HUGE day for connor. me and lamp looped this skng os much bc it became one of our copycat things. where we often just sit together sying the same like 8 sentences or lyrics over and over. and this entire sogn went platinum in connor and lamp world. and . sry. if i squint my eyes a LOT it can be abt my ocs. i did make a post abt the mishap but basically me and my mom n lamp and maybe pheebs n maybe anna were driving back from somethingorother recently. idr details. i thot 4th but my dad wasnt there so... but anyways we were talking abt one hit wonders and blondie came up so we xhecked and they actually have a couple including call me but we didnt know if the call me on blondies page was the one that goes CALL ME ! (it is) so i ws like ill put it in the queue and after this song we r listening to it will play the blondie song call me . entirely forgetting i already had stuff in my queue. so we keep being Like om time for the blondie song bc we had been anticipating it and then fucking WOOWA comes on . Not a blondie song if u didnt know. i was mocked viciously by my wicked family members... Anyways and then i listened to this song a lot after that. so yeah. Good song. CALL ME!

i had a rather brief but very strong kpop moment. specifically twice but also a few other songs. like i have a couple kpop songs i like normally but idk i just got rly crazy into like. 3 twice songs and 1 billlie song. and i listened to them exclusively nonstop for a couple days. dont know what it was abt. great song though like i like it... i think its bc i fell into a trap of watching fancams and those like MOST POPULAR MVS EVERY MONTH FOR EVERY YEAR videos. and i was like writing down notes. mostly twice notes evidently.

well i went and made another another kagerou project playlist (really i just edited the same one again) theres a few official orders out there, but i wanted to make my own that i personally thought might be good for newbies. i even included the spoken prologues/epilogues (or whatever you'd call them) from the albums!

if you'd rather listen/watch them in chronological order of release (i'm usually the same way), unfortunately i don't have a list or playlist for that, but you can find that kind of information on the fandom wiki

i tried to find a place for every song, but what's not included are the official covers, which can be found on the album Mekakucity M's (you will likely find it split between "Mekakucity M's 1" and "Mekakucity M's 2") i highly recommend them whether or not you prefer human over vocaloid!

if you dont know what the hell im posting about at all-- the Kagerou Project ("kagepro") is a mixed media series about kids with special powers stuck in a timeloop (simplest way to put it). the full story is told across vocaloid songs, light novels, a manga, an anime, and more. the interesting part is that these different stories are not necessarily adaptations of the same story, but rather depicting different routes/timelines of the timeloop and have different endings. if this playlist interest you, the official order is music -> manga -> novels -> anime, plus an animated short film that has a currently unknown placement (some later songs are likely adaptations of some novel chapters, and frankly i think you could swap novels and manga and not lose out on anything, but i dont want to make it too complicated... anyway) i have been a huge nerd about it for over a decade now so feel free to ask me questions because it is a bit convoluted, not gonna lie, but i love that kind of thing. ok anyway please give it a shot!!

i usually work on my ocs one at a time. and it is flight of the crows' turn

i dont have a proper reference outside of my iterator lineup so this is the best picture i have (that i did draw)

crows IS named after the jhariah song of the same name. im kind of obsessed with jhariah's music and i wanted an iterator inspired it. flight of the crows is also a kickass name. design is also inspired by the colors that he uses in his albums and i do have art of crows (and lost. but i will get to her later) using album palette

crows is one of the older iterators out of my guys (not one of the first few ever made but more like. 2nd-3rd gen iterator, maybe a bit higher depending on how many generations there really were)

crows' city was home to a large population of engineers, which helped improve and revise newer iterator designs. naturally, crows would lean about this as well, and became very invested in the subject

they were eventually skilled enough to alert their ancients to problems before the automated systems they made, or routine checks by the ancients. crows became pretty self-sustaining while they were around

but with them gone, they continued their learning by themselves, designing their own mechanical blueprints in simulations or using their puppets' hands to work with real materials. i imagine their can seems a little dangerous at times, with tools and spare metal and wires, but it is kept organized like pearls are (having control of gravity and all)

personality wise, crows is very reserved. quiet type, really doesn't speak unless prompted to by someone else. when prompted, has very detailed and seemingly well-thought out, calm responses. a great listener, but they tend to keep people at arms length

everyone except 2 people

before the ancients died, crows made contact with an iterator of a different local group (meatcatt's) lost in the dark.

lost's ancients discovered that she was build right on top of a huge pool of void fluid, and was being converted into more of a drillsite. lost was expected to come up with efficient solutions for how to do this, but she wasn't familiar with void drills.

and therefore asked for help in broadcasts. crows responded because they like building things and the two of them worked together on the projects, and also began to naturally know each other beyond the projects. and then were also gay

one day, lost requested assistance with enhancing herself. and crows, a mechanic, naturally agreed. they made and passed blueprints to lost in order to alter her puppet, and eventually their whole structure

however lost's ancients did not take kindly to this at all. and they decided to cull lost before she got very out of control. i imagine it is something crows feels a lot of guilt about, and it is very bottled up

their relationship with my other iterator, chains by summer, was a very close friendship. maybe almost dating but im going to say friends. i think crows often gave advice to summer when his ancients were overbearing or got into spats that they made him decide. i think the others in crows' local group would also come to them for advice, but summer made an attempt to get to know crows better as a person. i imagine he was very persistent on asking how they were feeling and what they were up to in their projects. and crows would share, also choosing to trust summer with a bit of their own feelings. mostly.

there was one project that they kept a secret from them-- and it honestly ended their friendship

with no more ancients, their structures were dying. it would eventually fall, killing some of the older model iterators and leaving the newer ones to rot in a fate worse than death. crows wanted to see if they could escape their rotting body, and live simply as the puppet. it was a very risky ordeal, and crows, knowing summer, knew that he wouldnt take kindly to an idea that had a very high chance of sudden death regardless

so as they were making preparations for their plan, they stopped talking to summer, saying that they were being distracted from their work, and the two of them should just stop.

and after cutting it off with summer, and the rest of their local group, they would lure creatures with dexterous hands (mainly scavengers and slugcats) to find them scrap metal pieces and wire so they could build their own, autonomous tools that they could write code to automatically preform actions (can't reach their umbilical with their hands!)

and eventually it would work. crows needed to learn how to walk and balance with gravity involved, but they could leave their can. as long as they were around centipedes or had electric spears to charge

crows would then go on a journey to free the iterators of their own local group, as well as the local group nearby where lost used to be

summer was the last iterator they freed because they felt awkward. which was really torturous for summer because suddenly all of his iterator pals stopped talking to him and that boy lives on social interaction day to day

They’re all here for different reasons so I’m saying fuck the rules everybody lives! I am an absolute Album Listener like I’m usually in the mood for a specific album and I’ll listen straight through(but maybe skip a couple songs here and there)

1. Montaigne- Complex (This is the first year in like 3 years that Montaigne hasn’t been my number 1 or 2 artist on wrapped but all their albums still absolutely rule but this one is my fave.)

2. The Killers- Sam’s Town (I’ve been a Killers fan since I saw Somebody Told Me on the vh1 top 20 video countdown ��️Hot Fuss is a banger but Sam’s Town holds a special place. Remember when we had song ringtones? The song Sam’s Town from the album Sam’s Town was mine for so long in high school.)

4. Coheed and Cambria- In Keeping Secrets Of Silent Earth 3 (the amount of Coheed I listened to in college was astronomical. For a while they got linked to a shitty time so I couldn’t listen but seeing them in the line up for WWWY is bringing me back babeyyy. 8. Metric- Live It Out (Another HS/College banger. I used to get so anxious during boss/big enemy fights in video games so I would listen to this album and sometimes specifically Monster Hospital on repeat. Sad I don’t like any of Metrics stuff post Fantasies but their early albums are great)

9. One Direction- Made In The AM (if yall haven’t been here for long you missed the 1D years and tbh I’m sad for you it was a fun time. Glad I got in as a fully cooked adult so I could avoid the extremely toxic parts and just have fun. Anyway last album best album when is the hiatus ending boys!!!!!!!!!)

10. Rilo Kiley- The Execution Of All Things(back to HS/college woohoooo! Truly is there anything better than screaming A Better Son/Daughter I DONT THINK SO)

graphic design was fun and i got ta force my music taste on my friend (and i finally listened to her song recs :OOO ok i listened to like a third of the album but ITS PROGRESS)

religion was not so fun

but i did get a bit done and i finished my homework for the next week so thats pretty cool

spanish was awful it was so loud and i was fully ready to cry bc we're being forced to memorize a skit in 4 days,,, in a language we dont know

can i just say i love the demoni album (by joker out)?? every song literally goes so hard even the one i'd rank last if i had to is really goddamn good. i also like how the album contrasts with umazane misli (the album not the song) as its sort of about falling in love whilst demoni is like falling out of love? i haven't listened to the majority of umazane misli so im sorry if im wrong lmfao anyway. i had a thought that was like "the track order is usually on purpose right?" so that prompted me to make a summary of the contents of each song and i was like wait. this is a storyline. sorry again if these summaries are not fully correct i made them with one braincell and i dont have the energy to look up the lyrics again haha ok so katrina is like just post-breakup. "why do you keep on playing me. do you love me or not? i need you and hate you at the same time". ne bi smel is like "im sorry this was all my fault but i didnt have any other choice. i want you back but i know i betrayed you. it's my fault. im sorry". plastika is sort of like a side thing possibly its about hating how you look and having surgery to look perfect and beautiful. "it doesn't matter about anything else, im perfect now". i think this song has a deeper meaning that would fit more cleanly into the storyline of the other songs but im not big brained enough to figure out how exactly if i figure out ill update this. now, massive whiplash as we jump into demoni which is like "i need you here. when im not here my demons play with me" (idk how to better explain it besides just drawing from the og lyrics hah) important to note that this song is the title track. padam is like "i should've believed them instead of going through with us. someone help me. please. where is everyone?" vse kar vem is like "everything ends eventually, you just didn't need me anymore". ona is like "you never cared. but i care so much. so so much". tokio is like "we're not gonna see each other again. only photos will know we were together". note the more peaceful music as opposed to the deeply upset vibe of the others. kind of ironic how ngvot is like "ah, so we meet again. we've both changed albeit differently. we don't talk about it anymore though!" note the incredibly happy music of the song it's so incredibly jarring hearing them repeat "we dont talk about it anymore" with this happy ass music lmfao lastly novi val is like really abstract and could really mean a lot of things. i take it as a general message but it could really be anything. also note that it makes me want to cry so bad. one day im gonna bawl my eyes out because of that goddamn song agh OKAY UM OKAY. so basically the whole album is about a slow acceptance of the breakup but still feeling bitter about it at the end. i think. however this mystery person (probably called katrina) that the singer broke up with could've been anything tbh. you can interpret this really broadly and i think that's why i like the album so much too. it doesnt have to just be about events and feelings post-breakup but also just things in a general sense. so you can find solace in the album regardless of what your situation is. i think thats pretty neat.

hello anon! while i usually like to start chronologically when listening to a new artist, radiohead is one case where i wouldn’t recommend that. pablo honey is a rather mediocre debut that doesn’t have very many good songs (i like blow out and prove yourself, though) and doesn’t really feel like radiohead. i usually tell everyone to start with ok computer by default, but if you really like creep, i would suggest starting with their second album, the bends. the bends carries over the parts that worked from pablo honey and adds another layer of sophistication, and gives you the first true taste of the ‘radiohead’ sound. you may have heard the songs high and dry & fake plastic trees before and not realized they were radiohead songs—those were the two massive hits from this album, but several other tracks (my iron lung, just, street spirit, the bends, planet telex) got a lot of airplay in the nineties! my personal favorite track from the bends is black star.

after the bends, i would suggest listening to the rest of their albums in chronological order (ok computer -> kid a -> amnesiac -> hail to the thief -> in rainbows -> the king of limbs -> a moon shaped pool). i really think it’s the best way to listen to radiohead; you get to evolve with their music. just from this ask i’m assuming you’re into alt rock, so the transition from alt rock to electronic to a mix of both is more natural when you listen to the albums in order.

if you’re not much of an album person and would like to just warm up with a few songs before diving in, i would recommend some tracks off of the bends and ok computer to start out, as well as a handful from in rainbows to give you a taste of what’s to come. my personal suggestions are paranoid android, the bends, just, weird fishes/arpeggi, jigsaw falling into place, and 2+2=5. i think those are some good songs to start with if you prefer rock!

if you’re interested, i can tell you the exact tracks that got me into radiohead. i played creep on rockband and went “wow that’s a bummer. good song though!” and looked up the mv on youtube to familiarize myself with it more. then, i saw a song in my recommendations with very pretty album art called weird fishes/arpeggi, went “woah i like fish i have one :D,” listened to it, and my life was immediately changed. i had never heard something so vivid, so rich… i was on a bit of a weird fishes lockdown after that, but soon i clicked another song in my recommended because it had an interesting title: jigsaw falling into place. to this day, that is my favorite song of all time. i decided to search up radiohead on Wikipedia and realized that i recognized some of their album titles and cover art, but had never listened to them. i read about the hype around ok computer and decided to give it a listen, which i did the next day and again had my mind blown. but before that, on the same night when i had listened to the previously mentioned songs, i searched up paranoid android and listened to it because i had seen it mentioned on wikipedia as a standout track. what a standout it is! this was my personal radiohead pipeline, but yours may look different.

First two are off of her new album while the rest are a variety of supes common songs she plays but like she really just does whatever she wants depending on the tour. You can shuffle or not like the order is kinda how they go in the setlist (besides adding the new songs on top) openers are at the beginning and closers at the end. Most of these on the playlist are am! songs by virtue of that being most of her discography but she also does her solos (even some from her first one in 2008) but like solo wise do expect A GOOD GAGGLE of new songs (esp ones not already on streaming, like i think i'm not a cop is THEEEEE opening song recently) n e ways here's a playlist of the new songs on yt with most of them if ur curious!! but back to the am! ones i did studio version bc all the other songs are but there are some acoustic versions of various songs on here which might interest you bc shes solo(ISH) rn so shes either playing acoustic or electric but not as WILD yknow

Anyways this is all a guess bc this is based off of setlists from this year where shes just doin whatever and not like THEEEEEE shows where shes touring for the album like i THINK you are going to one of the march shows (YIPPEE) so PROBABLY a decent chunk of it will be new songs and only a gaggle am! but who knows how much there will be im not a psychic. Also it means she will have a drummer + bassist!!! She's been 99.9% solo for her 2020s shows (i think a FEW songs on the carousel tour were the only exception) so im interested in how it will go for her bc this is a new thing!! ANYWAYS i keep missing out on her while she's in town bc im either broke or busy lately BUT from The Vibes, from like vids and also my past experiences at am! shows, the crowd is usually cool. Normal concert going things like singing along and the occasional clapping along depending on if songs have it or not. current obsession(s): vintage computing :) having a usable windows 98/XP machine in 2023 is super useful. tons of programs i might not have otherwise been able to run! also you could say some other obsessions are xena and that krakatoa book right now

My reccomended songs from each album, not necessarily my FAVS but i feel like they represent the general sound of the album enough (pretty hate machine to the slip at least) are Sin (Pretty Hate Machine), Wish (Broken), March of the Pigs (The Downward Spiral), The Fragile (The Fragile), The Hand that Feeds (With Teeth), Capital G (Year Zero), Discipline (The Slip). My usual advice to beginner ninheads is to listen in order but if you want a sample from each album like a buffet then these are my recs 😙 And if you dont like any of these then im sorry 😞😙 Habe fun ❣️❤️

p good day today so far :> gave doogal a bath i dont think i gave her a great one but id say shes cleaner atleast a lil bit and i can hug her w/o smelling bad after. then i drove myself(!) to the record store and this was the first time ive driven anywhere alone w/ just me in the car so it was really nice. only difficult part was when i had to park cause its saturday and the middle of the day so the parking lot was p full compared to last time i drove there so for a second i was like just hopelessly reversing back n forth trying to park but then decided to park instead in the space right above the one i was gonna park in so that it was easier to get out since i wouldnt have to reverse when getting out and just drive forward :) anyways i found a nonesuch gamelan record there (!) one side balinese gamelan the other side kecak :D ive never had a kecak album b4 so thats rly awesome and like finding a gamelan album is dope. anyways the real dope event today aside from driving is that the owner of the record store asked if i was interested in working for him doing like work for cash since his store isnt at the point of hiring other employees yet so itd just be like random jobs for cash :) dont know when to expect a call or if its final but am super excited at the possibility. might not have a chance to watch movies today or tonight cause i might eat w/ family later but ill see. either way p good day so far. and now that ive kinda gotten past the initial fear of driving alone i hope i start going more normally now. since most drives are very short and and simple and usually just driving straight in one direction for 90% of it and i can just look beforehand at google maps to see where i turn and how etc :) also my sisters car unfortunately doesnt have a cd player but i was listening to spotify playlists i made which was comfy. aside from the occasional ads but since it was a short drive ther was only like 1 or 2. songs i listened to while driving there that came on on shuffle on my playlist were franz schubert by kraftwerk, hotaru by haruomi hosono, ma mere l’oie by ryuichi sakamoto and coda by ryuichi sakamoto all in that order :) so not a very long drive there n back but of the songs to come up those were perfect and v comfy for driving somewhere in the middle of a calm saturday
