What are your thoughts on using EJT’s IG pics as moodboard inspo? She’s recently posted a pic that legit looks like it could be AU Clarke and Lexa.

I just don’t know what the fandom feels about it. EJT is a snake. We know this. But some of these photos are top-notch Clexa AU inspo and I’m so conflicted 😐

Oh i don't see anything wrong with it, I mean she is the face of the character so if it fits the story then I don't see why not.

That being said, for me personally, it's so insanely hard to see Clarke in any of her recent pictures. Idk what happened she just... she doesn't look like herself anymore? It's almost like her face has changed somehow, but I can't quite put my finger on what exactly. I mean it's slimmer, to the point sometimes of maybe looking a bit gaunt depending on the shot/lighting/angle, but I don't think that's it. She just lacks the shine she used to more than anything. Like you're not gonna tell me this

Idk what it is. I know it could just be bias because of everything, but really it seems like her face is just different. Maybe the eyes? I feel like maybe the eyes look a bit... dead? Now? 😬 but yeah anyway, I think it's all fair use if it works for a story, I just personally have a hard time seeing Clarke in her face anymors

Heyyy I check this blog sometimes (after rereading) to see if you’ve posted an update for bad cop au and saw your post saying something along the lines of “if there’s still any of you readers out there.” Just wanted to let you know we’re still here and excited for when you update :) you’re writing is incredible and thank you for sharing it!

It's good to hear there's still Bad Cop readers out there, I know it's been a while 😬. I'm focussing on content for Wanheda's Dagger Week at the moment, but I definitely have not forgotten about Bad Cop!

I add to the new chapter every now and then. Answering prompts often gives me inspo, so I'm slowly getting back into it. The next chapter is Lexa meeting Clarke’s parents for the first time. It starts off wholesome and ends with Lexa railing Clarke to within an inch of her life. So normal Bad Cop stuff.

Lexa kom Trikru (The 100): Lexa's entire aesthetic and introduction was what made me get hyped about the show seeing as how she wasn't in the books. She was always interesting to me for how she commanded the respect of her people and was a visionary. She did what she needed to do even if people ended up hating her in the end. It was a trait I knew that Iza needed to have.

Eris, Goddess of Discord (Sinbad): Eris by far was one of my favorite villains and in the beginning even with Iza being hailed the Warrior of Light, she was indeed a villain. Eris is the true, pure representation of malevolence and deviance which after losing her entire family, that's who Iza became. In order to beat the Garleans she had to be just as ruthless, manipulative and intelligent as they were. They bought chaos into her life and she would return the favor BUT despite that she remained a woman of her word.

Evelyn O'Connell (formally Carnahan) (The Mummy): Evie's love of history, knowledge and adventure in general is another one of the bases of who Iza is at her core. She adapts that philosophy of "if she could touch something and see it, then it was real".

Avatar Kyoshi (Avatar the Last Airbender): Everyone knows Kyoshi as the "take no shit" Avatar and this is extremely true but she is also a person who was empathic, considerate, trusting and level-headed. She also suffered from low self-esteem and doubted her abilities to be a good avatar. To loved ones, she showed those soft traits. To the world, she is the direct, fierce and assertive woman we know and has always been an idol of mine. It would have been easy to pack on only good traits to the making of Iza but I wanted her to have hidden gems as well that only the most determined of people would find.

Naruto Uzumaki (Naruto): The entire story of Naruto from beginning to end is emotional and so inspiring. To be doubted and feared to loved and respected is something he earned through years of having one goal and dream. In many ways, Naruto and Iza are truly one and the same in that respect except the talking. Iza would much rather just beat someone's ass.

Lynn Wiles (Pulse): Lynn's personality of seeing life for what it is and having the ability to connect with everyone she meets while while being incredibly cheesy is who Iza was and who I hope to make her once again. It's one of the many things that has to be drawn out by the right people.

hi anon !! thank yew for this question !! so for writing inspo? i usually just go on tiktok and watch edits or just anything that pops up in my fyp that other people experienced that are funny or romantic ^^ if i get an idea, i write it down immediately and then come back to it when i keep thinking about it and go ‘i MUST write it’ if that makes any sense ^^! but for smaus? i’m going to write more in the future, but for now, i’m focusing on dream store and iced love letters, while also making the reqs people asked me !! then i’m opening my reqs again :>

here's the inspo for ch 44 and as a side note, you can blame @lexa-griffinsfor the visuals that led to the ideas for this chapter. but i mean. it worked out perfectly because i needed a pivotal moment and this fit in great.

so yeah, i hope this suffices as warning for emotional preparedness. because i, myself, am not prepared for it.

and yes!!! i loved WWDITS. i finished watching s4 today and s5 isn't on disney+ so ://. it might be my new favorite comedy. its insane and hilarious and so unhinged. a lot of the times i'm just like "this cannot be real". and no i haven't watched the og movie. but i definitely will, it also looks insane.

27. Who is the most stressful character you’ve ever written? Why?

Lexa always really stresses me out because she's so heavily nuanced and complex to me and I am always worried that I won't do her justice. That's why chapter 5 of my canon story is taking approximately 5,000 years to write. 😫

28. Who is the most delightful character you’ve ever written? Why?

I loved writing Anya in The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down. I always felt really cheated of Lexa/Anya interactions in canon and it brought me a lot of happiness to write snarky, sarcastic, Anya that clearly just cared so much about Lexa. Is she technically delightful? No. But she brings me joy to write. :)

29. Where do you draw your inspiration? What do you do when the inspiration well runs dry?

Honestly, I am still fairly new to this so inspo hits me everywhere. Music, movies, people's phenomenal moodboards (here's looking at you, @thecrimsonknight), rewatching clexa snippets. I wrote a few things for clextober recently lately because I adore Clexa AND Halloween so it was the perfect blend.

If I lose inspo, I usually go read other people's fics, just from a break of the monotony of my own brain as well. There's so many amazing Clexa writers so there's no shortage of choices, but I just reread @steklir 's A Great and Mighty Wonder and it felt like reading it for the first time all over again. I can't wait to read it again at Christmas. :)

here's the post with lexa's house. and here's the home adore listing for that house in real life, except that movie room is aden's playroom. if there's one thing i'd like to change though, it's aden's bedroom. i still like the montessori style bed and the little tent, but oh the sad beige vibes hurt me. consider it a LOT more colorful, something more like this (with A instead of B on the wall and the bed) than that black and white nightmare.
