Sometimes I have to question why people want romance to be the endgame for a character especially if the genre is far from being a romance.
What? Platonic relationships aren't as important? Mending broken relationships? Family?
Not everything needs to be a "babies ever after" ending. 🙄
Jeez, if I'm watching an action, I'm expecting action. Romance is the last thing in my mind. I wanna see the big bad get defeated. I could care less about "Are they gonna date or not?" I tuned in for fight scenes, not a dating game.
Like I have my ships, too, but them being canon is the last thing I want when the characters are losing their lives, limbs and happiness while trying to when a battle against a big bad with issues.
If I wanted romance for a canon ending... I'D WATCH A ROMANCE.

BNHA final thoughts
I normally don't talk about BNHA that often as my blog is manly about Twisted Wonderland and Pretty Cure but there's been so much misinformation about the newest chapter and it's really starting to bug me like a lot so I'm gonna talk about it and hope I can clear up some misunderstandings.
First is about Class 1-A: people have been on their asses saying "oh L that class 1-A aside from Bakugo doesn't talk to Izuku any more, he saved everyone and they threw him to the curb" that is not true. Midoriya even states that their days off don't correspond with each other so they can't meet up in real life. If they didn't talk to Izuku anymore after graduation then he wouldn't have known that, the only way he does know is if has communicated with them.
This is very realistic. As you get older you gain more responsibilities people you were once close with you find yourselves growing apart. From experience two of my friends I was very close with from school we don't talk to each other very often any more because we each have our own lives. That can be said for Class 1-A
Going back to Class 1-A there has been an 8 year time skip so if I'm doing the math right these kids are about 24 or 25 years old by the end of the story. They're pro heroes and Deku is a teacher I'm sure they're all tired at the end of the day from their jobs.
Second while Bakugo was the main contributor to Deku's new hero suit Class 1-A did help him so he wasn't solely the only one to pay for Izuku's iron man suit.
Another thing is that people are really pissed off about Deku becoming a teacher. That they wanted him to be a hero and wanted him to keep his OFA and I wanted that too but Izuku lost his quirk in the final battle, he only had embers of it so him becoming a hero while quirkless as we've seen is an impossible goal to have.
This was a very realistic path for Izuku to go down, he inspired so many people in the series Bakugo, Todoroki, Ochaco ect so why wouldn't he want to continue doing that? He became a teacher so he can inspire the next generation of heroes like All Might did. And Izuku is still able to become a hero with his new iron suit.
But my final thoughts? I'm not trying to say this ending is perfect because it's not. BNHA is not perfect nothing is. But with this fandom nothing seems to please them. I'm just glad the cast is alive and well cause if Hori was anything like Fujimoto of Gege I'm sure half of the class would have been murked off by the time the war came.
But critical thinking aside I really loved My Hero academia, I remember first watching BNHA in middle school when there was only three seasons out. I'm really sad to see the series end but I'm glad we were able to get a conclusion as not many authors get the chance to do. I'm really going to miss this series.

WSB (and WSHB) - Chapter IX
Tumblr media
cw: weddings, a betrayal and a medical emergency.
Masterlist
“So who do you like? You don’t like Izuku too, do you?”
The question Mina asks you during the third official class 1A senior girls’ sleepover has you taken aback. You’ve barely settled into the class dynamic, and yet, this direct question is asked as though it’s accusatory, or perhaps it’s some sort of a warning. Your heart thumps. Did you do something wrong? You’d been quiet so far in the discussion of crushes among the class and other classes, not wanting to step on any toes.
Tessa shifts, seated beside you cross-legged on Momo’s unnecessarily large bed. In retrospect, it was clear that she was annoyed by the question on your behalf but she says nothing and waits for your response. Mina looks at you carefully as though she is trying hard to detect a lie. You watch Ochaco who is sitting by Mina reach reflexively for her arm then retract it. Her face is bright red.
“No, I aim high. Like Endeavor,” you finally reply.
The room falls silent except for the sound of Hagakure gasping.
“I was kidding!!!” you insist. Tessa bursts out laughing then slaps your back. The rest of the girls follow, and once the laughter dies down, you glance at Ochaco as the subject changes. She looks relieved, and that unsettles you.
The truth is, you’ve been trying to suppress a budding crush too.
---
You reach over to arrange the collar of Shoto’s suit. He looks terribly handsome, as usual, and you wonder briefly if you look like a good enough match. Couples should look like they belong together right?
As though he can read you (or maybe he can just see the unwitting frown on your face), he holds your fingers in his hand gently, then kisses the fingertips.
“You look pretty,” he says. Your face warms.
“So do you,” you murmur back. You do still feel the slightest bit of trepidation as the two of you prepare to arrive at the wedding together. It will be the first time the two of you appear officially as a couple even if it’s just among your classmates (Bakugou had insisted NO paparazzi even dare to show their faces at the event). Of your friends, only Tessa knew about you and Shoto, although she didn’t 100% approve, and you wondered if people would be surprised. Perhaps it was expected, given the fiasco at the last event. Did you look bad hopping from man to man like this? Did it even matter?
You and Shoto separate the moment you arrive, his hand lingering on yours just a little too long as you pull away, and as you find your way to Tessa’s dressing room, you’re reminded that the only person that matters today is her.
She looks unbelievably beautiful in her white dress, enough that she nearly takes your breath away.
“I know I saw it before, but God, Katsuki is going to lose it when he sees you.”
Tessa’s eyes shine, but she can’t risk ruining her makeup with tears, so instead she tilts her face back, as though keeping the tears in, and then laughs, a sound that is painted with a mix of anxiety, joy and relief.
“Do you really think so?”
“Yeah, and to be painfully honest, I object to this union out of jealousy,” you tease. She laughs, and so does Momo, who is still trying to secure the last of the pins in Tessa’s hair. Not wanting to be idle, you help Tessa’s mother adjust her wedding train as well, making sure that by the time she goes down the aisle, she looks nothing short of ethereal. Before you depart, you give her a final hug, sending her off before she presents herself again to all the guests at once.
“See you on the other side, Mrs. Bakugou.”
Tessa slaps your shoulder gently, the red in her skin deepening.
Her makeup is done for, you think, as you slip out to find your seat.
---
Bakugou and Tessa wed in the next half-hour. Surprisingly, she does make it through her ridiculously long but heartwarming vows, although her voice cracks and shakes the longer she goes on.
Bakugou starts off strong, you have to admit - he makes it through his bride’s walk to the end of the aisle, with Kirishima giving him a playful punch on the shoulder to keep him from being too stiff but even though his vows are comparatively short, his eyes are extremely red before you know it, and with that he grows impatient.
“Just marry us already," he demands of the officiant. The officiant laughs.
And it’s done.
Tears stream down your face and you hope the tears are for her only. It would be selfish to think of yourself someday, in her place, with the person you love.
---
“The day Tessa told me she was in love with Katsuki, I’m not gonna lie-” you pause for dramatic effect, glancing slyly at the young man who positively shines as he looks lovingly at his bride, barely paying attention to any word you say, “- I think I mourned her genuinely that night.”
The crowd starts to laugh and Bakugou finally notices and shoots you a look of irritation, which you deflect with a wide grin. The glass of champagne you downed before this toast is doing its work to keep you loose, even if you have been averting your eyes from one section of the hall for the entire evening so far.
Even if Shoto looks impeccably put together, akin to the airbrushed cover of a high fashion magazine, Izuku looks a familiar type of beautiful, even if his hair is slightly out of place and you know you would have fixed that one stubborn curl and-
You realize you’ve paused for a moment, and the crowd is quiet.
“But Katsuki’s love has been steady, all-encompassing and persistent, and Tessa is quite frankly the luckiest woman on the planet at this very moment.”
Katsuki beams and kisses her again on the forehead, as if they haven’t shared thousands of kisses before. She giggles, and you think of what to say next.
“Love is priority… and also patience. Love is…”
You pause, your throat choking up.
Love is, love is, love is…
You look towards Shoto, who leans forward, who hangs on your very word, who watches tears start to well up in your eyes. Shoto would prioritize you, and Shoto has been patient and remains so.
And yet suddenly and violently, you realize you don’t love him, and you’re not sure you ever will.
“Love is something you can’t control.”
The last word comes out strained but you cover it with a sudden cough, faking laughter as you excuse yourself.
You turn towards the happy couple and spread your arms out.
“Love is what I see here today, and I hope the rest of you guests see it too,” you finish.
There’s clapping as you make your way towards your seat. There’s a shakiness that runs through you as what you’ve realized sets in finally as Shoto holds your hand, as you try not to look at Izuku who is also trying not to look at you, as Ochaco tries to pretend she can’t see him try not to look at you.
It’s a mess that you can’t fix, but you try to keep it together.
Izuku rises for his toast, and your stomach turns. Quietly, you excuse yourself, and leave the room.
---
You’re not going to cry, you tell yourself. Not on your best friend’s wedding day, not over him or her, not when you have someone who cares deeply about you waiting for your return.
You rub your eyes gently not to disturb your makeup, practicing your media darling smile in the mirror of the bathroom you now occupy. If there is anything Herodom trains you particularly well to do, it is to save face.
The facts remain as they are. You are at this wedding with Shoto. Izuku is at this wedding with Ochaco. She is pregnant. He chose her.
You may not love Shoto the way he deserves to be loved, at least not yet, but he loves you. There’s nothing to be done, at least not tonight, even if it seems like you’ve fit the last piece of a puzzle and the complete image is something horrendous to look at.
You wash your hands, the action feeling oddly definitive, and wipe your hands on soft paper towels. Your eyes glaze over the gorgeous sink décor and smile at how over the top it is. That’s what’s important. A love that is not complicated, but extravagant. Ooey-gooey love that seeps from every corner of the room, pure and innocent.
That’s what you want, and that’s what you hope will have with Shoto, one day.
---
“Don’t go.”
The quiet whisper means to maintain an air of normalcy, but there is desperation laced in her voice, and more so in the gentle tug on the sleeve of his suit jacket.
Ochaco has seen the way he continues to glance at the back of the room waiting for you to reappear. She’s seen the worry in his eyes, the tensing in his shoulders, and the way that he controls a nervous bounce in his knee.
Her stomach turns, and the baby is no longer moving in her belly, as though it can feel the rise in her heartbeat.
Izuku looks at her, then he realizes that she knows what he wants to do far before he does.
“I’m sorry,” he whispers as he leaves to go after you.
---
Your heart thumps as Izuku stands in between you and the reception hall where you are meant to sit with your boyfriend, celebrating your best friend’s love. He’s clearly a lot more harried than he looked just a few minutes ago, and there’s the wringing of the hands again, a habit he’d all but grown out of over the years.
“___, is everything okay? I-”
Your legs move before your brain catches up, towards the opposite direction. You don’t run, but your pace is brisk enough that one wrong step in your heels would have you crashing to the ground. And yet you don’t care, because the most pressing issue at the moment is to preserve distance between you two - whatever he has to say, you don’t want to hear it, you will not hear it.
“Please…” Izuku begs.
You freeze in place, nearly automatically. There’s that edge to his voice, the hurt you hate hearing, the one that plucks at your heartstrings like a virtuoso. It handles you like a marionette. You can’t leave him here; you wish you could but your heart clearly yearns for him, despite everything.
So you turn and face him, the hardest look you can muster in your eyes. There’s relief in his, that you’re finally listening.
“I still love you. It’s always been you.”
You bite your lip but before you can speak, he pleads his case further.
“I know it’s not perfect, and I know I messed up, but anything you want from now on, I can do… I’ll pay any price, please just… it’s you.”
Your mouth opens then closes.
Izuku is nothing if not persistent. You stand dumbfounded, feet stuck to the ground while your head spins. He watches you carefully as you process, perhaps considering, perhaps…
He has to seize his chance. He steps forward.
“Please, just… give me a chance to talk to you in person… I know not today, but maybe tomorrow? Just please, when I call you-”
“ _____! ”
Your name is suddenly called from behind. It’s Shoto, who appears from behind the hallway, looking for you; his eyes narrow as he sees Izuku who frowns back nearly reflexively.
You feel as though you are caught doing something terribly wrong and warmth rushes to your face. Trying not to look back at Izuku, trying not to give him any answer at all, you pass by Izuku to walk over to Shoto, who is less upset and more wary of what is going on underneath your strained expression. It's clear something inside you is turbulent and this... confusion rather than anger does not bode well. Anger is simple and easy to understand.
Izuku takes your wrist and you gasp at the contact that almost seems to burn with its sudden intensity, as though you can feel the tiniest crackle of One For All surging to the surface. Surprised, you turn back at him again and he looks at you, really looks and lets go.
This simple action, possessive and certain, for once pushes Shoto over the edge.
“I swear to God, Midoriya-” Shoto starts, his skin already starting to frost, but then another call for help is made, and Momo finally meet the three of you in an obvious conflict, her face distressed for other reasons.
Your eyes widen waiting for Momo to relay her message. Her voice shakes as she speaks.
“It’s Uraraka! S-She just lost consciousness…”

Since someone ‘kindly’ asked how Villain’s Winning can be made (thinking they all die) into a sequel manga I decided to write one out. Because I do love a challenge this is also running under the premise of Dad for One. Note it’s dark and people die because the Villains ‘win’ but there is HOPE.
Tumblr media
The criteria for the Villain’s winning is taking out the heroes, this does not mean they have to kill every hero mind you. Just the big ones like Endeavor, Hawk’s Jeanist, and any that get in their way are a target.
Anyone that stands up? Murder them, so yeah people aren’t wrong a LOT of people would die. But Nezu smart if he realizes it is going side ways he would likely force the kids to get out because they are the FUTURE. Many other adults realizing if AFO becomes fully restored or Tomura can’t be de-quirked any longer many will die.
They try to abort because they lost control. Now here where I do a surprise kicker, AFO getting pissed.
Dabi wakes up and blast anyone near here with a intense heat that nearly turns everything to cinder. As if had just gotten a second wind the ice Shoto used seeming to have helped give him ‘years’ in his life. Almost revitalized and he REFUSES to lose, he doesn’t give a ‘fuck’ about happy ending he already lost that years ago when started murdering people.
Himiko can’t let go of her anger and pain of rejection from both of the people she likes and uses Twice’s quirk to overwhelm Ochaco and her team. There’s too many and she can transform into anything she wants.
Spinner breaks out Kurogiri, now they have their best man to warp them- And of course they reorganize their people because Kurogiri is completely on their side. Not Oboro anymore.
THAT is when they realized they lost, as Izuku was meant to be their ace everyone had been paired up thinking it’s their best match. But the villains refuse, they have NOTHING to lose so they will give up everything to win. Izuku isn’t where he is supposed to be.
Nezu makes the call, telling the adult heroes to get the kid out of there as AFO is at full power and they didn’t plan for this. Many are pissed, angry, some are quick to scramble or fleeing when Tarturus biggest baddies start decimating them.
Then they get news from a crying Jirou that Endeavor and Hawk’s just got killed. They tried so damn hard, they even cracked the man’s helmet but he went in for the kill. Hawk’s and Endeavor risked themselves to keep them alive. All for one didn’t even bat an eye at them the moment those two died and fled because he doesn’t have time for them. Darting off toward where Tomura should be.
That is the story of how the heroes lost and hope died....
It’s a chaotic mess but most of the kids do escape with the help of some adults. Shoto barely survived his brothers attempted murder, but when hears the announcement from his head piece of Hawk and Endeavors death. He just laughs Maniacally, whether it joy or at the absurdity as he wasn’t the cause of it no one knows. He just tries to leave because what’s the point in killing his brother if the one he truly hated isn’t around to see it.
   Shoto can’t even move.
Ochaco and Asui were made to evacuate the moment Himiko used twice quirk as it just seemed endless. They can’t HANDLE that many of them! Yet are mortified at how many people died because of this. Ochaco tried to reason, to talk, but Himiko didn’t want to talk she wanted them dead. Still thinking of the parents who never loved her. Yet she doesn’t pursue them when they go over the ocean to escape... Maybe a part of her still wished they could have been friends.
Either way, many of the class 1-A and most youth involved escape now the final piece... Izuku never did get to reach Tomura as All Might in his headpiece tries to talk to him. To tell him to return to base as it gone down hill- Then there’s an explosion and Izuku stops his running. That horrifying dead dread in his chest as hears someone picking up the mic.
“Are we done playing heroes and villain? I’m getting quite tired of these games,” an ominous voice emerges. All for One had used Kurogiri to warp him, the mist always able to move as he pleases and Spinner had been a great help. “And you All Might, I think you’ve overstayed your welcome.”
And All Izuku can do is scream at him to stop, to not hurt him- Only to hear a scream and silence.
“I’m sorry did you think you were in a hero’s manga, Izuku? I did warn you, you walk a thorny path and I’m tired of holding back. I’ll pick you up soon,” then there’s a click as the weight of what happened sits in and Izuku screams.

Rules
Hi ☺️ I decided that before I write any requests, or fanfics in general (since I may not get any, and that's okay) I decided I should post my rules. Could you please read them before, you know, requesting or something? Thank you!💜
I will not:
Do NSFW requests. I feel uncomfortable writing that stuff and I'm still underage.
Write for real life people outside of their movie/show character. I just don't really like that sort of thing, but I won't judge you for liking it!
Write anything nonconsensual or forceful or anything like that. It, again, makes me uncomfortable.
Do any type of incest. It's disgusting end of story.
I will:
Write femxfem. I'm pansexual and absolutely don't mind any requests you have for a girl in a certain fandom.
Write fluff, angst and anything sfw. I don't think I've written any of those categories before but I do enjoy reading them. For some reason I favor angst the most lol
Do x nb reader. As I said, I go by she/they pronouns and figured out that I don't mind people using she/her pronouns on me, but I still like being addressed as they/them.
Do x male reader posts as long as it's requested.
Things to Remember:
I'm not only going to be limited to the fandoms I'll list. You can suggest some and I'll watch that series/movie or watch/play that game and do what I can!
Be specific when requesting. I can come up with my own ideas(sometimes) but I'd like to write for you too if you decided to choose me of everyone on Tumblr.
I don't like swearing a whole lot, and I'm trying not to anymore(yes I have been, I'm sorry) so you might just see the basic and not very offensive ones uncensored, and others censored.
Fandoms I write for/may write for:
Green: I plan on it
Orange: Maybe I'll write for it if it's requested or I have an idea for it.
Red: I likely won't write for it unless it's requested
Blue:I haven't finished that series yet.

I have this really angsty idea about an bnha / mha end where, in order to defeat AFO, Izuku needs to trust Tomura and give him One For All.
*Edit: Please check this other post after reading this. It's the comfort counterpart of this post, with how things work out in the end and how all the sadness fades into a new light.
The vestiges just need to help holding AFO back, because the mix of the two powers are too much for his body to handle and Tomura plans to decay himself, finally putting an end to what his sensei started.
And what if the news are streaming it happening in live in every screen of Japan? Now everyone is watching how Tomura is giving his life in one of the most painful ways possibles to avoid Izuku or All Might dying, to save the world.
Imagine the reactions of the League of Villains, watching Tomura do everything he can to make their dream come true: a new world, where they are accepted, where they are free, free of AFO and free of the whole "heroes and villians" point of view.
Imagine the reaction of the pro-heroes that never respected Tomura and thought he was just a man child. Imagine them finally understanding that Tomura needed rescuing but none of them gave him the hand he needed. And now there's nothing they can't do to erase the tragedy of a kid that even while he's dying, he won't stop smiling and telling the world everything will be alright.
Imagine class 1-A seeing it all and knowing that it could be Izuku. They could be the ones losing a friend. The are so similar, how could they not see it before? And even if Tomura was a real villain, there's people who love him that are losing him too. He's human. And he's— he's—
Imagine Ochaco and the girls holding Toga back, because she's struggling to go with Tomura. No one have ever seen her crying like that. Why? Why can't she help the man that became like an older brother to her? He promised to never destroy what she loves, but now he's decaying himself like he doesn't matter, like she doesn't love him, like she wouldn't give everything to share his pain one last time.
Imagine Natsuo and Shoto having to pin Dabi to the ground because they know he longs to do the same as Toga. Imagine Rei hugging her son after so many years, holding him in her arms, trying to calm his fire with her ice, whispering whatever she can to reassure him. But what can she do? She heard the story of how that other kid lost his family and she wonders, she wonders about the mother that ran to his child even as he decayed her. The Touya she knew was filled with rage and bitterness and even if he's still there, in the tears of blood of her son now she finds the silhouette of a man that learned to love. And now the man who taught him that, that showed him kindness and mercy, has only minutes left. She weeps for the mother that would never see her child becoming a hero, she weeps for his own kid, a living corpse more than ever, empty eyes, resigned. She weeps for herself. They have Touya back, but she's wondering if the cost of righting those wrongs is too high.
The whole League needs to be held back. They have lost so much, so many times. Over and over again they've seen their friends die. No one cared except them. No one cared for Magne or Twice or Compress arm. Only them, tight together in dirty holes and lonely buildings.
There's nothing the pro-heroes can do.
Spinner is sobbing and screaming that all along Tomura has been more a hero and a human than any of them. Fuck Stain. Tomura fought for them when Stain was too busy fulfilling his selfish wishes. Fuck everyone. Tomura broke himself again and again and proved that he cared about them when no one else did. He was the champion of the fallen, the hero of those who had lost hope. He, the kid that was left to die, the kid that was groomed and manipulated, a living experiment who was even possessed, abused in so many ways, dismissed. If there's someone that should be destroying the world, that's Tomura. He had lived with the greatest shadow on Earth. And there he was, using the quirk that everyone said was for killing to kill their fear, to kill they're sadness, to put at end to the suffering. A light so bright no evil could ever fade it.
Imagine Aizawa and Present Mic being with Kurogiri while he's losing the kid he raised, his loved son. For a decade and a half he watched that kid get taller, smarter, stronger. He saw his anxiety and his traumas, he stayed the nights he couldn't sleep, he went every time Tomura called his name. Imagine Shirakumo begging them to save him, because that's his child. Tomura is to him what Eri is to Aizawa. That's his kid. That's his kid. And he's paying for something he didn't do. A fucking tragedy. And he's dying alone, in the hands of the man that broke him for almost two decades. To save the people that wanted him dead.
And finally, imagine Tomura asking them with his last breath to take care of each other. Imagine Tomura asking everyone who's listening to just stop that nonsense of waiting for somebody else to do the rescue. If only someone, anyone, would have taken him with them when he was a kid, none of that would be happening. Everyone can be a hero or a villian, that's not something quirks determine. Quirk or no quirk, it's not about being strong or fast or smart, it's about doing the right thing because you want to, because you want to make the world a better place.
He apologizes to the League and ask the people to understand and forgive. He doesn't want his friends— No, his family, to suffer like he has. They still has time. They can live now. It's okay. He smiles one last time, so much like Nana... Toshi feels how a part of him dies too as Tomura laughs. "Celebrate for me, would you?"
He has saved them.
And he banishes, no more than dust floating around during the dawn. No more white hair floating like a halo of stars or red eyes like morning suns. No more reassuring smiles or raspy voice. No more.
He's gone.

Horikoshi getting the kids to think about how hero society affects villains but doing it in the most hand-holding way possible 😓 This is *my* monkey’s paw 😒
Well, that certainly does look like where we’re at right now, anon, sigh-inducing as it is—but there is one aspect of the story that gives me some hope!
So like, obviously, a sobbing 5-year-old mind ghost and Aoyama openly weeping while his parents alternate between desperate begging and panicked deflections are quite the opposite of subtle, nuanced, or in any way challenging. Apparently Deku just wasn’t in the mood for those when he came up against Overhaul and the rest, and if Shouto has a very fair claim to his insight into Dabi, it does not make it less eye-rolling that his sudden care only came about once he realized that the villain was family, having cared not a whit even one second before.
I persist in thinking Uraraka’s doing the best of the lot. She has those two unexpected moments of discomfort and unease when confronted with the fact of Toga’s pain, and she reacts to them like someone who’s aware that she’s asking some questions that go against her societal conditioning and is afraid that if she doesn’t get back in her box ASAP, she’s going to wind up labelled a villain herself. If anyone’s hand was being held in that scene, it was the reader’s—but then, I can’t help but look at Certain Quarters of the fandom and think, Well, I guess some people do need the handholding.
But! From a more hopeful perspective, I think we’re rapidly getting past the part of the story in which the kids can have their hands held on this anymore. They’re going to have to start doing their own legwork if they want the Win By Saving victory, and here’s why:
As of the end of the war arc, Shigaraki and Toga have both cast off their desire to be understood. (Dabi's a bit more complicated.)
Shigaraki spent most of the story—most of his life—trying to make himself understood to the people around him, while also frequently asking questions about them in return: from trying to find out what his dad’s problem was with Tenko/heroes, to asking Izuku why he thought people were so into Stain, to being ready to respond with the best answer he had every time someone asked him about his plans or convictions. It wasn’t until Jakku that he finally said, explicitly, “I don’t care if you don’t understand,” and accepted that this society just will not be shaken from its hero/villain binary.
Toga went through much the same thing. She tried to be what society wanted of her for years, and even when she just couldn’t anymore, she still sought out people of like mind as soon as she saw the opportunity, joining the League after Stain and speaking approvingly of the ideology of the MLA. She snuck into the Provisional License Exam entirely on her own to feel out Izuku; she was perfectly willing to answer Spinner’s questions about her motivations. At her most distraught, though, she sought out Ochaco and laid everything out for her as best she could, hoping for any kind of understanding—and when she was rejected, her thought was, “I’m going back to the League. My confusion’s all cleared away.”
The time in which Shigaraki and Toga would have made it easier for Deku and Uraraka to hold a hand out to them by being willing to engage with them in conversation is past—the heroes themselves closed that door. Now, it stands to reason, they’re going to have to be the ones reaching out, asking questions, seeking understanding, seeking that Win By Saving, in a situation where suddenly it’s the villains who don’t want to talk to them anymore.
At least, I certainly hope so.
To anticipate the obvious question, I don’t know where this leaves Dabi. I know a lot of his hardcore fans look at his video as a big plea for understanding, but I tend to be of the mindset that the video is designed primarily to hurt Endeavor as badly as possible. I think, to Dabi, hurting his dad is much more important than anyone else understanding him, so perhaps he’s already long past the point we only just saw Shigaraki and Toga reach.
On the other hand, he is still very much looking at his father, and wanting his father to look back at him! The fact that he wants his father’s expression to be a rictus of anguish is beside the point; he’s still tied up in needing something from Dad, so in that sense, Shigaraki and Toga could be said to have hit that stage of ethical surrender before Dabi. I rather doubt if Dabi himself is entirely clear on the distinction, so I leave that discussion to people who care more about in-depth Dabi analysis than me.
As to the person who's going to have to get through to him, Shouto doesn’t share Dabi’s need for Paternal Validation, but at least he's already got a much better vantage on “his” villain than Uraraka or Deku. As to whether he’s going to be able to make that stretch to how much Hero Society is at fault for it? That, I think he’s less ready for—I expect he still sees Dabi as a family issue rather than someone to point fingers back out at society on the whole for. I imagine he’d see trying to blame society for Endeavor’s issues as being dodging Endeavor’s culpability, so we’ll see how the story navigates that.
Meanwhile, Shouji also stands to be perhaps the best bridge of all into Thinking Critically About Society, as he’s going to be much more in-tune with Spinner’s issues than Deku or Uraraka are Shigaraki and Toga’s,* but it remains to be seen how much attention any of that’s going to get.
But also, you know, if anyone wanted to have a long talk about what exactly the PLF have against Hero Society, they could just go ask any of the members they have in custody, starting with either of the ones with famous villain ancestors.
Consider that a teaser for the Mr. Compress ask that’s nearly to the front of the line. Thanks for the ask, anon!
---
*What with Deku probably blaming AFO for the crying child because he has no way to know the truth of Shimura Kotarou, and Uraraka having glossed over the roadmap to The Root of My Issues that Toga so graciously drew for her during their fight because she was too adrenaline-high and focused on ending the fight as quickly as possible to remember the words Toga was throwing at her between all the knives.

Fair Festival Time!
As the summer months are coming to a close I thought it would be fun to do some Fair-specific MHA Headcanons as well as some Fair First Date Headcanons (GN Y/N)
First Dates are below the cut.
Headcanon WC: 433
First Dates WC: 1,541
Total WC: 1,974
. Mina and Denki buy the all-day rides wrist bands and are hitting up everything as many times as they possibly can and trying to bring as many friends along with them. Eijiro and Momo are the two most willing.
. Katsuki is really talented at just about any game that requires him to throw a ball of some kind. He's not in it for the prizes though, he'd win a 6ft tall teddy bear and hand it off to Ochaco without a second thought. All Katsuki wants is to watch the bottles or basket blow up.
. That being said, he gets A LOT of joy out of the dunk tank.
. Izuku is super patient with carnival games, he rules at any game where you have to memorize where things are. He brought home a bunch of goldfish that he won (gave most to Eri).
. Speaking of this adorable child! Eri just wants to try ALL THE FOOD! She walks hand in hand with Mirio and Tamaki to all of the food stalls and pointing to all the delicious treats she wants to try. They do keep an eye on her, they don't want her getting a tummy ache and ruining her fun.
. Shoto is instantly in love with frozen slushies. He wants one in every single flavor and he gets one in every single flavor! After trying them all he's decided that lemonade and orange are his favorites.
. Hanta tapes Mineta to the Zero Gravity ride when he catches him trying to be a little perv.
. Hanta then goes and checks out all the vendors with Toru, both buying some cute, locally made products.
. Circling back to games, Eijiro kills it at the strong man game. Gets giddy every time he hears that bell ring. Doesn't even need a prize.
. Mezo is really good at ring toss, even with his extra arms, he still throws them one at a time to get the most experience out of the game.
. Tsu and Koji spend a lot of time around the animals. While most of the animals tend to follow Koji around because of his quirk, Tsu has a small gathering of ducks around her at all times and she thinks they're adorable!
. Mina has gotten her face painted.
. Ochaco and Izuku got a caricature sketch done together and somehow they made Ochaco's cheeks more round and Izuku's hair more fluffy!
. Denki got lost in the funhouse, Tenya had to go get him out.
. Kyoka hangs out where the musical performances are nearly all day long. When Katsuki isn't being extra competitive, he usually joins her.
Fair First Date Headcanons
Featuring: Izuku, Katsuki, Denki, Hanta, Mina, and Eijiro
Warnings: Smooching
These are all pretty damn corny. I'm feeling sappy so this is what you get!
Izuku
. Izuku is all smiles, all day long with you.
. He wants to enjoy every minute of it so he will suggest you get to the fair early in the morning! He plans every part of the day, schedules times for snacks and when you should be indoors enjoying activities to beat the heat of the day.
. Makes sure you're putting on sunscreen throughout the day and staying hydrated! The last thing he wants is you getting heatstroke or something!
. He's not great at all the games but he still gives them all a try! Especially the ones you seem to enjoy.
. Ends up holding your hand when you get lost in a hall of mirrors. Nervously let's go once you're out but is very blushy when you grab for him again.
. Now, he had this day all planned out, so, when you're on the Ferris wheel at the end of the night and the fireworks begin just as you reach the top, you shouldn't have been surprised.
. He's holding your hand, brushing his thumb against yours when you both turn to say something to each other and your faces are just so close together.
. This time, he makes the move and kisses you.
. You two end up making out for nearly the entire show, a little startled when the Ferris Wheel starts moving again.
Katsuki
. You had to bug Katsuki pretty relentlessly to go to the fair. He didn't like the idea of the crowds and it was gonna be so damn hot but when you told him about all the games, how they were so difficult to actually win, he changed his tune real quick!
. You still compromised a bit though, waiting until the warmest part of the day passed.
. He made a b-line for the rows of brightly colored tents, holding onto your hand and pulling you along behind him.
. And, damn it, you'd been right. They weren't all easy to win! He eventually found a groove though, and learned he excelled at names that he had to throw things at.
. You had SO MANY stuffed animals by the end of the night!
. Fireworks started going off while you two found a picnic table to eat your dinner at with your massive collection of prizes.
. He'd popped a fried pepper into his mouth and you noticed him watch a little boy, struggling at a game nearby. He was sitting just so he could see the backs of the bottles and noticed they were rigged. There was no way a kid could knock them down, he didn't have the strength.
. Katsuki didn't say a word to you. He just got up and walked over to the kid. You couldn't hear their conversation but soon enough Katsuki was standing behind him and helping him throw the ball. You just barely saw sparks of his quirk propelling it forward.
. The bottles fell, the boy jumped up and down with a huge grin, accepting the massive snake plushie and hugging Katsuki's waist before he returned to you, again, not saying a word.
. You slipped into the seat beside him, kissing his cheek and telling him how sweet of a thing that was. There were grumbles of, "better not tell anyone..." Before he kissed you for the first time that night.
Denki
. Denki had no plan. He didn't even know a fair was happening until Hanta had said something about it but as soon as he did he knew he wanted to go, and he wanted to go with you!
. You got there shortly after opening, running for the ticket booth to purchase unlimited ride wristbands. And then set off!
. Hours. You spent hours riding every single ride there!
. It was only when you felt heat on your shoulders and saw the redness the sun had caused on Denki's cheeks that you thought you should maybe get out of the sun for a while.
. After filling up on food, you decided the funhouse would be a good way to stay cool! Wandering around the mazes and rooms, grabbing onto Denki as you fell into a ball pit. He didn't let you go after that.
. The sun was setting and you two were back at it with the rides! Lines are longer now than they were earlier in the day, leaving the two of you with more time to talk rather than just running around like two crazy people.
. It was after you got off the teacups. Your heads dizzy, laughing so hard your sides hurt, clinging onto one another so you could stay upright when Denki grabbed your face with both hands and kissed you smack on the lips.
. The kiss only lasted a couple seconds before you both needed air again. But, on the way to the Music Express, you both peppered each other with kisses, unable to contain yourselves.
Hanta
. He asked you a week ago if you'd like to join him, not really for the rides or anything like that, he was really interested in all the craft booths!
. You went at opening, grabbed some cold drinks, and started walking down the vendor's alley stopping at every stall and stand to admire the wares.
. You admired the way Hanta could strike up a conversation with anyone. His easy, laidback personality showing through as he gushed about leatherwork and delicious-smelling candles.
. Of course, you left with bags full of goodies!
. By the time you actually made it back around to the fair rides and attractions, your stomachs were screaming for food.
. You settled in to watch a few shows, chatting happily among yourselves until before you knew it the sun was beginning to dip.
. Finding a spot at a picnic table you were ready to watch the fireworks show but before they began, Hanta plopped a bag down in your lap, a sneaky little grin on his face.
. Inside, you found one of the candles you were in love with from earlier in the day but decided to save your money... well, two could play at that game. You dug around in your bag and handed him a small box. Inside was a necklace you'd seen him eyeing but passed up.
. Your thank you was in the form of a sweet kiss as the show began.
Mina
. Excitement buzzed through Mina all day long, the anticipation of going with you to the fair had her practically bouncing!
. While she was very eager, she also wanted to go later in the day. More people, more fun, that was her way of looking at it!
. You two were attached by the hand the moment you walked through the gate. Setting off for rides first, your heads bonking together on the tilt-a-whirl with a laugh.
. Next, she wanted to get her face painted and yours too! By the time it was done, Mina had elegant swirls of gold and red making her look like a proper Alien Queen and you had a mask designed of ornate patterns spirally over your nose and over your cheeks.
. You'd been splitting a funnel cake when pops of fireworks started exploding overhead. Stopping in the middle of the pathway to watch them.
. A few people muttered in annoyance but Mina was completely entranced, you pulled her off to the side, behind a few of the food vendors, so she could watch in peace.
. It didn't take you too long to turn your head skyward either.
. That was when Mina struck.
. The moment you were distracted, she grabbed hold of your cheeks, smudging the paint, and kissed you. The reflection was the fireworks in her eyes were as bright as her smile when you finally pulled away for air.
Eijiro
. The plan was to get there when the fair opened but you both took your sweet time, getting sidetracked with talking along the way meaning you actually arrived in the early afternoon.
. Not a problem, still left you with a ton of time!
. Eijiro let you lead the way, was your partner, rival, or cheering squad for whatever game you tried playing. But then he found the strong man game...
. It wasn't like you were surprised he could ring the bell but your eyes still went wide when he did. Grinning like he'd just taken down a group of villains all on his own when he presented you with a huge stuffed shark he'd been awarded.
. It was after you both scarfed down some food that you found a rock climbing wall and knew you had to tackle it! High up in the air, almost to the top, was when you lost your footing.
. Someone would have caught you, you both knew that but still, Eijiro's hand shot out and grabbed you first.
. After the minor scare, you found a spot in some grass to watch the fireworks that had started on the walkover. Laying back, the shark plush in your arms, your head on Eijiro's chest. You could hear his heart racing faster and faster.
. When you sat up to ask if he was okay, if he didn't like the fireworks, he just jolted forward and kissed you quickly. Not scared, just nervous. You assure him there was no need, kissing him again, before settling into his arms.

MHA RAVE AU HEADCANONS
Part 1
Ok so I had started artworks for this idea because being a weeb and a raver, it only made sense to me.
So here’s a list of the MHA characters (all 18+) and what I think they’d be like as ravers including the genre, style and uh….. “party favors” they’d indulge in if they do indulge.
Izuku Midoriya
You can’t convince me that Deku isn’t a baby raver. He’s one of those that starts off wide eyed and so excited to start raving.
Definitely a budding Kandi Kid. He loves making kandi and trading with other people and he definitely takes videos or pics of his trades to add to his scrapbook.
Is the kind of baby raver that scrapbooks for his memories of each show/festival he goes to. He saves the admission bands and takes tons of pics.
Is fairly mainstream with his taste is DJs but will go to check out other sub genres if he goes with other groups. Mostly along the lines of Zedd, The Chainsmokers, David Guetta. Very house/pop vibes.
He’s very comfy style. Is big on merch shirts. Has a Fanny pack and a camel pack with essentials like gum, water, hair ties, a mini first aid kit, power banks, a couple fans and Vick’s.
Is the kind of guy that is very sweet so girls flock to him to either treat him like baby or flirt with him cuz he’s good boi. Will lift people on his shoulders, guy or girl.
Light show caretaker. He’s the one who holds your hand, fans you, will probably sit you in his lap whether you’re a guy gal or non binary pal.
His rave name is either Deku or Broccoli.
Izuku isn’t one to take any kind of “party favors”. If anything, he’s the one making sure everybody else is staying hydrated and safe. Usually the designated driver.
OFA gives him great strength which proves very useful when going to 3 day festivals as he ends up as the pack mule. Along with the multitude of other quirks attached ro OFA, he uses them as needed.
Shoto Todoroki
Wasn’t really ecstatic about raving but also didn’t hate the idea. He kinda just tagged along because Izuku wanted to go.
Also very big on house/pop/mainstream stuff. Will listen to trance on occasion but he has to really be in the mood.
Only really takes pics if he remembers or if Izuku tells him to. He likes to enjoy the shows in the moment.
Because he’s from a rich family, he usually gets to have VIP passes and will either sneak his friends in or just flat out walk them in. No fucks given.
Also very comfy. Will take his shirt off only if it gets too hot. Very little kandi but faithfully wears the one Izuku gave him.
Gets hit on a lot. Gives the strong silent type vibes so he lures in the girls but he’s kinda clueless. Will help put people on his shoulders if they ask but he’s not one to offer.
Not a big “party favor” person so he’ll just drink every now and again.
I feel like his rave name will be IcyHot, Peppermint, or something along those lines.
His dual-quirks of ice and fire help tremendously in warming people up or cooling them down.
Katsuki Bakugou
Katsuki took a bit of convincing but when he heard the boom of the bass, he was hooked. He loves the heavy beats and drops and loves to mosh pit.
Is a kandi kid but focuses more on head banging and rail breaking. The ones he trades kandi with are usually the ones he liked head banging with or got good vibes from. Will infamously wear his kandi gauntlets to festivals.
He is HEAVY on the bass. Very into hard style, dubstep, deathstep, drum and bass and moombatah. Sullivan King, Excision, Dion Timmer, etc.
Loves doing that headbanger thing with Kirishima where they lock hands and headbang at each other. Will also break his neck with Kirishima.
Absolutely is the type of guy to be shirtless the entire time. Will vary between bandanas, face masks, kandi masks or gas masks. Camel pack is a necessity and so is gum and vicks.
Does get hit on but his aggressive nature is off putting to most. Takes pics with a lot of people because of his Kandi gauntlets. If he does click with somebody he’s very possessive and the “party favors” make him very flirtatious and grabby but he’s v respectful.
Gives amazing back/shoulder rubs. Will usually put a girl in his lap when she gets a light show so she’s not uncomfy on the floor. For guys, he’s very selective but good vibes unless you give off Chad energy.
If he didn’t click with anybody at the show/festival and is feeling touchy feely, Kiri is his go to. Even if Kiri makes a connection, you’ll often see Katsuki close by and being the “tag team top” to Kiri.
Definitely uses “party favors”. Prefers E and acid. Big on Kandi Flipping. Will try Jedi Flipping but doesn’t wanna overdo it.
His rave name is either Dynamite or Grenade. Was almost gonna be Kacchan when he went with Izuku but he shut that down real fast.
His explosion quirk comes in handy with hyping up the crowd with mini explosion. They also double for giving light shows. Likes watching faces melt.
Kyoka Jirou
I definitely think she’s one of the ones that introduced everyone to raving to open up their music taste.
She listens to a little of everything but prefers house, trance, techno and probably a little psy-trance.
She’s definitely a budding DJ/Producer. Has her own EPs out on SoundCloud and shit. Definitely invites everyone she knows to her shows.
Not so big on kandi but she loves spreading the PLUR vibes. Will give hugs, braid hair, have spare hair ties, etc.
Super into hearing different types of music so will definitely wander around different stages.
Style is very lax but also very rocker. Ripped tank tops, fishnets, leg wraps face masks, boots.
Sometimes partakes in “party favors” but very low doses. Mostly E or molly water
She’s the kind that will give amazing massages when someone is getting a light show. Does get hit on but usually ends up befriending everybody.
Her raver name is tricky. I feel like she’d get something Joane Jet or something very rocker.
Her quirk is tricky for this environment. It can be a hit or miss. Because of the volume she obviously can’t amplify the sound. Because her ear jacks can move on their own, she usually is the one catching people’s stuff, getting a better grip on them etc.
Ochako Uraraka
Very bubbly and upbeat. Definitely pop-ish/mainstream vibes. Will randomly be on a bass kick and it’s frightening.
She was super excited to go to a rave and was very baby raver but she loves it now.
She’s definitely the type to wear the cutesy outfits with tutus and bright colors and patterns and the body glitter everywhere and jewels. Probably leg warmer floofs.
Loves Kandi and trading kandi. Super friendly and bubbly. Makes friends with everybody.
Carries a fanny pack with the basics. Usually relies on Izuku for water and stuffs.
She’s a molly water chick. No debating. She can’t take a whole dosage. She’s gotta take it in Gatorade or water. Has to be watched cuz her bubbly nature makes her wander off so she’ll usually be tethered to somebody.
Usually hyping up the light show artist while they melt your face off. Will fan you off, hold your hand, give you shoulder and scalp massages.
I feel like her nickname would be something like Pinkie Pie or Bubbles. Very fitting for her personality.
Her quirk is definitely a god send for the other vertically challenged ravers. She’ll use her quirk to help float up to get a better view. Izuku is usually nearby keeping Ochaco and whoever she floats in his hands so they don’t float away.
Eijirou Kirishima
Is good boi himbo who wanted to be included. Listened to dubstep and loved it.
Very much into dubstep, hard style, deathstep and moombatah. Drum and bass too because of Katsuki.
Is a headbanger and rail breaker. Loves doing the hand holding, head banging thingy with Bakugou and is always ready to dive into the moshpits. Is totally that guy that’s crazy in mosh pits but then profusely apologizes after.
Trades kandi like it’s water. He’s so cute and always down to make trades.
Is absolutely big good himbo boi who drank his respecc womens juice. He will happily give them a lift on his shoulders and will fight everybody who disrespects any girl at the raves. Douchebag Chads beware.
Relies on Katsuki for stuff like water and gum and shit.
Will partake in some “party favors” and makes sure he doesn’t dose too high so he can keep an eye out for the females in his group. E, Molly and Acid are a yes. Shrooms scare him
His rave name is totally Daddy Shark or Jaws or something shark related.
Unbreakable gives Kiri great strength which, much like Izuku, makes him one of the packmules for festivals. Also keeps him unscathed by moshpits and makes him a terror to Chads that are quick to throw hands.
Tsuyu Asui
Was invited to a show by Jirou at first but always tags along with Izuku and Ochaco and Shoto. The bigger the crowd the better.
I feel like while she’s very cute and bubbly, her outfits are more on the conservative side. Still cute and slightly sexy but she’s heavy on the frog aesthetic. Lots of greens and Froggies. Braid to keep her hair out of the way.
Also very mainstream. House heavy. Pop main.
Comfy shoes are a must. Has a camel back that is always filled with water. Carries a giant fan and always has Kandi. During the day, she likes to carry an umbrella so the sun isn’t such a pain.
Has tried “party favors” and every now and again she’ll partake. Prefers super light drinking around her group tho.
Is hit on but is always very nice to turn people down. She’s more focused on the fun and her friends rather than hooking up or anything.
Her froggy quirk isn’t of too much in the rave environment other than using that long tongue to reign in her wander friends.
Denki Kaminari
Was introduced to raving by Jirou and loves it. He’s definitely her hype machine, promoting her shows, pushing merch and even volunteering to use his quirk for lighting during her sets.
Will definitely join the Bakusquad at the hard style and dubstep stages. Also loves techno and moombatah. Loves the high energy stuff.
Neons and glow in the darks are big in his rave wardrobe. Can and will rock fishnets with pride. Tank tops are more common but will go shirtless if it gets too hot or he gets too touchy feely. Kind of a cyberpunk feel sometimes.
Is a die hard kandi kid. Usually has them in the theme of video games or anime. Basically his arms are covered in kandi but the ones from his friends stay safe in a Fanny pack.
As an avid raver, he knows what you need and has it when you need it. Chapstick? Check. Gum? Tons. Lighters? Honey it’s a sin that you’re even asking.
Absolutely partakes in “party favors” and gets very handsy and flirtatious. Is respectful but can be a handful. Usually ends up being babysat by Jirou. E, Molly, acid and shrooms.
Is a huge flirt. I personally feel like he’s Pan so the whole crowd is fair game for his flirting. Hella good kisser with guys girls and non binaries. Uses his quirk for minimal stimulation.
His quirk is definitely a raver’s delight. He’s usually the one helping power people’s phones, helping keep machines running in the off chance the power surge is too much. Uses it for stimulation during make out sessions or light shows. Will also give light shows. Can’t do it for too long though because the light shows require a lot of focus on maintaining the output to smaller levels.
His rave name is Pikachu and I’m not taking any arguments/complaints/criticisms.
Tenya Iida
Was invited a rave and didn’t mind it but too chaotic for his taste.
He’s usually the guy working the rave at the water stands, merch stands or medical tent.
Rave dad vibes. Yells to not run, drink water and highly discourages use of “party favors”.
Has been hit on a couple times but is a dork and it usually goes over his head.
T-shirts and cargo shorts are his staple outfit. Always with a camel pack
His engine quirk helps him get from one end of the festival grounds to the other in no time flat so he has a specific path for him to run through cuz those speeds will knock a bitch out.
Even though he doesn’t really rave he was given a rave name and it’s Sonic.
Mina Ashido
The epitome of a fucking rave queen. She’s one of the other reasons that everybody else got into raving.
Is everywhere. She listens to a bit of everything. Loves the energy of dubstep, loves shuffling to techno, can and will throws elbows in a mosh pit at a hard style stage and will sing with you at the mainstream stages.
She’s definitely a brand ambassador and wears all the cutest outfits with the coolest patterns and most awesome styles. Tastefully sexy outfits that show off just enough.
Absolutely a kandi kid. Very alien friendly themed kandi. Full arms of traded kandi and kandi that is yet to be traded.
She’s a super bright personality that draws people in. She gets equal attention from guys and girls and non binaries and will gladly make out with anybody that gives her a good vibe.
Definitely partakes in “party favors”. Loves Kandi Flipping and Jedi flipping. Is the kind to chew her cheek raw so she needs either a pacifier or lots of gum.
For obvious reasons, her quirk is a no no. Shooting acid everywhere? Yea let’s not.
Her rave name is Alien Queen or ET Babe
Hanta Sero
Absolutely loves raving and I’m gonna stick with the Latino HC. He is a moombatah and trap king. Also loves artists like Deorro that have a lot of Latin fusion in their stuff. When “Bailar” came out, he played it for hours on end.
Very lax clothes. Very much stoner style. But on rare occasions he goes with the Chad aesthetic. Has that undercut but with longer hair up top style and will often swing it it up in a man bun.
He’s a promoter for sure. Usually has access to backstage because he gets in good with DJs.
Does use “party favors” but is mainly 4/20 friendly. Loves shotgunning. Is usually the guy that carries extra “party favors”. Will def go on an acid or shroom trip with first timers.
Very sexually fluid so good vibes are pretty much all that are required. Hella god dancer and uses that to his advantage.
Has all the essentials. Especially lighters. Is the one that remembers the eye drops.
His rave name is definitely Papi or Rey (Spanish for King).
His quirk is another one that doesn’t have much use other than to wrangle in his wandering friends.
Momo Yaoyorozu
Wasn’t keen on going at first but when she saw that even Shoto was going, she thought she’d give it a try. Is another rich kid so does have the VIP access for the sake of having a good/comfy place to sit and rest.
Mainstream for sure. Very pop heavy vibes. Some house and trance
Very much the rave mom. Keeping everybody hydrated and safe.
Given that her quirk relies heavily on her energy and all that, she doesn’t partake in party favors
Tries to keep it cute but usually ends up looking more on the sexy side.
She’s been convinced to be a brand ambassador for the sake of modeling the clothes. But she always asks for the more covered up options.
Is too busy taking care of everybody to worry about meeting people.
Her quirk is perfect for raving. Being able to create anything certainly has come in handy. Makes her a god send to those who forgot something like lighter, chapstick, hair tie etc.
Her rave name would probably be Mama Momo.
Hitoshi Shinsou
Now this guy is heavy into psy-trance. Think more along the lines of artists like Infected Mushroom.
He’s the connect that everybody goes to. Meaning yes, he partakes in party favors. Particularly the psychedelics like shrooms and acid.
Very cyber punk/street wear vibes. Comfy but still fits that aesthetic. Absolutely uses either his voice mask or a gas mask.
He gives the mysterious vibe so he has a lot of people drawn to him. I feel like he gives major Pansexual vibes. He’ll mainly go make out with Denki if he’s solo.
Just a basic Fanny pack with a few things in it like gum, chapstick, lighter.
Definitely a glover. Loves giving light shows because it almost feels like he’s using his quirk.
Can use his quirk in this type of environment but the loudness makes it tricky. Will mainly use it for the purpose of making sure people take care of themselves.
Fumikage Tokoyami
I feel like Tokoyami would definitely be into more dubstep and psytrance.
He was very open minded about raving and definitely wanted to try it at least once.
Occasionally partakes in party favors but likes to be lucid.
Is also a glover like Shinsou. But with Dark Shadow, he can go all out with the tricks and visuals.
Very casual and comfortable. Baggy t shirts and sweats. Will sometimes dress with a cyber punk aesthetic if he feels like adding a little extra oomf.
Trades some kandi but not always.
Dark shadow is a conversation starter and the darkness proves to be particularly tricked but because there are constant sources of light (glow sticks, laser light shows, etc) it’s easily tamable.
Won’t put anybody on his shoulders but Dark Shadow will definitely help hoist somebody up for a better view.
Rave name would probably be things along the lines of ominous authors. So probably Edgar Allan Crow, F.T. Lovecraft, or just Lovecraft.
Keigo “Hawks” Takami
Oh this man? This man eats, sleeps, raves, repeats. He breathes PLUR.
He does partake in party favors but is responsible. He’s the one making sure you keep dosage to a minimal. E and Molly water. Acid sometimes. Shrooms make him feel funny
Can definitely afford the VIP tickets but would rather be in the crowd. Especially because he loves big groups. He’s definitely the kind of guy that gives Chad vibes when you first see him but he’s the complete opposite. Will definitely be the kind of guy to start shit with a Chad that won’t leave girls alone.
Totally shirt off the entire time. Will purposely do some subtle flexing just cuz he can.
Is totally hit on by guys gals and non binary alike. He is a looker so that’s to be expected. Usually cargo shorts are a go-to and he rocks bandanas.
Is a kandi kid for sure and loves to trade. He’s even made a few with his feathers attached but those are especially for people he REALLY vibes with.
He’s got a good mix of music taste. Will totally throw down with the hard stylers but definitely get lost and philosophical with the trancies.
Is a HELLA good kisser and uses his wings when he wants a little privacy.
Speaking of wings, those definitely come in handy at raves. I mean for one thing, they work like an umbrella when it’s hot out. Secondly they’re basically built in fans. Thirdly, they work for privacy. And he’ll totally fly you up and get you a better view of the show.
His charisma is definitely at 100 and I can totally see him getting you backstage to meet your fave artists.
The rave name is tricky but maybe Hawks will be the basic one. His friends use KFC or Red. No wait. Fuck it. Maverick or Top Gun. Something like that.
Alrighty my thirsty gremlins. I’m gonna stop this here. I’m getting a tad lazy so if there are other characters you wanna see from MHA as ravers, blow up my asks and I’ll make a part 2.

One more rambling because I can't get it out of my head:
Quirkless!vigilante!Izuku and Not a villain!Himiko, they're friends. They go pedophile hunting together, it's great.
But the Hero Commission hasn't lifted the ban on quirkless people going to hero schools, so Himiko goes instead.
So there are two threads. One is vigilante/informant Izuku, who is barely connected to the criminal underground and is instead plugged into the homeless network and gets his information that way. The other is former vigilante UA student Himiko, who accepts One For All after saving Uraraka during the entrance exam.
Himiko falls for Ochaco (Togachaco rights), has a passive aggressive friendship with Bakugou, makes friends with both the traditional Dekusquad and Bakusquad, and irrationally hates Aoyama for no reason. She's also more mentally stable because she doesn't have a blood deficiency.
The series goes somewhat as normal. At the USJ, Himiko accidentally kills the Nomu, whoopsies, and Izuku absolutely kicks Stain's ass. Also when the dorms are built, Izuku regularly sneaks onto UA campus to chill with Himiko (and also maybe fight/smooch Bakugou) to the confusion of everyone. Including Nedzu. That fact makes Aizawa terrified of the kid.
Especially when the class starts talking about body counts, Izuku cheerfully exclaims he has a lot before he pauses and says "Oh, you mean in bed," and begins recounting how he and Himiko used to go pedo hunting, where one of them would be the bait and the other one the killer. Himiko can't anymore but Izuku sure still does~
Anyways morally ambiguous Izuku and Himiko bromance, thank you and goodnight.
- Goblin anon
im sorry but IZUTOGA BROMANCE IS THE BEST THING EVER!! followed by togaocha because togaocha rights!!!!
toga accepting ofa is such a wild concept i didn’t know i needed. because she’s actually really smart and strong and ferocious. she’s also very loyal. so ofa!toga, especially loved and raised in UA is just *ascends*
im having a crisis because ofc i want toga in class 1a because she’d fit right in. but also…vlad king personally teaching toga because their quirks are so similar??? toga being afraid of her quirk and then vlad king comes in the hero scence and she sees him and it’s basically like he’s her all might??? yes pleaseeeew
like vlad king fighting aizawa for rights to teach toga. he’s saying how aizawa can have the rest but he really just wants toga because he’s seen that look in toga’s eyes before (the look that shows how scared one is of their own quirk) because it used to be what was shining from his own eyes.
BUT ALSO TOGA IN 1A HNSNNN
toga hating aoyama…because midoriya kind of is taken by aoyama’s detachment yet strong loyalty to 1a. and toga’s like damn it he (aoyama) fits in izu-chan’s taste for friends.
nezu realizing half a semester later (so approx. a month in a half after the dorms were built) that there’s something wrong with his security codings. when he traced it back, he finally realized that midoriya, ever since the year started, was slipping in and out of UA undetected.
nezu, however, doesn’t know how. he keeps trying to change the code but overnight, it’s changed back to midoriya’s intricate codes. he pings aizawa and aizawa gets the memo the moment he walked in on 1a dorms to check on them only to see midoriya chilling in the common rooms with a mud mask on because it’s girls’ night and he was adopted by the girls after he did something to mineta that permanently changed the way mineta looked at the girls. they don’t know what he did, all they know is midoriya left mineta’s room with a smile and mineta, who followed suit, was full on shaking and wouldn’t meet others’ eyes.
aizawa sees the way he’s sitting beside toga (mido-toga-ocha) and groans.
aizawa walks back out and pretends he didn’t see him because it’s already night time and clearly the girls trust him. he’ll report the incident to nezu tomorrow morning instead.
next week, aizawa checks up on them again and this time sees midoriya and bakugou having a moment in the kitchen. bakugou’s cooking and midoriya’s perched at the counter, legs swinging while bakugou grunts at him every time he pauses after his whole rant.
aizawa pretends he doesn’t see anything again, especially because when he turned to look at his students in question, toga did that “disturb them and i’ll end you” pose. aizawa walks away.
THE BODY COUNT SJKASQA
aizawa, hearing the class talk about body counts, skillfully walks away again only to wall back in when midoriya chirps “with a knife!” when kaminari asked how’d he manage to have that much body count.
OKOK BUT WHEN TOGA’S FALLING AFTER HITTING THE ZERO POINTER AND OCHA SLAPPED HER HAND AT HER BACK, SHE TURNS TO OCHA AND SAYS “fuck i didn’t know angels existed” AND PASSED OUT
ocha definitely did not fall in love there wdym. but toga definitely did
also THE BKDK BEING BAKUGOU SEEING HIS GREMLIN CHILDHOOD FRIEND SLITHERING FROM THE WINDOWS AND GOING LIKE “fuck he’s still the same lil shit” BEFORE FALLING ASLEEP AGAIN AND MIDORIYA SEES BAKUGOU AND SCREAMS IN HIS HEAD BECAUSE “oh no he’s hot”

I'm currently on season 3 so somebody's might not be true but I really don't care
Yuga Aoyama- his father is a truck driver his mother is a costume designer she had a hand in designing all nights costume he is the middle child of two sisters and practically lives and a matriarch his father is usually working
Mina Ashido- her mother Wears the pants in the the house her dad is a house husband she also has an older sister and they can't stand each other
Tsuyu Asui- I am well aware that she has siblings A little brother and a little sister their father is an accountant and their mother is a elementary teacher actually some of the students may recognize her because she was their teacher
Tenya Ida- I'm well aware that he has an older brother and he's technically the baby of the family anyway he is a mama's boy he just has that energy he is also a huge snitch when he was little he used to tell on his brother all the time even for a little mundane things
Ochaco Uraraka- she's broke as shit we all know that this isn't even a head cannon I just want to say that I fucking hate her parents why the fuck would you put all that responsibility on your fucking child Like why the hell does she have to worry about your financial endeavors That's not her responsibility
Mashirao Ojiro-this man has two younger sisters they adore him they look up to him they want to be him their mother works as a nurse and his father has passed after he left to UA he frequently writes letters and sends them toys when he gets the chance
Denki Kaminari- he adores his dad and loves to hang out with him even though he is kind of a deadbeat and a loser and relies on his wife to take care of the housework but also makes the most money denki is aware of this but he chooses to ignore it
Eijiro Kirishima- his dad is the absolute coolest he may look intimidating but he is the sweetest man he's a role model to Eijiro he pushes him and wants him to improve he works out with him and always an inspiration to him he never pushes him over the edge but he tries to surpass his limit every time he gets the chance (his mom is also a milf)
Koji Koda- he is also a mama's boy and he's an only child and he never really developed good communication skills. He considers his mom his best friend he also has a pet turtle that he talks to at night when he feels lonely
Rikido Sato- He's a splitting image of his father down to his big lips if you didn't want to be a hero he would definitely want to be a baker just like his mom He's actually planning on writing a cookbook after he graduates
Mezo Shoji- He's a country boy he lives on the farm in a rural area he The oldest of five siblings he takes care of most of them when his parents are out working in the fields He's very protective of them all he passed the mantle of caregiver to his second oldest little brother after he went to UA
Kyoka Jiro- her dad is a musician kind of he had a one hit wonder back in the '80s and everything just went downhill from that he got married to his manager and they had a kid and now they live in the suburbs she has a big brother but he just kind of dipped after he graduated high school they didn't really know where he is
Hanta Sero- he definitely has a little sister and they always fight all the time to the point where it drives their mom crazy his dad is a pro hero and his mom owns a small market in the city
Fumikage Tokoyami- You think his family is just as dark and gloomy as him but no they are friendliest people in the the world they're like Mormons in a way though they don't understand their son's demeanor they believe he's just going through a phase but they love him anyway his mom calls him her little shadow considering he gets his cork from her
Shoto Todoroki- his home life is fucked I don't even have a headcanon for him cuz I'm still processing the boiling water part what the hell?!?! (If you have a head cannon feel free to say it)
Toru Hagakure- she's actually quite self-conscious about her body because she kind of "developed" at a very young age but she is grateful she inherited her father's quirk of invisibility instead of her mom who phases though solid objects she is the middle child of a big brother and a little sister her brother is also a pro hero and inherited his mother's quick He's the reason why she also wants to be a pro hero
Katsuki Bakugo- he favors his mom more than he favors his dad (I'm not good with main character head cannons)
Izuku Midoriya- his mother secretly goes to therapy due to all the shit her son goes through though she doesn't tell him because he doesn't want to worry about her
Minoru Mineta (every time I try to make a head cannon it either ends up being a sob story or a fucking shit post or both) his mother is a hairdresser (I think there's actual evidence in the show) he a triplet of two other brother
his brothers are taller than him and look better than him and his dad's in jail (his mom is also a milf I'm so sorry)
Momo Yaoyorozu- ( I'm really trying to like this character this is something pretentious and uppity about her I don't know if it's just me) both of their parents put so much pressure on her to be a pro hero and they kind of worry more about their family status status she is the oldest of one brother and one sister both of them do not talk to their parents which they keep a dirty secret

You are so right. For the first time ever, I block quite a lot of my moots in twitter and tumblr. I can't believe all the things they said about BNHA (especially Izuku). Personally, I love all the events until now. Do I have complain here and there for a certain characters? Yes, of course I do, but that does not made me hate BNHA. Izuku is a great character and one of my favorite protagonist from all media....Also, as BKDK shipper, I love all the canon moments between Izuku and Katsuki (sorry if maybe you're a fan of Izuku but dislike bakudeku ship).
You know I don't hate IzuOcha ship (I think it's kinda cute) but I do dislike most of their fan right now. One of my ex moots said, "Damn with this events in BNHA. F*ck, at least Midoriya will end up with Uraraka. If somehow Midoriya don't end up with her and only thinking of Bakugou, damn I don't follow this series for the gay sh*ts...."
Like, I'm mad and sad when reading that... For me, I wish Izuku don't end up with anyone at the end of the series (as much as I love BKDK ship, I know it's impossible to be canon). Don't you think it will be funny if there is plot twist and somehow Ochaco end up with Shoto?
That very last bit right there. "... I wish Izuku don't end up with anyone at the end of the series", that?
I've felt that exact feeling since I got into BNHA.
You and I mostly do have the exact same feelings.
Starting with the ships, neither I have a problem with. I have ships just as much as the next problem, but the past year or so has taught me that when it comes to ships, some people don't actually see the characters as individuals and only seem to care about that characters for the sake of their ship.
Which sucks because I feel that takes away a lot of understanding the story. When you don't understand the character's story from their personality to their backstory to their growth, most likely you're not going to understand the overall story.
I hate seeing things like "Well, at least Uraraka will end up with Midoriya" because that just tells me that the person is maybe here for the shipping and that's it and don't care about either character.
Like, why are people so eager to see Uraraka become a wife and have kids? She is a, what, 16 year old girl who wants to be a hero! I want to see her be a hero!
And look, I know BakuDeku got some amazing moments together and some really would make someone go "I ship it". I don't hate it, some of you who followed me long enough know I don't. But at the same time, let's acknowledge they are separate characters. Yes, they're almost like a package deal because they've been in each other's lives since forever. They're going to be intertwined like that.
But come on! How about individually?? Midoriya became my favorite easily and not because of Bakugou.
Like, again, I'm for shipping. I got my ships. But it's not the ships that annoy me (unless otherwise like... *shivers*), it be the shippers.
And yeah, sometimes for any story I read I may have a complaint or two, but I will never understand people who built their whole blogs around "critiquing" and nothing else. Like, damn, how fucking perfect you want the story to be?
In fact, write a story that doesn't get anyone coming at you with something they don't like about it. Impossible. Because someone is going to have something they don't like about it.
Those people will have "takes" and then I just know they have read the story at all. They would miss details or misinterpret the characters how they want them to be looked at and still have no idea what they're talking about.
This fandom, some of the people can be fuckong switch ups, I swear.
So first, Midoriya is too emotional and a crybaby and it's obvious that his flaw was just emotional driven he can be. But now it's a fucking problem he's expressing his emotions at an appropriate time? It's a damn issue he isn't crying for a gag?
Y'all got to be fucking kidding me. This is the same fandom who at a time didn't give a damn about the villains. Who were like "they don't deserve redemption, they should die" even after learning their backstories. And now y'all want to advocate for them? Actually mad even though the story is not even completely done yet?!
I wouldn't say I'm an expert on BNHA or any story I read up. At the end of the day, I am just a fan who happens to be very entertained. I'm here to have fun. But the way this fandom, that fandom and every other fandom be acting makes me feel like I'm reading some whole other manga, watching some different copy of an anime.
[Note: okay, I did giggle at the thought of Horikoshi doing that with Uraraka and Todoroki. I doubt it would happen and I'm not saying it should... it's just funny to me because just yesterday I was thinking something similar with two different characters.]

can you write some kind of izuku fluff possibly where y/n is in a depressive episode :P
yess ofc<3 i rlly do be writing comfort fics today lmao might as well do all of class 1A 0-0... nah jk jk...... unlesss.....
content warning: mental illness, suicidal ideation
!!!!PLEASE LISTEN TO THE CW!!!!
words: 616
recently, your depression has been getting pretty bad. you’ve been in a slump you felt like you couldn’t reach out for probably two months.
you just wanted a break. from the constantly avoiding people. from the zero motivation to do anything except lay in bed and wonder where you went wrong. from the no energy to speak to people. from life.
you couldn’t stand it anymore. you’d been lying to everyone you loved, and no one noticed. you’d been going on and on about how happy and how relieved  you had been feeling.
without all of the details, sure it might not be a total lie.
but the relief is because you had finally thought of a solution.
the solution to get all of this pain and suffering and chronic despair to leave? ending everything. if you didn’t have to feel that anymore, you would win.
but in this depressive and loopy state you were in, you couldn’t see how he had known.  he had caught on.
you couldn’t tell that anyone thought twice about you. you thought that no one cared and no one was there and no one would ever be there for you. ever.
not today. not tomorrow.
izuku could always tell. he knew how badly you felt, how badly you wanted it to end.
so he made it his job to help you blossom.
even though he was your boyfriend, you figured he didn’t care. you thought he didn’t love you anymore because you weren’t as joyful as ochaco or weren’t as quick-witted as momo or you weren’t as kind as tsu.
but he didn’t want ochaco, or momo, or tsu.
he wanted you.
and his worst fear was that you wouldn’t listen to him.
“y/n, your life is worth more than you think.”
“y/n you are the only one i want.”
“please stay, y/n. this is a temporary pain. don’t take a solution you cannot take back.”
“you’re so strong, y/n, please stay. i love you.”
those 4 are some of the many things he begs to you. whether it be through text, call, or real life.
you didn’t know why he was reacting like that, doesn’t he want you gone? isn’t he faking it?? why is he pretending to give two shits about you.?
he isn’t pretending, and neither is anyone who loves you. so many people care about you, you cannot let those shitty thoughts win.
now you were cuddled up against your boyfriend, watching a silly kid show with him.
“zuzu... i jus wanna die.” you sniffled to him while he was rubbing your back, and for a moment his hands completely stopped.
“what.”
“i don’t want to be a burden on you anymore. you can have everything, just please let me end this pain.”
“stop, y/n. don’t say things like that. you arent and will never be a burden. i love you. the pain will stop, you have to let it go. don’t hold onto the pain, hold onto your life.” he said in a calmer voice than usual, his words making you tear up.
you started bawling. you had finally heard what him and many others were telling you. but you took it as truth this time.
“do you understand? you are so  much more than what you’re experiencing. you’re so many people’s rock. you’re my rock. you’re the best person i’ve ever met, please don’t leave me, y/n.”
you hugged him, tight. he held you while you both cried, relief flooding over his body.
“i’ll never leave you, as long as you promise the same to me. you know how i feel about promise-breakers.” he whispered, not loosening his grip on you any time soon.

𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝟏𝐚.
warnings: these are just headcanons mostly focused on them, but the reader is gn, of course!
note: this was suggested, and inspired by this. also, i haven’t written for some of these characters before, so i hope i do them justice!
Tumblr media
scenario: ua’s normal childcare professional is out sick, so you’re teamed up with another class 1a student to take care of the ua teacher’s kids while they’re at a hero banquet. all of the kids are well behaved, but most of these guys aren’t around kids much, so it’s a learning experience.
Tumblr media
mina ashido.
mina is great with kids because she fits right in with them and will listen to them babble about their interests for HOURS because it truly is interesting to her to learn what makes them happy
and she’ll ask you “wow! did ya hear that y/n? she just said that pelicans can turn their stomachs inside out! isn’t that great?”
she just wants to learn whatever she can from them, because she thinks that they have just as much to teach us
i feel like mina is the type of person who gently inserts self love rhetoric and feminist ideas into her conversations w the kids, because she just wants everyone to be uplifted and for them to notice their strengths without being held back by other people’s opinions
she’s always felt that it was easy to be outwardly excited and to have fun, so she’s really good at getting shy kids out of their shell and helping them to let loose, and will encourage you to open up to them a little bit and be a little warmer
she loves to dance, so she’ll host dance parties with the kids and start something goofy like a conga line and lead them around the common room, making them all giggle like crazy
tsuyu asui.
tsu doesn’t really like the loud noises that kids sometimes make, so she’s more likely to organize a game or put on a movie for the kids to watch to keep things calm and steady
she’d let em pick a nature program or an animal-related movie so that she could chime in & give little facts here & there and make them smile!
tsu is a good babysitter because she encourages kids to be curious about their surroundings, and doesn’t mind at all when kids ask questions about her quirk
she’ll show and tell them whatever they want to know, and will even leap out of excitement sometimes!! she’s so cute!!
katsuki bakugo.
contrary to what other people sometimes say, i don’t think that he’s going to be outright rude to kids or yell at them constantly. yes, i know, he was brash with them in those couple episodes, but he’s blunt—not a bad person. he’s not going to just scream at kids for no reason.
sure, he might get frustrated, but he still wants them to feel safe and protected. that’s what heroes do.
and what better way to keep them feeling safe than teaching them self defense techniques?
he’d be all serious like, “alright, so if a villain has you in a chokehold, what do you do?”
and they’re sitting in front of him, all wide eyed and starry lookin, entranced with what he’s teaching them
“who teaches kids this kind of stuff?” you think. (he does)
i also think katsuki is the kid of person who’s going to cook for them and keep them occupied in that way.
he usually likes making complicated stuff, but he has no problem making it less spicy if it means they’ll calm down for a little bit to eat
while everyone’s eating, you look over to him and see him helping a kid hold their chopsticks, before softly praising them, “there ya go. you’ve got it now.” and giving them a small high five
he’s not someone who’s going to be outwardly soft, so doing things for kids like teaching them things or cooking them meals is how he shows he cares.
tenya iida.
tenya likes to tell and read stories with kids, or help them with their homework if they’ve got any
he’ll do terrible voices for all the different characters and make all the kids laugh
he’ll sit patiently with them and will explain the stories or problems just like a teacher would
and he’ll notice if you sneak them any candy, and will call you out discreetly by holding out his hand for some and saying “what? you’re not going to give me one?”
any and all messes will be cleaned up by the kids, and they’ll be lined up & ready when the teachers are ready to come and get them
kyoka jirou.
i think she’d be better with older kids because they’re easier to maintain and entertain (in my opinion)
they don’t ask as many random questions, which sometimes overwhelm her, and they’re more likely to listen to what she has to say
i can see her being really flustered with the attention they give her, because they think she’s so cool, but she’s still pretty relaxed cuz she doesn’t wanna freak them out
she’ll let them have lots of snacks and would play music for them!!
“does anyone know what this instrument is called?”
“that’s right, good job! wanna hear what it sounds like?”
she’ll show them as many instruments as they wanna see, and tries not to blush too hard when they cheer and applaud
denki kaminari.
if you think kids bounce off the walls with energy, they’re about to meet their match with mr. denki kaminari.
he’s the kind of person to challenge them to foot races and to go way too hard in go fish
and he’d do little pranks where he let outs a little shock when they high five him
needless to say, the kids are exhausted when they make it back to their parents
eijirou kirishima.
he. loves. kids.
he thinks they’re so fun to be around and that they’re the next generation of heroes, and they’re full of endless potential!
he’s 100% willing to be a human jungle gym and will play wrestle with them to their heart’s content while making sure they’re not being too rough with each other
he’d compliment them for the smallest stuff, saying “wow! that was super manly, kiddo!” cuz he doesn’t want other people to question their abilities
he’s not the greatest cook, but he’s helpful, so he’ll help you cook for them!
he’ll encourage the kids to help however they can, and will let them stir the bowls while encouraging them!!
lots of high fives and “woo-hoo!”s
izuku midoriya.
izuku adores children’s curiosity and how their questions never seem to end
he can relate to it, because of course he loves compiling information and learning as much as he can about a topic
if one of the kids was a fan of all might??? they’re babbling together about all might’s greatest moments and they’re demonstrating how the move went and how the villain ran away pathetically
he’s very soft w kids because he knows how weird he is.
he agrees that it doesn’t make sense for someone of his size to be that strong, but reminds them that everyone’s quirk works differently, and that they shouldn’t judge people for their quirk or how it chooses to manifest
he’s so understanding and kind w the kids whose quirks haven’t manifested yet, because he knows how bad it feels to feel like you’re es than average, and assures them that it’ll come soon! and even if it doesn’t, you can still make a difference!
which is all the more reason for him to be as gentle as possible, following around the little ones like a mother hen and making sure they’re not gonna walk into something or put a toy into their mouth
would probably tire himself out trying to keep track of all of them and they would all fall asleep in a big hug pile 🥺
mashirao ojiro.
has a lot of fun with kids, because he’s used to being overshadowed by some of the higher achievers in class 1a
but kids think he’s cool because his quirk is so unique and they can’t help but be fascinated and ask a million questions on what he can do with it
he’s happy to share, because lots of people underestimate him and don’t pay attention to what he has to say
would give them rides on his tail and let them pet it (like denki does!)
hanta sero.
he just kinda lets them do their own thing and follows along to make sure that they don’t hurt themselves
would strap a baby to his chest with some tape just to keep them secure with him
and would answer a thousand questions about his quirk without tiring, because he remembers what it was like to be curious of peoples quirks, and he knows they’re not staring to be disrespectful
i think he’s another one that would cook for them, and feel really accomplished when they’re all satisfied
mezo shoji.
although he’s a badass, that’s exactly the reason why he’s the one most hesitant to deal with kids because he’s afraid that he’s going to scare them away
however, he didn’t account for them finding him to be the most fascinating person they’ve laid their eyes on
he would scoop them up in his arms and carry them around and let them use him like a jungle gym
he’s very very gentle with them because he tends to underestimate his strength and would never be able to forgive himself if he was to bring them harm, but he never does because he’s so careful
shoto todoroki.
shoto never really dealt with kids, so he’s hesitant about everything he does.
he’s seen the destruction that his quirk “causes”, and he’s horrified to thing of what could happen if he gets overwhelmed.
shoto underestimates his tolerance and patience. he’s very good with kids, and is very good at getting them to listen.
all it takes is a little flurry of snow and they’re suddenly at full attention for shoto.
ochaco uraraka.
she likes kids, but she’s not very good at being strict with them
they want to read another story? of course she can read another!
they want another snack? sure! why not?
she tries not to let them walk all over her, but they’re just so cute, and she can’t resist.
she’d make their toys float around the room to make them laugh
and they think she’s a princess because of her “magic” and how she wears pink :)
momo yaoyorozu.
momo is like a mom!
shes great at planning things for them to do and keeping them in line and occupied
games are organized and cooperative, so nobody loses!
although she’s not usually like this, she’s more than willing to give hugs and feel better kisses if someone is to bump their head :(
she would feel terrible if someone got hurt on her watch, so she’s encouraging them the be safe if they’re going to be active!
makes lots of fun little snacks for them to eat, with cute faces and stuff, and doesn’t mind to see her hard work enjoyed by such good kids!

Something’s been on my mind for a bit, so I decided to get it out. I’m going to talk about the fight Bakagou vs Uraraka at the sports festival, the effects on the story and his arc, and whether it would have been better if he lost.
Below isn’t exactly Bakagou bashing, but there is some Bakagou critical, though no harm is meant here. Still, if that’s not your cup of tea I would move on.
Before we get into the meat of it all, I want to talk about something that irked me; the out of nowhere gender inequality. Where did the hell did that come from? Even Tenya is like, “surely Bakagou will take it easy on a girl!” What the hell? Before this point, there were no gender discrepancies whatsoever. Lady heroes such as Mt. Lady, Midnight, and Miroku were all on the same level as their male counterparts, so where the hell did this come from?
This is just a trope that I hate in general. Unless your story is actually talking about and dealing with gender inequality and you’re willing to go all the way, don’t even bring it up. It feels like it’s only there so Aizawa can give his “why Bakagou is awesome speech” (ugh) which they could have fit in another way if they wanted it in so bad. I think almost everyone could agree that gender thing wasn’t needed and is annoying.
Anyway, time to dig into why you’re all here; Why I think Bakagou should have lost against Uraraka.
First off—HOW did he win? I can accept Bakagou winning against Monoma as it’s established in-universe that the hero teachers are willing to bend the rules for creative thought, even if it’s unfair. (Makes sense as they’re training these kids to fight villains who don’t play fair at all.)
However, where’s the logical explanation in his fight with Ochaco? How did he manage to make that big of an explosion? If I’m understanding his quirk correctly the size of his explosions coordinates with the amount of sweat he produces. That’s what the grenades are for; they basically collect his bomb sweat and his palms light the spark to set it off. In the fight with Uraraka, he doesn’t use anything to pool his sweat. So how did he release the explosion that size? It’s never been established that he could make a boom that big just with his palms. And if it was his first time, then he should have been injured at least, had some side effects as he’s not used to an attack that size. It wouldn’t take him out of the tournament as Recovery Girl could heal him, but it all would make more sense. (Not to mention take away Gary-Sue points.)
The biggest irritant though is that there was a perfect workaround that could have been used; HIS SHIRT. Bakagou could have torn off his shirt at the last minute and used the sweat collected to create the blast! Not only would this be a decent explanation for his attack but it would have shown Bakagou’s resourcefulness and cunning. (Such a simple solution!) If he did that I would easily accept that he won on his own merits. As is though, I need a legit in-universe reason to accept his victory was won by anything other than the narrative being unfair.
Another reason Bakagou should have lost is that it would have been an interesting twist to his arc while staying inline with it. All his life Bakagou was a big fish in a small pond. As a result, all his victories came easy leading to constant praise. Now he’s at UA where he’s finally fighting people on the same level as him, some even higher. However, the only people he sees as a threat are Izuku and Todoroki. The rest are nothing. He doesn’t see Ochaco as a threat at all. In fact, before their match, he looks down on her. If he lost to Uraraka it would have been a huge hit to his pride while opening his eyes. Bakagou made a big speech about how he was going to defeat everyone, yet he was beaten during his first match against someone he never even considered a challenge.
This works better in the story as well. Now Bakagou doesn’t want to face All Might head-on because he’s a cocky prick nor is he charging the villains because he’s being an arrogant idiot. Bakagou is doing it because he thought he was hot stuff, yet he keeps losing—to the Sludge Villain, to Deku, to Ochaco. Then his one victory only happened because he was forced to work with someone else. Even though he was always the best, always the winner, always being praised for every little thing. This causes conflict with the narrative he’s created in his head all his life. I’m the best! So why am I always losing? Out of desperation to prove something to himself, Bakagou charges headlong into the villains, not because of his pride. It’s still an idiotic act, but the reason is more sympathetic, to me anyway.
That being said, I would miss what originally happened; The only reason the villains took an interest in Bakagou was because of the way he acted after Todoroki lost. Without that, they would have no interest in capturing Bakagou and we would lose what’s arguably Bakagou’s best arc.
This is a rare moment where I gush about something concerning the boy, but I love everything to do with this;
Bakagou was so arrogant and bloodthirsty that despite knowing he was the target, he charged the villains. This leads to the obvious, “what did you think would happen moment” where he’s captured.
The events that follow aren’t necessarily Bakagou’s fault, but they did happen because of his actions. Long story short, All Might fought All For One leading to an amazing fight that ends in All For One getting captured—but also to All Might losing his powers. This means that All Might can no longer be a hero. As such the crime rate goes up by 3% and new villains appear.
Let me be clear; it’s NOT Bakagou’s fault All Might lost his powers. Nor is the crime rate going up. I am absolutely not blaming him for those. All of this would have happened anyway eventually, whether or not Bakagou got caught. And before anyone says it I am NOT saying Bakagou deserved to be kidnapped by the League of Villains. Of course, he didn’t deserve that! However, the fact is all that happen because of Bakagou’s choice and actions.
Bakagou was warned that HE was a target, yet rather than being smart and getting to safety, he decided to fight. This not only placed him along with his classmates in danger but also got himself captured.
Bakagou made a choice and he paid for it, along with others.
THIS is what I live for—no, not Bakagou suffering! The arc has the right amount of setup with EARNED angst and drama. Not only that, but there’s finally a lasting consequence for Bakagou’s actions (society’s as well, but that’s another post). Most of all Bakagou realized he was wrong and tried to learn from it (till later, but I digress). This arc, plus another event, lead to him having a break down with Izuku that could have led to him finally realizing the error of his ways in a narratively satisfying way. (Before Chapter 120 fucked it up, but I digress yet again.)
None of that would have happened if he lost to Uraraka and that would have been a damn shame.
So, what do you all think? Whether you like or dislike the angry porcupine, which path do you think is better for the story and Bakagou’s arc? Would it have been better if he lost to Uraraka and had his pride damaged to the point where he charges the villains to prove himself?
Or is better that he won and was then punished for his arrogance by thinking he could take on a group of villains? Or do you think the villains would still be after Bakagou even if he lost to Uraraka? Or maybe the villains wouldn’t have turned up at the camp at all as they wouldn’t think to kidnap Bakagou?
(Please try to set aside personal feelings for the character as much as possible if you decide to reply, and answer honestly.)

MY HERO ACADEMIA CHAPTER 317 META :
On surpassing childhood heroes and finding ourselves with the help of our friends and family.
Okay my friends, do you remember when I talked about how Dabi and Hawks needed to surpass ir get over Endeavor?
If you don't, then let me make it short for you. Basically I said that Dabi and Hawks are still trapped in the memory of what Endeavor was and that makes them at least a little blind to the present, and specially to the future.
In order to be redeemed, Dabi first needs to heal. That means he needs some help to go pass the harm Endeavor caused him. He needs to be acknowledged, he needs someone that understands his story to help him see there are other options, options where he has a real future, not just dying or rotting in jail. He has a life, he has people that is willing to walk that road with him, he's worthy. And Endeavor was an abuser, yes, but he's meeting (hopefully) his justice and he's not able to hurt him anymore, not as he used to. He needs to get passed Endeavor being his childhood hero (and nightmare), but never forget.
Hawks goes on a slightly different road. Even when he understands many things about reality and Endeavor, he's still basing his value system on what Endeavor made him feel as a child. It's not the person he can't let go of, but the idea. Now, this is problematic in the sense that society is changing, the whole hero system is changing. He's so young and full of life, he still has time. He thinks he doesn't, he thinks his time is over. That's not true. However, Hawks needs to focus on the present and the future, needs to find his rebirth in the hands of the new generations and situations, not in the past.
On that post, the one I was talking about a few paragraphs above, I take Izuku for my example. And then Horikoshi just proved me a bit right with chapter 317 of the manga.
(spoilers under the cut )
If you've read the chapter, you know it was intense. We saw a different Deku, one that doesn't go to UA and doesn't even look like a hero. He doesn't smile, the light in his eyes is gone, and do you know who hs reminds me of?
Yes, Shigaraki Tomura.
Nice touch, because it keeps the emphasis o the parallel between Tomura and Izuku. If you want to read more about this, search in the tags of my blog. I've talk a lot about it.
Deku, who hasn't been taking care of himself correctly, even rejected All Might through a very symbolic scene. All Might, the hero he based his entire life in, was worried about him, offering food. Deku told him he doesn't need to worry anymore, implied that he's already surpassing Toshinori. Deku takes off, leaving Toshinori on his knees, with the bento on the ground, forgotten.
That takes us to the first part of this meta: Surpassing childhood heroes.
This is not exclusive of Izuku, let's clarify that. This whole path began with the very first chapter, when All Might saw in Deku something he has forgotten. He saw something new, the possibility of Deku doing what he never could.
It was the same with All Might and Nana Shimura, or with Lemillion and Nighteye, for example. Legacy, yes, but also going beyond the figure that made you who you are— or were.
An essencial part of growing up is understanding that the people you admired as a kid are not perfect. You can stay within their lines, because at least as a hero you have a duty with the public: you need to do your best, which means you need to try and do better than the ones before you. All Might is a great dude with great problems. He did many things wrong, because he's human and human do things wrong all the time, they can't avoid it. Still, he's responsible for all his mistakes, no one else can take the blame for that.
Deku wanted to be a hero when he didn't know what it implied. He didn't know the system was so corrupted, he was just a kid. So, when can't just be the type of hero he wanted to be. It wouldn't feel right. I believe the story won't allow him either.
There's nothing wrong with Deku surpassing All Might. Yes, he looks exhausted, but that was expected. He's like 16 years old and he's already the pro-heroes against a terrible being. Not just that, he also has to deal with all the knowledge he's getting. That surely is wearing his heart out. He's growing up really fast, becoming a man and getting through all the trauma. It's the war effect.
Shigraki Tomura went through this phase too. He has grown pass AFO. He's not under his control anymore, but he's still being held back. Violently.
In this shonen, Deku is our role model, right? Keep that in mind.
Now, since I've already told you that Deku is not going to be the hero he was going to be when this whole manga started, what about the name? How is this "My Hero Academia"?
Second part, everyone: finding ourselves with the help of our friends and family.
What does this even mean? Well, dear reader, not matter how hard we try, there are things we can't do alone. Overcoming a mental illness, redeeming ourselves, becoming who we want to be... We need support. We need someone to help us stay strong.
I believe that the title "My Hero Academia" refers to Deku's Hero Academia, at least in this meta. This means, this is the story of how Deku learned to be a hero. And that how it's about the old generations, pro-heroes and other figures in his life, yes, but it is only the first step.
The first time Deku acted as a hero was to save Bakugo Katsuki. Then he did it again to save Uraraka Ochaco. To save Todoroki Shoto, etc.
The point is, the teachers and pro-heroes and adult figures in Izuku's life inspired him, but they didn't teach him how to be a hero. The ones always pushing Deku farther, the ones making Deku behave like a real hero, are the younger generations, specially his classmates.
Deku needs his friends. He needs to understand he doesn't have to do everything alone (All Might's mistake) and he needs to understand that this is not just his fight. His friends are family have the right to fight to, they have the right to know what's going on. He can't just do like Endeavor, who pushed his family to the front line and then told them they could not follow him anymore.
The difference between the old generations and the new ones is that these kids have been fighting together since day one. They overcome whatever comes their way by pushing through together. Take Tsuyu and Deku with the first accident at UA. Take the kids during the summer camp, during the license exam, during the war. In a parallel, take Shigaraki Tomura and the League of Villains. They were few, but they reached the top by doing things together.
Deku needs to go beyond, but he can't forget who he is and where he came from. He can surpass All Might, but he doesn't have to completely reject him or leave him behind forever. He needs to act based on the present, but he needs to keep the past close, because the road that take him where he is, that's the road that makes him strong.
There are two lessons in here. Remember this is a meta and it's only my opinion. I can be wrong, you can add whatever you want to this or refute it. I'd love to hear what you think about this!
But well, the first lesson is that you can't live in the past. You can't live in a memory. Yes, maybe that dude rescued you or let you to die somewhere. Yes, maybe the hurt will never go away, maybe you'll never heal completely, but you can't stay there. Living in the past is the same as dying. You can remember it, but then stay in there forever.
The second lesson is that you can become the best you, the hero you or whatever, but you need people to help you. Maybe it's just one person, maybe it's a whole group, but you need someone. Bakugo could have ended up like Endeavor (in the sense of being obsessed with the first place and forgetting to be a decent human being) if it wasn't for his friends at UA. Shoto would have been trapped in his memories if it wasn't for Izuku, etc.
Don't worry, Deku is on his way to be a great hero. At some point, someone is gonna slap him or shake him out of that edgyness. And once the class 1-A and the other kids are set in motion, once they decide it's them (together as one) against all (the quirks of AFO), this is going to become My Hero Academia again.
