You were having a hard time recently. You and your boyfriend had finally gotten the go ahead to make your relationship public from his company. You wanted this, to let everyone know you were his, and you had gotten tons of support from fans, but there was still the hate.

The hate was small at first, a negative comment here and there. You knew this was going to happen, you just weren’t prepared for how much it would actually affect you.

You went from laughing it off, to it making you insecure, to crying. The post about you, the comments about how “ugly” and “fat” you are. The numerous tweets that criticize every single thing you do. It made every last day feel like hell.

Now you were here, reading the comments you swore that you would stop reading as streams of tears ran down your face. You know you shouldn’t be doing this, that it’s not good for you. But you can’t help but feel like you somehow deserved this.

“Y/n, im home!” You heard Minho’s voice say. Fuck. He must have gotten off of work early, he’s not supposed to be home for another hour.

You quickly try to gather yourself as you hear him put down his bag, walking towards the door. You tuck your phone away, before looking for someway to cover your face, but he was already at the door.

“Y/n, how was your d-“ he stops as he takes in your expression. Your eyes were puffy and red, and you just had a genuinely tired look on your face.

“Baby, what’s wrong?” He asks, trying to find out why you appeared as if you had been crying, and most importantly, why you were trying to hide it from him.

“I was reading comments about me, and it made me start thinking. I don’t deserve you. You deserve better than me, you could be dating any other person, but you’re dating me. You reconnected your eyes with his, feeling a little guilty when you saw a fresh tear roll out of Minho’s eyes.

When he didn’t respond, a pit of worry built in your stomach. You thought this was the moment that he was going to admit that everything the comments said were in fact true.

You tried to pull away, but his firm arms kept you in place. You looked away, ashamed to even be in his presence, but he brought up a hand and turned your face towards his.

After these few months, once as the two enjoy spending evening together, they hear a ring to the door. They come out to that balcony and see Lute standing in the middle of the garden. She calls out to Adam to come back with her. Adam seems excited that his hope and his lieutant didnt let him down. But reader doesnt want to let Adam go. Adam complained from time to time that "what if heaven forgot about him and accepted the fact he is dead" And also reader knows Adams past from Eden. And suddenly reader switches from a chill guy to a serious manipulative persona. He starts to tell Adam things like "and it would take them so long to get you back? They dont really want you there", also mentioning how Lilith and Eve left him before, to hit Adams weak point. Adam, shocked by his bf suddenly mood switch and his serious harsh words, knowing how he have been acting in heaven, doesnt even realise the act of a fucking cruel, possesive manipulation and gives in, shouts at Lute to fuck off and he wont get back where nobody truly wants him. As they get back into the room, Adam from angry comes to sad and curles up into a broken, depressed ball of misery. Before Adam there had been loneliness and coldness, before Adam, there had been long nights and even longer days, before Adam there had been a lot of things and all of them were negative.

But having an angel roaming your halls certainly was not what you had planned for your life in Hell, but said angel definitely brightened your days - even though he was a - well let’s call him a special case. Adam wasn’t at all like the angels portrayed in stories, he was rude and harsh, respected no one but himself and the brunette loved to cause chaos on top of it all.

But to everyone’s surprise, the brunette angel settled in somewhat nicely once he realized that Heaven would not send their angels to bring him back, he even got used to having you around. Well, maybe the wording ‘he got used’ isn’t entirely fitting, Adam even enjoyed your company, sometimes he specifically requested it - when he was playing guitar for example. The first man was keeping you on your feet and moving at all times, that was for sure and if you were being honest, you didn’t mind it. It was a nice change from your boring, lonely life in Hell.

And even though Adam had everything he needed and wanted - you very obviously made sure that the angel never missed anything - you knew that he wasn’t doing as well with his new life in Hell as he pretended. Adam was a loud and cheerful guy, so when he went quiet for longer, of course you noticed. There was nothing you were capable of doing to help him through those times - he was simply homesick for Heaven. When things got really bad, you were even able to catch him praying before going to bed, praying to the creature he called father to bring him back, to send him Lute who would escort him back to Heaven, straight through the pearly gates without any complications - but that wasn’t happening. Every being had their reason to live in Hell, even Adam.

“Adam?” you asked with a soft voice, wrapping your arms around the first man’s torso from behind as you leaned your head against his shoulder blade. The man in your arms flinched at first, he had been lost in his thoughts and your touch caused him to snap right out of it. A slightly confused “Huh? fell from his lips before he looked over his shoulder to spot you. The confusion in his eyes was overplayed by an emotion you couldn’t name and the usual grin Adam somehow always managed to shoot in your direction laid on his lips. “Can’t get enough of me again, huh you shithead?” His words were teasing and not the slightest bit serious which caused you to chuckle softly. “You seemed lost,” you answered instead of agreeing with him, knowing damn well that his ego was already huge - bigger than Adam’s body.

Adam grumbled words you weren’t able to understand, then turned away and stepped away from the hug you had offered him. He didn’t want to talk about it - again. And that probably bothered you even more than the fact that he longed for Heaven’s pearly gates. You were fine with Adam having hopes and dreams, it’s not something you would be able to take from him, even if you wanted to, but he never talked about it. The only reason why you were aware of the Eden incident was because of the bible - Adam never talked about anything that involved his past, at least not about the negative things. What you did know was that he missed his band mates and playing gigs with them and that his lieutenant seemed to be a crazy bitch he liked a lot - not in a romantic way but rather in a platonic way, maybe he saw her as some sort of little sister, you weren’t sure.

You sighed as you watched Adam go. He needed time and you would not deny him that.

Lute was walking up and down in Sera’s office, explaining her detailed plan on how they would get Adam back - she hoped it would be quite easy because Adam never actively fell, he had never truly died. So technically there was still divine blood pumping through his body which would let him cross the pearly gates back home. Sera sighed at Lute’s idea, rested her head on her hands and watched as Adam’s former lieutenant never stopped walking.

“Lute,” she interrupted the exorcist who stopped in her tracks to look at the tall seraphim angel, Lute clearly had not expected Sera to interrupt her. “We can’t bring Adam back, he is gone,” she explained as the seraphim slowly got up from her chair and crossed the room to face Lute properly. The white haired woman was not having it though, she stood up for herself, “You’re wrong.”

It was only a few hours later that Lute flew through one of the shiny golden portals and landed right in front of your house. She knocked against the door quite loudly, even kicked and slammed her shoulder against it, “Adam!”

You turned your head as you heard an unfamiliar voice calling out for the person of your desire and watched as Adam rushed over to the balcony. What the fuck was going on and who was calling for your lover? You followed Adam with heavy steps. Once you stopped right next to the tall and loud angel you wrapped your arm around him as you looked down only to see a woman you had never seen before - she appeared to be an angel too and you instantly feared for the worst.

“Lute!” he yelled back and was about to jump off the balcony to get to her, but you stopped him by tightening the grip on his hips, a little confused he looked down at your hand, then his eyes met yours, “Y/N?” he asked quietly so his former lieutenant wouldn’t hear. You immediately knew you wanted him to stay with you, there really was no way you would ever let Adam leave again, not when he was very much able to stay with you for the rest of eternity. And it wasn’t that you weren’t aware of how wrong that seemed, but it had been long since the last little toy that brought you happiness and joy, so you would hold onto Adam for as long as possible.

You simply shook your head and pulled him a little closer against your side, “If they truly want you back, then why would it take them so long to come and get you?” That caused Adam to close his mouth and he seemed to genuinely think about your words - he came to the conclusion that you had a point.

“C’mon Sir,” Lute yelled up at the balcony where you and Adam stood, “We’re going home.” Unsure eyes roamed over your body and you could feel that Adam waited for you to say something, you were right after all, why would Heaven wait so awfully long to bring him back? The expression on your face was blank and your usually soft sounding voice turned bitter and cold, “She wants to take you from me, Adam. She wants to separate us like Lucifer separated you from your past wives.” And that caused Adam to freeze, he slowly backed away from the railing of the balcony. “Darling, she could have taken you back ages ago, yet she waited - for what though? She seems to be out for power and she realized that you are the only powerful thing she can possess and get away with at the same time, all while she can stay in Heaven,” you hummed as you backed off alongside Adam, slowly guiding the golden winged angel back inside.

“Fuck off, you can go back to crawling up Sera’s fucking ass, I ain’t coming with you, cunt,” the brunette in your arm yelled and flipped the smaller angel in your garden off. A victorious grin appeared on your lips, your plan was working out just fine.

The door to the balcony fell shut and you heard how Adam crashed down onto the couch, he laid there, face buried in the soft fabric it was covered in and his wings were tightly wrapped around his body to isolate him from his surroundings. He looked so miserable, so helpless, so lonely and you hated seeing the usually loud angel so quiet. Your voice softened a little as you sat down next to Adam, you had forced him to stay simply because you wanted him to stay, now the least you could do was to lure him into the thought of protection and a good, bright life.

“Hey now,” you mumbled quietly as your fingers combed through Adam’s soft brown and messy hair, pushing it out of his face - his face which was still pressed against the couch. Your other hand gently moved up and down Adam’s back and when you heard the brunette sigh, you knew you had him wrapped around your finger just fine. “Noone will hurt you, not if you continue to stay with me,” you hummed, the tone you spoke in remained soft and calming and when you saw how Adam lifted his head to look at you, your heart did shatter a little.

His eyes were red, slightly puffy and his lip was quivering. The first man moved his head from the couch to your lap, pressed his face tightly against your belly and cried - it was the first time he was showing so strong and overwhelming emotions. His nails dug into your sides as he held onto your waist to keep you close, to feel you under his hands and to keep you from leaving like everyone else did, he wanted you to stay just as much as he wanted to stay with you.

And the worst yet best part of it all was that the brunette hadn’t even noticed how manipulative your words were, let alone your soft, comforting actions. Hey! You said you were Indian and I saw in another post you said you don’t talk to ppl much about ur astrology interest bc it’s too woo woo and seen as something of older generations (pls correct me if I’m wrong!). I just wanted to ask what the general attitude of Vedic astrology is India ? I imagine it would be hard to generalise just considering how many sects of Hinduism there are and how huge India is. Also this may be silly (and I hope I don’t sound ignorant) but do you learn about it at school? Not necessarily in a religious way but like from an academic, historical way? I live in Europe for example and I go to a historically catholic university, and so I have a course on ancient Roman religion which ofc doesn’t have much to do with our modern context or anything, but inadvertently we do learn about astrological signs and their archetypes. Just wondering if there would be an equivalent in Indian schools?

Yes I did indeed say those things. India is a large country and a country of a billion people. Astrology is a big part of Hindu culture. Some people are more religious than others and more superstitious than others. Astrology is not synonymous with religion tho. Its a part of it but not all religious people are going to also be deeply invested in astrology? Many people are but its not necessary. However, astrology is very important in certain areas of life, when fixing a marriage for example; since arranged marriages are common in India, astrologers are consulted (and being an astrologer is a real job here too) to draw up the synastry chart (we call it kundli milan which kind of means chart matching?? very literal lol, its to see how much your charts match with each other) and its a very elaborate process and on many occasions marriages don't take place because the kundlis dont vibe well or because it spells doom and gloom (indian astrologers can be vvv black and white, they will literally say "if you marry xyz, you will die a painful death etc although in many traditions its forbidden to predict death??), astrology is also used to fix a muhurat which means the most auspicious time to perform that activity? suppose you're constructing a house or moving into a home or getting married or sometimes even with elective C section, people choose the date based on the astrology of it (after consulting an astrologer)

regardless of caste or sects, astrology is kind of deeply permeated into Hindu culture and even many non Hindus are invested in it. contrary to what popular depictions of India may have you believe, religious syncretism is very much alive and has long been a part of Indian culture. so many Hindus go to dargahs, celebrate muslim festivals and many muslims celebrate hindu festivals and go to temples and there are many other religions in india as well and everybody kind of has a mish-mash of many different belief systems. but i would say upper caste Hindus can often be more "puritan" in their practices and beliefs and less willing to embrace others. all that said, for a lot of people, especially the younger generations (more than 50% of indians are below the age of 25) astrology is tied to superstition simply because for many many years, astrology has been used in many damaging ways.

indian astrologers can make very black and white predictions and since Indians in general love to be fatalistic and believe things are predetermined at birth, astrology negatively feeds this attitude and often punishes people who've done nothing wrong (here's an article that goes into some of it) an astrologer can say that your cousin will negatively impact your business and some people will go out on a limb and murder that cousin 💀💀im not in the slightest bit exaggerating when i say that people often take astrological predictions to the extremes in india. esp in the context of arranged marriage, it often happens that the person who is a perfect astrological match for you is some 34yr old man with a pedo stache (and you're 20 and the astrologer predicts that if you dont get married by 23 your family's luck will be ruined) so astrology is majorly practiced in ways that are demoralising and fcked up. this is why people think youre kind of insane or stupid or straight up fcked in the head if they know you believe in or practice astrology. its hard to try to explain to them that im more into decoding patterns based on the mythology of the stars and understanding the more philosophical and symbolic meaning of nakshatras *sigh*

no we dont study astrology in schools and its not looked at as a "legitimate" study either. spirituality is largely looked at as a scam in india because we have sooo many fake gurus and fake astrologers peddling their bs. astrology and spirituality are also heavily gatekept. many believe in it but they dont study it even if they practice it lol

i sympathise for people who like snape, i do. i do not sympathise for those who attempt to justify or excuse his actions. this normally comes with a side dish of misogyny, because more often than not they will find a way to blame it on lily. other times, they will blame his trauma. i want to be clear: his trauma explains his actions, it doesn't excuse them. that is the whole point of him ruining his chances with lily (not even as a lover, but as a companion). you are doing your own injustice to his character by trying to make him innocent, please stop

Your perspective makes things seem easy but imo when changing something like your appearence it can be very tricky to accept your desire as real in the 4d while the 3d is still loading. Pls dont feel like im dumping my negativity onto your tumblr but like I have bdd and today Im gonna miss ANOTHER party because i look disgusting and dont want anyone taking my pictures. I understand where you're coming from, even though loa is a simple concept to work with it's still not easy for people because you're changing your whole view on life and breaking habits you've been taught since birth and I'm sorry you're going through a tough time. This is why I advice ppl to NEVER blame or bully themselves for spiraling and being human, that is normal.

However the reason why people may find it hard to live in the 4D and when they do only spiral bc of the 3D is because they still believe they are an outer man, meaning they have read loa but don't fully understand it or have not yet accepted it. Licing in your imagination is somthing you should want to do, not force yourself to do until you feel bad.

Like Neville said when he addressed this, words themselves have no power without you, so using affirming as a way to "get things" only leads to more lack because that's what they have accepted from the beginning. You could live in the 4D, have a perfect life and take amazing pictures, but if you don't see it as real you're going to feel delusional and feel like you're forcing yourself to "be something you're not" which will make you sprial and give up.

Trust me I have been through the affirming thing, other techniques too that never worked for me, when i entered the wish fulfilled state once, it was the most amazing feeling in my life because I did not care what the 3D was showing in the slightest, it was automatic. These problems that relate to "the 3D", persisting, negative thoughts and "how will it come abt" take care of themselves and dissappear when you put yourself first by fulfilling yourself with whatever it is you desire. To give yourself what you want and be gentle is to love yourself, to trust imagination is to trust yourself. You never ever, try to push your emotions away.

However I have no experience with BPD so I really do not have any specific advice, nor a relatable experience, therefore if this does not resonate with you than that that is totally ok 💕 I hope no one feels like they have to take my words as gospel and degrade themselves over their mental health and push it away. Always do what you feel is easiest and best for you. Take care💐

I will be honest, since you both have this small problem of awkwardness and being seen as intimidating about it, I kinda thought you and Cyno were similar on that regard. Two negatives can only make a positive, if math doesn't fail us. Cyno is also as observant as you are, always conscious of people and his sorroundings.

After warming up he is a bit more chill as he is with his friends, also a pleasant company to have (excluding the dad jokes, unfortunately you gotta be patient with them). Don't be worried about telling him what's bothering you: Cyno is a smart man in my opinion, as many who come out the Akademiya, maybe not academically or book smart, but I know he can use logic and rationality enough to help you.

Also, you said about horror and abandoned spaces? How about desert dates? Cyno knows desert well enough (otherwise why would he be shirtless all time) to go back and forth to the desert when he has free time at hand. I know it looks like a chore because all the walking, the sand and the sun, but he can be well prepared! With all the pyramids around the desert and abandoned tombs, he would have a lot of scary stories about possessions and curses to tell while you explore around. Also during the night, wouldn't be sweet to look at the night sky at the oasis?

Also about your little running from problems, I don't think Cyno would be one to let you metaphorically run away. You can try but you can't run. I know it sounds bad saying it this way but Cyno is a blunt man, and confrontation isn't something he's scared of for sure, and quick to notice your any change in your attitude and also quick to confront you about it as soon as possible.

This is my option not facts. Just what I think are red flags or stuff I read once and dip bc I don’t like it. Blah blah blah, if your feelings get hurt cry about! Love y’all tho <3

I read and enjoy X Readers! So some will be X Reader specific rules!

Section 1: Judging a book by its cover (and its description):

1. When it has no cover. Like I get it, I make my own and they suuuckk but come on. Try? If ya didn’t try for the cover you probably didn’t try with the book so I’m moving on. Sorry.

2. When their is no description. Negative points if it says “read to find out” or “too lazy for a description.” I DONT KNOW WHAT IM READING BC THEIRS NO DESC SO WHY WOULD I READ IT!?

2. Emojis in Description. That’s when you know it’s written on a phone and I don’t care. A bunch of great ffs were written on phone. But that screams younger person to me and no offense but only y’all would use emojis. PLUSH I HATE HOW THEY TAKE AWAY FROM THE STORY?! I’ll be reading and then I’ll be a

3. When the title and desc have nothing to do with the story. Shit will be titled “ghost of you </3” or “broken promises” and have nothing to do with ghost or dead people or anything of the sort. AND have nothing to do with broken promises. Like why is it titled that way when it has nothing to do with the story??

1. When the author uses an OC instead of Y/N. I’ve written for Y/N! Almost exclusively! It isn’t hard! And y’all will sit their and say it is. ALL WHILE TAGGING YOUR SHIT WITH Y/N? OR READER? READER INSERT, X READER? Then her name is Luna or some shit.

1.5. When the author uses an OC instead of Y/N. Back at it again but this time your SO close. Then you give her blue hair or green eyes and pale skin. YOU USE Y/N BUT YOU GIVE HER AN APPEARANCE! And your so close to being right it hurts.

3. More notes the story. I get it. You want to talk with ppl reading your books, you know it’s fun to see comments and stuff! But I didn’t come here for your life updates and stuff. Sorry but I came to read my SpongeBob x Reader not for 7 A/Ns in a row! If it isn’t related to the book, don’t add it to the book. If it is, don’t make the Authors note SEVEN DIFFERENT CHAPTERS!

4. Sigh. When the character dialogue looks like this:

I don’t Care if it’s the best written story in the world. It could have the most moving chapters but. No. I just can’t. It’s diifrent if the characters are texting or doing something else but this isn’t it. Pls stop.

5. Emojis. Again. Okay, I just hate emojis on fanfictions. Like cool! Awesome. But come on! Even if the characters are texting it takes me out of the story.

6. Stories that haven’t been updated in FOREVER. Look at the last updated thing BEFORE YOU READ. It’s always the best fanfictions so I’d advise to not get into it if your not prepared for heartbreak when you get to the not really last chapter but last chapter.PLEASE UPDATE!

7. When the author is arguing with people on the comments. You could be right. But if leaves a bad taste in my mouth that your entertaining the trolls and didn’t just delete the comment. And if your wrong and fight with me or someone I’m on the side of? Haha I’m out, dipped.

8. I hate it when people will tag stuff just to complain about something. Like stfu I came here for bnha Not your complaint about how the omegavere is sexist and “how can anyone read this??”. Firstly, Don’t like it don’t read it. It’s simple but secound of all HOW COME ITS TAGES BHNA? LEAVE ME ALONE IM JUST TRYING TO READ MIDORYA ANGST!!

8. When someone gets pressed OVER FANFICTION LMAO! Like it’ll be a fanfiction about suicide. I get it. It’s a hard topic, I myself have struggled with it in the past. Trying to commit 5 separate times. I clicked on the fanfiction myself bc it helps sometimes. BUT THEN SOME DUMBASS WITH BE IN THE COMMENTS “this is romanticizing suicide HOW COULD YOU?”

LIKE STFU it isn’t for you! Again! Don’t like it don’t read it! It HELPS some people cope with it. Like myself!stuff like that CAN help people cope with stuff! You don’t know who’s writing it, you don’t know who’s reading it. If you can’t read it, don’t. But leave it alone. It helps, even if you don’t think so it does.

Fanfiction shit I don’t mind. (This is mostly me making fun of you now)

1. I’ve grown past spelling errors. My mind autocorrects them for me. Their apart of fanfiction! Deal with it! I’m so tired of seeing ppl complaining about it. Like if it’s really bad (like can’t understand the word bad) then fine, sure. But if it’s just something like “the vhair moved forward scratching the wooden floor below it” then move on! ONE OF YALL can call it out. But if it’s the whole comment section just know your a bit annoying.

2. Op main characters. Ima be really honest here. Y’all will hate so fast on a op main character. Screaming “Mary Sue! Mary Sue!” When the character genuinely has flaws and is interesting beyond their powers and shit. Can’t a main character just start off strong? I swear sometimes the main character is weak asf and their are still comments being like “she’s kinda op can we make her weaker?” Or some dif way of saying it. The my hero ff commenters are the worst with this. OC/Y/n could actually have “heart attack” as a weakness and the comments will still be on about how she’s too strong.

Personally I like really strong main characters, Sue me.

I dont know what made all these negative anons come out of the woodwork suddenly, but know that they are in the extreme minority here. I think that I speak for myself and a lot of shyer readers that your stories are really important to all of us.

I don’t think you expect too much when it comes to feedback, I think it just can be easy to forget sometimes as a reader to actually give it properly, and I think that’s something we most definitely need to get better at, but it says nothing about your writing whatsoever. it unfortunately happens to a lot of writers especially on tumblr, and it really is not a reflection on you or any of them as writers. but it is ofc still hard to not receive the feedback you deserve 💗💗

Like my god I even kind of felt sympathetic towards sera in sn (not the chamomile tea incident that was plain vile) because I can get her side of the story which you tried to explain so much when you wrote about her situation at home, her need for money, etc.

Yes a lot of her actions with gojo were completely wrong and in that time I sided with yn obv because it wasn't fair to her but at the same time I considered her as a character who has two sides of the story and not just one where she was looking like she wanted to destroy another woman's life

In the same way I can understand utahime as well because you wrote about her side of the story as well. And it's honestly ENOUGH for me to consider her not a plain evil person and just someone who wants love and her own stuff from life.

Its obv unfortunate that the one utahime wants is the ex husband of her bestf but honestly if I've learned anything, it's that sometimes you cannot help who you fall in love with. (This is controversial but honestly I've been in yn's shoes in my life and that is how I'm forming an opinion on it)

Again the thing I completely disagree with, is her not telling yn sooner about her and satoru. This was wrong.

Again I will forever remember how satoru treated her in sn and how much she mentally and physically suffered during that period. I was crying while reading guys pls don't get me wrong I'm not trying to defend his actions. I was really mad at satoru during an era. And I recognize that he only came to yn after she started to not give a fuck but here's the thing (maybe controversial)- he suffered. He became fucking su*cidal because because he was made to believe that he lost his child. That is in my opinion enough of a punishment for him. This is my interpretation because as a reader, my emotions and opinions for characters change with changing circumstances.

And yn. I will forever have a soft spot for her and I just want her to be happy because she deserves it. She's also just human and I dont really know what to say but wish for her happiness.

But here's the last thing. It's a story. And its angst. And its saint's story. AND SHE CAN DECIDE WHAT TO DO WITH HER STORY, THE CHARACTERS, THE PLOT AND EVERYTHING.

LITERALLY THE ONLY THING WE CAN DO IS READ FUCKING PROPERLY TO UNDERSTAND WHAT SHE'S TRYING TO POTRAY. ITS THE BEARE MINIMUM. THEN WILL COME OUR OWN OPINIONS BASED ON OUR OWN EXPERIENCES IN LIFE BUT FIRST, WE CAN TRY TO NOT INVALIDATE ALL OTHER POINTS JUST TO PUSH OUR OPINIONS ON HER.

And saint has said time and time again that these characters are imperfect. They're human. They hurt and get hurt.

The least we can do is not invalidate what she says and be respectful to her and the characters while saying something.

Honestly I don’t know where all this hate came from :c sn had it too, but it’s seems out of control since sy started! Since wattpad came into our lives it seems like there’s a small community of readers that feel entitled to demand what they want from the story, but this is not ours, it’s yours!

And I don’t know the age range of people who read sn/sy, I’ll hope it’s +18 since your blog ask minors not to interact, and I see a lot of Euphoria fans (and the show is +18 too) but a lot of negative readers and ask doesn’t really sound mature enough to understand that a lot of what’s happening in the story is a response of the environment/context/history etc of sn, so instead of painting villains every chapter maybe you should wait and judge when the story ends, really, if you don’t have something nice to say, just don’t

hiya im new to the mdzs fandom... I actually got into it by watching c/ql cause i dint know that there was more... I've read the novel and I started reading the manhua cause more content is life... No problem with asking a question. If tumblr had a better archiving capacity or if it was easier to search a blog, I'd probably redirect you to posts I've written before. But to summarise, I do not "hate" c/ql, I simply 1) am not blind to its fault as a stand-alone work and as an adaptation, and am interested in discussing in a blunt manner the way it fails to adapt different aspects of the novel which will of course bring into discussion the much weaker writing, 2) became slowly embittered by the fandom and the absolutely wild things people say about the series, the novel or just the characters in general--something I've never been able to avoid because the western fandom does not know how to fucking tag shit to keep them separated because c/ql changes too much (for many reasons) to continue to be compared or treated as the same as the original work. I mean just yesterday I saw a post by someone recommending "mdzs" and tagged "mdzs" and it was about.... c/ql. And my knee-jerk reactions to these takes in fandom now is not necessary "you fill me with rage," it's generally on a scale of "oh, honey, no" to benafflectsmoking.jpeg.

As people who have been following me for a long time know, I've mentioned many times before how I had watched c/ql mostly in 15-minutes chunk on my phone during breaks at work the summer it aired, and how it had been a good help at the time because I was Going Through It needed something to latch unto to distract myself. So of course I was attached to it despite its many fault. I guess part of my mistake was not avoiding the c/ql fandom 🤷‍♂️. But, also, at the end of the day, I just find that c/ql is not a series that holds up to scrutiny or long-term actual engagement with the 'text' of it, which impacts how I was not able to sustain this attachment to it. Let me use a Clueless reference: c/ql is a little bit like a Monet - watch it mindlessly on a phone skipping to deal with the weird pacing and weird scenes, and you can enjoy it; but look any closer.... and what is revealed is a big ol' mess.

But! If you are a person who does not like seeing critical or negative things being said about something they like, then my blog is certainly not for you! As I mention in the bio, "you will most likely be disappointed if you follow this blog for CQL content". Generally I'm also pretty good at tagging them "brine corner" if you still want to follow but don't want to see any of those types of posts. If you are however interested in considering critiques people leverage at things you love, if only as a way to understand these things more or confirm you do not find these criticisms valid, then you can just approach my posts from a pov that I'm not doing this because I hate the series.
