I'm sorry but I don't get people being like "this character only exists as backstory/development/ect. for this other character they're written badly!!!" like? that's literally just the purpose of some characters lmfao

#🎤 mic check #like i always see this take about yuko who is a character i do like to elaborate on and it's like #i don't know not every single person in a character's life needs to be fully fleshed out and elaborated on that's #just not how storytelling works?#like people will see the little bit of character she's given in her RGGO story for example and be like #'wow it's shitty that this character who has no reason to be fleshed out isn't fleshed out'#and not like 'wow it's neat that they gave us a little glimpse into the personality of someone who only existed offscreen'#i guess what i'm trying to say more broadly is #you can elaborate on little details of very minor characters without moaning about how they aren't major characters #you have the wrong mindset
