Seasons Greetings Legacy Challenge

Hello! My name's Levi and I decided I wanted to start blogging some of my Sims gameplay in an attempt to connect more with the Sims community. The current save I'm focusing on that I figured would be good to start with due to it being fairly new is the Seasons Greetings Legacy Challenge, created by @lemonkate This is a really cute legacy challenge where each generation represents a different month of the year and has a ruleset that is solid enough to give you a bit of a push in the right direction, but not so rigid that you can't make your sims and their stories unique and true to yourself and your style of gameplay.

Catching Up With December

While this save is still fairly new, I have made a bit of progress in it and feel that it would be a bit disingenuous to post everything that already happened as if it's currently happening, so I figured with this post I'll give a bit of an overview on what's already happened to catch everyone up to speed so that future posts don't cause confusion.

Eira Winters

This is my founder/December sim, Eira Winters. Eira is Welsh for snow, so I figured it was a cute and creative name for such a wintery girl. Especially because I kinda phoned it in with her last name 😂 Eira aspires to have a big happy family. She is generous, loyal, and cheerful. She's OBSESSED with the Christmas season and it shows in her home decor.

Eira loves baking and is so confident with her skills in the kitchen that she insists on getting by solely by selling her delicious treats. It can be a bit of a grind at times, but seeing the smile on her patrons' faces after they take a bite of one if her desserts makes it all worthwhile.

Love at First Bite

Not everything was all pies and cupcakes though. Eira had a massive heart and nobody to share it with. That is, until a kindhearted woman with slightly calloused hands happened to cross her path.

Geeta was just another customer at Eira's dessert table. That didn't stop Eira from immediately becoming smitten by her however. There was something about the way that Geeta carried herself that piqued her interest. The obvious strength in her physical presence, but paired with a soft spoken demeanor and gentle disposition that made it clear she would never hurt a fly. She ordered a blueberry bagel. They talked about their passions. Geeta liked to make nectar. Before Eira knew it, Geeta was asking her on a date and the rest is history. They had a beautiful wedding (which I unfortunately don't have any pictures of because my computer decided it didn't want to hold them in my screenshot folder for some reason 🙃) After Geeta moved in, the 2 of them pooled their money together and built a nectar shed for Geeta as well as an extra room to their home. Their plan was to work hard and save up their money to put together a nursery and have a science baby together.

Noemi Is Born

It took a bit of patience and a LOT of hard work, but eventually they were able to furnish the nursery and bring home a bundle of joy. They created a beautiful baby girl that they named Noemi. She is their pride and joy. Stay tuned for future updates on the life of the Winters family ❤️😁

A Very Winters Birthday

As if things haven't been hectic enough, Noemi and Hunter ended up having their birthdays on the same day.

While Noemi wasn't too thrilled about having to share her birthday with her little brother, she quickly got over it once she got to makeover her new big girl bedroom.

Upon watching both of their children age up and having to move the crib into storage again, Eira and Geeta had a very deep conversation about the future. They both ended up agreeing that just one more little bundle of joy would make their family complete.

However, that will have to wait a bit. Poor Weenie got infested with fleas, and they really gotta take care of that. Luckily with the success of their business ventures, they can afford to get her the best treatment possible.

New project that I'm not dropping this time

ok so I have a history of dropping projects, I know it's bad but this one I've been really invested in

so backstory on this project, a couple months back I finally checked out the Ever After High webtoons and now I'm reading the books, boy did I get dragged into to this, which I have no issue with because I've always lover fairy tales (so the fact it took me till i was 16 to watch this is a shame especially cause I adored Monster high as a kid though in my defense i was very anti girly things as a child, something i very much am not anymore thanks to me be comfortably non-binary but that's a story for another day), basically this series along with monster high inspired me to make a comic i'm calling

The Tales Untold

or at least that's the working name, i feel it's not that original though, but i guess it's not as original as my personal project either, speaking of that, this is not just me working on this my best friend @lemonking00 is helping write/design/and draw this comic

so it's heavily inspired by ever after high is it a clone though? i like to think it's different enough but a bit of a synopsis might be for the best.

so basically the current idea is it's set in a world with literature of all kinds ranging from the obvious fairy tales, to old horror stories, and classical literature like the obvious choices of Alice in Wonderland, the Wizard of Oz, and Peter Pan, but other public domain stories like the Great Gatsby and Around the World in 80 days are also there (though due to my personal interest are mainly just for running gags and references), certain roles remain in families, usually fairy tale princesses and horror story monsters, villains are almost always different and side characters are rarely related (though not always not)

the story focuses on multiple characters living in this world of literature, the characters repeat the story and then live out their life but there's a bit more to it, one while they can avoid it it is rather difficult, the magic of the world basically actively tries to repeat the story, if they do avoid it nothing bad happens unless it's the third generation to skip where in that case they are forgotten, no one know what happens when you're forgotten so the bigger fairy tales actively try to make sure their stories repeat whether the kids want to or not, the horror stories have no fear because their stories change so drastically it doesn't matter what happens in their tale as long as it's written down who cares, and the classic just kinda exist, they either repeat (though usually try to tone down the more yikesy part of the original story though everyone does when it's not necessary) and if not they're in a sequel cause a lot of those stories have a lot of sequels

the story itself centers around the most recent cast/soon to be cast, with several fairy tales that are less than excited to go through their tales, the horror stories who don't care all that much but hey at least they're usually fun to be around, and some of the Wonderland kids who got sent to a school for general stories for being trouble makers and a bit too much for the adults of wonderland to deal with anymore

and the school, it's somewhat to help the students out with their future roles both in story and in general but like the headmaster is dead inside and p much lets the students do whatever, he was the writer for their grand parents, the writer basically writes down the stories and hopes the world accepts the telling.

there's a lot more to it but like you get the gist, i jokingly call it my ever after high rip off but the ideas i have for the plot are quite a bit different (doesn't mean i didn't borrow its idea for my version of little red and their family)
