her serious expression changes to a wide smile.
»You gave us quite a scare, Mrs. Ri- sorry, I was told you prefer your call sign; Shock. I’m Josele Martinez, the chief medical doctor.«
Nodding absentmindedly, you wonder what she wanted to say before she corrected herself. Maybe she confused you with another patient, that could happen if the hospital is busy.
»How are you feeling?«
»Tired, like I was run over by a truck. And high.«
»We had to dose you with medication, even in your coma your heart was going crazy from the pain. You mind if I look at the wound?«
You slip your legs from underneath the covers and over the side of the bed, lifting your hospital gown enough for her to check.
»You’ll be good as new in a few weeks. It missed your vital organs.«
She changes the bandages and you take a few deep breaths to keep from moving too much. You ask her where you are and if anyone else is here as well.
»Yeah, Task Force 141 just came back with Alejandro.«
»I want to see them.«
She leads you down several corridors, your ears picking up a conversation between Ghost and the others when you’re near the mess hall. A man with a Spanish accent seems to be the loudest. Josele opens the door, all their eyes suddenly on her. Alejandro was just about to ask what the emergency is when you appear from behind her. Soap and Price smile in greeting, happy you’re finally among the living. A large smile adorns your bruised features and it’s what prompts Ghost to wrap his arms around you.
You snuggle into the warmth his strong body provides, your own hands on his chest. You hear him breathe in your scent and you do the same, exhaling a blissful sigh. He believed he would never hear or feel you again, a burden suddenly lifting from his shoulders.
Later that evening and after several meetings with the doctor almost calling you something other than your nickname, you get a visit from Ghost. He sits down beside your bed and rises you from your slumber. You turn the bedside lamp on and sit up, a tired smile on your face.
»You’re staying here for another week, no missions.« He sees you’re about to protest and hums, »that’s an order.«
A chuckle escapes your lips, »you know my rank is higher than yours, right?«
His gloved hand caresses your cheek, »I need you safe.«
His words make your heart melt, leaning into him for comfort. The door suddenly opens and a nurse enters, carrying some medication for you. She addresses you by your last name, except it’s not yours. Ghost goes rigid. The nurse finally leaves and you look at Simon.
»Riley, huh? I don’t remember marrying you.«
For a long moment, Ghost says nothing. For the first time in his life, he’s too afraid to look you in the eyes, too afraid to say something because his voice would betray him. You gently pull his mask off and touch his cheek, blue eyes now watching your every move. Closing the gap between you two, lips almost touching, you breathe out a single word. Ghost reacts by pressing his lips to yours.
»Yes.«

Arranged Marriage - part 3
Tumblr media
Part 2 Part 4
God, Anon, you have literally the best ideas ! You are very welcome for part 2, and I was overjoyed with your request for part 3. Sorry for the waiting, I finished my exams and then couldn't stop playing hogwarts legacy.
The day you gave birth was the most painful yet happy day of your life.
Nothing could compare to the love and happiness you felt when you took your little girl in your arms for the first time.
It was the first time you saw Leonora smiling that brightly without any kind of torture being involved.
Your mother and father were so content with becoming grandparents that they even hugged the evil dean.
You were shocked when Leonora reciprocated the embraces ( slightly awkward but it was a huge character development, and everybody acknowledged that ).
Leonora was smiling with the brightest smile you had ever seen on her face. Her chest was full of pride, and her lips were formed in a wide grin as she presented your little girl to your parents and Clarissa ( who came because she was the closest to family Leonora had ).
Your mother was crying from joy while your father kissed the baby's temple with a fond smile on his face.
Clarissa, who was looking at the little one from your mother's shoulder, couldn't hide her excitement.
Watching this beautiful scene unfolding, Leonora walked to you, kissing your cheek. " You did a wonderful job today, darling. It's high time you rested. "
You nodded, relaxing to the pillows underneath you. " Yes, I'm so tired, but - "
" There are no buts. I will let them play with her for a little while, then take her, wash her, and treat her like the princess she is. " Leonora assured you pecking your lips. " Sleep well, love. "
And you felt Morpheus engulfing you in no time.
꧁☾︎❥︎☽︎꧂
Three years came to pass faster than you ever thought.
Watching your little one grow was the best experience you will ever get to experience.
To your great surprise, Leonora was a great mother.
For the evil dean, you always thought that she would leave you raise the child.
You couldn't be more wrong.
Leonora wouldn't only require she spend the whole evening in her office with your little girl on her lap, but she would also insist on being present when you were readying your daughter for sleep.
Leonora loved her baby girl more than anything.
You feared that when your girl would grow old enough to have a relationship, Leonora wouldn't hesitate to do another murder if the person broke her heart.
Not that you would try to keep her at bay, of course...
You were fixing your hair when you heard Leonora's voice outside the bedroom.
" Darling, have you seen my coat ? " Your wife shouted.
You looked around the bedroom. Leonora was used to forgetting her coat on top of the bed or on the armchair near her side of bed.
Nothing.
You titled your hair to the side, confused as you got up from your place in front of the vanity.
Unbelievable.
If she could not find it near the door and you could not see it here... Could it be inside her closet ?
You opened the door and quickly searched inside.
Leonora, who didn't hear any response coming from you, came into the room.
She looked at you while you searched the closet. " So ? " She asked you.
You shook your head. " Maybe you have forgotten it in your office ? You can have another one, though."
The dean of evil huffed in annoyance. " There's no way. I swear that I left it on the sofa. "
You sighed, closing your eyes in frustration. " What the hell ? "
Leonora smiling because you weren't prone to curse, shrugged. " I don't know. "
Then, little footsteps were heard. You exchanged a look with your wife awaiting your daughter's arrival.
Leonora knelt in front of the open floor, ready to welcome your little princess.
And then your little one appeared, leaving both of you speechless.
The tiny redhead was wearing her mother's coat, trying to mimick her.
" I'm Leonoya Leyo. " She said with the best stern face she could muster while pointing her little finger at the dean of evil.
The real Leonora Lesso smiled at the little human in front of her before quickly wrapping her hands around her daughter and pulling her on her lap.
The little girl laughed as her mother washed her with kisses. " Mo- Mommy. " She whined between her laughter.
You giggled, joining them on the floor and kissing the top of both of their fluffy, curly, red hair.
Your daughter reached out to you, and in no time, Leonora had wrapped her right hand around your waist and attacking both you and your little one with her lips.
Your kid clapped her hands together, enjoying every bit of her mother's attention.
Everybody thought that Leonora would love no one.
They couldn't be more wrong.

So, I love to watch videos of people reacting for the first time to movies. Almost every time I’ve watched people reacting to The Godfather movies, I’ve noticed that a large chunk of people (especially men, true, but surprisingly a LOT of women) all hate or strongly dislike Kay. Even growing up, both my parents disliked Kay lol, I remember.
It’s surprising to me, as I like all the women in the trilogy (yes, even Mary! Her character is sweet and affectionate, and I love how close she is with her dad!), and I always did like Kay…though I admit, I simply don’t like her with Michael after he decides to join the family business. Apollonia would have been the best fit. Besides, in Part 3, Michael sobs when Anthony sings the love song and thinks of Apollonia and their wedding even years later. And he chooses to return to Sicily to sit and brood/die in the place where they spent time together. That says it all, for me.
I can't say I've spent a lot of time on whether or not I liked Kay or Apollonia or both or neither in relation to these films. I remember watching the second film with my mother, and when the dancing scene between Michael and Kay came up, she said: "Hm. She's frightened."
I do find it surprising how many people make it about liking or not liking either or both of Michael's wives, when discussing the films as a whole. Kay doesn't fit into the mob world, that's the whole point of her, that's why Michael chose her initially, and that's why the audience may not like her - she sticks out like a sore thumb. She shouldn't be there. She agrees! That has nothing to do with how good she would have been for Michael. I do like Kay, the girl has guts. And I think that Apollonia and Michael would have made a fantastic mob marriage.
Michael ghosted Kay, and that is a shit way to break up whatever the circumstances, and by rights, they should have stayed broken up. Michael would have been nothing but a cad boyfriend who turned into a criminal, so people would have said she dodged a bullet.
Ah, but it isn't that simple, is it. If you share your time and love with someone, there will always be some form of bond. Whether or not you act on it is a completely different matter, and I feel Michael should have started fresh, and left Kay the hell alone. He could have written to break up, thank her and tell her to build a life without her. Or simply let her be one of those sacrifices you make, the same he later asks of Vincent. This life isn't good for Kay.
Would it have been good for Apollonia? I think she might have been more familiar with the codes of mob life, I think both Vito and Carmella would have adored her, I think it could have worked out beautifully. She probably wouldn't have felt the need to escape, or that the American life was better than what she left, she wouldn't feel so torn because she knew her roots. Maybe her children may have felt less at ease, but their father would have grown up completely American and helped them.
But it was not to be. Michael already gave up Kay for the life, and I believe him when he says he thought of her. And I believe in love at first sight with Apollonia, and he lost her, and I feel that if Apollonia is gone completely, maybe he can rekindle the love bond with Kay? And he does, under force, and they spend more time as husband and wife, and of course this strengthens that bond as well. But Kay is unhappy, so she breaks it off this time, and yet Michael refuses to let go of that bond (who do you think Mary gets it from)?
Apollonia and Michael is more romantic, less stressful - the fairytale his mob life cannot be. Kay is more realistic. They share a strong young love, and later, at Michael's absolute insistence, a very painful marriage, and Michael loves her and he loves Apollonia because I think that this is something that can happen. You can love two different people, if you want -widowed people do love again, and that doesn't negate the love they lost. Now of course, there may be sexism going on. A woman should simply be pretty and quiet, huh? Do we know a single of Apollonia's opinions other than her wanting to drive and not wanting to bother with English? Whereas Kay actually challenges Michael the way a wife has a right to challenge her spouse! And some people don't want to challenge their spouse and that is fine too! The point is that a marriage should work between two people and Michael's and Kay's didn't and Kay was the one calling that long before Michael, if she does love him. And Michael does not want to give it up. It's tragic, but it isn't Kay's sole fault. Again, she did move on. She rejeced his proposal, or tried to, he didn't want to hear no, she left him, he won't let her be, because he can't let go of emotional bonds apparently.
And who is to say who Apollonia might have become? These films are so very rarely interested in the world of these women, only looking at them in how they affect the men. And that's fine, the films are about Michael. But it's unfair to reduce all the other characters as people to how they relate to Michael. I promise you, if anyone ever made a biopic of my father, you wouldn't get to know everything there is to know about me simply by watching how I relate to him, or vice versa. People are allowed to exist however good they are, or not, for other people.
