Leo missed having nights like these. The five of them, watching movies late into the evening and early into the mornings. Bowls of popcorn emptied within the first fifteen minutes, stacks of pizza for them to scarf down, liters upon liters of soda, boxes of candy for everyone to enjoy, and plenty of pillows and blankets so that not a single square foot of the concrete and metal-grated floor was exposed. The classic Hamato-O'Neil sleepover extravaganza.

Leo battled April with their typical pun battles, where one would make a joke using wordplay, and the other would have to follow suit with a similar or related word. Leo started off saying that all her jokes would be 'cheesy'. April assured him they were all 'gouda'. Leo retorted that her jokes 'were like swiss cheese -- too many holes'. And so on and so forth, gaining complaints and boos from the rest of the group as they went on. Raph brought out all his cuddlies and stuffies, letting each sibling take one for comfort... should they decide to watch any scary movies. Their energy came in waves, the first dissipating after the first J.J. film. They paused, had some food and snacks, watch some 'Try Not To Laugh' challenges, failed the challenges, and then the second wave hit. Donnie set up a special game he'd heard about and fixated over for them all to play. At some point, Mikey started laughing too loudly and accidentally screamed in April's ear. Leo was making fun of the characters with his colour commentary and annoyed Donnie into pushing him off the couch. Raph decided it would be cool to see if a mint in Vitamin Water and shaking it would have the same effect as a Mentos in Diet Coke. News flash, it did.

So the night was going really great!

Leo cackled as he pulled Donnie off the couch with him. Raph panicked and dropped the bottle once it started foaming and exploding, and April grabbed the drink and used it as a weapon against them. Donnie started a massive pillow fight and created a battlefield. Once their second wave of energy had depleted, and the pizza boxes were all but empty, they settled down to continue the movie night. It was really nice, having everyone over together like this. Leo tried to recall the last time they'd gotten together like this and had a massive celebration...

Mikey laughed as he pointed to the screen, cackling madly. Raphael had fallen asleep watching Jupiter Jim's Pluto Vacation 4 and broken the coffee table with his face again. Donnie and April groaned loudly, but Leo and Mikey high-fived with glee.

Just another fun family night. One Leo was so extremely grateful for. Though, he didn't have any real need to feel that way. The Shredder was locked away, Big Mama was not causing any problems (that they knew of), and his family had never felt closer since Splinter had shared the a good portion of his past with them. Everything was... perfect. Sure, things had been kind of rocky before. Concerning Leo's portals needing more experience, the secrets that Splinter kept from them about their origins, Draxum being a villain, and the Shredder's resurrection. Among other things.  They needed a night like this. To unwind, relax, take it easy and have a laugh. They were all just teenagers, after all.

Leo leaned back in his sleeping back, propped up with pillows to form a cocoon throne. He chuckled softly at Raph's light snoring, Mikey drawing pictures on his face, April putting curlers into Mayhem's hair and through Donnie's mask tails...

His eyes grew heavy.

Leo fell asleep.

"Leo, wake up, Leo!"

"Can he hear us? I think he can --"

"How do we know this will work?"

"It just will. It has to."

"Don't give up on us, Leo... C'mon, get up... get up...!"

"Leo?"

Leo's eyes fluttered open. He yawned, and turned over in his sleeping bag.

"Wake me'up... wh'n iz... morn'n....."

No one responded. The lair was silent. Leo couldn't even hear the movie playing.

He sat up slowly, glancing around to see if the others had all fallen asleep as well. No one was here. The projector was still running softly, but there was no sound, no image. Just TV snow -- static buzzing across the screen as the machine whirred and whined with exhaustion. Huh. Weird, he'd never known the projector to do that... Leo tilted his head in confusion. The screen blinked at him oddly. The static took soft shapes Leo could almost swear he saw images in the interference. It must be his imagination.

But the instant Leo called his attention to it, the projector popped, fizzled, and disconnected.

Huh. Must be the sleep deprivation...

Leo's attention came back to the emptiness of the room. Where had everyone gone? It was too dark and too quiet to be morning yet. Maybe... they'd all gone to get more snacks? It was a silly idea, but the only probable one he could think of. Leo rose to his feet, stretched, and clambered over the sea of pillows and cushions surrounding the area. He wondered what time it was. He tried to find his phone... but, uh... hm. That was unlike him, to leave his phone unattended. Oh well, he didn't actually need it. Besides, there were other clocks in the lair. Leo roamed into the halls, which seemed a lot longer and more dominated by shadow than usual. These shadows were strange, rounding about the walls and ceiling and floor as if they were cloth rolling down a hole. In fact, the more Leo focused on the world around him, the more it seemed distorted and out of place. The photos on the walls were tilted and slanted, the images were too blurry to be discernible. There were doors that he did not recognize, practically littering the hallway. And the hallway itself went on for miles and miles and miles. Leo eventually saw a door that felt familiar. Felt familiar. It did not look familiar. But being near the door felt like being at the end of a task you forgot you were doing. Recognition of completion. He opened the door.

It was the kitchen. And it was empty. No one was here... huh. Weird. Where had they all gone? Leo glanced at the wall clock. The hand were at... uh... He couldn't read the numbers. There weren't any numbers. And for whatever reason, he couldn't recall in what order numbers ran, or where they started on a clock. At the top? The middle? The bottom? Where was the 1 supposed to be? And which hand represented the hour?

Uh... h-he didn't really want to see the time, anyway. It would just remind him of how many hours he had left to try and sleep.

"You've been sleeping enough, I think..."

Who said that?

Leo glanced around room anxiously. The once warm light was starting to dim, darken, desaturate. It was getting pretty cold in here. Leo ran out of the room, and looked down the halls. The way back to the living room was pitch black, and getting darker and scarier by the minute.

"This way, Leo! Follow us!"

Leo turned to look the other way.

There was a light at the end of the tunnel! A deep, warm, golden amber light. He'd go that way. Leo started running. It was so hard to run, he felt like he was running through water, or molasses. Slowed down to a crawl, he forced his arms and legs to move as fast as they could to escape the oncoming, ever consuming darkness.

"Come on, Leo, you can do it!"

"You've got this, dude! Keep going!"

"Don't give up!"

Leo struggled hard, gritting his teeth and growling with strained effort.

"Rrrrrgh! Who ARE you weird disembodied voices, anyway?! What have you done with my family?!"

The voices didn't answer. Or maybe they did, he just wasn't hearing them anymore. Everything felt like slow motion.

Leo finally made it to the edge of the light. As soon as his fingers touched the sparkling beams, he felt the effects of the darkness bleed off of him, ebbing away like the tide as he crawled out of its reach. The cold chill that had been clawing at his heart and lungs was now replaced by a glorious sensation of healthy warmth. The air sparkled, chasing the dark back into the abyss. The light brightened, beckoning him. Something about this light felt like... like... Like Mikey, somehow. It mirrored his bright personality. Leo could almost swear that touching the light was like holding his hand. He could feel the weight in his palm.

"...Mikey?" he asked aloud, eyes wide with shock at how familiar and real it all felt. The realest thing here...

"He felt me!"

"Huh?" Leo asked, still unsure where the voice had come from...

But before he could discern anything, his feet started moving again, almost as if he was no longer in charge. He strode through the tunnels, following the light.

"Don't worry, Nardo, we'll help you get back."

"We'll be right here beside you, no matter what."

"Anatawa hitorijinai."

"I don't speak... whatever that is," Leo mumbled sleepily. He wondered why he felt so drowsy all over again.

But Leo felt like the voices weren't malevolent. They weren't evil, or cruel. Maybe they had done something to his family, maybe not. It felt more like they wanted to help return him to them. Leo wasn't an overly trusting guy, but he was willing to stake his life for his family's sake.

He was willing to follow the light.

so y'see there's something wrong with me and i have received immense bugs for these guys (!) and I'm slowly but surely learning how to draw them. i think. i hope.

What if the turtles were in the pokemon world? And what if they were never turtles, but in fact, mutated pokemon? What if they lived in the Castelia sewers of Unova instead of New York?

Meet my Rise/Pokemon AU!! Waaaah this has been on my mind for MONTHS now. Pokemon is that one fixation that'll never leave me. I'm THAT pokemon fan that knows WAAAAY too much about the games and lore. For those that don't know,

Raph is Drednaw

Leo is Wartortle

Mikey is Torkoal

Donnie is Lapras

Yes. They are all shiny. I started with raph, since him as drednaw is pretty much a no brainer. The shiny form fit too well with him and his color scheme. Than I realized if I made him shiny, I had to make the other bros shiny as well so THEY ALL SHINY. (draxum shiny hunter confirmed?) Also dual rock typing fits well with raph's character.

Wartortle for leo was also a pretty obvious choice. I MEAN LOOK AT HIM. Long flowy tail? Yes please. I had to keep his markings somehow. Wartortle has little dark cheek spots, so I just changed them to be leo's markings. Water typing leo. Go with the flow, think on the spot, it worked out too well.

Torkoal for Mikey was another easy one. Fire turtle? Passionate, warm, also DANGEROUS (he can be a menace ok) Say no more. His powers in rise are already pyro related. Also having him shiny helped a lot with the color scheme. Torkoal is normally orange so having mikey be the yellow shiny form meant I didn't have to mess with his mask colors

Donnie on the other hand....OHHH BOI I STRUGGLED WITH YOU. I went through 4 DIFFERENT POKEMON, before deciding on the least turtle like of them all. I am aware that we do have a softshell pokemon with enamorous, but it's a legendary so thats not happening. But it was really important for me to keep donnie's soft shell and battle shell. I wanted this to be a RISE au and donnie's battle shell is pretty tied into his character. (there's also tirtouga which I almost went with, but I didn't like that both he and raph shared the exact same dual typing) Soooo, Lapras. Its more of a loch ness monster but it also draws inspiration from a placochelys (prehistoric seaturtle esque species) so IM COUNTING IT. Very unconventional but I have my reasons. Ice typing is a good offensive type, but is pretty bad defensively. Which ties into rise donnie's fighting style. If I wasn't a coward, I wouldve made donnie the biggest of the bros. Since lapras is like 8 feet tall compared to the others being like 1-3 feet. But uhhh, I swear I have an in universe explanation for why he's so small ok.

And than there's April. She is not a pokemon trainer in this au. At least not in the traditional sense. I've been with pokemon for all of my 26 years of life, and I always wanted to know what the normal people of the pokemon world are up to. Not everyone is out here collecting gym badges, travelling, or catching them all. How do non-trainers interact with the pokemon world? So that's where I'm at with April. She will get a pokemon partner, but other than that, she's just an average high schooler who befriended the turtles from a young age and takes part in all their shenanigans. I took some design elements from rosa and hilbert with her outfit, but otherwise its pretty much the same.

We'll see how far I'll take this. I've been using this as a break from my many other projects, but like everything I do, it grew too many legs and is slowly becoming its own thing.

Sunsets Duo's overlooked relationship

Analysis for Mikey's and Raphael's relationship.

Let's start this off with something easy, people tend to ignore Mikey's and Raphael's dynamic or brush it off as Mikey disliking Raphael.

Which is just plain wrong, they have reasons for why they act the way they do.

It's a bit easier to tell, why Mikey dislikes Raphael protectiveness solely for the 'Hot Soup: The Game' and or 'Men vs. Sewer' episode but people are way too fixated on that and ignore every other episode to see, where Raphael is coming from.

Just look at Mikey anytime, he's by himself without his brothers, there is definitely a pattern going on.

This fight or flight instinct kicks in, anytime something doesn't go as planned. He freezes on spot and it takes him a very long time to run away as a last result.

(Todd literally had to carry Mikey away from Meatsweats after Meatswats was about to punch them in this tree like monster form and another time Leo had to pull Mikey away from the robo ghost)

This is all linked to Mikey overthinking situations.

Mikey needs to be told, what to do.

This is something he learned from Raphael and Donnie, the training session with Raphael made him a strong fighter no doubt and Donnie's advice is just as helpful for Mikey in certain situations but this is also why Mikey is very reliant on others, specifically Raphael and Donnie.

He never learned how to do his own thing in missions without his brothers. He always just listens and you can see this very strongly in 'Repo Mantis' episode with Donnie.

Like yes he still does impulsive stuff due to his ADD but regarding the mission, he mainly was listening.

This is also an episode in which Mikey pleads for Donnie to not call Raphael and Leo for help.

Everytime he gets to shine by himself through battles, he can do just fine but anytime he overthinks something, he usually tend to mimic his brothers fighting style and of course loses that way.

It's not helping that usually his ideas were never taken into considerations. They were usually brushed off by Raphael and or Donnie as nonsense or something to immediately correct, which amplifies Mikey's anxiety to do something wrong on his own without his brothers being there to tell him what to do.

They may have good intentions but those good intentions are also hindering Mikey's growth.

It's why his first solo mission was an entirely new experience for Mikey. He wanted to do things his own way and proof Raphael that he can be trusted.

It's why he got serious after he got the call from Raphael and managed to fend off Cassandra pretty well.

Now with this in mind, we also got some canon confirmation regarding Raphael.

Raphael possess emotional intelligence.

Which means, Raphael completely understands Mikey's fears but has no clue, it's him being a cause of this.

(Donnie understands Mikey's needs as well but in a different way and luckily isn't protective to the extreme as Raphael)

This is why Raphael gets very protective over Mikey the most. He worries about him way too much and in turn Mikey is starting to get irritated by this.

He even gets passive aggressive, especially in this scene below.

It's also not helping that Mikey is pretty sensitive as a whole and all of his brothers know.

Mikey is the most expressive in the family when it comes to his sad or scared emotions and doesn't shy away from showing this, not even to strangers.

The fact that Mikey always seems to be on Raphael's back is very notable as well, which means Raphael is Mikey's safe space and Raphael is fully aware of this fact.

Those are points as to why Raphael is overprotective to Mikey, he doesn't do this for no reason.

Now the question is, why does Raphael not consider Mikey's ideas in missions and why does Raphael struggle to trust Mikey, if he is emotional intelligent as the creator says?

It's pure stress, Raphael is very stressed in a lot of episodes, he can't always keep track on everyone's emotional side.

He is just a minor that happens to take care of his younger brothers, we also can't forget that he is just 1 year older than Donnie and Leo, the way Raphael reacts, it's pretty realistic honestly.

If everything is quiet and nothing stresses him out, he's right there to comfort Mikey, if needed.

Now to the trust question, I will elaborate.

People usually pick the 'Mrs. Cuddles' card to show that Mikey apparently hates Raphael.

No this is quiet the opposite, sounds weird but the reason why Mikey acted uncharacteristically mean towards Raphael, is purely because he can't grasp the idea that Raphael, a big guy, who is the strongest and most reliable person, would be afraid of an insignificant plush like Mrs Cuddles.

They joked about it because it's funny for them but then Mikey gets irritated that the person who always have answers just doesn't have it and is shows to be scared...of a plush of all things.

I mean in the very same episode, Mikey screams his lungs out because he hopes that Raphael will go safe him, despite being with Leo.

Now you can perhaps see, why Raphael was worried sick for Mikey in the 'Hot Soup: The Game' episode and struggles to trust Mikey to do things on his own.

Both Raphael and Mikey are unintentionally hurting each other, Raphael doesn't mind to take care of Mikey but sometimes it's just too much and he needs a break. Whereas Mikey needs to have a voice in certain missions, figure himself out and not rely heavily on Raphael to do all the lifting.

The latest episodes and season was showing us growth for both Raphael and Mikey that seemingly went unnoticed 'One Man's Junk' is the ultimate episode for that.

Mikey and Donnie already went once to this junkyard at the ‘Repo Mantis’ episode and did fine, it’s why Donnie and Mikey wanted to get to Repo because they knew how this guy ticks. 

But Raphael didn't listen to Mikey and wanted to go with his plan instead, he had no idea that Mikey and Donnie prior went on an adventure with Repo as their opponent.

As before, Mikey was able to tell that this isn't his fault, he almost finished the mission in ease with Donnie just like he almost finished his first solo mission.

Raphael is the one who kind of ruined Mikey's progress, even if his actions were intended to be good.

I think right this moment Raphael realizes this, after Mikey communicated this to him.

In the end, he decides to go with Mikey's plan, it may sound silly but at the same time it sounds like this is going to work, which it did.

This is where the relationship of the two, slowly started to get mended.

How communication can solve issues like this!

Moving on from S1, let’s talk about S2 with another sorta Mikey and Raphael episode with Draxum included in 'Reparin' the Baron'. Now since Mikey's confidence is geared up by a lot after Raphael has shown to trust his plans and by default trust him, he wants to help Draxum in his own terms, which confuses Raphael because he can't for his own sanity understand why. He isn't necessarily listening to Mikey but for good reasons, Draxum was their enemy the entire run time in this series, Raphael jumped to the conclusion that Mikey is putting himself in danger without any plans or idea on what he is doing.

But seeing that all of the Hamato family joined this apartment of Draxum, it's a bit clearer to Raphael that Mikey didn't do this with nothing planned ahead, no. 

Mikey wants everyone to see that Draxum is part of their family and should be treated as such. He wants to convince everyone, including Draxum that he is part of their family.

So Mikey chose Raphael to come join him with Draxum.

This episode as a whole shows us how much Mikey and Raphael have grown to understand each other much better. Mikey is not afraid anymore to pursue Raphael into his plan because he knows Raphael will get worried the most out of everyone and wants to show him that he can take care of things on his own.

Raphael on the other hand didn't downright tell Mikey that this is stupid or dismisses Mikey altogether after being calmed down enough, he softly asks Mikey if this is really a good idea and doubts Mikey's word that it will work out but still he goes along with Mikey's idea.

Everything was fine, until the bounty hunters found them. Mikey is the first one to step up, ready to defend Draxum and Raphael readied himself to help Mikey, if things goes south but instead Draxum ran off and left Mikey to fend himself, meanwhile Raphael got upset at Draxum for leaving Mikey behind.

Mikey still wants to help Draxum but obviously Raphael doesn't want to anymore, not after the stunt Draxum has pulled on Mikey.

This is where he takes the time to listen to Mikey again and Mikey’s reasoning was still the same. 'He made us, he is family'. Raphael's realization was creeping up on him that Mikey let something this awful slide because he sees Draxum as family.

Sometimes I get a feeling that this face Raphael is making, is pure shock and a bit of guilt right here.

He doesn't want to abandon Mikey's feelings, the same way Draxum abandoned Mikey. He reluctantly agrees to help, not for Draxum but for Mikey's sake.

Now this is more of a theory but still possibly part of this analysis.

A lot of fans think that the fall out between Mikey and Raphael started, when they were very young.

I for one thing that either S2 or S3 was going to be this fall out episode between Mikey and Raphael, it would have happened not because Mikey goes on a streak of doing more by himself and not relying as much on Raphael as time goes by.

Knowing Raphael lost his leader role to Leo and the way how Raphael treated Mikey for a long time, makes him question if he really was a good leader to begin with and I think Raphael would ultimately believe that Mikey never needed him in the first place.

Which is just plain wrong because Mikey still needs Raphael, even if he acts more independent.

Dynamics: Part 2, <Next!>

For Apocalypse F! Mikey: Now see Uncle Tello content is great and I love it. But consider this, it’s alr everywhere AND think bout Master Michelangelo /Uncle Mi supremacy ✨👀 think bout uncle Mi being the warm/comforting/ steadying presence that Cj clung to when Leo and April are stuck being the sole two pillars of leadership for the entirely of sentient life on earth and Donnie is off doing his mad scientist things(No hate to D but we know our boi has low empathy and tends to get hyper fixated to the point he ignores everyone. Not that he wouldn’t absolutely try for Junior cuz he would but ya know what I mean) which leaves the Mikey cuz our poor Raphie and Casey Sr died early.

Like Cmon guys hear me out Mike alr has Dr feelings and his ole mediator shtick. you can’t tell me that as he grew and matured it didn’t not grew stronger. Plus he defo Leaned into the whole mediator thing esp with the apocalypse cuz someone defo needed to be the calm mediator in the chaos that was the kraang. Plus he was ALR the most mentally/emotionally stable out of all the fam and a child in a chaotic environment (cough the apocalypse cough) is gonna unconsciously gravitate towards that. And mikey being mikey is then absolutely gonna white knuckle his “I’m emotionally healthy” even more cuz we got a kid now. We gotta make sure he grows up with SMTH.

Plus I like to think everyone had diff roles in raising Cj. Eg: Cj spends time with tello if he wants to hang out and blow shit up or wants to brainstorm tangible solutions. but if he needs/wants emotional support or emotional safety he goes to Mikey and if he wants all of the above plus advice in general it’s Leo and Comander April lmao (but 7/10 times it’s Leo). Side note: Before Raph died he and mikey used to tag team M’s role and April’s role was formerly Cassandra’s but welp we all know what happened 😭. Also I just wanna make it clear that these roles weren’t always hard and fast rule. It’s just generally the common status quo but was still subject to change depending on the circumstances cuz ppl are ppl and ppl are complex. Like if Cj was feeling particularly scared for Dee or April’s mortality I can guarantee he glomped them. And they let him.

Edit: In any case, their dynamic is basically all round calm, slow and cozy vibes. Cuz like I said, Mikey was acting as Cj’s living sentient equivalent of a warm, weighted blanket. Plus mystic overuse/cursed aging gave Mikey a lot of chronic fatigue and plus Mi leaning hard into the whole mediator thing rlly made him mellow out esp when he had to be responsible for a kid. So most of their hanging out was either sitting around talking about their day, making up stories bout random objects they found like ‘I bet that cup has a chip in cuz an alligator got it’ ,Cj ranting, mystic training, lots and lots of snuggles or (big shocker I know) Mikey reading to Cj (don’t Judge Cj, he finds Uncle’s Mi voice calming. And as tor Mikey, options are limited when you’re old, physically frail and in an apocalypse) or them reading tgt in comfy silence with the occasional comment of ‘man this character is so stupid’ and ‘I know right!’. For Past/present time: Once Cj starts to properly distinguish between future and present and feels a little more ready to start properly interacting with P!fam. He starts to build a stable relationship with Mikey. their dynamic is one of more equal standing cuz of the lack of age difference aka the big theme for this dynamic is all abt growing up tgt. This creates a more free and unrestrained dynamic where both feel more encouraged/safe to try new things cuz they don’t have to worry bout any hovering from any older siblings (sorry Leo he tries but even he can’t fully escape the big brother instincts even towards Case. Which is hilarious cuz Cj is the most self sufficient out of everyone XD ) and cuz they don’t have to worry bout looking stupid in front said older siblings if they fail/ being coddled if they fail. Initially it was a very big whiplash for Casey to adjust to the fact that someone he used to look for answers/ be a pillar was just as clueless as he was AND the fact he could freely argue back with said someone due to the lack of age difference.

But once both parties settled in, they have alot of fun just being kids and messing around. Honestly their dynamic is adorable. With Mikey’s more adventurous and more hopeful personality helping Cj start to relax a little more and start acting more like the 15 year old he is. And Cj’s more serious and sensible mindset helps Mikey become a little more thoughtful/cautious as he’s more open to Cj’s criticism cuz it feels alot less condescending than the rest of the fam due to the age similarity.

This dynamic also plays a part in Cj’s adjustment to the past. Due to said adventurous behaviour, Mike always wants to show Cj new things. And his emotionally intuitive nature helps him pick up when Cj is uncomfortable but doesn’t always feel comfortable saying it or can just generally quickly pick up the warning signs of a trigger. So after some trial and error Mikey gets pretty good at knowing when to push and pull Case out of his comfort zone or just out right cancel an outing cuz Dr feelings can sense the ensuing panic attack/ PTSD triggers. Which Casey rlly appreciates. On the flip side, Cj is the biggest advocate (second to Leo) for letting Mikey do his thing cuz he knows what Mikey is capable off and isn’t blinded with older sibling instincts. Which Mikey greatly appreciates. We stan mutually supportive siblings.

And as the youngest, they both bond (mostly Miguel talks, Cj listens oh how the tables turn) over how frustrating it is to see the rest of their family (for Cj it’s him using his experience with F!Fam to relate to P!Mikey cuz the P!Fam don’t rlly baby Casey the same way/the obvious extent they do for Miguel. For Mikey, it’s more they water down info either intentionally/unintentionally or try to stop him from doing stuff cuz they want to protect him. And for Cj, it’s more them trying to be extra subtly careful of his sore spots. Like Legit cuz of Cj, everyone at some point had independently googled ‘how to care for war-torn ptsd riddled relative’ and ‘how to help someone with material insecurity issues’ or ‘how to support someone going thru bereavement’. For once it wasn’t only Mike reading psych stuff lmao) trying to water things down for them like dums dums XD.

They also tag team the rest of their family with the combined powers of their puppy dog eyes and shared status as “baby’s of the family” to get out of trouble/get what they want like the gremlins they are 😂. Generally when hanging out they’re either doing things action driven stuff (a stark contrast to F!Mikey and Cj. Cuz P!Mikey is younger, less traumatised and hasn’t been peepawed) like graffiti (Mikey sprays full on masterpieces and Cj loves spraying colourful doodles cuz he’s delighted to play with all sorts of bright colours and see the pretty art Anglo makes that Cj didn’t have the luxuary of seeing in the apocalypse, so despite the huge skill gap, which is rapidly becoming smaller, they still have fun tgt), skateboarding, playing video games, parkour or Mikey kidnapping Cj to show/get him to try smth he didn’t get to do in the apocalypse, *cough the occasional arson cough* Like I said they’re awesome lmao

On a side note: both Cj and Mikey are very happy to have a cool brother/friend who is the same age as them. For Cj it’s cuz fellow kids were very rare back in his time. Meaning the kids that were round him were either much older or much younger so same age friends is very much a novel experience lmao. As for Mikey, although he does call Cj baby brother( he doesn’t actually enforce that unless in certain situations like Cj in distress or trying to get Cj to do Miguel’s part of chores lmao) most of the time he’s happy to not be alone in his age grp of family/friends cuz it can get a little lonely sometimes. Raph, April and Casey have each other, Donnie and Leo have each other and now Mikey and Cj have each other! Yaayyy

Full on tripping over her words, getting flustered easily, you're the only thing on her mind when she realizes that she likes you.

Would never bring his crush on you up to his brothers, especially Raph.

Because you are very head-strong, sometimes you and Leo end up butting heads due to your opinions differing.

Raphael "Raph" Hamato

In the beginning, you and Raph are constantly butting heads. You both are very short-tempered and head-strong so when your opinions differ, it's a bull match between you two.

After some time, it's not as bad as it was, you learn to compromise.

They teach you some stuff as a way of flirting without being obvious.

It takes a while for him to get a crush on you, he's supposed to be the tough guy, he doesn't have time for feelings.

But everytime you remind them that being strong involves being in tune with your feelings, they start to allow themself to fall for you.

He doesn't understand his feelings for you, he's confused. Like 'Why does my stomach feel weird whenever we're training together? Why can't I think straight when I talk to her?'

They don't want to get teased by their brothers so they keep their crush a secret, but everyone knows, except for you.

Donatello "Donnie" Hamato

Similar to Leo, he's not excited that you are basically another Raph. He's not a fan of the short-tempered, sarcastic, loudness that is you.

Being more logical and rational, he clashes with your 'punch first, ask questions later' attitude. But hey, they do say opposites attract.

Once he realizes that he's starting to like you, he tries to avoid you as much as possible. He's had his human-mutant "relationship" experience and it didn't go well. *cough* April *cough*

When you let down your tough exterior is when he falls hard, he basically smacked the floor with how hard he fell.

He's in love with your sense of humor. If you were to crack a joke that had anything to do with science or robotics, he would fall harder than ever.

Michelangelo "Mikey" Hamato

Being the baby brother, Mikey knows how his hot-headed brother is. He knows that Raph can be caring, despite the rough exterior.

Mikey figures you're the same way. Tough on the outside, soft on the inside.

They fall hard and fast, completely head over heels for you. They're like a lovesick puppy, following at your feet, treating you like a princess.

His crush on you is obvious to everyone, except you. At first, you think it's annoying how he's always by your side, but over time, he starts to grow on you.

If you were to come into the kitchen when they were cooking and matched his goofy energy, they would break. They love it so much.

Don't even get me started on when you both are hyper together. You two being energetic and chaotic, he loves it! Although the others aren't too happy with all the commotion if they're busy (which they most likely are).

Hello! I'm passing by with an opportunity to ramble if you'd like! :D I know you like Raph - what about Raph as a character appeals to you (any or all versions)? Do you have favorite Raph moments or episodes? Out of the other turtles, who do you enjoy Raph's dynamic with the most?

Yes, I would actually like to do that. Thank you much!! I've been wanting to post and write more now that classes are done, and this was a helpful kick-start. A little too helpful, some might say. Very long post ahead.

What about Raph as a character appeals to you (any or all versions)?

Honestly, liking Raph took me by complete surprise. Growing up on 12 and getting back into my TMNT fixation with Rise, Leo and Donnie were my favorite turtles by far. But then I decided to watch as much as I could in chronological order. 87 Raphael was not at all what I expected, and I immediately loved him. He's hilarious and exudes the kind of sarcasm I can only aspire to. And as I began watching and rewatching shows and movies, I realised a lot of them have this dry wit that appeals to my sense of humor.

Raphs also go through so much crap internally and externally, and I'm a sucker for angst. Plus, it's so important to me that no matter how much they struggle, no one gets and loves them so well as their family. Maybe a weird example, but I love Mr. Nice Guy (1987), in which Donatello's Personality Alterator gets turned on him accidentally, and the other three freak out and send him to therapy. Like it's a silly situation, but the fact that they clock something's really wrong in the way he's not acting like himself and get him help is heartwarming.

Had a good laugh earlier this week at the realisation that most Raphs are particularly sweet on kids, old blind folks, and animals. Followed a couple of days later by the thought, duh, these populations are particularly vulnerable to abuse and harm, so of course, a Raph is going to be protective of them.

Also, sai are so cool, what the heck. Can't believe I was obsessing over katana as a kid when sai are right there. With my limited understanding, they may not always be shown correctly in TMNT? But they're truly very neat weapons, and sai kata are cool to watch.

90s Raph and Casey's first fight ("Cricket! Nobody understands cricket. You gotta know what a crumpet is to understand cricket"), then he goes home and curls up with Splinter to cry about getting his butt kicked by Some Dude. He's quite the daddy's boy in the 90s.

Raph's voice is unfairly gorgeous in Coming Out of Their Shells. I straight up clutched my heart the first time I heard it

Mikey: Tell 'em Raph! Raph: It isn't burgers or french fries that work for turtles of our size

I love this silly line entirely because of his voice and delivery. He's also fun to watch on stage. One of my favorite bits is this backward skip he does when he sings, "And moving backwards is a crying shame!"

The one where Venus gets her name

TNM Leo: Hey, Venus! Uh, what's with the statue head? TNM Raph: Hahaha! She won it in the park, slaying bad guys.

After the TNM gang saves a baby turtle from a poacher, Raph gets on the floor to be at eye level with her

Raph: You know what, you're kinda cute for such an ugly little thing. I'm you're Uncle Raph~ You wanna go for a ride in my hog? Ayo, Donnie! Can you make her a teeny tiny helmet?

And then Donnie teases him while everyone stares, so he gets offended (read: embarrassed), and Leo teases him harder, and he gets even more offended.

Just thinking about the beginning of Meet Casey Jones (2003) makes me tear up.

87 Raphael and Donatello's dynamic is very important to me. In my heart, they're twins. Some of my favorite episodes are the ones where they pair off or take the same side of a team argument: Splinter Vanishes, The Big Blow Out, Back to the Egg, Dirk Savage: Mutant Hunter, Combat Land, Cry H.A.V.O.C.!, etc. I also love this line from My Brother, the Bad Guy

Raphael: Okay, this is the point at which we get squashed like bugs, or! turn to Donatello for help. R+M+L: DONATELLO! 

Coming Out of Their Shells Sunset Duo are the besties everrrrr. Mikey raps a whole verse in Cowabunga about how Raph is his best friend and they wrote all of the music together and that is like the most epic thing ever and I love their energy and how they play off each other on stage and they love each so much I can't– 

TNM Raph and Venus!! The siblings ever, truly. So much sass. They are both overprotective of each other. They're literally the best.

03 Sunset Duo will never not be funny. Raph can be tricked into verbally affirming he loves Mikey when he thinks one or both of them are about to die. Raph is also incredibly distraught about Mikey possibly and then actually winning the Battle Nexus Tournament. Peak comedy and siblinghood.

07 Raph and Leo quite possibly make me feral. "Is he kiddin'? He's lecturing." I still can not believe he didn't know Raph was Nightwatcher. For so many reasons, but especially because some of his initial comments in that fight are pointed. I always wonder if, on some unconscious level, he did know. And then Raph goes through a battery of emotions with the katana breaking and pinning Leo and then running and all the screaming, gosh. Leo, too. They're so similar it hurts.

I also love 12 Sunset Duo, but I think I love the A-Team a little more. Honestly, their interactions remind me so much of my siblings and I. Pushing each other's buttons so hard, then taking over the world together. Actively trying to kill each other, but minutes later, they're professing their undying love. So much ganging up on their little siblings. Leo gets adorably excited with him sometimes ("Look, Raph, mouser-kebabs!"), and Raph is frequently going, how are we related??? ("Halt? Villain?? When did we start talking like that?!" and "Dude, it literally hurts to listen to you sometimes"). Favs.

Before I get to rambling umm I don’t read that much fanfiction other than like father like son because I needed to know what all the fanart was about. Leo whump always for the win. I’ve also read every night longest day and it’s sooo good

Donnie was really the only one who was mainly dedicated to finding his brothers. As a character focused on logic and fact I thought it would be more appropriate for him to be fixated on the search for his true origins.

Leo, although a born natural leader, has a lot weighing on him from the sights he’s seen in childhood. He spent almost all his childhood in solitude and honestly couldn’t find it in him to leave Splinter behind because his dad is so goddamn sad all the time. He does have some fun times with his old man and gets ninja training in despite splinter’s protests

Mikey ‘s like. Supper happy with his life :) he love love loves his dad. But if he found out he has Lou Jitsu’s DNA and splinter technically also his dad…? (Insert the hidden city episode where Mikey wishes his two dads get along but the roles are reversed)

Raph’s a little angrier than in canon. He focuses the energy he has as an older brother on his duties as a foot clan ninja instead. He’s very passionate. He definitely knew about Donnie’s and Mikey’s existences (they’re the children of infamous public figures) but probably didn’t put two and two together until the search of brothers began.

FIGHTING:

Leo learns from Splinter (obviously) a combination of movies and real life training

Donnie studied battle nexus battles. He knows fighting in theory but no one would dare fight Big Mama’s kid (especially knowing his shell is vulnerable.)

Mikey was taught by Draxum early childhood when Draxum was on his warrior creation grind. Draxum gets attached and eventually lets up on the training, letting Mikey choose what he wants to do. Mikey gets extracurricular acrobatic lessons

Raph got the foot clan ninja swag and trains with Cassandra and the gang. He loves being a ninja and is passionate about protecting the people he loves; He and Casey often do patrols and vigilante work when they’re not training. Like Draxum with Mikey, Raph’s caretakers are easy on him after a while. Raph gets insistent on training more though and everyone’s like how does he have so much energy (He was literally genetically created for fighting)

I’m a huge fan of Greek mythology - hyper-fixated on it during MS and HS, ironically not because of the Percy Jackson series - and want to know how you’d work a Hades and Persephone AU with Leosagi? Because I have an idea of if it was a Draxum raised Leo kind of deal (and yes, I’m totally implying Leo as Persephone in that thought), but I wanted to know how you’d work it?

Hades and Persephone is one of my favorite myths.

I’m bring it in two flavored today.

2003 Leosagi

Usagi is Persephone.

He lives in a world where he can walk around and have a normal life. He is a samurai and is well known and well liked.

He meets Leo and the two fall for each other.

But they are from different worlds.

Everyone wants Usagi to forget about Leo. He is a ninja which means he is dangerous and he is from a ‘dark world’ (New York is so dark in that cartoon)

But Usagi so stubborn and goes after him any way. The two eventually start dating but Usagi can’t stay forever, he has duties in his own world.

Cue the six month arrangement.

Rise Leosagi.

Leo is Persephone.

The magic powers, the bright happy city, the loving but over protective family.

Accidentally opens a portal into Usagi’s world.

Stumbles into him. The two fall in love but Leo’s family don’t want him galavanting in another worlds.

Maybe Leo accidentally gets cursed and has to stay in Usagi’s world for 6 months.

Rise leans it self better to the boys having powers

You could also just make the rise boys into full gods with different powers and abilities.

Leo could easily be spring, Mikey summer, Donnie fall, and Raph winter. You could have a lot of fun with this very quickly.

Bonus flavor

2003 reverse

Leo is Persephone.

Over protective parent that shields them all from the world.

The brothers sneak out one day (maybe they live in Usagi’s world already or maybe Donnie built a portal machine “dad said no to the surface not other dimension.”) but they run into Usagi.

They are all extremely wary of him at first but he does a good job at trying to make them feel safe and comfortable.

Splinter eventually comes to fetch his sons and he forbids them from going to Usagi’s world again.

Cue Leo and his brothers sneaking out to see Usagi.

Leo and Usagi fall in love and Usagi starts looking for a way to allow Leo and his family to stay in his world. (Maybe their is no battle nexus and he has no way to follow them to their world) and he comes across the pomegranate.

He tells Leo his idea and of course Leo wants to stay but he would never let his brother try a potentially dangerous plan without him doing it first.

This is how Leo eats the pomegranate seeds and now has to remain in Usagi’s world for six months.

The brothers are a little peeved as they don’t like the idea of Leo being trapped but they always follow him there any way.

I have a lot of different ideas for this. But mainly it depends on the version and how heavily you want to actually base it on the myth. New York being hades is so funny to me.

"LEO, STOP AND THINK! SPLINTER'S HURT AND THEY'RE TOO STRONG!"

Leo shot up with a jolt of terror. Memories flooded back.

The Krang. The fight. Splinter.

"Raph..." He whispered. Leo stood from his spot, suddenly being crowded by his family. "Thank goodness! We thought we lost ya there, Leon!" Mikey squealed while hugging his older sibling. The red-eared slider stood stock still.

"Where's Raph?"

The question shook him to his very core. His heart panged irregularly and almost painfully. Donnie looked down at his blue twin's fingers, which were gripping tightly onto his escape pod device. But, it wasn't his. It was red.

"Leo...Where's Raphael?" He asked again, his eyes lowering with concern. Donnie was ignored once again.

Leo's gaze drifted around his brother's lab, finally landing on his target.

You.

"Y/N..." He whispered. You were standing off to the side, your own gaze fixated on him coldly. Your arms were tightly crossed and your body language said many things. Mostly dissatisfaction.

"What the hell was that?" You suddenly asked, staring at him. Leo's forehead lowered, his expression going dark, "We need to go back. Raph's in danger. They have him."

"No, Leo. WE had him. We had each other! He told us to fall back, why didn't you listen?" You questioned, voice quaking.

Their new comrade, Casey Jones, watched his masters from afar. "We could've stopped them!-" "NO! YOU WANTED TO STOP THEM! BUT, IT'S NOT ABOUT YOU!" You screamed. A flurry of emotions hit you like a freight train. It hurt. Everything hurt. "I...I was only trying to be a good leader. I didn't kn-"

"YOU'RE NOT THE LEADER LEO! YOU DON'T GIVE ORDERS! DO YOU EVEN SEE WHAT THE FUCK YOU'VE DONE?" You shouted, pointing behind him. He turned, looking solemnly at his friends and family.

His father laying almost lifeless on the ground.

His brothers having cuts across their cheeks and arms.

His sister's skin littered in bruises and her curly hair now a giant mess.

His alleged student looking at him for answers.

"Look, we don't have time for this. We have to-" "Didn't you mean what you said?" You stopped him, eyes full of tears and something else. Something Leo didn't recognize nor think he'd ever witness in you. Boiling rage.

"What?..."

"You said it yourself. You're willing to risk the lives of your family for your own needs. You meant it didn't you?" You said, standing in front of him. Leo began to grow irritated. Why didn't you understand? "I knew exactly what the hell I was doing." He said, pursing his lips and glaring at you. All he got was a laugh. An amused, dry one. "Yeah, sure. Master Leonardo knew exactly what he was doing." You mocked him.

"He knew we would fight some damn aliens from god-knows where. He knew that we had no plan. He knew we'd nearly be killed. HE KNEW THAT HE'D IGNORE EVERYONE, AS USUAL, AND GET HIS BROTHER TAKEN! HE KNEW, DIDN'T HE?"

Leo was silent as you yelled, staring down at his feet. "You're just some selfish, arrogant idiot who only cares about what he thinks. You always have been." You expressed all of your emotions in words.

"I know what's best for all of us. You just can't seem to see that." He replied with a sneer. "Wow..." You were shocked. Was he actually serious? You stumbled back a bit, then gave a nearly silent chuckle as more tears ran down your cheek.

"Fuck you, Leo."

You walked away, feeling everyone's eyes follow your receding figure through the doors of Donnie's lab.

Rise turtles going to Highschool HCs

Leo

I think he’s really the most versatile of the turtles in rise. He would probably be the one kid trying everything out (maybe not for long but he still looked into it). He’d probably be in a couple sports, and join some clubs briefly. He would also probably check out things like chess club, dnd club, photography, writing club, track, basketball, volleyball, newspaper, yearbook, and anything else that sounds like it could be fun. He auditions for any play/musical he can, partially to continue his rivalry with Donnie. His one true love is sports med though. In regards to grades, I think Leo would do pretty well. He might have a C or D here and there but he does put in effort (he just hates asking for help).

Raph

Raph is obviously a sports guy. He would do mainly football, and everyone in the team would love him because he’s just so genuinely nice. He also seems like the type to join something just to hang out with friends. He tried writing club because his friend said he might like it. He tried sports med with Leo. He got a small role in a play with Donnie and Leo once and was so proud of himself. One of his friends asked him to check out cooking club with her and Mikey, and he didn’t do very well, but he still had fun. Dude is just here for the ride. As for his grades, he would be a bit scatterbrained in class, but would still work really hard to keep his grades up. His brothers would happily help him.

Donnie

He knows what he likes and sticks to it. Joins tech, robotics, chemistry, anything that scratches the hyper fixation itch. The one time he tried something new was when April had him try drama club and he found a new way to use his flair. A lot of his cast mates would probably not adore having him around, but he has talent and energy that get the job done. As for grades, STEM stuff he’s got in the bag, history is kinda iffy, but he manages, and he hates English/Language Arts. The one time he enjoyed an ELA project was when he did a book report on a book of his choice: a book on The Manhattan Project. He would keep his grades up in those classes just to satisfy his own perfectionism. He’s not quite in need of an IEP, but Splinter Emails teachers (to the best of his ability) to let them know that Donnie has Autism and needs a bit of slack.

Mikey

Arts kid. All the way. He would try band, choir, photography, art, culinary arts, heck, even floral design. He would love anything that brought out his sparkle. He would have a hard time getting some of the credits he needed to graduate, but he would manage eventually. He would help with set pieces for drama, and take part in anything that sounded artistic. In regards to grades I think there’s a chance he could need an IEP, so he could have extra help and time with stuff that he didn’t enjoy. School would stress him out and being neurodivergent would not be very easy in a situation like that. He would try his darndest to keep up good grades, and the brothers would definitely help him with his tough spots.

Alright I’m gonna say something you can agree with or not but

I despise 2012 April’s character design for one

I don’t like her outfit it’s kinda bland and I just don’t like it

For two I am good with her having red hair but I wish they put a little more depth into it safe to say I decided to redesign and change 2012 April o Neil

April O Neil!!!

Okay so I had some ideas for this April

1. She is a 16 year old like in 2012 version

2:

SHE IS NOT A PHYSIC or moves things with her mind

Or half krang she is a regular human girl

She has dreams to become a journalist she is apart of her high school journalism club and also in a turtle club (that she made)

I like the idea that she has a hyper fixation with turtles so when she meets the turtles like Donnie and everyone else she is not scared no she is like fangirling asking them questions on diet what type of turtles they are

Unlike 2012 April my April treats Donnie with a lot more respect instead of like leading him on she’s kinda brain dead that he even likes her

She doesn’t fight alongside them but she is crafty making little trinkets to confuse enemies she is the inside gal getting the info instead of doing the fighting

She is very energetic and hyperactive she is a high functioning autistic she is though a huge extrovert

Her mother isn’t part krang she is a regular woman she is a biologist but did have a part in studying the krang they were furious of being taken and tested on so they kidnapped Aprils mom her dad is protective but helps her and the turtles

Now the relationships she has with the turtles well start with Donnie

Donnie: April and Donnie out of all the turtles are the closest she is always asking questions about his inventions Donnie (obviously) has a crush on her because of this she is so well…energetic sometimes it’s hard for him to handle her but he cares about her

(Though they don’t end up together)

Leo : honestly Leo and April are honestly like a father trying his daughter not to get killed and always tries to make sure she doesn’t well die he is impressed by her ability to learn quickly and also her ability to be able to get some interesting information from her love of studying she is able to look into the latest news info because of her dad being a reporter

Raph:

Honestly when raph first met April he was scared not because she was human but how energetic she is she is always asking him questions about everything and raph gets a little annoyed but he does have to admit he respects her fighting spirit..

And the youngest

Mikey honestly these two are peas in a pod they both had chaotic younger sibling energy April likes to teach Mikey different things since he enjoys being around her she also loves ice cream kitty and honestly gets along

I hope you all like this interpretation of April I wanted to give her more personality I guess

And do my boi Donnie justice…

Because I just hate how April lead him on I prefer well 2018 April which I kinda based her off

I have a bunch of silly hcs!

I think Leo really likes nikujaga. It's also the only thing he really knows how to make, it is a pretty simple dish. I also think he enjoys neko manma but he's alone in that, everyone else thinks it's kinda bleh

Meanwhile Donnie just heats up those instant curry packets that have the sauce and vegetables in it. Some days, sure, maybe he'll make it properly with the roux blocks, but sometimes he prefers the quicker way. I also drew a headcanon here that sometimes he goes through these bursts where he just. eats curry rice for every meal

The twins are not that good in the kitchen. They're not about to burn anything down, but they're not super amazing at it and they're not cooking for everybody, just themselves.

Raph is an ok cook. He was probably the one cooking before Mikey was allowed in the kitchen. Again he's not super amazing, but he's def better than Leo and Don. He's surprisingly dexterous and he loves making tamagoyaki! I also hc that he loves oyakodon!

Mikey ofcourse, the absolute kitchen wizard that he is, loves making his brothers' favorites as often as he can when he has the ingredients to make them. I also think he likes omurice mostly because of that thing people do where they draw on the omelette with ketchup. But his absolute most favorite is eggplant agebitashi!

Mikey likes to watch those quiet videos on YouTube of Japanese housewives making elaborate bento boxes. It's like when you see a dollhouse being put together and all the parts are in place. He's kind of fixated on the image of a Japanese breakfast for the same reason, because it's a bunch of smaller dishes in a set. It's a strange thing to dream about, and he's not one to dwell on the "what-ifs" of a human life like some of his other brothers, but when he does, it's always about cooking, or food. Like grocery shopping or making lunch to bring and eat at school.

cassandra: snarky, sarcastic, intelligent, isn't afraid to share opinions of people, free spirit, enjoying adventures, willing to bend rules for loved ones, insecurities in how they are seen, trust issues, sadistic, eager to prove they are more than everyone says, struggles to read between the lines, longs to be listened to and taken seriously.

jack: implusive, curious, fixates on projects, defiant, sound logic but questionable reasonings, oblivious to feelings, punishes foes for harming loved ones, enjoys making new discoveries.

entrapta: loves tech, understands tech more than people, happy as long as they can work on tech, sees failure as an opportunity to learn, one-track mind, guilt over not understanding other people, eager to impress, cares for loved ones, believes tech would be only reason people like them.

entrapta and donnie are my favourite match of this one 🫶

My very first post using my art. Oh boy…

It’s not good but I wanted to share this here for Autism Awareness Month. A tribute piece to the series/ characters that mean the world to me. I adore both One Piece and TMNT, they got me through some of the worst things I’ve ever had to endure.

Brook is a character that tends to be forgotten in the grander scale of the One Piece world, but this wacky skeleton saved my life. I’ve been reading/ watching this series since 2012 and Brook was the main reason why I became a fan. He’s not the most popular, he’s not an uber strong mega warrior, he’s a rockstar with a heart of gold ( IF HE HAD ONE, Skull Joke! 🤣 ) that, no matter how hard things have been for him, he pushed forward and keeps going. He keeps living. He keeps striving to live to see the friend he left behind. And there’s something impactful in that message, to me.

As for TMNT, I’ve been a fan since the 2007 movie. I saw it in theaters as a kid, but it wasn’t until November that I got back into it. It pulled me out of a really stressful event and got the past few months, I’ve been in a fun loop of turtles. The 2012 and Rise versions are my personal favorites in terms of art/ storytelling.

2012 Leo is my favorite turtle. He’s such an anxious nerd who only wants to be the best ninja he can be. He struggles with being a leader, a good son, even pushing himself too far to be the wise older brother his family needs him to be. He had the weight of the world on his shoulders all the time and bares it alone a majority of the time, but he still makes time to be there for his brothers, to support them, to cheer them on. He wants to protect everyone and he fights to keep them safe… but despite the odds he still gets back up and stands for his loved ones. This poor baby needs all the hugs 🥺

And Rise Donnie is something very special 🤣🤣 There’s only two characters in media that I’ve related to, and he’s one of them. As an autistic woman who rarely finds autistic coded characters accurate in most shows, the writers nailed it with him. He’s quirky, he hyper fixates on the things he adores, he sticks to using his tech bō because he doesn’t like change and ITS REAL. It never once feels forced, and the little things he does like verbally pronouncing his actions or dancing just because??? ITS REAL. I literally pointed to the TV and said ‘THATS ME!’ Not since Dragon Age: Inquisition have I done such a thing, and all I have to say to the Rise writers is, hats off to you. You brought Donnie to life and you pulled it off phenomenally.

This is why I love these franchises and these characters. They got me through so much and have improved my life for the better. I hope you liked this! I know my art isn’t the greatest but I worked on this sketch for hours 😅
