 Even after all the time spent together, the sacrifices made for him  ( because of him ). Sebastian could not yet grasp the idea of someone having a love for fierce and deep for his very own self. The horrors of his actions still danced inside his mind and the lack of regret weighted heavy on his shoulder. Like a burden he did not dare to place on her. But he had grown to be a selfish man, and the yearning he felt for her overpowered his own desire to keep her far from his darkest demons. And when she shows up at his place, unannounced, he couldn’t help the smirk that grew daring on his lips. A devilish glint on his eyes. “ Well come on in then, love. I had been dying to see you as well.”

 She had to suppress the smirk from growing on her lips as her eyes adjusted a bit better to the darkness around them. Staying at Mystic Falls, and on top of it, The Salvatore School hadn’t been in Jade’s plans after finally leaving the prison world, and neither had it been finding herself involved in this monster hunting thing the “super squad” seemed to have going around the place. Less alone with a witch that doubled, tripled her age. But Mystic Falls never seemed to play by most rules, and her life had been a series of “not planned” events so far. And Cassandra proved to be a far better companion than most students. She turned to her, raised eyebrow.  “ Aren’t you like a super badass witch? ---Y’know, summoning monsters and the like? actually hunting them shouldn’t be as terrifying.”

“    wow.  that  is  so  not  helpful.    ”      still  ,  the  grimoire  is  tossed  aside.  she  knows  the  way  this works.  how  hard  it  is  to  pick  apart  another  witch’s  spells.     but  that  doesn’t  make  this  process  any  easier.  especially  not  when  she’s  relying  on  someone  else  to  do  the  actual  magic.  she’d  feel  better  if  this  was  in  her  hands.      “    we  don’t  have  time  to  comb  through  every  spell  she’s  ever  tried.    ”
